01-GENESIS
01-10:18 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite:
and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.
01-11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a
tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest
we be scattered abroad upon the face of the
whole earth.
01-11:8 So the LORD scattered them abroad
from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build
the city.
01-11:9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the
LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence
did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face
of all the earth.
01-15:5 And he brought him forth abroad,
and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number
them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
01-19:17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not
behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest
thou be consumed.
01-28:14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and
thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the
east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed
shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
02-5:12 So the people were scattered abroad
throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.
02-9:29 And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of
the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the
LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail;
that thou mayest know how that the earth is the Lord’s.
02-9:33 And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and
spread abroad his hands unto the LORD:
and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
02-12:46 In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry
forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the
house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.
02-21:19 If he rise again, and walk abroad
upon his staff, then shall he that smote him be quit: only he
shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be
thoroughly healed.
02-40:19 And he spread abroad
the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it;
as the LORD commanded Moses.
03-13:7 But if the scab spread much abroad
in the skin, after that he hath been seen of the priest for his cleansing, he
shall be seen of the priest again:
03-13:12 And if a leprosy break out abroad
in the skin, and the leprosy cover all the skin of him that hath the
plague from his head even to his foot, wheresoever the priest looketh;
03-13:22 And if it spread much abroad
in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a
plague.
03-13:27 And the priest shall look upon him the seventh day:
and if it be spread much abroad in the
skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is the
plague of leprosy.
03-14:8 And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes,
and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean:
and after that he shall come into the camp, and shall tarry abroad out of his tent seven days.
03-18:9 The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy
father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
04-11:32 And the people stood up all that day, and all that night,
and all the next day, and they gathered the quails: he that gathered
least gathered ten homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp.
05-23:10 If there be among you any man, that is not clean by
reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the
camp:
05-23:12 Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither
thou shalt go forth abroad:
05-23:13 And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it
shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad,
thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from
thee:
05-24:11 Thou shalt stand abroad,
and the man to whom thou dost lend shall bring out the pledge abroad unto thee.
05-32:11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her
young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them,
beareth them on her wings:
07-12:9 And he had thirty sons, and thirty daughters, whom he
sent abroad, and took in thirty daughters from abroad for his sons. And he judged Israel seven years.
09-9:26 And they arose early: and it came to pass about
the spring of the day, that Samuel called Saul to the top of the house, saying,
Up, that I may send thee away. And Saul arose, and they went out both of them,
he and Samuel, abroad.
09-30:16 And when he had brought him down, behold, they were
spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and
drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out
of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah.
10-22:43 Then did I beat them as small as the dust of the
earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, and did spread them abroad.
11-2:42 And the king sent and called for Shimei, and said unto
him, Did I not make thee to swear by the LORD, and protested unto thee, saying,
Know for a certain, on the day thou goest out, and walkest abroad any whither, that thou shalt surely die? and
thou saidst unto me, The word that I have heard is good.
12-4:3 Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty
vessels; borrow not a few.
13-13:2 And David said unto all the congregation of Israel, If
it seem good unto you, and that it be of the LORD our God, let us
send abroad unto our brethren every where, that
are left in all the land of Israel, and with them also to the
priests and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs, that
they may gather themselves unto us:
13-14:13 And the Philistines yet again spread themselves abroad in the valley.
14-26:8 And the Ammonites gave gifts to Uzziah: and his
name spread abroad even to the entering
in of Egypt; for he strengthened himself exceedingly.
14-26:15 And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning
men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones
withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he
was marvellously helped, till he was strong.
14-29:16 And the priests went into the inner part of the house
of the LORD, to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that
they found in the temple of the LORD into the court of the house of the LORD.
