01-24:29 And
Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban: and Laban ran out unto the man, unto the well.
01-24:50 Then Laban and Bethuel answered and
said, The thing proceedeth from the LORD: we cannot speak unto thee bad or
good.
01-25:20 And Isaac
was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the
Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.
01-27:43 Now
therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to
01-28:2 Arise, go
to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother’s father; and take thee a wife
from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother’s brother.
01-28:5 And Isaac
sent away Jacob: and he went to Padanaram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of
Rebekah, Jacob’s and Esau’s mother.
01-29:5 And he
said unto them, Know ye Laban the
son of Nahor? And they said, We know him.
01-29:10 And it
came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother’s brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother’s brother, that
Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the
flock of Laban his
mother’s brother.
01-29:13 And it
came to pass, when Laban heard
the tidings of Jacob his sister’s son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced
him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. And he told Laban all these things.
01-29:14 And Laban said to him, Surely thou art my bone and my flesh. And he abode
with him the space of a month.
01-29:15 And Laban said unto Jacob, Because thou
art my brother, shouldest thou
therefore serve me for nought? tell me, what shall thy wages be?
01-29:16 And Laban had two daughters: the name
of the elder was Leah, and the name
of the younger was Rachel.
01-29:19 And Laban said, It is better that I give her to thee, than that I should give her
to another man: abide with me.
01-29:21 And Jacob
said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled,
that I may go in unto her.
01-29:22 And Laban gathered together all the men
of the place, and made a feast.
01-29:24 And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah
Zilpah his maid for an handmaid.
01-29:25 And it
came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this
thou hast done unto me? did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then
hast thou beguiled me?
01-29:26 And Laban said, It must not be so done
in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.
01-29:29 And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter
Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid.
01-30:25 And it
came to pass, when Rachel had born Joseph, that Jacob said unto Laban, Send me away, that I may go
unto mine own place, and to my country.
01-30:27 And Laban said unto him, I pray thee,
if I have found favour in thine eyes, tarry:
for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy
sake.
01-30:34 And Laban said, Behold, I would it
might be according to thy word.
01-30:40 And Jacob
did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstraked,
and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put
them not unto Laban’s cattle.
01-31:2 And Jacob
beheld the countenance of Laban, and, behold, it was not toward him as before.
01-31:12 And he
said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ringstraked, speckled, and grisled:
for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.
01-31:19 And Laban went to shear his sheep: and
Rachel had stolen the images that were her
father’s.
01-31:20 And Jacob
stole away unawares to Laban the
Syrian, in that he told him not that he fled.
01-31:22 And it was
told Laban on the
third day that Jacob was fled.
01-31:24 And God
came to Laban the
Syrian in a dream by night, and said unto him, Take heed that thou speak not to
Jacob either good or bad.
01-31:25 Then Laban overtook Jacob. Now Jacob had
pitched his tent in the mount: and Laban with his brethren pitched in the mount of Gilead.
01-31:26 And Laban said to Jacob, What hast thou
done, that thou hast stolen away unawares to me, and carried away my daughters,
as captives taken with the sword?
01-31:31 And Jacob
answered and said to Laban,
Because I was afraid: for I said, Peradventure thou wouldest take by force thy
daughters from me.
01-31:33 And Laban went into Jacob’s tent, and
into Leah’s tent, and into the two maidservants’ tents; but he found them not. Then went he out of Leah’s
tent, and entered into Rachel’s tent.
01-31:34 Now Rachel
had taken the images, and put them in the camel’s furniture, and sat upon them.
And Laban
searched all the tent, but found them not.
01-31:36 And Jacob
was wroth, and chode with Laban: and Jacob answered and said to Laban, What is my trespass? what is my
sin, that thou hast so hotly pursued after me?
01-31:43 And Laban answered and said unto Jacob,
These daughters are my daughters, and these children
are my children, and these cattle are my cattle, and all that thou seest is mine: and what can I do this day unto these my daughters, or
unto their children which they have born?
01-31:47 And Laban called it Jegarsahadutha: but
Jacob called it Galeed.
01-31:48 And Laban said, This heap is a witness between me and thee this
day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed;
01-31:51 And Laban said to Jacob, Behold this
heap, and behold this pillar, which I
have cast betwixt me and thee;
01-31:55 And early
in the morning Laban rose
up, and kissed his sons and his daughters, and blessed them: and Laban departed, and returned unto
his place.
01-32:4 And he
commanded them, saying, Thus shall ye speak unto my lord Esau; Thy servant
Jacob saith thus, I have sojourned with Laban, and stayed there until now:
01-46:18 These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter,
and these she bare unto Jacob, even sixteen
souls.
01-46:25 These are the sons of Bilhah, which Laban gave unto Rachel his
daughter, and she bare these unto Jacob: all the souls were seven.
05-1:1 These be the words which Moses spake unto all
Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red
sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.
_______________________________________________________________________
01-30:36 And he set
three days’ journey betwixt himself and Jacob: and Jacob fed the rest of Laban’s flocks.
01-30:40 And Jacob
did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstraked,
and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by
themselves, and put them not unto Laban’s cattle.
01-30:42 But when
the cattle were feeble, he put them not
in: so the feebler were Laban’s, and
the stronger Jacob’s.
01-31:1 And he
heard the words of Laban’s
sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our father’s; and of that
which was our father’s hath he
gotten all this glory.

