01-GENESIS
01-11:5 And
the LORD came down to see the city and the
tower, which the children of men builded.
01-11:7 Go
to, let us go down, and there confound their
language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.
01-12:10 And
there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down
into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was
grievous in the land.
01-15:11 And
when the fowls came down upon the carcases,
Abram drove them away.
01-15:12 And
when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell
upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.
01-15:17 And
it came to pass, that, when the sun went down,
and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed
between those pieces.
01-18:21 I
will go down now, and see whether they have done
altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I
will know.
01-19:4 But
before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the
house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
01-19:33 And
they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and
lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down,
nor when she arose.
01-19:35 And
they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay
with him; and he perceived not when she lay down,
nor when she arose.
01-21:16 And
she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a
bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over
against him, and lift up her voice,
and wept.
01-23:12 And
Abraham bowed down himself before the people of
the land.
01-24:11 And
he made his camels to kneel down without the
city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water.
01-24:14 And
let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and
she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I
know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.
01-24:16 And
the damsel was very fair to look
upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.
01-24:18 And
she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down
her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink.
01-24:26 And
the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the
LORD.
01-24:45 And
before I had done speaking in mine heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her
pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down unto
the well, and drew water: and I said
unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee.
01-24:46 And
she made haste, and let down her pitcher from
her shoulder, and said, Drink, and I
will give thy camels drink also: so I drank, and she made the camels drink
also.
01-24:48 And
I bowed down my head, and worshipped the LORD,
and blessed the LORD God of my master Abraham, which had led me in the right
way to take my master’s brother’s daughter unto his son.
01-26:2 And
the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down
into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
01-27:29 Let
people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee:
be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother’s sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.
01-28:11 And
he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun
was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down
in that place to sleep.
01-37:10 And
he told it to his father, and to his
brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed?
Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?
01-37:25 And
they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up
their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead
with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down
to Egypt.
01-37:35 And
all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be
comforted; and he said, For I will go down into
the grave unto my son mourning. Thus his father wept for him.
01-38:1 And
it came to pass at that time, that Judah went down
from his brethren, and turned in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.
01-39:1 And
Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar,
an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the
hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down
thither.
01-42:2 And
he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may
live, and not die.
01-42:3 And
Joseph’s ten brethren went down to buy corn in
Egypt.
01-42:6 And
Joseph was the governor over the
land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph’s
brethren came, and bowed down themselves before
him with their faces to the earth.
01-42:38 And
he said, My son shall not go down with you; for
his brother is dead, and he is left alone: if mischief befall him by the way in
the which ye go, then shall ye bring down my
gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.
01-43:4 If
thou wilt send our brother with us, we will go down
and buy thee food:
01-43:5 But
if thou wilt not send him, we will
not go down: for the man said unto us, Ye shall
not see my face, except your brother be with
you.
01-43:7 And
they said, The man asked us straitly of our state, and of our kindred, saying, Is your father yet alive? have ye another brother? and we told him
according to the tenor of these words: could we certainly know that he would
say, Bring your brother down?
01-43:11 And
their father Israel said unto them, If it
must be so now, do this; take of the best fruits in the land in your
vessels, and carry down the man a present, a
little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds:
01-43:15 And
the men took that present, and they took double money in their hand, and
Benjamin; and rose up, and went down to Egypt,
and stood before Joseph.
01-43:20 And
said, O sir, we came indeed down at the first
time to buy food:
01-43:22 And
other money have we brought down in our hands to
buy food: we cannot tell who put our money in our sacks.
01-43:28 And
they answered, Thy servant our father is in
good health, he is yet alive. And
they bowed down their heads, and made obeisance.
01-44:11 Then
they speedily took down every man his sack to
the ground, and opened every man his sack.
01-44:21 And
thou saidst unto thy servants, Bring him down
unto me, that I may set mine eyes upon him.
01-44:23 And
thou saidst unto thy servants, Except your youngest brother come down with you, ye shall see my face no more.
01-44:26 And
we said, We cannot go down: if our youngest
brother be with us, then will we go down: for we
may not see the man’s face, except our youngest brother be with us.
01-44:29 And
if ye take this also from me, and mischief befall him, ye shall bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.
01-44:31 It
shall come to pass, when he seeth that the lad is not with us, that he
will die: and thy servants shall bring down the
gray hairs of thy servant our father with sorrow to the grave.
01-45:9 Haste
ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God
hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto
me, tarry not:
01-45:13 And
ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen;
and ye shall haste and bring down my father
hither.
01-46:3 And
he said, I am God, the God of thy
father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I
will there make of thee a great nation:
01-46:4 I
will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will
also surely bring thee up again: and
Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.
01-49:6 O
my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be
not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their selfwill they
digged down a wall.
01-49:8 Judah,
thou art he whom thy brethren shall
praise: thy hand shall be in the neck
of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall bow down
before thee.
01-49:9 Judah
is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my
son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he
couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
01-49:14 Issachar
is a strong ass couching down between two burdens:
01-50:18 And
his brethren also went and fell down before his
face; and they said, Behold, we be thy
servants.
02-2:5 And
the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens
walked along by the river’s side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she
sent her maid to fetch it.
02-2:15 Now
when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the
face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.
02-3:8 And
I am come down to deliver them out of the hand
of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a
large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites,
and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and
the Jebusites.
02-7:10 And
Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had
commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before
Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
02-7:12 For
they cast down every man his rod, and they
became serpents: but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.
02-9:19 Send
therefore now, and gather thy cattle,
and all that thou hast in the field; for
upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not
be brought home, the hail shall come down upon
them, and they shall die.
02-11:8 And
all these thy servants shall come down unto me,
and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get
thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out.
And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.
02-17:11 And
it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when
he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
02-17:12 But
Moses’ hands were heavy; and they
took a stone, and put it under him,
and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one
side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the
going down of the sun.
02-19:11 And
be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
02-19:14 And
Moses went down from the mount unto the people,
and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.
02-19:20 And
the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top
of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up
to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.
02-19:21 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people,
lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.
02-19:24 And
the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and
thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people
break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.
02-19:25 So
Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto
them.
02-20:5 Thou
shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve
them: for I the LORD thy God am a
jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the
third and fourth generation of them
that hate me;
02-22:26 If
thou at all take thy neighbour’s raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto
him by that the sun goeth down:
02-23:24 Thou
shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve
them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and
quite break down their images.
02-32:1 And
when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down
out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said
unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of
Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
02-32:6 And
they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought
peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat
and to drink, and rose up to play.
02-32:7 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for
thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:
02-32:15 And
Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and
the two tables of the testimony were in
his hand: the tables were written on
both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.
02-34:13 But
ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:
02-34:29 And
it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount
Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin
of his face shone while he talked with him.
03-9:22 And
Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt
offering, and peace offerings.
03-11:35 And
every thing whereupon any part of their carcase falleth shall
be unclean; whether it be oven, or
ranges for pots, they shall be broken down: for they are unclean, and shall be unclean unto you.
03-14:45 And
he shall break down the house, the stones of it,
and the timber thereof, and all the morter of the house; and he shall carry them forth out of the city into an
unclean place.
03-18:23 Neither
shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any
woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto:
it is confusion.
03-19:16 Thou
shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against
the blood of thy neighbour: I am the
LORD.
03-20:16 And
if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down
thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to
death; their blood shall be upon
them.
03-22:7 And
when the sun is down, he shall be clean, and
shall afterward eat of the holy things; because it is his food.
03-26:1 Ye
shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image,
neither shall ye set up any image of
stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.
03-26:6 And
I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down,
and none shall make you afraid: and I
will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your
land.
03-26:30 And
I will destroy your high places, and cut down
your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul
shall abhor you.
04-1:51 And
when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the
Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to
death.
04-4:5 And
when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall
take down the covering vail, and cover the ark
of testimony with it:
04-10:17 And
the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of
Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle.
04-11:17 And
I will come down and talk with thee there: and I
will take of the spirit which is upon
thee, and will put it upon them; and
they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone.
04-11:25 And
the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto
him, and took of the spirit that was upon
him, and gave it unto the seventy
elders: and it came to pass, that, when
the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.
04-12:5 And
the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud,
and stood in the door of the
tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
04-13:23 And
they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down
from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two
upon a staff; and they brought of the
pomegranates, and of the figs.
04-13:24 The
place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the
children of Israel cut down from thence.
04-14:45 Then
the Amalekites came down, and the Canaanites
which dwelt in that hill, and smote them, and discomfited them, even unto Hormah.
04-16:30 But
if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them
up, with all that appertain unto
them, and they go down quick into the pit; then
ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.
04-16:33 They,
and all that appertained to them,
went down alive into the pit, and the earth
closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.
04-20:15 How
our fathers went down into Egypt, and we have
dwelt in Egypt a long time; and the Egyptians vexed us, and our fathers:
04-20:28 And
Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and
Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount.
04-21:15 And
at the stream of the brooks that goeth down to
the dwelling of Ar, and lieth upon the border of Moab.
04-22:27 And
when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down
under Balaam: and Balaam’s anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a
staff.
04-22:31 Then
the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing
in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.
04-23:24 Behold,
the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion:
