01-GENESIS
01-3:9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him,
Where art thou?
01-3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou
hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast
of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the
days of thy life:
01-3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till
thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
01-4:6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
01-4:11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened
her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand;
01-12:11 And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter
into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a
fair woman to look upon:
01-12:13 Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live
because of thee.
01-13:14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was
separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and
westward:
01-16:11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with
child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD
hath heard thy affliction.
01-17:8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee,
the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land
of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
01-20:3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and
said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast
taken; for she is a man’s wife.
01-23:6 Hear us, my lord:
thou art a
mighty prince among us: in the
choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead; none of us shall withhold from thee his
sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy dead.
01-24:23 And said, Whose daughter art thou? tell me, I pray thee: is there room in thy father’s house for us to lodge in?
01-24:47 And I asked her, and said, Whose daughter art thou?
And she said, The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bare unto him: and I put the earring upon her face,
and the bracelets upon her hands.
01-24:60 And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our
sister, be thou the mother of
thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate
them.
01-26:16 And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we.
01-26:29 That thou wilt do us no hurt, as we have not touched
thee, and as we have done unto thee nothing but good, and have sent thee away
in peace: thou art now the blessed of the LORD.
01-27:18 And he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I; who art thou, my son?
01-27:24 And he said, Art thou my very son Esau? And he said, I am.
01-27:32 And Isaac his father said unto him, Who art thou?
And he said, I am thy son, thy
firstborn Esau.
01-28:4 And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to
thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.
01-29:14 And Laban said to him, Surely thou art my
bone and my flesh. And he abode with him the space of a month.
01-29:15 And Laban said unto Jacob, Because thou art my
brother, shouldest thou therefore serve me for nought? tell me, what shall thy wages be?
01-32:17 And he commanded the foremost, saying, When Esau my
brother meeteth thee, and asketh thee, saying, Whose art thou? and whither goest thou?
and whose are these before thee?
01-39:9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he
kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
01-41:39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed
thee all this, there is none so
discreet and wise as thou art:
01-44:18 Then Judah came near unto him, and said, Oh my lord,
let thy servant, I pray thee, speak a word in my lord’s ears, and let not thine
anger burn against thy servant: for
thou art even
as Pharaoh.
01-45:19 Now thou art commanded,
this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and
for your wives, and bring your father, and come.
01-46:30 And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I
have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.
01-47:8 And Pharaoh said unto Jacob, How old art thou?
01-49:3 Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of
my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:
01-49:8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall
bow down before thee.
01-49:9 Judah is a
lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son,
thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who
shall rouse him up?
02-4:25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the
foreskin of her son, and cast it at his
feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.
02-4:26 So he let him go:
then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision.
02-18:18 Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people
that is with thee: for this thing is too
heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it
thyself alone.
02-30:25 And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an
ointment compound after the art of the
apothecary: it shall be an holy
anointing oil.
02-30:35 And thou shalt make it a perfume, a confection after
the art of the apothecary, tempered together,
pure and holy:
02-33:3 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of
thee; for thou art
a stiffnecked people: lest I
consume thee in the way.
02-34:10 And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do
marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall
see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with
thee.
03-27:12 And the priest shall value it, whether it be good or
bad: as thou valuest it, who art the
priest, so shall it be.
04-14:14 And they will tell it
to the inhabitants of this land:
for they have heard that thou LORD art among
this people, that thou LORD art seen face to
face, and that thy cloud standeth
over them, and that thou goest before
them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.
04-21:29 Woe to thee, Moab! thou art
undone, O people of Chemosh: he hath
given his sons that escaped, and his daughters, into captivity unto Sihon king
of the Amorites.
05-2:18 Thou art to pass over
through Ar, the coast of Moab, this day:
05-4:30 When thou art in
tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and
shalt be obedient unto his voice;
05-4:38 To drive out nations from before thee greater and
mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.
05-7:6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to
be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
05-7:19 The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the
signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby
the LORD thy God brought thee out:
so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid.
05-8:10 When thou hast eaten and art
full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath
given thee.
05-8:12 Lest when thou
hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly
houses, and dwelt therein;
05-9:1 Hear, O Israel:
Thou art to
pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier
than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,
05-9:6 Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth
thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a
stiffnecked people.
05-14:2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the
LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the
nations that are upon the earth.
