01-GENESIS
01-19:32 Come,
let us make our father drink wine, and we will
lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
01-19:33 And
they made their father drink wine that night:
and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when
she lay down, nor when she arose.
01-19:34 And
it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger,
Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve
seed of our father.
01-19:35 And
they made their father drink wine that night
also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she
lay down, nor when she arose.
01-21:19 And
God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the
bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.
01-24:14 And
let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher,
I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall
say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let
the same be she that thou hast
appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed
kindness unto my master.
01-24:17 And
the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher.
01-24:18 And
she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and
let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink.
01-24:19 And
when she had done giving him drink, she said, I
will draw water for thy camels also,
until they have done drinking.
01-24:43 Behold,
I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin
cometh forth to draw water, and I say
to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water of thy pitcher to drink;
01-24:44 And
she say to me, Both drink thou, and I will also
draw for thy camels: let the same be the woman whom the LORD hath
appointed out for my master’s son.
01-24:45 And
before I had done speaking in mine heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her
pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down unto the well, and drew water: and I said unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee.
01-24:46 And
she made haste, and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, Drink, and I
will give thy camels drink also: so I drank, and
she made the camels drink also.
01-24:54 And
they did eat and drink, he and the men that were with him, and tarried all night;
and they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away unto my master.
01-25:34 Then
Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau
despised his birthright.
01-26:30 And
he made them a feast, and they did eat and drink.
01-30:38 And
he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the
watering troughs when the flocks came to drink,
that they should conceive when they came to drink.
01-35:14 And
Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon.
02-7:18 And
the fish that is in the river shall
die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall loathe to drink of the water of the river.
02-7:21 And
the fish that was in the river died;
and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink
of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of
Egypt.
02-7:24 And
all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink
of the water of the river.
02-15:23 And
when they came to Marah, they could not drink of
the waters of Marah, for they were bitter:
therefore the name of it was called Marah.
02-15:24 And
the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
02-17:1 And
all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of
Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and
pitched in Rephidim: and there was no
water for the people to drink.
02-17:2 Wherefore
the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me?
wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?
02-17:6 Behold,
I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the
rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of
Israel.
02-24:11 And
upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw
God, and did eat and drink.
02-29:40 And
with the one lamb a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin
of beaten oil; and the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering.
02-29:41 And
the other lamb thou shalt offer at even, and shalt do thereto according to the
meat offering of the morning, and according to the drink
offering thereof, for a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
02-30:9 Ye
shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt sacrifice, nor meat offering;
neither shall ye pour drink offering thereon.
02-32:6 And
they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought
peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink,
and rose up to play.
02-32:20 And
he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it
to powder, and strawed it upon
the water, and made the children of Israel drink
of it.
02-34:28 And
he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat
bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the
tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
03-10:9 Do
not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into
the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:
03-11:34 Of
all meat which may be eaten, that on
which such water cometh shall be
unclean: and all drink that may be drunk in
every such vessel shall be unclean.
03-23:13 And
the meat offering thereof shall be two
tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the
LORD for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part
of an hin.
03-23:18 And
ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year,
and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and
their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD.
03-23:37 These
are the feasts of the LORD, which ye
shall proclaim to be holy
convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt
offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink
offerings, every thing upon his day:
04-5:24 And
he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter
water that causeth the curse: and the water that causeth the curse shall enter
into her, and become bitter.
04-5:26 And
the priest shall take an handful of the offering, even the memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water.
04-5:27 And
when he hath made her to drink the water, then
it shall come to pass, that, if she
be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth
the curse shall enter into her, and
become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the
woman shall be a curse among her people.
04-6:3 He
shall separate himself from wine and
strong drink, and shall drink
no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink,
neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor
eat moist grapes, or dried.
04-6:15 And
a basket of unleavened bread, cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, and wafers of
unleavened bread anointed with oil, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings.
04-6:17 And
he shall offer the ram for a
sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, with the basket of unleavened
bread: the priest shall offer also his meat offering, and his drink offering.
04-6:20 And
the priest shall wave them for a wave
offering before the LORD: this is holy
for the priest, with the wave breast and heave shoulder: and after that the
Nazarite may drink wine.
04-15:5 And
the fourth part of an hin of wine for
a drink offering shalt thou prepare with the
burnt offering or sacrifice, for one lamb.
