the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man.

according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

behold, he stood by the camels at the well.
01-24:55 And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel

his name Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bare him.

ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke.
01-43:16 And when Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the
ruler of his house, Bring these men
home, and slay, and make ready; for these
men shall dine with me at noon.
01-43:18 And the men were afraid, because they were brought into
Joseph’s house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our
sacks at the first time are we brought in; that
he may seek occasion against us, and fall upon us, and take us for bondmen, and
our asses.
01-43:19 And they came near to the steward of Joseph’s house,
and they communed with him at the door of the
house,

for they heard that they should eat bread there.
01-43:33 And they sat before him, the firstborn according to

morning he shall devour the prey, and at night
he shall divide the spoil.

the river; and her maidens walked along by the river’s side; and when she saw

done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.

02-9:14 For I will at this time
send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy
people; that thou mayest know that there
is none like me in all the earth.

all with water, but roast with fire;

Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the
LORD hath brought you out from the land of Egypt:

shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God.

all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring
unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee.
02-18:26 And they judged the people at
all seasons: the hard causes they
brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.
02-19:15 And he said unto the people, Be ready against the
third day: come not at your wives.
02-19:17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to
meet with God; and they stood at the nether part
of the mount.
02-22:23 If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry;
02-22:26 If thou at all take thy
neighbour’s raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him by that the sun
goeth down:
02-28:7 It shall have the two shoulder pieces thereof joined at the two edges thereof; and so it shall be joined together.
02-28:14 And two chains of
pure gold at the ends; of wreathen work shalt thou make them, and fasten the wreathen
chains to the ouches.
02-28:22 And thou shalt make upon the breastplate chains at the ends of wreathen
work of pure gold.
02-29:39 The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning; and the
other lamb thou shalt offer at even:
02-29:41 And the other lamb thou shalt offer at even, and shalt do thereto according to the meat
offering of the morning, and according to the drink offering thereof, for a
sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
02-29:42 This shall be
a continual burnt offering throughout
your generations at
the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD: where I will meet you, to speak there
unto thee.

tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses.
02-33:10 And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the
tabernacle door: and all the people
rose up and worshipped, every man in his
tent door.
02-34:22 And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the
firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year’s end.
02-35:15 And the incense altar, and his staves, and the
anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the hanging for the door at the entering in of the tabernacle,
02-36:29 And they were coupled beneath, and coupled together at the head thereof, to one ring: thus he did to both of them in both the corners.

brass, of the lookingglasses of the
women assembling, which assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

work of pure gold.

a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own
voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of
the congregation before the LORD.
03-1:15 And the priest shall bring it unto the altar, and
wring off his head, and burn it on
the altar; and the blood thereof shall be wrung out at
the side of the altar:
03-3:2 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his
offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron’s sons the priests shall
sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.
03-4:7 And the priest shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar of sweet incense
before the LORD, which is in the
tabernacle of the congregation; and shall pour all the blood of the bullock at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering,
which is at
the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
03-4:18 And he shall put some
of the blood upon the horns of the altar which is before the LORD, that is in
the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall pour out all the blood at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering,
which is at
the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
03-4:25 And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin
offering with his finger, and put it upon
the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out his blood at the bottom of the altar of burnt offering.
03-4:30 And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with
his finger, and put it upon the horns
of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar.
03-4:34 And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin
offering with his finger, and put it upon
the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood
thereof at the bottom of the altar:
03-5:9 And he shall sprinkle of the blood of the sin offering
upon the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be wrung out at the bottom of the altar: it is a sin offering.
03-6:20 This is the
offering of Aaron and of his sons, which they shall offer unto the LORD in the
day when he is anointed; the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a meat
offering perpetual, half of it in the morning, and half thereof at night.
03-7:18 And if any of
the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings be eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted,
neither shall it be imputed unto him that offereth it: it shall be an abomination, and the soul that eateth of it shall
bear his iniquity.
03-8:15 And he slew it; and
Moses took the blood, and put it upon
the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and
poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and
sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it.
03-8:31 And Moses said unto Aaron and to his sons, Boil the
flesh at the
door of the tabernacle of the congregation:
and there eat it with the bread that is in
the basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his sons shall
eat it.
03-8:33 And ye shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle
of the congregation in seven days,
until the days of your consecration be at an end: for seven days shall he consecrate
you.
03-8:35 Therefore shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye
die not: for so I am commanded.
03-9:9 And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him: and he dipped his finger in the
blood, and put it upon the horns of
the altar, and poured out the blood at the
bottom of the altar:
03-13:5 And the priest shall look on him the seventh day: and, behold, if the plague in his sight be at a
stay, and the plague spread not in
the skin; then the priest shall shut him up seven days more:
03-13:37 But if the scall be in his sight at a stay, and that
there is black hair grown up therein; the scall is healed, he is clean: and the priest shall pronounce him clean.
03-14:11 And the priest that maketh him clean shall present the man that is to be made clean, and those
things, before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:
03-15:24 And if any man lie with her at
all, and her flowers be upon him, he shall be unclean seven days; and all the
bed whereon he lieth shall be unclean.
03-16:2 And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy
brother, that he come not at all times into the
holy place within the vail before the
mercy seat, which is upon the ark;
that he die not: for I will appear
in the cloud upon the mercy seat.
03-16:7 And he shall take the two goats, and present them
before the LORD at
the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
03-16:29 And this shall
be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your
souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country,
or a stranger that sojourneth among you:
03-17:6 And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar
of the LORD at
the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a
sweet savour unto the LORD.
03-18:9 The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy
father, or daughter of thy mother, whether
she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not
uncover.
03-19:5 And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto
the LORD, ye shall offer it at your own will.
03-19:7 And if it be eaten at
all on the third day, it is abominable;
it shall not be accepted.
03-19:20 And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband,
and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her;
she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not
free.
03-22:19 Ye shall
offer at your own will a male without blemish, of the beeves,
of the sheep, or of the goats.
03-22:29 And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving
unto the LORD, offer it at your own will.
03-23:5 In the fourteenth day
of the first month at even is the Lord’s passover.
03-23:32 It shall be unto
you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the
month at even, from even unto even, shall ye
celebrate your sabbath.
03-25:32 Notwithstanding the cities of the Levites, and the houses of the cities of their
possession, may the Levites redeem at any time.
03-26:32 And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein
shall be astonished at it.
03-27:10 He shall not alter it, nor change it, a good for a
bad, or a bad for a good: and if he
shall at all change beast for beast, then it and
the exchange thereof shall be holy.
03-27:13 But if he will at all
redeem it, then he shall add a fifth part
thereof unto thy estimation.
03-27:16 And if a man shall sanctify unto the LORD some part of a field of his possession,
then thy estimation shall be according to the seed thereof: an homer of barley seed shall
be valued at fifty shekels of silver.
03-27:31 And if a man will at
all redeem ought of his tithes, he
shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.
03-27:33 He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither
shall he change it: and if he change
it at all, then both it and the change thereof
shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.
04-3:39 All that were numbered of the Levites, which Moses and
Aaron numbered at the commandment of the LORD,
throughout their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty and two thousand.
04-4:27 At the
appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the
Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burdens.
04-6:6 All the days that he separateth himself unto the LORD he shall come at
no dead body.
04-6:18 And the Nazarite shall shave the head of his
separation at
the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall take the hair of
the head of his separation, and put it in
the fire which is under the sacrifice
of the peace offerings.
04-9:2 Let the children of Israel also keep the passover at his appointed season.
04-9:3 In the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in his appointed season: according to all the rites of it, and
according to all the ceremonies thereof, shall ye keep it.
04-9:5 And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of
the first month at even in the wilderness of
Sinai: according to all that the
LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.
04-9:11 The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
04-9:15 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the
cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the
tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the
appearance of fire, until the morning.
04-9:18 At the
commandment of the LORD the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the
tabernacle they rested in their tents.
04-9:23 At the
commandment of the LORD they rested in the tents, and at
the commandment of the LORD they journeyed:
they kept the charge of the LORD, at the
commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
04-10:3 And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly
shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of
the tabernacle of the congregation.
04-11:6 But now our soul is
dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this
manna, before our eyes.
04-11:20 But even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised the
LORD which is among you, and have
wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?
04-11:35 And the people journeyed from Kibrothhattaavah unto
Hazeroth; and abode at Hazeroth.
04-13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said,
Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are
well able to overcome it.
04-16:34 And all Israel that were round about them fled at the
cry of them: for they said, Lest the
earth swallow us up also.
04-19:19 And the clean person
shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall
purify himself, and wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be
clean at even.
04-20:24 Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land
which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my
word at the water of Meribah.
04-21:11 And they journeyed from Oboth, and pitched at Ijeabarim, in the wilderness which is before Moab, toward the sunrising.
04-21:15 And at the stream of
the brooks that goeth down to the dwelling of Ar, and lieth upon the border of
Moab.
04-21:30 We have shot at them;
Heshbon is perished even unto Dibon, and we have laid them waste even unto
Nophah, which reacheth unto Medeba.
04-21:33 And they turned and went up by the way of Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan went out
against them, he, and all his people, to the battle at
Edrei.
04-21:34 And the LORD said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into thy hand,
and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do to him as thou didst unto
Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at
Heshbon.
04-22:4 And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now shall
this company lick up all that are round
about us, as the ox licketh up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of
Zippor was king of the Moabites at that time.
04-22:20 And God came unto Balaam at
night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which
I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do.
04-22:38 And Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto thee: have I now any power at all to say any thing? the word that God putteth in
my mouth, that shall I speak.
04-23:25 And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at
all.
04-24:1 And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless
Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek
for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
04-27:14 For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert
of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of
Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.
04-27:21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who
shall ask counsel for him after the
judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the
congregation.
04-28:4 The one lamb shalt thou offer in the morning, and the
other lamb shalt thou offer at even;