01-31:42 Except the
God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me,
surely thou hadst sent me away now empty. God hath seen mine affliction and the
labour of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight.
01-35:16 And they
journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and
Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour.
01-35:17 And it came
to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the
midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.
02-5:9 Let there more work be laid upon
the men, that they may labour therein; and let
them not regard vain words.
02-20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
05-5:13 Six days
thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
05-26:7 And when
we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked
on our affliction, and our labour, and our
oppression:
06-7:3 And they
returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let
about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour
thither; for they are but few.
06-24:13 And I have
given you a land for which ye did not labour, and
cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and
oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.
16-4:22 Likewise
at the same time said I unto the people, Let every one with his servant lodge
within Jerusalem, that in the night they may be a guard to us, and labour on the day.
16-5:13 Also
I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from
his labour, that performeth not this promise,
even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen,
and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise.
18-9:29 If I be wicked, why then labour I in vain?
18-39:11 Wilt
thou trust him, because his strength is great?
or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?
18-39:16 She
is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers: her labour is in
vain without fear;
19-78:46 He
gave also their increase unto the caterpillar, and their labour unto the locust.
19-90:10 The
days of our years are threescore
years and ten; and if by reason of strength they
be fourscore years, yet is their
strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut
off, and we fly away.
19-104:23 Man
goeth forth unto his work and to his labour
until the evening.
19-105:44 And
gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
19-107:12 Therefore
he brought down their heart with labour; they
fell down, and there was none to
help.
19-109:11 Let
the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.
19-127:1 Except
the LORD build the house, they labour in vain
that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
19-128:2 For
thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well
with thee.
19-144:14 That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going
out; that there be no complaining in
our streets.
20-10:16 The
labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.
20-13:11 Wealth
gotten by vanity shall be diminished:
but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.
20-14:23 In
all labour there is profit: but the talk of the
lips tendeth only to penury.
20-21:25 The
desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.
20-23:4 Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.
21-1:3 What
profit hath a man of all his labour which he
taketh under the sun?
21-1:8 All
things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with
hearing.
21-2:10 And
whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from
any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour:
and this was my portion of all my labour.
21-2:11 Then
I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.
21-2:18 Yea,
I hated all my labour which I had taken under
the sun: because I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me.
21-2:19 And
who knoweth whether he shall be a wise man
or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all my labour
wherein I have laboured, and wherein I have shewed myself wise under the sun.
This is also vanity.
21-2:20 Therefore
I went about to cause my heart to despair of all the labour
which I took under the sun.
21-2:21 For
there is a man whose labour is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in equity; yet to a man that
hath not laboured therein shall he leave it for
his portion. This also is vanity
and a great evil.
21-2:22 For
what hath man of all his labour, and of the
vexation of his heart, wherein he hath laboured under the sun?
21-2:24 There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good
in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.
21-3:13 And
also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the
gift of God.
21-4:8 There
is one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he hath
neither child nor brother: yet is there no
end of all his labour; neither is his eye
satisfied with riches; neither saith he, For
whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good?
This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail.
21-4:9 Two
are better than one; because they
have a good reward for their labour.
21-5:15 As
he came forth of his mother’s womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and
shall take nothing of his labour, which he may
carry away in his hand.
21-5:18 Behold
that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to
enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under
the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion.
21-5:19 Every
man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to
eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the
gift of God.
21-6:7 All
the labour of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.
21-8:15 Then
I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to
eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him
under the sun.
21-8:17 Then
I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done
