01-GENESIS
01-1:16 And God made two great lights; the
greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he
made the stars also.
01-2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD
God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the
tree of life also in the midst of the garden,
and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
01-3:6 And when the woman saw that the
tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to
be desired to make one wise, she took
of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also
unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
01-3:18 Thorns also
and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the
field;
01-3:21 Unto Adam also
and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
01-3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the
man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
01-4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the
fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
01-4:22 And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer
in brass and iron: and the sister of
Tubalcain was Naamah.
01-4:26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name
of the LORD.
01-6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall
not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
01-6:4 There were giants in the earth in
those days; and also after that, when the sons
of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became
mighty men which were of old, men
of renown.
01-6:11 The earth also
was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
01-7:3 Of fowls also
of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face
of all the earth.
01-8:2 The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were
stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;
01-8:8 Also
he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the
face of the ground;
01-10:21 Unto Shem also,
the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even
to him were children born.
01-12:15 The princes also
of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh’s house.
01-13:5 And Lot also,
which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.
01-13:16 And I will make thy seed as the dust
of the earth: so that if a man can
number the dust of the earth, then shall
thy seed also be numbered.
01-14:7 And they returned, and came to
Enmishpat, which is Kadesh, and smote
all the country of the Amalekites, and also the
Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezontamar.
01-14:16 And he brought back all the goods,
and also brought again his brother Lot, and his
goods, and the women also, and the people.
01-15:14 And also
that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
01-16:13 And she called the name of the LORD
that spake unto her, Thou God seest me:
for she said, Have I also here looked after him
that seeth me?
01-17:16 And I will bless her, and give thee a
son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.
01-18:12 Therefore Sarah laughed within
herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
01-18:23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt
thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
01-18:24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous
within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty
righteous that are therein?
01-19:21 And he said unto him, See, I have
accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I
will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
01-19:34 And it came to pass on the morrow,
that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my
father: let us make him drink wine
this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve
seed of our father.
01-19:35 And they made their father drink wine
that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not
when she lay down, nor when she arose.
01-19:38 And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.
01-20:4 But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation?
01-20:6 And God said unto him in a dream,
Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to
touch her.
01-21:13 And also
of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.
01-22:20 And it came to pass after these
things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she hath also born children unto thy brother Nahor;
01-22:24 And his concubine, whose name was Reumah, she bare also Tebah, and Gaham, and Thahash, and Maachah.
01-24:14 And let it come to pass, that the
damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink;
and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I
know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.
01-24:19 And when she had done giving him
drink, she said, I will draw water for
thy camels also, until they have done drinking.
01-24:44 And she say to me, Both drink thou,
and I will also draw for thy camels: let
the same be the woman whom the
LORD hath appointed out for my master’s son.
01-24:46 And she made haste, and let down her
pitcher from her shoulder, and said,
Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: so I drank, and she made the camels
drink also.
01-24:53 And the servant brought forth jewels
of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah: he gave
also to her brother and to her mother precious
things.
01-26:21 And they digged another well, and
strove for that also: and he called the name of it Sitnah.
01-27:31 And he also
had made savoury meat, and brought it unto his father, and said unto his
father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son’s venison, that thy soul may
bless me.
01-27:34 And when Esau heard the words of his father,
he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless
me, even me also,
O my father.
01-27:38 And Esau said unto his father, Hast
thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even
me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his
voice, and wept.
01-27:45 Until thy brother’s anger turn away
from thee, and he forget that which
thou hast done to him: then I will
send, and fetch thee from thence:
why should I be deprived also of you both in one
day?
01-29:27 Fulfil her week, and we will give
thee this also for the service which thou shalt
serve with me yet seven other years.
01-29:28 And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her
week: and he gave him Rachel his
daughter to wife also.
01-29:30 And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other
years.
01-29:33 And she conceived again, and bare a
son; and said, Because the LORD hath heard that I was hated, he hath therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon.
01-30:3 And she said, Behold my maid Bilhah,
go in unto her; and she shall bear upon my knees, that I may also have children by her.
01-30:6 And Rachel said, God hath judged me,
and hath also heard my voice, and hath given me
a son: therefore called she his name
Dan.
01-30:15 And she said unto her, Is it a small matter that thou hast
taken my husband? and wouldest thou take away my son’s mandrakes also? And Rachel said, Therefore he shall lie with
thee to night for thy son’s mandrakes.
01-30:30 For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased
unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine
own house also?
01-31:15 Are we not counted of him strangers?
for he hath sold us, and hath quite devoured also
our money.
01-32:6 And the messengers returned to
Jacob, saying, We came to thy brother Esau, and also
he cometh to meet thee, and four hundred men with him.
01-32:18 Then thou shalt say, They be thy servant Jacob’s; it is a present sent unto my lord Esau: and, behold, also
he is behind us.
01-33:7 And Leah also
with her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph near and Rachel, and they bowed themselves.
01-35:17 And it came to pass, when she was in
hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son
also.
01-37:7 For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood
round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.
01-38:10 And the thing which he did displeased
the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.
01-38:11 Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter
in law, Remain a widow at thy father’s house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die
also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father’s house.
01-38:22 And he returned to Judah, and said, I
cannot find her; and also the men of the place
said, that there was no harlot in
this place.
01-38:24 And it came to pass about three
months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath
played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah
said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.
01-40:15 For indeed I was stolen away out of
the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into
the dungeon.
01-40:16 When the chief baker saw that the
interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also
was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head:
01-42:22 And Reuben answered them, saying,
Spake I not unto you, saying, Do not sin against the child; and ye would not
hear? therefore, behold, also his blood is
required.
01-43:8 And Judah said unto Israel his father,
Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die,
both we, and thou, and also our little ones.
01-43:13 Take also
your brother, and arise, go again unto the man:
01-44:9 With whomsoever of thy servants it
be found, both let him die, and we also will be
my lord’s bondmen.
01-44:10 And he said, Now also let it be according unto your words: he with whom it is found shall be my
servant; and ye shall be blameless.
01-44:16 And Judah said, What shall we say
unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God hath
found out the iniquity of thy servants:
behold, we are my lord’s servants,
both we, and he also with whom the cup is found.
01-44:29 And if ye take this also from me, and mischief befall him, ye shall bring
down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.
01-45:20 Also
regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours.
01-46:4 I will go down with thee into Egypt;
and I will also surely bring thee up again:
and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.
01-46:34 That ye shall say, Thy servants’
trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also
our fathers: that ye may dwell in
the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is
an abomination unto the Egyptians.
01-47:3 And Pharaoh said unto his brethren,
What is your occupation? And they
said unto Pharaoh, Thy servants are shepherds,
both we, and also
our fathers.
01-47:18 When that year was ended, they came
unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is
spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle;
there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands:
01-48:11 And Israel said unto Joseph, I had
not thought to see thy face: and,
lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed.
01-48:19 And his father refused, and said, I
know it, my son, I know it:
he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed
shall become a multitude of nations.
01-50:18 And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they
said, Behold, we be thy servants.
01-50:23 And Joseph saw Ephraim’s children of
the third generation: the children also of Machir
the son of Manasseh were brought up upon Joseph’s knees.
02-1:10 Come on, let us deal wisely with
them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any
war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight
against us, and so get them up out of
the land.
02-2:19 And they said, An Egyptian delivered
us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also
drew water enough for us, and watered
the flock.
02-3:9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of
the children of Israel is come unto me:
and I have also seen the oppression wherewith
the Egyptians oppress them.
02-4:9 And it shall come to pass, if they
will not believe also these two signs, neither
hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and
pour it upon the dry land:
and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon
the dry land.
02-4:14 And the anger of the LORD was
kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not
Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be
glad in his heart.
02-6:4 And I have also
established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of
their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.
02-6:5 And I have also
heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in
bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.
02-7:11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also
did in like manner with their enchantments.
02-7:23 And Pharaoh turned and went into his
house, neither did he set his heart to this also.
02-8:21 Else, if thou wilt not let my people
go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon
thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall
be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.
02-8:32 And Pharaoh hardened his heart at
this time also, neither would he let the people
go.
02-10:24 And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and
said, Go ye, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.
02-10:25 And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may
sacrifice unto the LORD our God.
02-10:26 Our cattle also
shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we
take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the
LORD, until we come thither.
02-12:32 Also
take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.
02-12:38 And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.
02-15:4 Pharaoh’s chariots and his host hath
he cast into the sea: his chosen
captains also are drowned in the Red sea.
02-18:23 If thou shalt do this thing, and God
command thee so, then thou shalt be
able to endure, and all this people shall also
go to their place in peace.
02-19:22 And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify
themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them.
02-21:6 Then his master shall bring him unto
the judges; he shall also bring him to the door,
or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul;
and he shall serve him for ever.
02-21:29 But if the ox were wont to push with
his horn in time past, and it hath been testified to his owner, and he hath not
kept him in, but that he hath killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned,
and his owner also shall be put to death.
02-21:35 And if one man’s ox hurt another’s,
that he die; then they shall sell the live ox, and divide the money of it; and
the dead ox also
they shall divide.
02-23:9 Also
thou shalt not oppress a stranger:
for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of
Egypt.
02-24:11 And upon the nobles of the children
of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.
02-25:23 Thou shalt also
make a table of shittim wood: two cubits shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a
cubit and a half the height thereof.
02-29:15 Thou shalt also
take one ram; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the
ram.
02-29:22 Also
thou shalt take of the ram the fat and the rump, and the fat that covereth the
inwards, and the caul above the
liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and the right shoulder; for it is a ram of consecration:
02-29:44 And I will sanctify the tabernacle of
the congregation, and the altar: I
will sanctify also both Aaron and his sons, to
minister to me in the priest’s office.
02-30:18 Thou shalt also
make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass,
to wash withal: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the
congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein.
02-30:23 Take thou also
unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty shekels,
and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels,
02-31:13 Speak thou also
unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
02-33:12 And Moses said unto the LORD, See,
thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people:
and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said,
I know thee by name, and thou hast also found
grace in my sight.
02-33:17 And the LORD said unto Moses, I will
do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my
sight, and I know thee by name.
02-35:14 The candlestick also for the light, and his furniture, and his lamps,
with the oil for the light,
02-37:12 Also
he made thereunto a border of an handbreadth round about; and made a crown of
gold for the border thereof round about.
02-37:26 And he overlaid it with pure gold, both the top of it, and the sides
thereof round about, and the horns of it:
also he made unto it a crown of gold round
about.
03-5:2 Or if a soul touch any unclean
thing, whether it be a carcase of an
unclean beast, or a carcase of unclean cattle, or the carcase of unclean
creeping things, and if it be hidden
from him; he also shall be unclean, and guilty.
03-7:16 But if the sacrifice of his offering
be a vow, or a voluntary offering, it
shall be eaten the same day that he offereth his sacrifice: and on the morrow also the
remainder of it shall be eaten:
03-8:8 And he put the breastplate upon him: also he
put in the breastplate the Urim and the Thummim.
03-8:9 And he put the mitre upon his head;
also upon the mitre, even upon his forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy
crown; as the LORD commanded Moses.
03-9:4 Also
a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a
meat offering mingled with oil: for
to day the LORD will appear unto you.
03-9:18 He slew also
the bullock and the ram for a
sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for
the people: and Aaron’s sons
presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar round about,
03-11:29 These also
shall be unclean unto you among the
creeping things that creep upon the earth; the weasel, and the mouse, and the
tortoise after his kind,
03-11:40 And he that eateth of the carcase of
it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: he also that beareth the carcase
of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.
03-13:18 The flesh also,
in which, even in the skin thereof, was
a boil, and is healed,
03-13:38 If a man also
or a woman have in the skin of their flesh bright spots, even white bright spots;
03-13:47 The garment also
that the plague of leprosy is in, whether
it be a woollen garment, or a linen garment;
03-14:9 But it shall be on the seventh day,
that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows,
even all his hair he shall shave off:
and he shall wash his clothes, also he shall
wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.
03-15:18 The woman also
with whom man shall lie with seed of
copulation, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean
until the even.
03-15:20 And every thing that she lieth upon
in her separation shall be unclean:
every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be
unclean.
03-18:19 Also
thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she
is put apart for her uncleanness.
03-18:28 That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations
that were before you.
03-20:13 If a man also
lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an
abomination: they shall surely be
put to death; their blood shall be upon
them.
03-20:27 A man also
or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put
to death: they shall stone them with
stones: their blood shall be upon them.
03-22:12 If the priest’s daughter also be married unto
a stranger, she may not eat of an offering of the holy things.
03-23:27 Also
on the tenth day of this seventh month
there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto
you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto
the LORD.
03-23:39 Also in
the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of
the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a
sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a
sabbath.
03-26:16 I also
will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and
the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain,
for your enemies shall eat it.
03-26:22 I will also
send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy
your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate.
03-26:24 Then will I also
walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.
03-26:28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven
times for your sins.
03-26:39 And they that are left of you shall
pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with
them.
03-26:40 If they shall confess their iniquity,
and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed
against me, and that also they have walked
contrary unto me;
03-26:41 And that I also have walked contrary
unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their
uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of
their iniquity:
03-26:42 Then will I remember my covenant with
Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I
will remember the land.
03-26:43 The land also
shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate
without them: and they shall accept
of the punishment of their iniquity:
because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul
abhorred my statutes.
04-3:1 These also
are the generations of Aaron and
Moses in the day that the LORD spake
with Moses in mount Sinai.
04-4:22 Take also
the sum of the sons of Gershon, throughout the houses of their fathers, by
their families;
04-6:17 And he shall offer the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings unto
the LORD, with the basket of unleavened bread: the priest shall offer also his meat
offering, and his drink offering.
04-9:2 Let the children of Israel also keep the passover at his appointed season.
04-10:10 Also
in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of
your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and
over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a
memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.
04-11:4 And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to
eat?
04-11:10 Then Moses heard the people weep
throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent: and the anger of the LORD was kindled
greatly; Moses also was displeased.
04-12:2 And they said, Hath the LORD indeed
spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by
us? And the LORD heard it.
04-15:15 One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your
generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the
LORD.
04-16:10 And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of
Levi with thee: and seek ye the
priesthood also?
04-16:17 And take every man his censer, and
put incense in them, and bring ye before the LORD every man his censer, two
hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron,
each of you his censer.
04-16:34 And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of
them: for they said, Lest the earth
swallow us up also.
04-18:2 And thy brethren also of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy father,
bring thou with thee, that they may be joined unto thee, and minister unto thee: but thou and thy sons with thee shall minister before the tabernacle of
witness.
04-18:3 And they shall keep thy charge, and the
charge of all the tabernacle: only
they shall not come nigh the vessels of the sanctuary and the altar, that
neither they, nor ye also, die.
04-18:8 And the LORD spake unto Aaron,
Behold, I also have given thee the charge of
mine heave offerings of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel; unto
thee have I given them by reason of the anointing, and to thy sons, by an
ordinance for ever.
04-18:28 Thus ye also
shall offer an heave offering unto the LORD of all your tithes, which ye
receive of the children of Israel; and ye shall give thereof the LORD’S heave
offering to Aaron the priest.
04-20:11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and
with his rod he smote the rock twice:
and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts
also.
04-22:19 Now therefore, I pray you, tarry ye also here this night, that I may know what the LORD
will say unto me more.
04-22:33 And the ass saw me, and turned from
me these three times: unless she had
turned from me, surely now also I had slain
thee, and saved her alive.
04-24:12 And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I
not also to thy messengers which thou sentest
unto me, saying,
04-24:18 And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel
shall do valiantly.
04-24:24 And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and
shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for
ever.
04-24:25 And Balaam rose up, and went and
returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.
04-27:13 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy
brother was gathered.
04-28:26 Also
in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat offering unto the LORD,
after your weeks be out, ye shall
have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work:
04-30:3 If a woman also
vow a vow unto the LORD, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father’s house in her youth;
04-31:8 And they slew the kings of Midian, beside
the rest of them that were slain; namely,
Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also
the son of Beor they slew with the sword.
04-33:4 For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the LORD had
smitten among them: upon their gods also the LORD executed judgments.
04-35:2 Command the children of Israel, that
they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to
dwell in; and ye shall give also unto the Levites suburbs for the cities round
about them.
05-1:37 Also
the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither.
05-2:6 Ye shall buy meat of them for
money, that ye may eat; and ye shall also buy
water of them for money, that ye may drink.
05-2:11 Which also
were accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites call them Emims.
05-2:12 The Horims also
dwelt in Seir beforetime; but the children of Esau succeeded them, when they
had destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead; as Israel did
unto the land of his possession, which the LORD gave unto them.
05-2:20 (That also
was accounted a land of giants:
giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims;
05-3:3 So the LORD our God delivered into
our hands Og also, the king of Bashan, and all
his people: and we smote him until
none was left to him remaining.
05-3:17 The plain also,
and Jordan, and the coast thereof, from
Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, even
the salt sea, under Ashdothpisgah eastward.
05-3:20 Until the LORD have given rest unto
your brethren, as well as unto you, and until
they also possess the land which the LORD
your God hath given them beyond Jordan:
and then shall ye return every man
unto his possession, which I have given you.
05-7:13 And he will love thee, and bless
thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy
land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks
of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
05-8:5 Thou shalt also
consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.
05-9:8 Also
in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to
have destroyed you.
05-9:19 For I was afraid of the anger and hot
displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the
LORD hearkened unto me at that time also.
05-9:20 And the LORD was very angry with
Aaron to have destroyed him: and I
prayed for Aaron also the same time.
05-10:10 And I stayed in the mount, according
to the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD hearkened unto me
at that time also, and the LORD would not destroy thee.
05-10:14 Behold, the heaven and the heaven of
heavens is the LORD’S thy God, the
earth also,
with all that therein is.
05-15:17 Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust
it through his ear unto the door, and
he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto
thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.
05-18:4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and
of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.
05-20:6 And what man is he that hath planted a vineyard, and hath not yet eaten of it? let him also go
and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man eat of
it.
