01-GENESIS
01-13:6 And the land was not able
to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was
great, so that they could not dwell together.
01-15:5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now
toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able
to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
01-33:14 Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant:
and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the
children be able to endure, until I come unto my
lord unto Seir.
02-10:5 And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one
cannot be able to see the earth: and they
shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from
the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field:
02-18:18 Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people
that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee;
thou art not able to perform it thyself alone.
02-18:21 Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating
covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of
thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:
02-18:23 If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so,
then thou shalt be able to endure, and all
this people shall also go to their place in peace.
02-18:25 And Moses chose able
men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of
thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.
02-40:35 And Moses was not able
to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon,
and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
03-5:7 And if he be not able
to bring a lamb, then he shall bring for his trespass, which he hath committed,
two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, unto the LORD; one for a sin offering,
and the other for a burnt offering.
03-5:11 But if he be not able
to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring
for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering;
he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any frankincense
thereon: for it is a sin offering.
03-12:8 And if she be not able to
bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one
for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest
shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean.
03-14:22 And two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, such as he
is able to get; and the one shall be a sin
offering, and the other a burnt offering.
03-14:31 Even such as
he is able to get, the one for a sin
offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meat offering:
and the priest shall make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed before
the LORD.
03-14:32 This is the law of him in whom is the
plague of leprosy, whose hand is not able to get
that which pertaineth to his cleansing.
03-25:26 And if the man have none to redeem it, and himself be able to redeem it;
03-25:28 But if he be not able
to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand
of him that hath bought it until the year of jubile: and in the jubile
it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.
03-25:49 Either his uncle, or his uncle’s son, may redeem him,
or any that is nigh of kin unto him of his family may redeem him; or if
he be able, he may redeem himself.
04-1:3 From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and
Aaron shall number them by their armies.
04-1:20 And the children of Reuben, Israel’s eldest son, by
their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers,
according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty
years old and upward, all that were able to go
forth to war;
04-1:22 Of the children of Simeon, by their generations, after
their families, by the house of their fathers, those that were numbered of them,
according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty
years old and upward, all that were able to go
forth to war;
04-1:24 Of the children of Gad, by their generations, after
their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the
names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able
to go forth to war;
04-1:26 Of the children of Judah, by their generations, after their
families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names,
from twenty years old and upward, all that were able
to go forth to war;
04-1:28 Of the children of Issachar, by their generations,
after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of
the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:30 Of the children of Zebulun, by their generations,
after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of
the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:32 Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the
children of Ephraim, by their generations, after their families, by the house
of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old
and upward, all that were able to go forth to
war;
04-1:34 Of the children of Manasseh, by their generations, after
their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the
names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able
to go forth to war;
04-1:36 Of the children of Benjamin, by their generations,
after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of
the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:38 Of the children of Dan, by their generations, after
their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the
names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able
to go forth to war;
04-1:40 Of the children of Asher, by their generations, after their
families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names,
from twenty years old and upward, all that were able
to go forth to war;
04-1:42 Of the children of Naphtali, throughout their
generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to
the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:45 So were all those that were numbered of the children
of Israel, by the house of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, all
that were able to go forth to war in Israel;
04-11:14 I am not able to bear
all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me.
04-13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said,
Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able
to overcome it.
04-13:31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger
than we.
04-14:16 Because the LORD was not able
to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath
slain them in the wilderness.
04-22:11 Behold, there is a people come out of Egypt,
which covereth the face of the earth: come now, curse me them;
peradventure I shall be able to overcome them,
and drive them out.
04-22:37 And Balak said unto Balaam, Did I not earnestly send
unto thee to call thee? wherefore camest thou not unto me? am I not able indeed to promote thee to honour?
04-26:2 Take the sum of all the congregation of the children
of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, throughout their fathers’ house,
all that are able to go to war in Israel.
05-1:9 And I spake unto you at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you myself alone:
05-7:24 And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and
thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed
them.
05-9:28 Lest the land whence thou broughtest us out say, Because
the LORD was not able to bring them into the
land which he promised them, and because he hated them, he hath brought them
out to slay them in the wilderness.
05-11:25 There shall no man be able
to stand before you: for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of
you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath
said unto you.
05-14:24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art
not able to carry it; or if the place be
too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there,
when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
05-16:17 Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God
which he hath given thee.
06-1:5 There shall not any man be able
to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so
I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
06-14:12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD
spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there,
and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be
the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able
