01-GENESIS
01-1:5 And
God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the
first day.
01-1:8 And
God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening
and the morning were the second day.
01-1:10 And
God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
01-2:19 And
out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl
of the air; and brought them unto
Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
01-2:23 And
Adam said, This is now bone of my
bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called
Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
01-3:9 And
the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto
him, Where art thou?
01-3:20 And
Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was
the mother of all living.
01-4:17 And
Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city,
and called the name of the city, after the name
of his son, Enoch.
01-4:25 And
Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called
his name Seth: For God, said she, hath
appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
01-4:26 And
to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called
his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.
01-5:2 Male
and female created he them; and blessed them, and called
their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
01-5:3 And
Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:
01-5:29 And
he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our
work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.
01-11:9 Therefore
is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD
did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD
scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
01-12:8 And
he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his
tent, having Bethel on the west, and
Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD.
01-12:18 And
Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife?
01-13:4 Unto
the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.
01-16:13 And
she called the name of the LORD that spake unto
her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that
seeth me?
01-16:14 Wherefore
the well was called Beerlahairoi; behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered.
01-16:15 And
Hagar bare Abram a son: and Abram called his
son’s name, which Hagar bare, Ishmael.
01-17:5 Neither
shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy
name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
01-19:5 And
they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this
night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
01-19:22 Haste
thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore
the name of the city was called Zoar.
01-19:37 And
the firstborn bare a son, and called his name
Moab: the same is the father of the
Moabites unto this day.
01-19:38 And
the younger, she also bare a son, and called his
name Benammi: the same is the father
of the children of Ammon unto this day.
01-20:8 Therefore
Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called
all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were
sore afraid.
01-20:9 Then
Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him,
What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast
brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that
ought not to be done.
01-21:3 And
Abraham called the name of his son that was born
unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.
01-21:12 And
God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad,
and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken
unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
01-21:17 And
God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called
to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not;
for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.
01-21:31 Wherefore
he called that place Beersheba; because there
they sware both of them.
01-21:33 And
Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba,
and called there on the name of the LORD, the
everlasting God.
01-22:11 And
the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven,
and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
01-22:14 And
Abraham called the name of that place
Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this
day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
01-22:15 And
the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of
heaven the second time,
01-24:58 And
they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt
thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.
01-25:25 And
the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.
01-25:26 And
after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his
name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare
them.
01-25:30 And
Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called
Edom.
01-26:9 And
Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a
surety she is thy wife: and how
saidst thou, She is my sister? And
Isaac said unto him, Because I said, Lest I die for her.
01-26:18 And
Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of
Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of
Abraham: and he called their names after the
names by which his father had called them.
01-26:20 And
the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac’s herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called
the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him.
01-26:21 And
they digged another well, and strove for that also: and he called the name of it Sitnah.
01-26:22 And
he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not:
and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he
said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the
land.
01-26:25 And
he builded an altar there, and called upon the
name of the LORD, and pitched his tent there: and there Isaac’s servants digged
a well.
01-26:33 And
he called it Shebah: therefore the name of the
city is Beersheba unto this day.
01-27:1 And
it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he
could not see, he called Esau his eldest son,
and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I.

these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him,
Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee.
01-28:1 And
Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged
him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.

he called the name of that place Bethel: but the
name of that city was called Luz at the first.
01-29:32 And
Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called
his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the LORD hath looked upon my affliction;
now therefore my husband will love me.
01-29:33 And
she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the LORD hath heard that
I was hated, he hath therefore given
me this son also: and she called his name Simeon.
01-29:34 And
she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be
joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi.
01-29:35 And
she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the LORD:
therefore she called his name Judah; and left
bearing.
01-30:6 And
Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given
me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.
01-30:8 And

sons: and she called his name Zebulun.

Laban said, This heap is a witness
between me and thee this day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed;
01-31:54 Then
Jacob offered sacrifice upon the mount, and called
his brethren to eat bread: and they did eat bread, and tarried all night in the
mount.
01-32:2 And
when Jacob saw them, he said, This is God’s
host: and he called the name of that place

he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob,
but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast
prevailed.

Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I
have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
01-33:17 And
Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his
cattle: therefore the name of the place is called
Succoth.

he erected there an altar, and called it
Elelohe-Israel.

his brother.

Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother,
he called not.
11-1:19 And
he hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the sons of the king, and Abiathar the
priest, and Joab the captain of the host: but Solomon thy servant hath he not called.

and drink before him, and say, God save king Adonijah.

called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD
answered me, and set me in a large
place.

my hand, and no man regarded;

wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the
sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.

that deviseth to do evil shall be called a
mischievous person.

in Zion, and he that remaineth in

living in Jerusalem:

unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be
upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called

thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring
on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called
forth against him, he will not be
afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the
LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.

vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor
the churl said to be bountiful.

though fools, shall not err therein.
23-41:2 Who
raised up the righteous man from the
east, called him to his foot, gave the nations
before him, and made him rule over
kings? he gave them as the dust to
his sword, and as driven stubble to
his bow.
23-41:9 Thou whom I have taken from the ends of
the earth, and called thee from the chief men
thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my
servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.
23-42:6 I
the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and
will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the
people, for a light of the Gentiles;
23-43:1 But
now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O
Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called
thee by thy name; thou art mine.
23-43:7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my
glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
23-43:22 But
thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou
hast been weary of me, O Israel.
23-45:4 For
Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though
thou hast not known me.
23-47:1 Come
down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the
Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called
tender and delicate.
23-47:5 Sit
thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou
shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms.
23-48:1 Hear
ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by
the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear
by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.
23-48:8 Yea,
thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened: for I knew
that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called
a transgressor from the womb.
23-48:12 Hearken
unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the
last.
23-48:15 I,
even I, have spoken; yea, I have called him: I have brought him, and he shall make his
way prosperous.
23-49:1 Listen,
O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother
hath he made mention of my name.
23-50:2 Wherefore,
when I came, was there no man? when I
called, was
there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem?
or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make
the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.
23-51:2 Look
unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that
bare you: for I called him alone, and
blessed him, and increased him.
23-54:5 For
thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD
of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer
the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
23-54:6 For
the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken
and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy
God.
23-56:7 Even
them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of
prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
23-58:12 And
they that shall be of thee shall build
the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations;
and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the
breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
23-61:3 To
appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the
oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
that they might be called trees of
righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
23-62:2 And
the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou
shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth
of the LORD shall name.
23-62:4 Thou
shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed
Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah,
and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be
married.
23-62:12 And
they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt
be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.
23-63:19 We
are thine: thou never barest rule
over them; they were not called by thy name.
23-65:1 I
am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold
me, behold me, unto a nation that was
not called by my name.
23-65:12 Therefore
will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter:
because when I called, ye did not answer; when I
spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
23-66:4 I
also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because
when I called, none did answer; when I spake,
they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
24-7:10 And
come and stand before me in this house, which is called
by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?
24-7:11 Is
this house, which is called by my name, become a
den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.
24-7:13 And
now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spake unto
you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;
24-7:14 Therefore
will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the
place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.
24-7:30 For
the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set
their abominations in the house which is called
by my name, to pollute it.
24-7:32 Therefore,
behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom,
but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no
place.
24-11:16 The
LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a
great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.
24-12:6 For
even thy brethren, and the house of thy father, even they have dealt
treacherously with thee; yea, they have called a
multitude after thee: believe them not, though they speak fair words unto thee.
24-14:9 Why
shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O LORD, art in the midst of us, and we are called
by thy name; leave us not.
24-15:16 Thy
words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and
rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy
name, O LORD God of hosts.
24-19:6 Therefore,
behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom,
but The valley of slaughter.
24-20:3 And
it came to pass on the morrow, that Pashur brought forth Jeremiah out of the
stocks. Then said Jeremiah unto him, The LORD hath not called
thy name Pashur, but Magormissabib.
24-23:6 In
his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
24-25:29 For,
lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called
by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished:
for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the
LORD of hosts.
24-30:17 For
I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the
LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
24-32:34 But
they set their abominations in the house, which is called
by my name, to defile it.
24-33:16 In
those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.
24-34:15 And
ye were now turned, and had done right in my sight, in proclaiming liberty
every man to his neighbour; and ye had made a covenant before me in the house
which is called by my name:
24-35:17 Therefore
thus saith the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon
Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have
pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not
heard; and I have called unto them, but they
have not answered.
24-36:4 Then
Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and
Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had
spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.
24-42:8 Then
called he Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the
captains of the forces which were with
him, and all the people from the least even to the greatest,
25-1:15 The
Lord hath trodden under foot all my mighty men
in the midst of me: he hath called an