under the sun: because though a man labour to
seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea farther; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.
21-9:9 Live
joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity,
which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which
thou takest under the sun.
21-10:15 The
labour of the foolish wearieth every one of
them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.
23-22:4 Therefore
said I, Look away from me: I will weep bitterly, labour
not to comfort me, because of the spoiling of the daughter of my people.
23-45:14 Thus
saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and
merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over
unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they
shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make
supplication unto thee, saying, Surely
God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.
23-55:2 Wherefore
do ye spend money for that which is not
bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul
delight itself in fatness.
23-65:23 They
shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for
trouble; for they are the seed of the
blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
24-3:24 For
shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from
our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
24-20:18 Wherefore
came I forth out of the womb to see labour and
sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame?
24-51:58 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken,
and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labour in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they
shall be weary.
25-5:5 Our
necks are under persecution: we labour, and have
no rest.
26-23:29 And
they shall deal with thee hatefully, and shall take away all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare: and the
nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be discovered, both thy lewdness and thy
whoredoms.
26-29:20 I
have given him the land of Egypt for his
labour wherewith he served against it, because
they wrought for me, saith the Lord GOD.
33-4:10 Be
in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter
of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city,
and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the LORD
shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.
35-2:13 Behold,
is it not of the LORD of hosts that
the people shall labour in the very fire, and the
people shall weary themselves for very vanity?
35-3:17 Although
the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall
fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield
no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
37-1:11 And
I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the
corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon
cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.
40-11:28 Come unto
me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
43-4:38 I sent you
to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour:
other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.
43-6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that
meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto
you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
45-16:6 Greet
Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.
45-16:12 Salute
Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord.
Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord.
46-3:8 Now
he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his
own reward according to his own labour.
46-4:12 And
labour, working with our own hands: being
reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:
46-15:58 Therefore,
my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work
of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour
is not in vain in the Lord.
47-5:9 Wherefore
we labour, that, whether present or absent, we
may be accepted of him.
48-4:11 I am
afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour
in vain.
49-4:28 Let him
that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour,
working with his hands the thing
which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
50-1:22 But if I
live in the flesh, this is the fruit
of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.
50-2:25 Yet I
supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in
labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger,
and he that ministered to my wants.
51-1:29 Whereunto
I also labour, striving according to his
working, which worketh in me mightily.
52-1:3 Remembering
without ceasing your work of faith, and labour
of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and
our Father;
52-2:9 For
ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail:
for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of
you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
52-3:5 For
this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by
some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour
be in vain.
52-5:12 And
we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour
among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
53-3:8 Neither
did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable
to any of you:
54-4:10 For
therefore we both labour and suffer reproach,
because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of
those that believe.
54-5:17 Let the
elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
58-4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man
fall after the same example of unbelief.
58-6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work
and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward
his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
66-2:2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear
them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and
are not, and hast found them liars:

16-4:21 So
we laboured in the work: and half of them held
the spears from the rising of the morning till the stars appeared.
18-20:18 That
which he laboured for shall he restore, and
shall not swallow it down: according
to his substance shall the restitution be, and
he shall not rejoice therein.
21-2:11 Then
I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I
had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.
21-2:19 And
who knoweth whether he shall be a wise man

21-2:21 For
there is a man whose labour is in

21-2:22 For
what hath man of all his labour, and of the vexation of his heart, wherein he
hath laboured under the sun?
21-5:16 And
this also is a sore evil, that in all points as he came, so shall
he go: and what profit hath he that hath laboured
for the wind?
23-47:12 Stand
now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein
thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou
shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.
23-47:15 Thus
shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured,
even thy merchants, from thy youth:
they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.
23-49:4 Then
I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my
strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely
my judgment is with the LORD, and my
work with my God.
23-62:8 The
LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I
will no more give thy corn to be meat
for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for
the which thou hast laboured:
27-6:14 Then
the king, when he heard these words,
was sore displeased with himself, and set his
heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured
till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
32-4:10 Then
said the LORD, Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a
night, and perished in a night:
43-4:38 I sent
you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.
45-16:12 Salute
Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which
laboured much in the Lord.
46-15:10 But
by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of
God which was with me.
50-2:16 Holding
forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have
not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
50-4:3 And I intreat
thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured
with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
66-2:3 And hast borne, and hast patience,
and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast
not fainted.

42-10:7 And
in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the
labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from

saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy
of his reward.

40-MATTHEW
40-9:37 Then
saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
40-9:38 Pray ye
therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
40-20:1 For the
kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that
is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.
40-20:2 And when
he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a
day, he sent them into his vineyard.
40-20:8 So when
even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
42-10:2 Therefore
said he unto them, The harvest truly is great,
but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would
send forth labourers into his harvest.
46-3:9 For
we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s
husbandry, ye are God’s building.
59-5:4 Behold,
the hire of the labourers who have reaped down
your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them
which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

that laboureth laboureth

21-3:9 What

46-16:16 That
ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.
55-2:6 The
husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker
of the fruits.

21-5:12 The
sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the
rich will not suffer him to sleep.
44-20:35 I have
shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye

51-4:12 Epaphras,
who is one of you, a servant of
Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently
for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of
God.
52-2:9 For
ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring
night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached
unto you the gospel of God.

02-23:16 And the feast of harvest, the
firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown
in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which
is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.
05-28:33 The fruit
of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation
which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed
alway:
20-5:10 Lest
strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours
be in the house of a stranger;
23-58:3 Wherefore
have we fasted, say they, and thou
seest not? wherefore have we afflicted
our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find
pleasure, and exact all your labours.
24-20:5 Moreover
I will deliver all the strength of this city, and all the labours thereof, and all the precious things thereof,
and all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their
enemies, which shall spoil them, and take them, and carry them to Babylon.
28-12:8 And
Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labours
they shall find none iniquity in me that were
sin.
37-2:17 I
smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the LORD.
43-4:38 I sent
you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are
entered into their labours.
47-6:5 In
stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours,
in watchings, in fastings;
47-10:15 Not
boasting of things without our measure,
that is, of other men’s labours; but having hope, when your faith is
increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,
47-11:23 Are
they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant,
in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.
66-14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven
saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the
dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they
may rest from their labours; and their works do
follow them.