04-15:7 And
for a drink offering thou shalt offer the third part of an hin of wine, for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
04-15:10 And
thou shalt bring for a drink offering half an
hin of wine, for an offering made by
fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
04-15:24 Then
it shall be, if ought be committed by
ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation
shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the
LORD, with his meat offering, and his drink
offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering.
04-20:5 And
wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this
evil place? it is no place of seed,
or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.
04-20:8 Take
the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother,
and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his
water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt
give the congregation and their beasts drink.
04-20:17 Let
us pass, I pray thee, through thy country: we will not pass through the fields,
or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go by
the king’s high way, we will not turn
to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy borders.
04-20:19 And
the children of Israel said unto him, We will go by the high way: and if I and
my cattle drink of thy water, then I will pay
for it: I will only, without doing any
thing else, go through on my feet.
04-21:22 Let
me pass through thy land: we will not turn into the fields, or into the
vineyards; we will not drink of the waters of the well: but we will go along by the king’s high way, until we be past thy borders.
04-23:24 Behold,
the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion:
he shall not lie down until he eat of the
prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
04-28:7 And
the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of
an hin for the one lamb: in the holy place
shalt thou cause the strong wine to be poured unto the LORD for a drink
offering.
04-28:8 And
the other lamb shalt thou offer at even: as the meat offering of the morning,
and as the drink offering thereof, thou shalt
offer it, a sacrifice made by fire,
of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
04-28:9 And
on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth
deals of flour for a meat offering,
mingled with oil, and the drink offering
thereof:
04-28:10 This is the burnt offering of every
sabbath, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink
offering.
04-28:14 And
their drink offerings shall be half an hin of
wine unto a bullock, and the third part of
an hin unto a ram, and a fourth part of
an hin unto a lamb: this is the burnt
offering of every month throughout the months of the year.
04-28:15 And
one kid of the goats for a sin offering unto the LORD shall be offered, beside
the continual burnt offering, and his drink
offering.
04-28:24 After
this manner ye shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the meat of the
sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD: it shall be offered
beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink
offering.
04-28:31 Ye
shall offer them beside the continual
burnt offering, and his meat offering, (they shall be unto you without blemish)
and their drink offerings.
04-29:6 Beside
the burnt offering of the month, and his meat offering, and the daily burnt
offering, and his meat offering, and their drink
offerings, according unto their manner, for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by
fire unto the LORD.
04-29:11 One
kid of the goats for a sin offering;
beside the sin offering of atonement, and the continual burnt offering, and the
meat offering of it, and their drink offerings.
04-29:16 And
one kid of the goats for a sin
offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering.
04-29:18 And
their meat offering and their drink offerings
for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:
04-29:19 And
one kid of the goats for a sin
offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and the meat offering thereof,
and their drink offerings.
04-29:21 And
their meat offering and their drink offerings
for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:
04-29:22 And
one goat for a sin offering; beside
the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, and his drink offering.
04-29:24 Their
meat offering and their drink offerings for the
bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall
be according to their number, after the manner:
04-29:25 And
one kid of the goats for a sin
offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering.
04-29:27 And
their meat offering and their drink offerings
for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:
04-29:28 And
one goat for a sin offering; beside
the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, and his drink offering.
04-29:30 And
their meat offering and their drink offerings
for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:
04-29:31 And
one goat for a sin offering; beside
the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering.
04-29:33 And
their meat offering and their drink offerings
for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:
04-29:34 And
one goat for a sin offering; beside
the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering.
04-29:37 Their
meat offering and their drink offerings for the
bullock, for the ram, and for the lambs, shall
be according to their number, after the manner:
04-29:38 And
one goat for a sin offering; beside
the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, and his drink offering.
04-29:39 These
things ye shall do unto the LORD in
your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt
offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink
offerings, and for your peace offerings.
04-33:14 And
they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, where was no water for the
people to drink.
05-2:6 Ye
shall buy meat of them for money, that ye may eat; and ye shall also buy water
of them for money, that ye may drink.
05-2:28 Thou
shalt sell me meat for money, that I may eat; and give me water for money, that
I may drink: only I will pass through on my
feet;
05-9:9 When
I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which
the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights,
I neither did eat bread nor drink water:
05-9:18 And
I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I
did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because
of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD,
to provoke him to anger.
05-14:26 And
thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen,
or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink,
or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD
thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
05-28:39 Thou
shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but
shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the
grapes; for the worms shall eat them.
05-29:6 Ye
have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the LORD your God.
05-32:14 Butter
of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan,
and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape.