the meat offering of the morning, and as the drink offering thereof, thou shalt
offer it, a sacrifice made by fire,
of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
04-30:4 And her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith
she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her:
then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul
shall stand.
04-30:6 And if she had at all
an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she
bound her soul;
04-30:7 And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the
day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound
her soul shall stand.
04-30:11 And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and disallowed her not: then all her vows shall stand, and
every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
04-30:14 But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all her
vows, or all her bonds, which are upon
her: he confirmeth them, because he
held his peace at her in the day that he heard them.
04-31:12 And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the
spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the
children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains
of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho.
04-33:14 And they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, where was no water for the people to
drink.
04-33:16 And they removed from the desert of Sinai, and pitched
at Kibrothhattaavah.
04-33:17 And they departed from Kibrothhattaavah, and encamped at Hazeroth.
04-33:19 And they departed from Rithmah, and pitched at Rimmonparez.
04-33:21 And they removed from Libnah, and pitched at Rissah.
04-33:26 And they removed from Makheloth, and encamped at Tahath.
04-33:27 And they departed from Tahath, and pitched at Tarah.
04-33:30 And they departed from Hashmonah, and encamped at Moseroth.
04-33:32 And they removed from Benejaakan, and encamped at Horhagidgad.
04-33:34 And they removed from Jotbathah, and encamped at Ebronah.
04-33:35 And they departed from Ebronah, and encamped at Eziongaber.
04-33:38 And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the
fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt,
in the first day of the fifth month.
04-34:5 And the border shall fetch a compass from Azmon unto
the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at
the sea.
04-34:9 And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings
out of it shall be at Hazarenan: this shall be your north border.
04-34:12 And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings
out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the
coasts thereof round about.
04-35:11 Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of
refuge for you; that the slayer may flee thither, which killeth any person at unawares.
04-35:20 But if he thrust him of hatred, or hurl at him by laying of wait, that he die;
04-35:26 But if the slayer shall at
any time come without the border of the city of his refuge, whither he was
fled;
05-1:4 After he had slain Sihon the king of the Amorites,
which dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, which dwelt at Astaroth in Edrei:
05-1:9 And I spake unto you at
that time, saying, I am not able to bear you myself alone:
05-1:16 And I charged your judges at
that time, saying, Hear the causes between
your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.
05-1:18 And I commanded you at
that time all the things which ye should do.
05-2:32 Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people,
to fight at Jahaz.
05-2:34 And we took all his cities at
that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones,
of every city, we left none to remain:
05-3:1 Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out
against us, he and all his people, to battle at
Edrei.
05-3:2 And the LORD said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his
people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst
unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at
Heshbon.
05-3:4 And we took all his cities at
that time, there was not a city which we took not from them, threescore cities,
all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
05-3:8 And we took at that
time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river
of Arnon unto mount Hermon;
05-3:12 And this land, which
we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which
is by the river Arnon, and half mount
Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites.
05-3:18 And I commanded you at
that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your
brethren the children of Israel, all that
are meet for the war.
05-3:21 And I commanded Joshua at
that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done
unto these two kings: so shall the
LORD do unto all the kingdoms whither thou passest.
05-3:23 And I besought the LORD at
that time, saying,
05-4:14 And the LORD commanded me at
that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the
land whither ye go over to possess it.
05-4:46 On this side Jordan, in the valley over against
Bethpeor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel
smote, after they were come forth out of Egypt:
05-5:5 (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were afraid by reason of the
fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying,
05-6:24 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to
fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as
it is at
this day.
05-7:21 Thou shalt not be affrighted at
them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.
05-7:22 And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before
thee by little and little: thou
mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts
of the field increase upon thee.
05-8:16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy
fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to
do thee good at thy latter end;
05-8:19 And it shall be, if thou do at
all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and
worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
05-9:11 And it came to pass at
the end of forty days and forty nights, that
the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant.
05-9:18 And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink
water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight
of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
05-9:19 For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure,
wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened
unto me at that time also.
05-9:22 And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at
Kibrothhattaavah, ye provoked the LORD to wrath.
05-9:25 Thus I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty
nights, as I fell down at the first; because the LORD had said he would
destroy you.
05-10:1 At
that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the
first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
05-10:8 At
that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant
of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister unto him, and to bless in his
name, unto this day.
05-10:10 And I stayed in the mount, according to the first
time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also, and
the LORD would not destroy thee.
05-14:28 At the
end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the
same year, and shalt lay it up within
thy gates:
05-15:1 At the
end of every seven years thou shalt
make a release.
05-15:9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked
heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor
brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and
it be sin unto thee.
05-16:4 And there shall be no leavened bread seen with thee in
all thy coast seven days; neither shall there any thing of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst the first day at even, remain all night until the morning.
05-16:6 But at the place which
the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice
the passover at even, at
the going down of the sun, at the season that
thou camest forth out of Egypt.
05-17:6 At the
mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be
put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to
death.
05-19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any
iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be
established.
05-21:14 And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then
thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not sell her at all for money, thou shalt not make merchandise of
her, because thou hast humbled her.
05-23:24 When thou comest into thy neighbour’s vineyard, then
thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own
pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in
thy vessel.
05-24:5 When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out
to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he
hath taken.
05-24:15 At his
day thou shalt give him his hire,
neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee.
05-28:29 And thou shalt grope at
noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy
ways: and thou shalt be only
oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.
05-28:67 In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even!
and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were
morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the
sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
05-31:10 And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every
seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of
tabernacles,
05-32:35 To me belongeth vengeance,
and recompence; their foot shall slide in due
time: for the day of their
calamity is at
hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.
05-32:51 Because ye trespassed against me among the children of
Israel at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin;
because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.
05-33:3 Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.
05-33:8 And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be
with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at
Massah, and with whom thou didst
strive at the waters of Meribah;
06-5:2 At
that time the LORD said unto Joshua, Make thee sharp knives, and circumcise
again the children of Israel the second time.
06-5:3 And Joshua made him sharp knives, and circumcised the
children of Israel at the hill of the foreskins.
06-5:10 And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and
kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at
even in the plains of Jericho.
06-6:16 And it came to pass at
the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the
people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city.
06-6:26 And Joshua adjured them
at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that riseth
up and buildeth this city Jericho:
he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.
06-7:7 And Joshua said, Alas, O Lord GOD, wherefore hast thou
at all brought this people over Jordan, to
deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had
been content, and dwelt on the other side Jordan!
06-8:5 And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will flee before them,
06-8:6 (For they will come out after us) till we have drawn
them from the city; for they will say, They flee before us, as at the first:
therefore we will flee before them.
06-8:14 And it came to pass, when the king of Ai saw it, that they hasted and rose up early,
and the men of the city went out against Israel to battle, he and all his
people, at a time appointed, before the plain;
but he wist not that there were liers
in ambush against him behind the city.
06-8:29 And the king of Ai he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down,
Joshua commanded that they should take his carcase down from the tree, and cast
it at the entering of the gate of the city, and
raise thereon a great heap of stones, that
remaineth unto this day.
06-9:6 And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men of
Israel, We be come from a far country:
now therefore make ye a league with us.
06-9:10 And all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites,
that were beyond Jordan, to Sihon
king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, which was at Ashtaroth.
06-9:14 And the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at
the mouth of the LORD.
06-9:16 And it came to pass at
the end of three days after they had made a league with them, that they heard
that they were their neighbours, and that they dwelt among them.
06-10:10 And the LORD discomfited them before Israel, and slew
them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and
chased them along the way that goeth up to Bethhoron, and smote them to Azekah,
and unto Makkedah.
06-10:16 But these five kings fled, and hid themselves in a
cave at Makkedah.
06-10:17 And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are
found hid in a cave at Makkedah.
06-10:21 And all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in peace: none moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel.
06-10:27 And it came to pass at
the time of the going down of the sun, that
Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into
the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave’s mouth, which remain until this very day.
06-10:42 And all these kings and their land did Joshua take at one time, because the LORD God of Israel fought for
Israel.
06-11:5 And when all these kings were met together, they came
and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to
fight against Israel.
06-11:10 And Joshua at that time
turned back, and took Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the sword: for Hazor beforetime was the head of
all those kingdoms.
06-11:21 And at that time came
Joshua, and cut off the Anakims from the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir,
from Anab, and from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of
Israel: Joshua destroyed them
utterly with their cities.
06-12:4 And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants,
that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,
06-15:4 From thence it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto the river of
Egypt; and the goings out of that coast were at
the sea: this shall be your south
coast.
06-15:5 And the east border was the salt sea, even unto
the end of Jordan. And their border
in the north quarter was from the bay
of the sea at the uttermost part of Jordan:
06-15:7 And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of
Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of Enshemesh, and the
goings out thereof were at Enrogel:
06-15:8 And the border went up by the valley of the son of
Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the
border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the
end of the valley of the giants northward:
06-15:11 And the border went out unto the side of Ekron
northward: and the border was drawn
to Shicron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out unto Jabneel; and
the goings out of the border were at the sea.
06-15:63 As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the
children of Judah could not drive them out:
but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at
Jerusalem unto this day.
06-16:3 And goeth down westward to the coast of Japhleti, unto
the coast of Bethhoron the nether, and to Gezer: and the goings out thereof are at the
sea.
06-16:7 And it went down from Janohah to Ataroth, and to
Naarath, and came to Jericho, and went out at
Jordan.
06-16:8 The border went out from Tappuah westward unto the
river Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at
the sea. This is the inheritance of
the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families.
06-17:9 And the coast descended unto the river Kanah,
southward of the river: these cities
of Ephraim are among the cities of
Manasseh: the coast of Manasseh also
was on the north side of the river,
and the outgoings of it were at the sea:
06-18:1 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel
assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the
tabernacle of the congregation there. And the land was subdued before them.
06-18:9 And the men went and passed through the land, and
described it by cities into seven parts in a book, and came again to Joshua to the host at Shiloh.
06-18:12 And their border on the north side was from Jordan;
and the border went up to the side of Jericho on the north side, and went up
through the mountains westward; and the goings out thereof were at the wilderness of Bethaven.
06-18:14 And the border was drawn thence, and compassed the corner of the sea southward, from the
hill that lieth before Bethhoron
southward; and the goings out thereof were at
Kirjathbaal, which is Kirjathjearim,
a city of the children of Judah:
this was the west quarter.
06-18:19 And the border passed along to the side of Bethhoglah
northward: and the outgoings of the
border were at the north bay of the salt sea at the south end of Jordan: this was the south
coast.
06-19:22 And the coast reacheth to Tabor, and Shahazimah, and
Bethshemesh; and the outgoings of their border were at
Jordan: sixteen cities with their
villages.
06-19:29 And then the
coast turneth to Ramah, and to the strong city Tyre; and the coast turneth to
Hosah; and the outgoings thereof are at the sea
from the coast to Achzib:
06-19:33 And their coast was from Heleph, from Allon to
Zaanannim, and Adami, Nekeb, and Jabneel, unto Lakum; and the outgoings thereof
were at Jordan:
06-19:51 These are the
inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the
heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, divided for an
inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the LORD, at
the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. So they made an end of dividing
the country.
06-20:4 And when he that doth flee unto one of those cities
shall stand at the entering of the gate of the
city, and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city, they
shall take him into the city unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell
among them.
06-20:9 These were the cities appointed for all the children
of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever
killeth any person at unawares might flee thither, and not die by the
hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation.
06-21:2 And they spake unto them at
Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses
to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle.
06-21:3 And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out
of their inheritance, at the commandment of the
LORD, these cities and their suburbs.
06-22:11 And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the
children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh have
built an altar over against the land of Canaan, in the borders of Jordan, at the passage of the children of Israel.
06-22:12 And when the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the
children of Israel gathered themselves together at
Shiloh, to go up to war against them.
07-3:2 Only that the generations of the children of Israel
might know, to teach them war, at the least such
as before knew nothing thereof;
07-3:29 And they slew of Moab at
that time about ten thousand men, all lusty, and all men of valour; and there
escaped not a man.
07-4:4 And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she
judged Israel at that time.
07-4:10 And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and
he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.
07-5:27 At her
feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down:
at her feet he bowed, he fell: where he bowed, there he fell down
dead.
07-5:28 The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, Why is his
chariot so long in coming? why tarry
the wheels of his chariots?
07-7:25 And they took two princes of the Midianites, Oreb and
Zeeb; and they slew Oreb upon the rock Oreb, and Zeeb they slew at the winepress of Zeeb, and pursued Midian, and
brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon on the other side Jordan.
07-8:18 Then said he unto Zebah and Zalmunna, What manner of
men were they whom ye slew at Tabor? And they answered, As thou art, so were they; each one resembled the children of a king.
07-9:5 And he went unto his father’s house at Ophrah, and slew his brethren the sons of
Jerubbaal, being threescore and ten
persons, upon one stone:
notwithstanding yet Jotham the youngest son of Jerubbaal was left; for he hid
himself.
07-9:41 And Abimelech dwelt at
Arumah: and Zebul thrust out Gaal
and his brethren, that they should not dwell in Shechem.
07-11:39 And it came to pass at
the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a
custom in Israel,
07-12:2 And Jephthah said unto them, I and my people were at great strife with the children of Ammon; and when I
called you, ye delivered me not out of their hands.
07-12:6 Then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not frame to pronounce it right. Then they took him, and slew
him at the passages of Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two
thousand.
07-12:10 Then died Ibzan, and was buried at Bethlehem.
07-13:23 But his wife said unto him, If the LORD were pleased
to kill us, he would not have received a burnt offering and a meat offering at our hands, neither would he have shewed us all
these things, nor would as at this time have told us such things as these.
07-13:25 And the spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.
07-14:4 But his father and his mother knew not that it was of the LORD, that he sought an
occasion against the Philistines:
for at that time the Philistines had dominion
over Israel.
07-16:3 And Samson lay till midnight, and arose at midnight, and took the doors of the gate of the
city, and the two posts, and went away with them, bar and all, and put them upon his shoulders, and carried
them up to the top of an hill that is before
Hebron.
07-16:20 And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I
will go out as at other times before, and shake
myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.
07-16:28 And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD,
remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O
God, that I may be at once avenged of the
Philistines for my two eyes.
07-16:30 And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And
he bowed himself with all his might;
and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.
07-18:27 And they took the
things which Micah had made, and the priest which he had, and came unto
Laish, unto a people that were at quiet and secure: and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and burnt the
city with fire.
07-18:29 And they called the name of the city Dan, after the
name of Dan their father, who was born unto Israel: howbeit the name of the city was
Laish at the first.
07-19:16 And, behold, there came an old man from his work out
of the field at even, which was also of mount Ephraim; and he sojourned in Gibeah: but the men of the place were Benjamites.
07-19:22 Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the
men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at
the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring
forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.
07-19:26 Then came the woman in the dawning of the day, and
fell down at the door of the man’s house where
her lord was, till it was light.
07-19:27 And her lord rose up in the morning, and opened the
doors of the house, and went out to go his way: and, behold, the woman his concubine was fallen down at the
door of the house, and her hands were upon
the threshold.
07-20:15 And the children of Benjamin were numbered at that time out of the cities twenty and six thousand
men that drew sword, beside the inhabitants of Gibeah, which were numbered
seven hundred chosen men.
07-20:16 Among all this people there were seven hundred chosen men lefthanded; every one could
sling stones at an hair breadth, and not miss.
07-20:20 And the men of Israel went out to battle against
Benjamin; and the men of Israel put themselves in array to fight against them at Gibeah.
07-20:30 And the children of Israel went up against the
children of Benjamin on the third day, and put themselves in array against
Gibeah, as at other times.
07-20:31 And the children of Benjamin went out against the
people, and were drawn away from the
city; and they began to smite of the people, and kill, as at other times, in the
highways, of which one goeth up to the house of God, and the other to Gibeah in
the field, about thirty men of Israel.
07-20:32 And the children of Benjamin said, They are smitten down before us, as at the first. But the children of Israel said, Let us
flee, and draw them from the city unto the highways.
07-20:33 And all the men of Israel rose up out of their place,
and put themselves in array at Baaltamar: and the liers in wait of Israel came forth
out of their places, even out of the
meadows of Gibeah.
07-21:14 And Benjamin came again at
that time; and they gave them wives which they had saved alive of the women of
Jabeshgilead: and yet so they
sufficed them not.
07-21:22 And it shall be, when their fathers or their brethren
come unto us to complain, that we will say unto them, Be favourable unto them
for our sakes: because we reserved
not to each man his wife in the war:
for ye did not give unto them at this time, that ye should be guilty.
07-21:24 And the children of Israel departed thence at that time, every man to his tribe and to his
family, and they went out from thence every man to his inheritance.
08-2:14 And Boaz said unto her, At
mealtime come thou hither, and eat of the bread, and dip thy morsel in the
vinegar. And she sat beside the reapers:
and he reached her parched corn, and
she did eat, and was sufficed, and left.
08-3:7 And when Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was
merry, he went to lie down at the end of the
heap of corn: and she came softly,
and uncovered his feet, and laid her down.
08-3:8 And it came to pass at
midnight, that the man was afraid, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his
feet.
08-3:10 And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou hast shewed
more kindness in the latter end than at the
beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich.
08-3:14 And she lay at his feet
until the morning: and she rose up
before one could know another. And he said, Let it not be known that a woman
came into the floor.
09-2:22 Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did
unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the
door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
09-2:29 Wherefore kick ye at my
sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have
commanded in my habitation; and
honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all
the offerings of Israel my people?
09-3:2 And it came to pass at
that time, when Eli was laid down in
his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that
he could not see;
09-3:10 And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered,
Speak; for thy servant heareth.
09-3:11 And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing
in Israel, at which both the ears of every one
that heareth it shall tingle.
09-6:10 And the men did so; and took two milch kine, and tied
them to the cart, and shut up their calves at
home:
09-9:8 And the servant answered Saul again, and said, Behold,
I have here at hand the fourth part of a shekel