he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the
slain.
04-24:9 He
couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great
lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he
that blesseth thee, and cursed is he
that curseth thee.
04-25:2 And
they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did
eat, and bowed down to their gods.
04-33:52 Then
ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy
all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:
04-34:11 And
the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah,
on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach unto the
side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward:
04-34:12 And
the border shall go down to Jordan, and the
goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the
coasts thereof round about.
05-1:25 And
they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down
unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which the LORD our God doth give us.
05-5:9 Thou
shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve
them: for I the LORD thy God am a
jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the
third and fourth generation of them
that hate me,
05-6:7 And
thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when
thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou
liest down, and when thou risest up.
05-7:5 But
thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down
their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.
05-9:3 Understand
therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is
he which goeth over before thee; as a
consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out,
and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.
05-9:12 And
the LORD said unto me, Arise, get thee down
quickly from hence; for thy people which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt
have corrupted themselves; they are
quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them
a molten image.
05-9:15 So
I turned and came down from the mount, and the
mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.
05-9:18 And
I fell down before the LORD, as at the first,
forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because
of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD,
to provoke him to anger.
05-9:25 Thus
I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty
nights, as I fell down at the first; because the LORD had said he would destroy you.
05-10:5 And
I turned myself and came down from the mount,
and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORD
commanded me.
05-10:22 Thy
fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and
ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for
multitude.
05-11:19 And
ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine
house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
05-11:30 Are they not on the other side Jordan,
by the way where the sun goeth down, in the land
of the Canaanites, which dwell in the champaign over against Gilgal, beside the
plains of Moreh?
05-12:3 And
ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves
with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven
images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.
05-16:6 But
at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there
thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.
05-19:5 As
when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand
fetcheth a stroke with the ax to cut down the
tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour,
that he die; he shall flee unto one of those cities, and live:
05-20:19 When
thou shalt besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it,
thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an ax against them: for
thou mayest eat of them, and thou shalt not cut them down
(for the tree of the field is man’s life) to employ them in the siege:
05-20:20 Only
the trees which thou knowest that they be
not trees for meat, thou shalt destroy and cut them down; and thou shalt build bulwarks against the city that maketh
war with thee, until it be subdued.
05-21:4 And
the elders of that city shall bring down the
heifer unto a rough valley, which is neither eared nor sown, and shall strike
off the heifer’s neck there in the valley:
05-22:4 Thou
shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fall down
by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.
05-23:11 But
it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down,
he shall come into the camp again.
05-24:13 In
any case thou shalt deliver him the pledge again when the sun goeth down, that he may sleep in his own raiment, and bless
thee: and it shall be righteousness unto thee before the LORD thy God.
05-24:15 At
his day thou shalt give him his hire,
neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it:
lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee.
05-24:19 When
thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field,
and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it
shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD
thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands.
05-25:2 And
it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy
to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down,
and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.
05-26:4 And
the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God.
05-26:5 And
thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and
became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:
05-26:15 Look
down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and
bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest
unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
05-28:24 The
LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come
down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
05-28:43 The
stranger that is within thee shall
get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down
very low.
05-28:52 And
he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land:
and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the
LORD thy God hath given thee.
05-33:3 Yea,
he loved the people; all his saints are in
thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.
05-33:28 Israel
then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.
06-1:4 From
the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates,
all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
06-2:8 And
before they were laid down, she came up unto
them upon the roof;
06-2:15 Then
she let them down by a cord through the window:
for her house was upon the town wall,
and she dwelt upon the wall.
06-2:18 Behold,
when we come into the land, thou
shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy
mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father’s household, home unto thee.
06-3:13 And
it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that
bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters
of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan
shall be cut off from the waters that
come down from above; and they shall stand upon
an heap.
06-3:16 That
the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from
the city Adam, that is beside
Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea
of the plain, even the salt sea,
failed, and were cut off: and the
people passed over right against Jericho.
06-4:8 And
the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones
out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto Joshua, according to the
number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them
unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down
there.
06-6:5 And
it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and
when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a
great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down
flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.
06-6:20 So
the people shouted when the priests blew
with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the
trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city,
every man straight before him, and they took the city.
06-7:5 And
the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in
the going down: wherefore the hearts of the
people melted, and became as water.
06-8:29 And
the king of Ai he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his
carcase down from the tree, and cast it at the
entering of the gate of the city, and raise thereon a great heap of stones, that remaineth unto this day.
06-10:11 And
it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to
Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great stones
from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.
06-10:13 And
the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged
themselves upon their enemies. Is not
this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of
heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole
day.
06-10:27 And
it came to pass at the time of the going down of
the sun, that Joshua commanded, and
they took them down off the trees, and cast them
into the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave’s
mouth, which remain until this very
day.
06-15:10 And
the border compassed from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along
unto the side of mount Jearim, which is Chesalon,
on the north side, and went down to Bethshemesh,
and passed on to Timnah:
06-16:3 And
goeth down westward to the coast of Japhleti,
unto the coast of Bethhoron the nether, and to Gezer: and the goings out
thereof are at the sea.
06-16:7 And
it went down from Janohah to Ataroth, and to Naarath,
and came to Jericho, and went out at Jordan.
06-17:15 And
Joshua answered them, If thou be a
great people, then get thee up to the
wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites
and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee.
06-17:18 But
the mountain shall be thine; for it is a
wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the
outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though
they have iron chariots, and though
they be strong.
06-18:16 And
the border came down to the end of the mountain
that lieth before the valley of the
son of Hinnom, and which is in the valley of the giants on the
north, and descended to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of Jebusi on the
south, and descended to Enrogel,
06-18:18 And
passed along toward the side over against Arabah northward, and went down unto Arabah:
06-24:4 And
I gave unto Isaac Jacob and Esau: and I gave unto Esau mount Seir, to possess
it; but Jacob and his children went down into
Egypt.
07-1:9 And
afterward the children of Judah went down to
fight against the Canaanites, that dwelt in the mountain, and in the south, and
in the valley.
07-1:34 And
the Amorites forced the children of Dan into the mountain: for they would not
suffer them to come down to the valley:
07-2:2 And
ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice:
why have ye done this?
07-2:19 And
it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that
they returned, and corrupted themselves
more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings,
nor from their stubborn way.
07-3:25 And
they tarried till they were ashamed: and, behold, he opened not the doors of
the parlour; therefore they took a key, and opened them: and, behold, their lord was
fallen down dead on the earth.
07-3:27 And
it came to pass, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the mountain of
Ephraim, and the children of Israel went down
with him from the mount, and he before them.
07-3:28 And
he said unto them, Follow after me: for the LORD hath delivered your enemies
the Moabites into your hand. And they went down
after him, and took the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to
pass over.
07-4:14 And
Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the
day in which the LORD hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not the LORD
gone out before thee? So Barak went down from
mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.
07-4:15 And
the LORD discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots,
and all his host, with the edge of
the sword before Barak; so that Sisera lighted down
off his chariot, and fled away on his
feet.
07-5:11 They that are delivered from the noise
of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall they rehearse the
righteous acts of the LORD, even the
righteous acts toward the inhabitants of
his villages in Israel: then shall the people of the LORD go down to the gates.
07-5:14 Out
of Ephraim was there a root of them
against Amalek; after thee, Benjamin, among thy people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun they that handle
the pen of the writer.
07-5:21 The
river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. O my
soul, thou hast trodden down strength.
07-5:27 At
her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down: at her
feet he bowed, he fell: where he bowed, there he fell down
dead.
07-6:25 And
it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father’s
young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it:
07-6:26 And
build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered
place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood
of the grove which thou shalt cut down.
07-6:28 And
when the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal
was cast down, and the grove was cut down that was by
it, and the second bullock was offered upon the altar that was built.
07-6:30 Then
the men of the city said unto Joash, Bring out thy son, that he may die:
because he hath cast down the altar of Baal, and
because he hath cut down the grove that was by it.
07-6:31 And
Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal? will ye
save him? he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning: if he be a god, let him plead for himself,
because one hath cast down his altar.
07-6:32 Therefore
on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal plead against him,
because he hath thrown down his altar.
07-7:4 And
the LORD said unto Gideon, The people are
yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee
there: and it shall be, that of whom
I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of
whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go.
07-7:5 So
he brought down the people unto the water: and
the LORD said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue,
as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth
down upon his knees to drink.
07-7:6 And
the number of them that lapped, putting their
hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people
bowed down upon their knees to drink water.
07-7:9 And
it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Arise, get thee down unto the host; for I have delivered it into thine
hand.
07-7:10 But
if thou fear to go down, go thou with Phurah thy
servant down to the host:
07-7:11 And
thou shalt hear what they say; and afterward shall thine hands be strengthened
to go down unto the host. Then went he down with Phurah his servant unto the outside of the
armed men that were in the host.
07-7:24 And
Gideon sent messengers throughout all mount Ephraim, saying, Come down against the Midianites, and take before them the
waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan. Then all the men of Ephraim gathered
themselves together, and took the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan.
07-8:9 And
he spake also unto the men of Penuel, saying, When I come again in peace, I
will break down this tower.
07-8:17 And
he beat down the tower of Penuel, and slew the
men of the city.
07-9:36 And
when Gaal saw the people, he said to Zebul, Behold, there come people down from the top of the mountains. And Zebul said
unto him, Thou seest the shadow of the mountains as if they were men.
07-9:37 And
Gaal spake again and said, See there come people down
by the middle of the land, and another company come along by the plain of
Meonenim.
07-9:45 And