05-14:21 Ye shall not eat of
any thing that dieth of itself:
thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is
in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy
God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
05-14:24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall
choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
05-17:14 When thou art come unto
the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt
dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the
nations that are about me;
05-18:9 When thou art come into
the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after
the abominations of those nations.
05-26:1 And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the
LORD thy God giveth thee for an
inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;
05-27:3 And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this
law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest
go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth
with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee.
05-27:9 And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all
Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God.
05-28:10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be
afraid of thee.
05-32:15 But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art
covered with fatness; then he forsook
God which made him, and lightly
esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
05-32:18 Of the Rock that
begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast
forgotten God that formed thee.
05-33:29 Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee,
O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and
thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their
high places.
06-5:13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that
he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against
him with his sword drawn in his hand:
and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our
adversaries?
06-13:1 Now Joshua was old and
stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in
years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.
06-17:17 And Joshua spake unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying,
Thou art a
great people, and hast great power:
thou shalt not have one lot only:
07-8:18 Then said he unto Zebah and Zalmunna, What manner of
men were they whom ye slew at Tabor?
And they answered, As thou art, so were
they; each one resembled the children of a king.
07-11:2 And Gilead’s wife bare him sons; and his wife’s sons
grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not
inherit in our father’s house; for thou art the son of a strange woman.
07-11:12 And Jephthah sent messengers unto the king of the
children of Ammon, saying, What hast thou to do with me, that thou art come against me to fight in my land?
07-11:25 And now art thou any thing better than Balak the son of
Zippor, king of Moab? did he ever strive against Israel, or did he ever fight
against them,
07-11:35 And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his
clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the LORD, and I cannot go back.
07-12:5 And the Gileadites took the passages of Jordan before
the Ephraimites: and it was so that when those Ephraimites which were
escaped said, Let me go over; that the men of Gilead said unto him, Art thou
an Ephraimite? If he said, Nay;
07-13:3 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and
said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.
07-13:11 And Manoah arose, and went after his wife, and came to
the man, and said unto him, Art thou the man that spakest unto the woman? And
he said, I am.
08-2:9 Let thine eyes be on
the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee?
and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels,
and drink of that which the young men
have drawn.
08-2:11 And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully
been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death
of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy
mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art
come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.
08-2:12 The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given
thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art
come to trust.
08-3:9 And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid:
spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman.
08-3:11 And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all
that thou requirest: for all the
city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.
08-3:16 And when she came to her mother in law, she said, Who art thou,
my daughter? And she told her all that the man had done to her.
09-8:5 And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like
all the nations.
09-10:2 When thou art departed
from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel’s sepulchre in the
border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou
wentest to seek are found: and, lo,
thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What
shall I do for my son?
09-10:5 After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a
company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret,
and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy:
09-17:28 And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto
the men; and Eliab’s anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou
down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I
know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.
09-17:33 And Saul said to David, Thou art
not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his
youth.
09-17:58 And Saul said to him, Whose son art thou, thou young man? And David answered, I am the son of thy servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.
09-19:3 And I will go out and stand beside my father in the
field where thou art,
and I will commune with my father of thee; and what I see, that I will tell
thee.
09-21:1 Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was afraid at the
meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee?
09-24:17 And he said to David, Thou art more righteous than I: for thou hast rewarded me good,
whereas I have rewarded thee evil.
09-26:14 And David cried to the people, and to Abner the son of
Ner, saying, Answerest thou not, Abner? Then Abner answered and said, Who art thou that criest to the king?
09-26:15 And David said to Abner, Art not thou a valiant man? and who is like
to thee in Israel? wherefore then hast thou not kept thy lord the king? for
there came one of the people in to destroy the king thy lord.
09-28:12 And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud
voice: and the woman spake to Saul,
saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul.
09-29:9 And Achish answered and said to David, I know that
thou art good
in my sight, as an angel of God:
notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up
with us to the battle.
09-30:13 And David said unto him, To whom belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master
left me, because three days ago I fell sick.
10-1:8 And he said unto me, Who art thou? And I answered him, I am an Amalekite.
10-1:13 And David said unto the young man that told him,
Whence art
thou? And he answered, I am the
son of a stranger, an Amalekite.
10-2:20 Then Abner looked behind him, and said, Art thou
Asahel? And he answered, I am.
10-7:22 Wherefore thou art
great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according
to all that we have heard with our ears.
10-7:24 For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to be a people unto thee for ever: and thou, LORD, art become their God.
10-7:28 And now, O Lord GOD, thou art that God, and thy words be true,
and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:
10-9:2 And there was of
the house of Saul a servant whose name was
Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba?