to drive them out, as the LORD said.
06-23:9 For the LORD hath driven out from before you great
nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.
07-8:3 God hath delivered into your hands the princes of
Midian, Oreb and Zeeb: and what was I able
to do in comparison of you? Then their anger was abated toward him, when he had
said that.
09-6:20 And the men of Bethshemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom
shall he go up from us?
09-17:9 If he be able to fight
with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail
against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.
09-17:33 And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him:
for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.
11-3:9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to
judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
11-9:21 Their children that were left after them in the land,
whom the children of Israel also were not able
utterly to destroy, upon those did Solomon levy a tribute of bondservice unto
this day.
12-3:21 And when all the Moabites heard that the kings were
come up to fight against them, they gathered all that were able to put on armour, and upward, and stood in the
border.
12-18:23 Now therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my lord the
king of Assyria, and I will deliver thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.
12-18:29 Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you:
for he shall not be able to deliver you out of
his hand:
13-5:18 The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the
tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to
bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four
and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.
13-9:13 And their brethren, heads of the house of their
fathers, a thousand and seven hundred and threescore; very able men for the work of the service of the house of
God.
13-26:8 All these of the sons of Obededom: they and
their sons and their brethren, able men for
strength for the service, were threescore and two of Obededom.
13-29:14 But who am I, and what is my people, that
we should be able to offer so willingly after
this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given
thee.
14-2:6 But who is able to
build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him?
who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn
sacrifice before him?
14-7:7 Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that
was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt
offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the brasen altar which
Solomon had made was not able to receive the
burnt offerings, and the meat offerings, and the fat.
14-20:6 And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not
thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the
heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is
able to withstand thee?
14-20:37 Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied
against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the
LORD hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.
14-25:5 Moreover Amaziah gathered Judah together, and made
them captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, according to the
houses of their fathers, throughout all Judah and Benjamin: and
he numbered them from twenty years old and above, and found them three hundred
thousand choice men, able to go forth to
war, that could handle spear and shield.
14-25:9 And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we
do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the
man of God answered, The LORD is able to give
thee much more than this.
14-32:13 Know ye not what I and my fathers have done unto all
the people of other lands? were the gods of the nations of those lands
any ways able to deliver their lands out of mine
hand?
14-32:14 Who was there among all the gods of those
nations that my fathers utterly destroyed, that could deliver his people out of
mine hand, that your God should be able to
deliver you out of mine hand?
14-32:15 Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor
persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him: for no god of any
nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people
out of mine hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall
your God deliver you out of mine hand?
15-10:13 But the people are many, and it is a
time of much rain, and we are not able to stand
without, neither is this a work of one day or two: for we are
many that have transgressed in this thing.
16-4:10 And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens
is decayed, and there is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall.
18-41:10 None is so fierce that dare stir him up:
who then is able to stand before me?
19-18:38 I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.
19-21:11 For they intended evil against thee: they
imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
19-36:12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they
are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
19-40:12 For innumerable evils have compassed me about:
mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine
head: therefore my heart faileth me.
20-27:4 Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous;
but who is able to stand before envy?
21-8:17 Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find
out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to
seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea farther; though a wise
man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.
23-36:8 Now therefore give pledges, I pray thee, to my master
the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.
23-36:14 Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you:
for he shall not be able to deliver you.
23-47:11 Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not
know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou
shalt not be able to put it off: and
desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.
23-47:12 Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the
multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be
thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest
prevail.
24-10:10 But the LORD is the true God, he is the
living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall
tremble, and the nations shall not be able to
abide his indignation.
24-11:11 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring
evil upon them, which they shall not be able to
escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.
24-49:10 But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret
places, and he shall not be able to hide himself:
his seed is spoiled, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he is not.
25-1:14 The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand:
they are wreathed, and come up upon my neck: he hath made my
strength to fall, the Lord hath delivered me into their hands, from
whom I am not able to rise up.
26-7:19 They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their
gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the
LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels:
because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
26-33:12 Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of
thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day
of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not
fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the
righteous be able to live for his righteousness
in the day that he sinneth.
26-46:5 And the meat offering shall be an ephah for a ram,
and the meat offering for the lambs as he shall be able
to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah.
26-46:11 And in the feasts and in the solemnities the meat
offering shall be an ephah to a bullock, and an ephah to a ram, and to the
lambs as he is able to give, and an hin of oil
to an ephah.
27-2:26 The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was
Belteshazzar, Art thou able to make known unto
me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof?
27-3:17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and
he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
27-4:18 This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou,
