06-7:8 O Lord, what shall I say, when Israel turneth
their backs before their enemies!
06-7:12 Therefore
the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies,
because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye
destroy the accursed from among you.
07-20:42 Therefore
they turned their backs before the men of Israel unto the way of the wilderness;
but the battle overtook them; and them which came out of the cities they destroyed in the midst of them.
14-29:6 For our
fathers have trespassed, and done that
which was evil in the eyes of the LORD our God, and have forsaken him, and
have turned away their faces from the habitation of the LORD, and turned their backs.
16-9:26 Nevertheless
they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their
backs, and slew thy prophets which testified
against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought great provocations.
26-8:16 And he
brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S house, and, behold, at the door
of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with
their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and
their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
26-10:12 And their
whole body, and their backs, and their hands,
and their wings, and the wheels, were full
of eyes round about, even the wheels
that they four had.

02-EXODUS
02-3:1 Now
Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he
led the flock to the backside of the desert, and
came to the mountain of God, even to
Horeb.
02-26:12 And the
remnant that remaineth of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that
remaineth, shall hang over the backside of the
tabernacle.
66-5:1 And I saw
in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on
the backside, sealed with seven seals.

20-PROVERBS
20-14:14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways:
and a good man shall be satisfied from
himself.

24-JEREMIAH
24-3:6 The LORD
said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding
Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green
tree, and there hath played the harlot.
24-3:8 And I
saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding
Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce;
yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot
also.
24-3:11 And the
LORD said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath
justified herself more than treacherous Judah.
24-3:12 Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and
say, Return, thou backsliding Israel,
saith the LORD; and I will not cause
mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful,
saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever.
24-3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married
unto you: and I will take you one of a city,
and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:
24-3:22 Return,
ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for
thou art the LORD our God.
24-8:5 Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden
back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast
deceit, they refuse to return.
24-31:22 How long
wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter?
for the LORD hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a
man.
24-49:4 Wherefore
gloriest thou in the valleys, thy flowing valley, O backsliding
daughter? that trusted in her treasures, saying,
Who shall come unto me?
28-4:16 For
Israel slideth back as a backsliding heifer: now
the LORD will feed them as a lamb in a large place.
28-11:7 And my
people are bent to backsliding from me: though
they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt him.
28-14:4 I will
heal their backsliding, I will love them freely:
for mine anger is turned away from him.

24-JEREMIAH
24-2:19 Thine own
wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings
shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and
bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of
hosts.
24-3:22 Return,
ye backsliding children, and I will
heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto
thee; for thou art the LORD our God.
24-5:6 Wherefore
a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and
a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities:
every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their
transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.
24-14:7 O LORD,
though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy name’s sake: for our backslidings
are many; we have sinned against thee.

01-GENESIS
01-9:23 And Shem
and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon
both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered
the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness.
01-49:17 Dan shall
be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so
that his rider shall fall backward.
09-4:18 And it
came to pass, when he made mention of the ark of God, that he fell from off the
seat backward by the side of the gate, and his
neck brake, and he died: for he was an old man, and heavy. And he had judged
Israel forty years.
12-20:10 And
Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees:
nay, but let the shadow return backward ten
degrees.
12-20:11 And Isaiah
the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of
Ahaz.
18-23:8 Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
19-40:14 Let them
be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them
be driven backward and put to shame that wish me
evil.
19-70:2 Let them
be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.
23-1:4 Ah
sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that
are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of
Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
23-28:13 But the word
of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon
line, line upon line; here a little, and there
a little; that they might go, and fall backward,
and be broken, and snared, and taken.
23-38:8 Behold, I
will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial
of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun
returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
23-44:25 That
frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise
men backward,
and maketh their knowledge foolish;
23-59:14 And
judgment is turned away backward, and justice
standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
24-7:24 But they
hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil
heart, and went backward, and not forward.
24-15:6 Thou hast
forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward:
therefore will I stretch out my hand against
thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting.
25-1:8 Jerusalem
hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise
her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward.
43-18:6 As soon
then as he had said unto them, I am he, they
went backward, and fell to the ground.

01-GENESIS
01-24:50 Then Laban
and Bethuel answered and said, The thing proceedeth from the LORD: we cannot
speak unto thee bad or good.
01-31:24 And God
came to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night, and said unto him, Take heed that
thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
01-31:29 It is in
the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me
yesternight, saying, Take thou heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or
bad.
03-27:10 He shall
not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or
a bad for a good: and if he shall at all change
beast for beast, then it and the exchange thereof shall be holy.
03-27:12 And the
priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad:
as thou valuest it, who art the
priest, so shall it be.
03-27:14 And when a
man shall sanctify his house to be holy
unto the LORD, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it
stand.
03-27:33 He shall
not search whether it be good or bad, neither
shall he change it: and if he change it at all, then both it and the change
thereof shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.
04-13:19 And what
the land is that they dwell in,
whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds;
04-24:13 If Balak
would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the
commandment of the LORD, to do either good
or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I speak?
10-13:22 And
Absalom spake unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad:
for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.
10-14:17 Then thine
handmaid said, The word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable: for as an
angel of God, so is my lord the king
to discern good and bad: therefore the LORD thy
God will be with thee.
11-3:9 Give
therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may
discern between good and bad: for who is able to
judge this thy so great a people?
15-4:12 Be it
known unto the king, that the Jews which came up from thee to us are come unto
Jerusalem, building the rebellious and the bad
city, and have set up the walls thereof, and
joined the foundations.
24-24:2 One
basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which
could not be eaten, they were so bad.
40-13:48 Which,
when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into
vessels, but cast the bad away.
40-22:10 So those servants went out into the highways, and
gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with
guests.
47-5:10 For we
must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive
the things done in his body, according to that he hath
done, whether it be good or bad.

01-GENESIS
01-43:17 And the man did as Joseph bade;
and the man brought the men into Joseph’s house.
02-16:24 And they
laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and
it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.
04-14:10 But all the congregation bade
stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in the
tabernacle of the congregation before all
the children of Israel.
06-11:9 And
Joshua did unto them as the LORD bade him: he
houghed their horses, and burnt their chariots with fire.
08-3:6 And she
went down unto the floor, and did according to all that her mother in law bade her.
09-24:10 Behold,
this day thine eyes have seen how that the LORD had delivered thee to day into
mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill
thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I
said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the LORD’S anointed.
10-1:18 (Also he bade them teach the children of Judah the use of the bow: behold, it is written in the book of Jasher.)
10-14:19 And the king said, Is not the hand of Joab with thee in all this? And the woman
answered and said, As thy soul liveth, my lord the king,
none can turn to the right hand or to
the left from ought that my lord the king hath spoken: for thy servant Joab, he
bade me, and he put all these words in the mouth
of thine handmaid:
14-10:12 So
Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam on the third day, as the king bade, saying, Come again to me on the third day.
17-ESTHER
17-4:15 Then
Esther bade them
return Mordecai this answer,
40-16:12 Then
understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread,
but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
42-14:9 And he
that bade thee and him come and say to thee,
Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.
42-14:10 But when
thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up
higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat
with thee.
42-14:12 Then said
he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a
dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy
kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours;
lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.
42-14:16 Then said
he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade
many:
44-11:12 And the
Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting.
Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s
house:
44-18:21 But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep
this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God
will. And he sailed from Ephesus.
44-22:24 The chief
captain commanded him to be brought into the castle, and bade that he should be examined by scourging; that he
might know wherefore they cried so against him.