And he said, Thy servant is he.
10-12:7 And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God
of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the
hand of Saul;
10-13:4 And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king’s son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me?
And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.
10-15:2 And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of
the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a
controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and
said, Of what city art thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.
10-15:19 Then said the king to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore
goest thou also with us? return to thy place, and abide with the king: for thou art a stranger, and also an exile.
10-15:27 The king said also unto Zadok the priest, Art not thou
a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy
son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.
10-16:8 The LORD hath returned upon thee all the blood of the
house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the LORD hath delivered
the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art a
bloody man.
10-16:21 And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy
father’s concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall
hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong.
10-18:3 But the people answered, Thou shalt not go forth: for if we flee away, they will not
care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us: but now thou art worth ten thousand of us: therefore now it is better that thou succour us out of the city.
10-19:13 And say ye to Amasa, Art thou not of my bone, and of my
flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if thou be not captain of the host
before me continually in the room of Joab.
10-20:9 And Joab said to Amasa, Art thou in health, my brother? And
Joab took Amasa by the beard with the right hand to kiss him.
10-20:17 And when he was come near unto her, the woman said, Art thou
Joab? And he answered, I am he. Then
she said unto him, Hear the words of thine handmaid. And he answered, I do
hear.
10-22:29 For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.
11-1:42 And while he yet spake, behold, Jonathan the son of
Abiathar the priest came: and
Adonijah said unto him, Come in; for thou art a valiant man, and bringest good tidings.
11-2:9 Now therefore hold him not guiltless: for thou art a wise man, and knowest what
thou oughtest to do unto him; but his hoar head bring thou down to the grave
with blood.
11-2:26 And unto Abiathar the priest said the king, Get thee
to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou art worthy of death: but I will not at this time put thee to
death, because thou barest the ark of the Lord GOD before David my father, and
because thou hast been afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted.
11-6:12 Concerning this house which thou art
in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and
keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with
thee, which I spake unto David thy father:
11-13:14 And went after the man of God, and found him sitting
under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou
the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am.
11-13:18 He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the
LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread
and drink water. But he lied unto
him.
11-17:18 And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee,
O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call
my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?
11-17:24 And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that
thou art a
man of God, and that the word of the
LORD in thy mouth is truth.
11-18:7 And as Obadiah was in the way, behold, Elijah met him: and he knew him, and fell on his
face, and said, Art
thou that my lord Elijah?
11-18:17 And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab
said unto him, Art
thou he that troubleth Israel?
11-18:36 And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening
sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of
Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God
in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
11-18:37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know
that thou art
the LORD God, and that thou hast
turned their heart back again.
11-20:36 Then said he unto him, Because thou hast not obeyed
the voice of the LORD, behold, as soon as thou art
departed from me, a lion shall slay thee. And as soon as he was departed from
him, a lion found him, and slew him.
11-22:4 And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle
to Ramothgilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my
horses as thy horses.
12-1:4 Now therefore thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not come
down from that bed on which thou art gone up,
but shalt surely die. And Elijah departed.
12-1:6 And they said unto him, There came a man up to meet
us, and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the king that sent you, and say unto
him, Thus saith the LORD, Is it not
because there is not a God in Israel,
that thou sendest to enquire of
Baalzebub the god of Ekron? therefore thou shalt not come down from that bed on
which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.
12-1:16 And he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch
as thou hast sent messengers to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron, is it not because there is no God in Israel to enquire of his word? therefore thou
shalt not come down off that bed on which thou art
gone up, but shalt surely die.
12-3:7 And he went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah,
saying, The king of Moab hath rebelled against me: wilt thou go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will
go up: I am as thou art, my people as thy people, and my horses as thy horses.
12-4:4 And when thou art come
in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out
into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
12-19:15 And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O LORD
God of Israel, which dwellest between the
cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of
the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.
12-19:19 Now therefore, O LORD our God, I beseech thee, save
thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the
LORD God, even thou only.
13-17:26 And now, LORD, thou art
God, and hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:
13-29:11 Thine, O LORD, is
the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the
majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art
exalted as head above all.
14-14:11 And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether
with many, or with them that have no power:
help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against
this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.
14-16:14 And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had
made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled
with sweet odours and divers kinds of
spices prepared by the apothecaries’ art: and they made a very great burning
for him.