Abimelech fought against the city all that day; and he took the city, and slew
the people that was therein, and beat
down the city, and sowed it with salt.
07-9:48 And
Abimelech gat him up to mount Zalmon, he and all the people that were with him; and Abimelech took an ax
in his hand, and cut down a bough from the
trees, and took it, and laid it on
his shoulder, and said unto the people that were
with him, What ye have seen me do, make haste, and do as I have done.
07-9:49 And
all the people likewise cut down every man his
bough, and followed Abimelech, and put them
to the hold, and set the hold on fire upon them; so that all the men of the
tower of Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women.
07-11:37 And
she said unto her father, Let this thing be done for me: let me alone two
months, that I may go up and down upon the
mountains, and bewail my virginity, I and my fellows.
07-14:1 And
Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in
Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.
07-14:5 Then
went Samson down, and his father and his mother,
to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion
roared against him.
07-14:7 And
he went down, and talked with the woman; and she
pleased Samson well.
07-14:10 So
his father went down unto the woman: and Samson
made there a feast; for so used the young men to do.
07-14:18 And
the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter
than honey? and what is stronger than
a lion? And he said unto them, If ye had not plowed with my heifer, ye had not
found out my riddle.
07-14:19 And
the spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went down
to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change
of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled,
and he went up to his father’s house.
07-15:8 And
he smote them hip and thigh with a great slaughter: and he went down and dwelt in the top of the rock Etam.
07-15:12 And
they said unto him, We are come down to bind
thee, that we may deliver thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson
said unto them, Swear unto me, that ye will not fall upon me yourselves.
07-16:21 But
the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and
he did grind in the prison house.
07-16:31 Then
his brethren and all the house of his father came down,
and took him, and brought him up, and
buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the buryingplace of Manoah his father.
And he judged Israel twenty years.
07-19:6 And
they sat down, and did eat and drink both of
them together: for the damsel’s father had said unto the man, Be content, I
pray thee, and tarry all night, and let thine heart be merry.
07-19:14 And
they passed on and went their way; and the sun went down
upon them when they were by Gibeah,
which belongeth to Benjamin.
07-19:15 And
they turned aside thither, to go in and to
lodge in Gibeah: and when he went in, he sat him down
in a street of the city: for there was no
man that took them into his house to lodging.
07-19:26 Then
came the woman in the dawning of the day, and fell down
at the door of the man’s house where her lord was, till it was light.
07-19:27 And
her lord rose up in the morning, and opened the doors of the house, and went
out to go his way: and, behold, the woman his concubine was fallen down at the
door of the house, and her hands were upon
the threshold.
07-20:21 And
the children of Benjamin came forth out of Gibeah, and destroyed down to the ground of the Israelites that day twenty
and two thousand men.
07-20:25 And
Benjamin went forth against them out of Gibeah the second day, and destroyed down to the ground of the children of Israel again eighteen
thousand men; all these drew the sword.
07-20:32 And
the children of Benjamin said, They are smitten
down before us, as at the first. But the
children of Israel said, Let us flee, and draw them from the city unto the
highways.
07-20:39 And
when the men of Israel retired in the battle, Benjamin began to smite and kill of the men of Israel about
thirty persons: for they said, Surely they are smitten down
before us, as in the first battle.
07-20:43 Thus they inclosed the Benjamites round
about, and chased them, and trode them down
with ease over against Gibeah toward the sunrising.
08-3:3 Wash
thy self therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get
thee down to the floor: but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done
eating and drinking.
08-3:4 And
it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt
mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet,
and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what
thou shalt do.
08-3:6 And
she went down unto the floor, and did according
to all that her mother in law bade her.
08-3:7 And
when Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of corn: and she came
softly, and uncovered his feet, and laid her down.
08-3:13 Tarry
this night, and it shall be in the morning, that
if he will perform unto thee the part of a kinsman, well; let him do the
kinsman’s part: but if he will not do the part of a kinsman to thee, then will
I do the part of a kinsman to thee, as the
LORD liveth: lie down until the morning.
08-4:1 Then
went Boaz up to the gate, and sat him down
there: and, behold, the kinsman of whom Boaz spake came by; unto whom he said,
Ho, such a one! turn aside, sit down here. And
he turned aside, and sat down.
08-4:2 And
he took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, Sit ye down here. And they sat down.
09-2:6 The
LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down
to the grave, and bringeth up.
09-3:2 And
it came to pass at that time, when Eli was
laid down in his place, and his eyes began
to wax dim, that he could not see;
09-3:3 And
ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep;
09-3:5 And
he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I;
for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down
again. And he went and lay down.
09-3:6 And
the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said,
Here am I; for thou didst call me. And
he answered, I called not, my son; lie down
again.
09-3:9 Therefore
Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall
be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth.
So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
09-6:15 And
the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and
the coffer that was with it, wherein
the jewels of gold were, and put them on the great stone: and the men of
Bethshemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto
the LORD.
09-6:18 And
the golden mice, according to the
number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging
to the five lords, both of fenced
cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of Abel, whereon they set down
the ark of the LORD: which stone remaineth
unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Bethshemite.
09-6:21 And
they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kirjathjearim, saying, The
Philistines have brought again the ark of the LORD; come ye down, and fetch
it up to you.
09-9:25 And
when they were come down from the high place
into the city, Samuel communed with
Saul upon the top of the house.
09-9:27 And as they were going down to the end of the city, Samuel said to Saul, Bid
the servant pass on before us, (and he passed on,) but stand thou still a
while, that I may shew thee the word of God.
09-10:5 After
that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when
thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets
coming down from the high place with a psaltery,
and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy:
09-10:8 And
thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and,
behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer
burnt offerings, and to sacrifice
sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to
thee, and shew thee what thou shalt do.
09-13:12 Therefore
said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me
to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself
therefore, and offered a burnt offering.
09-13:20 But
all the Israelites went down to the Philistines,
to sharpen every man his share, and his coulter, and his ax, and his mattock.
09-14:16 And
the watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin looked; and, behold, the multitude
melted away, and they went on beating down one another.
09-14:36 And
Saul said, Let us go down after the Philistines
by night, and spoil them until the morning light, and let us not leave a man of
them. And they said, Do whatsoever seemeth good unto thee. Then said the
priest, Let us draw near hither unto God.
09-14:37 And
Saul asked counsel of God, Shall I go down after
the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into the hand of Israel? But he
answered him not that day.
09-15:6 And
Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down
from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness
to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites
departed from among the Amalekites.
09-15:12 And
when Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning, it was told Samuel, saying,
Saul came to Carmel, and, behold, he set him up a place, and is gone about, and
passed on, and gone down to Gilgal.
09-16:11 And
Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children?
And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the
sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.
09-17:8 And
he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye
come out to set your battle in array?
am not I a Philistine, and ye
servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.
09-17:28 And
Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab’s anger
was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the
wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art
come down that thou mightest see the battle.
09-17:52 And
the men of Israel and of Judah arose, and shouted, and pursued the Philistines,
until thou come to the valley, and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of
the Philistines fell down by the way to
Shaaraim, even unto Gath, and unto Ekron.
09-19:12 So
Michal let David down through a window: and he
went, and fled, and escaped.
09-19:24 And
he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner,
and lay down naked all that day and all that
night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul
also among the prophets?
09-20:19 And
when thou hast stayed three days, then thou shalt go down quickly, and come to the place where thou didst
hide thyself when the business was in
hand, and shalt remain by the stone Ezel.
09-20:24 So
David hid himself in the field: and when the new moon was come, the king sat
him down to eat meat.
09-21:13 And
he changed his behaviour before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands,
and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard.
09-22:1 David
therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren
and all his father’s house heard it, they
went down thither to him.
09-23:4 Then
David enquired of the LORD yet again. And the LORD answered him and said,
Arise, go down to Keilah: for I will deliver the
Philistines into thine hand.
09-23:6 And
it came to pass, when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David to Keilah, that he came down
with an ephod in his hand.
09-23:8 And
Saul called all the people together to war, to go down
to Keilah, to besiege David and his men.
09-23:11 Will
the men of Keilah deliver me up into his hand? will Saul come down, as thy servant hath heard? O LORD God of Israel,
I beseech thee, tell thy servant. And the LORD said, He will come down.
09-23:20 Now
therefore, O king, come down according to all the
desire of thy soul to come down; and our part shall be to deliver him into the king’s
hand.
09-23:25 Saul
also and his men went to seek him. And
they told David: wherefore he came down into a
rock, and abode in the wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he pursued after David in the
wilderness of Maon.
09-25:1 And
Samuel died; and all the Israelites were gathered together, and lamented him,
and buried him in his house at Ramah. And David arose, and went down to the wilderness of Paran.
09-25:20 And
it was so, as she rode on the ass,
that she came down by the covert on the hill,
and, behold, David and his men came down against
her; and she met them.
09-26:2 Then
Saul arose, and went down to the wilderness of
Ziph, having three thousand chosen men of Israel with him, to seek David in the
wilderness of Ziph.
09-26:6 Then
answered David and said to Ahimelech the Hittite, and to Abishai the son of
Zeruiah, brother to Joab, saying, Who will go down
with me to Saul to the camp? And Abishai said, I will go down with thee.
09-29:4 And
the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the
Philistines said unto him, Make this fellow return, that he may go again to his
place which thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he be an adversary to
us: for wherewith should he reconcile himself unto his master? should it not be with the heads of these men?
09-30:15 And
David said to him, Canst thou bring me down to
this company? And he said, Swear unto me by God, that thou wilt neither kill
me, nor deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will bring thee down to this company.
09-30:16 And
when he had brought him down, behold, they were spread abroad upon all the
earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that
they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of
Judah.
09-30:24 For
who will hearken unto you in this matter? but as his part is that goeth down to the battle, so
shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall part alike.
09-31:1 Now
the Philistines fought against Israel: and the men of Israel fled from before
the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount
Gilboa.
10-2:13 And
Joab the son of Zeruiah, and the servants of David, went out, and met together
by the pool of Gibeon: and they sat down, the
one on the one side of the pool, and the other on the other side of the pool.
10-2:16 And
they caught every one his fellow by the head, and thrust his sword in his fellow’s side; so they fell down together: wherefore that place was called
Helkathhazzurim, which is in Gibeon.
10-2:23 Howbeit
he refused to turn aside: wherefore Abner with the hinder end of the spear
smote him under the fifth rib, that
the spear came out behind him; and he fell down
there, and died in the same place: and it came to pass, that as many as came to the place where Asahel fell down and died stood still.
10-2:24 Joab
also and Abishai pursued after Abner: and the sun went down
when they were come to the hill of Ammah, that lieth before Giah by the way of the wilderness of Gibeon.
10-3:35 And
when all the people came to cause David to eat meat while it was yet day, David
sware, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I taste bread, or ought else,
till the sun be down.
10-5:17 But
when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all
the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.
10-8:2 And
he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to
put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought gifts.
10-11:8 And
David said to Uriah, Go down to thy house, and
wash thy feet. And Uriah departed out of the king’s house, and there followed
him a mess of meat from the king.
10-11:9 But
Uriah slept at the door of the king’s house with all the servants of his lord,
and went not down to his house.
10-11:10 And
when they had told David, saying, Uriah went not down
unto his house, David said unto Uriah, Camest thou not from thy journey? why then didst thou not go down unto
thine house?
10-11:13 And
when David had called him, he did eat and drink before him; and he made him
drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord,
but went not down to his house.
10-13:5 And
Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed,
and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I
pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my