02-28:37 And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the

06-10:3 Wherefore
Adonizedec king of Jerusalem sent unto Hoham king of Hebron, and unto Piram
king of Jarmuth, and unto Japhia king of Lachish, and unto Debir king of Eglon, saying,
06-10:5 Therefore
the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the
king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves
together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before Gibeon,
and made war against it.
06-10:23 And they
did so, and brought forth those five kings unto him out of the cave, the king
of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon.
06-10:31 And Joshua
passed from Libnah, and all Israel with him, unto Lachish, and encamped against it, and fought against
it:
06-10:32 And the
LORD delivered Lachish into
the hand of Israel, which took it on the second day, and smote it with the edge
of the sword, and all the souls that were
therein, according to all that he had done to Libnah.
06-10:33 Then Horam
king of Gezer came up to help Lachish; and Joshua smote him and his people, until he
had left him none remaining.
06-10:34 And from Lachish Joshua passed unto Eglon,
and all Israel with him; and they encamped against it, and fought against it:
06-10:35 And they
took it on that day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls
that were therein he utterly
destroyed that day, according to all that he had done to Lachish.
06-12:11 The king
of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;
06-15:39 Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,
12-14:19 Now
they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem: and he fled to Lachish; but they sent after him to
Lachish, and
slew him there.
12-18:14 And
Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria to Lachish, saying, I have offended; return from me: that
which thou puttest on me will I bear. And the king of Assyria appointed unto
Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of
gold.
12-18:17 And
the king of Assyria sent Tartan and Rabsaris and Rabshakeh from Lachish to king Hezekiah with a
great host against Jerusalem. And they went up and came to Jerusalem. And when
they were come up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is in the highway of the fuller’s field.
12-19:8 So
Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah: for
he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.
14-11:9 And
Adoraim, and Lachish, and
Azekah,
14-25:27 Now
after the time that Amaziah did turn away from following the LORD they made a
conspiracy against him in Jerusalem; and he fled to Lachish: but they sent to Lachish after him, and slew him there.
14-32:9 After
this did Sennacherib king of Assyria send his servants to Jerusalem, (but he himself laid siege against Lachish, and all his power with
him,) unto Hezekiah king of Judah, and unto all Judah that were at Jerusalem, saying,
16-11:30 Zanoah,
Adullam, and in their villages, at Lachish, and the fields thereof, at
Azekah, and in the villages thereof.
And they dwelt from Beersheba unto the valley of Hinnom.
23-36:2 And
the king of Assyria sent Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem unto king Hezekiah with a great army.
And he stood by the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s
field.
23-37:8 So
Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah: for
he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.
24-34:7 When
the king of Babylon’s army fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities
of Judah that were left, against Lachish, and against Azekah: for these defenced cities
remained of the cities of Judah.
33-1:13 O
thou inhabitant of Lachish,
bind the chariot to the swift beast: she is
the beginning of the sin to the daughter of Zion: for the transgressions of
Israel were found in thee.

01-18:28 Peradventure
there shall lack five of the fifty righteous:
wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty
and five, I will not destroy it.
02-16:18 And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much
had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack;
they gathered every man according to his eating.
05-8:9 A land wherein
thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a
land whose stones are iron, and out
of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.
18-4:11 The
old lion perisheth for lack of prey, and the
stout lion’s whelps are scattered abroad.
18-38:41 Who
provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander
for lack of meat.
19-34:10 The
young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they
that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
20-28:27 He
that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he
that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
21-9:8 Let
thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack
no ointment.
28-4:6 My
people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because
thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no
priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget
thy children.
40-19:20 The young
man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
47-8:15 As
it is written, He that had gathered much
had nothing over; and he that had
gathered little had no lack.
50-2:30 Because
for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to
supply your lack of service toward me.
52-4:12 That
ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
59-1:5 If any
of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that
giveth to all men liberally, and
upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

05-2:7 For the
LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy
walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.
10-2:30 And
Joab returned from following Abner: and when he had gathered all the people
together, there lacked of David’s servants
nineteen men and Asahel.
10-17:22 Then
David arose, and all the people that were
with him, and they passed over Jordan: by the morning light there lacked not one of them that was not gone over Jordan.
11-4:27 And
those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto
king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked
nothing.
11-11:22 Then
Pharaoh said unto him, But what hast thou lacked
with me, that, behold, thou seekest to go to thine own country? And he
answered, Nothing: howbeit let me go in any wise.
16-9:21 Yea,
forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their
clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.
42-8:6 And some
fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it
lacked moisture.
42-22:35 And he
said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
44-4:34 Neither
was there any among them that lacked: for as
many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of
the things that were sold,
46-12:24 For
our comely parts have no need: but
God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:
50-4:10 But I rejoiced
in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished
again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked
opportunity.