14-18:3 And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of
Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramothgilead? And he answered him, I am as thou art, and my people as thy people;
and we will be with thee in the war.
14-20:6 And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not
thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou
over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand
thee?
14-20:7 Art not thou our God, who
didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and
gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?
14-25:16 And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Art thou made of the king’s counsel? forbear; why
shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God
hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened
unto my counsel.
15-7:14 Forasmuch as thou art
sent of the king, and of his seven counsellors, to enquire concerning Judah and
Jerusalem, according to the law of thy God which is in thine hand;
15-9:15 O LORD God of Israel, thou art righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as it
is this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee
because of this.
16-2:2 Wherefore the king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not
sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was
very sore afraid,
16-9:6 Thou, even thou,
art LORD
alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the
earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them
all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
16-9:7 Thou art the LORD the God, who didst choose Abram, and
broughtest him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of
Abraham;
16-9:8 And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and
madest a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites,
the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to
give it, I say, to his seed, and hast
performed thy words; for thou art righteous:
16-9:17 And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy
wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their
rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.
16-9:31 Nevertheless for thy great mercies’ sake thou didst
not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.
16-9:33 Howbeit thou art just in all that is brought upon us; for thou
hast done right, but we have done wickedly:
17-4:14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time,
then shall there enlargement and
deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s
house shall be destroyed: and who
knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for
such a time as this?
18-4:5 But now it is come upon thee, and thou faintest; it
toucheth thee, and thou art troubled.
18-15:7 Art thou the first man that
was born? or wast thou made before the hills?
18-17:14 I have said to corruption, Thou art my father: to the worm, Thou art my mother, and my sister.
18-22:3 Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is
it gain to him, that thou makest
thy ways perfect?
18-30:21 Thou art become cruel
to me: with thy strong hand thou
opposest thyself against me.
18-31:24 If I have made gold my hope, or have said to the fine
gold, Thou art
my confidence;
18-33:12 Behold, in this
thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.
18-34:18 Is it fit to say to a king, Thou
art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?
18-35:8 Thy wickedness may
hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.
19-2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten
thee.
19-3:3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up
of mine head.
19-5:4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
19-8:4 What is man, that thou art
mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
19-10:14 Thou hast seen it: for thou beholdest mischief and
spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee;
thou art the helper of the fatherless.
19-16:2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my
Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
19-22:1 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou
so far from helping me, and from the
words of my roaring?
19-22:3 But thou art holy, O
thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
19-22:9 But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts.
19-22:10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly.
19-23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of
death, I will fear no evil: for thou
art with
me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
19-25:5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all
the day.
19-31:3 For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy
name’s sake lead me, and guide me.
19-31:4 Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for
me: for thou art my strength.
19-31:14 But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.
19-32:7 Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from
trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
19-40:17 But I am poor
and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon
me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make
no tarrying, O my God.
19-42:5 Why art thou cast down,
O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
19-42:11 Why art thou cast down,
O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within
me? hope thou in God: for I shall
yet praise him, who is the health of
my countenance, and my God.
19-43:2 For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the
oppression of the enemy?
19-43:5 Why art thou cast down,
O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within
me? hope in God: for I shall yet
praise him, who is the health of my
countenance, and my God.
19-44:4 Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.
19-45:2 Thou art fairer than
the children of men: grace is poured
into thy lips: therefore God hath
blessed thee for ever.
19-63:1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth
for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
19-65:5 By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us,
O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth,
and of them that are afar off upon the
sea:
19-66:3 Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the
greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
19-68:35 O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power
unto his people. Blessed be God.
19-70:5 But I am poor
and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O
LORD, make no tarrying.
19-71:3 Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may
continually resort: thou hast given
commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.
19-71:5 For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.
19-71:6 By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art
he that took me out of my mother’s bowels:
my praise shall be continually of
thee.
19-71:7 I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my
strong refuge.
19-76:4 Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.
19-76:7 Thou, even thou,
art to
be feared: and who may stand in thy
sight when once thou art angry?
19-77:14 Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people.
19-83:18 That men may
know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH,
art the
most high over all the earth.
19-86:5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in
mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
19-86:10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.
19-86:15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious,
longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
19-89:17 For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be
exalted.
19-89:26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock
of my salvation.
19-90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou
hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting,
thou art God.
19-92:8 But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.
19-93:2 Thy throne is established
of old: thou art from everlasting.
19-97:9 For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all
gods.
19-102:27 But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.
19-104:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art
clothed with honour and majesty.
