01-2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of
good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest
thereof thou shalt surely die.
01-3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath
said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
01-3:4 And the serpent said unto the
woman, Ye shall not surely die:
01-6:17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a
flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under
heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
01-19:19 Behold now, thy servant hath found
grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed
unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil
take me, and I die:
01-20:7 Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and
if thou restore her not, know thou
that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.

me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou

01-47:15 And when money failed in the land of
Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said,
Give us bread: for why should we die in thy

01-47:19 Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us
and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and
give us seed, that we may live, and
not die, that the land be not desolate.
01-47:29 And the time drew nigh that Israel
must die: and he called his son Joseph, and said
unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, put, I pray thee, thy hand
under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me; bury me not, I pray thee, in
Egypt:

I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you
again unto the land of your fathers.
01-50:5 My father made me swear, saying, Lo,
I die: in my grave which I have digged for me in

Egyptians, than that we should die in the
wilderness.
02-20:19 And
they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God
speak with us, lest we die.
02-21:12 He
that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be
surely put to death.
02-21:14 But
if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; thou
shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die.
02-21:18 And
if men strive together, and one smite another with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keepeth his bed:
02-21:20 And
if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.

an ox gore a man or a woman, that they die: then

a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die,
there shall no blood be shed for him.

a man deliver unto his neighbour an ass, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to
keep; and it die, or be hurt, or driven away, no
man seeing it:
02-22:14 And
if a man borrow ought of his
neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, the owner
thereof being not with it, he shall
surely make it good.
02-28:35 And
it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth
in unto the holy place before the
LORD, and when he cometh out, that he die not.
02-28:43 And
they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the
tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to
minister in the holy place; that they
bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.
02-30:20 When
they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water,
that they die not; or when they come near to the
altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD:
02-30:21 So
they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die
not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations.
03-8:35 Therefore shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye
die not: for so I am commanded.
03-10:6 And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto
Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your
clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon
all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the
burning which the LORD hath kindled.
03-10:7 And ye shall not go out from the door
of the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die:
for the anointing oil of the LORD is upon
you. And they did according to the word of Moses.
03-10:9 Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou,
nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation,
lest ye die: it
shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:
03-11:39 And if any beast, of which ye may
eat, die; he that toucheth the carcase thereof
shall be unclean until the even.
03-15:31 Thus shall ye separate the children
of Israel from their uncleanness; that they die
not in their uncleanness, when they defile my tabernacle that is among them.
03-16:2 And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak
unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy
seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy
seat.
03-16:13 And he shall put the incense upon the
fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat
that is upon the testimony, that he die not:
03-20:20 And if a man shall lie with his
uncle’s wife, he hath uncovered his uncle’s nakedness: they shall bear their
sin; they shall die childless.
03-22:9 They shall therefore keep mine
ordinance, lest they bear sin for it, and die
therefore, if they profane it: I the LORD do sanctify them.
04-4:15 And when Aaron and his sons have
made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as
the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things
are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.
04-4:19 But thus do unto them, that they may
live, and not die, when they approach unto the
most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to
his service and to his burden:
04-4:20 But they shall not go in to see when
the holy things are covered, lest they die.
04-6:7 He shall not make himself unclean
for his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, when
they die: because the consecration of his God is upon his head.
04-6:9 And if any man die very suddenly by him, and he hath defiled the head
of his consecration; then he shall shave his head in the day of his cleansing,
on the seventh day shall he shave it.
04-14:35 I the LORD have said, I will surely do
it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in
this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.
04-16:29 If these men die
the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all
men; then the LORD hath not sent me.
04-17:10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring
Aaron’s rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the
rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.
04-17:12 And the children of Israel spake unto
Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all
perish.
04-17:13 Whosoever cometh any thing near unto
the tabernacle of the LORD shall die: shall we
be consumed with dying?
04-18:3 And they shall keep thy charge, and
the charge of all the tabernacle: only they shall not come nigh the vessels of
the sanctuary and the altar, that neither they, nor ye also, die.
04-18:22 Neither must the children of Israel
henceforth come nigh the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin,
and die.
04-18:32 And ye shall bear no sin by reason of
it, when ye have heaved from it the best of it: neither shall ye pollute the
holy things of the children of Israel, lest ye die.
04-20:4 And why have ye brought up the
congregation of the LORD into this wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there?
04-20:26 And strip Aaron of his garments, and
put them upon Eleazar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die
there.
04-21:5 And the people spake against God,
and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is
there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.
04-23:10 Who can count the dust of Jacob, and
the number of the fourth part of
Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous,
and let my last end be like his!
04-26:65 For the LORD had said of them, They
shall surely die in the wilderness. And there
was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son
of Nun.
04-27:8 And thou shalt speak unto the
children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and
have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.
04-35:12 And they shall be unto you cities for
refuge from the avenger; that the manslayer die
not, until he stand before the congregation in judgment.