assembly against me to crush my young men: the Lord hath trodden the virgin,
the daughter of Judah, as in a
winepress.
25-1:19 I
called for my lovers, but they deceived me: my priests and mine elders gave up the ghost
in the city, while they sought their meat to relieve their souls.
25-1:21 They
have heard that I sigh: there is none
to comfort me: all mine enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that thou
hast done it: thou wilt bring the day
that thou hast called, and they shall be like unto me.
25-2:22 Thou
hast called as in a solemn day my terrors round
about, so that in the day of the LORD’S anger none escaped nor remained: those
that I have swaddled and brought up hath mine enemy consumed.
25-3:55 I
called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low
dungeon.
25-3:57 Thou
drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not.
26-9:3 And
the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was,
to the threshold of the house. And he called to
the man clothed with linen, which had the
writer’s inkhorn by his side;
26-20:29 Then
I said unto them, What is the high
place whereunto ye go? And the name thereof is called
Bamah unto this day.
27-5:12 Forasmuch
as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of
dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the
same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation.
27-8:16 And
I heard a man’s voice between the banks
of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel,
make this man to understand the
vision.
27-9:18 O
my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our
desolations, and the city which is called by thy
name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our
righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.
27-9:19 O
Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own
sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called
by thy name.
27-10:1 In
the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose
name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing,
and had understanding of the vision.
28-11:1 When
Israel was a child, then I loved him,
and called my son out of Egypt.
28-11:2 As they called
them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense
to graven images.
28-11:7 And
my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called
them to the most High, none at all would exalt him.
30-7:4 Thus
hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great
deep, and did eat up a part.
30-9:12 That
they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.
37-1:11 And
I called for a drought upon the land, and upon
the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and
upon that which the ground bringeth
forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.
38-8:3 Thus
saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of
Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city
of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.
38-11:7 And
I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you,
O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.
40-1:16 And
Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
40-1:25 And
knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
40-2:7 Then
Herod, when he had privily called the wise men,
enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.
40-2:15 And
was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken
of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.
40-2:23 And
he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth:
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.
40-4:18 And
Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net
into the sea: for they were fishers.
40-4:21 And
going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee
their father, mending their nets; and he called
them.
40-5:9 Blessed
are the peacemakers: for they shall
be called the children of God.
40-5:19 Whosoever
therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so,
he shall be called the least in the kingdom of
heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them,
the same shall be called great in the kingdom
of heaven.
40-10:1 And
when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner
of sickness and all manner of disease.
40-10:2 Now
the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his
brother;
40-10:25 It
is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his
lord. If they have called the master of the
house Beelzebub, how much more shall they
call them of his household?
40-13:55 Is
not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called
Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
40-15:10 And
he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear,
and understand:
40-15:32 Then
Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because
they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not
send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
40-18:2 And
Jesus called a little child unto him, and set
him in the midst of them,
40-18:32 Then
his lord, after that he had called him, said
unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou
desiredst me:
40-20:16 So
the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
40-20:25 But
Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles
exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon
them.
40-20:32 And
Jesus stood still, and called them, and said,
What will ye that I shall do unto you?
40-21:13 And
said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called
the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
40-22:14 For
many are called, but few are chosen.
40-23:7 And
greetings in the markets, and to be called of
men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
40-23:8 But
be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
40-23:10 Neither
be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
40-25:14 For
the kingdom of heaven is as a man
travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his
goods.
40-26:3 Then
assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the
people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called
Caiaphas,
40-26:14 Then
one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went
unto the chief priests,
40-26:36 Then
cometh Jesus with them unto a place called
Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray
yonder.
40-27:8 Wherefore
that field was called, The field of blood, unto
this day.
40-27:16 And
they had then a notable prisoner, called
Barabbas.
40-27:17 Therefore
when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I
release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called
Christ?
40-27:22 Pilate
saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They
all say unto him, Let him be crucified.
40-27:33 And
when they were come unto a place called
Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,
41-1:20 And
straightway he called them: and they left their
father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.
41-3:23 And
he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out
Satan?
41-6:7 And
he called unto
him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them
power over unclean spirits;
41-7:14 And
when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken
unto me every one of you, and
understand:
41-8:1 In
those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them,
41-8:34 And
when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he
said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up
his cross, and follow me.
41-9:35 And
he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith
unto them, If any man desire to be first, the
same shall be last of all, and servant of all.
41-10:42 But
Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted
to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones
exercise authority upon them.
41-10:49 And
Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called.
And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he
calleth thee.
41-11:17 And
he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have
made it a den of thieves.
41-12:43 And
he called unto
him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this
poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
41-14:72 And
the second time the cock crew. And Peter called
to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou
shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.
41-15:16 And
the soldiers led him away into the hall, called
Praetorium; and they call together the whole band.
42-1:32 He
shall be great, and shall be called the Son of
the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father
David:

the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and
the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing
which shall be born of thee shall be called the
Son of God.

behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and
this is the sixth month with her, who was called
barren.
42-1:59 And
it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and
they called him Zacharias, after the name of his
father.
42-1:60 And
his mother answered and said, Not so; but
he shall be called John.
42-1:61 And
they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name.
42-1:62 And
they made signs to his father, how he would have him called.
42-1:76 And
thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the
Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
42-2:4 And
Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto
the city of David, which is called Bethlehem;
(because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
42-2:21 And
when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name
was called JESUS, which was so named of the
angel before he was conceived in the womb.
42-2:23 (As
it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be
called holy to the Lord;)
42-6:13 And
when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he
named apostles;
42-6:15 Matthew
and Thomas, James the son of

people.
42-8:2 And
certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,

gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at

thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
42-15:19 And
am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me
as one of thy hired servants.
42-15:21 And
the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight,
and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
42-15:26 And
he called one of the servants, and asked what
these things meant.
42-16:2 And
he called him, and said unto him, How is it that
I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no
longer steward.
42-16:5 So
he called every one of his lord’s debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How

forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

he commanded these servants to be called unto
him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had
gained by trading.
42-19:29 And
it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount
of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
42-21:37 And
in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and
abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.
42-22:1 Now

the Passover.
42-22:25 And
he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and

benefactors.

unto Jesus to kiss him.
42-23:13 And
Pilate, when he had called together the chief

and the other on the left.
42-24:13 And,
behold, two of them went that same day to a village called
Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore

both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the
marriage.
43-2:9 When
the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not
whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of

cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called

things.

a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue

made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam,
and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.
43-9:18 But
the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received

said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.
43-10:35 If
he called them gods, unto whom the word of God
came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

when she had so said, she went her way, and called
Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.