41-10:21 Then Jesus
beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and
give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the
cross, and follow me.
42-18:22 Now when
Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest
thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou
shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

04-31:49 And they
said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.
10-3:29 Let

fail from the house of Joab one that hath an issue, or that is a leper, or that
leaneth on a staff, or that falleth on the sword, or that lacketh bread.
20-6:32 But whoso committeth adultery with a
woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.
20-12:9 He that is despised, and hath a servant,
is better than he that honoureth
himself, and lacketh bread.
61-1:9 But he that
lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see
afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

03-2:13 And every
oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou

03-22:23 Either a
bullock or a lamb that hath any thing superfluous or lacking
in his parts, that mayest thou offer for a
freewill offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted.
07-21:3 And
said, O LORD God of Israel, why is this come to pass in Israel, that there
should be to day one tribe lacking in Israel?
09-30:19 And
there was nothing lacking to them, neither small
nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: David
recovered all.
24-23:4 And
I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no
more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking,
saith the LORD.
46-16:17 I
am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which
was lacking on your part they have supplied.
47-11:9 And
when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that
which was lacking to me the brethren which came
from Macedonia supplied: and in all things
I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.

and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that
which is lacking in your faith?

01-21:12 And God said
unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah
hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be
called.
01-21:17 And God
heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God
called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear
not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad
where he is.
01-21:18 Arise, lift
up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I
will make him a great nation.
01-21:19 And God
opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the
bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.
01-21:20 And God
was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the
wilderness, and became an archer.
01-22:5 And
Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.
01-22:12 And he
said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither
do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou
hast not withheld thy son, thine only son
from me.
01-37:2 These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding
the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with
the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives: and Joseph brought unto his father
their evil report.
01-43:8 And Judah
said unto Israel his father, Send the lad with
me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die, both we, and thou,
and also our little ones.
01-44:22 And we
said unto my lord, The lad cannot leave his
father: for if he should leave his
father, his father would die.
01-44:30 Now
therefore when I come to thy servant my father, and the lad be not with us;
seeing that his life is bound up in the lad’s life;
01-44:31 It shall come
to pass, when he seeth that the lad is not with us, that he will die: and thy servants shall bring down the
gray hairs of thy servant our father with sorrow to the grave.
01-44:32 For thy servant
became surety for the lad unto my father,
saying, If I bring him not unto thee, then I shall bear the blame to my father
for ever.
01-44:33 Now
therefore, I pray thee, let thy servant abide instead of the lad a bondman to my lord; and let the lad go up with his brethren.
01-44:34 For how
shall I go up to my father, and the lad be not with me? lest peradventure I see
the evil that shall come on my father.
07-16:26 And
Samson said unto the lad that held him by the
hand, Suffer me that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house standeth, that
I may lean upon them.
09-20:21 And,
behold, I will send a lad, saying, Go, find out the arrows. If I expressly say unto the lad, Behold, the arrows are on this side of thee, take them; then come thou: for there is peace to thee, and no hurt; as the LORD liveth.
09-20:35 And
it came to pass in the morning, that Jonathan went out into the field at the
time appointed with David, and a little lad with
him.
09-20:36 And
he said unto his lad, Run, find out now the
arrows which I shoot. And as the lad ran, he shot an arrow beyond him.
09-20:37 And
when the lad was come to the place of the arrow
which Jonathan had shot, Jonathan cried after the lad,
and said, Is not the arrow beyond
thee?
09-20:38 And
Jonathan cried after the lad, Make speed, haste,
stay not. And Jonathan’s lad gathered up the
arrows, and came to his master.
09-20:39 But
the lad knew not any thing: only Jonathan and
David knew the matter.
09-20:40 And
Jonathan gave his artillery unto his lad, and
said unto him, Go, carry them to the
city.
09-20:41 And as soon as the lad was gone, David arose out of a place toward the south, and fell on his face to the ground, and
bowed himself three times: and they kissed one another, and wept one with
another, until David exceeded.
10-17:18 Nevertheless
a lad saw them, and told Absalom: but they went
both of them away quickly, and came to a man’s house in Bahurim, which had a
well in his court; whither they went down.
12-4:19 And
he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother.
43-6:9 There is
a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and
two small fishes: but what are they among so many?