of silver: that will I give to the man of God, to tell us our way.
09-10:2 When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt
find two men by Rachel’s sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses
which thou wentest to seek are found:
and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you,
saying, What shall I do for my son?
09-13:11 And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said,
Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves
together at Michmash;
09-14:18 And Saul said unto Ahiah, Bring hither the ark of God.
For the ark of God was at that time with the
children of Israel.
09-16:4 And Samuel did that which the LORD spake, and came to
Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at
his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?
09-17:1 Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to
battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh,
which belongeth to Judah, and pitched
between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammim.
09-17:15 But David went and returned from Saul to feed his
father’s sheep at Bethlehem.
09-18:10 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil
spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times:
and there was a javelin in Saul’s
hand.
09-18:19 But it came to pass at
the time when Merab Saul’s daughter should have been given to David, that she
was given unto Adriel the Meholathite to wife.
09-19:19 And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at
Naioth in Ramah.
09-19:22 Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well
that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are
Samuel and David? And one said,
Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.
09-20:5 And David said unto Jonathan, Behold, to morrow is the new moon, and I should not fail
to sit with the king at meat: but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field unto the third
day at
even.
09-20:6 If thy father at all
miss me, then say, David earnestly asked leave
of me that he might run to Bethlehem his city: for there is a yearly
sacrifice there for all the family.
09-20:16 So Jonathan made a
covenant with the house of David, saying,
Let the LORD even require it at the hand of David’s enemies.
09-20:20 And I will shoot three arrows on the side thereof, as though I shot at a mark.
09-20:25 And the king sat upon his seat, as at other times, even
upon a seat by the wall: and
Jonathan arose, and Abner sat by Saul’s side, and David’s place was empty.
09-20:33 And Saul cast a javelin at
him to smite him: whereby Jonathan
knew that it was determined of his father to slay David.
09-20:35 And it came to pass in the morning, that Jonathan went
out into the field at the time appointed with
David, and a little lad with him.
09-21:1 Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee?
09-21:4 And the priest answered David, and said, There is no common bread under mine
hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women.
09-22:8 That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my
son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that
my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
09-22:13 And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against
me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword,
and hast enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in
wait, as at this day?
09-22:14 Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as
David, which is the king’s son in law, and goeth at
thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house?
09-23:29 And David went up from thence, and dwelt in strong
holds at Engedi.
09-25:1 And Samuel died; and all the Israelites were gathered
together, and lamented him, and buried him in his house at Ramah. And David arose, and went down to the wilderness of
Paran.
09-25:24 And fell at his feet,
and said, Upon me, my lord, upon me let this iniquity be: and let thine
handmaid, I pray thee, speak in thine audience, and hear the words of thine
handmaid.
09-26:7 So David and Abishai came to the people by night: and, behold, Saul lay sleeping within
the trench, and his spear stuck in the ground at
his bolster: but Abner and the
people lay round about him.
09-26:8 Then said Abishai to David, God hath delivered thine enemy
into thine hand this day: now
therefore let me smite him, I pray thee, with the spear even to the earth at once, and I will not smite him the second time.
09-26:11 The LORD forbid that I should stretch forth mine hand
against the LORD’S anointed: but, I
pray thee, take thou now the spear that is
at his bolster, and the cruse of water, and
let us go.
09-26:16 This thing is not
good that thou hast done. As the LORD
liveth, ye are worthy to die, because
ye have not kept your master, the LORD’S anointed. And now see where the king’s
spear is, and the cruse of water that
was at
his bolster.
09-27:3 And David dwelt with Achish at
Gath, he and his men, every man with his household, even David with his two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and
Abigail the Carmelitess, Nabal’s wife.
09-28:7 Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that
hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his
servants said to him, Behold, there is a
woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.
09-30:8 And David enquired at
the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And
he answered him, Pursue: for thou
shalt surely overtake them, and
without fail recover all.
09-30:21 And David came to the two hundred men, which were so
faint that they could not follow David, whom they had made also to abide at the brook Besor:
and they went forth to meet David, and to meet the people that were with him: and when David came near to the people, he saluted them.
09-31:13 And they took their bones, and buried them under a tree at Jabesh, and fasted seven days.
10-2:32 And they took up Asahel, and buried him in the
sepulchre of his father, which was in Bethlehem.
And Joab and his men went all night, and they came to Hebron at break of day.
10-3:30 So Joab and Abishai his brother slew Abner, because he
had slain their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the
battle.
10-3:32 And they buried Abner in Hebron: and the king lifted up his voice, and wept at the grave of Abner; and all the people wept.
10-4:5 And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and
Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ishbosheth,
who lay on a bed at noon.
10-6:4 And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which
was at
Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God:
and Ahio went before the ark.
10-8:3 David smote also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of
Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the
river Euphrates.
10-9:7 And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father’s
sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat
bread at my table continually.
10-9:10 Thou therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall
till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master’s son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master’s son
shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had
fifteen sons and twenty servants.
10-9:11 Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my
lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for
Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall
eat at my table, as one of the king’s sons.
10-9:13 So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eat continually at the
king’s table; and was lame on both his feet.
10-10:5 When they told it
unto David, he sent to meet them, because the men were greatly ashamed: and the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return.
10-10:8 And the children of Ammon came out, and put the battle
in array at the entering in of the gate: and the Syrians of Zoba, and of
Rehob, and Ishtob, and Maacah, were by
themselves in the field.
10-11:1 And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all
Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But
David tarried still at Jerusalem.
10-11:9 But Uriah slept at the
door of the king’s house with all the servants of his lord, and went not down
to his house.
10-11:13 And when David had called him, he did eat and drink
before him; and he made him drunk:
and at even he went out to lie on his bed with
the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house.
10-13:5 And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed,
and make thyself sick: and when thy
father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come,
and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.
10-13:6 So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see
him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make
me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at
her hand.
10-14:26 And when he polled his head, (for it was at every year’s end that he polled it:
because the hair was heavy on
him, therefore he polled it:) he
weighed the hair of his head at two hundred
shekels after the king’s weight.
10-15:8 For thy servant vowed a vow while I abode at Geshur in Syria, saying, If the LORD shall bring me
again indeed to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD.
10-15:14 And David said unto all his servants that were with him at
Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape from Absalom:
make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and
smite the city with the edge of the sword.
10-16:3 And the king said, And where is thy master’s son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he
abideth at Jerusalem: for he said, To day shall the house of Israel restore me the
kingdom of my father.
10-16:6 And he cast stones at
David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty
men were on his right hand and on his
left.
10-16:13 And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went
along on the hill’s side over against him, and cursed as he went, and threw
stones at him, and cast dust.
10-16:23 And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in
those days, was as if a man had
enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.
10-17:7 And Hushai said unto Absalom, The counsel that
Ahithophel hath given is not good at this time.
10-17:9 Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other place: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown at the first, that whosoever heareth it will say,
There is a slaughter among the people that follow Absalom.
10-19:9 And all the people were at
strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of
the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the
Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land for Absalom.
10-19:28 For all of my
father’s house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet didst thou set thy servant among them that did eat at thine own table. What right therefore have I yet to
cry any more unto the king?
10-19:32 Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years old: and he had provided the king of
sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.
10-19:42 And all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel,
Because the king is near of kin to us: wherefore then be ye angry for this
matter? have we eaten at all of the king’s cost? or hath he given us any gift?
10-20:3 And David came to his house at
Jerusalem; and the king took the ten women his
concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in ward, and
fed them, but went not in unto them. So they were shut up unto the day of their
death, living in widowhood.
10-20:8 When they were at the great stone which is in Gibeon, Amasa went before them. And Joab’s garment that he
had put on was girded unto him, and upon it a girdle with a sword fastened upon his loins in the sheath thereof; and as
he went forth it fell out.
10-20:18 Then she spake, saying, They were wont to speak in old
time, saying, They shall surely ask counsel
at Abel:
and so they ended the matter.
10-21:18 And it came to pass after this, that there was again a
battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew
Saph, which was of the sons of the
giant.
10-22:16 And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations
of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of
the LORD, at the blast of the breath of his
nostrils.
10-23:8 These be the
names of the mighty men whom David had:
The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against
eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.
10-24:8 So when they had gone through all the land, they came
to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and
twenty days.
10-24:24 And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely
buy it of thee at a price:
neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth
cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty
shekels of silver.
11-1:6 And his father had not displeased him at any time in saying, Why hast thou done so? and he
also was a very goodly man; and his mother bare him after Absalom.
11-2:7 But shew kindness unto the sons of Barzillai the
Gileadite, and let them be of those that eat at
thy table: for so they came to me
when I fled because of Absalom thy brother.
11-2:8 And, behold, thou
hast with thee Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite of Bahurim, which cursed
me with a grievous curse in the day when I went to Mahanaim: but he came down to meet me at
Jordan, and I sware to him by the LORD, saying, I will not put thee to death
with the sword.
11-2:26 And unto Abiathar the priest said the king, Get thee
to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou art worthy of death: but
I will not at this time put thee to death,
because thou barest the ark of the Lord GOD before David my father, and because
thou hast been afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted.
11-2:39 And it came to pass at
the end of three years, that two of the servants of Shimei ran away unto Achish
son of Maachah king of Gath. And they told Shimei, saying, Behold, thy servants
be in Gath.
11-3:20 And she arose at
midnight, and took my son from beside me, while thine handmaid slept, and laid
it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.
11-5:14 And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by
courses: a month they were in
Lebanon, and two months at home:
and Adoniram was over the levy.
11-7:30 And every base had four brasen wheels, and plates of
brass: and the four corners thereof
had undersetters: under the laver were undersetters molten, at the side of every addition.
11-8:2 And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto
king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim,
which is the seventh month.
11-8:9 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which
Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel,
when they came out of the land of Egypt.
11-8:59 And let these my words, wherewith I have made
supplication before the LORD, be nigh unto the LORD our God day and night, that
he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require:
11-8:61 Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our
God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.
11-8:65 And at that time
Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the
entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt, before the LORD our God, seven
days and seven days, even fourteen
days.
11-9:2 That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as
he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.
11-9:6 But if ye shall at all turn
from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before
you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:
11-9:8 And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by
it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD
done thus unto this land, and to this house?
11-9:10 And it came to pass at
the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of
the LORD, and the king’s house,
11-10:22 For the king had at sea
a navy of Tharshish with the navy of Hiram:
once in three years came the navy of Tharshish, bringing gold, and silver,
ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
11-10:26 And Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four
hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he bestowed in the cities
for chariots, and with the king at Jerusalem.
11-10:28 And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen
yarn: the king’s merchants received
the linen yarn at a price.
11-11:29 And it came to pass at
that time when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the
Shilonite found him in the way; and he had clad himself with a new garment; and
they two were alone in the field:
11-12:27 If this people go up to do sacrifice in the house of
the LORD at Jerusalem, then shall the heart of
this people turn again unto their lord, even
unto Rehoboam king of Judah, and they shall kill me, and go again to
Rehoboam king of Judah.
11-13:20 And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the word of the LORD came unto the
prophet that brought him back:
11-14:1 At
that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam fell sick.
11-14:6 And it was so, when
Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at
the door, that he said, Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam; why feignest thou
thyself to be another? for I am sent to thee with heavy tidings.
11-15:18 Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the
house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered them
into the hand of his servants: and
king Asa sent them to Benhadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of
Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,
11-15:27 And Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of
Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha smote him at
Gibbethon, which belonged to the
Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel laid siege to Gibbethon.
11-18:19 Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of
Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which
eat at Jezebel’s table.
11-18:27 And it came to pass at
noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either
he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.
11-18:36 And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the
prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it
be known this day that thou art God
in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at
thy word.
11-18:44 And it came to pass at
the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the
sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the
rain stop thee not.
11-19:6 And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him
down again.
11-20:9 Wherefore he said unto the messengers of Benhadad,
Tell my lord the king, All that thou didst send for to thy servant at the first I will do: but this thing I may not do. And the messengers departed, and
brought him word again.
11-20:16 And they went out at
noon. But Benhadad was drinking
himself drunk in the pavilions, he and the kings, the thirty and two kings that
helped him.
11-20:22 And the prophet came to the king of Israel, and said
unto him, Go, strengthen thyself, and mark, and see what thou doest: for at
the return of the year the king of Syria will come up against thee.
11-20:26 And it came to pass at
the return of the year, that Benhadad numbered the Syrians, and went up to
Aphek, to fight against Israel.
11-22:5 And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire,
I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day.
11-22:20 And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he
may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said
on this manner, and another said on that manner.
11-22:28 And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me. And
he said, Hearken, O people, every one of you.
11-22:34 And a certain man
drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of
Israel between the joints of the harness:
wherefore he said unto the driver of his chariot, Turn thine hand, and carry me
out of the host; for I am wounded.
11-22:35 And the battle increased that day: and the king was stayed up in his chariot against the Syrians,
and died at even: and the blood ran out of the wound into the midst of the chariot.
11-22:48 Jehoshaphat made ships of Tharshish to go to Ophir for
gold: but they went not; for the
ships were broken at Eziongeber.
12-2:3 And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha,
and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from
thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it;
hold ye your peace.
12-2:5 And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and
said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy
head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it;
hold ye your peace.
12-2:15 And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at
Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they
came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
12-2:18 And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto
you, Go not?
12-4:17 And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her,
according to the time of life.
12-4:37 Then she went in, and fell at
his feet, and bowed herself to the ground, and took up her son, and went out.
12-5:9 So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot,
and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.
12-5:20 But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God,
said, Behold, my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, as the LORD
liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.
12-6:32 But Elisha sat in his house, and the elders sat with
him; and the king sent a man from
before him: but ere the messenger
came to him, he said to the elders, See ye how this son of a murderer hath sent
to take away mine head? look, when the messenger cometh, shut the door, and
hold him fast at the door: is not the sound of his
master’s feet behind him?
12-7:3 And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?
12-8:3 And it came to pass at
the seven years’ end, that the woman returned out of the land of the
Philistines: and she went forth to
cry unto the king for her house and for her land.
12-8:22 Yet Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto
this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time.
12-8:29 And king Joram went back to be healed in Jezreel of
the wounds which the Syrians had given him at
Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of
Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel,
because he was sick.
12-9:7 And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master,
that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all
the servants of the LORD, at the hand of
Jezebel.
12-9:24 And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote
Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at
his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.
12-9:27 But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden
house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at
the going up to Gur, which is by
Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.
12-9:30 And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and
tired her head, and looked out at a window.
12-9:31 And as Jehu entered in at
the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace,
who slew his master?
12-10:8 And there came a messenger, and told him, saying, They
have brought the heads of the king’s sons. And he said, Lay ye them in two
heaps at the entering in of the gate until the
morning.
12-10:12 And he arose and departed, and came to Samaria. And as he was at the shearing house in the
way,
12-10:14 And he said, Take them alive. And they took them
alive, and slew them at the pit of the shearing
house, even two and forty men;
neither left he any of them.
12-11:6 And a third part shall
be at the gate of Sur; and a third part at the gate behind the guard: so shall ye keep the watch of the house, that it be not broken
down.
12-12:4 And Jehoash said to the priests, All the money of the
dedicated things that is brought into the house of the LORD, even the money of every one that passeth
the account, the money that every man
is set at, and
all the money that cometh into any man’s heart to bring into the house of
the LORD,
12-13:20 And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of
the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in
of the year.
12-14:10 Thou hast indeed smitten Edom, and thine heart hath
lifted thee up: glory of this, and tarry at home:
for why shouldest thou meddle to thy hurt,
that thou shouldest fall, even thou,
and Judah with thee?
12-14:11 But Amaziah would not hear. Therefore Jehoash king of
Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face
at Bethshemesh, which belongeth to Judah.
12-14:13 And Jehoash king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah,
the son of Jehoash the son of Ahaziah, at Bethshemesh,
and came to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of
Ephraim unto the corner gate, four hundred cubits.
12-14:20 And they brought him on horses: and he was buried at Jerusalem with
his fathers in the city of David.
12-16:6 At
that time Rezin king of Syria recovered Elath to Syria, and drave the Jews from
Elath: and the Syrians came to
Elath, and dwelt there unto this day.
12-16:10 And king Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglathpileser
king of Assyria, and saw an altar that was
at Damascus: and king Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the fashion of the altar,
and the pattern of it, according to all the workmanship thereof.
12-17:25 And so it
was at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they feared not the LORD: therefore the LORD sent lions among
them, which slew some of them.
12-18:10 And at the end of three
years they took it: even in the sixth year of Hezekiah, that
is the ninth year of Hoshea king of
Israel, Samaria was taken.
12-18:16 At
that time did Hezekiah cut off the gold
from the doors of the temple of the LORD, and from the pillars which Hezekiah king of Judah had overlaid, and
gave it to the king of Assyria.
12-18:33 Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered at all his land out of the hand of the king of
Assyria?
12-19:21 This is the
word that the LORD hath spoken concerning him; The virgin the daughter of Zion
hath despised thee, and laughed thee
to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.
12-19:36 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and
returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.
12-20:12 At that
time Berodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a
present unto Hezekiah: for he had
heard that Hezekiah had been sick.
12-23:6 And he brought out the grove from the house of the
LORD, without Jerusalem, unto the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and stamped it small to powder, and cast the powder thereof upon the graves of
the children of the people.
12-23:8 And he brought all the priests out of the cities of
Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from
Geba to Beersheba, and brake down the high places of the gates that were in the entering in of the gate of
Joshua the governor of the city, which were
on a man’s left hand at the gate of the
city.
12-23:11 And he took away the horses that the kings of Judah
had given to the sun, at the entering in of the