05-32:38 Which
did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank
the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise
up and help you, and be your
protection.
07-4:19 And
he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water to drink; for I am thirsty. And she opened a bottle of
milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.
07-7:5 So
he brought down the people unto the water: and the LORD said unto Gideon, Every
one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou
set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink.
07-7:6 And
the number of them that lapped, putting their
hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people
bowed down upon their knees to drink water.
07-9:27 And
they went out into the fields, and gathered their vineyards, and trode the grapes, and made merry, and went
into the house of their god, and did eat and drink,
and cursed Abimelech.
07-13:4 Now
therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not
wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:
07-13:7 But
he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink,
neither eat any unclean thing: for
the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death.
07-13:14 She
may not eat of any thing that cometh
of the vine, neither let her drink wine or
strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: all that I commanded her let her
observe.
07-19:4 And
his father in law, the damsel’s father, retained him; and he abode with him
three days: so they did eat and drink, and
lodged there.
07-19:6 And
they sat down, and did eat and drink both of
them together: for the damsel’s father had said unto the man, Be content, I
pray thee, and tarry all night, and let thine heart be merry.
07-19:21 So
he brought him into his house, and gave provender unto the asses: and they
washed their feet, and did eat and drink.
08-2:9 Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I
not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art
athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn.
09-1:15 And
Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am
a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.
09-30:11 And
they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him
bread, and he did eat; and they made him drink
water;
10-11:11 And
Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my
lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall
I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink,
and to lie with my wife? as thou
livest, and as thy soul liveth, I
will not do this thing.
10-11:13 And
when David had called him, he did eat and drink
before him; and he made him drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed
with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house.
10-16:2 And
the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The asses be for the king’s household to ride on;
and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that
such as be faint in the wilderness may drink.
10-19:35 I
am this day fourscore years old: and can I discern between good and evil?
can thy servant taste what I eat or what I drink?
can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then
should thy servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?
10-23:15 And
David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink
of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!
10-23:16 And
the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water
out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by
the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.
10-23:17 And
he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their
lives? therefore he would not drink it. These
things did these three mighty men.
11-1:25 For
he is gone down this day, and hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in
abundance, and hath called all the king’s sons, and the captains of the host,
and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they eat and drink
before him, and say, God save king Adonijah.
11-13:8 And
the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I
will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink
water in this place:
11-13:9 For
so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou
camest.
11-13:16 And
he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat
bread nor drink water with thee in this place:
11-13:17 For
it was said to me by the word of the LORD, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way
that thou camest.
11-13:18 He
said unto him, I am a prophet also as
thou art; and an angel spake unto me
by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house,
that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.
11-13:22 But
camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the LORD did say to thee, Eat no bread,
and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come
unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.
11-17:4 And
it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to
feed thee there.
11-17:10 So
he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city,
behold, the widow woman was there
gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a
little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
11-18:41 And
Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink;
for there is a sound of abundance of
rain.
11-18:42 So
Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah
went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put
his face between his knees,
11-19:6 And
he looked, and, behold, there was a
cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.
11-19:8 And
he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the
strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.
12-3:17 For
thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that
valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink,
both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.
12-6:22 And
he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wouldest
thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow?
set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink,
and go to their master.
12-7:8 And
when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one
tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence
silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried
thence also, and went and hid it.
12-9:34 And
when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and
said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and
bury her: for she is a king’s
daughter.
12-16:13 And
he burnt his burnt offering and his meat offering, and poured his drink offering, and sprinkled the blood of his peace
offerings, upon the altar.
12-16:15 And
king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, Upon the great altar burn the
morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king’s burnt
sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of
the land, and their meat offering, and their drink
offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all
the blood of the sacrifice: and the brasen altar shall be for me to enquire by.
12-18:27 But
Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to
speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the
wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink
their own piss with you?
12-18:31 Hearken
not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me, and then eat ye every man of his own vine,
and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye
every one the waters of his cistern:
13-11:17 And
David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink
of the water of the well of Bethlehem, that is
at the gate!
13-11:18 And
the three brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the
well of Bethlehem, that was by the
gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but David would not drink of it,
but poured it out to the LORD,
13-11:19 And
said, My God forbid it me, that I should do this thing: shall I drink the blood of these men that have put their lives
in jeopardy? for with the jeopardy of their
lives they brought it. Therefore he would not drink
it. These things did these three mightiest.