05-23:12 Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth
abroad:
05-26:13 Then thou shalt say before the LORD
thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them
unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow,
according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy
commandments, neither have I forgotten them:
05-28:51 And he shall eat the fruit of thy
cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or
the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed
thee.
05-28:61 Also
every sickness, and every plague, which is
not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee,
until thou be destroyed.
05-29:15 But with him that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God,
and also with him that is not here with
us this day:
05-31:2 And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this
day; I can no more go out and come in:
also the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not
go over this Jordan.
05-32:24 They
shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter
destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the
poison of serpents of the dust.
05-32:25 The sword without, and terror within,
shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with
the man of gray hairs.
05-33:28 Israel then shall dwell in safety
alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.
06-1:15 Until the LORD have given your
brethren rest, as he hath given you,
and they also have possessed the land which the
LORD your God giveth them: then ye
shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the
LORD’S servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising.
06-2:12 Now therefore, I pray you, swear
unto me by the LORD, since I have shewed you kindness, that ye will also shew kindness unto my father’s house, and give me
a true token:
06-7:11 Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the
accursed thing, and have also stolen, and
dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.
06-10:30 And the LORD delivered it also, and the king thereof, into the hand of Israel;
and he smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain in it;
but did unto the king thereof as he did unto the king of Jericho.
06-10:39 And he took it, and the king thereof,
and all the cities thereof; and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and
utterly destroyed all the souls that were
therein; he left none remaining:
as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to the king thereof; as he
had done also to Libnah, and to her king.
06-13:3 From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders
of Ekron northward, which is counted
to the Canaanite: five lords of the
Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the
Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites:
06-13:22 Balaam also
the son of Beor, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword
among them that were slain by them.
06-15:19 Who answered, Give me a blessing; for
thou hast given me a south land; give me also
springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs.
06-17:1 There was also
a lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was
the firstborn of Joseph; to wit, for
Machir the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead: because he was a man of war, therefore he had Gilead and Bashan.
06-17:2 There was also
a lot for the rest of the children of
Manasseh by their families; for the children of Abiezer, and for the children
of Helek, and for the children of Asriel, and for the children of Shechem, and
for the children of Hepher, and for the children of Shemida: these were the male
children of Manasseh the son of Joseph by their families.
06-17:9 And the coast descended unto the
river Kanah, southward of the river:
these cities of Ephraim are among the
cities of Manasseh: the coast of
Manasseh also was on the north side of the river, and the outgoings of it were at
the sea:
06-19:30 Ummah also,
and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty and two
cities with their villages.
06-20:1 The LORD also
spake unto Joshua, saying,
06-22:7 Now to the one half of the tribe of Manasseh Moses had given possession in Bashan: but unto the other half
thereof gave Joshua among their brethren on this side Jordan westward. And when
Joshua sent them away also unto their tents,
then he blessed them,
06-24:5 I sent Moses also and Aaron, and I plagued Egypt, according to that which I did
among them: and afterward I brought
you out.
06-24:18 And the LORD drave out from before us
all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt in the land: therefore will we also serve the LORD; for he is our God.
07-1:15 And she
said unto him, Give me a blessing:
for thou hast given me a south land; give me also
springs of water. And Caleb gave her the upper springs and the nether springs.
07-1:18 Also Judah took Gaza with the coast thereof, and
Askelon with the coast thereof, and Ekron with the coast thereof.
07-1:22 And the house
of Joseph, they also went up against Bethel: and the LORD was with them.
07-2:3 Wherefore
I also said, I will not drive them out from
before you; but they shall be as thorns in
your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.
07-2:10 And also all that generation were gathered unto their
fathers: and there arose another
generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had
done for Israel.
07-2:21 I also will not henceforth drive out any from before
them of the nations which Joshua left when he died:
07-3:22 And the
haft also went in after the blade; and the fat closed
upon the blade, so that he could not draw the dagger out of his belly; and the
dirt came out.
07-3:31 And after
him was Shamgar the son of Anath, which slew of the Philistines six hundred men
with an ox goad: and he also delivered Israel.
07-5:4 LORD,
when thou wentest out of Seir, when thou marchedst out of the field of Edom,
the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water.
07-5:15 And the
princes of Issachar were with
Deborah; even Issachar, and also Barak: he was sent on foot into the valley.
For the divisions of Reuben there were great
thoughts of heart.
07-6:35 And he
sent messengers throughout all Manasseh; who also
was gathered after him: and he sent
messengers unto Asher, and unto Zebulun, and unto Naphtali; and they came up to
meet them.
07-7:18 When I
blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with
me, then blow ye the trumpets also on every side
of all the camp, and say, The sword of
the LORD, and of Gideon.
07-8:9 And he
spake also unto the men of Penuel, saying, When
I come again in peace, I will break down this tower.
07-8:22 Then the
men of Israel said unto Gideon, Rule thou over us, both thou, and thy son, and
thy son’s son also: for thou hast delivered us from the hand of Midian.
07-8:31 And his
concubine that was in Shechem, she also bare him a son, whose name he called Abimelech.
07-9:2 Speak, I
pray you, in the ears of all the men of Shechem, Whether is better for you, either that all the sons of Jerubbaal, which are threescore and ten persons,
reign over you, or that one reign over you? remember also
that I am your bone and your flesh.
07-9:19 If ye
then have dealt truly and sincerely with Jerubbaal and with his house this day,
then rejoice ye in Abimelech, and let
him also rejoice in you:
07-9:49 And all
the people likewise cut down every man his bough, and followed Abimelech, and
put them to the hold, and set the
hold on fire upon them; so that all the men of the tower of Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women.
07-10:9 Moreover
the children of Ammon passed over Jordan to fight also
against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; so that
Israel was sore distressed.
07-10:10 And the
children of Israel cried unto the LORD, saying, We have sinned against thee,
both because we have forsaken our God, and also
served Baalim.
07-10:12 The
Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the
Maonites, did oppress you; and ye cried to me, and I delivered you out of their
hand.
07-15:5 And when
he had set the brands on fire, he let them
go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks,
and also the standing corn, with the vineyards and olives.
07-17:2 And he
said unto his mother, The eleven hundred shekels
of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou cursedst, and spakest
of also in mine ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his mother
said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my
son.
07-19:10 But the
man would not tarry that night, but he rose up and departed, and came over
against Jebus, which is Jerusalem;
and there were with him two asses
saddled, his concubine also was with him.
07-19:16 And,
behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even, which was also
of mount Ephraim; and he sojourned in Gibeah: but the men of the place were
Benjamites.
07-19:19 Yet there
is both straw and provender for our asses; and there is bread and wine also for me, and for thy handmaid, and for the young
man which is with thy servants: there
is no want of any thing.
07-20:48 And the
men of Israel turned again upon the children of Benjamin, and smote them with
the edge of the sword, as well the men of every
city, as the beast, and all that came to hand: also they set on fire all the
cities that they came to.
08-1:5 And
Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and
the woman was left of her two sons and her husband.
08-1:12 Turn
again, my daughters, go your way; for
I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have an husband also to night, and should also
bear sons;
08-1:17 Where
thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also,
if ought but death part thee and me.
08-2:16 And let
fall also some
of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them, that she may glean them,
and rebuke her not.
08-2:21 And Ruth
the Moabitess said, He said unto me also, Thou
shalt keep fast by my young men, until they have ended all my harvest.
08-3:15 Also he said, Bring the vail that thou hast upon thee, and hold it. And when she held it, he measured
six measures of barley, and laid it on her: and she went into the city.
08-4:5 Then
said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also
of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead
upon his inheritance.
09-1:6 And her
adversary also provoked her sore, for to make
her fret, because the LORD had shut up her womb.
09-1:28 Therefore
also I have lent him to the LORD; as long as he
liveth he shall be lent to the LORD. And he worshipped the LORD there.
09-2:15 Also before they burnt the fat, the priest’s servant
came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest; for
he will not have sodden flesh of thee, but raw.
09-2:26 And the
child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men.
09-3:12 In that day
I will perform against Eli all things which
I have spoken concerning his house:
when I begin, I will also make an end.
09-3:17 And he
said, What is the thing that the LORD hath said unto thee? I pray
thee hide it not from me: God do so to thee, and more also, if thou hide any
thing from me of all the things that he said unto thee.
09-4:17 And the
messenger answered and said, Israel is fled before the Philistines, and there
hath been also a great slaughter among the
people, and thy two sons also, Hophni and
Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God is taken.
09-8:8 According
to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out
of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other
gods, so do they also unto thee.
09-8:20 That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king
may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.
09-10:11 And it
came to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied
among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What is this that is come unto the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?
09-10:12 And one of
the same place answered and said, But who is
their father? Therefore it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets?
09-10:26 And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a
band of men, whose hearts God had touched.
09-12:14 If ye will
fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the
commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye and also
the king that reigneth over you continue following the LORD your God:
09-13:4 And all
Israel heard say that Saul had smitten
a garrison of the Philistines, and that Israel
also was had in abomination with the
Philistines. And the people were called together after Saul to Gilgal.
09-14:15 And there
was trembling in the host, in the field, and among all the people: the garrison, and the spoilers, they also trembled, and the earth quaked: so it was a very great trembling.
09-14:21 Moreover
the Hebrews that were with the Philistines
before that time, which went up with them into the camp from the country round about, even they also
turned to be with the Israelites that
were with Saul and Jonathan.
09-14:22 Likewise all
the men of Israel which had hid themselves in mount Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines
fled, even they also followed hard after them in
the battle.
09-14:44 And Saul
answered, God do so and more also: for thou shalt surely die, Jonathan.
09-15:1 Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the
voice of the words of the LORD.
09-15:23 For
rebellion is as the sin of
witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity
and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
09-15:29 And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent.
09-17:38 And Saul armed
David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.
09-18:5 And David
went out whithersoever Saul sent him, and
behaved himself wisely: and Saul
set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the
people, and also in the sight of Saul’s
servants.
09-19:11 Saul also sent messengers unto David’s house, to watch him,
and to slay him in the morning: and
Michal David’s wife told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to night, to
morrow thou shalt be slain.
09-19:20 And Saul
sent messengers to take David: and
when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the spirit of
God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also
prophesied.
09-19:21 And when
it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And
Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also.
09-19:22 Then went
he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are
Samuel and David? And one said,
Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.
09-19:23 And he
went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and
the spirit of God was upon him also, and he went
on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.
09-19:24 And he
stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied
before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that
night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?
09-20:15 But also thou
shalt not cut off thy kindness from my house for ever: no, not when the LORD hath cut off the enemies of David every one
from the face of the earth.
09-22:17 And the
king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of
the LORD; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew
when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not
put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.
09-23:17 And he
said unto him, Fear not: for the
hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel,
and I shall be next unto thee; and that also
Saul my father knoweth.
09-23:25 Saul also and his men went to seek him. And they told David:
wherefore he came down into a rock, and abode in the wilderness of Maon. And
when Saul heard that, he pursued after
David in the wilderness of Maon.
09-24:8 David also arose afterward, and went out of the cave, and
cried after Saul, saying, My lord the king. And when Saul looked behind him,
David stooped with his face to the earth, and bowed himself.
09-25:13 And David
said unto his men, Gird ye on every man his sword. And they girded on every man
his sword; and David also girded on his sword: and there went up after David about four
hundred men; and two hundred abode by the stuff.
09-25:22 So and
more also do God unto the enemies of David, if I
leave of all that pertain to him by
the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.
09-25:43 David also took Ahinoam of Jezreel; and they were also both of them his wives.
09-26:25 Then Saul
said to David, Blessed be thou, my
son David: thou shalt both do great things, and also
shalt still prevail. So David went on his way, and Saul returned to his place.
09-28:19 Moreover
the LORD will also deliver Israel with thee into
the hand of the Philistines: and to
morrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me: the LORD also shall deliver the
host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.
09-28:22 Now
therefore, I pray thee, hearken thou also unto
the voice of thine handmaid, and let me set a morsel of bread before thee; and
eat, that thou mayest have strength, when thou goest on thy way.
09-30:21 And David
came to the two hundred men, which were so faint that they could not follow
David, whom they had made also to abide at the
brook Besor: and they went forth to
meet David, and to meet the people that were
with him: and when David came
near to the people, he saluted them.
10-1:4 And
David said unto him, How went the matter? I pray thee, tell me. And he
answered, That the people are fled from the battle, and many of the people also are fallen and dead; and Saul and Jonathan his
son are dead also.
10-1:18 (Also he bade them teach the children of Judah the use of the bow: behold, it is written
in the book of Jasher.)
10-2:2 So David
went up thither, and his two wives also, Ahinoam
the Jezreelitess, and Abigail Nabal’s wife the Carmelite.
10-2:6 And now
the LORD shew kindness and truth unto you:
and I also will requite you this kindness,
because ye have done this thing.
10-2:7 Therefore
now let your hands be strengthened, and be ye valiant: for your master Saul is dead, and also
the house of Judah have anointed me king over them.
10-2:24 Joab also and Abishai pursued after Abner: and the sun went down when they were
come to the hill of Ammah, that lieth before
Giah by the way of the wilderness of Gibeon.
10-3:9 So do
God to Abner, and more also, except, as the LORD
hath sworn to David, even so I do to him;
10-3:12 And Abner
sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the land? saying also, Make thy league with me, and, behold, my
hand shall be with thee, to bring
about all Israel unto thee.
10-3:19 And Abner
also spake in the ears of Benjamin: and Abner went also to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that seemed
good to Israel, and that seemed good to the whole house of Benjamin.
10-3:35 And when
all the people came to cause David to eat meat while it was yet day, David
sware, saying, So do God to me, and more also,
if I taste bread, or ought else, till the sun be down.
10-4:2 And
Saul’s son had two men that were captains
of bands: the name of the one was Baanah, and the name of the other
Rechab, the sons of Rimmon a Beerothite, of the children of Benjamin: (for Beeroth also
was reckoned to Benjamin.
10-5:2 Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou
wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and
thou shalt be a captain over Israel.
10-5:15 Ibhar also, and Elishua, and Nepheg, and Japhia,
10-5:18 The
Philistines also came and spread themselves in
the valley of Rephaim.
10-7:11 And as
since the time that I commanded judges to
be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine
enemies. Also the LORD telleth thee that he will
make thee an house.
10-7:19 And this
was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord GOD; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant’s house for a great while to come.
And is this the manner of man, O Lord
GOD?
10-8:3 David
smote also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of
Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates.
10-8:11 Which also king David did dedicate unto the LORD, with the
silver and gold that he had dedicated of all nations which he subdued;
10-10:14 And when
the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, then fled they also before Abishai, and entered into the city. So
Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.
10-11:12 And David
said to Uriah, Tarry here to day also, and to
morrow I will let thee depart. So Uriah abode in Jerusalem that day, and the
morrow.
10-11:17 And the
men of the city went out, and fought with Joab: and there fell some of
the people of the servants of David; and Uriah the Hittite died also.
10-11:21 Who smote
Abimelech the son of Jerubbesheth? did not a woman cast a piece of a millstone
upon him from the wall, that he died in Thebez? why went ye nigh the wall? then
say thou, Thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.
10-11:24 And the
shooters shot from off the wall upon thy servants; and some of the king’s servants be dead, and thy servant Uriah the
Hittite is dead also.
10-12:13 And David
said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David,
The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt
not die.
10-12:14 Howbeit, because
by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to
blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.
10-13:36 And it
came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the
king’s sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all his
servants wept very sore.
10-14:7 And,
behold, the whole family is risen against thine handmaid, and they said,
Deliver him that smote his brother, that we may kill him, for the life of his
brother whom he slew; and we will destroy the heir also: and so they shall quench my coal
which is left, and shall not leave to my husband neither name nor remainder upon the earth.
10-15:19 Then said
the king to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore goest thou also
with us? return to thy place, and abide with the king: for thou art a
stranger, and also an exile.
10-15:21 And Ittai
answered the king, and said, As the
LORD liveth, and as my lord the king
liveth, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or
life, even there also will thy servant be.
10-15:23 And all
the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also
himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward
the way of the wilderness.
10-15:24 And lo
Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the
covenant of God: and they set down
the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out
of the city.
10-15:27 The king
said also unto Zadok the priest, Art not thou a seer? return into the
city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan the
son of Abiathar.
10-15:34 But if
thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have
been thy father’s servant hitherto, so will
I now also be thy servant: then
mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.
10-17:5 Then said
Absalom, Call now Hushai the Archite also, and
let us hear likewise what he saith.
10-17:10 And he also that is valiant,
whose heart is as the heart of a
lion, shall utterly melt: for all
Israel knoweth that thy father is a
mighty man, and they which be with him are valiant men.
10-18:2 And David
sent forth a third part of the people under the hand of Joab, and a third part
under the hand of Abishai the son of Zeruiah, Joab’s brother, and a third part
under the hand of Ittai the Gittite. And the king said unto the people, I will
surely go forth with you myself also.
10-18:22 Then said
Ahimaaz the son of Zadok yet again to Joab, But howsoever, let me, I pray thee,
also run after Cushi. And Joab said, Wherefore
wilt thou run, my son, seeing that thou hast no tidings ready?
10-18:26 And the
watchman saw another man running:
and the watchman called unto the porter, and said, Behold another man running alone. And the king said, He also bringeth tidings.
10-19:13 And say ye
to Amasa, Art thou not of my bone,
and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also,
if thou be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.
10-19:40 Then the
king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went on with him: and all the people of Judah conducted the king, and also half the people of Israel.
10-19:43 And the
men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the
king, and we have also more right in David than ye:
why then did ye despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing
back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of
the men of Israel.
10-20:14 And he went
through all the tribes of Israel unto Abel, and to Bethmaachah, and all the
Berites: and they were gathered
together, and went also after him.
10-20:26 And Ira also the Jairite was a chief ruler about David.
10-21:20 And there
was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every
foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also
was born to the giant.
10-22:10 He bowed
the heavens also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet.
10-22:20 He brought
me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted
in me.
10-22:24 I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from
mine iniquity.
10-22:36 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me
great.
10-22:41 Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might
destroy them that hate me.
10-22:44 Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my
people, thou hast kept me to be head
of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.