house of the LORD, by the chamber of Nathanmelech the chamberlain, which was in the suburbs, and burned the
chariots of the sun with fire.
12-23:15 Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel
to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he brake down, and burned
the high place, and stamped it small to powder, and burned the
grove.
12-23:29 In his days Pharaohnechoh king of Egypt went up against
the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates:
and king Josiah went against him; and he slew him at
Megiddo, when he had seen him.
12-23:33 And Pharaohnechoh put him in bands at Riblah in the land of Hamath, that he might not
reign in Jerusalem; and put the land to a tribute of an hundred talents of
silver, and a talent of gold.
12-24:3 Surely at the
commandment of the LORD came this upon
Judah, to remove them out of his
sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;
12-24:10 At
that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against
Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.
12-25:21 And the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried
away out of their land.
12-25:25 But it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael
the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, came, and ten men
with him, and smote Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldees that
were with him at Mizpah.
13-2:55 And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the
father of the house of Rechab.
13-4:28 And they dwelt at
Beersheba, and Moladah, and Hazarshual,
13-4:29 And at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,
13-4:30 And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at
Ziklag,
13-4:31 And at Bethmarcaboth,
and Hazarsusim, and at Bethbirei, and at Shaaraim. These were
their cities unto the reign of David.
13-8:29 And at Gibeon dwelt the
father of Gibeon; whose wife’s name was Maachah:
13-9:34 These chief fathers of the Levites were chief throughout their generations;
these dwelt at Jerusalem.
13-9:38 And Mikloth begat Shimeam. And they also dwelt with
their brethren at Jerusalem, over against their
brethren.
13-11:11 And this is the
number of the mighty men whom David had; Jashobeam, an Hachmonite, the chief of
the captains: he lifted up his spear
against three hundred slain by him at one time.
13-11:13 He was with David at
Pasdammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where
was a parcel of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the
Philistines.
13-11:16 And David was then
in the hold, and the Philistines’ garrison was
then at Bethlehem.
13-11:17 And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me
drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, that is at the gate!
13-12:22 For at that time day by day there came to David
to help him, until it was a great
host, like the host of God.
13-12:32 And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what
Israel ought to do; the heads of them were
two hundred; and all their brethren were
at their commandment.
13-13:3 And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we enquired not at it in the days of Saul.
13-14:3 And David took more wives at
Jerusalem: and David begat more sons
and daughters.
13-15:13 For because ye did
it not at the first, the LORD our God made a
breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.
13-15:29 And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David,
that Michal the daughter of Saul looking out at
a window saw king David dancing and playing:
and she despised him in her heart.
13-16:33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to
judge the earth.
13-16:39 And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests,
before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon,
13-17:9 Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and
will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no
more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,
13-19:5 Then there went certain,
and told David how the men were served. And he sent to meet them: for the men were greatly ashamed. And
the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your
beards be grown, and then return.
13-20:1 And it came to pass, that after the year was expired, at the time that kings go out to battle, Joab led forth the power of the army, and wasted the
country of the children of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah. But David
tarried at Jerusalem. And Joab smote Rabbah, and
destroyed it.
13-20:4 And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued.
13-20:6 And yet again there was war at
Gath, where was a man of great stature,
whose fingers and toes were four and
twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot: and he also was the son of the giant.
13-21:19 And David went up at
the saying of Gad, which he spake in the name of the LORD.
13-21:28 At
that time when David saw that the LORD had answered him in the threshingfloor
of Ornan the Jebusite, then he sacrificed there.
13-21:29 For the tabernacle of the LORD, which Moses made in
the wilderness, and the altar of the burnt offering, were at that season in the high
place at Gibeon.
13-23:30 And to stand every morning to thank and praise the
LORD, and likewise at even;
13-26:18 At
Parbar westward, four at the causeway, and two at
Parbar.
13-26:31 Among the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even among
the Hebronites, according to the generations of his fathers. In the fortieth
year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among
them mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead.
13-28:7 Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he
be constant to do my commandments and my judgments, as at
this day.
13-28:21 And, behold, the courses of the priests and the
Levites, even they shall be with thee for
all the service of the house of God:
and there shall be with thee for all
manner of workmanship every willing skilful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly at
thy commandment.
14-1:3 So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to
the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the
congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the
wilderness.
14-1:4 But the ark of God had David brought up from
Kirjathjearim to the place which David
had prepared for it: for he had
pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.
14-1:6 And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before
the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a
thousand burnt offerings upon it.
14-1:13 Then Solomon came from
his journey to the high place that was
at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the
tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel.
14-1:14 And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four
hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, which he placed in the chariot
cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
14-1:15 And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as
plenteous as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the vale for abundance.
14-1:16 And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen
yarn: the king’s merchants received
the linen yarn at a price.
14-3:1 Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father,
in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the
Jebusite.
14-5:10 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put
therein at
Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with
the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.
14-5:12 Also the Levites which
were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their
sons and their brethren, being arrayed
in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred
and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)
14-7:8 Also at the same time
Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great
congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt.
14-8:1 And it came to pass at
the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and
his own house,
14-8:14 And he appointed, according to the order of David his
father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their
charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day
required: the porters also by their
courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.
14-8:17 Then went Solomon to Eziongeber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.
14-9:1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of
Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at
Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels that bare spices, and gold in
abundance, and precious stones: and
when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her
heart.
14-9:25 And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and
chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; whom he bestowed in the chariot cities,
and with the king at Jerusalem.
14-13:18 Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because
they relied upon the LORD God of their fathers.
14-14:10 Then Asa went out against him, and they set the battle
in array in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.
14-15:10 So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year
of the reign of Asa.
14-15:15 And all Judah rejoiced at
the oath: for they had sworn with
all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of
them: and the LORD gave them rest
round about.
14-15:16 And also concerning
Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an
idol in a grove: and Asa cut down
her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the
brook Kidron.
14-16:2 Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the
treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king’s house, and sent to
Benhadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus,
saying,
14-16:7 And at that time Hanani
the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied
on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host
of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.
14-18:4 And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire,
I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day.
14-18:9 And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah
sat either of them on his throne, clothed in their robes, and they sat in a void place at
the entering in of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before
them.
14-18:19 And the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab king of
Israel, that he may go up and fall at
Ramothgilead? And one spake saying after this manner, and another saying after
that manner.
14-18:33 And a certain man
drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of
Israel between the joints of the harness:
therefore he said to his chariot man, Turn thine hand, that thou mayest carry
me out of the host; for I am wounded.
14-19:4 And Jehoshaphat dwelt at
Jerusalem: and he went out again
through the people from Beersheba to mount Ephraim, and brought them back unto
the LORD God of their fathers.
14-20:16 To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of
Jeruel.
14-22:5 He walked also after their counsel, and went with
Jehoram the son of Ahab king of Israel to war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramothgilead:
and the Syrians smote Joram.
14-22:6 And he returned to be healed in Jezreel because of the
wounds which were given him at Ramah, when he
fought with Hazael king of Syria. And Azariah the son of Jehoram king of Judah
went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab at
Jezreel, because he was sick.
14-23:5 And a third part shall
be at the king’s house; and a third part at the gate of the foundation: and all the people shall be
in the courts of the house of the LORD.
14-23:13 And she looked, and, behold, the king stood at his pillar at the
entering in, and the princes and the trumpets by the king: and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded with
trumpets, also the singers with instruments of musick, and such as taught to
sing praise. Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason.
14-23:19 And he set the porters at
the gates of the house of the LORD, that none which was unclean in any thing should enter in.
14-24:8 And at the king’s
commandment they made a chest, and set it without at
the gate of the house of the LORD.
14-24:11 Now it came to pass, that at
what time the chest was brought unto the king’s office by the hand of the
Levites, and when they saw that there was
much money, the king’s scribe and the high priest’s officer came and
emptied the chest, and took it, and carried it to his place again. Thus they
did day by day, and gathered money in abundance.
14-24:21 And they conspired against him, and stoned him with
stones at the commandment of the king in the
court of the house of the LORD.
14-24:23 And it came to pass at
the end of the year, that the host of
Syria came up against him: and they
came to Judah and Jerusalem, and destroyed all the princes of the people from
among the people, and sent all the spoil of them unto the king of Damascus.
14-25:19 Thou sayest, Lo, thou hast smitten the Edomites; and
thine heart lifteth thee up to boast:
abide now at home; why shouldest thou meddle to thine hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?
14-25:21 So Joash the king of Israel went up; and they saw one
another in the face, both he and
Amaziah king of Judah, at Bethshemesh, which belongeth to Judah.
14-25:23 And Joash the king of Israel took Amaziah king of
Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, at
Bethshemesh, and brought him to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem
from the gate of Ephraim to the corner gate, four hundred cubits.
14-26:9 Moreover Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the corner gate, and at
the valley gate, and at the turning of the wall, and fortified them.
14-28:16 At
that time did king Ahaz send unto the kings of Assyria to help him.
14-30:1 And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote
letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the
LORD at Jerusalem, to keep the passover unto the
LORD God of Israel.
14-30:3 For they could not keep it at
that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves sufficiently,
neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.
14-30:5 So they established a decree to make proclamation
throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to
keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel at
Jerusalem: for they had not done it of a long time in such sort as it was written.
14-30:13 And there assembled at
Jerusalem much people to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second
month, a very great congregation.
14-30:21 And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven
days with great gladness: and the
Levites and the priests praised the LORD day by day, singing with loud instruments unto the LORD.
14-31:13 And Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and
Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, were overseers under the hand of
Cononiah and Shimei his brother, at the commandment
of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the ruler of the house of God.
14-32:9 After this did Sennacherib king of Assyria send his
servants to Jerusalem, (but he himself
laid siege against Lachish, and all his power with him,) unto Hezekiah king
of Judah, and unto all Judah that were at Jerusalem, saying,
14-32:33 And Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried
him in the chiefest of the sepulchres of the sons of David: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem did him honour at his death. And Manasseh his son reigned in his
stead.
14-33:14 Now after this he built a wall without the city of
David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and
raised it up a very great height, and put captains of war in all the fenced
cities of Judah.
14-35:15 And the singers the sons of Asaph were in their place, according to the commandment of David, and
Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king’s seer; and the porters waited at
every gate; they might not depart from their service; for their brethren the
Levites prepared for them.
14-35:17 And the children of Israel that were present kept the
passover at that time, and the feast of
unleavened bread seven days.
14-35:23 And the archers shot at
king Josiah; and the king said to his servants, Have me away; for I am sore
wounded.
14-36:3 And the king of Egypt put him down at Jerusalem, and condemned the land in an hundred
talents of silver and a talent of gold.
14-36:7 Nebuchadnezzar also carried of the vessels of the
house of the LORD to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon.
15-1:2 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of
heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to
build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
15-2:68 And some of
the chief of the fathers, when they came to the house of the LORD which is at
Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God to set it up in his place:
15-3:8 Now in the second year of their coming unto the house
of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, began
Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the remnant
of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all they that were come out
of the captivity unto Jerusalem; and appointed the Levites, from twenty years
old and upward, to set forward the work of the house of the LORD.
15-4:10 And the rest of the nations whom the great and noble
Asnapper brought over, and set in the cities of Samaria, and the rest that are on this side the river, and at such a time.
15-4:11 This is the
copy of the letter that they sent unto him, even
unto Artaxerxes the king; Thy servants the men on this side the river, and at such a time.
15-4:17 Then sent the king an answer unto Rehum the chancellor, and
to Shimshai the scribe, and to the rest of their companions that
dwell in Samaria, and unto the rest
beyond the river, Peace, and at such a time.
15-4:24 Then ceased the work of the house of God which is at
Jerusalem. So it ceased unto the second year of the reign of Darius king of
Persia.
15-5:2 Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua
the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which is at
Jerusalem: and with them were the prophets of God helping them.
15-5:3 At the
same time came to them Tatnai, governor on this side the river, and
Shetharboznai, and their companions, and said thus unto them, Who hath
commanded you to build this house, and to make up this wall?
15-5:17 Now therefore, if it
seem good to the king, let there be search made in the king’s treasure
house, which is there at Babylon, whether it be so, that a decree was made of Cyrus the king to build this house of
God at Jerusalem, and let the king send his
pleasure to us concerning this matter.
15-6:2 And there was found at
Achmetha, in the palace that is in
the province of the Medes, a roll, and therein was a record thus written:
15-6:3 In the first year of Cyrus the king the same Cyrus the king made a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, Let the house be builded, the place
where they offered sacrifices, and let the foundations thereof be strongly
laid; the height thereof threescore cubits, and
the breadth thereof threescore cubits;
15-6:5 And also let the golden and silver vessels of the
house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple which is at
Jerusalem, and brought unto Babylon, be restored, and brought again unto the
temple which is at Jerusalem, every
one to his place, and place them in
the house of God.
15-6:9 And that which they have need of, both young bullocks,
and rams, and lambs, for the burnt offerings of the God of heaven, wheat, salt,
wine, and oil, according to the appointment of the priests which are at
Jerusalem, let it be given them day by day without fail:
15-6:12 And the God that hath caused his name to dwell there
destroy all kings and people, that shall put to their hand to alter and to destroy this house of God which is at
Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with speed.
15-6:17 And offered at the
dedication of this house of God an hundred bullocks, two hundred rams, four
hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve he goats,
according to the number of the tribes of Israel.
15-6:18 And they set the priests in their divisions, and the
Levites in their courses, for the service of God, which is at Jerusalem; as it is written in
the book of Moses.
15-7:12 Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a
scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time.
15-8:17 And I sent them with commandment unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they
should say unto Iddo, and to his
brethren the Nethinims, at the place Casiphia,
that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our God.
15-8:21 Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves
before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and
for all our substance.
15-8:29 Watch ye, and keep them,
until ye weigh them before the
chief of the priests and the Levites, and chief of the fathers of Israel, at Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the
LORD.
15-8:34 By number and by
weight of every one: and all the
weight was written at that time.
15-9:4 Then were assembled unto me every one that trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the
transgression of those that had been carried away; and I sat astonied until the
evening sacrifice.
15-9:5 And at the evening
sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and having rent my garment and my
mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands unto the LORD my God,
15-10:3 Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to
put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel
of my lord, and of those that tremble at the
commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law.
15-10:14 Let now our rulers of all the congregation stand, and
let all them which have taken strange wives in our cities come at appointed times, and with them the elders of every
city, and the judges thereof, until the fierce wrath of our God for this matter
be turned from us.
16-2:12 And I arose in the night, I and some few men with me;
neither told I any man what my God
had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem: neither was there any beast with me, save the beast that I rode upon.
16-3:19 And next to him repaired Ezer the son of Jeshua, the
ruler of Mizpah, another piece over against the going up to the armoury at the turning of
the wall.
16-4:22 Likewise at the same
time said I unto the people, Let every one with his servant lodge within
Jerusalem, that in the night they may be a guard to us, and labour on the day.
16-5:17 Moreover there
were at my table an hundred and fifty of the
Jews and rulers, beside those that came unto us from among the heathen that are about us.
16-6:1 Now it came to pass, when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and
Geshem the Arabian, and the rest of our enemies, heard that I had builded the
wall, and that there was no breach
left therein; (though at that time I had not set
up the doors upon the gates;)
16-6:7 And thou hast also appointed prophets to preach of
thee at Jerusalem, saying, There is a king in Judah:
and now shall it be reported to the king according to these words. Come now
therefore, and let us take counsel together.
16-7:5 And my God put into mine heart to gather together the
nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by
genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein,
16-9:37 And it yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou
hast set over us because of our sins:
also they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress.
16-10:34 And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites,
and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar
of the LORD our God, as it is written
in the law:
16-11:1 And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem:
the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in
Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to
dwell in other cities.
16-11:2 And the people blessed all the men, that willingly
offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem.
16-11:4 And at Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of
the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah; Athaiah the son of Uzziah,
the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of
Mahalaleel, of the children of Perez;
16-11:6 All the sons of Perez that dwelt at Jerusalem were
four hundred threescore and eight valiant men.
16-11:22 The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was
Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son
of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, the singers were
over the business of the house of God.
16-11:24 And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the children
of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the
people.
16-11:25 And for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt at Kirjatharba, and in the villages thereof, and at
Dibon, and in the villages thereof,
and at Jekabzeel, and in the villages thereof,
16-11:26 And at Jeshua, and at Moladah, and at
Bethphelet,
16-11:27 And at Hazarshual, and at Beersheba, and in
the villages thereof,
16-11:28 And at Ziklag, and at Mekonah, and in the villages thereof,
16-11:29 And at Enrimmon, and at Zareah, and at
Jarmuth,
16-11:30 Zanoah, Adullam, and in their villages, at Lachish, and
the fields thereof, at Azekah, and in the villages thereof. And they dwelt
from Beersheba unto the valley of Hinnom.
16-11:31 The children also of Benjamin from Geba dwelt at
Michmash, and Aija, and Bethel, and in their
villages,
16-11:32 And at
Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
16-12:25 Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon,
Akkub, were porters keeping the ward at the thresholds of the gates.
16-12:27 And at the dedication
of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to
bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with
thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals,
psalteries, and with harps.
16-12:37 And at the fountain
gate, which was over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of
David, at the going up of the wall, above the
house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.
16-12:44 And at that time were
some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the
firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the
cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that
waited.
16-13:6 But in all this time
was not I at Jerusalem: for in the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon
came I unto the king, and after certain days obtained I leave of the king:
16-13:19 And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem
began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut,
and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the
gates, that there should no burden be
brought in on the sabbath day.
16-13:31 And for the wood offering, at
times appointed, and for the firstfruits. Remember me, O my God, for good.
17-1:12 But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s commandment by his chamberlains:
therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him.
17-4:8 Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree
that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to
shew it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she