her hand.

drink before him, and say, God save king Adonijah.

therefore according to thy wisdom, and let not his hoar head go down to the grave in peace.
11-2:8 And,
behold, thou hast with thee Shimei
the son of Gera, a Benjamite of Bahurim, which cursed me with a grievous curse
in the day when I went to Mahanaim: but he came down
to meet me at Jordan, and I sware to him by the LORD, saying, I will not put

head bring thou down to the grave with blood.

fathers.

to take it away.
11-19:14 And
he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: because the

again unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that

not come down from that bed on which thou art
gone up, but shalt surely die.

surely die.

province are in great affliction and
reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken
down, and the gates thereof are burned with
fire.
16-1:4 And
it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down
and wept, and mourned certain days,
and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,
16-2:13 And
I went out by night by the gate of the valley, even before the dragon well, and
to the dung port, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with fire.
16-3:15 But
the gate of the fountain repaired Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of
part of Mizpah; he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the
locks thereof, and the bars thereof, and the wall of the pool of Siloah by the
king’s garden, and unto the stairs that go down
from the city of David.
16-4:3 Now
Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and
he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall.
16-6:3 And
I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am
doing a great work, so that I cannot come down:
why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down
to you?
16-6:16 And
it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these
things, they were much cast down in their
own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God.
16-9:13 Thou
camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest
with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good
statutes and commandments:
17-3:15 The
posts went out, being hastened by the king’s commandment, and the decree was
given in Shushan the palace. And the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city Shushan was perplexed.
17-8:3 And
Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down
at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the
Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews.
18-1:7 And
the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and
said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
18-1:20 Then
Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
18-2:2 And
the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD,
and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
18-2:8 And
he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.
18-2:13 So
they sat down with him upon the ground seven
days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.
18-6:21 For
now ye are nothing; ye see my casting
down, and are afraid.
18-7:4 When
I lie down, I say, When shall I arise, and the
night be gone? and I am full of tossings to and fro unto the dawning of the
day.
18-7:9 As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth
away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall
come up no more.
18-7:19 How
long wilt thou not depart from me, nor let me alone till I swallow down my spittle?
18-8:12 Whilst
it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down,
it withereth before any other herb.
18-11:19 Also
thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit
unto thee.
18-12:14 Behold,
he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again:
he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
18-14:2 He
cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he
fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.
18-14:7 For
there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that
it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
18-14:12 So
man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens
be no more, they shall not awake, nor
be raised out of their sleep.
18-17:3 Lay
down now, put me in a surety with thee; who is he that will strike hands with me?
18-17:16 They
shall go down to the bars of the pit, when our rest together is in the dust.
18-18:7 The
steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
18-20:11 His
bones are full of the sin of his
youth, which shall lie down with him in the
dust.
18-20:15 He
hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit
them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.
18-20:18 That
which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down:
according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein.
18-21:13 They
spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down
to the grave.
18-21:26 They
shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms
shall cover them.
18-22:16 Which
were cut down out of time, whose foundation was
overflown with a flood:
18-22:20 Whereas
our substance is not cut down, but the remnant
of them the fire consumeth.
18-22:29 When
men are cast down,
then thou shalt say, There is lifting
up; and he shall save the humble person.
18-27:19 The
rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be
gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.
18-29:24 If I laughed on them, they believed it not; and the light of my countenance
they cast not down.
18-31:10 Then let my wife grind unto another, and
let others bow down upon her.
18-32:13 Lest
ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.
18-33:24 Then
he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.
18-36:27 For
he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down
rain according to the vapour thereof:
18-40:12 Look
on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.
18-41:1 Canst
thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?
18-41:9 Behold,
the hope of him is in vain: shall not one
be cast down even at the sight of him?
19-3:5 I
laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD
sustained me.
19-4:8 I
will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for
thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
19-7:5 Let
the enemy persecute my soul, and take it;
yea, let him tread down my life upon the
earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.
19-7:16 His
mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
19-9:15 The
heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they
hid is their own foot taken.
19-14:2 The
LORD looked down from heaven upon the children
of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
19-17:11 They
have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;
19-17:13 Arise,
O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver
my soul from the wicked, which is thy
sword:
19-18:9 He
bowed the heavens also, and came down: and
darkness was under his feet.
19-18:27 For
thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down
high looks.
19-20:8 They
are brought down and fallen: but we are risen,
and stand upright.
19-22:29 All
they that be fat upon earth shall eat
and worship: all they that go down to the dust
shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.
19-23:2 He
maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he
leadeth me beside the still waters.
19-28:1 Unto
thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like
them that go down into the pit.
19-30:3 O
LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive,
that I should not go down to the pit.
19-30:9 What
profit is there in my blood, when I
go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee?
shall it declare thy truth?
19-31:2 Bow
down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be
thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.
19-35:14 I
behaved myself as though he had been my
friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.
19-36:12 There
are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down,
and shall not be able to rise.
19-37:2 For
they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and
wither as the green herb.
19-37:14 The
wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.
19-37:24 Though
he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for
the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
19-38:6 I
am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go
mourning all the day long.
19-42:5 Why
art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou
in God: for I shall yet praise him for the
help of his countenance.
19-42:6 O
my God, my soul is cast down within me:
therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites,
from the hill Mizar.
19-42:11 Why
art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou
disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and
my God.
19-43:5 Why
art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou
disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and
my God.
19-44:5 Through
thee will we push down our enemies: through thy
name will we tread them under that rise up against us.
19-44:25 For
our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly
cleaveth unto the earth.
19-50:1 The
mighty God, even the LORD, hath
spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
19-53:2 God
looked down from heaven upon the children of
men, to see if there were any that did
understand, that did seek God.
19-55:15 Let
death seize upon them, and let them
go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.
19-55:23 But
thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit
of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days;
but I will trust in thee.
19-56:7 Shall
they escape by iniquity? in thine anger
cast down the people, O God.
19-57:6 They
have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down:
they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.
19-59:11 Slay
them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.
19-59:15 Let
them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if
they be not satisfied.
19-60:12 Through
God we shall do valiantly: for he it is
that shall tread down our enemies.
19-62:4 They
only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they
bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.
19-72:6 He
shall come down like rain upon the mown grass:
as showers that water the earth.
19-72:11 Yea,
all kings shall fall down before him: all
nations shall serve him.
19-73:18 Surely
thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
19-74:6 But
now they break down the carved work thereof at
once with axes and hammers.
19-74:7 They
have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place
of thy name to the ground.
19-75:7 But
God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
19-78:16 He
brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.
19-78:24 And
had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had
given them of the corn of heaven.
19-78:31 The
wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men
of Israel.
19-80:12 Why
hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way
do pluck her?
19-80:14 Return,
we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from
heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
19-80:16 It is burned with fire, it is cut down:
they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
19-85:11 Truth
shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
19-86:1 Bow
down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy.
19-88:4 I
am counted with them that go down into the pit:
I am as a man that hath no strength:
19-89:23 And
I will beat down his foes before his face, and
plague them that hate him.
19-89:40 Thou
hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast
brought his strong holds to ruin.
19-89:44 Thou
hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down
to the ground.
19-90:6 In
the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
19-95:6 O
come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel
before the LORD our maker.
19-102:10 Because
of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.
19-102:19 For
he hath looked down from the height of his
sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;
19-104:8 They
go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys
unto the place which thou hast founded for them.
19-104:19 He
appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.
19-104:22 The
sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.
19-107:12 Therefore
he brought down their heart with labour; they
fell down, and there was none to help.
19-107:23 They
that go down to the sea in ships, that do
business in great waters;
19-107:26 They
mount up to the heaven, they go down again to
the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
19-108:13 Through
God we shall do valiantly: for he it is
that shall tread down our enemies.
19-109:23 I
am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.
19-113:3 From
the rising of the sun unto the going down of the
same the Lord’s name is to be
praised.
19-115:17 The
dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down
into silence.
19-119:118 Thou
hast trodden down all them that err from thy
statutes: for their deceit is falsehood.
19-119:136 Rivers
of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep
not thy law.
19-133:2 It is like the precious ointment upon
the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
19-137:1 By
the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea,
we wept, when we remembered Zion.
19-139:3 Thou
compassest my path and my lying down, and art
acquainted with all my ways.
19-143:3 For
the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in
darkness, as those that have been long dead.
19-143:7 Hear
me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be
like unto them that go down into the pit.
19-144:5 Bow
thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: touch the
mountains, and they shall smoke.
19-145:14 The
LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.
19-146:8 The
LORD openeth the eyes of the blind:
the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the
LORD loveth the righteous:
19-146:9 The
LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the
way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
19-147:6 The
LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down
to the ground.
20-1:12 Let
us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
20-3:20 By
his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
20-3:24 When
thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea,
thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be
sweet.
20-5:5 Her
feet go down to death; her steps take hold on
hell.
20-7:26 For
she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many
strong men have been slain by her.
20-7:27 Her
house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.
20-14:1 Every
wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
