01-2:16 And the
LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest
freely eat:
01-2:17 But of the
tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat
of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
01-3:1 Now the
serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had
made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
01-3:2 And the
woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the
fruit of the trees of the garden:
01-3:3 But of
the fruit of the tree which is in the
midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat
of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
01-3:5 For God
doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then
your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
01-3:6 And when
the woman saw that the tree was good
for food, and that it was pleasant to
the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one
wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat,
and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
01-3:11 And he
said, Who told thee that thou wast naked?
Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
01-3:12 And the
man said, The woman whom thou gavest to
be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
01-3:13 And the
LORD God said unto the woman, What is this
that thou hast done? And the woman
said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
01-3:14 And the
LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above
every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
01-3:17 And unto
Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast
eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is
the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat
of it all the days of thy life;
01-3:18 Thorns
also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
01-3:19 In the
sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till
thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
01-3:22 And the
LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and
now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
01-9:4 But
flesh with the life thereof, which is the
blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
01-18:8 And he
took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them
under the tree, and they did eat.
01-19:3 And he
pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his
house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
01-24:33 And there
was set meat before him to eat: but he said, I will not eat,
until I have told mine errand. And he said, Speak on.
01-24:54 And they
did eat and drink, he and the men that were with him, and tarried all night;
and they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away unto my master.
01-25:28 And Isaac
loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.
01-25:34 Then Jacob
gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat
and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
01-26:30 And he
made them a feast, and they did eat and drink.
01-27:4 And make
me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it
to me, that I may eat; that my soul may
bless thee before I die.
01-27:7 Bring me
venison, and make me savoury meat, that I may eat,
and bless thee before the LORD before my death.
01-27:10 And thou
shalt bring it to thy father, that he
may eat, and that he may bless thee before his
death.
01-27:19 And Jacob
said unto his father, I am Esau thy
firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and
eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.
01-27:25 And he
said, Bring it near to me, and I will
eat of my son’s venison, that my soul may bless
thee. And he brought it near to him,
and he did eat: and he brought him wine, and he
drank.
01-27:31 And he also
had made savoury meat, and brought it unto his father, and said unto his
father, Let my father arise, and eat of his
son’s venison, that thy soul may bless me.
01-28:20 And Jacob
vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that
I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment
to put on,
01-31:46 And Jacob
said unto his brethren, Gather stones; and they took stones, and made an heap:
and they did eat there upon the heap.
01-31:54 Then Jacob
offered sacrifice upon the mount, and called his brethren to eat bread: and they did eat
bread, and tarried all night in the mount.
01-32:32 Therefore
the children of
01-37:25 And they
sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their
eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with
their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt.
01-39:6 And he
left all that he had in Joseph’s hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the
bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.
01-40:17 And in the
uppermost basket there was of all
manner of bakemeats for Pharaoh; and the birds did eat
them out of the basket upon my head.
01-40:19 Yet within
three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on
a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from
off thee.
01-41:4 And the
ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up the
seven well favoured and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.
01-41:20 And the
lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the
first seven fat kine:
01-43:25 And they
made ready the present against Joseph came at
01-43:32 And they
set on for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians,
which did eat with him, by themselves: because
the Egyptians might not eat bread with the
Hebrews; for that is an abomination
unto the Egyptians.
01-45:18 And take
your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good
of the
01-47:22 Only the
land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: wherefore
they sold not their lands.
02-2:20 And he said unto his daughters, And
where is he? why is it that ye have left
the man? call him, that he may eat bread.
02-10:5 And they shall cover the face of the
earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which
remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat
every tree which groweth for you out of the field:
02-10:12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch
out thine hand over the
02-10:15 For they covered the face of the
whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the
trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the
trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the
02-12:7 And they shall take of the blood,
and strike it on the two side posts
and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
02-12:8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and
unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
02-12:9 Eat
not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
02-12:11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your
loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye
shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD’S passover.