instrument of iron, so that he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely

stone, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a
murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
04-35:18 Or if he smite him with an hand weapon of wood, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely
be put to death.
04-35:20 But if he thrust him of hatred, or
hurl at him by laying of wait, that he die;
04-35:21 Or in enmity smite him with his hand,
that he die: he that smote him shall surely be put to death; for he is a murderer: the
revenger of blood shall slay the murderer, when he meeteth him.
04-35:23 Or with any stone, wherewith a man
may die, seeing him not, and cast it upon
him, that he die, and was not his enemy, neither sought his harm:
04-35:30 Whoso killeth any person, the
murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall
not testify against any person to cause
him to die.
05-4:22 But I must die
in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but ye shall go over, and possess that
good land.
05-5:25 Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear
the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die.
05-13:10 And thou shalt stone him with stones,
that he die; because he hath sought to thrust
thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt,

of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not
hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any
more, that I die not.
05-18:20 But the prophet, which shall presume
to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that
shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
05-19:5 As when a man goeth into the wood
with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the ax to
cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his
neighbour, that he die; he shall flee unto one
of those cities, and live:
05-19:11 But if any man hate his neighbour,
and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that
he die, and fleeth into one of these cities:
05-19:12 Then the elders of his city shall
send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of
blood, that he may die.
05-20:5 And the officers shall speak unto
the people, saying, What man is there that
hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his
house, lest he die in the battle, and another
man dedicate it.
05-20:6 And what man is he that hath planted a vineyard, and hath not yet eaten of it? let him also go and return unto his house, lest
he die in the battle, and another man eat of it.
05-20:7 And what man is there that hath betrothed a wife, and hath not taken her? let
him go and return unto his house, lest he die in
the battle, and another man take her.
05-21:21 And all the men of his city shall
stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt
thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.
05-22:21 Then they shall bring out the damsel
to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with
stones that she die: because she hath wrought
folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father’s house: so shalt thou put
evil away from among you.
05-22:22 If a man be found lying with a woman
married to an husband, then they shall both of them die,
both the man that lay with the woman,
and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.
05-22:24 Then ye shall bring them both out
unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because
he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among
you.
05-22:25 But if a man find a betrothed damsel
in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that
lay with her shall die:
05-24:3 And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of
divorcement, and giveth it in her
hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;
05-24:7 If a man be found stealing any of
his brethren of the children of Israel, and maketh merchandise of him, or
selleth him; then that thief shall die; and thou
shalt put evil away from among you.
05-25:5 If brethren dwell together, and one
of them die, and have no child, the wife of the
dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband’s brother shall go in
unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband’s
brother unto her.
05-31:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold,
thy days approach that thou must die: call
Joshua, and present yourselves in the tabernacle of the congregation, that I
may give him a charge. And Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in
the tabernacle of the congregation.
05-32:50 And die
in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy
brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:
05-33:6 Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not
his men be few.
06-20:9 These were the cities appointed for
all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them,
that whosoever killeth any person at
unawares might flee thither, and not die by the hand