And the Levites took it, to carry it out abroad
into the brook Kidron.
14-31:5 And as soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel brought in abundance
the firstfruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of
the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.
16-1:8 Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou
commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter
you abroad among the nations:
17-1:17 For this deed of the queen shall come abroad unto all women, so that they shall despise
their husbands in their eyes, when it shall be reported, The king Ahasuerus
commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came not.
17-3:8 And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain
people scattered abroad and dispersed among the
people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse
from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws: therefore it is not
for the king’s profit to suffer them.
18-4:11 The old lion perisheth for lack of prey, and the stout
lion’s whelps are scattered abroad.
18-15:23 He wandereth abroad for
bread, saying, Where is it? he knoweth that the day of darkness
is ready at his hand.
18-40:11 Cast abroad the rage of
thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him.
19-41:6 And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity:
his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
19-77:17 The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out
a sound: thine arrows also went abroad.
20-5:16 Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets.
23-24:1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it
waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad
the inhabitants thereof.
23-28:25 When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not
cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin,
and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their
place?
23-44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed
thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that
stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad
the earth by myself;
24-6:11 Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am
weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together:
for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is
full of days.
25-1:20 Behold, O LORD; for I am in distress: my
bowels are troubled; mine heart is turned within me; for I have grievously
rebelled: abroad the sword bereaveth, at
home there is as death.
26-34:21 Because ye have thrust with side and with shoulder,
and pushed all the diseased with your horns, till ye have scattered them abroad;
38-1:17 Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My
cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad;
and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.
38-2:6 Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of
the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.
40-9:26 And the fame hereof went abroad
into all that land.
40-9:31 But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.
40-9:36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with
compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
40-12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that
gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
40-26:31 Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended
because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd,
and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
41-1:28 And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee.
41-1:45 But he went out, and began to publish it much,
and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that
Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert
places: and they came to him from every quarter.
41-4:22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested;
neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
41-6:14 And king Herod heard of him; (for his name was
spread abroad:) and he said, That John
the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth
themselves in him.
42-1:65 And fear came on all that dwelt round about them:
and all these sayings were noised abroad
throughout all the hill country of Judaea.
42-2:17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this
child.
42-5:15 But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came
together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
42-8:17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made
manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
43-11:52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should
gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.
43-21:23 Then went this saying abroad
among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said
not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is
that to thee?
44-2:6 Now when this was noised abroad,
the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard
them speak in his own language.
44-8:1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that
time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem;
and they were all scattered abroad throughout
the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.
44-8:4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.
44-11:19 Now they which were scattered abroad
upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and
Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.
45-5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God
is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost
which is given unto us.
45-16:19 For your obedience is come abroad
unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would
have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.
47-9:9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his
righteousness remaineth for ever.
52-1:8 For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only
in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward
is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak
any thing.
59-1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,
to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad,
greeting.