02-12:15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put
away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the
first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from
02-12:16 And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and
in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work
shall be done in them, save that which
every man must eat, that only may be done of
you.
02-12:18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day
of the month at even.
02-12:20 Ye shall eat
nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat
unleavened bread.
02-12:43 And the LORD said unto Moses and
Aaron, This is the ordinance of the
passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof:
02-12:44 But every man’s servant that is
bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.
02-12:45 A foreigner and an hired servant
shall not eat thereof.
02-12:48 And when a stranger shall sojourn
with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be
circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one
that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.
02-13:6 Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the LORD.
02-16:3 And the children of Israel said unto
them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt,
when we sat by the flesh pots, and when
we did eat bread to the full; for ye have
brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.
02-16:8 And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to
eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for
that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the
LORD.
02-16:12 I have heard the murmurings of the
children of
02-16:15 And when the children of
02-16:25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in the
field.
02-16:35 And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land
inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came
unto the borders of the land of Canaan.
02-18:12 And Jethro, Moses’ father in law,
took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God: and Aaron came, and all the
elders of
02-22:31 And ye shall be holy men unto me:
neither shall ye eat any flesh that is torn of
beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs.
02-23:11 But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy
people may eat: and what they leave the beasts
of the field shall eat. In like manner thou
shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with
thy oliveyard.
02-23:15 Thou shalt keep the feast of
unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened
bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib;
for in it thou camest out from
02-24:11 And upon the nobles of the children
of
02-29:32 And Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
02-29:33 And they shall eat those things wherewith the atonement was made, to
consecrate and to sanctify them: but
a stranger shall not eat thereof, because they are holy.
02-32:6 And they rose up early on the
morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the
people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up
to play.
02-34:15 Lest thou make a covenant with the
inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do
sacrifice unto their gods, and one call
thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
02-34:18 The feast of unleavened bread shalt
thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened
bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month
Abib thou camest out from
02-34:28 And he was there with the LORD forty
days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread,
nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the
ten commandments.
03-3:17 It shall be a perpetual statute for your
generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat
neither fat nor blood.
03-6:16 And
the remainder thereof shall Aaron and his sons eat:
with unleavened bread shall it be eaten in the holy place; in the court of the
tabernacle of the congregation they shall eat
it.
03-6:18 All
the males among the children of Aaron shall eat
of it. It shall be a statute for ever
in your generations concerning the offerings of the LORD made by fire: every
one that toucheth them shall be holy.
03-6:26 The
priest that offereth it for sin shall eat it: in
the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the
congregation.
03-6:29 All
the males among the priests shall eat thereof:
it is most holy.
03-7:6 Every
male among the priests shall eat thereof: it
shall be eaten in the holy place: it is most
holy.
03-7:19 And
the flesh that toucheth any unclean thing
shall not be eaten; it shall be burnt with fire: and as for the flesh, all
that be clean shall eat thereof.
03-7:21 Moreover
the soul that shall touch any unclean thing,
as the uncleanness of man, or any unclean
beast, or any abominable unclean thing, and
eat of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace
offerings, which pertain unto the LORD,
even that soul shall be cut off from his people.
03-7:23 Speak
unto the children of
03-7:24 And
the fat of the beast that dieth of itself, and the fat of that which is torn
with beasts, may be used in any other use: but ye shall in no wise eat of it.
03-7:26 Moreover
ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in
any of your dwellings.
03-8:31 And
Moses said unto Aaron and to his sons, Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and there eat it with the bread that is in the basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying, Aaron
and his sons shall eat it.
03-10:12 And
Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were
left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made
by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the
altar: for it is most holy:
03-10:13 And
ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons’ due, of the
sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded.
03-10:14 And
the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat
in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons’ due, which are given out of the sacrifices of
peace offerings of the children of Israel.
03-11:2 Speak
unto the children of
03-11:3 Whatsoever
parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and
cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.