should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request
before him for her people.
17-4:14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then
shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another
place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
17-5:6 And the king said unto Esther at
the banquet of wine, What is thy
petition? and it shall be granted thee:
and what is thy request? even to the
half of the kingdom it shall be performed.
17-5:13 Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see
Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king’s gate.
17-6:10 Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as
thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king’s gate:
let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.
17-7:2 And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.
17-7:3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have
found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be
given me at my petition, and my people at my request:
17-8:3 And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell
down at his feet, and besought him with tears to
put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his device that he had devised
against the Jews.
17-8:9 Then were the king’s scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivan, on the three and
twentieth day thereof; and it was
written according to all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the
lieutenants, and the deputies and rulers of the provinces which are from India unto Ethiopia, an hundred
twenty and seven provinces, unto every province according to the writing
thereof, and unto every people after their language, and to the Jews according
to their writing, and according to their language.
17-8:14 So the posts that rode upon mules and camels went out, being hastened and pressed on by the king’s
commandment. And the decree was given at Shushan
the palace.
17-9:14 And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman’s ten sons.
17-9:15 For the Jews that were
in Shushan gathered themselves together on the fourteenth day also of the
month Adar, and slew three hundred men at
Shushan; but on the prey they laid not their hand.
17-9:18 But the Jews that were
at Shushan assembled together on the
thirteenth day thereof, and on the
fourteenth thereof; and on the fifteenth day
of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.
18-2:10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the
foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at
the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin
with his lips.
18-3:13 For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I
should have slept: then had I been at rest,
18-3:17 There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at
rest.
18-5:22 At
destruction and famine thou shalt laugh:
neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
18-5:23 For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the
field: and the beasts of the field
shall be at peace with thee.
18-9:23 If the scourge slay suddenly, he will laugh at the trial of the innocent.
18-12:5 He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp
despised in the thought of him that is at ease.
18-15:12 Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy
eyes wink at,
18-15:23 He wandereth abroad for bread, saying, Where is it? he
knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his
hand.
18-16:4 I also could speak as ye do: if your soul were in
my soul’s stead, I could heap up words against you, and shake mine head at you.
18-16:12 I was at ease, but he
hath broken me asunder: he hath also
taken me by my neck, and shaken me to
pieces, and set me up for his mark.
18-17:8 Upright men shall
be astonied at this, and the innocent shall stir
up himself against the hypocrite.
18-18:12 His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at
his side.
18-18:20 They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as
they that went before were affrighted.
18-19:25 For I know that my
redeemer liveth, and that he shall
stand at the latter day upon the earth:
18-21:12 They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.
18-21:23 One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.
18-22:21 Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace:
thereby good shall come unto thee.
18-23:15 Therefore am I troubled at
his presence: when I consider, I am
afraid of him.
18-26:11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.
18-27:23 Men shall clap their hands at
him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
18-29:21 Unto me men gave
ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.
18-31:9 If mine heart have been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbour’s door;
18-31:29 If I rejoiced at the
destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him:
18-34:20 In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be
troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away
without hand.
18-37:1 At
this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.
18-39:22 He mocketh at fear, and
is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.
18-39:27 Doth the eagle mount up at
thy command, and make her nest on high?
18-41:9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast
down even at the sight of him?
18-41:26 The sword of him that layeth at
him cannot hold: the spear, the
dart, nor the habergeon.
18-41:29 Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a
spear.
19-7:4 If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that
without cause is mine enemy:)
19-9:3 When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and
perish at thy presence.
19-10:5 His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as
for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.
19-11:2 For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they
may privily shoot at the upright in heart.
19-12:5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the
needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth
at him.
19-16:8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not
be moved.
19-16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness
of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
19-18:12 At the
brightness that was before him his
thick clouds passed, hail stones and
coals of fire.
19-18:15 Then the channels of waters were seen, and the
foundations of the world were discovered at thy
rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of
thy nostrils.
19-25:13 His soul shall dwell at
ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
19-30:title A Psalm and Song at the dedication of the house of
David.
19-30:4 Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give
thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
19-34:1 I will bless the LORD at
all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
19-35:8 Let destruction come upon him at
unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.
19-35:26 Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together
that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.
19-37:13 The Lord shall laugh at
him: for he seeth that his day is
coming.
19-39:5 Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is
as nothing before thee: verily
every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.
19-39:12 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold
not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger
with thee, and a sojourner, as all my
fathers were.
19-42:7 Deep calleth unto deep at
the noise of thy waterspouts: all
thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
19-52:6 The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall
laugh at him:
19-55:6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
19-55:17 Evening, and morning, and at
noon, will I pray, and cry aloud:
and he shall hear my voice.
19-55:20 He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him:
he hath broken his covenant.
19-59:6 They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go
round about the city.
19-59:8 But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at
them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.
19-59:14 And at evening let them
return; and let them make a noise
like a dog, and go round about the city.
19-62:8 Trust in him at all
times; ye people, pour out your heart
before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
19-64:4 That they may shoot in secret at
the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
19-64:7 But God shall shoot at
them with an arrow; suddenly shall
they be wounded.
19-65:8 They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid
at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.
19-68:2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
19-68:8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at
the presence of God, the God of Israel.
19-68:12 Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home
divided the spoil.
19-68:29 Because of thy temple at
Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.
19-73:3 For I was envious at
the foolish, when I saw the
prosperity of the wicked.
19-74:6 But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers.
19-76:6 At thy
rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
19-80:16 It is burned with fire, it
is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
19-81:7 Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I
answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of
Meribah. Selah.
19-83:9 Do unto them as unto
the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at
the brook of Kison:
19-83:10 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.
19-91:6 Nor for the pestilence that
walketh in darkness; nor for the
destruction that wasteth at noonday.
19-91:7 A thousand shall fall at
thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
19-97:5 The hills melted like wax at
the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the
Lord of the whole earth.
19-97:12 Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
19-99:5 Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for
he is holy.
19-99:9 Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.
19-104:7 At thy
rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder
they hasted away.
19-105:22 To bind his princes at
his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
19-106:3 Blessed are they
that keep judgment, and he that doeth
righteousness at all times.
19-106:7 Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they
remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
19-106:32 They angered him
also at the waters of strife, so that it
went ill with Moses for their sakes:
19-107:27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man,
and are at their wit’s end.
19-109:6 Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right
hand.
19-109:31 For he shall stand at
the right hand of the poor, to save him from
those that condemn his soul.
19-110:1 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy
footstool.
19-110:5 The Lord at thy right
hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.
19-114:7 Tremble, thou earth, at
the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the
God of Jacob;
19-118:13 Thou hast thrust sore at
me that I might fall: but the LORD
helped me.
19-119:20 My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at
all times.
19-119:45 And I will walk at
liberty: for I seek thy precepts.
19-119:62 At
midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous
judgments.
19-119:162 I rejoice at thy word,
as one that findeth great spoil.
19-123:4 Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of
those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.
19-132:6 Lo, we heard of it at
Ephratah: we found it in the fields
of the wood.
19-132:7 We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.
19-135:21 Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
19-141:7 Our bones are scattered at
the grave’s mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.
20-1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit
unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
20-1:25 But ye have set at
nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
20-1:26 I also will laugh at
your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
20-4:19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they
know not at what they stumble.
20-5:11 And thou mourn at the
last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,
20-5:19 Let her be as
the loving hind and pleasant roe; let
her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be
thou ravished always with her love.
20-7:6 For at the window of my
house I looked through my casement,
20-7:12 Now is she without,
now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every
corner.)
20-7:19 For the goodman is
not at home, he is gone a long journey:
20-7:20 He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed.
20-8:3 She crieth at the
gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the
doors.
20-8:34 Blessed is the
man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates,
waiting at the posts of my doors.
20-9:14 For she sitteth at the
door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
20-14:9 Fools make a mock at
sin: but among the righteous there is favour.
20-14:19 The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
20-16:7 When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his
enemies to be at peace with him.
20-17:5 Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker: and
he that is glad at calamities shall not be
unpunished.
20-17:17 A friend loveth at all
times, and a brother is born for adversity.
20-20:21 An inheritance may
be gotten hastily at the beginning; but the
end thereof shall not be blessed.
20-21:13 Whoso stoppeth his ears at
the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
20-23:30 They that tarry long at
the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine.
20-23:32 At the
last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.
20-24:19 Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the
wicked;
20-28:18 Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways
shall fall at once.
20-29:21 He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a
child shall have him become his son at the length.
20-30:17 The eye that mocketh
at his father,
and despiseth to obey his mother, the
ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.
21-5:6 Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin;
neither say thou before the angel, that it was
an error: wherefore should God
be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of
thine hands?
21-5:8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent
perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter:
for he that is higher than the
highest regardeth; and there be higher
than they.
21-10:2 A wise man’s heart is
at his right hand; but a fool’s heart at his left.
21-12:4 And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the
sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at
the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of musick shall be brought low;
21-12:6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl
be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the
fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.
22-1:7 Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou
feedest, where thou makest thy flock to
rest at noon:
for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions?
22-1:12 While the king sitteth
at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the
smell thereof.
22-2:9 My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold, he standeth behind our wall,
he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself
through the lattice.
22-7:13 The mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates are
all manner of pleasant fruits, new
and old, which I have laid up for
thee, O my beloved.
22-8:11 Solomon had a vineyard at
Baalhamon; he let out the vineyard unto keepers; every one for the fruit
thereof was to bring a thousand pieces of
silver.
23-1:12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required
this at your hand, to tread my courts?
23-1:26 And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning:
afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.
23-6:4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled
with smoke.
23-7:3 Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet
Ahaz, thou, and Shearjashub thy son, at the end
of the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s field;
23-7:23 And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place shall be, where there
were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings,
it shall even be for briers and
thorns.
23-9:1 Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun
and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond
Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
23-10:26 And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him
according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock
of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the
sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
23-10:28 He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:
23-10:29 They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at
Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.
23-10:32 As yet shall he remain at
Nob that day: he shall shake his
hand against the mount of the
daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
23-13:6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a
destruction from the Almighty.
23-13:8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain
as a woman that travaileth: they
shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.
23-14:7 The whole earth is at
rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.
23-14:8 Yea, the fir trees rejoice at
thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no
feller is come up against us.
23-14:9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at
thy coming: it stirreth up the dead
for thee, even all the chief ones of
the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.
23-16:2 For it shall be, that,
as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at
the fords of Arnon.
23-16:4 Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a
covert to them from the face of the spoiler:
for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler
ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.
23-17:7 At
that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the
Holy One of Israel.
23-17:14 And behold at
eveningtide trouble; and before the
morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us,
and the lot of them that rob us.
23-19:1 The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a
swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt:
and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his
presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
23-19:19 In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the
midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the
border thereof to the LORD.
23-20:2 At the
same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth
from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking
naked and barefoot.
23-21:3 Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the
pangs of a woman that travaileth: I
was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of
it.
23-22:7 And it shall come to pass, that thy choicest valleys shall be full of chariots, and the
horsemen shall set themselves in array at the
gate.
23-23:5 As at the report
concerning Egypt, so shall they be
sorely pained at the report of Tyre.
23-26:11 LORD, when thy
hand is lifted up, they will not see:
but they shall see, and be ashamed
for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall
devour them.
23-27:13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown,
and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the
outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
23-28:15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with
death, and with hell are we at agreement; when
the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and
under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
23-29:5 Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like
small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant
suddenly.
23-30:2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength
of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!
23-30:4 For his princes were at
Zoan, and his ambassadors came to Hanes.
23-30:13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready
to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.
23-30:17 One thousand shall
flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the
top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill.
23-30:19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem:
thou shalt weep no more: he will be
very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry;
when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.
23-32:9 Rise up, ye women that are at
ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.
23-32:11 Tremble, ye women that are at
ease; be troubled, ye careless ones:
strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth
upon your loins.
23-33:3 At the
noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting
up of thyself the nations were scattered.
23-37:22 This is the
word which the LORD hath spoken concerning him; The virgin, the daughter of
Zion, hath despised thee, and laughed
thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.
23-37:37 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and
returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.
23-39:1 At
that time Merodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters
and a present to Hezekiah: for he
had heard that he had been sick, and was recovered.
23-42:14 I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a
travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at
once.
23-47:14 Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them;
they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there
shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire
to sit before it.
23-50:2 Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to
deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea,
I make the rivers a wilderness:
their fish stinketh, because there is no
water, and dieth for thirst.
23-51:17 Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast
drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, and
wrung them out.
23-51:20 Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a
net: they are full of the fury of
the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.
23-52:14 As many were astonied at
thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the
sons of men:
23-52:15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall
shut their mouths at him: for that which had not
been told them shall they see; and that which
they had not heard shall they consider.
23-59:10 We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as
if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon day as in the
night; we are in desolate places as
dead men.
23-60:4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together,
they come to thee: thy sons shall
come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at
thy side.
23-60:14 The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending
unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee,
The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
23-64:1 Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou
wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at
thy presence.
23-64:2 As when the
melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name
known to thine adversaries, that the
nations may tremble at thy presence!
23-64:3 When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed
down at thy presence.
23-66:2 For all those things
hath mine hand made, and all those things
have been, saith the LORD: but
to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
23-66:5 Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast
you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
23-66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such
things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once?
for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
24-1:15 For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms
of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one
his throne at the entering of the gates of
Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the
cities of Judah.
24-1:17 Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak
unto them all that I command thee:
be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound
thee before them.
24-2:12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at
this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD.
24-2:24 A wild ass used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind at her pleasure; in her occasion who can turn her away?
all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find
her.
24-3:17 At
that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations
shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more
after the imagination of their evil heart.
24-4:9 And it shall come to pass at
that day, saith the LORD, that the
heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests
shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.
24-4:11 At
that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the
high places in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor
to cleanse,
24-4:19 My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I
cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the
trumpet, the alarm of war.
24-4:26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities
thereof were broken down at the presence of the
LORD, and by his fierce anger.
24-5:22 Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my
presence, which have placed the sand for the
bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves,
yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
24-6:4 Prepare ye war against her; arise, and let us go up at noon. Woe unto us! for the day goeth away, for the
shadows of the evening are stretched out.
24-6:15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination?
nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could
they blush: therefore they shall
fall among them that fall: at the time that
I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
24-7:2 Stand in the gate of the Lord’s house, and proclaim
there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these
gates to worship the LORD.
24-7:12 But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at
the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.
24-8:1 At
that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of
Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the
bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of
their graves:
24-8:12 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination?
nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could
they blush: therefore shall they
fall among them that fall: in the
time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
24-8:16 The snorting of his horses was heard from Dan: the whole land trembled at the sound of the neighing of his strong ones; for
they are come, and have devoured the land, and all that is in it; the city, and