10-3:3 And his second, Chileab, of Abigail the wife of Nabal
the Carmelite; and the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king
of Geshur;
10-13:1 And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair
sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.
10-13:20 And Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy
brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy
brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s
house.
10-13:22 And Absalom spake unto his brother Amnon neither good nor
bad: for Absalom
hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.
10-13:23 And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in
Baalhazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king’s sons.
10-13:24 And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy
servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants go
with thy servant.
10-13:25 And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be
chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but
blessed him.
10-13:26 Then said Absalom, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go
with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with thee?
10-13:27 But Absalom pressed him, that he let Amnon and all the
king’s sons go with him.
10-13:28 Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now
when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Smite Amnon;
then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be
valiant.
10-13:29 And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king’s sons arose,
and every man gat him up upon his mule, and fled.
10-13:30 And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that
tidings came to David, saying, Absalom hath slain all the king’s sons, and there is
not one of them left.
10-13:32 And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother,
answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the
young men the king’s sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the
appointment of Absalom this
hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.
10-13:34 But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch
lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way
of the hill side behind him.
10-13:37 But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud,
king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.
10-13:38 So Absalom
fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years.
10-13:39 And the soul of king David longed to go forth
unto Absalom:
for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
10-14:1 Now Joab the son of Zeruiah perceived that the king’s
heart was toward Absalom.
10-14:21 And the king said unto Joab, Behold now, I have done
this thing: go therefore, bring the young man Absalom again.
10-14:23 So Joab arose and went to Geshur, and brought Absalom to Jerusalem.
10-14:24 And the king said, Let him turn to his own house, and
let him not see my face. So Absalom
returned to his own house, and saw not the king’s face.
10-14:25 But in all Israel there was none to be so much praised
as Absalom for his beauty: from
the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.
10-14:27 And unto Absalom there were born three sons, and one daughter,
whose name was Tamar: she was a woman of a fair countenance.
10-14:28 So Absalom
dwelt two full years in Jerusalem, and saw not the king’s face.
10-14:29 Therefore Absalom sent for Joab, to have sent him to the king;
but he would not come to him: and when he sent again the second time, he
would not come.
10-14:31 Then Joab arose, and came to Absalom unto his house, and said unto him,
Wherefore have thy servants set my field on fire?
10-14:32 And Absalom answered Joab, Behold, I sent unto thee,
saying, Come hither, that I may send thee to the king, to say, Wherefore am I
come from Geshur? it had been good for me to have been there
still: now therefore let me see the king’s face; and if there be any iniquity
in me, let him kill me.
10-14:33 So Joab came to the king, and told him: and
when he had called for Absalom, he came
to the king, and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king:
and the king kissed Absalom.
10-15:1 And it came to pass after this, that Absalom prepared him chariots and
horses, and fifty men to run before him.
10-15:2 And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the
gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy
came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city art thou?
And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.
10-15:3 And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters are good
and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee.
10-15:4 Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land,
that every man which hath any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do
him justice!
10-15:6 And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for
judgment: so Absalom
stole the hearts of the men of Israel.
10-15:7 And it came to pass after forty years, that Absalom said unto the king, I pray
thee, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed unto the LORD, in Hebron.
10-15:10 But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel,
saying, As soon as ye hear the sound of the trumpet, then ye shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron.
10-15:11 And with Absalom went two hundred men out of Jerusalem, that
were called; and they went in their simplicity, and they knew not any
thing.
10-15:12 And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s
counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices.
And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.
10-15:13 And there came a messenger to David, saying, The
hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom.
10-15:14 And David said unto all his servants that were with
him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape
from Absalom:
make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and
smite the city with the edge of the sword.
10-15:31 And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among
the conspirators with Absalom. And
David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into
foolishness.
10-15:34 But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O
king; as I have been thy father’s servant hitherto, so will I
now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the
counsel of Ahithophel.
10-15:37 So Hushai David’s friend came into the city, and Absalom came into Jerusalem.
10-16:8 The LORD hath returned upon thee all the blood of the
house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the LORD hath delivered the
kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy
son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art
a bloody man.
10-16:15 And Absalom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to
Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him.
10-16:16 And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David’s
friend, was come unto Absalom,
that Hushai said unto Absalom, God
save the king, God save the king.