near to the wilderness, into a city called
Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.
43-12:17 The
people therefore that was with him when he called
Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.
43-15:15 Henceforth
I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I
have called you friends; for all things that I have
heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
43-18:33 Then
Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called
Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?
43-19:13 When
Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the
judgment seat in a place that is called the
Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.
43-19:17 And
he bearing his cross went forth into a place called
the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:
43-20:24 But
Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was
not with them when Jesus came.
43-21:2 There
were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called
Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
44-1:12 Then
returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called
Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.
44-1:19 And
it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to
say, The field of blood.
44-1:23 And
they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who
was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
44-3:2 And
a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at
the gate of the temple which is called
Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
44-3:11 And
as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran
together unto them in the porch that is called
Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
44-4:18 And
they called them, and commanded them not to
speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
44-5:21 And
when they heard that, they entered
into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and
they that were with him, and called the council
together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison
to have them brought.
44-5:40 And
to him they agreed: and when they had called the
apostles, and beaten them, they
commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
44-6:2 Then
the twelve called the multitude of the disciples
unto them, and said, It is not reason
that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
44-6:9 Then
there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called
the synagogue of the Libertines, and
Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with
Stephen.
44-7:14 Then
sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and
fifteen souls.
44-8:9 But
there was a certain man, called Simon, which
beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria,
giving out that himself was some great one:
44-9:11 And
the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go
into the street which is called Straight, and
enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,
44-9:21 But
all that heard him were amazed, and
said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called
on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring
them bound unto the chief priests?
44-9:36 Now
there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is
called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works
and almsdeeds which she did.
44-9:41 And
he gave her his hand, and lifted her up,
and when he had called the saints and widows,
presented her alive.
44-10:1 There
was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius,
a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
44-10:7 And
when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout
soldier of them that waited on him continually;
44-10:18 And
called, and asked whether Simon, which was
surnamed Peter, were lodged there.
44-10:23 Then
called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away
with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
44-10:24 And
the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and
had called together his kinsmen and near
friends.
44-11:26 And
when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a
whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people.
And the disciples were called Christians first
in Antioch.
44-13:1 Now
there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as
Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and
Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the
tetrarch, and Saul.
44-13:2 As
they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me
Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called
them.
44-13:7 Which
was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the
word of God.
44-13:9 Then
Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his
eyes on him,
44-14:12 And
they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul,
Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.
44-15:17 That
the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom
my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all
these things.
44-16:10 And
after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia,
assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us
for to preach the gospel unto them.
44-16:29 Then
he called for a light, and sprang in, and came
trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
44-19:25 Whom
he called together with the workmen of like
occupation, and said, Sirs, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth.
44-19:40 For
we are in danger to be called in question for
this day’s uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this
concourse.
44-20:1 And
after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into
Macedonia.
44-20:17 And
from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the
elders of the church.
44-23:6 But
when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees,
he cried out in the council, Men and brethren,
I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the
dead I am called in question.
44-23:17 Then
Paul called one of the centurions unto him, and said, Bring this young man unto
the chief captain: for he hath a certain thing to tell him.
44-23:18 So
he took him, and brought him to the
chief captain, and said, Paul the prisoner called
me unto him, and prayed me to bring
this young man unto thee, who hath something to say unto thee.
44-23:23 And
he called unto him two centurions, saying, Make ready two hundred soldiers to go
to Caesarea, and horsemen threescore and ten, and spearmen two hundred, at the
third hour of the night;
44-24:2 And
when he was called forth, Tertullus began to
accuse him, saying, Seeing that by
thee we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done unto this
nation by thy providence,
44-24:21 Except
it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the
resurrection of the dead I am called in question
by you this day.
44-27:8 And,
hardly passing it, came unto a place which is called
The fair havens; nigh whereunto was the city of Lasea.
44-27:14 But
not long after there arose against it a tempestuous wind, called Euroclydon.
44-27:16 And
running under a certain island which is called Clauda,
we had much work to come by the boat:
44-28:1 And
when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.
44-28:17 And
it came to pass, that after three days Paul called
the chief of the Jews together: and when
they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the
people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem
into the hands of the Romans.
44-28:20 For
this cause therefore have I called for you, to
see you, and to speak with you: because that for the hope of Israel
I am bound with this chain.
45-1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an
apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
45-1:6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
45-1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of
God, called to
be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus
Christ.
45-2:17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy
boast of God,
45-7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to
another man, she shall be called an adulteress:
but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no
adulteress, though she be married to another man.
45-8:28 And we know that all things work
together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
45-8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate,
them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified,
them he also glorified.
45-9:7 Neither, because they are the seed
of Abraham, are they all children:
but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
45-9:24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the
Gentiles?
45-9:26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto
them, Ye are not my people; there
shall they be called the children of the living
God.
46-1:1 Paul,
called to
be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,
46-1:2 Unto
the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ
Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of
Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
46-1:9 God
is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our
Lord.
46-1:24 But
unto them which are called, both Jews and
Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
46-1:26 For
ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not
many mighty, not many noble, are called:
46-5:11 But
now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an
idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no
not to eat.
46-7:15 But
if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under
bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
46-7:17 But
as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called
every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
46-7:18 Is
any man called being circumcised? let him not
become uncircumcised. Is any called in
uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.
46-7:20 Let
every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.
46-7:21 Art
thou called being
a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
46-7:22 For
he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman:
likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant.
46-7:24 Brethren,
let every man, wherein he is called, therein
abide with God.
46-8:5 For
though there be that are called gods, whether in
heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
46-15:9 For
I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called
an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
48-1:6 I
marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called
you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
48-1:15 But
when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by
his grace,
48-5:13 For,
brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only
use not liberty for an occasion to
the flesh, but by love serve one another.
49-2:11 Wherefore
remember, that ye being in time past
Gentiles in the flesh, who are called
Uncircumcision by that which is called the
Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
49-4:1 I
therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the
vocation wherewith ye are called,
49-4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even
as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
51-3:15 And
let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
51-4:11 And
Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the
circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers
unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me.
52-2:12 That
ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you
unto his kingdom and glory.
52-4:7 For
God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but
unto holiness.
53-2:4 Who
opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called
God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing
himself that he is God.
53-2:14 Whereunto
he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of
the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
54-6:12 Fight
the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before
many witnesses.
54-6:20 O
Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of
science falsely so called:
55-1:9 Who
hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according
to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the
world began,
58-3:13 But
exhort one another daily, while it is called To
day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
58-5:4 And
no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called
of God, as was Aaron.
58-5:10 Called of God an high priest after the order of
Melchisedec.
58-7:11 If
therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people
received the law,) what further need was
there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and
not be called after the order of Aaron?
58-9:2 For
there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.
58-9:3