those that dwell therein.
24-10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen,
and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for
the heathen are dismayed at them.
24-10:10 But the LORD is the
true God, he is the living God, and an
everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations
shall not be able to abide his indignation.
24-10:18 For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will sling out the
inhabitants of the land at this once, and will
distress them, that they may find it so.
24-11:12 Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of
Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble.
24-15:8 Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the
seas: I have brought upon them
against the mother of the young men a spoiler at
noonday: I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and
terrors upon the city.
24-17:11 As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not;
so he that getteth riches, and not by
right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at
his end shall be a fool.
24-17:27 But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the
sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a
fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it
shall not be quenched.
24-18:7 At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and
concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;
24-18:9 And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation,
and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it;
24-20:16 And let that man be as the cities which the LORD
overthrew, and repented not: and let
him hear the cry in the morning, and the shouting at
noontide;
24-23:23 Am I a God at hand, saith
the LORD, and not a God afar off?
24-23:32 Behold, I am against
them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my
people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor
commanded them: therefore they shall
not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.
24-25:15 For thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take
the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause
all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.
24-25:17 Then took I the cup at
the LORD’S hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent
me:
24-25:28 And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them,
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink.
24-25:33 And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one
end of the earth even unto the other end
of the earth: they shall not be
lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.
24-26:19 Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and
besought the LORD, and the LORD repented him of the evil which he had
pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls.
24-27:18 But if they be prophets,
and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the
LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.
24-29:10 For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be
accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and
perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
24-29:25 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel,
saying, Because thou hast sent letters in thy name unto all the people that are at
Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the
priests, saying,
24-31:1 At the
same time, saith the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and
they shall be my people.
24-31:12 Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of
Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for
wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered
garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at
all.
24-32:20 Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt,
even unto this day, and in Israel,
and among other men; and hast made
thee a name, as at this day;
24-33:7 And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the
captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at
the first.
24-33:11 The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice
of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall
say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for
the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall
bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to
return the captivity of the land, as at the
first, saith the LORD.
24-33:15 In those days, and at
that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and
he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
24-34:8 This is the word that came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, after
that the king Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people which were at
Jerusalem, to proclaim liberty unto them;
24-34:14 At the
end of seven years let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew, which hath been
sold unto thee; and when he hath served thee six years, thou shalt let him go
free from thee: but your fathers
hearkened not unto me, neither inclined their ear.
24-34:16 But ye turned and polluted my name, and caused every
man his servant, and every man his handmaid, whom he had set at liberty at their
pleasure, to return, and brought them into subjection, to be unto you for
servants and for handmaids.
24-35:11 But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar king of
Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem
for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians: so we dwell at
Jerusalem.
24-36:10 Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in
the house of the LORD, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the
scribe, in the higher court, at the entry of the
new gate of the LORD’S house, in the ears of all the people.
24-36:17 And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst
thou write all these words at his mouth?
24-36:27 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that
the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,
24-39:10 But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the
poor of the people, which had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them
vineyards and fields at the same time.
24-40:10 As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to serve the Chaldeans, which will come
unto us: but ye, gather ye wine, and
summer fruits, and oil, and put them in
your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.
24-41:3 Ishmael also slew all the Jews that were with him, even with Gedaliah, at Mizpah, and the Chaldeans that were found there, and the men of war.
24-43:9 Take great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the
clay in the brickkiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh’s house in Tahpanhes, in the
sight of the men of Judah;
24-44:1 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews
which dwell in the land of Egypt, which dwell at
Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying,
24-44:6 Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and
was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they
are wasted and desolate, as at this day.
24-44:22 So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the
evil of your doings, and because of
the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation,
and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.
24-44:23 Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have
sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked
in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is
happened unto you, as at this day.
24-45:1 The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch
the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of
Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,
24-46:27 But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not
dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I
will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity;
and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at
ease, and none shall make him afraid.
24-47:3 At the
noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses, at the rushing of his
chariots, and at
the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall not look back to their children for feebleness of hands;
24-48:11 Moab hath been at ease
from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from
vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not
changed.
24-48:41 Kerioth is taken, and the strong holds are surprised,
and the mighty men’s hearts in Moab at that day
shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
24-49:17 Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof.
24-49:21 The earth is moved at
the noise of their fall, at the cry the noise
thereof was heard in the Red sea.
24-49:22 Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and
spread his wings over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom
be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
24-50:11 Because ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O ye
destroyers of mine heritage, because ye are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls;
24-50:13 Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be
inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate:
every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.
24-50:14 Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she hath sinned against the LORD.
24-50:46 At the
noise of the taking of Babylon the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among
the nations.
24-51:31 One post shall run to meet another, and one messenger
to meet another, to shew the king of Babylon that his city is taken at one end,
24-51:49 As Babylon hath
caused the slain of Israel to fall, so at
Babylon shall fall the slain of all the earth.
25-1:7 Jerusalem remembered in the days of her affliction and
of her miseries all her pleasant things that she had in the days of old, when
her people fell into the hand of the enemy, and none did help her: the adversaries saw her, and did mock at
her sabbaths.
25-1:20 Behold, O LORD; for I am in distress: my
bowels are troubled; mine heart is turned within me; for I have grievously
rebelled: abroad the sword
bereaveth, at home there is as death.
25-2:15 All that pass by clap their hands at thee; they hiss and
wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men call The perfection of beauty, The
joy of the whole earth?
25-3:56 Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my
breathing, at my cry.
26-2:6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither
be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be
dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.
26-3:9 As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy
forehead: fear them not, neither be
dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.
26-3:15 Then I came to them of the captivity at Telabib, that dwelt by the river of Chebar, and I
sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days.
26-3:16 And it came to pass at
the end of seven days, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
26-3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house
of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
26-3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and
thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked
way, to save his life; the same wicked man
shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
26-3:20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I
lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin,
and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood
will I require at thine hand.
26-8:5 Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes
now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the
north, and behold northward at the gate of the
altar this image of jealousy in the entry.
26-8:16 And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S
house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of
the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were
about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD,
and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
26-9:6 Slay utterly old and
young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my
sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men
which were before the house.
26-10:19 And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted
up from the earth in my sight: when
they went out, the wheels also were beside
them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD’S house; and
the glory of the God of Israel was over
them above.
26-11:1 Moreover the spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto
the east gate of the LORD’S house, which looketh eastward: and behold at the door of the gate
five and twenty men; among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azur, and Pelatiah
the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.
26-12:4 Then shalt thou bring forth thy stuff by day in their
sight, as stuff for removing: and
thou shalt go forth at even in their sight, as
they that go forth into captivity.
26-12:23 Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will
make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in
Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand,
and the effect of every vision.
26-14:3 Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their
heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them?
26-16:4 And as for thy
nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou
washed in water to supple thee; thou
wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.
26-16:25 Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred,
and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy
whoredoms.
26-16:46 And thine elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand:
and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy
right hand, is Sodom and her
daughters.
26-16:57 Before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of thy
reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, which
despise thee round about.
26-18:23 Have I any pleasure at
all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should
return from his ways, and live?
26-20:32 And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, that ye say, We will be as the heathen, as the
families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.
26-21:19 Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the
sword of the king of Babylon may come:
both twain shall come forth out of one land:
and choose thou a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city.
26-21:21 For the king of Babylon stood at
the parting of the way, at the head of the two
ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with
images, he looked in the liver.
26-21:22 At his
right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the
mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering rams against the gates, to
cast a mount, and to build a fort.
26-22:13 Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.
26-23:42 And a voice of a multitude being at ease was with
her: and with the men of the common
sort were brought Sabeans from the
wilderness, which put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon their
heads.
26-24:18 So I spake unto the people in the morning: and at
even my wife died; and I did in the morning as I was commanded.
26-26:10 By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust
shall cover thee: thy walls shall
shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the
wheels, and of the chariots, when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter
into a city wherein is made a breach.
26-26:15 Thus saith the Lord GOD to Tyrus; Shall not the isles
shake at the sound of thy fall, when the wounded
cry, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee?
26-26:16 Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from
their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with
trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble at every moment,
and be astonished at thee.
26-26:18 Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall;
yea, the isles that are in the sea
shall be troubled at thy departure.
26-27:3 And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea, which art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the
Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of
perfect beauty.
26-27:28 The suburbs shall shake at
the sound of the cry of thy pilots.
26-27:35 All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore afraid, they
shall be troubled in their countenance.
26-27:36 The merchants among the people shall hiss at thee; thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt be any more.
26-28:19 All they that know thee among the people shall be
astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.
26-29:7 When they took hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst
break, and rend all their shoulder:
and when they leaned upon thee, thou brakest, and madest all their loins to be at a stand.
26-29:13 Yet thus saith the Lord GOD; At
the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they
were scattered:
26-30:18 At
Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when I shall break there the yokes
of Egypt: and the pomp of her
strength shall cease in her: as for
her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.
26-31:16 I made the nations to shake at
the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into
the pit: and all the trees of Eden,
the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the
nether parts of the earth.
26-32:10 Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for
thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment,
every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall.
26-33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not
the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken
away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at
the watchman’s hand.
26-33:7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto
the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
26-33:8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost
not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
26-34:10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will
require my flock at their hand, and cause them
to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves
any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be
meat for them.
26-35:15 As thou didst rejoice at
the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto
thee: thou shalt be desolate, O
mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all
of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
26-36:8 But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth
your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come.
26-36:11 And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they
shall increase and bring fruit: and
I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at
your beginnings: and ye shall know
that I am the LORD.
26-37:22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the
mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be
divided into two kingdoms any more at all:
26-38:10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at
the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil
thought:
26-38:11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of
unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at
rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither
bars nor gates,
26-38:18 And it shall come to pass at
the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord
GOD, that my fury shall come up in my
face.
26-38:20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the
heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon
the earth, and all the men that are upon
the face of the earth, shall shake at my
presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall
fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
26-39:20 Thus ye shall be filled at
my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war,
saith the Lord GOD.
26-40:40 And at the side without,
as one goeth up to the entry of the north gate, were two tables; and on the other side, which was at the porch of the gate, were two tables.
26-40:44 And without the inner gate were the chambers of the singers in the inner court, which was at
the side of the north gate; and their prospect was toward the south:
one at the side of the east gate having the prospect toward the north.
26-41:12 Now the building that was before the separate place at the
end toward the west was seventy
cubits broad; and the wall of the building was
five cubits thick round about, and the length thereof ninety cubits.
26-44:11 Yet they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having charge at
the gates of the house, and ministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the
people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them.
26-44:17 And it shall come to pass, that when they enter in at the gates
of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool
shall come upon them, whiles they minister in the gates of the inner court, and
within.
26-44:25 And they shall come at
no dead person to defile themselves:
but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for
sister that hath had no husband, they may defile themselves.
26-46:2 And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate without, and shall stand by
the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his
peace offerings, and he shall worship at the
threshold of the gate: then he shall
go forth; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening.
26-46:3 Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD in the
sabbaths and in the new moons.
26-46:19 After he brought me through the entry, which was at
the side of the gate, into the holy chambers of the priests, which looked
toward the north: and, behold, there
was a place on the two sides
westward.
26-47:1 Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the
house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house
eastward: for the forefront of the
house stood toward the east, and the
waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side
of the altar.
26-47:7 Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.
26-48:28 And by the border of Gad, at
the south side southward, the border shall be even from Tamar unto the waters of strife in Kadesh, and to the river toward the great sea.
26-48:32 And at the east side
four thousand and five hundred: and
three gates; and one gate of Joseph, one gate of Benjamin, one gate of Dan.
26-48:33 And at the south side
four thousand and five hundred measures:
and three gates; one gate of Simeon, one gate of Issachar, one gate of Zebulun.
26-48:34 At the
west side four thousand and five hundred, with
their three gates; one gate of Gad, one gate of Asher, one gate of
Naphtali.
27-1:5 And the king appointed them a daily provision of the
king’s meat, and of the wine which he drank:
so nourishing them three years, that at the end
thereof they might stand before the king.
27-1:15 And at the end of ten
days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the
children which did eat the portion of the king’s meat.
27-1:18 Now at the end of the
days that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the
eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.
27-2:10 The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said,
There is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king’s matter: therefore there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that asked such things at any
magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.
27-3:5 That at
what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery,
dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image
that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:
27-3:7 Therefore at that time,
when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut,
psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the
languages, fell down and worshipped
the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
27-3:8 Wherefore at that time
certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews.
27-3:15 Now if ye be ready that at
what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and
dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I
have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into
the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
27-4:4 I Nebuchadnezzar was at
rest in mine house, and flourishing in my palace:
27-4:8 But at the last Daniel
came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar,
according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods:
and before him I told the dream, saying,
27-4:29 At the
end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon.
27-4:34 And at the end of the
days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding
returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him
that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an
everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from
generation to generation:
27-4:36 At the
same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine
honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought
unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added
unto me.
27-5:3 Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken
out of the temple of the house of God which was
at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes,
his wives, and his concubines, drank in them.
27-6:24 And the king commanded, and they brought those men
which had accused Daniel, and they cast them
into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions
had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.
27-8:1 In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a
vision appeared unto me, even unto me
Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the
first.
27-8:2 And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I
saw, that I was at Shushan in the
palace, which is in the province of
Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.
27-8:17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O
son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.
27-8:19 And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall
be in the last end of the indignation:
for at the time appointed the end shall be.
27-8:27 And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and
did the king’s business; and I was astonished at
the vision, but none understood it.
27-9:7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the
inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far
off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their
trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
27-9:15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people
forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown,
as at this day; we have sinned, we have done
wickedly.
27-9:21 Yea, whiles I was
speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched
me about the time of the evening oblation.
27-9:23 At the
beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to
shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.
27-10:3 I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine
in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all,
till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
27-11:27 And both these kings’ hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.
27-11:29 At the