for thy servants unto the LORD thy God, that we die
not: for we have added unto all our sins this
evil, to ask us a king.
09-14:39 For, as the LORD liveth, which saveth Israel, though it be in Jonathan
my son, he shall surely die. But there was not a man among all the people
that answered him.
09-14:43 Then Saul said to Jonathan, Tell me
what thou hast done. And Jonathan told him, and said, I did but taste a little
honey with the end of the rod that was in
mine hand, and, lo, I must die.
09-14:44 And Saul answered, God do so and more
also: for thou shalt surely die, Jonathan.
09-14:45 And the people said unto Saul, Shall
Jonathan die, who hath wrought this great
salvation in Israel? God forbid: as the
LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground; for he
hath wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died
not.
09-20:2 And he said unto him, God forbid;
thou shalt not die: behold, my father will do
nothing either great or small, but that he will shew it me: and why should my
father hide this thing from me? it is not
so.
09-20:14 And thou shalt not only while yet I
live shew me the kindness of the LORD, that I die
not:
09-20:31 For as long as the son of Jesse
liveth upon the ground, thou shalt not be established, nor thy kingdom.
Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for he shall surely die.
09-22:16 And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father’s house.
09-26:10 David said furthermore, As the LORD liveth, the LORD shall smite

have heard is good.
11-14:12 Arise thou therefore, get thee to
thine own house: and when thy feet
enter into the city, the child shall die.
11-17:12 And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of
meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go
in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
11-19:4 But he himself went a day’s journey
into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he
requested for himself that he might die; and
said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.
11-21:10 And set two men, sons of Belial,
before him, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme God and
the king. And then carry him out, and
stone him, that he may die.
12-1:4 Now therefore thus saith the LORD,
Thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt
surely die. And Elijah departed.

a man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the king that sent

it not because there is not a God
in Israel, that thou sendest to
enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron? therefore thou shalt not come down from
that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.
12-1:16 And he said unto him, Thus saith the
LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to enquire of Baalzebub the god of
Ekron, is it not because there is no God in Israel to enquire of
his word? therefore thou shalt not come down off that bed on which thou art
gone up, but shalt surely die.
12-7:3 And there were four leprous men at
the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here
until we die?
12-7:4 If we say, We will enter into the
city, then the famine is in the city,
and we shall die there: and if we sit still
here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let
us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and
if they kill us, we shall but die.
12-8:10 And Elisha said unto him, Go, say
unto him, Thou mayest certainly recover: howbeit the LORD hath shewed me that
he shall surely die.
12-18:32 Until I come and take you away to a
land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards,
a land of oil olive and of honey, that ye may live, and not die: and hearken not unto Hezekiah, when he persuadeth
you, saying, The LORD will deliver us.
12-20:1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto
death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him,
Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
14-25:4 But he slew not their children, but did as it is written in the law in the book of Moses, where the LORD
commanded, saying, The fathers shall not die for
the children, neither shall the children die for
the fathers, but every man shall die for his own
sin.
14-32:11 Doth not Hezekiah persuade you to
give over yourselves to die by famine and by

is no more bread in the city.
24-38:10 Then the king commanded Ebedmelech
the Ethiopian, saying, Take from hence thirty men with thee, and take up
Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon, before he die.
24-38:24 Then said Zedekiah unto Jeremiah, Let
no man know of these words, and thou shalt not die.
24-38:26 Then thou shalt say unto them, I
presented my supplication before the king, that he would not cause me to return
to Jonathan’s house, to die there.
24-42:16 Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall

warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life;
the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at
thine hand.

should not die, and to save the souls alive that
should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?

made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he brake, even with him in the midst of Babylon he

wicked shall be upon him.
26-18:21 But if the wicked will turn from all
his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is
lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
26-18:23 Have I any pleasure at all that the
wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his
ways, and live?
26-18:24 But when the righteous turneth away from
his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and
doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his
righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he
hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
26-18:26 When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity,
and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.
26-18:28 Because he considereth, and turneth
away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live,
he shall not die.
26-18:31 Cast away from you all your transgressions,
whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for
why will ye die, O house of Israel?
26-28:8 They shall bring thee down to the
pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the
seas.
26-28:10 Thou shalt die
the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the