10-16:17 And Absalom said to Hushai, Is this thy kindness to
thy friend? why wentest thou not with thy friend?
10-16:18 And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom the LORD, and this people, and
all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide.
10-16:20 Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we
shall do.
10-16:21 And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father’s concubines, which he
hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred
of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be
strong.
10-16:22 So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father’s
concubines in the sight of all Israel.
10-16:23 And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in
those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so
was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.
10-17:1 Moreover Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Let me now choose out twelve thousand men, and
I will arise and pursue after David this night:
10-17:4 And the saying pleased Absalom well, and all the elders of Israel.
10-17:5 Then said Absalom, Call now Hushai the Archite also, and let us
hear likewise what he saith.
10-17:6 And when Hushai was come to Absalom, Absalom spake unto him, saying, Ahithophel hath spoken
after this manner: shall we do after his saying? if not; speak
thou.
10-17:7 And Hushai said unto Absalom, The counsel that Ahithophel hath given is not
good at this time.
10-17:9 Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other
place: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown at
the first, that whosoever heareth it will say, There is a slaughter among the
people that follow Absalom.
10-17:14 And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of
Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the
LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that
the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.
10-17:15 Then said Hushai unto Zadok and to Abiathar the
priests, Thus and thus did Ahithophel counsel Absalom and the elders of Israel; and thus and thus
have I counselled.
10-17:18 Nevertheless a lad saw them, and told Absalom: but they went both
of them away quickly, and came to a man’s house in Bahurim, which had a well in
his court; whither they went down.
10-17:24 Then David came to Mahanaim. And Absalom passed over Jordan, he and all
the men of Israel with him.
10-17:25 And Absalom made Amasa captain of the host instead of Joab:
which Amasa was a man’s son, whose name was Ithra an Israelite,
that went in to Abigail the daughter of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah Joab’s
mother.
10-17:26 So Israel and Absalom pitched in the land of Gilead.
10-18:5 And the king commanded Joab and Abishai and Ittai,
saying, Deal gently for my sake with the young man, even with Absalom. And all the people heard
when the king gave all the captains charge concerning Absalom.
10-18:9 And Absalom met the servants of David. And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule
went under the thick boughs of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the
oak, and he was taken up between the heaven and the earth; and the mule that was
under him went away.
10-18:10 And a certain man saw it, and told Joab, and
said, Behold, I saw Absalom
hanged in an oak.
10-18:12 And the man said unto Joab, Though I should receive a
thousand shekels of silver in mine hand, yet would I not put
forth mine hand against the king’s son: for in our hearing the king
charged thee and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Beware that none touch the
young man Absalom.
10-18:14 Then said Joab, I may not tarry thus with thee. And he
took three darts in his hand, and thrust them through the heart of Absalom, while he was yet
alive in the midst of the oak.
10-18:15 And ten young men that bare Joab’s armour compassed
about and smote Absalom, and
slew him.
10-18:17 And they took Absalom, and cast him into a great pit in the wood, and
laid a very great heap of stones upon him: and all Israel fled every one
to his tent.
10-18:18 Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for
himself a pillar, which is in the king’s dale: for he said, I
have no son to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the pillar
after his own name: and it is called unto this day, Absalom’s
place.
10-18:29 And the king said, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Ahimaaz answered,
When Joab sent the king’s servant, and me thy servant, I saw a great
tumult, but I knew not what it was.
10-18:32 And the king said unto Cushi, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Cushi answered,
The enemies of my lord the king, and all that rise against thee to do thee hurt,
be as that young man is.
10-18:33 And the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber
over the gate, and wept: and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! would God I had died for
thee, O Absalom, my
son, my son!
10-19:1 And it was told Joab, Behold, the king weepeth and
mourneth for Absalom.
10-19:4 But the king covered his face, and the king cried with
a loud voice, O my son Absalom, O Absalom, my son, my son!
10-19:6 In that thou lovest thine enemies, and hatest thy
friends. For thou hast declared this day, that thou regardest neither princes
nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if Absalom had lived, and all we had died this day, then
it had pleased thee well.
10-19:9 And all the people were at strife throughout all the
tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and
he delivered us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of
the land for Absalom.
10-19:10 And Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now
therefore why speak ye not a word of bringing the king back?
10-20:6 And David said to Abishai, Now shall Sheba the son of
Bichri do us more harm than did Absalom: take thou thy lord’s servants, and
pursue after him, lest he get him fenced cities, and escape us.
11-1:6 And his father had not displeased him at any time in
saying, Why hast thou done so? and he also was a very goodly man; and
his mother bare him after Absalom.
11-2:7 But shew kindness unto the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite,
and let them be of those that eat at thy table: for so they came to me
when I fled because of Absalom thy
brother.
11-2:28 Then tidings came to Joab: for Joab had turned
after Adonijah, though he turned not after Absalom. And Joab fled unto the tabernacle of the LORD,
and caught hold on the horns of the altar.
13-3:2 The third, Absalom the son of Maachah the daughter of Talmai king
of Geshur: the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith:
14-11:20 And after her he took Maachah the daughter of Absalom; which bare him Abijah, and
Attai, and Ziza, and Shelomith.
14-11:21 And Rehoboam loved Maachah the daughter of Absalom above all his wives and his
concubines: (for he took eighteen wives, and threescore concubines; and
begat twenty and eight sons, and threescore daughters.)
19-3:title A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.