10-22:49 And that
bringeth me forth from mine enemies:
thou also hast lifted me up on high above them
that rose up against me: thou hast
delivered me from the violent man.
10-23:20 And
Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done
many acts, he slew two lionlike men of Moab:
he went down also and slew a lion in the midst
of a pit in time of snow:
11-1:6 And his
father had not displeased him at any time in saying, Why hast thou done so? and
he also was
a very goodly man; and his mother bare him after Absalom.
11-1:14 Behold,
while thou yet talkest there with the king, I also
will come in after thee, and confirm thy words.
11-1:22 And, lo,
while she yet talked with the king, Nathan the prophet also
came in.
11-1:33 The king also said unto them, Take with you the servants of
your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon mine own mule, and bring him
down to Gihon:
11-1:46 And also Solomon sitteth on the throne of the kingdom.
11-1:48 And also thus said the king, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which hath given one to sit on my throne this day, mine eyes even seeing it.
11-2:5 Moreover
thou knowest also what Joab the son of Zeruiah
did to me, and what he did to the two
captains of the hosts of Israel, unto Abner the son of Ner, and unto Amasa the
son of Jether, whom he slew, and shed the blood of war in peace, and put the
blood of war upon his girdle that was about
his loins, and in his shoes that were on
his feet.
11-2:22 And king
Solomon answered and said unto his mother, And why dost thou ask Abishag the
Shunammite for Adonijah? ask for him the kingdom also;
for he is mine elder brother; even
for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab the son of Zeruiah.
11-2:23 Then king
Solomon sware by the LORD, saying, God do so to me, and more also, if Adonijah have not spoken this word against
his own life.
11-3:13 And I
have also given thee that which thou hast not
asked, both riches, and honour: so
that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
11-3:18 And it
came to pass the third day after that I was delivered, that this woman was
delivered also: and we were together; there was no stranger with us in the
house, save we two in the house.
11-4:13 The son
of Geber, in Ramothgilead; to him pertained
the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities
with walls and brasen bars:
11-4:15 Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
11-4:28 Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought
they unto the place where the officers were,
every man according to his charge.
11-4:33 And he
spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is
in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also
of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
11-6:22 And the
whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: also
the whole altar that was by the
oracle he overlaid with gold.
11-6:32 The two
doors also were
of olive tree; and he carved upon them carvings of cherubims and palm trees
and open flowers, and overlaid them with
gold, and spread gold upon the cherubims, and upon the palm trees.
11-6:33 So also made he for the door of the temple posts of olive tree, a fourth part of the wall.
11-7:2 He built
also the house of the forest of Lebanon; the
length thereof was an hundred cubits,
and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits,
upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.
11-7:8 And his
house where he dwelt had another
court within the porch, which was of
the like work. Solomon made also an house for
Pharaoh’s daughter, whom he had taken to
wife, like unto this porch.
11-7:20 And the
chapiters upon the two pillars had
pomegranates also above, over against the
belly which was by the network: and the pomegranates were two hundred in rows round about
upon the other chapiter.
11-7:31 And the
mouth of it within the chapiter and above was
a cubit: but the mouth thereof was round after the work of the base, a cubit and an half: and also upon the mouth of it were gravings with their borders,
foursquare, not round.
11-8:24 Who hast
kept with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him: thou spakest also
with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with
thine hand, as it is this day.
11-9:21 Their
children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel also were not able utterly to destroy, upon those did
Solomon levy a tribute of bondservice unto this day.
11-10:11 And the
navy also of Hiram, that brought gold from
Ophir, brought in from Ophir great plenty of almug trees, and precious stones.
11-10:12 And the
king made of the almug trees pillars for the house of the LORD, and for the
king’s house, harps also and psalteries for
singers: there came no such almug
trees, nor were seen unto this day.
11-12:14 And spake
to them after the counsel of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke
heavy, and I will add to your yoke:
my father also
chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.
11-13:5 The altar
also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the
altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the
LORD.
11-13:11 Now there
dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works
that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.
11-13:18 He said
unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art;
and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back
with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.
11-13:24 And when
he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the
lion also stood by the carcase.
11-14:23 For they also built them high places, and images, and groves,
on every high hill, and under every green tree.
11-14:24 And there
were also sodomites in the land: and
they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD
cast out before the children of Israel.
11-15:13 And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an
idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron.
11-16:7 And also by the hand of the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani
came the word of the LORD against Baasha, and against his house, even for all
the evil that he did in the sight of the LORD, in provoking him to anger with
the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and because he
killed him.
11-16:16 And the
people that were encamped heard say,
Zimri hath conspired, and hath also slain the
king: wherefore all Israel made
Omri, the captain of the host, king over Israel that day in the camp.
11-17:20 And he
cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying
her son?
11-18:35 And the
water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water.
11-19:2 Then
Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also,
if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.
11-20:3 Thy
silver and thy gold is mine; thy
wives also and thy children, even the goodliest, are mine.
11-20:10 And
Benhadad sent unto him, and said, The gods do so unto me, and more also, if the dust of Samaria shall suffice for
handfuls for all the people that follow me.
11-21:19 And thou
shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou killed, and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him,
saying, Thus saith the LORD, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth
shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.
11-21:23 And of
Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs
shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.
11-22:22 And the
LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a
lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade
him, and prevail also: go
forth, and do so.
12-1:11 Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with
his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king
said, Come down quickly.
12-2:13 He took
up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him,
and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;
12-2:14 And he
took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said,
Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and
when he also had smitten the waters, they parted
hither and thither: and Elisha went
over.
12-3:18 And this
is but a light thing in the sight of
the LORD: he will deliver the
Moabites also into your hand.
12-5:1 Now
Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his
master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto
Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.
12-6:31 Then he
said, God do so and more also to me, if the head
of Elisha the son of Shaphat shall stand on him this day.
12-7:4 If we
say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also.
Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live;
and if they kill us, we shall but die.
12-7:8 And when
these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent,
and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and
went and hid it; and came again, and
entered into another tent, and carried thence also, and went and hid it.
12-8:1 Then
spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise,
and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the LORD hath called for a
famine; and it shall also come upon the land
seven years.
12-9:27 But when
Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he
fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said,
Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur,
which is by Ibleam. And he fled to
Megiddo, and died there.
12-10:2 Now as
soon as this letter cometh to you, seeing your master’s sons are with you, and there are with you chariots and horses, a fenced city also, and armour;
12-10:5 And he
that was over the house, and he that was over the city, the elders also, and the bringers up of the children, sent to Jehu, saying, We are thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt bid us; we will
not make any king: do thou that which is good in thine eyes.
12-11:17 And
Jehoiada made a covenant between the LORD and the king and the people, that they
should be the LORD’S people; between the king also
and the people.
12-13:6 Nevertheless
they departed not from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, who made Israel sin, but walked therein: and there remained the grove also
in Samaria.)
12-16:14 And he
brought also the brasen altar, which was before the LORD, from the forefront
of the house, from between the altar and the house of the LORD, and put it on
the north side of the altar.
12-17:19 Also Judah kept not the commandments of the LORD their
God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.
12-18:2 Twenty
and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and
nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah.
12-21:11 Because
Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols:
12-22:19 Because
thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the LORD, when thou
heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof,
that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes,
and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith the LORD.
12-23:5 And he
put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn
incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round
about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto
Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of
heaven.
12-23:19 And all
the houses also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the
kings of Israel had made to provoke the
LORD to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts
that he had done in Bethel.
12-23:27 And the
LORD said, I will remove Judah also out of my
sight, as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which I
have chosen, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.
12-24:4 And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent
blood; which the LORD would not pardon.
13-1:14 The
Jebusite also, and the Amorite, and the
Girgashite,
13-1:21 Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,
13-1:51 Hadad
died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke
Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,
13-2:9 The sons
also of Hezron, that were born unto him;
Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.
13-2:26 Jerahmeel
had also another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
13-2:49 She bare also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father
of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea:
and the daughter of Caleb was Achsa.
13-3:6 Ibhar also, and Elishama, and Eliphelet,
13-3:18 Malchiram
also, and Pedaiah, and Shenazar, Jecamiah,
Hoshama, and Nedabiah.
13-6:3 And the
children of Amram; Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam. The sons also of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
13-6:48 Their
brethren also the Levites were appointed unto all manner of service of the tabernacle of the
house of God.
13-6:67 And they
gave unto them, of the cities of
refuge, Shechem in mount Ephraim with her suburbs; they gave also Gezer with her
suburbs,
13-6:79 Kedemoth also with her suburbs, and Mephaath with her suburbs:
13-7:10 The sons also of Jediael; Bilhan: and the sons of Bilhan; Jeush, and Benjamin, and Ehud, and
Chenaanah, and Zethan, and Tharshish, and Ahishahar.
13-7:12 Shuppim also, and Huppim, the children of Ir, and Hushim, the sons of Aher.
13-7:25 And
Rephah was his son, also Resheph, and Telah his son, and Tahan his son,
13-7:28 And their
possessions and habitations were, Bethel
and the towns thereof, and eastward Naaran, and westward Gezer, with the towns
thereof; Shechem also and the towns thereof,
unto Gaza and the towns thereof:
13-8:13 Beriah also, and Shema, who were heads of the fathers of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who drove
away the inhabitants of Gath:
13-8:18 Ishmerai also, and Jezliah, and Jobab, the sons of Elpaal;
13-8:32 And
Mikloth begat Shimeah. And these also dwelt with
their brethren in Jerusalem, over against them.
13-9:29 Some of them also
were appointed to oversee the vessels
and all the instruments of the sanctuary, and the fine flour, and the wine, and
the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.
13-9:38 And
Mikloth begat Shimeam. And they also dwelt with
their brethren at Jerusalem, over against their brethren.
13-10:13 So Saul
died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which
he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;
13-11:10 These also are the
chief of the mighty men whom David had, who strengthened themselves with him in
his kingdom, and with all Israel, to make
him king, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.
13-11:22 Benaiah
the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done many
acts; he slew two lionlike men of Moab:
also he went down and slew a lion in a pit in a
snowy day.
13-11:26 Also the valiant men of the armies were, Asahel the brother of Joab,
Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,
13-12:38 All these
men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make
David king over all Israel: and all
the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
13-13:2 And David
said unto all the congregation of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and that
it be of the LORD our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren every
where, that are left in all the land
of Israel, and with them also to the priests and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs, that they may gather
themselves unto us:
13-15:27 And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen,
and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the
master of the song with the singers:
David also had
upon him an ephod of linen.
13-16:6 Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets
continually before the ark of the covenant of God.
13-16:25 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also
is to be feared above all gods.
13-16:30 Fear
before him, all the earth: the world
also shall be stable, that it be not moved.
13-16:38 And
Obededom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obededom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters:
13-17:9 Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and
will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no
more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the
beginning,
13-17:17 And yet this was a small thing in thine
eyes, O God; for thou hast also spoken of thy servant’s house for a great
while to come, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high
degree, O LORD God.
13-18:4 And David
took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty
thousand footmen: David also houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots.
13-18:11 Them also king David dedicated unto the LORD, with the
silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of
Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
13-20:2 And David
took the crown of their king from off his head, and found it to weigh a talent
of gold, and there were precious
stones in it; and it was set upon David’s head: and he brought also exceeding much
spoil out of the city.
13-20:6 And yet
again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on
each hand, and six on each foot: and he also
was the son of the giant.
13-21:23 And Ornan
said unto David, Take it to thee, and
let my lord the king do that which is good
in his eyes: lo, I give thee the oxen also for burnt offerings, and the
threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meat offering; I give it
all.
13-22:4 Also cedar trees in abundance: for the Zidonians and they of Tyre brought much cedar wood to
David.
13-22:14 Now,
behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the LORD an hundred
thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of
brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I
prepared; and thou mayest add thereto.
13-22:17 David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help
Solomon his son, saying,
13-23:26 And also unto the Levites; they shall no more carry the tabernacle, nor any
vessels of it for the service thereof.
13-24:30 The sons also of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after the
house of their fathers.
13-26:6 Also unto Shemaiah his son were sons born, that ruled
throughout the house of their father:
for they were mighty men of valour.
13-26:10 Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons; Simri
the chief, (for though he was not the
firstborn, yet his father made him the chief;)
13-27:4 And over
the course of the second month was Dodai
an Ahohite, and of his course was Mikloth
also the ruler: in his course likewise were
twenty and four thousand.
13-27:30 Over the
camels also was
Obil the Ishmaelite: and over
the asses was Jehdeiah the
Meronothite:
13-27:32 Also Jonathan David’s uncle was a counsellor, a wise
man, and a scribe: and Jehiel the
son of Hachmoni was with the king’s
sons:
13-28:13 Also for the courses of the priests and the Levites,
and for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and for all the
vessels of service in the house of the LORD.
13-28:14 He gave of gold by weight for things of gold, for all instruments of
all manner of service; silver also for all instruments of silver by weight, for
all instruments of every kind of service:
13-28:15 Even the
weight for the candlesticks of gold, and for their lamps of gold, by weight for
every candlestick, and for the lamps thereof: and for the candlesticks of silver by weight, both for the candlestick, and also for
the lamps thereof, according to the use of every candlestick.
13-28:17 Also pure gold for the fleshhooks, and the bowls, and
the cups: and for the golden basons he gave gold by weight for every bason;
and likewise silver by weight for
every bason of silver:
13-28:21 And,
behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall be with thee for all the service of the house of
God: and there shall be with thee for all manner of workmanship every
willing skilful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the
people will be wholly at thy
commandment.
13-29:9 Then the
people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart
they offered willingly to the LORD:
and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.
13-29:17 I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast
pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have
willingly offered all these things:
and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer
willingly unto thee.
14-2:8 Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of
Lebanon: for I know that thy
servants can skill to cut timber in Lebanon; and, behold, my servants shall be with thy servants,
14-2:14 The son
of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father was a man of Tyre, skilful to work in gold, and in silver, in
brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen,
and in crimson; also to grave any manner of
graving, and to find out every device which shall be put to him, with thy
cunning men, and with the cunning men of my lord David thy father.
14-3:7 He
overlaid also the house, the beams, the posts,
and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubims
on the walls.
14-3:12 And one wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of
the house: and the other wing was five cubits also, joining to the wing of the
other cherub.
14-3:15 Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty
and five cubits high, and the chapiter that was
on the top of each of them was five
cubits.
14-4:2 Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to
brim, round in compass, and five cubits the height thereof; and a line of
thirty cubits did compass it round about.
14-4:6 He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and
five on the left, to wash in them:
such things as they offered for the burnt offering they washed in them; but the
sea was for the priests to wash in.
14-4:8 He made also ten tables, and placed them in the temple, five on the right side, and five on the left.
And he made an hundred basons of gold.
14-4:14 He made also bases, and lavers made he upon the bases;
14-4:16 The pots also, and the shovels, and the fleshhooks, and all
their instruments, did Huram his father make to king Solomon for the house of
the LORD of bright brass.
14-4:19 And
Solomon made all the vessels that were
for the house of God, the golden altar also,
and the tables whereon the shewbread was
set;
14-5:6 Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel
that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which
could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
14-5:12 Also the Levites which
were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their
sons and their brethren, being arrayed
in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end
of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)
14-7:6 And the
priests waited on their offices: the
Levites also with instruments of musick of the
LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever, when David praised by
their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel
stood.
14-7:8 Also at the same time Solomon kept the feast seven
days, and all Israel with him, a very great congregation, from the entering in
of Hamath unto the river of Egypt.
14-8:5 Also he built Bethhoron the upper, and Bethhoron the
nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;
14-8:14 And he
appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the
priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and
minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also
by their courses at every gate: for
so had David the man of God commanded.
14-9:4 And the
meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his
ministers, and their apparel; his cupbearers also,
and their apparel; and his ascent by which he went up into the house of the
LORD; there was no more spirit in her.
14-9:10 And the
servants also of Huram, and the servants of
Solomon, which brought gold from Ophir, brought algum trees and precious
stones.
14-12:5 Then came
Shemaiah the prophet to Rehoboam, and to the
princes of Judah, that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak,
and said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Ye have forsaken me, and therefore
have I also left you in the hand of Shishak.
14-12:9 So
Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of
the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king’s house; he took all: he carried away also the shields of gold which Solomon had made.
14-12:12 And when
he humbled himself, the wrath of the LORD turned from him, that he would not
destroy him altogether: and also
in Judah things went well.
14-13:2 He
reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also
was Michaiah the daughter of Uriel of
Gibeah. And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.
14-13:3 And
Abijah set the battle in array with an army of valiant men of war, even four hundred thousand chosen men: Jeroboam also
set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, being mighty men of valour.
14-13:11 And they
burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet
incense: the shewbread also set they in
order upon the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with the lamps
thereof, to burn every evening: for
we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but ye have forsaken him.
14-14:5 Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the
high places and the images: and the
kingdom was quiet before him.
14-14:15 They smote
also the tents of cattle, and carried away sheep
and camels in abundance, and returned to Jerusalem.
14-15:16 And also concerning Maachah
the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and
stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.
14-17:7 Also in the third year of his reign he sent to his
princes, even to Benhail, and to
Obadiah, and to Zechariah, and to Nethaneel, and to Michaiah, to teach in the
cities of Judah.
14-17:11 Also some of
the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents, and tribute silver; and the
Arabians brought him flocks, seven thousand and seven hundred rams, and seven
thousand and seven hundred he goats.
14-18:21 And he
said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.
And the LORD said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail:
go out, and do even so.
14-19:11 And,
behold, Amariah the chief priest is over
you in all matters of the LORD; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of
the house of Judah, for all the king’s matters: also the Levites shall be officers before you. Deal
courageously, and the LORD shall be with the good.
14-20:1 It came
to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them
other beside the Ammonites, came
against Jehoshaphat to battle.
14-21:4 Now when
Jehoram was risen up to the kingdom of his father, he strengthened himself, and
slew all his brethren with the sword, and divers
also of the princes of Israel.
14-21:10 So the
Edomites revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. The same time also did
Libnah revolt from under his hand; because he had forsaken the LORD God of his
fathers.