time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be
as the former, or as the latter.
27-11:40 And at the time of the
end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come
against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many
ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
27-11:43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and
of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
27-12:1 And at that time shall
Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy
people: and there shall be a time of
trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time:
and at that time thy people shall be delivered,
every one that shall be found written in the book.
27-12:13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest,
and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
28-1:5 And it shall come to pass at
that day, that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.
28-2:16 And it shall be at that
day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt
call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.
28-4:12 My people ask counsel at
their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.
28-5:8 Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah:
cry aloud at
Bethaven, after thee, O Benjamin.
28-9:10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw
your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at
her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.
28-11:7 And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most
High, none at all would exalt him.
29-1:15 Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at
hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.
29-2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my
holy mountain: let all the
inhabitants of the land tremble: for
the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh
at hand;
29-2:9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run
upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.
30-3:5 Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no
gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and
have taken nothing at all?
30-3:9 Publish in the palaces at
Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, Assemble yourselves
upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great tumults in the midst
thereof, and the oppressed in the midst thereof.
30-4:3 And ye shall go out at
the breaches, every cow at that which is before her; and ye shall cast them into the palace, saith the LORD.
30-4:4 Come to Bethel, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression; and bring your
sacrifices every morning, and your
tithes after three years:
30-6:1 Woe to them that
are at ease in Zion, and trust in the
mountain of Samaria, which are named
chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!
30-7:13 But prophesy not again any more at Bethel:
for it is the king’s chapel, and it is the king’s court.
30-8:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord
GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at
noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
31-1:7 All the men of thy confederacy have brought thee even to the border: the men that were at peace with
thee have deceived thee, and prevailed
against thee; they that eat thy bread
have laid a wound under thee: there is none understanding in him.
33-1:10 Declare ye it not
at Gath, weep ye not at
all: in the house of Aphrah roll
thyself in the dust.
33-3:4 Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not
hear them: he will even hide his
face from them at that time, as they have
behaved themselves ill in their doings.
33-7:16 The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might:
they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf.
34-1:3 The LORD is slow
to anger, and great in power, and will not at
all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and
the clouds are the dust of his feet.
34-1:5 The mountains quake at
him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at
his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
34-3:10 Yet was she
carried away, she went into captivity:
her young children also were dashed in pieces at
the top of all the streets: and they
cast lots for her honourable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.
35-1:10 And they shall scoff at
the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust,
and take it.
35-2:3 For the vision is
yet for an appointed time, but at the end it
shall speak, and not lie: though it
tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
35-2:5 Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied,
but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:
35-2:19 Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the
dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the
midst of it.
35-3:5 Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went
forth at his feet.
35-3:11 The sun and moon
stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the
shining of thy glittering spear.
35-3:16 When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice:
rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest
in the day of trouble: when he
cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.
36-1:7 Hold thy peace at the
presence of the Lord GOD: for the
day of the LORD is at hand:
for the LORD hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath bid his guests.
36-1:12 And it shall come to pass at
that time, that I will search
Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD
will not do good, neither will he do evil.
36-2:4 For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.
36-3:19 Behold, at that time I
will undo all that afflict thee: and
I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will
get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.
36-3:20 At
that time will I bring you again, even
in the time that I gather you: for I
will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn
back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD.
38-1:11 And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood
among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth,
and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at
rest.
38-1:15 And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at
ease: for I was but a little
displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.
38-3:1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing
before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at
his right hand to resist him.
38-3:8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy
fellows that sit before thee: for
they are men wondered at: for,
behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
38-7:5 Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the
priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me?
38-11:13 And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the
LORD.
38-12:8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of
Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at
that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.
38-14:7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the
LORD, not day, nor night: but it
shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
38-14:14 And Judah also shall fight at
Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered
together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
39-1:10 Who is there even
among you that would shut the doors for
nought? neither do ye kindle fire on
mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts,
neither will I accept an offering at your hand.
39-1:13 Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and
the sick; thus ye brought an offering:
should I accept this of your hand? saith the LORD.
39-2:7 For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they
should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.
39-2:8 But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused
many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted
the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.
39-2:13 And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the
LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth
not the offering any more, or receiveth it
with good will at your hand.
40-3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at
hand.
40-4:6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast
thyself down: for it is written, He
shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they
shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash
thy foot against a stone.
40-4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say,
Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is
at hand.
40-5:25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in
the way with him; lest at any time the adversary
deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou
be cast into prison.
40-5:34 But I say unto you, Swear not at
all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne:
40-5:40 And if any man will sue thee at
the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
40-7:13 Enter ye in at the
strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction,
and many there be which go in thereat:
40-7:28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these
sayings, the people were astonished at his
doctrine:
40-8:6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
40-9:9 And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man,
named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And
he arose, and followed him.
40-9:10 And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and
sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
40-10:7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is
at hand.
40-10:35 For I am come to set a man at
variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the
daughter in law against her mother in law.
40-11:22 But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for
Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for
you.
40-11:25 At
that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and
earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast
revealed them unto babes.
40-12:1 At
that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples
were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
40-12:41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this
generation, and shall condemn it:
because they repented at the preaching of Jonas;
and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
40-13:15 For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and
their eyes they have closed; lest at any time
they should see with their eyes and
hear with their ears, and should
understand with their heart, and
should be converted, and I should heal them.
40-13:49 So shall it be at the
end of the world: the angels shall
come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
40-14:1 At
that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,
40-14:9 And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath’s sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.
40-15:17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out
into the draught?
40-15:30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb,
maimed, and many others, and cast them down at
Jesus’ feet; and he healed them:
40-18:1 At the
same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the
kingdom of heaven?
40-18:29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience
with me, and I will pay thee all.
40-19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read,
that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
40-22:33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his
doctrine.
40-23:6 And love the uppermost rooms at
feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
40-23:24 Ye blind guides, which strain at
a gnat, and swallow a camel.
40-24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things,
know that it is near, even at the doors.
40-24:41 Two women shall
be grinding at the mill; the one shall be
taken, and the other left.
40-25:6 And at midnight there
was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
40-25:27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the
exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with
usury.
40-26:7 There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of
very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.
40-26:18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say
unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand;
I will keep the passover at thy house with my
disciples.
40-26:45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them,
Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands
of sinners.
40-26:46 Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth
betray me.
40-26:60 But found none:
yea, though many false witnesses came, yet
found they none. At the last came two false
witnesses,
40-27:15 Now at that feast the governor was wont to
release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.
41-1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of
God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
41-1:22 And they were astonished at
his doctrine: for he taught them as
one that had authority, and not as the scribes.
41-1:32 And at even, when the
sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were
possessed with devils.
41-1:33 And all the city was gathered together at the door.
41-2:14 And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow
me. And he arose and followed him.
41-2:15 And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat
also together with Jesus and his disciples:
for there were many, and they followed him.
41-4:12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and
hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at
any time they should be converted, and their
sins should be forgiven them.
41-5:22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the
synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
41-5:23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter
lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and
lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
41-6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the
brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters
here with us? And they were offended at him.
41-7:25 For a certain woman,
whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
41-9:12 And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh
first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that
he must suffer many things, and be set at
nought.
41-10:22 And he was sad at that
saying, and went away grieved: for
he had great possessions.
41-10:24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith
unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into
the kingdom of God!
41-11:1 And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage
and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth
forth two of his disciples,
41-11:18 And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy
him: for they feared him, because
all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
41-12:2 And at the season he
sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of
the fruit of the vineyard.
41-12:4 And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.
41-12:17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar
the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s. And they
marvelled at him.
41-12:39 And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the
uppermost rooms at feasts:
41-13:29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things
come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
41-13:35 Watch ye therefore:
for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at
even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
41-14:3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper,
as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an
alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box,
and poured it on his head.
41-14:42 Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.
41-14:54 And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace
of the high priest: and he sat with
the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.
41-15:6 Now at that feast he released unto them one
prisoner, whomsoever they desired.
41-15:34 And at the ninth hour
Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is,
being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
41-16:2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the
sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
41-16:14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and
hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he
was risen.
42-1:10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying
without at the time of incense.
42-1:14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall
rejoice at his birth.
42-1:29 And when she saw him,
she was troubled at his saying, and cast in
her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
42-2:18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which
were told them by the shepherds.
42-2:33 And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.
42-2:41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.
42-2:47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
42-4:11 And in their hands
they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou
dash thy foot against a stone.
42-4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the
poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives,
and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at
liberty them that are bruised,
42-4:22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his
mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?
42-4:32 And they were astonished at
his doctrine: for his word was with
power.
42-5:5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have
toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will
let down the net.
42-5:8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees,
saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
42-5:9 For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:
42-5:27 And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican,
named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.
42-7:9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people
that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in
Israel.
42-7:37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner,
when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster
box of ointment,
42-7:38 And stood at his feet
behind him weeping, and began to wash
his feet with tears, and did wipe them with
the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
42-7:49 And they that sat at
meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins
also?
42-8:19 Then came to him his
mother and his brethren, and could not come at
him for the press.
42-8:26 And they arrived at the
country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.
42-8:35 Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus,
and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
42-8:41 And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was
a ruler of the synagogue: and he
fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought him that
he would come into his house:
42-9:31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which
he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
42-9:43 And they were all amazed at
the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his
disciples,
42-9:61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but
let me first go bid them farewell, which are at
home at my house.
42-10:14 But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you.
42-10:32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
42-10:39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.
42-11:5 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a
friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and
say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;
42-11:32 The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with
this generation, and shall condemn it:
for they repented at the preaching of Jonas;
and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
42-12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an
hour when ye think not.
42-12:46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he
looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in
sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
42-13:1 There were present at
that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had
mingled with their sacrifices.
42-13:24 Strive to enter in at
the strait gate: for many, I say
unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
42-13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath
shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he
shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
42-14:10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the
lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend,
go up higher: then shalt thou have
worship in the presence of them that sit at meat
with thee.
42-14:14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense
thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
42-14:15 And when one of them that sat at
meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the
kingdom of God.
42-14:17 And sent his servant at
supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now
ready.
42-15:29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither
transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid,
that I might make merry with my friends:
42-16:20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which
was laid at his gate, full of sores,
42-17:16 And fell down on his
face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
42-19:5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and
saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I
must abide at thy house.
42-19:23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank,
that at my coming I might have required mine own
with usury?
42-19:29 And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to
Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his
disciples,
42-19:30 Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon
yet never man sat: loose him, and
bring him hither.
42-19:37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole
multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for
all the mighty works that they had seen;
42-19:42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now
they are hid from thine eyes.
42-20:10 And at the season he
sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the
vineyard: but the husbandmen beat
him, and sent him away empty.
42-20:26 And they could not take hold of his words before the
people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.
42-20:37 Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of
Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
42-20:40 And after that they durst not ask him any question at
all.
42-20:46 Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long
robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the
synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;
42-21:30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own
selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
42-21:31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass,
know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
42-21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with
surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
42-21:37 And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and
at night he went out, and abode in the mount
that is called the mount of Olives.
42-22:27 For whether is greater,
he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.
42-22:30 That ye may eat and drink at
my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
42-22:40 And when he was at the
place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
42-23:7 And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod’s
jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that
time.
42-23:11 And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to
Pilate.
42-23:12 And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends
together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.
42-23:17 (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)
42-23:18 And they cried out all at
once, saying, Away with this man, and
release unto us Barabbas:
42-24:12 Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and
stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed,
wondering in himself at that which was come to
pass.
42-24:22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us
astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
42-24:27 And beginning at Moses
and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things
concerning himself.
42-24:30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
42-24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be
preached in his name among all nations, beginning at
Jerusalem.
43-1:18 No man hath seen God at
any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath
declared him.
43-2:10 And saith unto him, Every man at
the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that
which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
43-2:13 And the Jews’ passover was at
hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
43-2:23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at
the passover, in the feast day, many
believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.
43-4:21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour
cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
43-4:45 Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans
received him, having seen all the things that he did at
Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.
43-4:46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he
made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.
43-4:47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into
Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal
his son: for he was at the point of death.
43-4:52 Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to
amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the
seventh hour the fever left him.
43-4:53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the
which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth:
and himself believed, and his whole house.
43-5:2 Now there is at
Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool,
which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
43-5:4 For an angel went down at
a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in
was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
43-5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which
all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
43-5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne
witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at
any time, nor seen his shape.
43-6:21 Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.
43-6:39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that
of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up
again at the last day.
43-6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every
one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
43-6:41 The Jews then murmured at
him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.
