01-GENESIS
01-15:15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in
peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
01-18:11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the
manner of women.
01-21:2 For Sarah conceived, and bare
Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of
which God had spoken to him.
01-21:7 And she said, Who would have said
unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.
01-24:1 And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and
the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.
01-25:8 Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and
died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his
people.
01-37:3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than
all his children, because he was the
son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many
colours.
01-44:20 And we said unto my lord, We have a
father, an old man, and a child of his old age,
a little one; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother, and
his father loveth him.
01-47:28 And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt
seventeen years: so the whole age of Jacob was an hundred forty and seven years.
01-48:10 Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he
could not see. And he brought them near unto him; and he kissed them, and
embraced them.
04-8:25 And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof, and shall serve no more:
06-23:1 And it came to pass a long time
after that the LORD had given rest unto Israel from all their enemies round
about, that Joshua waxed old and stricken
in age.
06-23:2 And Joshua called for all Israel, and for their elders, and for their
heads, and for their judges, and for their officers, and said unto them, I am
old and stricken in age:
07-8:32 And Gideon the son of Joash died in
a good old age, and was buried in the sepulchre
of Joash his father, in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
08-4:15 And he shall be unto thee a restorer
of thy life, and a nourisher of thine
old age:
for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven
sons, hath borne him.
09-2:33 And the man of thine, whom I shall not cut off from mine
altar, shall be to consume thine
eyes, and to grieve thine heart: and
all the increase of thine house shall die in the flower of their age.
11-14:4 And Jeroboam’s wife did so, and
arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. But Ahijah could
not see; for his eyes were set by reason of his age.
11-15:23 The rest of all the acts of Asa, and
all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the
chronicles of the kings of Judah? Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.
13-23:3 Now the Levites were numbered from
the age of thirty years and upward: and their number by their polls, man
by man, was thirty and eight thousand.
13-23:24 These were the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers; even the chief of the fathers, as they
were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the work for the
service of the house of the LORD, from the age
of twenty years and upward.
13-29:28 And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour: and Solomon his son reigned in his
stead.
14-36:17 Therefore he brought upon them the
king of the Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of
their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or
him that stooped for age: he gave them all into
his hand.
18-5:26 Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season.
18-8:8 For enquire, I pray thee, of the
former age, and prepare thyself to the search of
their fathers:
18-11:17 And thine age shall be clearer than the
noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.
18-30:2 Yea, whereto might the strength of their hands profit me, in whom old age was
perished?
19-39:5 Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as
nothing before thee: verily every
man at his best state is altogether
vanity. Selah.
19-71:9 Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.
19-92:14 They shall still bring forth fruit in
old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
23-38:12 Mine age
is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd’s tent: I have cut off like a weaver my life: he will cut me off with pining sickness: from day even to night
wilt thou make an end of me.
23-46:4 And even to your old age I am he;
and even to hoar hairs will I carry you:
I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
38-8:4 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There
shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every
man with his staff in his hand for very age.
41-5:42 And straightway the damsel arose,
and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with
a great astonishment.
42-1:36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth,
she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her,
who was called barren.
42-2:36 And there was one Anna, a
prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had
lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;
42-3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about
thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the
son of Joseph, which was the son of
Heli,
42-8:42 For he had one only daughter, about twelve
years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he
went the people thronged him.
43-9:21 But by what
means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age;
ask him: he shall speak for himself.
43-9:23 Therefore
said his parents, He is of age; ask him.
46-7:36 But if any man think that he
behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age,
and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.
58-5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them
that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to
discern both good and evil.
58-11:11 Through faith also Sara herself
received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was
past age, because she judged him faithful who
had promised.

10-2 SAMUEL
10-19:32 Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore
years old: and he had provided the
king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.
18-12:20 He removeth away the speech of the
trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged.
18-15:10 With us are both the grayheaded and very aged
men, much elder than thy father.
18-29:8 The young men saw me, and hid
themselves: and the aged arose, and stood
up.
18-32:9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand
judgment.
24-6:11 Therefore I am full of the fury of
the LORD; I am weary with holding in:
I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men
together: for even the husband with
the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days.
56-2:2 That the aged
men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
56-2:3 The aged
women likewise, that they be in
behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine,
teachers of good things;
57-1:9 Yet for love’s sake I rather
beseech thee, being such an one as
Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus
Christ.