20-18:8 The
words of a talebearer are as wounds,
and they go down into the innermost parts of the
belly.
20-21:22 A
wise man scaleth the city of the mighty,
and casteth down the strength of the confidence
thereof.
20-22:17 Bow
down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise,
and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.
20-23:34 Yea,
thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst
of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast.
20-24:31 And,
lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and
nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken
down.
20-25:26 A
righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt
spring.
20-25:28 He
that hath no rule over his own spirit
is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
20-26:22 The
words of a talebearer are as wounds,
and they go down into the innermost parts of the
belly.
21-1:5 The
sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and
hasteth to his place where he arose.
21-3:3 A
time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down,
and a time to build up;
22-2:3 As
the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down
under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.
22-6:2 My
beloved is gone down into his garden, to the
beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
22-6:11 I
went down into the garden of nuts to see the
fruits of the valley, and to see
whether the vine flourished, and the
pomegranates budded.
22-7:9 And
the roof of thy mouth like the best wine for my beloved, that goeth down sweetly,
causing the lips of those that are asleep to speak.
23-2:9 And
the mean man boweth down, and the great man
humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.
23-2:11 The
lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
23-2:17 And
the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and
the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted
in that day.
23-5:5 And
now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the
hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and
break down the wall thereof, and it shall be
trodden down:
23-5:15 And
the mean man shall be brought down, and the
mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
23-9:10 The
bricks are fallen down, but we will build with
hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we
will change them into cedars.
23-10:4 Without
me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and
they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but
his hand is stretched out still.
23-10:6 I
will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my
wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to
tread them down like the mire of the streets.
23-10:13 For
he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the
bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:
23-10:33 Behold,
the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones
of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.
23-10:34 And
he shall cut down the thickets of the forest
with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
23-11:6 The
wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and
the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
23-11:7 And
the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the
ox.
23-14:8 Yea,
the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the
cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou
art laid down, no feller is come up against us.
23-14:11 Thy
pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is
spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.
23-14:12 How
art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
23-14:15 Yet
thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides
of the pit.
23-14:19 But
thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a
sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as
a carcase trodden under feet.
23-14:30 And
the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine,
and he shall slay thy remnant.
23-16:8 For
the fields of Heshbon languish, and the
vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down
the principal plants thereof, they are come even
unto Jazer, they wandered through the
wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.
23-17:2 The
cities of Aroer are forsaken: they
shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and
none shall make them afraid.
23-18:2 That
sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a
nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto;
a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land
the rivers have spoiled!
23-18:5 For
afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in
the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down
the branches.
23-21:3 Therefore
are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a
woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at the
hearing of it; I was dismayed at the
seeing of it.
23-22:5 For
it is a day of trouble, and of
treading down, and of perplexity by the Lord GOD
of hosts in the valley of vision, breaking down
the walls, and of crying to the mountains.
23-22:10 And
ye have numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses have ye broken down to fortify the wall.
23-22:19 And
I will drive thee from thy station, and from thy state shall he pull thee down.
23-22:25 In
that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall the nail that is fastened in the sure
place be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and
the burden that was upon it shall be
cut off: for the LORD hath spoken it.
23-24:1 Behold,
the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
23-24:10 The
city of confusion is broken down: every house is
shut up, that no man may come in.
23-24:19 The
earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean
dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.
23-25:5 Thou
shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the
heat in a dry place; even the heat
with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought
low.
23-25:10 For
in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.
23-25:11 And
he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth
spreadeth forth his hands to swim:
and he shall bring down their pride together
with the spoils of their hands.
23-25:12 And
the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and
bring to the ground, even to the
dust.
23-26:5 For
he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the
lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.
23-26:6 The
foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and
the steps of the needy.
23-27:10 Yet
the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left
like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.
23-28:2 Behold,
the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which
as a tempest of hail and a
destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
23-28:18 And
your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell
shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall
be trodden down by it.
23-29:4 And
thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out
of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out
of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.
23-29:16 Surely
your turning of things upside down shall be
esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He
made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no
understanding?
23-30:2 That
walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked
at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust
in the shadow of Egypt!
23-30:30 And
the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the
lighting down of his arm, with the indignation
of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and
hailstones.
23-30:31 For
through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote
with a rod.
23-31:1 Woe
to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay
on horses, and trust in chariots, because they
are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not
unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!
23-31:3 Now
the Egyptians are men, and not God;
and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his
hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.
23-31:4 For
thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring
on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice,
nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill
thereof.
23-32:19 When
it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and
the city shall be low in a low place.
23-33:9 The
earth mourneth and languisheth:
Lebanon is ashamed and hewn down: Sharon is like a wilderness; and Bashan and
Carmel shake off their fruits.
23-33:20 Look
upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet
habitation, a tabernacle that shall
not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof
shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
23-34:4 And
all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled
together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down,
as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.
23-34:5 For
my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to
judgment.
23-34:7 And
the unicorns shall come down with them, and the
bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their
dust made fat with fatness.
23-37:24 By
thy servants hast thou reproached the Lord, and hast said, By the multitude of
my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of
Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars
thereof, and the choice fir trees
thereof: and I will enter into the height of his border, and the forest of his Carmel.
23-38:8 Behold,
I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So
the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
23-38:18 For
the grave cannot praise thee, death can not
celebrate thee: they that go down into the
pit cannot hope for thy truth.
23-42:10 Sing
unto the LORD a new song, and his
praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down
to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.
23-43:14 Thus
saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have
sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their
nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in
the ships.
23-43:17 Which
bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct,
they are quenched as tow.
23-44:14 He
heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress
and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest:
he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.
23-44:15 Then
shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea,
he kindleth it, and baketh bread;
yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it;
he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down
thereto.
23-44:17 And
the residue thereof he maketh a god, even
his graven image: he falleth down unto it,
and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto
it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my
god.
23-44:19 And
none considereth in his heart, neither is
there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the
fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted
flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make
the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down
to the stock of a tree?
23-45:8 Drop
down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies
pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and
let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the
LORD have created it.
23-45:14 Thus
saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the
Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine:
they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall
down unto thee, they shall make supplication
unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no
God.
23-46:1 Bel
boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were
upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages were heavy loaden; they are a
burden to the weary beast.
23-46:2 They
stoop, they bow down together; they could not
deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.
23-46:6 They
lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a
god: they fall down, yea, they worship.
23-47:1 Come
down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of
Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no
throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender
and delicate.
23-49:23 And
kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they
shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and
thou shalt know that I am the LORD:
for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
23-50:11 Behold,
all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves
about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have
of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.
23-51:23 But
I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy
soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou
hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.
23-52:2 Shake
thyself from the dust; arise, and sit
down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands
of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
23-52:4 For
thus saith the Lord GOD, My people went down
aforetime into Egypt to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without
cause.
23-55:10 For
as the rain cometh down, and the snow from
heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring
forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
23-56:10 His
watchmen are blind: they are all
ignorant, they are all dumb dogs,
they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving
to slumber.
23-58:5 Is
it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down
his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the
LORD?
23-60:14 The
sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all
they that despised thee shall bow themselves down
at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The
Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
23-60:20 Thy
sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy
moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the
days of thy mourning shall be ended.
23-63:6 And
I will tread down the people in mine anger, and
make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down
their strength to the earth.
23-63:14 As
a beast goeth down into the valley, the Spirit
of the LORD caused him to rest: so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself
a glorious name.
23-63:15 Look
down from heaven, and behold from the habitation
of thy holiness and of thy glory: where is
thy zeal and thy strength, the sounding of thy bowels and of thy mercies
toward me? are they restrained?
23-63:18 The
people of thy holiness have possessed it but
a little while: our adversaries have trodden down
thy sanctuary.
23-64:1 Oh
that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence.