14-21:13 But hast
walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the
inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to the whoredoms of the house of
Ahab, and also hast slain thy brethren of thy
father’s house, which were better
than thyself:
14-21:17 And they
came up into Judah, and brake into it, and carried away all the substance that
was found in the king’s house, and his sons also,
and his wives; so that there was never a son left him, save Jehoahaz, the
youngest of his sons.
14-22:2 Forty and
two years old was Ahaziah when he
began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Athaliah
the daughter of Omri.
14-22:3 He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his counsellor to
do wickedly.
14-22:5 He walked
also after their counsel, and went with Jehoram
the son of Ahab king of Israel to war against Hazael king of Syria at
Ramothgilead: and the Syrians smote
Joram.
14-23:13 And she
looked, and, behold, the king stood at his pillar at the entering in, and the
princes and the trumpets by the king:
and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded with trumpets, also the singers with instruments of musick, and such
as taught to sing praise. Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason,
Treason.
14-23:18 Also Jehoiada appointed the offices of the house of
the LORD by the hand of the priests the Levites, whom David had distributed in
the house of the LORD, to offer the burnt offerings of the LORD, as it is written in the law of Moses, with
rejoicing and with singing, as it was
ordained by David.
14-24:1 Joash was seven years old when he began to
reign, and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Zibiah
of Beersheba.
14-24:7 For the
sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken up the house of God; and also all the dedicated things of the house of the LORD
did they bestow upon Baalim.
14-24:12 And the
king and Jehoiada gave it to such as did the work of the service of the house
of the LORD, and hired masons and carpenters to repair the house of the LORD,
and also such as wrought iron and brass to mend
the house of the LORD.
14-24:20 And the Spirit
of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above
the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the
commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the
LORD, he hath also forsaken you.
14-25:6 He hired also an hundred thousand mighty men of valour out of
Israel for an hundred talents of silver.
14-25:24 And he took all the gold and the silver, and
all the vessels that were found in the house of God with Obededom, and the
treasures of the king’s house, the hostages also,
and returned to Samaria.
14-26:3 Sixteen
years old was Uzziah when he began to
reign, and he reigned fifty and two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Jecoliah
of Jerusalem.
14-26:10 Also he built towers in the desert, and digged many
wells: for he had much cattle, both
in the low country, and in the plains:
husbandmen also,
and vine dressers in the mountains, and in Carmel: for he loved husbandry.
14-26:20 And Azariah
the chief priest, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they
thrust him out from thence; yea, himself hasted also
to go out, because the LORD had smitten him.
14-27:1 Jotham was twenty and five years old when he
began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Jerushah,
the daughter of Zadok.
14-27:5 He fought
also with the king of the Ammonites, and
prevailed against them. And the children of Ammon gave him the same year an
hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand
of barley. So much did the children of Ammon pay unto him, both the second
year, and the third.
14-28:2 For he
walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and made also
molten images for Baalim.
14-28:4 He
sacrificed also and burnt incense in the high
places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.
14-28:5 Wherefore
the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they
smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel,
who smote him with a great slaughter.
14-28:8 And the
children of Israel carried away captive of their brethren two hundred thousand,
women, sons, and daughters, and took also away
much spoil from them, and brought the spoil to Samaria.
14-28:18 The
Philistines also had invaded the cities of the low
country, and of the south of Judah, and had taken Bethshemesh, and Ajalon, and
Gederoth, and Shocho with the villages thereof, and Timnah with the villages
thereof, Gimzo also and the villages thereof: and they dwelt there.
14-29:7 Also they have shut up the doors of the porch, and put
out the lamps, and have not burned incense nor offered burnt offerings in the
holy place unto the God of Israel.
14-29:22 So they
killed the bullocks, and the priests received the blood, and sprinkled it on the altar: likewise, when they had killed the rams, they sprinkled the blood
upon the altar: they killed also the lambs, and they sprinkled the blood upon the
altar.
14-29:27 And
Hezekiah commanded to offer the burnt offering upon the altar. And when the
burnt offering began, the song of the LORD began also with the trumpets, and with the
instruments ordained by David king of
Israel.
14-29:35 And also the burnt offerings were in abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings, and the
drink offerings for every burnt
offering. So the service of the house of the LORD was set in order.
14-30:1 And
Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to
the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, to keep the passover unto the LORD God of
Israel.
14-30:12 Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one
heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the
LORD.
14-31:1 Now when
all this was finished, all Israel that were present went out to the cities of
Judah, and brake the images in pieces, and cut down the groves, and threw down
the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed
them all. Then all the children of Israel returned, every man to his
possession, into their own cities.
14-31:3 He appointed also
the king’s portion of his substance for the burnt offerings, to wit, for the morning and evening
burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the sabbaths, and for the new
moons, and for the set feasts, as it is written
in the law of the LORD.
14-31:6 And concerning the children of Israel and
Judah, that dwelt in the cities of Judah, they also
brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of holy things which were
consecrated unto the LORD their God, and laid them by heaps.
14-31:19 Also of the sons of Aaron the priests, which were in the fields of the suburbs
of their cities, in every several city, the men that were expressed by name, to
give portions to all the males among the priests, and to all that were reckoned
by genealogies among the Levites.
14-32:5 Also he strengthened himself, and built up all the
wall that was broken, and raised it up
to the towers, and another wall without, and repaired Millo in the city of David, and made darts and
shields in abundance.
14-32:17 He wrote also letters to rail on the LORD God of Israel, and to
speak against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of other lands have not delivered their people out of mine hand, so
shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his people out of mine hand.
14-32:28 Storehouses
also for the increase of corn, and wine, and oil;
and stalls for all manner of beasts, and cotes for flocks.
14-32:30 This same
Hezekiah also stopped the upper watercourse of
Gihon, and brought it straight down to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah
prospered in all his works.
14-33:4 Also he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof
the LORD had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.
14-33:6 And he
caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also
he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a
familiar spirit, and with wizards:
he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
14-33:19 His prayer
also, and how
God was intreated of him, and all his sins, and his trespass, and the
places wherein he built high places, and set up groves and graven images, before
he was humbled: behold, they are written among the sayings of the
seers.
14-34:13 Also they were over
the bearers of burdens, and were overseers
of all that wrought the work in any manner of service: and of the Levites there
were scribes, and officers, and porters.
14-34:27 Because
thine heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before God, when thou heardest
his words against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, and
humbledst thyself before me, and didst rend thy clothes, and weep before me; I
have even heard thee also, saith the LORD.
14-35:9 Conaniah also, and Shemaiah and Nethaneel, his brethren, and
Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, chief of the Levites, gave unto the Levites
for passover offerings five thousand small
cattle, and five hundred oxen.
14-36:7 Nebuchadnezzar
also carried of the vessels of the house of the
LORD to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon.
14-36:13 And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had
made him swear by God: but he
stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning unto the LORD God of
Israel.
14-36:22 Now in the
first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be
accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he
made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,
15-1:1 Now in
the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth
of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of
Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also
in writing, saying,
15-1:7 Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the
house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and
had put them in the house of his gods;
15-3:4 They
kept also the feast of tabernacles, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number, according to the
custom, as the duty of every day required;
15-3:7 They
gave money also unto the masons, and to the
carpenters; and meat, and drink, and oil, unto them of Zidon, and to them of
Tyre, to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea of Joppa, according to the
grant that they had of Cyrus king of Persia.
15-4:20 There have
been mighty kings also over Jerusalem, which
have ruled over all countries beyond
the river; and toll, tribute, and custom, was paid unto them.
15-5:10 We asked
their names also, to certify thee, that we might
write the names of the men that were the
chief of them.
15-5:14 And the
vessels also of gold and silver of the house of
God, which Nebuchadnezzar took out of the temple that was in Jerusalem, and brought them into the temple of Babylon,
those did Cyrus the king take out of the temple of Babylon, and they were
delivered unto one, whose name was Sheshbazzar, whom he had made
governor;
15-6:5 And also let the golden and silver vessels of the house of
God, which Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple which is at Jerusalem, and brought unto
Babylon, be restored, and brought again unto the temple which is at Jerusalem, every one to his place, and place them in the house of God.
15-6:11 Also I have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter
this word, let timber be pulled down from his house, and being set up, let him
be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this.
15-7:19 The
vessels also that are given thee for the service
of the house of thy God, those deliver
thou before the God of Jerusalem.
15-7:24 Also we certify you, that touching any of the priests
and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or ministers of this house of God, it
shall not be lawful to impose toll, tribute, or custom, upon them.
15-8:6 Of the
sons also of Adin; Ebed the son of Jonathan, and
with him fifty males.
15-8:14 Of the
sons also of Bigvai; Uthai, and Zabbud, and with
them seventy males.
15-8:16 Then sent
I for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib, and
for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men; also for Joiarib, and for Elnathan, men of
understanding.
15-8:20 Also of the Nethinims, whom David and the princes had
appointed for the service of the Levites, two hundred and twenty Nethinims: all of them were expressed by name.
15-8:27 Also twenty basons of gold, of a thousand drams; and
two vessels of fine copper, precious as gold.
15-8:28 And I
said unto them, Ye are holy unto the
LORD; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the LORD God of your fathers.
15-8:35 Also the
children of those that had been carried away, which were come out of the
captivity, offered burnt offerings unto the God of Israel, twelve bullocks for
all Israel, ninety and six rams, seventy and seven lambs, twelve he goats for a sin offering: all this was a burnt
offering unto the LORD.
15-10:4 Arise;
for this matter belongeth unto thee: we also will be with
thee: be of good courage, and do it.
15-10:23 Also of the Levites; Jozabad, and Shimei, and Kelaiah,
(the same is Kelita,) Pethahiah,
Judah, and Eliezer.
15-10:24 Of the
singers also; Eliashib: and of the porters; Shallum, and Telem, and Uri.
15-10:28 Of the
sons also of Bebai; Jehohanan, Hananiah, Zabbai,
and Athlai.
16-1:3 And they
said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken
down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.
16-2:6 And the
king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by
him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it
pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time.
16-2:18 Then I told
them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also
the king’s words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and
build. So they strengthened their hands for this
good work.
16-3:3 But the
fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build, who also laid the beams thereof, and set
up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof.
16-3:8 Next
unto him repaired Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, of the goldsmiths. Next unto him also repaired Hananiah the son of one of the apothecaries, and they fortified Jerusalem unto the
broad wall.
16-3:29 After
them repaired Zadok the son of Immer over against his house. After him repaired
also Shemaiah the son of Shechaniah, the keeper
of the east gate.
16-5:3 Some also
there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that
we might buy corn, because of the dearth.
16-5:4 There
were also that said, We have borrowed money for
the king’s tribute, and that upon our
lands and vineyards.
16-5:9 Also I said, It is
not good that ye do: ought ye
not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our
enemies?
16-5:11 Restore,
I pray you, to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their oliveyards,
and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money, and of the corn, the
wine, and the oil, that ye exact of them.
16-5:13 Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every
man from his house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even
thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and
praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise.
16-5:16 Yea, also I continued in the work of this wall, neither
bought we any land: and all my
servants were gathered thither unto
the work.
16-5:18 Now that which was prepared for me daily was one ox and six choice
sheep; also fowls were prepared for me, and once
in ten days store of all sorts of wine:
yet for all this required not I the bread of the governor, because the bondage
was heavy upon this people.
16-6:7 And thou
hast also appointed prophets to preach of thee
at Jerusalem, saying, There is a king
in Judah: and now shall it be
reported to the king according to these words. Come now therefore, and let us
take counsel together.
16-6:19 Also they reported his good deeds before me, and
uttered my words to him. And Tobiah
sent letters to put me in fear.
16-7:61 And these
were they which went up also from
Telmelah, Telharesha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shew their father’s house, nor their seed,
whether they were of Israel.
16-8:7 Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai,
Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites,
caused the people to understand the law:
and the people stood in their place.
16-8:18 Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day,
he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and
on the eighth day was a solemn
assembly, according unto the manner.
16-9:13 Thou
camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest
with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good
statutes and commandments:
16-9:20 Thou
gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them,
and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their
thirst.
16-9:23 Their
children also multipliedst thou as the stars of
heaven, and broughtest them into the land, concerning which thou hadst promised
to their fathers, that they should go in to possess it.
16-9:37 And it
yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou hast set over us because of our
sins: also
they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and
we are in great distress.
16-10:32 Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves
yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God;
16-10:36 Also the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the
firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God,
unto the priests that minister in the house of our God:
16-11:1 And the
rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem:
the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring
one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other cities.
16-11:15 Also of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hashub, the son of Azrikam, the son of
Hashabiah, the son of Bunni;
16-11:22 The
overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of
Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, the
singers were over the business of the
house of God.
16-11:31 The
children also of Benjamin from Geba dwelt at Michmash, and Aija, and Bethel,
and in their villages,
16-12:9 Also Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, were over against them in the watches.
16-12:10 And Jeshua
begat Joiakim, Joiakim also begat Eliashib, and
Eliashib begat Joiada,
16-12:22 The
Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were recorded chief of the fathers: also
the priests, to the reign of Darius the Persian.
16-12:29 Also from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields
of Geba and Azmaveth: for the
singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem.
16-12:43 Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and
rejoiced: for God had made them
rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
16-13:15 In those
days saw I in Judah some treading
wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought
into Jerusalem on the sabbath day:
and I testified against them in the
day wherein they sold victuals.
16-13:16 There
dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought
fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of
Judah, and in Jerusalem.
16-13:22 And I
commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the
sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning
this also, and spare me according to the
greatness of thy mercy.
16-13:23 In those
days also saw I Jews that had married wives of Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab:
17-1:9 Also Vashti the queen made a feast for the women in the royal house which belonged to king Ahasuerus.
17-1:16 And Memucan
answered before the king and the princes, Vashti the queen hath not done wrong
to the king only, but also to all the princes,
and to all the people that are in all
the provinces of the king Ahasuerus.
17-2:8 So it
came to pass, when the king’s commandment and his decree was heard, and when
many maidens were gathered together unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of
Hegai, that Esther was brought also unto the
king’s house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.
17-3:11 And the
king said unto Haman, The silver is given
to thee, the people also, to do with them as it
seemeth good to thee.
17-4:8 Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree
that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew it unto Esther, and to declare it
unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make
supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.
17-4:16 Go,
gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me,
and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast
likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law:
and if I perish, I perish.
17-5:12 Haman
said moreover, Yea, Esther the queen did let no man come in with the king unto the
banquet that she had prepared but myself; and to morrow am I invited unto her also with the king.
17-7:8 Then the
king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and
Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of
the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face.
17-7:9 And
Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had
made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of
Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.
17-8:8 Write ye
also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in the
king’s name, and seal it with the
king’s ring: for the writing which
is written in the king’s name, and sealed with the king’s ring, may no man
reverse.
17-9:13 Then said
Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews which are in Shushan to do to morrow also according unto this day’s decree, and let Haman’s
ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.
17-9:15 For the
Jews that were in Shushan gathered
themselves together on the fourteenth day also
of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but on the prey they
laid not their hand.
18-1:3 His
substance also was seven thousand sheep, and
three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she
asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the
men of the east.
18-1:6 Now
there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the
LORD, and Satan came also among them.
18-1:16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from
heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and
I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
18-1:17 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three
bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the
servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
18-1:18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their
eldest brother’s house:
18-2:1 Again
there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the
LORD, and Satan came also among them to present
himself before the LORD.
18-5:25 Thou
shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as
the grass of the earth.
18-7:1 Is there not an appointed time to man
upon earth? are not his days also like the days of an hireling?
18-9:11 Lo, he
goeth by me, and I see him not: he passeth on also, but I perceive him not.
18-9:20 If I
justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.
18-11:11 For he
knoweth vain men: he seeth
wickedness also; will he not then consider it?
18-11:19 Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit
unto thee.
18-12:15 Behold, he
withholdeth the waters, and they dry up:
also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the
earth.
18-13:2 What ye
know, the same do I know also: I am not inferior unto you.
18-13:16 He also shall be my
salvation: for an hypocrite shall
not come before him.
18-13:27 Thou
puttest my feet also in the stocks, and lookest
narrowly unto all my paths; thou settest a print upon the heels of my feet.
18-14:2 He cometh
forth like a flower, and is cut down:
he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.
18-16:4 I also could speak as ye do: if your soul were in
my soul’s stead, I could heap up words against you, and shake mine head at you.
18-16:12 I was at
ease, but he hath broken me asunder:
he hath also taken me by my neck, and shaken me to pieces, and set me up for his mark.
18-16:17 Not for any injustice in mine hands: also
my prayer is pure.
18-16:19 Also now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is
on high.
18-17:6 He hath
made me also a byword of the people; and
aforetime I was as a tabret.
18-17:7 Mine eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members are as a shadow.
18-17:9 The
righteous also shall hold on his way, and he
that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
18-19:11 He hath also kindled his wrath against me, and he counteth me
unto him as one of his enemies.
18-20:9 The eye also which saw
him shall see him no more; neither
shall his place any more behold him.
18-22:28 Thou shalt
also decree a thing, and it shall be established
unto thee: and the light shall shine
upon thy ways.
18-24:15 The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight,
saying, No eye shall see me: and
disguiseth his face.
18-24:22 He draweth
also the mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no man is sure of life.
18-30:11 Because he
hath loosed my cord, and afflicted me, they have also
let loose the bridle before me.
18-30:31 My harp also is turned to
mourning, and my organ into the voice of them that weep.
18-31:28 This also were an
iniquity to be punished by the judge: for I should have denied the God that is above.
18-32:3 Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled,
because they had found no answer, and yet
had condemned Job.
18-32:10 Therefore
I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine
opinion.
18-32:17 I said, I will answer also my part, I also
will shew mine opinion.
18-33:6 Behold, I
am according to thy wish in God’s
stead: I also
am formed out of the clay.
18-33:19 He is
chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the
multitude of his bones with strong pain:
18-36:1 Elihu also proceeded, and said,
18-36:10 He openeth
also their ear to discipline, and commandeth
that they return from iniquity.
18-36:29 Also can any understand
the spreadings of the clouds, or the
noise of his tabernacle?
18-36:33 The noise
thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle also
concerning the vapour.