43-6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath
sent me draw him: and I will raise
him up at the last day.
43-6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath
eternal life; and I will raise him up at the
last day.
43-6:61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured
at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
43-7:2 Now the Jews’ feast of tabernacles was at hand.
43-7:11 Then the Jews sought him at
the feast, and said, Where is he?
43-7:23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that
the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at
me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?
43-8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up
himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast
a stone at her.
43-8:9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their
own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at
the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the
woman standing in the midst.
43-8:59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but
Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them,
and so passed by.
43-10:22 And it was at Jerusalem
the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.
43-10:40 And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where
John at first baptized; and there he abode.
43-11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again
in the resurrection at the last day.
43-11:32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him,
she fell down at his feet, saying unto him,
Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
43-11:49 And one of them, named
Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know
nothing at all,
43-11:55 And the Jews’ passover was nigh at hand:
and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify
themselves.
43-12:2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.
43-12:16 These things understood not his disciples at the first:
but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were
written of him, and that they had
done these things unto him.
43-12:20 And there were certain Greeks among them that came up
to worship at the feast:
43-13:28 Now no man at the table
knew for what intent he spake this unto him.
43-14:20 At
that day ye shall know that I am in
my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
43-16:4 But these things have I told you, that when the time
shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said
not unto you at the beginning, because I was
with you.
43-16:26 At
that day ye shall ask in my name:
and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
43-18:16 But Peter stood at the
door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high
priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.
43-18:38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had
said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him
no fault at
all.
43-18:39 But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you
one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
43-19:11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against
me, except it were given thee from above:
therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
43-19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a
mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.
43-19:42 There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews’
preparation day; for the sepulchre
was nigh at hand.
43-20:11 But Mary stood without at
the sepulchre weeping: and as she
wept, she stooped down, and looked into
the sepulchre,
43-20:12 And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at
the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
43-20:19 Then the same day at
evening, being the first day of the
week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of
the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
43-21:1 After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the
disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this
wise shewed he himself.
43-21:20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom
Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at
supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
44-1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of
him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time
restore again the kingdom to Israel?
44-1:19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in
their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
44-2:5 And there were dwelling at
Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
44-2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his
voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this
known unto you, and hearken to my words:
44-3:1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
44-3:2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was
carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the
temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the
temple;
44-3:10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and
amazement at that which had happened unto him.
44-3:12 And when Peter saw it,
he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though
by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
44-4:6 And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and
Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered
together at Jerusalem.
44-4:11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of
the corner.
44-4:18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
44-4:35 And laid them down
at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had
need.
44-4:37 Having land, sold it,
and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
44-5:2 And kept back part
of the price, his wife also being privy to
it, and brought a certain part, and laid it, at the apostles’ feet.
44-5:9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have
agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which
have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
44-5:10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.
44-5:15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the
streets, and laid them on beds and
couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter
passing by might overshadow some of them.
44-7:13 And at the second time Joseph was made known to his
brethren; and Joseph’s kindred was made known unto Pharaoh.
44-7:26 And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they
strove, and would have set them at one again,
saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?
44-7:29 Then fled Moses at this
saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons.
44-7:31 When Moses saw it,
he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it,
the voice of the Lord came unto him,
44-7:58 And cast him out
of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their
clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was
Saul.
44-8:1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the
church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all
scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the
apostles.
44-8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word
of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
44-8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
44-8:40 But Philip was found at
Azotus: and passing through he
preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.
44-9:10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord
in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
44-9:13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of
this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at
Jerusalem:
44-9:19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened.
Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.
44-9:22 But Saul increased the more in strength, and
confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus,
proving that this is very Christ.
44-9:27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto
them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and
how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the
name of Jesus.
44-9:28 And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem.
44-9:32 And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the
saints which dwelt at Lydda.
44-9:35 And all that dwelt at
Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.
44-9:36 Now there was at Joppa
a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and
almsdeeds which she did.
44-10:11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending
unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at
the four corners, and let down to the earth:
44-10:25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and
fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.
44-10:30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until
this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my
house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
44-11:8 But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at
any time entered into my mouth.
44-11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them,
as on us at the beginning.
44-12:13 And as Peter knocked at
the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda.
44-13:1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas,
and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had
been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
44-13:5 And when they were at
Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.
44-13:12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed,
being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.
44-13:27 For they that dwell at
Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of
the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
44-14:8 And there sat a certain man at
Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never
had walked:
44-15:14 Simeon hath declared how God at
the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
44-16:2 Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.
44-16:4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered
them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders
which were at Jerusalem.
44-16:25 And at midnight Paul
and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God:
and the prisoners heard them.
44-17:13 But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that
the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea,
they came thither also, and stirred up the people.
44-17:16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city
wholly given to idolatry.
44-17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
44-18:22 And when he had landed at
Caesarea, and gone up, and saluted the church, he went down to Antioch.
44-18:24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
44-19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper
coasts came to Ephesus: and finding
certain disciples,
44-19:17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also
dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all,
and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.
44-19:26 Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul
hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which
are made with hands:
44-19:27 So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set
at nought; but also that the temple of the great
goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed,
whom all Asia and the world worshippeth.
44-20:5 These going before tarried for us at Troas.
44-20:14 And when he met with us at
Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.
44-20:15 And we sailed thence, and came the next day over against Chios; and the next day we arrived at
Samos, and tarried at Trogyllium; and the next day we came to Miletus.
44-20:16 For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he
would not spend the time in Asia:
for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at
Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.
44-20:18 And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye
know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been
with you at all seasons,
44-21:3 Now when we had discovered Cyprus, we left it on the
left hand, and sailed into Syria, and landed at
Tyre: for there the ship was to
unlade her burden.
44-21:11 And when he was come unto us, he took Paul’s girdle,
and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall
the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth
this girdle, and shall deliver him into
the hands of the Gentiles.
44-21:13 Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break
mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
44-21:24 Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed
concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou
thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.
44-22:3 I am verily a man which
am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in
Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet
of Gamaliel, and taught according to
the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye
all are this day.
44-23:11 And the night following the Lord stood by him, and
said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as
thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.
44-23:23 And he called unto him
two centurions, saying, Make ready two hundred soldiers to go to Caesarea,
and horsemen threescore and ten, and spearmen two hundred, at the third hour of the night;
44-25:4 But Festus answered, that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly thither.
44-25:8 While he answered for himself, Neither against the law
of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I
offended any thing at all.
44-25:10 Then said Paul, I stand at
Caesar’s judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou very well knowest.
44-25:15 About whom, when I was at
Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, desiring to have judgment against him.
44-25:23 And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice,
with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief
captains, and principal men of the city, at
Festus’ commandment Paul was brought forth.
44-25:24 And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are
here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews
have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to
live any longer.
44-26:4 My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
44-26:13 At
midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of
the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.
44-26:20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea,
and then to the Gentiles, that they
should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
44-26:32 Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have
been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto
Caesar.
44-27:3 And the next day
we touched at Sidon. And Julius courteously
entreated Paul, and gave him liberty
to go unto his friends to refresh himself.
44-28:12 And landing at
Syracuse, we tarried there three
days.
45-1:10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the
will of God to come unto you.
45-1:15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the
gospel to you that are at Rome also.
45-3:26 To declare, I
say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the
justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
45-4:20 He staggered not at the
promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
45-8:34 Who is he
that condemneth? It is Christ that
died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at
the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
45-9:9 For this is the
word of promise, At this time will I come, and
Sarah shall have a son.
45-9:32 Wherefore? Because they
sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they
stumbled at that stumblingstone;
45-11:5 Even so then at this present
time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
45-13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand:
let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour
of light.
45-14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou
set at nought thy brother? for we shall all
stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
45-15:26 For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to
make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.
45-16:1 I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a
servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:
46-1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ
Jesus, called to be saints, with all
that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs
and ours:
46-7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband
liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at
liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
46-8:10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience
of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to
idols;
46-9:7 Who goeth a warfare any time at
his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof?
or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?
46-9:13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy
things live of the things of the
temple? and they which wait at the altar are
partakers with the altar?
46-11:34 And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation.
And the rest will I set in order when I come.
46-14:16 Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall
he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at
thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?
46-14:27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by
two, or at the most by three, and that by
course; and let one interpret.
46-14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their
husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
46-15:6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren
at once; of whom the greater part remain unto
this present, but some are fallen asleep.
46-15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
46-15:29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the
dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they
then baptized for the dead?
46-15:32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise
not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
46-15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:
for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we
shall be changed.
46-16:8 But I will tarry at
Ephesus until Pentecost.
46-16:12 As touching our brother
Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this
time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.
47-1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God,
and Timothy our brother, unto the
church of God which is at Corinth, with all the
saints which are in all Achaia:
47-4:18 While we look not at
the things which are seen, but at the things
which are not seen: for the things
which are seen are temporal; but the
things which are not seen are eternal.
47-5:6 Therefore we are
always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at
home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
47-8:14 But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance
may be a supply for their want, that
their abundance also may be a supply for
your want: that there may be
equality:
48-4:12 Brethren, I beseech you, be as I am; for I am as ye are:
ye have not injured me at all.
48-4:13 Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached
the gospel unto you at the first.
49-1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God,
to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the
faithful in Christ Jesus:
49-1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from
the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
49-2:12 That at that time ye
were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and
strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the
world:
49-3:13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
50-1:1 Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to
all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at
Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
50-2:10 That at the name of
Jesus every knee should bow, of things in
heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
50-4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at
hand.
50-4:10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again;
wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
51-1:2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which
are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and
peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
51-2:1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have
for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for
as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
52-2:2 But even after that we had suffered before, and were
shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi,
we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much
contention.
52-2:5 For neither at any time
used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness:
52-2:19 For what is our
hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not
even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at
his coming?
52-3:1 Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought
it good to be left at Athens alone;
52-3:13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in
holiness before God, even our Father, at the
coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
52-5:13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their
work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
53-2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled,
neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of
Christ is at hand.
53-3:11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you
disorderly, working not at all, but are
busybodies.
54-1:3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou
mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
54-5:4 But if any widow have children or nephews, let them
learn first to shew piety at home, and to
requite their parents: for that is
good and acceptable before God.
55-1:18 The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the
Lord in that day: and in how many
things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou
knowest very well.
55-2:26 And that they
may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by
him at his will.
55-3:11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium,
at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
55-4:1 I charge thee therefore
before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
55-4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my
departure is at hand.
55-4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day:
and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
55-4:13 The cloke that I left at
Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with
thee, and the books, but especially
the parchments.
55-4:16 At my
first answer no man stood with me, but all men
forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.
55-4:20 Erastus abode at
Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.
56-2:5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at
home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not
blasphemed.
58-1:1 God, who at sundry
times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the
prophets,
58-1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten
thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
58-1:13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine
enemies thy footstool?
58-2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to
the things which we have heard, lest at any time
we should let them slip.
58-2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation;
which at the first began to be spoken by the
Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
58-7:13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to
another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at
the altar.
58-9:17 For a testament is
of force after men are dead:
otherwise it is of no strength at all while the
testator liveth.
58-12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set
before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
58-13:23 Know ye that our
brother Timothy is set at liberty; with
whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.
59-3:11 Doth a fountain send forth at
the same place sweet water and
bitter?
60-1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious
than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto
praise and honour and glory at the appearing of
Jesus Christ:
60-1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober,
and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
60-2:8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
60-4:7 But the end of all things is at
hand: be ye therefore sober, and
watch unto prayer.
60-4:17 For the time is
come that judgment must begin at the house
of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
60-5:13 The church that
is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son.
62-1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him,
and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
62-2:28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he
shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
62-4:12 No man hath seen God at
any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected
in us.
66-1:3 Blessed is he
that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those
things which are written therein:
for the time is at hand.
66-1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at
his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not;
I am the first and the last:
66-3:20 Behold, I stand at the
door, and knock: if any man hear my
voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he
with me.
66-8:3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was
given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was
before the throne.
66-18:14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed
from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee,
and thou shalt find them no more at all.
66-18:21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great
millstone, and cast it into the sea,
saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and
shall be found no more at all.
66-18:22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of
pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at
all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a
millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
66-18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of
the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men
of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
66-19:2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he
hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication,
and hath avenged the blood of his servants at
her hand.
66-19:10 And I fell at his feet
to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou
do it not: I am thy
fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
66-21:12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the
gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
66-21:25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day:
for there shall be no night there.
66-22:10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the
prophecy of this book: for the time
is at hand.