03-11:4 Nevertheless
these shall ye not eat of them that chew the
cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the
camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
03-11:8 Of
their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase
shall ye not touch; they are unclean
to you.
03-11:9 These
shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters,
in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
03-11:11 They
shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat
of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
03-11:21 Yet
these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing
that goeth upon all four, which have
legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;
03-11:22 Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust
after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his
kind.
03-11:39 And
if any beast, of which ye may eat, die; he that
toucheth the carcase thereof shall be unclean until the even.
03-11:42 Whatsoever
goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things
that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat;
for they are an abomination.
03-17:12 Therefore
I said unto the children of
03-17:14 For
it is the life of all flesh; the
blood of it is for the life thereof:
therefore I said unto the children of
03-19:25 And
in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit
thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am the LORD your God.
03-19:26 Ye
shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor
observe times.
03-21:22 He
shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.
03-22:4 What
man soever of the seed of Aaron is a
leper, or hath a running issue; he shall not eat
of the holy things, until he be clean. And whoso toucheth any thing that is unclean by the dead, or a man whose seed goeth from him;
03-22:6 The
soul which hath touched any such shall be unclean until even, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he wash his flesh with
water.
03-22:7 And
when the sun is down, he shall be clean, and shall afterward eat of the holy things; because it is his food.
03-22:8 That
which dieth of itself, or is torn with
beasts, he shall not eat to defile himself
therewith: I am the LORD.
03-22:10 There
shall no stranger eat of the holy thing: a sojourner of the priest, or an hired servant,
shall not eat of the holy thing.
03-22:11 But
if the priest buy any soul with his
money, he shall eat of it, and he that is born
in his house: they shall eat of his meat.
03-22:12 If
the priest’s daughter also be married unto
a stranger, she may not eat of an offering of
the holy things.
03-22:13 But
if the priest’s daughter be a widow, or divorced, and have no child, and is
returned unto her father’s house, as in her youth, she shall eat of her father’s meat: but there shall no stranger eat thereof.
03-22:14 And
if a man eat of
the holy thing unwittingly, then he shall put the fifth part thereof unto it, and shall give it unto the priest with the holy thing.
03-22:16 Or
suffer them to bear the iniquity of trespass, when they eat their holy things: for I the LORD do sanctify them.
03-23:6 And
on the fifteenth day of the same month is
the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.
03-23:14 And
ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn,
nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto
your God: it shall be a statute for
ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
03-24:9 And
it shall be Aaron’s and his sons’; and they shall eat
it in the holy place: for it is most
holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.
03-25:12 For
it is the jubile; it shall be holy
unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out
of the field.
03-25:19 And
the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat
your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
03-25:20 And
if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh
year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:
03-25:22 And
ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year;
until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.
03-26:5 And
your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto
the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to
the full, and dwell in your land safely.
03-26:10 And
ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old
because of the new.
03-26:16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint
over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the
eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your
enemies shall eat it.
03-26:26 And when I have broken the staff of your
bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye
shall eat, and not be satisfied.
03-26:29 And
ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the
flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.
03-26:38 And
ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.
04-6:3 He
shall separate himself from wine and
strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink,
neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat
moist grapes, or dried.
04-6:4 All
the days of his separation shall he eat nothing
that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels even to the husk.
04-9:11 The
fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat
it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
04-11:4 And
the mixt multitude that was among
them fell a lusting: and the children of
04-11:5 We
remember the fish, which we did eat in
04-11:13 Whence should I have flesh to give unto all this
people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.
04-11:18 And
say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying,
Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in
04-11:19 Ye
shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five
days, neither ten days, nor twenty days;
04-11:21 And
Moses said, The people, among whom I am,
are six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them
flesh, that they may eat a whole month.
04-15:19 Then
it shall be, that, when ye eat of the bread of the
land, ye shall offer up an heave offering unto the LORD.
04-18:10 In
the most holy place shalt thou eat it; every male shall eat
it: it shall be holy unto thee.