23-64:3 When
thou didst terrible things which we
looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains
flowed down at thy presence.
23-65:10 And
Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds
to lie down in, for my people that have sought
me.
23-65:12 Therefore
will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down
to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye
did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
24-1:10 See,
I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out,
and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
24-3:25 We
lie down in our shame, and our confusion
covereth us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers,
from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD
our God.
24-4:26 I
beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a
wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down
at the presence of the LORD, and by
his fierce anger.
24-6:6 For
thus hath the LORD of hosts said, Hew ye down
trees, and cast a mount against Jerusalem: this is the city to be visited; she is
wholly oppression in the midst of her.
24-6:15 Were
they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all
ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that
fall: at the time that I visit them
they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
24-8:12 Were
they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all
ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that
fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
24-9:18 And
let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.
24-13:17 But
if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep
sore, and run down with tears, because the
Lord’s flock is carried away captive.
24-13:18 Say
unto the king and to the queen, Humble yourselves, sit down:
for your principalities shall come down, even the crown of your glory.
24-14:17 Therefore
thou shalt say this word unto them; Let mine eyes run down
with tears night and day, and let them not cease: for the virgin daughter of my
people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.
24-15:9 She
that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone
down while it
was yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them
will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the LORD.
24-18:2 Arise,
and go down to the potter’s house, and there I
will cause thee to hear my words.
24-18:3 Then
I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold,
he wrought a work on the wheels.
24-18:7 At what instant I shall speak concerning
a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;
24-21:13 Behold,
I am against thee, O inhabitant of
the valley, and rock of the plain,
saith the LORD; which say, Who shall come down
against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?
24-22:1 Thus
saith the LORD; Go down to the house of the king
of Judah, and speak there this word,
24-22:7 And
I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they
shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.
24-24:6 For
I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this
land: and I will build them, and not pull them
down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.
24-25:37 And
the peaceable habitations are cut down because
of the fierce anger of the LORD.
24-26:10 When
the princes of Judah heard these things, then they came up from the king’s
house unto the house of the LORD, and sat down
in the entry of the new gate of the LORD’S house.
24-31:28 And
it shall come to pass, that like as I
have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down,
and to throw down, and to destroy, and to
afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, saith the LORD.
24-31:40 And
the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto
the brook of Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto the LORD; it shall
not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for
ever.
24-33:4 For
thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and
concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword;
24-33:12 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and
without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of
shepherds causing their flocks to lie
down.
24-36:12 Then
he went down into the king’s house, into the
scribe’s chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and
Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the
son of Hananiah, and all the princes.
24-36:15 And
they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in
our ears. So Baruch read it in their
ears.
24-38:6 Then
took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of
Hammelech, that was in the court of
the prison: and they let down Jeremiah with
cords. And in the dungeon there was no
water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire.
24-38:11 So
Ebedmelech took the men with him, and went into the house of the king under the
treasury, and took thence old cast clouts and old rotten rags, and let them down by cords into the dungeon to Jeremiah.
24-39:8 And
the Chaldeans burned the king’s house, and the houses of the people, with fire,
and brake down the walls of Jerusalem.
24-42:10 If
ye will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down,
and I will plant you, and not pluck you up:
for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you.
24-45:4 Thus
shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down,
and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.
24-46:5 Wherefore
have I seen them dismayed and turned
away back? and their mighty ones are beaten down,
and are fled apace, and look not back: for
fear was round about, saith the
LORD.
24-46:23 They
shall cut down her forest, saith the LORD,
though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable.
24-48:2 There shall be no more praise of Moab:
in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou shalt be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.
24-48:5 For
in the going up of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the going down of Horonaim the enemies have heard a cry of
destruction.
24-48:15 Moab
is spoiled, and gone up out of her
cities, and his chosen young men are gone down
to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.
24-48:18 Thou
daughter that dost inhabit Dibon, come down from
thy glory, and sit in thirst; for the
spoiler of Moab shall come upon thee, and
he shall destroy thy strong holds.
24-48:20 Moab
is confounded; for it is broken down: howl and
cry; tell ye it in Arnon, that Moab is spoiled,
24-48:39 They
shall howl, saying, How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! so
shall Moab be a derision and a dismaying to all them about him.
24-49:16 Thy
terribleness hath deceived thee, and the
pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that
holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as
the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence,
saith the LORD.
24-50:15 Shout
against her round about: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen,
her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the LORD: take
vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.
24-50:27 Slay
all her bullocks; let them go down to the
slaughter: woe unto them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation.
24-51:25 Behold,
I am against thee, O destroying
mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch
out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from
the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain.
24-51:40 I
will bring them down like lambs to the
slaughter, like rams with he goats.
24-52:14 And
all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with
the captain of the guard, brake down all the
walls of Jerusalem round about.
25-LAMENTATIONS
25-1:9 Her
filthiness is in her skirts; she
remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down
wonderfully: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the enemy
hath magnified himself.
25-1:16 For
these things I weep; mine eye, mine
eye runneth down with water, because the
comforter that should relieve my soul is far from me: my children are desolate,
because the enemy prevailed.
25-2:1 How
hath the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger, and cast down
from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his
footstool in the day of his anger!
25-2:2 The
Lord hath swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and hath not pitied: he
hath thrown down in his wrath the strong holds
of the daughter of Judah; he hath brought them
down to the ground: he hath polluted the
kingdom and the princes thereof.
25-2:10 The
elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, and keep silence: they have cast up dust upon their heads; they
have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.
25-2:17 The
LORD hath done that which he had
devised; he hath fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old:
he hath thrown down, and hath not pitied: and he
hath caused thine enemy to rejoice
over thee, he hath set up the horn of thine adversaries.
25-2:18 Their
heart cried unto the Lord, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give thyself no rest;
let not the apple of thine eye cease.
25-3:48 Mine
eye runneth down with rivers of water for the
destruction of the daughter of my people.
25-3:49 Mine
eye trickleth down, and ceaseth not, without any
intermission,
25-3:50 Till
the LORD look down, and behold from heaven.
25-3:63 Behold
their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their musick.
26-1:13 As
for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and
like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down
among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went
forth lightning.
26-1:24 And
when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great
waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an
host: when they stood, they let down their
wings.
26-1:25 And
there was a voice from the firmament that was
over their heads, when they stood, and
had let down their wings.
26-6:4 And
your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast
down your slain men before your idols.
26-6:6 In
all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places
shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and
your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.
26-11:13 And
it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then
fell I down upon my face, and cried with a loud
voice, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of
Israel?
26-13:14 So
will I break down the wall that ye have daubed
with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof
shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst
thereof: and ye shall know that I am the
LORD.
26-16:39 And
I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of
thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.
26-17:24 And
all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have
dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD
have spoken and have done it.
26-19:2 And
say, What is thy mother? A lioness:
she lay down among lions, she nourished her
whelps among young lions.
26-19:6 And
he went up and down among the lions, he became a
young lion, and learned to catch the prey, and
devoured men.
26-19:12 But
she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to
the ground, and the east wind dried up her fruit: her strong rods were broken
and withered; the fire consumed them.
26-24:16 Son
of man, behold, I take away from thee the desire of thine eyes with a stroke:
yet neither shalt thou mourn nor weep, neither shall thy tears run down.
26-26:4 And
they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down
her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of
a rock.
26-26:9 And
he shall set engines of war against thy walls, and with his axes he shall break
down thy towers.
26-26:11 With
the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all
thy streets: he shall slay thy people by the sword, and thy strong garrisons
shall go down to the ground.
26-26:12 And
they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise: and
they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy
pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in
the midst of the water.
26-26:16 Then
all the princes of the sea shall come down from
their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their broidered garments:
they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground,
and shall tremble at every moment,
and be astonished at thee.
26-26:20 When
I shall bring thee down with them that descend
into the pit, with the people of old time, and shall set thee in the low parts
of the earth, in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I
shall set glory in the land of the living;
26-27:29 And
all that handle the oar, the mariners, and
all the pilots of the sea, shall come down
from their ships, they shall stand upon the land;
26-28:8 They
shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt
die the deaths of them that are slain
in the midst of the seas.
26-28:14 Thou
art the anointed cherub that
covereth; and I have set thee so: thou
wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
26-30:4 And
the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the
slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her
foundations shall be broken down.
26-30:6 Thus
saith the LORD; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her
power shall come down: from the tower of Syene
shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord GOD.
26-30:25 But
I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh
shall fall down; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall put my sword
into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out upon the land
of Egypt.
26-31:12 And
strangers, the terrible of the nations, have cut him off, and have left him:
upon the mountains and in all the valleys his branches are fallen, and his
boughs are broken by all the rivers of the land; and all the people of the
earth are gone down from his shadow, and have
left him.
26-31:14 To
the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves for their
height, neither shoot up their top among the thick boughs, neither their trees
stand up in their height, all that drink water: for they are all delivered unto
death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men,
with them that go down to the pit.
26-31:15 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; In the day when he went down
to the grave I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained
the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed: and I caused Lebanon to
mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.
26-31:16 I
made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and
all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water,
shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth.
26-31:17 They