09-1 SAMUEL
09-9:20 And as for thine asses that were
lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them;
for they are found. And on whom is all
the desire of Israel? Is it not on
thee, and on all thy father’s house?
09-30:13 And David said unto him, To whom belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an
Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days ago
I fell sick.
12-19:25 Hast thou
not heard long ago how I have done it, and of
ancient times that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou
shouldest be to lay waste fenced cities into
ruinous heaps.
15-5:11 And thus they returned us answer, saying,
We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and build the house that
was builded these many years ago, which a great
king of Israel builded and set up.
23-22:11 Ye made also a ditch between the two
walls for the water of the old pool:
but ye have not looked unto the maker thereof, neither had respect unto him
that fashioned it long ago.
23-37:26 Hast thou not heard long ago, how I
have done it; and of ancient times,
that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to

40-11:21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto
thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done
in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago
in sackcloth and ashes.
41-9:21 And he asked his father, How long is
it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of
a child.
42-10:13 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto
thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which
have been done in you, they had a great while ago
repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
44-10:30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour
I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
44-15:7 And when there had been much
disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should
hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
47-8:10 And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to
do, but also to be forward a year ago.
47-9:2 For I know the forwardness of your
mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a
year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.
47-12:2 I knew a man in Christ above
fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I
cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

40-18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of

40-20:13 But he answered one of them, and
said, Friend, I do thee no wrong:
didst not thou agree with me for a penny?
41-14:59 But neither so did their witness agree together.
44-15:15 And to this agree

62-5:8 And there are three that bear
witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

43-9:22 These words spake his parents, because they

44-5:9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it

44-23:20 And he said, The Jews have agreed to desire thee that thou wouldest bring down