18-37:1 At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his
place.
18-37:11 Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:
18-39:30 Her young
ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there
is she.
18-40:8 Wilt thou
also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me,
that thou mayest be righteous?
18-40:14 Then will
I also confess unto thee that thine own right
hand can save thee.
18-42:9 So
Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and
Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also
accepted Job.
18-42:10 And the
LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also
the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
18-42:11 Then came
there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had
been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted
him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of
money, and every one an earring of gold.
18-42:13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.
19-1:3 And he
shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his
fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not
wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
19-5:11 But let
all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also
that love thy name be joyful in thee.
19-6:3 My soul
is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?
19-7:13 He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he
ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.
19-9:9 The LORD
also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a
refuge in times of trouble.
19-16:7 I will
bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel:
my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
19-16:9 Therefore
my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth:
my flesh also shall rest in hope.
19-18:7 Then the
earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of
the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
19-18:9 He bowed
the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.
19-18:13 The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave
his voice; hail stones and coals of
fire.
19-18:19 He brought
me forth also into a large place; he delivered
me, because he delighted in me.
19-18:23 I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine
iniquity.
19-18:35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up,
and thy gentleness hath made me great.
19-18:40 Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might
destroy them that hate me.
19-19:10 More to be
desired are they than gold, yea, than
much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
19-19:13 Keep back
thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall
be innocent from the great transgression.
19-26:1 Judge me,
O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity:
I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.
19-27:7 Hear, O
LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also
upon me, and answer me.
19-28:9 Save thy
people, and bless thine inheritance:
feed them also, and lift them up for ever.
19-29:6 He maketh
them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and
Sirion like a young unicorn.
19-35:3 Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy
salvation.
19-37:4 Delight
thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee
the desires of thine heart.
19-37:5 Commit
thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he
shall bring it to pass.
19-38:10 My heart
panteth, my strength faileth me: as
for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from
me.
19-38:12 They also that seek after my life lay snares for me:
and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits
all the day long.
19-38:20 They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries;
because I follow the thing that good is.
19-40:2 He
brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out
of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
19-45:10 Hearken, O
daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also
thine own people, and thy father’s house;
19-52:6 The
righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall
laugh at him:
19-55:10 Day and
night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.
19-60:7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of
mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;
19-62:12 Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for
thou renderest to every man according to his work.
19-65:8 They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at
thy tokens: thou makest the
outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.
19-65:13 The
pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also
are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also
sing.
19-68:1 Let God
arise, let his enemies be scattered:
let them also that hate him flee before him.
19-68:8 The earth
shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence
of God: even Sinai itself was moved at
the presence of God, the God of Israel.
19-68:18 Thou hast
ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the
LORD God might dwell among them.
19-69:11 I made
sackcloth also my garment; and I became a
proverb to them.
19-69:21 They gave
me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they
gave me vinegar to drink.
19-69:31 This also
shall please the LORD better than an ox or
bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
19-69:36 The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall
dwell therein.
19-71:18 Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me
not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this
generation, and thy power to
every one that is to come.
19-71:19 Thy
righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto
thee!
19-71:22 I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp,
O thou Holy One of Israel.
19-71:24 My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are
brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.
19-72:8 He shall
have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the
river unto the ends of the earth.
19-72:12 For he
shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also,
and him that hath no helper.
19-72:15 And he
shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him
continually; and daily shall he be
praised.
19-74:16 The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the
sun.
19-75:10 All the
horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be
exalted.
19-76:2 In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in
Zion.
19-77:12 I will
meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy
doings.
19-77:16 The waters
saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled.
19-77:17 The clouds
poured out water: the skies sent out
a sound: thine arrows also went abroad.
19-78:14 In the
daytime also he led them with a cloud, and all
the night with a light of fire.
19-78:16 He brought
streams also out of the rock, and caused waters
to run down like rivers.
19-78:20 Behold, he
smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he
give bread also? can he provide flesh for his
people?
19-78:21 Therefore
the LORD heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob,
and anger also came up against Israel;
19-78:27 He rained
flesh also upon them as dust, and feathered
fowls like as the sand of the sea:
19-78:46 He gave also their increase unto the caterpillar, and their
labour unto the locust.
19-78:48 He gave up
their cattle also to the hail, and their flocks
to hot thunderbolts.
19-78:55 He cast
out the heathen also before them, and divided
them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their
tents.
19-78:62 He gave
his people over also unto the sword; and was
wroth with his inheritance.
19-78:70 He chose
David also his servant, and took him from the
sheepfolds:
19-81:16 He should
have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should
I have satisfied thee.
19-83:8 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
19-84:6 Who passing through the valley of Baca
make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
19-89:5 And the
heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD:
thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the
saints.
19-89:11 The
heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as
for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
19-89:21 With whom
my hand shall be established: mine
arm also shall strengthen him.
19-89:25 I will set
his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in
the rivers.
19-89:27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
19-89:29 His seed also will I make to
endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
19-89:43 Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made
him to stand in the battle.
19-92:11 Mine eye also shall see my
desire on mine enemies, and mine
ears shall hear my desire of the
wicked that rise up against me.
19-93:1 The LORD
reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also
is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
19-95:4 In his
hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
19-96:10 Say among
the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also
shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
19-99:4 The
king’s strength also loveth judgment; thou dost
establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.
19-105:23 Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land
of Ham.
19-105:33 He smote
their vines also and their fig trees; and brake
the trees of their coasts.
19-105:36 He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all
their strength.
19-105:37 He brought
them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person
among their tribes.
19-106:9 He rebuked
the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as
through the wilderness.
19-106:16 They envied
Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the saint of the LORD.
19-106:27 To
overthrow their seed also among the nations, and
to scatter them in the lands.
19-106:28 They joined
themselves also unto Baalpeor, and ate the
sacrifices of the dead.
19-106:32 They
angered him also
at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:
19-106:42 Their
enemies also oppressed them, and they were
brought into subjection under their hand.
19-106:46 He made
them also to be pitied of all those that carried
them captives.
19-107:32 Let them
exalt him also in the congregation of the
people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
19-107:38 He blesseth
them also, so that they are multiplied greatly;
and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
19-108:8 Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;
19-109:3 They
compassed me about also with words of hatred;
and fought against me without a cause.
19-109:10 Let his
children be continually vagabonds, and beg:
let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.
19-109:25 I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon
me they shaked their heads.
19-119:3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
19-119:23 Princes also did sit and
speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy
statutes.
19-119:24 Thy
testimonies also are my delight and my
counsellors.
19-119:41 VAU.
Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy
word.
19-119:46 I will
speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and
will not be ashamed.
19-119:48 My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I
have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.
19-132:12 If thy
children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their
children shall also sit upon thy throne for
evermore.
19-132:16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for
joy.
19-139:17 How
precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God!
how great is the sum of them!
19-141:5 Let the
righteous smite me; it shall be a
kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in
their calamities.
19-145:19 He will
fulfil the desire of them that fear him:
he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
19-148:6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not
pass.
19-148:14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of
all his saints; even of the children
of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.
20-1:26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when
your fear cometh;
20-4:4 He
taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine
heart retain my words: keep my
commandments, and live.
20-9:2 She hath
killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also
furnished her table.
20-11:25 The
liberal soul shall be made fat: and
he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
20-17:26 Also to punish the just is not good, nor to
strike princes for equity.
20-18:3 When the
wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.
20-18:9 He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him
that is a great waster.
20-19:2 Also, that the
soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with
his feet sinneth.
20-21:13 Whoso
stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also
shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
20-23:23 Buy the
truth, and sell it not; also wisdom,
and instruction, and understanding.
20-23:28 She also lieth in wait as for a prey, and increaseth the transgressors among men.
20-24:23 These things also
belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of
persons in judgment.
20-25:1 These are also
proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.
20-26:4 Answer
not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also
be like unto him.
20-28:16 The prince
that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth
covetousness shall prolong his days.
20-30:31 A
greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against
whom there is no rising up.
20-31:15 She riseth
also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her
household, and a portion to her maidens.
20-31:28 Her
children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
21-1:5 The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to
his place where he arose.
21-1:17 And I
gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is
vexation of spirit.
21-2:1 I said
in mine heart, Go to now, I will prove thee with mirth, therefore enjoy
pleasure: and, behold, this also is vanity.
21-2:7 I got me servants and maidens, and had
servants born in my house; also I had great
possessions of great and small cattle above all that were in Jerusalem before
me:
21-2:8 I
gathered me also silver and gold, and the peculiar
treasure of kings and of the provinces:
I gat me men singers and women singers, and the delights of the sons of men, as musical instruments, and that of all
sorts.
21-2:9 So I was
great, and increased more than all that were before me in Jerusalem: also
my wisdom remained with me.
21-2:14 The wise
man’s eyes are in his head; but the
fool walketh in darkness: and I
myself perceived also that one event happeneth
to them all.
21-2:15 Then said
I in my heart, As it happeneth to the fool, so it happeneth even to me; and why
was I then more wise? Then I said in my heart, that this also is vanity.
21-2:19 And who
knoweth whether he shall be a wise man or
a fool? yet shall he have rule over all my labour wherein I have laboured, and
wherein I have shewed myself wise under the sun. This is also vanity.
21-2:21 For there
is a man whose labour is in wisdom,
and in knowledge, and in equity; yet to a man that hath not laboured therein
shall he leave it for his portion.
This also is
vanity and a great evil.
21-2:23 For all
his days are sorrows, and his travail
grief; yea, his heart taketh not rest in the night. This is also vanity.
21-2:24 There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good
in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.
21-2:26 For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and
knowledge, and joy: but to the
sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity
and vexation of spirit.
21-3:11 He hath
made every thing beautiful in his
time: also
he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that
God maketh from the beginning to the end.
21-3:13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy
the good of all his labour, it is the
gift of God.
21-4:4 Again, I
considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of
his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
21-4:8 There is
one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied
with riches; neither saith he, For
whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail.
21-4:14 For out
of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh
poor.
21-4:16 There is no end of all the people, even of all that have been before them: they also
that come after shall not rejoice in him. Surely this also
is vanity and vexation of spirit.
21-5:7 For in
the multitude of dreams and many words there
are also divers
vanities: but fear thou God.
21-5:10 He that
loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance
with increase: this is also
vanity.
21-5:16 And this also is a
sore evil, that in all points as he
came, so shall he go: and what
profit hath he that hath laboured for the wind?
21-5:17 All his
days also he eateth in darkness, and he hath much sorrow and wrath with his
sickness.
21-5:19 Every man
also to whom God hath given riches and wealth,
and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to
rejoice in his labour; this is the
gift of God.
21-6:3 If a man
beget an hundred children, and live many
years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with
good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that
an untimely birth is better than
he.
21-6:9 Better is the sight of the eyes than the
wandering of the desire: this is also
vanity and vexation of spirit.
21-7:6 For as
the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is
the laughter of the fool: this also is vanity.
21-7:14 In the
day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also
hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find
nothing after him.
21-7:18 It is good that thou shouldest take hold
of this; yea, also from this withdraw not thine
hand: for he that feareth God shall
come forth of them all.
21-7:21 Also take no heed unto all words that are spoken; lest
thou hear thy servant curse thee:
21-7:22 For
oftentimes also thine own heart knoweth that
thou thyself likewise hast cursed others.
21-8:10 And so I
saw the wicked buried, who had come and gone from the place of the holy, and
they were forgotten in the city where they had so done: this is also vanity.
21-8:14 There is
a vanity which is done upon the earth; that there be just men, unto whom it happeneth according to the work of the wicked;
again, there be wicked men, to whom
it happeneth according to the work of the righteous: I said that this also is vanity.
21-8:16 When I
applied mine heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done upon
the earth: (for also there is
that neither day nor night seeth sleep with his eyes:)
21-9:3 This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that
there is one event unto all: yea, also
the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.
21-9:6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is
now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.
21-9:12 For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds
that are caught in the snare; so are the
sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.
21-9:13 This
wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me:
21-10:3 Yea also, when he that is a fool walketh by the way, his
wisdom faileth him, and he saith to
every one that he is a fool.
21-10:14 A fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be after him, who
can tell him?
21-11:2 Give a portion
to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest
not what evil shall be upon the earth.
21-12:5 Also when they
shall be afraid of that which is high,
and fears shall be in the way, and the
almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire
shall fail: because man goeth to his
long home, and the mourners go about the streets:
22-1:16 Behold, thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed is green.
22-7:8 I said, I will go up to the palm
tree, I will take hold of the boughs thereof: now also thy breasts shall be as
clusters of the vine, and the smell of thy nose like apples;
23-2:7 Their
land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures;
their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:
23-2:8 Their
land also is full of idols; they worship the
work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:
23-5:2 And he
fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the
choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought
forth wild grapes.
23-5:6 And I
will lay it waste: it shall not be
pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also
command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.
23-6:1 In the
year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord
sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
23-6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall
I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
23-7:13 And he
said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is
it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?
23-7:20 In the same
day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired, namely, by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head,
and the hair of the feet: and it
shall also consume the beard.
23-8:5 The LORD
spake also unto me again, saying,
23-11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall
lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling
together; and a little child shall lead them.
23-11:13 The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of
Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim
shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.
23-12:2 Behold,
God is my salvation; I will trust,
and not be afraid: for the LORD
JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also
is become my salvation.
23-13:3 I have
commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called
my mighty ones for mine anger, even them
that rejoice in my highness.
23-13:16 Their
children also shall be dashed to pieces before
their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.
23-13:18 Their bows also
shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of
the womb; their eye shall not spare children.
23-14:10 All they
shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also
become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?
23-14:13 For thou
hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne
above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides
of the north:
23-14:23 I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools
of water: and I will sweep it with
the besom of destruction, saith the LORD of hosts.
23-17:3 The
fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the
kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the
LORD of hosts.
23-19:8 The
fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast
angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters
shall languish.
23-19:13 The
princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof.
23-21:12 The
watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the
night: if ye will enquire, enquire
ye: return, come.
23-22:9 Ye have
seen also the breaches of the city of David,
that they are many: and ye gathered
together the waters of the lower pool.
23-22:11 Ye made also a ditch between the two walls for the water of
the old pool: but ye have not looked
unto the maker thereof, neither had respect unto him that fashioned it long
ago.
23-23:12 And he
said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin, daughter of Zidon: arise, pass over to Chittim; there also shalt thou have no rest.
23-24:5 The earth
also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because
they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting
covenant.
23-26:12 LORD, thou
wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.
23-26:21 For,
behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth
for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover
her slain.
23-28:7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink
are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink,
they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink;
they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
23-28:17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the
plummet: and the hail shall sweep
away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
23-28:29 This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.
23-29:19 The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the
Holy One of Israel.
23-29:24 They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding,
and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.
23-30:5 They were
all ashamed of a people that could
not profit them, nor be an help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.
23-30:22 Ye shall
defile also the covering of thy graven images of
silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say
unto it, Get thee hence.
23-31:2 Yet he also is wise,
and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against
the help of them that work iniquity.
23-31:5 As birds
flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.
23-32:4 The heart
also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and
the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
23-32:7 The
instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words,
even when the needy speaketh right.
23-33:2 O LORD, be
gracious unto us; we have waited for thee:
be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also
in the time of trouble.
23-34:3 Their
slain also shall be cast out, and their stink
shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with
their blood.
23-34:11 But the
cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also
and the raven shall dwell in it: and
he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of
emptiness.
23-34:14 The wild
beasts of the desert shall also meet with the
wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech
owl also shall rest there, and find for herself
a place of rest.
23-34:15 There
shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her
shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate.
23-38:22 Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the LORD?
23-40:24 Yea, they
shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also
blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away
as stubble.
23-44:19 And none
considereth in his heart, neither is there
knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire;
yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals
thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue
thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?
23-45:16 They shall
be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols.
23-46:11 Calling a
ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far
country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also
bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I
will also do it.
23-48:12 Hearken
unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am
he; I am the first, I also am the
last.
23-48:13 Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my
right hand hath spanned the heavens:
when I call unto them, they stand up
together.
23-48:19 Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy
bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor
destroyed from before me.
23-48:21 And they
thirsted not when he led them through
the deserts: he caused the waters to
flow out of the rock for them: he
clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.
23-49:6 And he
said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the
tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light
to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
23-49:7 Thus
saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and
his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth,
to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is
faithful, and the Holy One of Israel,
and he shall choose thee.
23-56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to
the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every
one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
23-57:8 Behind
the doors also and the posts hast thou set up
thy remembrance: for thou hast
discovered thyself to another than me,
and art gone up; thou hast enlarged thy bed, and made thee a covenant with them; thou lovedst their bed where thou sawest it.
23-57:15 For thus
saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also
that is of a contrite and humble
spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the
contrite ones.
23-57:18 I have
seen his ways, and will heal him: I
will lead him also, and restore comforts unto
him and to his mourners.
23-60:14 The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending
unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the
soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of
the Holy One of Israel.
23-60:16 Thou shalt
also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt
suck the breast of kings: and thou
shalt know that I the LORD am thy
Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
23-60:17 For brass
I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and
for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors
righteousness.
23-60:21 Thy people
also shall
be all righteous: they shall
inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands,
that I may be glorified.
23-62:3 Thou
shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of
the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
23-66:4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their
fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did
not hear: but they did evil before
mine eyes, and chose that in which I
delighted not.
23-66:21 And I will
also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.
24-1:3 It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king
of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah king
of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.
24-2:8 The
priests said not, Where is the LORD?
and they that handle the law knew me not:
the pastors also transgressed against me, and
the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.
24-2:16 Also the children of Noph and Tahapanes have broken
the crown of thy head.
24-2:33 Why
trimmest thou thy way to seek love? therefore hast thou also taught the wicked ones thy ways.
24-2:34 Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of
the poor innocents: I have not found
it by secret search, but upon all these.
24-2:36 Why
gaddest thou about so much to change thy way? thou also
shalt be ashamed of Egypt, as thou wast ashamed of Assyria.
24-3:6 The LORD
said also unto me in the days of Josiah the
king, Hast thou seen that which
backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under
every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.