19-110:4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a
priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
19-118:21 I will praise thee:
for thou hast heard me, and art become my
salvation.
19-118:28 Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou
art my God, I will exalt thee.
19-119:12 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
19-119:57 CHETH. Thou art my
portion, O LORD: I have said that I
would keep thy words.
19-119:68 Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.
19-119:114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
19-119:137 TZADDI.
Righteous art
thou, O LORD, and upright are thy
judgments.
19-119:151 Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth.
19-137:8 O daughter of Babylon, who art
to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that
rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.
19-139:3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with
all my ways.
19-139:8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
19-140:6 I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.
19-142:5 I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and
my portion in the land of the living.
19-143:10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good;
lead me into the land of uprightness.
20-6:2 Thou art snared with
the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the
words of thy mouth.
20-6:3 Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble
thyself, and make sure thy friend.
20-7:4 Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call
understanding thy kinswoman:
20-24:24 He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous;
him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:
21-10:17 Blessed art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes
eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!
22-1:15 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair;
thou hast doves’ eyes.
22-1:16 Behold, thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed is green.
22-2:14 O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy
countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.
22-4:1 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair;
thou hast doves’ eyes within thy
locks: thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead.
22-4:7 Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.
22-6:4 Thou art beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah, comely as
Jerusalem, terrible as an army with
banners.
22-7:6 How fair and how pleasant art
thou, O love, for delights!
23-14:8 Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.
23-14:10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?
23-14:12 How art thou fallen
from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how
art thou cut down to the ground, which didst
weaken the nations!
23-14:19 But thou art cast out
of thy grave like an abominable branch, and
as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that
go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
23-14:31 Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a
smoke, and none shall be alone in his
appointed times.
23-22:1 The burden of the valley of vision. What aileth thee
now, that thou art wholly gone up to the
housetops?
23-22:2 Thou that art full of
stirs, a tumultuous city, a joyous city:
thy slain men are not slain with the
sword, nor dead in battle.
23-25:1 O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy
name; for thou hast done wonderful things;
thy counsels of old are faithfulness
and truth.
23-26:15 Thou hast increased the nation, O LORD, thou hast
increased the nation: thou art glorified:
thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth.
23-37:16 O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the
God, even thou alone, of all the
kingdoms of the earth: thou hast
made heaven and earth.
23-37:20 Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand,
that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD, even thou only.
23-41:8 But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed
of Abraham my friend.
23-41:9 Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and
called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my
servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.
23-43:1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O
Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
23-44:17 And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and
worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it,
and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.
23-44:21 Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my
servant: I have formed thee; thou art my
servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be
forgotten of me.
23-45:15 Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel,
the Saviour.
23-47:8 Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures,
that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:
23-47:13 Thou art wearied in the
multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly
prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.
23-48:4 Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;
23-49:3 And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I
will be glorified.
23-51:9 Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD;
awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab,
and wounded the dragon?
23-51:10 Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of
the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to
pass over?
23-51:12 I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be
afraid of a man that shall die, and
of the son of man which shall be made
as grass;
23-51:16 And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have
covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay
the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.
23-57:8 Behind the doors also and the posts hast thou set up
thy remembrance: for thou hast
discovered thyself to another than
me, and art gone up; thou hast enlarged thy bed,
and made thee a covenant with them;
thou lovedst their bed where thou sawest it.
23-57:10 Thou art wearied in the
greatness of thy way; yet saidst thou
not, There is no hope: thou hast
found the life of thine hand; therefore thou wast not grieved.
23-63:2 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments
like him that treadeth in the winefat?
23-63:16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us,
and Israel acknowledge us not: thou,
O LORD, art
our father, our redeemer; thy name is
from everlasting.
23-64:5 Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh
righteousness, those that remember
thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.
23-64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and
we all are the work of thy hand.
24-2:21 Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right
seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange
vine unto me?
24-2:23 How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone
after Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: thou
art a swift dromedary traversing her ways;
24-2:27 Saying to a stock, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou
hast brought me forth: for they have
turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save
us.
24-3:4 Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father,
thou art the
guide of my youth?
24-3:22 Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for
thou art the
LORD our God.
24-4:30 And when thou
art spoiled,
what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou
deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with
painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life.
24-10:6 Forasmuch as there
is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.
24-12:1 Righteous art thou, O LORD, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are all they happy that deal
very treacherously?
24-12:2 Thou hast planted them, yea, they have taken root: they grow, yea, they bring forth
fruit: thou art near in their mouth, and far
from their reins.