whereof I am accused of the Jews:
44-26:7 Unto

44-26:19 Whereupon,

44-26:28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou

11-16:28 So Omri
slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria: and Ahab his son
reigned in his stead.
11-16:29 And in the
thirty and eighth year of Asa king of Judah began Ahab
the son of Omri to reign over Israel:
and Ahab the son
of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty and two years.
11-16:30 And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the
sight of the LORD above all that were before
him.
11-16:33 And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to
anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.
11-17:1 And
Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the
inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the
LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain
these years, but according to my word.
11-18:1 And it
came to pass after many days, that the
word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself
unto Ahab; and I
will send rain upon the earth.
11-18:2 And
Elijah went to shew himself unto Ahab. And there
was a sore famine in Samaria.
11-18:3 And Ahab called Obadiah, which was the governor of his house. (Now Obadiah feared the LORD greatly:
11-18:5 And Ahab said unto Obadiah, Go into the
land, unto all fountains of water, and unto all brooks: peradventure we may find grass to save the horses and mules
alive, that we lose not all the beasts.
11-18:6 So they
divided the land between them to pass throughout it: Ahab went
one way by himself, and Obadiah went another way by himself.
11-18:9 And he
said, What have I sinned, that thou wouldest deliver thy servant into the hand
of Ahab, to slay me?
11-18:12 And it
shall come to pass, as soon as I am
gone from thee, that the spirit of the LORD shall carry thee whither I know
not; and so when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he
shall slay me: but I thy servant
fear the LORD from my youth.
11-18:16 So Obadiah
went to meet Ahab, and
told him: and Ahab went to meet Elijah.
11-18:17 And it
came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel?
11-18:20 So Ahab sent unto all the children of
Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto mount Carmel.
11-18:41 And Elijah
said unto Ahab, Get
thee up, eat and drink; for there is a
sound of abundance of rain.
11-18:42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink.
And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the
earth, and put his face between his knees,
11-18:44 And it
came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little
cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.
11-18:45 And it
came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind,
and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.
11-18:46 And the
hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.
11-19:1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah
had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.
11-20:2 And he
sent messengers to Ahab king of
Israel into the city, and said unto him, Thus saith Benhadad,
11-20:13 And,
behold, there came a prophet unto Ahab king of Israel, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast
thou seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into thine hand
this day; and thou shalt know that I am the
LORD.
11-20:14 And Ahab said, By whom? And he said,
Thus saith the LORD, Even by the
young men of the princes of the provinces. Then he said, Who shall order the
battle? And he answered, Thou.
11-20:34 And Benhadad said unto him, The cities,
which my father took from thy father, I will restore; and thou shalt make
streets for thee in Damascus, as my father made in Samaria. Then said Ahab, I will send thee away with
this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and sent him away.
11-21:1 And it
came to pass after these things, that Naboth
the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in
Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.
11-21:2 And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying,
Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better
vineyard than it; or, if it seem good
to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.
11-21:3 And
Naboth said to Ahab, The
LORD forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee.
11-21:4 And Ahab came into his house heavy and
displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee
the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned
away his face, and would eat no bread.
11-21:15 And it
came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that
Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise,
take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to
give thee for money: for Naboth is
not alive, but dead.
11-21:16 And it
came to pass, when Ahab heard
that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up
to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.
11-21:18 Arise, go
down to meet Ahab king of
Israel, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to possess
it.
11-21:20 And Ahab said to Elijah, hast thou
found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee; because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of
the LORD.
11-21:21 Behold, I will
bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the
wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel,
11-21:24 Him that
dieth of Ahab in the
city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the
air eat.
11-21:25 But there
was none like unto Ahab, which
did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his
wife stirred up.
11-21:27 And it
came to pass, when Ahab heard
those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and
fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly.
11-21:29 Seest thou
how Ahab
humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not
bring the evil in his days: but in his son’s days will I bring the
evil upon his house.
11-22:20 And the
LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And
one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.
11-22:39 Now the
rest of the acts of Ahab, and
all that he did, and the ivory house which he made, and all the cities that he
built, are they not written in the
book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
11-22:40 So Ahab slept with his fathers; and
Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.
11-22:41 And Jehoshaphat
the son of Asa began to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel.
11-22:49 Then said
Ahaziah the son of Ahab unto
Jehoshaphat, Let my servants go with thy servants in the ships. But Jehoshaphat
would not.
11-22:51 Ahaziah
the son of Ahab began
to reign over Israel in Samaria the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of
Judah, and reigned two years over Israel.
12-1:1 Then
Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab.
12-3:1 Now
Jehoram the son of Ahab began to
reign over Israel in Samaria the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah,
and reigned twelve years.
12-3:5 But it
came to pass, when Ahab was dead,
that the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.
12-8:16 And in
the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being then king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of
Judah began to reign.
12-8:18 And he
walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife:
and he did evil in the sight of the LORD.
12-8:25 In the
twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel did Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king
of Judah begin to reign.
12-8:27 And he
walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the LORD, as did the house of Ahab: for he
was the son in law of the house of Ahab.
12-8:28 And he
went with Joram the son of Ahab to the
war against Hazael king of Syria in Ramothgilead; and the Syrians wounded
Joram.
12-8:29 And king
Joram went back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had
given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah
the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was
sick.
12-9:7 And thou
shalt smite the house of Ahab thy
master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood
of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.
12-9:8 For the
whole house of Ahab shall
perish: and I will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the
wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel:
12-9:9 And I
will make the house of Ahab like
the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of
Ahijah:
12-9:25 Then said
Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field
of Naboth the Jezreelite: for
remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden upon him;
12-9:29 And in
the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab began Ahaziah to reign over Judah.
12-10:1 And Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And
Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, unto the rulers of Jezreel, to the
elders, and to them that brought up Ahab’s children, saying,
12-10:10 Know now that
there shall fall unto the earth nothing of the word of the LORD, which the LORD
spake concerning the house of Ahab: for
the LORD hath done that which he
spake by his servant Elijah.
12-10:11 So Jehu
slew all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his
kinsfolks, and his priests, until he left him none remaining.
12-10:17 And when
he came to Samaria, he slew all that remained unto Ahab in Samaria, till he had destroyed him, according
to the saying of the LORD, which he spake to Elijah.
12-10:18 And Jehu
gathered all the people together, and said unto them, Ahab served Baal a little; but Jehu shall serve him much.
12-10:30 And the
LORD said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that was in mine heart, thy children of the
fourth generation shall sit on the
throne of Israel.
12-21:3 For he
built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he
reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of
heaven, and served them.
12-21:13 And I will
stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a
man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and
turning it upside down.
14-18:1 Now
Jehoshaphat had riches and honour in abundance, and joined affinity with Ahab.
14-18:2 And after
certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him
in abundance, and for the people that he
had with him, and persuaded him to go up with him to Ramothgilead.
14-18:3 And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of
Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramothgilead? And he answered him, I am as thou art, and my people as thy people; and we will be with thee in the war.
14-18:19 And the
LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab king of
Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one spake saying after
this manner, and another saying after that manner.
14-21:6 And he
walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like as did the house of Ahab: for
he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he wrought that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD.
14-21:13 But hast
walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the
inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to the whoredoms of the house of
Ahab, and also hast slain thy
brethren of thy father’s house, which
were better than thyself:
14-22:3 He also
walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for
his mother was his counsellor to do wickedly.
14-22:4 Wherefore
he did evil in the sight of the LORD like the house of Ahab: for
they were his counsellors after the death of his father to his destruction.
14-22:5 He walked
also after their counsel, and went with Jehoram the son of Ahab king of Israel to war against
Hazael king of Syria at Ramothgilead:
and the Syrians smote Joram.
14-22:6 And he
returned to be healed in Jezreel because of the wounds which were given him at
Ramah, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria. And Azariah the son of Jehoram
king of Judah went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab at Jezreel, because he was sick.
14-22:7 And the
destruction of Ahaziah was of God by coming to Joram: for when he was come, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the
son of Nimshi, whom the LORD had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab.
14-22:8 And it
came to pass, that, when Jehu was executing judgment upon the house of Ahab, and found the princes of
Judah, and the sons of the brethren of Ahaziah, that ministered to Ahaziah, he
slew them.
24-29:21 Thus saith
the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah,
which prophesy a lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the
hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your
eyes;
24-29:22 And of
them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon, saying, The LORD make
thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom
the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;
33-6:16 For the
statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and ye walk in their
counsels; that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof an
hissing: therefore ye shall bear the
reproach of my people.

