01-GENESIS
01-21:22 And
it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest:
01-21:32 Thus
they made a covenant at Beersheba: then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the
chief captain of his host, and they returned
into the land of the Philistines.
01-26:26 Then
Abimelech went to him from Gerar, and Ahuzzath one of his friends, and Phichol
the chief captain of his army.
01-37:36 And
the Midianites sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh’s, and captain
of the guard.
01-39:1 And
Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the
hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.
01-40:3 And
he put them in ward in the house of the captain
of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.
01-40:4 And
the captain of the guard charged Joseph with
them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward.
01-41:10 Pharaoh
was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain
of the guard’s house, both me and the
chief baker:
01-41:12 And
there was there with us a young man,
an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard;
and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to
his dream he did interpret.
04-2:3 And
on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the
camp of Judah pitch throughout their armies: and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be captain
of the children of Judah.
04-2:5 And
those that do pitch next unto him shall
be the tribe of Issachar: and Nethaneel the son of Zuar shall be captain
of the children of Issachar.
04-2:7 Then the tribe of Zebulun: and Eliab the
son of Helon shall be captain of the children of Zebulun.
04-2:10 On
the south side shall be the standard
of the camp of Reuben according to their armies: and the captain of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.
04-2:12 And
those which pitch by him shall be the
tribe of Simeon: and the captain of the children
of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son
of Zurishaddai.
04-2:14 Then
the tribe of Gad: and the captain of the sons of
Gad shall be Eliasaph the son of
Reuel.
04-2:18 On
the west side shall be the standard
of the camp of Ephraim according to their armies: and the captain of the sons of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud.
04-2:20 And
by him shall be the tribe of
Manasseh: and the captain of the children of
Manasseh shall be Gamaliel the son of
Pedahzur.
04-2:22 Then
the tribe of Benjamin: and the captain of the
sons of Benjamin shall be Abidan the
son of Gideoni.
04-2:25 The
standard of the camp of Dan shall be on
the north side by their armies: and the captain
of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer
the son of Ammishaddai.
04-2:27 And
those that encamp by him shall be the
tribe of Asher: and the captain of the children
of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of
Ocran.
04-2:29 Then
the tribe of Naphtali: and the captain of the
children of Naphtali shall be Ahira
the son of Enan.
04-14:4 And
they said one to another, Let us make a captain,
and let us return into Egypt.
06-5:14 And
he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And
Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What
saith my lord unto his servant?
06-5:15 And
the captain of the LORD’S host said unto Joshua,
Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.
07-JUDGES
07-4:2 And
the LORD sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, that reigned in
Hazor; the captain of whose host was Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of
the Gentiles.
07-4:7 And
I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain
of Jabin’s army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him
into thine hand.
07-11:6 And
they said unto Jephthah, Come, and be our captain,
that we may fight with the children of Ammon.
07-11:11 Then
Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and captain over them: and Jephthah uttered all his words
before the LORD in Mizpeh.
09-9:16 To
morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and
thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my
people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people,
because their cry is come unto me.
09-10:1 Then
Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon
his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it
not because the LORD hath anointed thee to
be captain over his inheritance?
09-12:9 And
when they forgat the LORD their God, he sold them into the hand of Sisera, captain of the host of Hazor, and into the hand of the
Philistines, and into the hand of the king of Moab, and they fought against
them.
09-13:14 But
now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his
own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to
be captain over his people, because thou
hast not kept that which the LORD
commanded thee.
09-14:50 And
the name of Saul’s wife was Ahinoam,
the daughter of Ahimaaz: and the name of the captain
of his host was Abner, the son of
Ner, Saul’s uncle.
09-17:18 And
carry these ten cheeses unto the captain of their thousand, and look how thy
brethren fare, and take their pledge.
09-17:55 And
when Saul saw David go forth against the Philistine, he said unto Abner, the captain of the host, Abner, whose son is this youth? And Abner said, As thy soul liveth, O king, I cannot
tell.
09-18:13 Therefore
Saul removed him from him, and made him his captain
over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people.
09-22:2 And
every one that was in distress, and
every one that was in debt, and every
one that was discontented, gathered
themselves unto him; and he became a captain
over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.
09-26:5 And
David arose, and came to the place where Saul had pitched: and David beheld the
place where Saul lay, and Abner the son of Ner, the captain
of his host: and Saul lay in the trench, and the people pitched round about
him.
10-2:8 But
Abner the son of Ner, captain of Saul’s host,
took Ishbosheth the son of Saul, and brought him over to Mahanaim;
10-5:2 Also
in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou wast he that leddest out and
broughtest in Israel: and the LORD said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people
Israel, and thou shalt be a captain over Israel.
10-5:8 And
David said on that day, Whosoever getteth up to the gutter, and smiteth the
Jebusites, and the lame and the blind, that
are hated of David’s soul, he shall
be chief and captain. Wherefore they said,
The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.
10-10:16 And
Hadarezer sent, and brought out the Syrians that were beyond the river: and they came to Helam; and Shobach the captain of the host of Hadarezer went before them.
10-10:18 And
the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew the men of seven hundred chariots of the Syrians, and forty
thousand horsemen, and smote Shobach the captain
of their host, who died there.
10-17:25 And
Absalom made Amasa captain of the host instead
of Joab: which Amasa was a man’s son,
whose name was Ithra an Israelite,
that went in to Abigail the daughter of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah Joab’s
mother.
10-19:13 And
say ye to Amasa, Art thou not of my
bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if thou be not captain of the host before me continually in the room
of Joab.
10-23:19 Was
he not most honourable of three? therefore he was their captain: howbeit he attained not unto the first three.
10-24:2 For
the king said to Joab the captain of the host,
which was with him, Go now through
all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beersheba, and number ye the people,