24-3:8 And I
saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I
had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister
Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
24-4:12 Even a full wind from those places shall come unto me: now also
will I give sentence against them.
24-6:14 They have
healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
24-6:17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will
not hearken.
24-7:27 Therefore
thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also
call unto them; but they will not answer thee.
24-9:16 I will
scatter them also among the heathen, whom
neither they nor their fathers have known:
and I will send a sword after them, till I have consumed them.
24-10:5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak
not: they must needs be borne,
because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither
also is it
in them to do good.
24-13:23 Can the
Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are
accustomed to do evil.
24-14:5 Yea, the
hind also calved in the field, and forsook it, because there was no grass.
24-16:1 The word
of the LORD came also unto me, saying,
24-16:8 Thou
shalt not also go into the house of feasting, to
sit with them to eat and to drink.
24-19:5 They have
built also the high places of Baal, to burn
their sons with fire for burnt
offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into
my mind:
24-20:1 Now
Pashur the son of Immer the priest, who was
also chief governor in the house of the
LORD, heard that Jeremiah prophesied these things.
24-23:14 I have
seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an
horrible thing: they commit
adultery, and walk in lies: they
strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that
none doth return from his wickedness:
they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.
24-25:14 For many
nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according
to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.
24-26:20 And there
was also a man that prophesied in the name of
the LORD, Urijah the son of Shemaiah of Kirjathjearim, who prophesied against
this city and against this land according to all the words of Jeremiah:
24-27:6 And now
have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of
Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.
24-27:12 I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these
words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and
serve him and his people, and live.
24-27:16 Also I spake to the priests and to all this people,
saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that
prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD’S house shall now
shortly be brought again from Babylon:
for they prophesy a lie unto you.
24-28:14 For thus saith
the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck
of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and
they shall serve him: and I have
given him the beasts of the field also.
24-29:24 Thus shalt thou also
speak to Shemaiah the Nehelamite, saying,
24-30:19 And out of
them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they
shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and
they shall not be small.
24-30:20 Their
children also shall be as aforetime, and their
congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress
them.
24-31:36 If those
ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall
cease from being a nation before me for ever.
24-31:37 Thus saith
the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth
searched out beneath, I will also cast off all
the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.
24-33:21 Then may also
my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to
reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
24-35:15 I have
sent also unto you all my servants the prophets,
rising up early and sending them, saying,
Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not
after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have
given to you and to your fathers:
but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.
24-36:6 Therefore
go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words
of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD’S house upon the fasting day: and also
thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.
24-38:25 But if the
princes hear that I have talked with thee, and they come unto thee, and say
unto thee, Declare unto us now what thou hast said unto the king, hide it not
from us, and we will not put thee to death; also
what the king said unto thee:
24-39:6 Then the
king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes: also
the king of Babylon slew all the nobles of Judah.
24-40:5 Now while
he was not yet gone back, he said, Go
back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son
of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of
Judah, and dwell with him among the people:
or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the
guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go.
24-41:3 Ishmael also slew all the Jews that were with him, even with Gedaliah, at Mizpah, and the
Chaldeans that were found there, and the
men of war.
24-43:13 He shall
break also the images of Bethshemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses
of the gods of the Egyptians shall he burn with fire.
24-46:21 Also her hired men are
in the midst of her like fatted bullocks; for they also
are turned back, and are fled away
together: they did not stand,
because the day of their calamity was come upon them, and the time of their visitation.
24-48:2 There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil
against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou shalt be
cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.
24-48:7 For
because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken:
and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity with
his priests and his princes together.
24-48:8 And the
spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also
shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the LORD hath spoken.
24-48:26 Make ye
him drunken: for he magnified himself against the LORD: Moab also
shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in
derision.
24-48:34 From the
cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, and even unto Jahaz, have they uttered
their voice, from Zoar even unto
Horonaim, as an heifer of three years
old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.
24-49:17 Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at
all the plagues thereof.
24-50:24 I have
laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken,
O Babylon, and thou wast not aware:
thou art found, and also caught, because thou
hast striven against the LORD.
24-51:22 With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with
thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces
the young man and the maid;
24-51:23 I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his
flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of
oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers.
24-52:10 And the
king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he slew also all the princes of
Judah in Riblah.
24-52:17 Also the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brasen sea
that was in the house of the LORD,
the Chaldeans brake, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.
24-52:18 The
caldrons also, and the shovels, and the
snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith
they ministered, took they away.
24-52:22 And a
chapiter of brass was upon it; and
the height of one chapiter was five
cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the chapiters round about, all of brass. The second pillar also and the pomegranates were like unto these.
24-52:25 He took also out of the city an eunuch, which had the charge
of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king’s person, which
were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who mustered the
people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were
found in the midst of the city.
25-2:9 Her
gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.
25-3:8 Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer.
25-3:16 He hath also broken my teeth with gravel stones, he hath
covered me with ashes.
25-4:21 Rejoice
and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto thee: thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked.
26-1:5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the
likeness of a man.
26-1:10 As for
the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a
lion, on the right side: and they
four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also
had the face of an eagle.
26-3:13 I heard also
the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the
noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a great rushing.
26-3:21 Nevertheless
if thou warn the righteous man, that
the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is
warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.
26-4:1 Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before
thee, and pourtray upon it the city, even
Jerusalem:
26-4:2 And lay
siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set
the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about.
26-4:4 Lie thou
also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of
the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that
thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.
26-4:9 Take
thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and
beans, and lentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and
make thee bread thereof, according to
the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and
ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.
26-4:11 Thou
shalt drink also water by measure, the sixth
part of an hin: from time to time
shalt thou drink.
26-5:3 Thou
shalt also take thereof a few in number, and
bind them in thy skirts.
26-5:11 Wherefore,
as I live, saith the Lord GOD;
Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things,
and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also
diminish thee; neither shall mine eye
spare, neither will I have any pity.
26-7:2 Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD unto
the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.
26-7:18 They
shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness
upon all their heads.
26-7:22 My face
will I turn also from them, and they shall
pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into
it, and defile it.
26-7:24 Wherefore
I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also
make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.
26-8:13 He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations
that they do.
26-8:18 Therefore
will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with
a loud voice, yet will I not hear
them.
26-9:1 He cried
also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying,
Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.
26-9:10 And as
for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither
will I have pity, but I will
recompense their way upon their head.
26-10:16 And when
the cherubims went, the wheels went by them:
and when the cherubims lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the
same wheels also turned not from beside them.
26-10:17 When they
stood, these stood; and when they
were lifted up, these lifted up
themselves also: for the spirit of the living
creature was in them.
26-10:19 And the
cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside
them, and every one stood at the door
of the east gate of the LORD’S house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
26-12:1 The word
of the LORD also came unto me, saying,
26-12:13 My net also will I spread upon him, and he shall be taken in
my snare: and I will bring him to
Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans;
yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there.
26-13:21 Your
kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my
people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted;
and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
26-16:10 I clothed
thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with
badgers’ skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with
silk.
26-16:11 I decked
thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets
upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.
26-16:17 Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my
silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst
commit whoredom with them,
26-16:19 My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and
honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou
hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith
the Lord GOD.
26-16:24 That thou hast also
built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee an high place in every
street.
26-16:26 Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy
neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to
anger.
26-16:28 Thou hast
played the whore also with the Assyrians,
because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and
yet couldest not be satisfied.
26-16:39 And I will
also give thee into their hand, and they shall
throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels,
and leave thee naked and bare.
26-16:40 They shall
also bring up a company against thee, and they
shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.
26-16:41 And they
shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight
of many women: and I will cause thee
to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also
shalt give no hire any more.
26-16:43 Because
thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all
these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord GOD:
and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations.
26-16:52 Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own
shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou: yea, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified
thy sisters.
26-17:5 He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a
fruitful field; he placed it by great
waters, and set it as a willow tree.
26-17:7 There was
also another great eagle with great wings and
many feathers: and, behold, this
vine did bend her roots toward him, and shot forth her branches toward him,
that he might water it by the furrows of her plantation.
26-17:13 And hath
taken of the king’s seed, and made a covenant with him, and hath taken an oath
of him: he hath also taken the mighty of the land:
26-17:22 Thus saith
the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest
branch of the high cedar, and will set it;
I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will
plant it upon an high mountain and
eminent:
26-18:4 Behold,
all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also
the soul of the son is mine: the
soul that sinneth, it shall die.
26-19:4 The
nations also heard of him; he was taken in their
pit, and they brought him with chains unto the land of Egypt.
26-20:12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me
and them, that they might know that I am the
LORD that sanctify them.
26-20:15 Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness,
that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which
is the glory of all lands;
26-20:23 I lifted up
mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that
I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the
countries;
26-20:25 Wherefore
I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;
26-20:28 For when I had brought them into the
land, for the which I lifted up mine
hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick
trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the
provocation of their offering: there
also they made their sweet savour, and poured
out there their drink offerings.
26-20:39 As for
you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every one his
idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more
with your gifts, and with your idols.
26-21:9 Son of
man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD; Say, A sword, a sword is
sharpened, and also furbished:
26-21:17 I will also smite mine hands together, and I will cause my
fury to rest: I the LORD have said it.
26-21:19 Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the
sword of the king of Babylon may come:
both twain shall come forth out of one land:
and choose thou a place, choose it at
the head of the way to the city.
26-23:26 They shall
also strip thee out of thy clothes, and take
away thy fair jewels.
26-23:35 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy
back, therefore bear thou also thy lewdness and
thy whoredoms.
26-23:37 That they
have committed adultery, and blood is in
their hands, and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have also caused their sons, whom they bare unto me, to
pass for them through the fire, to
devour them.
26-24:3 And utter
a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord
GOD; Set on a pot, set it on, and also pour water into it:
26-24:5 Take the
choice of the flock, and burn also the bones
under it, and make it boil well, and
let them seethe the bones of it therein.
26-24:15 Also the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
26-24:25 Also, thou son of man, shall it not be in the
day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of
their eyes, and that whereupon they set their minds, their sons and their
daughters,
26-25:13 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also stretch out
mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it
desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword.
26-26:4 And they
shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her,
and make her like the top of a rock.
26-27:19 Dan also and Javan going to and fro occupied in thy fairs: bright iron, cassia, and calamus,
were in thy market.
26-30:6 Thus
saith the LORD; They also that uphold Egypt
shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith
the Lord GOD.
26-30:10 Thus saith
the Lord GOD; I will also make the multitude of
Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.
26-30:13 Thus saith
the Lord GOD; I will also destroy the idols, and
I will cause their images to cease out
of Noph; and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of
Egypt.
26-30:18 At
Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when
I shall break there the yokes of Egypt:
and the pomp of her strength shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go
into captivity.
26-31:17 They also went down into hell with him unto them that be slain with the sword; and they that were his arm, that dwelt under his shadow in the midst
of the heathen.
26-32:6 I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thou
swimmest, even to the mountains; and
the rivers shall be full of thee.
26-32:9 I will also vex the hearts of many people, when I shall bring
thy destruction among the nations, into the countries which thou hast not
known.
26-32:13 I will
destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside
the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the
hoofs of beasts trouble them.
26-32:17 It came to
pass also in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
26-33:30 Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people
still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and
speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and
hear what is the word that cometh forth from the LORD.
26-36:1 Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of
Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD:
26-36:26 A new
heart also will I give you, and a new spirit
will I put within you: and I will
take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of
flesh.
26-36:29 I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and
will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.
26-36:33 Thus saith
the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your
iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the
wastes shall be builded.
26-37:24 And David
my servant shall be king over them;
and they all shall have one shepherd:
they shall also walk in my judgments, and
observe my statutes, and do them.
26-37:27 My
tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall
be my people.
26-38:10 Thus saith
the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come
into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
26-39:16 And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.
26-40:8 He
measured also the porch of the gate within, one
reed.
26-40:12 The space also before the little chambers was one cubit on this side, and
the space was one cubit on that side: and the little chambers were six cubits on this side, and six
cubits on that side.
26-40:14 He made also posts of threescore cubits, even unto the post of
the court round about the gate.
26-40:42 And the
four tables were of hewn stone for
the burnt offering, of a cubit and an half long, and a cubit and an half broad,
and one cubit high: whereupon also they laid the instruments wherewith they slew the
burnt offering and the sacrifice.
26-41:8 I saw also the height of the house round about: the foundations of the side chambers were a full reed of six great cubits.
26-41:14 Also the breadth of the face of the house, and of the
separate place toward the east, an hundred cubits.
26-43:21 Thou shalt
take the bullock also of the sin offering, and
he shall burn it in the appointed place of the house, without the sanctuary.
26-43:25 Seven days
shalt thou prepare every day a goat for a
sin offering: they shall also prepare a young bullock, and a ram out of the
flock, without blemish.
26-44:30 And the
first of all the firstfruits of all things,
and every oblation of all, of every sort
of your oblations, shall be the priest’s: ye shall also give unto the priest
the first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in thine house.
26-45:5 And the
five and twenty thousand of length, and the ten thousand of breadth, shall also the Levites, the ministers of the house, have for
themselves, for a possession for twenty chambers.
26-47:20 The west
side also shall
be the great sea from the border, till a man come over against Hamath. This
is the west side.
27-6:22 My God
hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt
me: forasmuch as before him
innocency was found in me; and also before thee,
O king, have I done no hurt.
27-7:6 After
this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it
four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four
heads; and dominion was given to it.
27-8:25 And
through his policy also he shall cause craft to
prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself
in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the
Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
27-10:6 His body also was like
the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps
of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the
voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
27-11:1 Also I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to
strengthen him.
27-11:8 And shall
also carry captives into Egypt their gods, with
their princes, and with their
precious vessels of silver and of gold; and he shall continue more years than the king of the north.
27-11:14 And in
those times there shall many stand up against the king of the south: also
the robbers of thy people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; but
they shall fall.
27-11:17 He shall also set his face to enter with the strength of his
whole kingdom, and upright ones with him; thus shall he do: and he shall give him the daughter of women, corrupting her: but she shall not stand on his side, neither be for him.
27-11:22 And with
the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be
broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.
27-11:41 He shall
enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his
hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the
chief of the children of Ammon.
27-11:42 He shall
stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not
escape.
28-2:11 I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her
new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.
28-3:3 And I
said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the
harlot, and thou shalt not be for another
man: so will I also be for thee.
28-4:3 Therefore
shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the
beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
28-4:5 Therefore
shalt thou fall in the day, and the prophet also
shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother.
28-4:6 My
people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:
because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also
reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
28-5:5 And the
pride of Israel doth testify to his face:
therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them.
28-6:11 Also, O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I
returned the captivity of my people.
28-7:11 Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to
Assyria.
28-8:6 For from
Israel was it also: the workman made
it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be
broken in pieces.
28-9:12 Though
they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a
man left: yea, woe also to them when I
depart from them!
28-10:6 It shall
be also carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb: Ephraim shall receive shame, and
Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.
28-10:8 The high
places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be
destroyed: the thorn and the thistle
shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us;
and to the hills, Fall on us.
28-11:3 I taught
Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms;
but they knew not that I healed them.
28-12:2 The LORD
hath also a controversy with Judah, and will
punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense
him.
28-12:10 I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied
visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.
29-1:12 The vine
is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.
29-1:20 The
beasts of the field cry also unto thee: for the rivers of waters are dried up,
and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
29-2:12 Therefore
also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with
fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
29-2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those
days will I pour out my spirit.
29-3:2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into
the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have
scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
29-3:6 The
children also of Judah and the children of
Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from
their border.
29-3:16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from
Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the
hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
30-1:5 I will
break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the
inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the
house of Eden: and the people of
Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the LORD.
30-2:10 Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led
you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.
30-3:14 That in
the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel upon him I will also visit the altars of Bethel: and the horns of the altar shall be cut off, and fall to the
ground.
30-4:6 And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your
cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
30-4:7 And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the
harvest: and I caused it to rain
upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not
withered.
30-7:6 The LORD
repented for this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord GOD.
30-7:12 Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee
thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:
30-9:14 And I
will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the
waste cities, and inhabit them; and
they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
32-4:11 And
should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand
persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much
cattle?
33-3:3 Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from
off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot,
and as flesh within the caldron.
33-4:11 Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say,
Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion.
33-5:13 Thy
graven images also will I cut off, and thy
standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the
work of thine hands.
33-6:13 Therefore
also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate because of thy sins.
33-7:12 In that day also he shall come even to thee from
Assyria, and from the fortified
cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.
34-3:10 Yet was she carried away, she went into
captivity: her young children also were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they cast lots for her honourable
men, and all her great men were bound in chains.
34-3:11 Thou also shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid, thou also shalt
seek strength because of the enemy.
35-1:8 Their
horses also are swifter than the leopards, and
are more fierce than the evening wolves:
and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from
far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth
to eat.
35-2:5 Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at
home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is
as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and
heapeth unto him all people:
35-2:15 Woe unto
him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest
look on their nakedness!
35-2:16 Thou art
filled with shame for glory: drink
thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD’S right hand
shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory.
36-1:4 I will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all
the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this
place, and the name of the Chemarims
with the priests;
36-1:9 In the
same day also will I punish all those that leap
on the threshold, which fill their masters’ houses with violence and deceit.
36-1:13 Therefore
their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall also
build houses, but not inhabit them; and
they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the wine thereof.
36-2:12 Ye
Ethiopians also, ye shall be slain by my sword.
36-3:12 I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor
people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.
38-3:7 Thus saith
the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my
charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and
shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee
places to walk among these that stand by.
38-4:9 The
hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of
hosts hath sent me unto you.
38-8:6 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this
people in these days, should it also be
marvellous in mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts.
38-8:21 And the
inhabitants of one city shall go to
another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the
LORD of hosts: I will go also.
38-9:2 And
Hamath also shall border thereby; Tyrus, and
Zidon, though it be very wise.
38-9:5 Ashkelon
shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see
it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed;
and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
38-9:11 As for
thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have
sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
38-10:10 I will
bring them again also out of the land of Egypt,
and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead
and Lebanon; and place shall not be
found for them.