10-13:4 And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the
king’s son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto
him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.
10-13:20 And Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon
thy brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy
brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.
10-14:30 Therefore he said unto his servants, See, Joab’s field
is near mine, and he hath barley there; go and set it on fire. And Absalom’s servants set the field on
fire.
10-17:20 And when Absalom’s servants came to the woman to the house, they
said, Where is Ahimaaz and Jonathan? And the woman said unto them, They
be gone over the brook of water. And when they had sought and could not find them,
they returned to Jerusalem.
10-18:18 Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and
reared up for himself a pillar, which is in the king’s dale: for he
said, I have no son to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the
pillar after his own name: and it is called unto this day, Absalom’s place.

42-LUKE
42-22:6 And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him
unto them in the absence of the multitude.
50-PHILIPPIANS

as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence,
work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

01-GENESIS
01-31:49 And Mizpah; for he said, The LORD watch between me and
thee, when we are absent one from another.
46-5:3 For I verily, as absent
in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning
him that hath so done this deed,
47-5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that,
whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent
from the Lord:
47-5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to
be absent from the body, and to be present with
the Lord.
47-5:9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
47-10:1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and
gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
47-10:11 Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in
word by letters when we are absent, such will
we be also in deed when we are present.
47-13:2 I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were
present, the second time; and being absent now I
write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come
again, I will not spare:
47-13:10 Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness,
according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to
destruction.
50-1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the
gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast
in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
51-2:5 For though I be absent
in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order,
and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

44-ACTS
44-15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication,
and from things strangled, and from blood.
44-15:29 That ye abstain from
meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from
fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye
well.
52-1 THESSALONIANS
52-4:3 For this is the will of God, even your
sanctification, that ye should abstain from
fornication:
52-5:22 Abstain
from all appearance of evil.
54-1 TIMOTHY
54-4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be
received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
60-1 PETER
60-2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and
pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war
against the soul;

44-ACTS
44-27:21 But after long abstinence
Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened
unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.

05-28:47 Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with
joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance
of all things;
05-33:19 They shall call the people unto the mountain; there
they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the
abundance of the seas, and of treasures
hid in the sand.
09-1:16 Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial:
for out of the abundance of my complaint and
grief have I spoken hitherto.
10-12:30 And he took their king’s crown from off his head, the
weight whereof was a talent of gold with the precious stones: and
it was set on David’s head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city
in great abundance.
11-1:19 And he hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the sons of the king,
and Abiathar the priest, and Joab the captain of the host: but Solomon
thy servant hath he not called.
11-1:25 For he is gone down this day, and hath slain oxen and
fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath
called all the king’s sons, and the captains of the host, and Abiathar the
priest; and, behold, they eat and drink before him, and say, God save king
Adonijah.

gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones: there came no
more such abundance of spices as these which the

13-22:14 Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the
house of the LORD an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand
talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I
prepared; and thou mayest add thereto.
13-22:15 Moreover there are workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and
all manner of cunning men for every manner of work.
13-29:2 Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of
my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things
of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things
of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to
be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious
stones, and marble stones in abundance.
13-29:21 And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and
offered burnt offerings unto the LORD, on the morrow after that day, even a
thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their

all Israel:
14-1:15 And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as

days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.

that there was much money, the king’s scribe and the high priest’s
officer came and emptied the chest, and took it, and carried it to his place
again. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance.
14-29:35 And also the burnt offerings were in abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings, and
the drink offerings for every burnt offering. So the service of the house
of the LORD was set in order.

children of Israel brought in abundance the
firstfruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the
field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.

shields in abundance.
14-32:29 Moreover he provided him cities, and possessions of
flocks and herds in abundance: for God
had given him substance very much.

eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in thy great
goodness.

land.

they have gotten, and that which they have laid up, shall they carry away to
the brook of the willows.

in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon
thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the
great abundance of thine enchantments.