that I may know the number of the people.
11-1:19 And
he hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all
the sons of the king, and Abiathar the priest, and Joab the captain of the host: but Solomon thy servant hath he
not called.
11-2:32 And
the LORD shall return his blood upon his own head, who fell upon two men more
righteous and better than he, and slew them with the sword, my father David not
knowing thereof, to wit, Abner the
son of Ner, captain of the host of Israel, and
Amasa the son of Jether, captain of the host of
Judah.
11-11:15 For
it came to pass, when David was in Edom, and Joab the captain
of the host was gone up to bury the slain, after he had smitten every male in
Edom;
11-11:21 And
when Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers, and that Joab the captain of the host was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh,
Let me depart, that I may go to mine own country.
11-11:24 And
he gathered men unto him, and became captain
over a band, when David slew them of
Zobah: and they went to Damascus, and dwelt therein, and reigned in
Damascus.
11-16:9 And
his servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him, as
he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza steward of his house in Tirzah.
11-16:16 And
the people that were encamped heard
say, Zimri hath conspired, and hath also slain the king: wherefore all Israel
made Omri, the captain of the host, king over
Israel that day in the camp.
12-1:9 Then
the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with
his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill.
And he spake unto him, Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down.
12-1:10 And
Elijah answered and said to the captain of
fifty, If I be a man of God, then let
fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down
fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
12-1:11 Again
also he sent unto him another captain of fifty
with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the
king said, Come down quickly.
12-1:13 And
he sent again a captain of the third fifty with
his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went
up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said
unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty
thy servants, be precious in thy sight.
12-4:13 And
he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with
all this care; what is to be done for
thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among
mine own people.
12-5:1 Now
Naaman, captain of the host of the king of
Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD
had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.
12-9:5 And
when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he
said, To thee, O captain.
12-9:25 Then
said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and
cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember
how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid
this burden upon him;
12-15:25 But
Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his,
conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of the king’s
house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he
killed him, and reigned in his room.
12-18:24 How
then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain
of the least of my master’s servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots
and for horsemen?
12-20:5 Turn
again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my
people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy
prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou
shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.
12-25:8 And
in the fifth month, on the seventh day of
the month, which is the nineteenth
year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, a servant of the king of
Babylon, unto Jerusalem:
12-25:10 And
all the army of the Chaldees, that were
with the captain of the guard, brake down
the walls of Jerusalem round about.
12-25:11 Now
the rest of the people that were left
in the city, and the fugitives that fell away to the king of Babylon, with the
remnant of the multitude, did Nebuzaradan the captain
of the guard carry away.
12-25:12 But
the captain of the guard left of the poor of the
land to be vinedressers and
husbandmen.
12-25:15 And
the firepans, and the bowls, and such
things as were of gold, in gold, and of silver, in silver, the captain
of the guard took away.
12-25:18 And
the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief
priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:
12-25:20 And
Nebuzaradan captain of the guard took these, and
brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah:
13-11:6 And
David said, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. So Joab the son of Zeruiah went first up, and
was chief.
13-11:21 Of
the three, he was more honourable than the two; for he was their captain: howbeit he attained not to the first three.
13-11:42 Adina
the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a captain of the
Reubenites, and thirty with him,
13-19:16 And
when the Syrians saw that they were put to the worse before Israel, they sent
messengers, and drew forth the Syrians that were
beyond the river: and Shophach the captain
of the host of Hadarezer went before
them.
13-19:18 But
the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew of the Syrians seven thousand men which fought in chariots, and forty
thousand footmen, and killed Shophach the captain
of the host.
13-27:5 The
third captain of the host for the third month was Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, a chief
priest: and in his course were twenty
and four thousand.
13-27:7 The
fourth captain
for the fourth month was Asahel
the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
13-27:8 The
fifth captain for the fifth month was Shamhuth the Izrahite: and in his
course were twenty and four thousand.
13-27:9 The
sixth captain
for the sixth month was Ira the
son of Ikkesh the Tekoite: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
13-27:10 The
seventh captain
for the seventh month was Helez
the Pelonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
13-27:11 The
eighth captain
for the eighth month was Sibbecai
the Hushathite, of the Zarhites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
13-27:12 The
ninth captain
for the ninth month was Abiezer
the Anetothite, of the Benjamites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
13-27:13 The
tenth captain
for the tenth month was Maharai
the Netophathite, of the Zarhites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
13-27:14 The
eleventh captain
for the eleventh month was Benaiah
the Pirathonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
13-27:15 The
twelfth captain
for the twelfth month was Heldai
the Netophathite, of Othniel: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
14-13:12 And,
behold, God himself is with us for our captain,
and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of
Israel, fight ye not against the LORD God of your fathers; for ye shall not
prosper.
14-17:15 And
next to him was Jehohanan the captain, and with him two hundred and fourscore
thousand.
16-9:17 And
refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among
them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and
merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.
23-3:3 The
captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the
counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.
23-36:9 How
then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain
of the least of my master’s servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots
and for horsemen?
24-37:13 And
when he was in the gate of Benjamin, a captain
of the ward was there, whose name was Irijah, the son of Shelemiah, the
son of Hananiah; and he took Jeremiah the prophet, saying, Thou fallest away to
the Chaldeans.
24-39:9 Then
Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried
away captive into Babylon the remnant of the people that remained in the city,
and those that fell away, that fell to him, with the rest of the people that
remained.
24-39:10 But
Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the
poor of the people, which had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them
vineyards and fields at the same time.
24-39:11 Now
Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon gave charge concerning Jeremiah to Nebuzaradan
the captain of the guard, saying,
24-39:13 So
Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard sent, and
Nebushasban, Rabsaris, and Nergalsharezer, Rabmag, and all the king of
Babylon’s princes;
24-40:1 The
word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he
had taken him being bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of
Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon.
24-40:2 And
the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said
unto him, The LORD thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place.
24-40:5 Now
while he was not yet gone back, he said, Go
back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of
Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the
people: or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward,
and let him go.
24-41:10 Then
Ishmael carried away captive all the residue of the people that were in Mizpah, even the king’s daughters, and all the people that remained in
Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the
guard had committed to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam: and Ishmael the son of
Nethaniah carried them away captive, and departed to go over to the Ammonites.
24-43:6 Even men, and women, and children, and
the king’s daughters, and every person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of
Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of
Neriah.
24-51:27 Set
ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the
nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni,
and Ashchenaz; appoint a captain against her;
cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillars.
24-52:12 Now
in the fifth month, in the tenth day of
the month, which was the nineteenth
year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, which served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem,
24-52:14 And
all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with
the captain of the guard, brake down all the
walls of Jerusalem round about.
24-52:15 Then
Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried
away captive certain of the poor of
the people, and the residue of the people that remained in the city, and those
that fell away, that fell to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the
multitude.
24-52:16 But
Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left certain of the poor of the land for
vinedressers and for husbandmen.
24-52:19 And
the basons, and the firepans, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the
candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; that
which was of gold in gold, and that which was of silver in silver, took the captain of the guard away.
24-52:24 And
the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief
priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:
24-52:26 So
Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them,
and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.
24-52:30 In
the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews
seven hundred forty and five persons: all the persons were four thousand and six hundred.
27-2:14 Then
Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain
of the king’s guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon:
27-2:15 He
answered and said to Arioch the king’s captain,
Why is the decree so hasty from the king? Then Arioch made
the thing known to Daniel.
43-18:12 Then
the band and the captain and officers of the
Jews took Jesus, and bound him,
44-4:1 And
as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain
of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
44-5:24 Now
when the high priest and the captain of the
temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto
this would grow.
44-5:26 Then
went the captain with the officers, and brought
them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been
stoned.
44-21:31 And
as they went about to kill him, tidings came unto the chief captain of the band, that all Jerusalem was in an
uproar.
44-21:32 Who
immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down unto them: and when they
saw the chief captain and the soldiers, they
left beating of Paul.
44-21:33 Then
the chief captain came near, and took him, and
commanded him to be bound with two
chains; and demanded who he was, and what he had done.
44-21:37 And
as Paul was to be led into the castle, he said unto the chief captain, May I speak unto thee? Who said, Canst thou
speak Greek?
44-22:24 The
chief captain commanded him to be brought into
the castle, and bade that he should be examined by scourging; that he might
know wherefore they cried so against him.
44-22:26 When
the centurion heard that, he went and
told the chief captain, saying, Take heed what
thou doest: for this man is a Roman.
44-22:27 Then
the chief captain came, and said unto him, Tell
me, art thou a Roman? He said, Yea.
44-22:28 And
the chief captain answered, With a great sum
obtained I this freedom. And Paul said, But I was free born.
44-22:29 Then
straightway they departed from him which should have examined him: and the
chief captain also was afraid, after he knew that
he was a Roman, and because he had bound him.
44-23:10 And
when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain,
fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the
soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle.
44-23:15 Now
therefore ye with the council signify to the chief captain
that he bring him down unto you to morrow, as though ye would enquire something
more perfectly concerning him: and we, or ever he come near, are ready to kill
him.
44-23:17 Then
Paul called one of the centurions unto him,
and said, Bring this young man unto the chief captain:
for he hath a certain thing to tell him.
44-23:18 So
he took him, and brought him to the
chief captain, and said, Paul the prisoner
called me unto him, and prayed me to
bring this young man unto thee, who hath something to say unto thee.
44-23:19 Then
the chief captain took him by the hand, and went
with him aside privately, and asked him, What is that thou hast to tell me?
44-23:22 So
the chief captain then let the young man depart, and charged him, See thou tell no man that thou hast shewed these things to me.
44-24:7 But
the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,
44-24:22 And
when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said,
When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I
will know the uttermost of your matter.
44-28:16 And
when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell
by himself with a soldier that kept him.
58-2:10 For
it became him, for whom are all
things, and by whom are all things,
in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain
of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