38-11:8 Three
shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul
loathed them, and their soul also abhorred me.
38-12:7 The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the
glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do
not magnify themselves against Judah.
38-13:2 And it
shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and
they shall no more be remembered:
and also I will cause the prophets and the
unclean spirit to pass out of the land.
38-14:14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all
the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and
apparel, in great abundance.
39-1:13 Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye
brought that which was torn, and the
lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the LORD.
39-2:9 Therefore
have I also made you contemptible and base
before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been
partial in the law.
40-2:8 And he
sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child;
and when ye have found him, bring me
word again, that I may come and worship him also.
40-3:10 And now also the ax is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth
not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
40-5:39 But I say
unto you, That ye resist not evil:
but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40-5:40 And if any
man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
40-6:14 For if ye
forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
40-6:21 For where
your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
40-10:4 Simon the
Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed
him.
40-10:32 Whosoever
therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
40-10:33 But
whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also
deny before my Father which is in heaven.
40-12:45 Then goeth
he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and
they enter in and dwell there: and
the last state of that man is worse
than the first. Even so shall it be also unto
this wicked generation.
40-13:22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that
heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches,
choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
40-13:23 But he
that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and
understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an
hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
40-13:26 But when
the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
40-13:29 But he
said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
40-15:3 But he
answered and said unto them, Why do ye also
transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
40-15:16 And Jesus
said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
40-16:1 The
Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and
tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.
40-16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this
rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against
it.
40-17:12 But I say
unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto
him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also
the Son of man suffer of them.
40-18:33 Shouldest
not thou also have had compassion on thy
fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
40-18:35 So
likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto
you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
40-19:3 The
Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and
saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
40-19:28 And Jesus
said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the
regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve
tribes of Israel.
40-20:4 And said
unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and
whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.
40-20:7 They say
unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.
40-21:21 Jesus
answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt
not, ye shall not only do this which is
done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall
say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it
shall be done.
40-21:24 And Jesus
answered and said unto them, I also will ask you
one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority
I do these things.
40-22:26 Likewise
the second also, and the third, unto the
seventh.
40-22:27 And last
of all the woman died also.
40-23:26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter,
that the outside of them may be clean also.
40-23:28 Even so ye
also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but
within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
40-24:27 For as the
lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40-24:37 But as the
days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40-24:39 And knew
not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40-24:44 Therefore
be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
40-25:11 Afterward
came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord,
open to us.
40-25:17 And
likewise he that had received two, he
also gained other two.
40-25:22 He also that had received two talents came and said,
Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents:
behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
40-25:41 Then shall
he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart
from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his
angels:
40-25:44 Then shall
they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we
thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison,
and did not minister unto thee?
40-26:13 Verily I
say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also
this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
40-26:35 Peter said
unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.
40-26:69 Now Peter
sat without in the palace: and a
damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast
with Jesus of Galilee.
40-26:71 And when
he was gone out into the porch, another maid
saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of
Nazareth.
40-26:73 And after
a while came unto him they that stood
by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth
thee.
40-27:41 Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,
40-27:44 The
thieves also, which were crucified with him,
cast the same in his teeth.
40-27:57 When the
even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus’ disciple:
41-1:19 And when
he had gone a little farther thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also
were in the ship mending their nets.
41-1:38 And he
said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for
therefore came I forth.
41-2:15 And it
came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and
sinners sat also together with Jesus and his
disciples: for there were many, and
they followed him.
41-2:21 No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up
taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse.
41-2:26 How he
went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat
the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?
41-2:28 Therefore
the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
41-3:19 And Judas
Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.
41-4:36 And when
they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And
there were also with him other little ships.
41-5:16 And they
that saw it told them how it befell
to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
41-7:18 And he
saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also?
Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
41-8:7 And they
had a few small fishes: and he
blessed, and commanded to set them also before them.
41-8:34 And when
he had called the people unto him with
his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever
will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
41-8:38 Whosoever
therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful
generation; of him also shall the Son of man be
ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
41-11:25 And when
ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in
heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
41-11:29 And Jesus
answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you
one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these
things.
41-12:6 Having
yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also
last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.
41-12:22 And the
seven had her, and left no seed:
last of all the woman died also.
41-14:9 Verily I
say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world,
this also
that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.
41-14:31 But he
spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in
any wise. Likewise also said they all.
41-14:67 And when
she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.
41-15:31 Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves
with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.
41-15:40 There were
also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and
Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
41-15:41 (Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and
ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto
Jerusalem.
41-15:43 Joseph of Arimathaea,
an honourable counsellor, which also waited for
the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body
of Jesus.
42-1:3 It
seemed good to me also, having had perfect
understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order,
most excellent Theophilus,
42-1:35 And the
angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the
power of the Highest shall overshadow thee:
therefore also that holy thing which shall be
born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
42-1:36 And,
behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also
conceived a son in her old age: and
this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
42-2:4 And
Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the
city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called
Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
42-2:35 (Yea, a
sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,)
that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.
42-3:9 And now also the ax is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth
not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
42-3:12 Then came
also publicans to be baptized, and said unto
him, Master, what shall we do?
42-3:21 Now when
all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was
opened,
42-4:23 And he
said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal
thyself: whatsoever we have heard
done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.
42-4:41 And
devils also came out of many, crying out, and
saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak:
for they knew that he was Christ.
42-4:43 And he
said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for
therefore am I sent.
42-5:10 And so was also
James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus
said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.
42-5:36 And he
spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a
piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a
rent, and the piece that was taken out
of the new agreeth not with the old.
42-5:39 No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new:
for he saith, The old is better.
42-6:4 How he
went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not
lawful to eat but for the priests alone?
42-6:5 And he
said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also
of the sabbath.
42-6:6 And it
came to pass also on another sabbath, that he
entered into the synagogue and taught:
and there was a man whose right hand was withered.
42-6:13 And when
it was day, he called unto him his
disciples: and of them he chose
twelve, whom also he named apostles;
42-6:14 Simon,
(whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his
brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,
42-6:16 And Judas
the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot,
which also was the traitor.
42-6:29 And unto
him that smiteth thee on the one cheek
offer also the other; and him that taketh away
thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat
also.
42-6:31 And as ye
would that men should do to you, do ye also to
them likewise.
42-6:32 For if ye
love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
42-6:33 And if ye
do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
42-6:34 And if ye
lend to them of whom ye hope to
receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also
lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
42-6:36 Be ye
therefore merciful, as your Father also is
merciful.
42-7:8 For I also am a man set under authority, having under me
soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he
cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
42-7:49 And they
that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that
forgiveth sins also?
42-8:36 They also which saw it
told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.
42-9:61 And
another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but
let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
42-10:1 After
these things the Lord appointed other seventy also,
and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he
himself would come.
42-10:39 And she
had a sister called Mary, which also sat at
Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.
42-11:1 And it
came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one
of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
42-11:4 And
forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every
one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us
from evil.
42-11:18 If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom
stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.
42-11:30 For as
Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also
the Son of man be to this generation.
42-11:34 The light
of the body is the eye: therefore
when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is
full of light; but when thine eye is
evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
42-11:40 Ye fools, did not he that made that
which is without make that which is within also?
42-11:45 Then
answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou
reproachest us also.
42-11:46 And he
said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and
ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.
42-11:49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets
and apostles, and some of them they
shall slay and persecute:
42-12:8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before
men, him shall the Son of man also confess
before the angels of God:
42-12:34 For where
your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
42-12:40 Be ye
therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
42-12:54 And he said
also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out
of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.
42-13:6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought
fruit thereon, and found none.
42-13:8 And he
answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also,
till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
42-14:12 Then said
he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a
dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy
kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours;
lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence
be made thee.
42-14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father,
and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own
life also, he cannot be my disciple.
42-16:1 And he
said also unto his disciples, There was a
certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that
he had wasted his goods.
42-16:10 He that is
faithful in that which is least is faithful also
in much: and he that is unjust in
the least is unjust also in much.
42-16:14 And the
Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all
these things: and they derided him.
42-16:22 And it
came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into
Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
42-16:28 For I have
five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
42-17:24 For as the
lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part
under heaven, shineth unto the other part
under heaven; so shall also the Son of man
be in his day.
42-17:26 And as it
was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in
the days of the Son of man.
42-17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they
drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
42-18:15 And they
brought unto him also infants, that he would
touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
42-19:9 And Jesus
said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
42-19:19 And he
said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
42-20:3 And he
answered and said unto them, I will also ask you
one thing; and answer me:
42-20:11 And again
he sent another servant: and they
beat him also, and entreated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.
42-20:12 And again
he sent a third: and they wounded
him also, and cast him out.
42-20:31 And the
third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died.
42-20:32 Last of
all the woman died also.
42-21:2 And he
saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither
two mites.
42-22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which
is shed for you.
42-22:24 And there
was also a strife among them, which of them
should be accounted the greatest.
42-22:39 And he
came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.
42-22:56 But a
certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him,
and said, This man was also with him.
42-22:58 And after
a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also
of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.
42-22:59 And about
the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth
this fellow also
was with him: for he is a Galilaean.
42-22:68 And if I also ask you, ye
will not answer me, nor let me go.
42-23:7 And as
soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to
Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that
time.
42-23:27 And there
followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.
42-23:32 And there
were also two other, malefactors, led with him
to be put to death.
42-23:35 And the
people stood beholding. And the rulers also with
them derided him, saying, He saved
others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.
42-23:36 And the
soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and
offering him vinegar,
42-23:38 And a
superscription also was written over him in letters
of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
42-23:51 (The same
had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom
of God.
42-23:55 And the
women also, which came with him from Galilee,
followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.
42-24:22 Yea, and
certain women also of our company made us
astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
42-24:23 And when
they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was
alive.
43-3:23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because
there was much water there: and they
came, and were baptized.
43-4:45 Then when
he was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the
things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.
43-5:18 Therefore
the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the
sabbath, but said also that God was his Father,
making himself equal with God.
43-5:19 Then
answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can
do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also
doeth the Son likewise.
43-5:27 And hath
given him authority to execute judgment also,
because he is the Son of man.
43-6:24 When the
people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for
Jesus.
43-6:36 But I
said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and
believe not.
43-6:67 Then said
Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
43-7:3 His
brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy
disciples also may see the works that thou
doest.
43-7:10 But when
his brethren were gone up, then went he also up
unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.
43-7:47 Then
answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also
deceived?
43-7:52 They
answered and said unto him, Art thou also of
Galilee? Search, and look: for out
of Galilee ariseth no prophet.
43-8:17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two
men is true.
43-8:19 Then said
they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my
Father: if ye had known me, ye
should have known my Father also.
43-9:15 Then
again the Pharisees also asked him how he had
received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I
washed, and do see.
43-9:27 He
answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again?
will ye also be his disciples?
43-9:40 And some of the Pharisees which were with
him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
43-10:16 And other
sheep I have, which are not of this fold:
them also I must bring, and they shall hear my
voice; and there shall be one fold, and one
shepherd.
43-11:16 Then said
Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellowdisciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.
43-11:33 When Jesus
therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also
weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,
43-11:52 And not
for that nation only, but that also he should
gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.
43-12:9 Much
people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see
Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
43-12:10 But the
chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also
to death;
43-12:18 For this
cause the people also met him, for that they heard
that he had done this miracle.
43-12:26 If any man
serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be:
if any man serve me, him will my Father
honour.
43-12:42 Nevertheless
among the chief rulers also many believed on
him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
43-13:9 Simon
Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also
my hands and my head.
43-13:14 If I then,
your Lord and Master, have washed
your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s
feet.
43-13:32 If God be
glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in
himself, and shall straightway glorify him.
43-13:34 A new
commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you,
that ye also love one another.
43-14:1 Let not
your heart be troubled: ye believe
in God, believe also in me.
43-14:3 And if I
go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself;
that where I am, there ye may be also.
43-14:7 If ye had
known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and
have seen him.
43-14:12 Verily, verily,
I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works
than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
43-14:19 Yet a
little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
43-15:20 Remember
the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If
they have persecuted me, they will also persecute
you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
43-15:23 He that
hateth me hateth my Father also.
43-15:27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me
from the beginning.
43-17:1 These
words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour
is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may
glorify thee:
43-17:18 As thou
hast sent me into the world, even so have I also
sent them into the world.
43-17:19 And for
their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also
might be sanctified through the truth.
43-17:20 Neither
pray I for these alone, but for them also which
shall believe on me through their word;
43-17:21 That they
all may be one; as thou, Father, art in
me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in
us: that the world may believe that
thou hast sent me.
43-17:24 Father, I
will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be
with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the
foundation of the world.
43-18:2 And Judas
also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither
with his disciples.
43-18:5 They
answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also,
which betrayed him, stood with them.
43-18:17 Then saith
the damsel that kept the door unto Peter, Art not thou also
one of this man’s disciples? He
saith, I am not.
43-18:25 And Simon
Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of
his disciples? He denied it, and
said, I am not.
43-19:23 Then the
soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four
parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
43-19:39 And there
came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to
Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred
pound weight.
43-20:8 Then went
in also that other disciple, which came first to
the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.
43-21:3 Simon
Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a
ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
43-21:20 Then
Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord,
which is he that betrayeth thee?
43-21:25 And there
are also many other things which Jesus did, the
which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself
could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
44-1:3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many
infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining
to the kingdom of God:
44-1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up
into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come
in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
44-2:22 Ye men of
Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by
miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye
yourselves also know:
44-2:26 Therefore
did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also
my flesh shall rest in hope:
44-3:17 And now,
brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.
44-5:2 And kept
back part of the price, his wife also being privy to
it, and brought a certain part, and laid it, at the apostles’ feet.
44-5:16 There
came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks,
and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
44-5:32 And we
are his witnesses of these things; and so
is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given
to them that obey him.
44-5:37 After this
man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much
people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.
44-7:45 Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus
into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our
fathers, unto the days of David;
44-8:13 Then
Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered,
beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
44-8:19 Saying,
Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I
lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
44-9:32 And it
came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the
saints which dwelt at Lydda.
44-10:26 But Peter
took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am
a man.
44-10:45 And they
of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter,
because that on the Gentiles also was poured out
the gift of the Holy Ghost.
44-11:1 And the apostles
and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.
44-11:18 When they
heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath
God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto
life.
44-11:30 Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands
of Barnabas and Saul.
44-12:3 And
because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)
44-13:5 And when
they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the
Jews: and they had also John to their
minister.
44-13:9 Then
Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,
44-13:22 And when he
had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David
the son of Jesse, a man after mine
own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
44-13:33 God hath
fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus
again; as it is also written in the second
psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
44-13:35 Wherefore
he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
44-14:1 And it
came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the
Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.
44-14:5 And when
there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also
of the Jews with their rulers, to use them
despitefully, and to stone them,
44-14:15 And
saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also
are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from
these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea,
and all things that are therein:
44-15:27 We have
sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also
tell you the same things by mouth.
44-15:32 And Judas
and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted
the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.
44-15:35 Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and
preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.
44-17:6 And when
they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of
the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;
44-17:12 Therefore
many of them believed; also of honourable women
which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
44-17:13 But when
the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of
Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and
stirred up the people.
44-17:28 For in him
we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also
of your own poets have said, For we are also his
offspring.
44-19:17 And this was
known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling
at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was
magnified.
44-19:19 Many of
them also which used curious arts brought their books
together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of
them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
44-19:21 After
these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed
through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been
there, I must also see Rome.
44-19:27 So that
not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should
be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the
world worshippeth.
44-20:21 Testifying
both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks,
repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
44-20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking
perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
44-21:13 Then Paul
answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to
be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for
the name of the Lord Jesus.
44-21:16 There went
with us also certain
of the disciples of Caesarea, and brought with them one Mnason of Cyprus,
an old disciple, with whom we should lodge.
44-21:24 Them take,
and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed
concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou
thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the
law.
44-21:28 Crying
out, Men of Israel, help: This is
the man, that teacheth all men every
where against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also
into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place.
44-22:5 As also the high priest doth bear me witness, and all the
estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the brethren, and went to
Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem, for to be
punished.
44-22:20 And when the
blood of thy martyr Stephen was shed, I also was
standing by, and consenting unto his death, and kept the raiment of them that
slew him.
44-22:29 Then
straightway they departed from him which should have examined him: and the chief captain also was afraid, after he knew that he was a Roman,
and because he had bound him.
44-23:11 And the
night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in
Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at
Rome.
44-23:30 And when
it was told me how that the Jews laid wait for the man, I sent straightway to thee,
and gave commandment to his accusers also to say
before thee what they had against
him. Farewell.
44-23:33 Who, when
they came to Caesarea, and delivered the epistle to the governor, presented
Paul also before him.
44-23:35 I will
hear thee, said he, when thine accusers are also
come. And he commanded him to be kept in Herod’s judgment hall.
44-24:6 Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged
according to our law.
44-24:9 And the
Jews also assented, saying that these things
were so.
44-24:15 And have
hope toward God, which they themselves also
allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and
unjust.
44-24:26 He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul,
that he might loose him: wherefore
he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him.
44-25:22 Then
Agrippa said unto Festus, I would also hear the
man myself. To morrow, said he, thou shalt hear him.
44-25:24 And Festus
said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this
man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at
Jerusalem, and also
here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.
44-26:10 Which
thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up
in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were
put to death, I gave my voice against them.
44-26:26 For the
king knoweth of these things, before whom also I
speak freely: for I am persuaded
that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a
corner.
44-26:29 And Paul
said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also
all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am,
except these bonds.
44-27:10 And said
unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage,
not only of the lading and ship, but also of our
lives.
44-27:12 And
because the haven was not commodious to winter in, the more part advised to
depart thence also, if by any means they might attain
to Phenice, and there to winter; which is an haven of Crete, and lieth
toward the south west and north west.
44-27:36 Then were
they all of good cheer, and they also took some meat.
44-28:9 So when
this was done, others also, which had diseases
in the island, came, and were healed:
44-28:10 Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we
departed, they laded us with such
things as were necessary.