O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men
of my kingdom are not able to make known
unto me the interpretation: but thou art able;
for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.
27-4:37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the
King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment:
and those that walk in pride he is able to
abase.
27-6:20 And when he came to the den, he cried with a
lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to
Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest
continually, able to deliver thee from the
lions?
30-7:10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam
king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the
house of Israel: the land is not able to
bear all his words.
36-1:18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD’S wrath;
but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he
shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.
40-3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have
Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto
Abraham.
40-9:28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men
came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
40-10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him
which is able to destroy both soul and body in
hell.
40-19:12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their
mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs
of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the
kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to
receive it, let him receive it.
40-20:22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask.
Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall
drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say
unto him, We are able.
40-22:46 And no man was able to
answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any
more questions.
40-26:61 And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in
three days.
41-4:33 And with many such parables spake he the word unto
them, as they were able to hear it.
42-1:20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall
be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in
their season.
42-3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and
begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father:
for I say unto you, That God is able of these
stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
42-12:26 If ye then be not able
to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
42-13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for
many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
42-14:29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is
not able to finish it, all that behold it
begin to mock him,
42-14:30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
42-14:31 Or what king, going to make war against another king,
sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able
with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
42-21:15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your
adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor
resist.
43-10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than
all; and no man is able to pluck them out
of my Father’s hand.
43-21:6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side
of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
44-6:10 And they were not able
to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.
44-15:10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the
neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
44-20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the
word of his grace, which is able to build you
up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
44-25:5 Let them therefore, said he, which among you are able, go down with me, and accuse this man, if
there be any wickedness in him.
45-4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised,
he was able also to perform.
45-8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall
be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
45-11:23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall
be grafted in: for God is able to graft
them in again.
45-14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to
his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for
God is able to make him stand.
45-15:14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren,
that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
46-3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat:
for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither
yet now are ye able.
46-6:5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a
wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able
to judge between his brethren?
46-10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is
common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be
tempted above that ye are able; but will with
the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
47-1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may
be able to comfort them which are in any
trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
47-3:6 Who also hath made us able
ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit:
for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
47-9:8 And God is able
to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in
all things, may abound to every good work:
49-3:18 May be able to
comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth,
and height;
49-3:20 Now unto him that is able
to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the
power that worketh in us,
49-6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
49-6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that
ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and
having done all, to stand.
49-6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye
shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of
the wicked.
50-3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be
fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
55-1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things:
nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am
persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have
committed unto him against that day.
55-2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many
witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
55-3:7 Ever learning, and never able
to come to the knowledge of the truth.
55-3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy
scriptures, which are able to make thee wise
unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
56-1:9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught,
that he may be able by sound doctrine both to
exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
58-2:18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he
is able to succour them that are tempted.
58-5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up
prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he
feared;
58-7:25 Wherefore he is able
also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever
liveth to make intercession for them.
58-11:19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also
he received him in a figure.
59-1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of
naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
59-3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend
not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
59-4:12 There is one lawgiver, who is able
to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
61-1:15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in
remembrance.
65-1:24 Now unto him that is able
to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the
presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
66-5:3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the
earth, was able to open the book, neither to
look thereon.
66-6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall
be able to stand?
66-13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto
the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like
unto the beast? who is able to make war with
him?
66-15:8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of
God, and from his power; and no man was able to
enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were