13-29:21 And
they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings unto the
LORD, on the morrow after that day, even a
thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a
thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and
sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:
13-29:22 And
did eat and drink before the LORD on that day
with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second
time, and anointed him unto the LORD to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.
14-28:15 And
the men which were expressed by name rose up, and took the captives, and with
the spoil clothed all that were naked among them, and arrayed them, and shod
them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and
anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them upon asses, and brought them
to Jericho, the city of palm trees, to their brethren: then they returned to
Samaria.
14-29:35 And
also the burnt offerings were in
abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings, and the drink offerings for every burnt
offering. So the service of the house of the LORD was set in order.
15-3:7 They
gave money also unto the masons, and to the carpenters; and meat, and drink, and oil, unto them of Zidon, and to them of
Tyre, to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea of Joppa, according to the
grant that they had of Cyrus king of Persia.
15-7:17 That
thou mayest buy speedily with this money bullocks, rams, lambs, with their meat
offerings and their drink offerings, and offer
them upon the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem.
15-10:6 Then
Ezra rose up from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Johanan
the son of Eliashib: and when he came
thither, he did eat no bread, nor drink water:
for he mourned because of the transgression of them that had been carried away.
16-8:10 Then
he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink
the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD
is your strength.
16-8:12 And
all the people went their way to eat, and to drink,
and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the
words that were declared unto them.
17-1:7 And
they gave them drink in vessels of gold, (the vessels being diverse
one from another,) and royal wine in abundance, according to the state of the
king.
17-3:15 The
posts went out, being hastened by the king’s commandment, and the decree was
given in Shushan the palace. And the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city Shushan was perplexed.
17-4:16 Go,
gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me,
and neither eat nor drink three days, night or
day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the
king, which is not according to the
law: and if I perish, I perish.
18-1:4 And
his sons went and feasted in their houses,
every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.
18-21:20 His
eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink
of the wrath of the Almighty.
18-22:7 Thou
hast not given water to the weary to drink, and
thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.
19-16:4 Their
sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten
after another god: their drink offerings of blood
will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
19-36:8 They
shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt
make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
19-50:13 Will
I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of
goats?
19-60:3 Thou
hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.
19-69:21 They
gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
19-75:8 For
in the hand of the LORD there is a
cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the
same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
19-78:15 He
clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them
drink as out
of the great depths.
19-78:44 And
had turned their rivers into blood; and their floods, that they could not drink.
19-80:5 Thou
feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
19-102:9 For
I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink
with weeping,
19-104:11 They
give drink to every beast of the field: the wild
asses quench their thirst.
19-110:7 He
shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore
shall he lift up the head.
20-4:17 For
they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the
wine of violence.
20-5:15 Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running
waters out of thine own well.
20-9:5 Come,
eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
20-20:1 Wine
is a mocker, strong drink is raging:
and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
20-23:7 For
as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:
Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
20-25:21 If
thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him
water to drink:
20-31:4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:
20-31:5 Lest
they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the
judgment of any of the afflicted.
20-31:6 Give
strong drink unto him that is ready to perish,
and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.
20-31:7 Let
him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember
his misery no more.
21-2:24 There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he
should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.
21-3:13 And
also that every man should eat and drink, and
enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the
gift of God.
21-5:18 Behold
that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he
taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion.
21-8:15 Then
I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to
eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that
shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him
under the sun.
21-9:7 Go
thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy
wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
22-5:1 I
am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse:
I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my
honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink
abundantly, O beloved.
22-8:2 I
would lead thee, and bring thee into
my mother’s house, who would instruct
me: I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine
of the juice of my pomegranate.
23-5:11 Woe
unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink;
that continue until night, till wine
inflame them!
23-5:22 Woe
unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
23-21:5 Prepare
the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink:
arise, ye princes, and anoint the
shield.
23-22:13 And
behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and
drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for to
morrow we shall die.
23-24:9 They
shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it.
23-28:7 But
they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink
are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of
the way through strong drink; they err in
vision, they stumble in judgment.
23-29:9 Stay
yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with
wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
23-32:6 For
the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to
practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul
of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of
the thirsty to fail.
23-36:12 But
Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these
words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the
wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink
their own piss with you?
23-36:16 Hearken
not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a
present, and come out to me: and eat ye every one of his vine, and every one of
his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters
of his own cistern;
23-43:20 The
beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give
waters in the wilderness, and rivers
in the desert, to give drink to my people, my
chosen.