also went down into hell with him unto them that be slain with the sword; and they that were his arm, that dwelt under his shadow in the midst
of the heathen.
26-31:18 To
whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet
shalt thou be brought down with the trees of
Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thou shalt lie in the midst of the
uncircumcised with them that be slain
by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all
his multitude, saith the Lord GOD.
26-32:18 Son
of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down,
even her, and the daughters of the
famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.
26-32:19 Whom
dost thou pass in beauty? go down, and be thou
laid with the uncircumcised.
26-32:21 The
strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hell with them
that help him: they are gone down, they lie
uncircumcised, slain by the sword.
26-32:24 There
is Elam and all her multitude round
about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which are gone down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth,
which caused their terror in the land of the living; yet have they borne their
shame with them that go down to the pit.
26-32:25 They
have set her a bed in the midst of the slain with all her multitude: her graves
are round about him: all of them
uncircumcised, slain by the sword: though their terror was caused in the land
of the living, yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit: he is put in the midst of them that be slain.
26-32:27 And
they shall not lie with the mighty that
are fallen of the uncircumcised, which are gone down
to hell with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their
heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though they were the terror of the mighty in
the land of the living.
26-32:29 There
is Edom, her kings, and all her
princes, which with their might are laid by them
that were slain by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and
with them that go down to the pit.
26-32:30 There
be the princes of the north, all of
them, and all the Zidonians, which are gone down
with the slain; with their terror they are ashamed of their might; and they lie
uncircumcised with them that be slain
by the sword, and bear their shame with them that go down
to the pit.
26-34:15 I
will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down,
saith the Lord GOD.
26-34:18 Seemeth it a small thing unto you to
have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down
with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep
waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet?
26-34:26 And
I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will
cause the shower to come down in his season;
there shall be showers of blessing.
26-37:1 The
hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and
set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,
26-38:20 So
that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the
field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall
shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to
the ground.
26-39:10 So
that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out
of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil
those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.
26-47:1 Afterward
he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out
from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters
came down from under from the right side of the
house, at the south side of the
altar.
26-47:8 Then
said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea,
the waters shall be healed.
27-3:5 That at what time ye hear the sound of
the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick,
ye fall down and worship the golden image that
Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:
27-3:6 And
whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the
same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
27-3:7 Therefore
at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp,
sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and
the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had
set up.
27-3:10 Thou,
O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the
cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick,
shall fall down and worship the golden image:
27-3:11 And
whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of
a burning fiery furnace.
27-3:15 Now
if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp,
sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be
cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out
of my hands?
27-3:23 And
these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down
bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
27-4:13 I
saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy
one came down from heaven;
27-4:14 He
cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree,
and cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the
beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his branches:
27-4:23 And
whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down
from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and
destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a
band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet
with the dew of heaven, and let his
portion be with the beasts of the
field, till seven times pass over him;
27-5:19 And
for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled
and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive;
and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down.
27-6:14 Then
the king, when he heard these words,
was sore displeased with himself, and set his
heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
27-7:9 I
beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the
Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was
white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
27-7:23 Thus
he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall
be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread
it down, and break it in pieces.
27-8:7 And
I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him,
and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram
to stand before him, but he cast him down to the
ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out
of his hand.
27-8:10 And
it waxed great, even to the host of
heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon
them.
27-8:11 Yea,
he magnified himself even to the
prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice
was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
27-8:12 And
an host was given him against the
daily sacrifice by reason of
transgression, and it cast down the truth to the
ground; and it practised, and prospered.
27-11:12 And when he hath taken away the
multitude, his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down many ten
thousands: but he shall not be strengthened by
it.
27-11:26 Yea,
they that feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and his army shall
overflow: and many shall fall down slain.
28-2:18 And
in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and
with the fowls of heaven, and with the
creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the
battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down
safely.
28-7:12 When
they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them,
as their congregation hath heard.
28-10:2 Their
heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.
29-1:17 The
seed is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are
broken down; for the corn is withered.
29-2:23 Be
glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath
given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter
rain in the first month.
29-3:2 I
will also gather all nations, and will bring them down
into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people
and for my heritage Israel, whom they
have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
29-3:11 Assemble
yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round
about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down,
O LORD.
29-3:13 Put
ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for
their wickedness is great.
29-3:18 And
it shall come to pass in that day, that the
mountains shall drop down new wine, and the
hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters,
and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the
valley of Shittim.
30-2:8 And
they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and
they drink the wine of the condemned in the
house of their god.
30-3:11 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; An adversary there
shall be even round about the land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be
spoiled.
30-5:24 But
let judgment run down as waters, and
righteousness as a mighty stream.
30-6:2 Pass
ye unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines: be they better than these kingdoms? or their border greater than
your border?
30-8:9 And
it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the
sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the
earth in the clear day:
30-9:2 Though
they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to
heaven, thence will I bring them down:
31-1:3 The
pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of
the rock, whose habitation is high;
that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down
to the ground?
31-1:4 Though
thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and
though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.
31-1:16 For
as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so
shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they
shall swallow down, and they shall be as though
they had not been.
32-1:3 But
Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish:
so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into
it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.
32-1:5 Then
the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the
wares that were in the ship into the
sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah
was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he
lay, and was fast asleep.
32-2:6 I
went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the
earth with her bars was about me for
ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.
33-1:3 For,
behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.
33-1:4 And
the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax
before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down
a steep place.
33-1:6 Therefore
I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will
discover the foundations thereof.
33-1:12 For
the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully for good: but evil came down from the LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem.
33-3:6 Therefore
night shall be unto you, that ye shall
not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and
the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the
day shall be dark over them.
33-5:8 And
the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as
a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of
sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down,
and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
33-5:11 And
I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down
all thy strong holds:
33-6:14 Thou
shalt eat, but not be satisfied; and thy casting down
shall be in the midst of thee; and
thou shalt take hold, but shalt not deliver; and that which thou deliverest will I give up to the sword.
33-7:10 Then
she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said
unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she
be trodden down as the mire of the streets.
34-1:6 Who
can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his
anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.
34-1:12 Thus
saith the LORD; Though they be quiet,
and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down,
when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee
no more.
36-1:11 Howl,
ye inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are cut down; all they that bear silver are cut off.
36-2:7 And
the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed
thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down
in the evening: for the LORD their God shall visit them, and turn away their
captivity.
36-2:14 And
flocks shall lie down in the midst of her, all
the beasts of the nations: both the cormorant and the bittern shall lodge in
the upper lintels of it; their voice
shall sing in the windows; desolation shall
be in the thresholds: for he shall uncover the cedar work.
36-2:15 This
is the rejoicing city that dwelt
carelessly, that said in her heart, I am,
and there is none beside me: how
is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down
in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.
36-3:13 The
remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a
deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
37-2:22 And
I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the
kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride
in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down,
every one by the sword of his brother.
38-10:5 And
they shall be as mighty men, which tread
down their
enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight,
because the LORD is with them, and
the riders on horses shall be confounded.
38-10:11 And
he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the
sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria
shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt
shall depart away.
38-10:12 And
I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD.
38-11:2 Howl,
fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye
oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down.
39-1:4 Whereas
Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places;
thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of
wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.
39-1:11 For
from the rising of the sun even unto the going down
of the same my name shall be great
among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith
the LORD of hosts.
39-4:3 And
ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall
be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.
40-2:11 And
when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his
mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when
they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and
frankincense, and myrrh.
40-3:10 And
now also the ax is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which
bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and
cast into the fire.
40-4:6 And
saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning
thee: and in their hands they shall
bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
40-4:9 And
saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down,
and cast into the fire.