24-14:9 Why shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty
man that cannot save? yet thou, O
LORD, art in
the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not.
24-14:22 Are there any among
the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give
showers? art
not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these things.
24-15:6 Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward:
therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary
with repenting.
24-17:14 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I
shall be saved: for thou art my
praise.
24-17:17 Be not a terror unto me: thou art my hope in the day of evil.
24-20:7 O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou art
stronger than I, and hast prevailed:
I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me.
24-22:6 For thus saith the LORD unto the king’s house of
Judah; Thou art
Gilead unto me, and the head of
Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not
inhabited.
24-31:18 I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; Thou hast chastised me, and I was
chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to
the yoke: turn thou me, and I
shall be turned; for thou art the LORD my God.
24-39:17 But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the
hand of the men of whom thou art afraid.
24-49:12 For thus saith the LORD; Behold, they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have
assuredly drunken; and art thou he that
shall altogether go unpunished? thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou
shalt surely drink of it.
24-50:24 I have laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O Babylon, and thou wast not aware: thou art
found, and also caught, because thou hast striven against the LORD.
24-51:20 Thou art my battle ax and weapons of war: for with
thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;
25-5:22 But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.
26-3:5 For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and
of an hard language, but to the house
of Israel;
26-16:7 I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field,
and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art
come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine
hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked
and bare.
26-16:34 And the contrary is in thee from other women in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit
whoredoms: and in that thou givest a
reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary.
26-16:45 Thou art thy mother’s daughter, that loatheth her
husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, which loathed their
husbands and their children: your
mother was an Hittite, and your
father an Amorite.
26-16:54 That thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be
confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art
a comfort unto them.
26-22:4 Thou art become guilty
in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which
thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto
thy years: therefore have I made
thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.
26-22:5 Those that be
near, and those that be far from thee, shall mock thee, which art infamous and much vexed.
26-22:24 Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed,
nor rained upon in the day of indignation.
26-23:30 I will do these things
unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, and because thou art polluted with their idols.
26-26:17 And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say
to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men,
the renowned city, which wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which
cause their terror to be on all that
haunt it!
26-27:3 And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea, which art a
merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou
hast said, I am of perfect beauty.
26-28:2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith
the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted
up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I
sit in the seat of God, in the midst
of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine
heart as the heart of God:
26-28:3 Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that
they can hide from thee:
26-28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have
set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up
and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
26-31:2 Son of man, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to
his multitude; Whom art thou like in thy
greatness?
26-31:18 To whom art thou thus
like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet shalt thou be
brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thou shalt lie in the midst of the
uncircumcised with them that be slain
by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all
his multitude, saith the Lord GOD.
26-32:2 Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of
Egypt, and say unto him, Thou art like a young
lion of the nations, and thou art as a whale in the seas: and thou camest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters
with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers.
26-33:32 And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that
hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.
26-38:13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with
all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art
thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to
carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great
spoil?
26-38:17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in
old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee
against them?
26-40:4 And the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with
thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thine heart upon all that I shall
shew thee; for to the intent that I might shew them unto thee art thou brought hither: declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel.
27-2:26 The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I
have seen, and the interpretation thereof?
27-2:37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and
strength, and glory.
27-2:38 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts
of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and
hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.
27-4:18 This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou,
O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make
known unto me the interpretation:
but thou art
able; for the spirit of the holy gods is
in thee.
27-4:22 It is thou,
O king, that art grown and become strong: for thy greatness is grown, and
reacheth unto heaven, and thy dominion to the end of the earth.
27-5:13 Then was Daniel brought in before the king. And the king spake and said unto Daniel,
Art thou
that Daniel, which art of the children of the captivity of Judah,
whom the king my father brought out of Jewry?
27-5:27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed
in the balances, and art found wanting.
27-9:23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment
came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for
thou art greatly
beloved: therefore understand the
matter, and consider the vision.
28-2:23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will
have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my
people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.
31-1:2 Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art
greatly despised.
31-1:5 If thieves came to thee, if robbers by night, (how art thou cut off!) would they not have stolen till
they had enough? if the grapegatherers came to thee, would they not leave some grapes?
32-1:8 Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for
whose cause this evil is upon us;
What is thine occupation? and whence
comest thou? what is thy country? and
of what people art
thou?
32-4:2 And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O
LORD, was not this my saying, when I
was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a