23-51:22 Thus
saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God that
pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand
the cup of trembling, even the dregs
of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink
it again:
23-56:12 Come
ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and
we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to
morrow shall be as this day, and much
more abundant.
23-57:6 Among
the smooth stones of the stream is thy portion; they, they are thy lot: even to them hast thou
poured a drink offering, thou hast offered a
meat offering. Should I receive comfort in these?
23-62:8 The
LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I
will no more give thy corn to be meat
for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:
23-62:9 But
they that have gathered it shall eat it and praise the LORD; and they that have
brought it together shall drink it in the courts
of my holiness.
23-65:11 But
ye are they that forsake the LORD,
that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that
furnish the drink offering unto that number.
23-65:13 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry:
behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be
thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:
24-2:18 And
now what hast thou to do in the way of Egypt, to drink
the waters of Sihor? or what hast thou to do in the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of the river?
24-7:18 The
children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen
of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto
other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
24-8:14 Why
do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced
cities, and let us be silent there: for the LORD our God hath put us to
silence, and given us water of gall to drink,
because we have sinned against the LORD.
24-9:15 Therefore
thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and
give them water of gall to drink.
24-16:7 Neither
shall men tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead;
neither shall men give them the cup
of consolation to drink for their father or for
their mother.
24-16:8 Thou
shalt not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink.
24-19:13 And
the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled
as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have
burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.
24-22:15 Shalt
thou reign, because thou closest thyself in
cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do
judgment and justice, and then it was well with him?
24-23:15 Therefore
thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them
with wormwood, and make them drink the water of
gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the
land.
24-25:15 For
thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my
hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.
24-25:16 And
they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad,
because of the sword that I will send among them.
24-25:17 Then
took I the cup at the LORD’S hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me:
24-25:26 And
all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the
kingdoms of the world, which are upon
the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink
after them.
24-25:27 Therefore
thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise
no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
24-25:28 And
it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the
LORD of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink.
24-32:29 And
the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this
city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense
unto Baal, and poured out drink offerings unto
other gods, to provoke me to anger.
24-35:2 Go
unto the house of the Rechabites, and speak unto them, and bring them into the
house of the LORD, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.
24-35:5 And
I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites pots full of wine, and
cups, and I said unto them, Drink ye wine.
24-35:6 But
they said, We will drink no wine: for Jonadab
the son of Rechab our father commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, neither
ye, nor your sons for ever:
24-35:8 Thus
have we obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab our father in all that he
hath charged us, to drink no wine all our days,
we, our wives, our sons, nor our daughters;
24-35:14 The
words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed; for unto this day they drink none, but obey their father’s commandment:
notwithstanding I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye
hearkened not unto me.
24-44:17 But
we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn
incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink
offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our
princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were
well, and saw no evil.
24-44:18 But
since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the
sword and by the famine.
24-44:19 And
when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to
worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto
her, without our men?
24-44:25 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both
spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely
perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven,
and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye
will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.
24-49:12 For
thus saith the LORD; Behold, they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have
assuredly drunken; and art thou he that shall altogether go unpunished?
thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou shalt surely drink
of it.
26-4:11 Thou
shalt drink also water by measure, the sixth
part of an hin: from time to time shalt thou drink.
26-4:16 Moreover
he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in
Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:
26-12:18 Son
of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink
thy water with trembling and with carefulness;
26-12:19 And
say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of
Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel;
They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink
their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that is
therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.
26-20:28 For when I had brought them into the
land, for the which I lifted up mine
hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick
trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the
provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and
poured out there their drink offerings.
26-23:32 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; Thou shalt drink of thy
sister’s cup deep and large: thou shalt be laughed to scorn and had in
derision; it containeth much.
26-23:34 Thou
shalt even drink it and suck it out, and thou shalt break the sherds
thereof, and pluck off thine own breasts: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
26-25:4 Behold,
therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the east for a possession, and they
shall set their palaces in thee, and make their dwellings in thee: they shall
eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.
26-31:14 To
the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves for their
height, neither shoot up their top among the thick boughs, neither their trees
stand up in their height, all that drink water:
for they are all delivered unto death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the
midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit.
26-31:16 I
made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to
hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice
and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall
be comforted in the nether parts of the earth.
26-34:19 And
as for my flock, they eat that which
ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink
that which ye have fouled with your feet.