he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes
followed him.

kingdom of heaven.

waters.

40-13:48 Which,
when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down,
and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
40-14:19 And

grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he

into a mountain, and sat down there.

ground.

again from the dead.
40-17:14 And
when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him,
and saying,

servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him,

shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

sitting down they watched him there;
40-27:40 And
saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now

him.

when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird
himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and
will come forth and serve them.
42-13:7 Then
said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come
seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down;
why cumbereth it the ground?
42-13:9 And
if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
42-13:29 And
they shall come from the east, and from the
west, and from the north, and from the
south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
42-14:8 When
thou art bidden of any man to a
wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest
a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;
42-14:10 But
when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the
lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend,
go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at
meat with thee.
42-14:28 For
which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down
first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
42-14:31 Or
what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten
thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
42-16:6 And
he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and
sit down quickly, and write fifty.
42-17:7 But
which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by
and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down
to meat?
42-17:16 And
fell down on his
face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
42-17:31 In
that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let
him not come down to take it away: and he that
is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
42-18:14 I
tell you, this man went down to his house
justified rather than the other: for
every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself
shall be exalted.
42-19:5 And
when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him,
Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day
I must abide at thy house.
42-19:6 And
he made haste, and came down, and received him
joyfully.
42-19:21 For
I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou
layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst
not sow.
42-19:22 And
he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I
was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down,
and reaping that I did not sow:
42-21:6 As for these things which ye behold, the
days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another,
that shall not be thrown down.
42-21:24 And
they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into
all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down
of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
42-22:14 And
when the hour was come, he sat down, and the
twelve apostles with him.
42-22:41 And
he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
42-22:44 And
being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great
drops of blood falling down to the ground.
42-22:55 And
when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down
among them.
42-23:53 And
he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and
laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was
laid.
42-24:5 And
as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto
them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
42-24:12 Then
arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down,
he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in
himself at that which was come to pass.
43-2:12 After
this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his
mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many
days.
43-3:13 And
no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down
from heaven, even the Son of man
which is in heaven.
43-4:47 When
he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and
besought him that he would come down, and heal
his son: for he was at the point of death.
43-4:49 The
nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my
child die.
43-4:51 And
as he was now going down, his servants met him,
and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.
43-5:4 For
an angel went down at a certain season into the
pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the
water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
43-5:7 The
impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to
put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
43-6:10 And
Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was
much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in
number about five thousand.
43-6:11 And
Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the
disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down;
and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
43-6:16 And
when even was now come, his disciples
went down unto the sea,
43-6:33 For
the bread of God is he which cometh down from
heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
43-6:38 For
I came down from heaven, not to do mine own
will, but the will of him that sent me.
43-6:41 The
Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.
43-6:42 And
they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we
know? how is it then that he saith, I came down
from heaven?
43-6:50 This
is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that
a man may eat thereof, and not die.
43-6:51 I
am the living bread which came down from heaven:
if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will
give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
43-6:58 This
is that bread which came down from heaven: not
as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall
live for ever.
43-8:2 And
early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came
unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
43-8:6 This
they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his
finger wrote on the ground, as though
he heard them not.
43-8:8 And
again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
43-10:15 As
the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
43-10:17 Therefore
doth my Father love me, because I lay down my
life, that I might take it again.
43-10:18 No
man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of
myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have
power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
43-11:32 Then
when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst
been here, my brother had not died.
43-13:12 So
after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have
done to you?
43-13:37 Peter
said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake.
43-13:38 Jesus
answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my
sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast
denied me thrice.
43-15:13 Greater
love hath no man than this, that a man lay down
his life for his friends.
43-19:13 When
Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called
the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.
43-20:5 And
he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.
43-20:11 But
Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked
into the sepulchre,
44-4:35 And
laid them down
at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he
had need.
44-5:5 And
Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave
up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
44-5:10 Then
fell she down straightway at his feet, and
yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and,
carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.
44-7:15 So
Jacob went down into Egypt, and died, he, and
our fathers,
44-7:34 I
have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I
have heard their groaning, and am come down to
deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt.
44-7:58 And
cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name
was Saul.
44-7:60 And
he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice,
Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell
asleep.
44-8:5 Then
Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and
preached Christ unto them.
44-8:15 Who,
when they were come down, prayed for them, that
they might receive the Holy Ghost:
44-8:26 And
the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south
unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto
Gaza, which is desert.
44-8:38 And
he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down
both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
44-9:25 Then
the disciples took him by night, and let him
down by the wall in a basket.
44-9:30 Which when the brethren knew, they
brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him forth
to Tarsus.
44-9:32 And
it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the
saints which dwelt at Lydda.
44-9:40 But
Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and
prayed; and turning him to the body
said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat
up.
44-10:11 And
saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a
great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down
to the earth:
44-10:20 Arise
therefore, and get thee down, and go with them,
doubting nothing: for I have sent them.
44-10:21 Then
Peter went down to the men which were sent unto
him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?
44-10:25 And
as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down
at his feet, and worshipped him.
44-11:5 I
was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain
vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down
from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:
44-12:19 And
when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and
commanded that they should be put to
death. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea,
and there abode.
44-13:14 But
when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into
the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.
44-13:29 And
when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down
from the tree, and laid him in a
sepulchre.
44-14:11 And
when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in
the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down
to us in the likeness of men.
44-14:25 And
when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down
into Attalia:
44-15:1 And
certain men which came down from Judaea taught
the brethren, and said, Except ye be
circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
44-15:16 After
this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is
fallen down; and I will build again the ruins
thereof, and I will set it up:
44-16:8 And
they passing by Mysia came down to Troas.
44-16:13 And
on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont
to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the
women which resorted thither.
44-16:29 Then
he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
44-17:6 And
when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers
of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;
44-18:22 And
when he had landed at Caesarea, and gone up, and saluted the church, he went down to Antioch.
44-19:35 And
when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the
city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?
44-20:9 And
there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a
deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down
with sleep, and fell down from the third loft,
and was taken up dead.
44-20:10 And
Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for
his life is in him.
44-20:36 And
when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and
prayed with them all.
44-21:5 And
when we had accomplished those days, we departed and went our way; and they all
brought us on our way, with wives and children, till we were out of the city: and we kneeled down
on the shore, and prayed.
44-21:10 And
as we tarried there many days, there
came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named
Agabus.
44-21:32 Who
immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down
unto them: and when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, they left
beating of Paul.
44-22:30 On
the morrow, because he would have known the certainty wherefore he was accused
of the Jews, he loosed him from his bands,
and commanded the chief priests and all their council to appear, and brought
Paul down, and set him before them.
44-23:10 And
when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul
should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to
bring him into the castle.
44-23:15 Now
therefore ye with the council signify to the chief captain that he bring him down unto you to morrow, as though ye would enquire
something more perfectly concerning him: and we, or ever he come near, are
ready to kill him.
44-23:20 And
he said, The Jews have agreed to desire thee that thou wouldest bring down Paul to morrow into the council, as though they
would enquire somewhat of him more perfectly.
44-24:22 And
when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said,
When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I
will know the uttermost of your matter.
44-25:5 Let
them therefore, said he, which among you are able, go down
with me, and accuse this man, if
there be any wickedness in him.
44-25:6 And
when he had tarried among them more than ten days, he went down unto Caesarea; and the next day sitting on the
judgment seat commanded Paul to be brought.
44-25:7 And
when he was come, the Jews which came down from
Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against
Paul, which they could not prove.
44-27:27 But
when the fourteenth night was come, as we were driven up and down in Adria, about midnight the shipmen deemed that
they drew near to some country;
44-27:30 And
as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though
they would have cast anchors out of the foreship,
44-28:6 Howbeit
they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down
dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to
him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.
45-10:6 But
the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine
heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from
above:)
45-11:3 Lord,
they have killed thy prophets, and digged down
thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
45-11:10 Let
their eyes be darkened that they may not see, and bow down
their back alway.
45-16:4 Who
have for my life laid down their own necks: unto
whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.
46-10:7 Neither
be ye idolaters, as were some of
them; as it is written, The people sat down to
eat and drink, and rose up to play.
46-14:25 And
thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face
he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.
46-15:24 Then
cometh the end, when he shall have
delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
47-4:9 Persecuted,
but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
47-7:6 Nevertheless
God, that comforteth those that are cast down,
comforted us by the coming of Titus;
47-10:4 (For
the weapons of our warfare are not
carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down
of strong holds;)
47-10:5 Casting
down imaginations, and every high thing that
exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every
thought to the obedience of Christ;
47-11:33 And
through a window in a basket was I let down by
the wall, and escaped his hands.
49-2:14 For
he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
49-4:26 Be
ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down
upon your wrath:
58-1:3 Who
being the brightness of his glory,
and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of
his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down
on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
58-10:12 But
this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
58-11:30 By
faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they
were compassed about seven days.
58-12:2 Looking
unto Jesus the author and finisher of our
faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising
the shame, and is set down at the right hand of
the throne of God.
58-12:12 Wherefore
lift up the hands which hang down, and the
feeble knees;
59-1:17 Every
good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no
variableness, neither shadow of turning.
59-5:4 Behold,
the hire of the labourers who have reaped down
your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them
which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
60-1:12 Unto
whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister
the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the
gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down
from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
61-2:4 For
if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be
reserved unto judgment;
62-3:16 Hereby
perceive we the love of God, because
he laid down his life for us: and we ought to
lay down our
lives for the brethren.
66-1:13 And
in the midst of the seven candlesticks one
like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down
to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
66-3:12 Him
that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go
no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the
city of my God, which is new
Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from
my God: and I will write upon him my
new name.
66-3:21 To
him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also
overcame, and am set down with my Father in his
throne.
66-4:10 The
four and twenty elders fall down before him that
sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast
their crowns before the throne, saying,
66-5:8 And
when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before
the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours,
which are the prayers of saints.
66-5:14 And
the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and
twenty elders fell down and worshipped him
that liveth for ever and ever.
66-10:1 And
I saw another mighty angel come down from
heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was
upon his head, and his face was as
it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
66-12:10 And
I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and
the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our
brethren is cast down, which accused them before
our God day and night.
66-12:12 Therefore
rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that
dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil
is come down unto you, having great wrath,
because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
66-13:13 And
he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down
from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
66-18:1 And
after these things I saw another angel come down
from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
66-18:21 And
a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with
violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down,
and shall be found no more at all.
66-19:4 And
the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down
and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
66-20:1 And
I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the
key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
66-20:9 And
they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints
about, and the beloved city: and fire came down
from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
66-21:2 And
I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down
from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
66-22:8 And
I John saw these things, and heard them. And
when I had heard and seen, I fell down to
worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