15-4:6 And in
the reign of Ahasuerus,
in the beginning of his reign, wrote they unto
him an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem.
17-1:1 Now it
came to pass in the days of Ahasuerus,
(this is Ahasuerus which reigned, from India even unto Ethiopia,
over an hundred and seven and twenty
provinces:)
17-1:2 That in those days, when the king Ahasuerus sat on the throne of his
kingdom, which was in Shushan the
palace,
17-1:9 Also
Vashti the queen made a feast for the women in
the royal house which belonged to
king Ahasuerus.
17-1:10 On the
seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded
Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven
chamberlains that served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king,
17-1:15 What
shall we do unto the queen Vashti according to law, because she hath not
performed the commandment of the king Ahasuerus by the chamberlains?
17-1:16 And
Memucan answered before the king and the princes, Vashti the queen hath not done
wrong to the king only, but also to all the princes, and to all the people that
are in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus.
17-1:17 For this deed of the queen shall come abroad
unto all women, so that they shall despise their husbands in their eyes, when
it shall be reported, The king Ahasuerus commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in
before him, but she came not.
17-1:19 If it
please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be
written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered,
That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto
another that is better than she.
17-2:1 After
these things, when the wrath of king Ahasuerus was appeased, he remembered Vashti, and what
she had done, and what was decreed against her.
17-2:12 Now when
every maid’s turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months,
according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their
purifications accomplished, to wit, six
months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the
women;)
17-2:16 So Esther
was taken unto king Ahasuerus
into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
17-2:21 In those
days, while Mordecai sat in the king’s gate, two of the king’s chamberlains,
Bigthan and Teresh, of those which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay
hand on the king Ahasuerus.
17-3:1 After
these things did king Ahasuerus
promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his
seat above all the princes that were with
him.
17-3:6 And he
thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had shewed him the
people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman
sought to destroy all the Jews that were throughout
the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai.
17-3:7 In the first
month, that is, the month Nisan, in
the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus,
they cast Pur, that is, the lot,
before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that
is, the month Adar.
17-3:8 And
Haman said unto king Ahasuerus,
There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in
all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws: therefore it is not for the king’s profit to suffer them.
17-3:12 Then were
the king’s scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there
was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the king’s
lieutenants, and to the governors that were
over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province
according to the writing thereof, and to every
people after their language; in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king’s
ring.
17-6:2 And it
was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the
king’s chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the
king Ahasuerus.
17-7:5 Then the
king Ahasuerus
answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst
presume in his heart to do so?
17-8:1 On that
day did the king Ahasuerus
give the house of Haman the Jews’ enemy unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai
came before the king; for Esther had told what he was unto her.
17-8:7 Then the
king Ahasuerus
said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther
the house of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the gallows, because he laid
his hand upon the Jews.
17-8:12 Upon one
day in all the provinces of king Ahasuerus, namely,
upon the thirteenth day of the
twelfth month, which is the month
Adar.
17-9:2 The Jews
gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of
the king Ahasuerus,
to lay hand on such as sought their hurt:
and no man could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people.
17-9:20 And
Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both nigh and far,
17-9:30 And he
sent the letters unto all the Jews, to the hundred twenty and seven provinces
of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, with words of peace and truth,
17-10:1 And the
king Ahasuerus
laid a tribute upon the land, and upon the
isles of the sea.
17-10:3 For
Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the
Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his
people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
27-9:1 In the
first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king
over the realm of the Chaldeans;