26-39:17 And,
thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and
to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves
on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may
eat flesh, and drink blood.
26-39:18 Ye
shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the
blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of
bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
26-39:19 And
ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink
blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
26-44:21 Neither
shall any priest drink wine, when they enter
into the inner court.
26-45:17 And
it shall be the prince’s part to give burnt
offerings, and meat offerings, and drink
offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all
solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the
meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make
reconciliation for the house of Israel.
27-1:10 And
the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath
appointed your meat and your drink: for why
should he see your faces worse liking than the children which are of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king.
27-1:12 Prove
thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and
water to drink.
27-1:16 Thus
Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.
27-5:2 Belshazzar,
whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels
which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his
princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink
therein.
28-2:5 For
their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done
shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my
flax, mine oil and my drink.
28-4:18 Their
drink is sour: they have committed whoredom
continually: her rulers with shame do
love, Give ye.
29-1:9 The
meat offering and the drink offering is cut off
from the house of the LORD; the priests, the LORD’S ministers, mourn.
29-1:13 Gird
yourselves, and lament, ye priests: howl, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie
all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your
God.
29-2:14 Who
knoweth if he will return and repent,
and leave a blessing behind him; even a
meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD
your God?
29-3:3 And
they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold
a girl for wine, that they might drink.
30-2:8 And
they lay themselves down upon clothes
laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink
the wine of the condemned in the
house of their god.
30-2:12 But
ye gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and
commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.
30-4:1 Hear
this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in
the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which
say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink.
30-4:8 So
two or three cities wandered unto one
city, to drink water; but they were not
satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
30-5:11 Forasmuch
therefore as your treading is upon
the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn
stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but
ye shall not drink wine of them.
30-6:6 That
drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with
the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.
30-9:14 And
I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build
the waste cities, and inhabit them; and
they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine
thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
31-1:16 For
as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so
shall all the heathen drink continually,
yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow
down, and they shall be as though they had not been.
32-3:7 And
he caused it to be proclaimed and
published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let
neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:
33-2:11 If
a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.
33-6:15 Thou
shalt sow, but thou shalt not reap; thou shalt tread the olives, but thou shalt
not anoint thee with oil; and sweet wine, but shalt not drink wine.
35-2:15 Woe
unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that
puttest thy bottle to him, and makest
him drunken also, that thou mayest
look on their nakedness!
35-2:16 Thou
art filled with shame for glory: drink thou
also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD’S right hand shall
be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall
be on thy glory.
36-1:13 Therefore
their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall
also build houses, but not inhabit them; and
they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the
wine thereof.
37-1:6 Ye
have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he
that earneth wages earneth wages to put
it into a bag with holes.
38-7:6 And
when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not
ye eat for yourselves, and drink for
yourselves?
38-9:15 The
LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling
stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and
they shall be filled like bowls, and as
the corners of the altar.
40-6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no
thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is
not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
40-6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying,
What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or,
Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
40-10:42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple,
verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
40-20:22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know
not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup
that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with
the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
40-20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the
baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left,
is not mine to give, but it shall be
given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.
40-24:49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
40-25:35 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me
meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was
a stranger, and ye took me in:
40-25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him,
saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee
drink?
40-25:42 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me
no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
40-26:27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks,
and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
40-26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that
day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s
kingdom.
40-26:42 He went away again the second time,
and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except
I drink it, thy will be done.
40-27:34 They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.
40-27:48 And straightway one of them ran, and
took a spunge, and filled it with
vinegar, and put it on a reed, and
gave him to drink.
41-9:41 For whosoever shall give you a cup
of water to drink in my name, because ye belong
to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
41-10:38 But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not
what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am
baptized with?
41-10:39 And they said unto him, We can. And
Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of
the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism
that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:
41-14:25 Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day
that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
41-15:23 And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.
41-15:36 And one ran and filled a spunge full
of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and
gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see
whether Elias will come to take him down.
41-16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if
they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt
them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
42-1:15 For he shall be great in the sight
of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor
strong drink; and he shall be filled with the
Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.
42-5:30 But their scribes and Pharisees
murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
42-5:33 And they said unto him, Why do the
disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but
thine eat and drink?
42-12:19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou
hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be
merry.
42-12:29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or
what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful
mind.
42-12:45 But and if that servant say in his
heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and
maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be
drunken;
42-17:8 And will not rather say unto him,
Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have
eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
42-22:18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of