02-EXODUS
02-14:7 And
he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them.
02-15:4 Pharaoh’s
chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.
04-31:14 And
Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands,
and captains over hundreds, which came from the
battle.
04-31:48 And
the officers which were over
thousands of the host, the captains of
thousands, and captains of hundreds, came near
unto Moses:
04-31:52 And
all the gold of the offering that they offered up to the LORD, of the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven
hundred and fifty shekels.
04-31:54 And
Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains
of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tabernacle of the
congregation, for a memorial for the
children of Israel before the LORD.
05-1:15 So
I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over
you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains
over fifties, and captains over tens, and
officers among your tribes.
05-20:9 And
it shall be, when the officers have made an end of speaking unto the people,
that they shall make captains of the armies to
lead the people.
05-29:10 Ye
stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your
officers, with all the men of Israel,
06-10:24 And
it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua
called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains
of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks
of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.
09-8:12 And
he will appoint him captains over thousands, and
captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to
make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.

Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will
the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains
of hundreds;

the king’s word prevailed against Joab, and against the captains of the host. And Joab and the captains
of the host went out from the presence of the king, to number the people of
Israel.
11-1:25 For
he is gone down this day, and hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in
abundance, and hath called all the king’s sons, and the captains of the host, and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they
eat and drink before him, and say, God save king Adonijah.
11-2:5 Moreover
thou knowest also what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, and what he did to the two captains
of the hosts of Israel, unto Abner the son of Ner, and unto Amasa the son of
Jether, whom he slew, and shed the blood of war in peace, and put the blood of
war upon his girdle that was about
his loins, and in his shoes that were on

there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up the two captains
of the former fifties with their fifties: therefore let my life now be precious
in thy sight.
12-8:21 So
Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night,
and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into
their tents.
12-9:5 And
when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an
errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To
thee, O captain.

it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering,

with them that should go out on the sabbath, and came to Jehoiada the priest.
12-11:10 And
to the captains over hundreds did the priest
give king David’s spears and shields, that were
in the temple of the LORD.
12-11:15 But
Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of
the hundreds, the officers of the host, and said unto them, Have her forth
without the ranges: and him that followeth her kill with the sword. For the
priest had said, Let her not be slain in the house of the LORD.
12-11:19 And
he took the rulers over hundreds, and the captains,

and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi.

this is the number of the mighty men
whom David had; Jashobeam, an Hachmonite, the chief of the captains: he lifted up his spear against three hundred

the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief
of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David,
and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to
thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made
them captains of the band.

13-25:1 Moreover
David and the captains of the host separated to
the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should

workmen according to their service was:

Shelomith and his brethren were over
all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the chief
fathers, the captains over thousands and
hundreds, and the captains of the host, had
dedicated.
13-27:1 Now
the children of Israel after their number, to

thousands and hundreds, and their officers that served the king in any matter
of the courses, which came in and went out month by month throughout all the
months of the year, of every course were twenty
and four thousand.

over all the substance and possession of the king, and of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the
valiant men, unto Jerusalem.

it came to pass, when the captains of the

Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains
of the forces that were with him,

of the forces that were with him, all

Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after that he
had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, even
mighty men of war, and the women, and the children, and the eunuchs, whom