45-1:6 Among
whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
45-1:13 Now I
would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto
you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
45-1:15 So, as
much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
45-1:16 For I am
not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:
for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the
Jew first, and also to the Greek.
45-1:24 Wherefore
God also gave them up to uncleanness through the
lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
45-1:27 And
likewise also the men, leaving the natural use
of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working
that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their
error which was meet.
45-2:9 Tribulation
and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
45-2:10 But
glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and
also to the Gentile:
45-2:12 For as
many as have sinned without law shall also
perish without law: and as many as
have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
45-2:15 Which
shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one
another;)
45-3:7 For if the
truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
45-3:29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also
of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
45-4:6 Even as
David also describeth the blessedness of the
man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
45-4:9 Cometh this blessedness then upon the
circumcision only, or upon the
uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was
reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.
45-4:11 And he
received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith
which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all
them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be
imputed unto them also:
45-4:12 And the father
of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father
Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.
45-4:16 Therefore
it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the
promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law,
but to that also which is of the faith of
Abraham; who is the father of us all,
45-4:21 And being
fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
45-4:24 But for
us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we
believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
45-5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein
we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
45-5:3 And not
only so, but we glory in tribulations
also:
knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
45-5:11 And not
only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom
we have now received the atonement.
45-5:15 But not as
the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead,
much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
45-6:4 Therefore
we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of
the Father, even so we also should walk in
newness of life.
45-6:5 For if we
have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the
likeness of his resurrection:
45-6:8 Now if
we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also
live with him:
45-6:11 Likewise
reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto
sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
45-7:4 Wherefore,
my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by
the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth
fruit unto God.
45-8:11 But if
the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that
raised up Christ from the dead shall also
quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
45-8:17 And if
children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
45-8:21 Because
the creature itself also shall be delivered from
the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
45-8:23 And not
only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even
we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
45-8:26 Likewise
the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray
for as we ought: but the Spirit
itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
45-8:29 For whom
he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son,
that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
45-8:30 Moreover
whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified:
and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
45-8:32 He that
spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with
him also freely give us all things?
45-8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that
is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
45-9:1 I say
the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also
bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,
45-9:10 And not
only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;
45-9:24 Even us,
whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also
of the Gentiles?
45-9:25 As he
saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which
were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.
45-9:27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of
the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:
45-11:1 I say
then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also
am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of
the tribe of Benjamin.
45-11:5 Even so
then at this present time also there is a
remnant according to the election of grace.
45-11:16 For if the
firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy:
and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
45-11:21 For if God
spared not the natural branches, take
heed lest he also spare not thee.
45-11:22 Behold
therefore the goodness and severity of God:
on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut
off.
45-11:23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be
grafted in: for God is able to graft
them in again.
45-11:31 Even so
have these also now not believed, that through
your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
45-13:5 Wherefore
ye must needs be subject, not only
for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
45-13:6 For for
this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers,
attending continually upon this very thing.
45-15:7 Wherefore
receive ye one another, as Christ also received
us to the glory of God.
45-15:14 And I
myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren,
that ye also are full of goodness, filled with
all knowledge, able also to admonish one
another.
45-15:22 For which
cause also I have been much hindered from coming
to you.
45-15:27 It hath
pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been
made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.
45-16:2 That ye
receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in
whatsoever business she hath need of you:
for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.
45-16:4 Who have
for my life laid down their own necks:
unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all
the churches of the Gentiles.
45-16:7 Salute
Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among
the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.
46-1:8 Who
shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of
our Lord Jesus Christ.
46-1:16 And I
baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I
baptized any other.
46-2:13 Which
things also we speak, not in the words which
man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual
things with spiritual.
46-4:8 Now ye
are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that
we also might reign with you.
46-5:12 For what
have I to do to judge them also that are
without? do not ye judge them that are within?
46-6:14 And God
hath both raised up the Lord, and will also
raise up us by his own power.
46-7:3 Let the
husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto
the husband.
46-7:4 The wife
hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath
not power of his own body, but the wife.
46-7:22 For he
that is called in the Lord, being a
servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise
also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant.
46-7:34 There is
difference also
between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of
the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how
she may please her husband.
46-7:40 But she
is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the
Spirit of God.
46-9:8 Say I
these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?
46-10:6 Now these
things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things,
as they also lusted.
46-10:9 Neither
let us tempt Christ, as some of them also
tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
46-10:10 Neither
murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and
were destroyed of the destroyer.
46-10:13 There hath
no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful,
who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the
temptation also make a way to escape, that ye
may be able to bear it.
46-11:1 Be ye
followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
46-11:6 For if
the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to
be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
46-11:12 For as the
woman is of the man, even so is the man also
by the woman; but all things of God.
46-11:19 For there
must be also heresies among you, that they which
are approved may be made manifest among you.
46-11:23 For I have
received of the Lord that which also I delivered
unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night
in which he was betrayed took bread:
46-11:25 After the
same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new
testament in my blood: this do ye,
as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance
of me.
46-12:12 For as the
body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being
many, are one body: so also is Christ.
46-13:12 For now we
see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
46-14:15 What is it
then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I
will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
46-14:19 Yet in the
church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
46-14:34 Let your
women keep silence in the churches:
for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
46-15:1 Moreover,
brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
46-15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached
unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
46-15:3 For I
delivered unto you first of all that which I also
received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
46-15:8 And last
of all he was seen of me also, as of one born
out of due time.
46-15:14 And if
Christ be not risen, then is our
preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
46-15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
46-15:21 For since
by man came death, by man came also
the resurrection of the dead.
46-15:28 And when
all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things
under him, that God may be all in all.
46-15:40 There are also
celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial:
but the glory of the celestial is one,
and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
46-15:42 So also is the resurrection
of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
46-15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they
also that are heavenly.
46-15:49 And as we
have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also
bear the image of the heavenly.
46-16:4 And if it
be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.
46-16:10 Now if
Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.
47-1:5 For as
the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
47-1:6 And
whether we be afflicted, it is for
your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same
sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and
salvation.
47-1:7 And our
hope of you is stedfast, knowing,
that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
47-1:11 Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the
gift bestowed upon us by the means of
many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
47-1:14 As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your
rejoicing, even as ye also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.
47-1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in
our hearts.
47-2:9 For to
this end also did I write, that I might know the
proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.
47-2:10 To whom
ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for
if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it,
for your sakes forgave I it in
the person of Christ;
47-3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament;
not of the letter, but of the spirit:
for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
47-4:10 Always
bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
47-4:11 For we
which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
47-4:13 We having
the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore
have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore
speak;
47-4:14 Knowing
that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
47-5:5 Now he
that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is
God, who also hath given unto us the earnest
of the Spirit.
47-5:11 Knowing
therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest
unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in
your consciences.
47-6:1 We then,
as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the
grace of God in vain.
47-6:13 Now for a
recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my
children,) be ye also enlarged.
47-8:6 Insomuch
that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.
47-8:7 Therefore,
as ye abound in every thing, in faith,
and utterance, and knowledge, and in all
diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.
47-8:10 And
herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who
have begun before, not only to do, but also to
be forward a year ago.
47-8:11 Now
therefore perform the doing of it; that
as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.
47-8:14 But by an
equality, that now at this time your
abundance may be a supply for their
want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:
47-8:19 And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with
this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind:
47-8:21 Providing
for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
47-9:6 But this
I say, He which soweth sparingly
shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth
bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
47-9:12 For the
administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but
is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
47-10:11 Let such
an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent,
such will we be also in deed when we are present.
47-10:14 For we
stretch not ourselves beyond our measure,
as though we reached not unto you:
for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:
47-11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness;
whose end shall be according to their works.
47-11:18 Seeing
that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also.
47-11:21 I speak as
concerning reproach, as though we had been weak. Howbeit whereinsoever any is
bold, (I speak foolishly,) I am bold also.
47-13:4 For
though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God.
For we also are weak in him, but we shall live
with him by the power of God toward you.
47-13:9 For we are
glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong:
and this also we wish, even your perfection.
48-2:1 Then
fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus
with me also.
48-2:10 Only they would that we should remember the
poor; the same which I also was forward to do.
48-2:13 And the
other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.
48-2:17 But if,
while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also
are found sinners, is therefore
Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
48-5:21 Envyings,
murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time
past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
48-5:25 If we
live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the
Spirit.
48-6:1 Brethren,
if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in
the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also
be tempted.
48-6:7 Be not
deceived; God is not mocked: for
whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also
reap.
49-1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being
predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the
counsel of his own will:
49-1:13 In whom
ye also trusted,
after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also
after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
49-1:15 Wherefore
I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord
Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
49-1:21 Far above
all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is
named, not only in this world, but also in that
which is to come:
49-2:3 Among
whom also we all had our conversation in times
past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the
mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
49-2:22 In whom
ye also are builded together for an habitation
of God through the Spirit.
49-4:9 (Now
that he ascended, what is it but that he also
descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
49-4:10 He that
descended is the same also that ascended up far
above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
49-5:2 And walk
in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath
given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling
savour.
49-5:25 Husbands,
love your wives, even as Christ also loved the
church, and gave himself for it;
49-6:9 And, ye
masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons
with him.
49-6:21 But that
ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved
brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
50-1:15 Some
indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also
of good will:
50-1:20 According
to my earnest expectation and my hope,
that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that
with all boldness, as always, so now
also Christ shall be magnified in my body,
whether it be by life, or by death.
50-1:29 For unto
you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
50-2:4 Look not
every man on his own things, but every man also
on the things of others.
50-2:5 Let this
mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
50-2:9 Wherefore
God also hath highly exalted him, and given him
a name which is above every name:
50-2:18 For the
same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.
50-2:19 But I
trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
50-2:24 But I
trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come
shortly.
50-2:27 For
indeed he was sick nigh unto death:
but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
50-3:4 Though I
might also have confidence in the flesh. If any
other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
50-3:12 Not as though
I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
50-3:20 For our
conversation is in heaven; from whence also we
look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
50-4:3 And I
intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those
women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other
my fellowlabourers, whose names are in
the book of life.
50-4:10 But I
rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath
flourished again; wherein ye were also careful,
but ye lacked opportunity.
50-4:15 Now ye
Philippians know also, that in the beginning of
the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as
concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
51-1:6 Which is
come unto you, as it is in all the
world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it
doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in
truth:
51-1:7 As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who
is for you a faithful minister of Christ;
51-1:8 Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
51-1:9 For this
cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to
desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and
spiritual understanding;
51-1:29 Whereunto
I also labour, striving according to his
working, which worketh in me mightily.
51-2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made
without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the
circumcision of Christ:
51-2:12 Buried
with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen
with him through the faith of the
operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
51-3:4 When
Christ, who is our life, shall
appear, then shall ye also appear with him in
glory.
51-3:7 In the
which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in
them.
51-3:8 But now
ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice,
blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
51-3:13 Forbearing
one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
51-3:15 And let
the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also
ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
51-4:1 Masters,
give unto your servants that which is
just and equal; knowing that ye also have a
Master in heaven.
51-4:3 Withal
praying also for us, that God would open unto us
a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:
51-4:16 And when
this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also
in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.
52-1:5 For our
gospel came not unto you in word only, but also
in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner
of men we were among you for your sake.
52-1:8 For from
you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need
not to speak any thing.
52-2:8 So being
affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not
the gospel of God only, but also our own souls,
because ye were dear unto us.
52-2:10 Ye are witnesses, and God also, how
holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:
52-2:13 For this
cause also thank we God without ceasing,
because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which
effectually worketh also in you that believe.
52-2:14 For ye,
brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ
Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen,
even as they have of the Jews:
52-3:6 But now
when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith
and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly
to see us, as we also to see you:
52-4:6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in
any matter: because that the Lord is the
avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned
you and testified.
52-4:8 He
therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
52-4:14 For if we
believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also
which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
52-5:11 Wherefore
comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
52-5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
53-1:5 Which is a manifest token of the
righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God,
for which ye also suffer:
53-1:11 Wherefore
also we pray always for you, that our God would
count you worthy of this calling, and
fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness,
and the work of faith with power:
54-2:9 In like
manner also, that women adorn themselves in
modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or
gold, or pearls, or costly array;
54-3:10 And let
these also first be proved; then let them use
the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
54-5:13 And
withal they learn to be idle,
wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought
not.
54-5:20 Them that
sin rebuke before all, that others also may
fear.
54-5:25 Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot
be hid.
54-6:12 Fight the
good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before
many witnesses.
55-1:5 When I
call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in
thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
55-1:12 For the
which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and
am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against
that day.
55-2:2 And the
things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to
faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
55-2:5 And if a
man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive
lawfully.
55-2:10 Therefore
I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus
with eternal glory.
55-2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also
live with him:
55-2:12 If we
suffer, we shall also reign with him:
if we deny him, he also will deny us:
55-2:20 But in a
great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and
some to dishonour.
55-2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that
call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
55-3:1 This
know also, that in the last days perilous times
shall come.
55-3:8 Now as
Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also
resist the truth: men of corrupt
minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
55-3:9 But they
shall proceed no further: for their
folly shall be manifest unto all men, as
theirs also was.
55-4:8 Henceforth
there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous
judge, shall give me at that day:
and not to me only, but unto all them also that
love his appearing.
55-4:15 Of whom
be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood
our words.
56-3:3 For we
ourselves also were sometimes foolish,
disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and
envy, hateful, and hating one
another.
56-3:14 And let
ours also learn to maintain good works for
necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.
57-1:9 Yet for
love’s sake I rather beseech thee, being
such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a
prisoner of Jesus Christ.
57-1:21 Having
confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.
57-1:22 But
withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers
I shall be given unto you.
58-1:2 Hath in
these last days spoken unto us by his Son,
whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also
he made the worlds;
58-2:4 God also bearing them
witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts
of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
58-2:14 Forasmuch
then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that
through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
58-3:2 Who was
faithful to him that appointed him, as also
Moses was faithful in all his house.
58-4:10 For he
that is entered into his rest, he also hath
ceased from his own works, as God did from
his.
58-5:2 Who can
have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that
he himself also is compassed with infirmity.
58-5:3 And by
reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also
for himself, to offer for sins.
58-5:5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest;
but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
58-5:6 As he
saith also in another place, Thou art a priest
for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
58-7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by
interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also
King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
58-7:9 And as I
may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes,
payed tithes in Abraham.
58-7:12 For the
priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
58-7:25 Wherefore
he is able also to save them to the uttermost
that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
58-8:3 For
every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity
that this man have somewhat also to offer.
58-8:6 But now
hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established
upon better promises.
58-9:1 Then
verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly
sanctuary.
58-9:16 For where
a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
58-10:15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
58-11:11 Through
faith also Sara herself received strength to
conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she
judged him faithful who had promised.
58-11:19 Accounting
that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
58-11:32 And what
shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae;
of David also,
and Samuel, and of the prophets:
58-12:1 Wherefore
seeing we also are compassed about with so great
a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so
easily beset us, and let us run with
patience the race that is set before us,
58-12:26 Whose
voice then shook the earth: but now
he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
58-13:3 Remember
them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and
them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also
in the body.
58-13:12 Wherefore
Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people
with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
59-1:11 For the
sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the
flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also
shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
59-2:2 For if
there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and
there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
59-2:11 For he
that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do
not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a
transgressor of the law.
59-2:19 Thou
believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and
tremble.
59-2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when
she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
59-2:26 For as
the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
59-3:2 For in
many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole
body.
59-3:4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven
of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm,
whithersoever the governor listeth.
59-5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
60-2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual
house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God
by Jesus Christ.
60-2:6 Wherefore
also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I
lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
60-2:8 And a
stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even
to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were
appointed.
60-2:18 Servants,
be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
60-2:21 For even
hereunto were ye called: because
Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an
example, that ye should follow his steps:
60-3:1 Likewise,
ye wives, be in subjection to your
own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also
may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
60-3:5 For
after this manner in the old time the holy women also,
who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own
husbands:
60-3:18 For
Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the
just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the
flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
60-3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
60-3:21 The like
figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of
the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection
of Jesus Christ:
60-4:6 For for
this cause was the gospel preached also to them
that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but
live according to God in the spirit.
60-4:13 But
rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his
glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also
with exceeding joy.
60-5:1 The
elders which are among you I exhort, who am also
an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
61-1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do
well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the
day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
61-2:1 But
there were false prophets also among the people,
even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in
damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon
themselves swift destruction.
61-3:10 But the
day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens
shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent
heat, the earth also and the works that are
therein shall be burned up.
61-3:15 And
account that the longsuffering of our
Lord is salvation; even as our
beloved brother Paul also according to the
wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
61-3:16 As also in all his epistles,
speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be
understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also
the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
61-3:17 Ye
therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these
things before, beware lest ye also, being
led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
62-1:3 That
which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is
with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
62-2:2 And he
is the propitiation for our sins:
and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
62-2:6 He that
saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to
walk, even as he walked.
62-2:23 Whosoever
denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth
the Son hath the Father also.
62-2:24 Let that
therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which
ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
62-3:4 Whosoever
committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the
law.
62-4:11 Beloved,
if God so loved us, we ought also to love one
another.
62-4:21 And this commandment
have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
62-5:1 Whosoever
believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
63-1:1 The
elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I
only, but also all they that have known the
truth;
64-1:12 Demetrius
hath good report of all men, and of
the truth itself: yea, and we also bear
record; and ye know that our record is true.
65-1:8 Likewise
also these filthy
dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
65-1:14 And Enoch
also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of
these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
66-1:7 Behold,
he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which
pierced him: and all kindreds of the
earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
66-1:9 I John,
who also am your brother, and companion in
tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle
that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus
Christ.
66-2:6 But this
thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.
66-2:15 So hast
thou also them that hold the doctrine of the
Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.
66-3:10 Because
thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also
will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the
world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
66-3:21 To him
that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his
throne.
66-6:11 And white
robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they
should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they
were, should be fulfilled.
66-11:8 And their
dead bodies shall lie in the street
of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
66-14:17 And
another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