09-14:50 And the name of Saul’s wife was Ahinoam, the
daughter of Ahimaaz: and the name of the captain of his host was Abner, the son of Ner, Saul’s
uncle.
09-14:51 And Kish was the father of Saul; and Ner the
father of Abner was
the son of Abiel.
09-17:55 And when Saul saw David go forth against the
Philistine, he said unto Abner, the
captain of the host, Abner, whose
son is this youth? And Abner said, As thy soul liveth, O king, I cannot
tell.
09-17:57 And as David returned from the slaughter of the
Philistine, Abner took him,
and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand.
09-20:25 And the king sat upon his seat, as at other times, even
upon a seat by the wall: and Jonathan arose, and Abner sat by Saul’s side, and
David’s place was empty.
09-26:5 And David arose, and came to the place where Saul had
pitched: and David beheld the place where Saul lay, and Abner the son of Ner, the captain
of his host: and Saul lay in the trench, and the people pitched round
about him.
09-26:7 So David and Abishai came to the people by night:
and, behold, Saul lay sleeping within the trench, and his spear stuck in the
ground at his bolster: but Abner and the people lay round about him.
09-26:14 And David cried to the people, and to Abner the son of Ner, saying,
Answerest thou not, Abner? Then Abner answered and said, Who art
thou that criest to the king?
09-26:15 And David said to Abner, Art not thou a valiant man? and
who is like to thee in Israel? wherefore then hast thou not kept thy
lord the king? for there came one of the people in to destroy the king thy
lord.
10-2:8 But Abner the son of Ner, captain of Saul’s host, took Ishbosheth
the son of Saul, and brought him over to Mahanaim;
10-2:12 And Abner the son of Ner, and the servants of Ishbosheth
the son of Saul, went out from Mahanaim to Gibeon.
10-2:14 And Abner said to Joab, Let the young men now arise, and
play before us. And Joab said, Let them arise.
10-2:17 And there was a very sore battle that day; and Abner was beaten, and the men of
Israel, before the servants of David.
10-2:19 And Asahel pursued after Abner; and in going he turned not to the right hand nor
to the left from following Abner.
10-2:20 Then Abner looked behind him, and said, Art thou
Asahel? And he answered, I am.
10-2:21 And Abner said to him, Turn thee aside to thy right hand or
to thy left, and lay thee hold on one of the young men, and take thee his
armour. But Asahel would not turn aside from following of him.
10-2:22 And Abner said again to Asahel, Turn thee aside from
following me: wherefore should I smite thee to the ground? how then
should I hold up my face to Joab thy brother?
10-2:23 Howbeit he refused to turn aside: wherefore Abner with the hinder end of the
spear smote him under the fifth rib, that the spear came out behind him;
and he fell down there, and died in the same place: and it came to pass,
that as many as came to the place where Asahel fell down and died stood
still.
10-2:24 Joab also and Abishai pursued after Abner: and the sun went down
when they were come to the hill of Ammah, that lieth before Giah by the
way of the wilderness of Gibeon.
10-2:25 And the children of Benjamin gathered themselves
together after Abner, and
became one troop, and stood on the top of an hill.
10-2:26 Then Abner called to Joab, and said, Shall the sword devour
for ever? knowest thou not that it will be bitterness in the latter end? how
long shall it be then, ere thou bid the people return from following their
brethren?
10-2:29 And Abner and his men walked all that night through the
plain, and passed over Jordan, and went through all Bithron, and they came to
Mahanaim.
10-2:30 And Joab returned from following Abner: and when he had
gathered all the people together, there lacked of David’s servants nineteen men
and Asahel.
10-3:6 And it came to pass, while there was war between the
house of Saul and the house of David, that Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul.
10-3:7 And Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah,
the daughter of Aiah: and Ishbosheth said to Abner, Wherefore hast thou gone in
unto my father’s concubine?
10-3:8 Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ishbosheth, and said,
Am I a dog’s head, which against Judah do shew kindness this day unto
the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not
delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to day with a
fault concerning this woman?
10-3:9 So do God to Abner, and more also, except, as the LORD hath sworn to
David, even so I do to him;
10-3:11 And he could not answer Abner a word again, because he feared him.
10-3:12 And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying,
Whose is the land? saying also, Make thy league with me, and,
behold, my hand shall be with thee, to bring about all Israel unto thee.
10-3:16 And her husband went with her along weeping behind her
to Bahurim. Then said Abner unto
him, Go, return. And he returned.
10-3:17 And Abner had communication with the elders of Israel,
saying, Ye sought for David in times past to be king over you:
10-3:19 And Abner also spake in the ears of Benjamin: and Abner went also to speak in the
ears of David in Hebron all that seemed good to Israel, and that seemed good to
the whole house of Benjamin.
10-3:20 So Abner came
to David to Hebron, and twenty men with him. And David made Abner and the men that were with
him a feast.
10-3:21 And Abner said unto David, I will arise and go, and will
gather all Israel unto my lord the king, that they may make a league with thee,
and that thou mayest reign over all that thine heart desireth. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.
10-3:22 And, behold, the servants of David and Joab came from pursuing
a troop, and brought in a great spoil with them: but Abner was not with David in
Hebron; for he had sent him away, and he was gone in peace.
10-3:23 When Joab and all the host that was with him
were come, they told Joab, saying, Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he hath sent
him away, and he is gone in peace.
10-3:24 Then Joab came to the king, and said, What hast thou
done? behold, Abner came
unto thee; why is it that thou hast sent him away, and he is
quite gone?
10-3:25 Thou knowest Abner the son of Ner, that he came to deceive thee, and
to know thy going out and thy coming in, and to know all that thou doest.
10-3:26 And when Joab was come out from David, he sent
messengers after Abner, which
brought him again from the well of Sirah: but David knew it not.
10-3:27 And when Abner was returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside in the
gate to speak with him quietly, and smote him there under the fifth rib, that
he died, for the blood of Asahel his brother.
10-3:28 And afterward when David heard it, he said, I
and my kingdom are guiltless before the LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner:
10-3:30 So Joab and Abishai his brother slew Abner, because he had slain their
brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle.
10-3:31 And David said to Joab, and to all the people that were
with him, Rend your clothes, and gird you with sackcloth, and mourn before Abner. And king David himself followed
the bier.
10-3:32 And they buried Abner in Hebron: and the king lifted up his
voice, and wept at the grave of Abner; and all the people wept.
10-3:33 And the king lamented over Abner, and said, Died Abner as a fool dieth?
10-3:37 For all the people and all Israel understood that day
that it was not of the king to slay Abner the son of Ner.
10-4:1 And when Saul’s son heard that Abner was dead in Hebron, his hands were feeble, and
all the Israelites were troubled.
10-4:12 And David commanded his young men, and they slew them,
and cut off their hands and their feet, and hanged them up over the pool
in Hebron. But they took the head of Ishbosheth, and buried it in the
sepulchre of Abner in
Hebron.
11-2:5 Moreover thou knowest also what Joab the son of
Zeruiah did to me, and what he did to the two captains of the hosts of
Israel, unto Abner the
son of Ner, and unto Amasa the son of Jether, whom he slew, and shed the blood
of war in peace, and put the blood of war upon his girdle that was about
his loins, and in his shoes that were on his feet.
11-2:32 And the LORD shall return his blood upon his own head,
who fell upon two men more righteous and better than he, and slew them with the
sword, my father David not knowing thereof, to wit, Abner the son of Ner, captain of
the host of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, captain of the host of Judah.
13-26:28 And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of
Kish, and Abner the
son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated; and whosoever
had dedicated any thing, it was under the hand of Shelomith, and of his
brethren.
13-27:21 Of the half tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo
the son of Zechariah: of Benjamin, Jaasiel the son of Abner:

of Abner’s men, so that three

aboard, and set forth.

01-GENESIS
01-29:14 And Laban said to him, Surely thou art my bone
and my flesh. And he abode with him the space of
a month.
01-49:24 But his bow abode in
strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty
God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
02-24:16 And the glory of the LORD abode
upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day
he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
02-40:35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the
congregation, because the cloud abode thereon,
and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
04-9:17 And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle,
then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where
the cloud abode, there the children of Israel
pitched their tents.
04-9:18 At the commandment of the LORD the children of Israel
journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched: as long as
the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested
in their tents.
04-9:20 And so it was, when the cloud was a few days
upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment
of the LORD they journeyed.
04-9:21 And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the
cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it
was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.
04-9:22 Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a

people.

Jordan: and why did Dan remain in ships? Asher continued on the sea shore,
and abode in his breaches.
07-11:17 Then Israel sent messengers unto the king of Edom,

and David abode in the wood, and Jonathan went
to his house.

they told David: wherefore he came down into a rock, and abode in the wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that,
he pursued after David in the wilderness of Maon.
09-25:13 And David said unto his men, Gird ye on every man his
sword. And they girded on every man his sword; and David also girded on his
sword: and there went up after David about four hundred men; and two
hundred abode by the stuff.
09-26:3 And Saul pitched in the hill of Hachilah, which is before
Jeshimon, by the way. But David abode in the
wilderness, and he saw that Saul came after him into the wilderness.

two hundred abode behind, which were so faint

10-1:1 Now it came to pass after the death of Saul, when
David was returned from the slaughter of the Amalekites, and David had abode two days in Ziklag;
10-11:12 And David said to Uriah, Tarry here to day also, and
to morrow I will let thee depart. So Uriah abode
in Jerusalem that day, and the morrow.