04-18:11 And
this is thine; the heave offering of
their gift, with all the wave offerings of the children of
04-18:13 And whatsoever is first ripe in the land, which they
shall bring unto the LORD, shall be thine; every one that is clean in
thine house shall eat of it.
04-18:31 And
ye shall eat it in every place, ye and your
households: for it is your reward for
your service in the tabernacle of the congregation.
04-23:24 Behold,
the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion:
he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the
slain.
04-24:8 God
brought him forth out of
04-25:2 And
they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.
05-2:6 Ye
shall buy meat of them for money, that ye may eat;
and ye shall also buy water of them for money, that ye may drink.
05-2:28 Thou shalt sell me meat for money, that I may eat; and give me water for money, that I may drink:
only I will pass through on my feet;
05-4:28 And
there ye shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which
neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
05-8:9 A
land wherein thou shalt eat bread without
scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing
in it; a land whose stones are iron,
and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.
05-9:9 When
I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which
the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights,
I neither did eat bread nor drink water:
05-9:18 And
I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I
did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of
all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to
provoke him to anger.
05-11:15 And
I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.
05-12:7 And
there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and
ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households,
wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.
05-12:15 Notwithstanding
thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates,
whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy
God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart.
05-12:16 Only
ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it
upon the earth as water.
05-12:17 Thou
mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy
corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy
flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill offerings, or
heave offering of thine hand:
05-12:18 But
thou must eat them before the LORD thy God in
the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy
daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt
rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.
05-12:20 When
the LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou
shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul
longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.
05-12:21 If
the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far
from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the LORD
hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.
05-12:22 Even
as the roebuck and the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat
them: the unclean and the clean shall eat of them alike.
05-12:23 Only
be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the
blood is the life; and thou mayest
not eat the life with the flesh.
05-12:24 Thou
shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the
earth as water.
05-12:25 Thou
shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee,
and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.
05-12:27 And
thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar
of the LORD thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon
the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat
the flesh.
05-14:3 Thou
shalt not eat any abominable thing.
05-14:4 These
are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
05-14:6 And
every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud among the beasts,
that ye shall eat.
05-14:7 Nevertheless
these ye shall not eat of them that chew the
cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud,
but divide not the hoof; therefore they
are unclean unto you.
05-14:8 And
the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean
unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor
touch their dead carcase.
05-14:9 These
ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
05-14:10 And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not
eat; it is
unclean unto you.
05-14:11 Of all clean birds ye shall eat.
05-14:12 But
these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
05-14:20 But of all clean fowls ye may eat.
05-14:21 Ye
shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the
stranger that is in thy gates, that
he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an
alien: for thou art an holy people unto
the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
05-14:23 And
thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the
place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of
thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks;
that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
05-14:26 And
thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen,
or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul
desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the
LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
05-14:29 And
the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the
stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all
the work of thine hand which thou doest.
05-15:20 Thou
shalt eat it
before the LORD thy God year by year in the place which the LORD shall choose,
thou and thy household.
05-15:22 Thou
shalt eat it within thy gates: the unclean and
the clean person shall eat it alike, as the roebuck, and as the hart.
05-15:23 Only
thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt
pour it upon the ground as water.
05-16:3 Thou
shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days
shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction: for thou
camest forth out of the
05-16:7 And
thou shalt roast and eat it in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose: and thou shalt
turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents.
05-16:8 Six
days thou shalt eat unleavened bread: and on the
seventh day shall be a solemn
assembly to the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work therein.
05-18:1 The
priests the Levites, and all the
tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with
05-18:8 They
shall have like portions to eat, beside that
which cometh of the sale of his patrimony.
05-20:6 And
what man is he that hath planted a
vineyard, and hath not yet eaten of
it? let him also go and return unto
his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man eat
of it.
05-20:14 But
the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou
take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil
of thine enemies, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.
05-20:19 When
thou shalt besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it,
thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an ax against them: for
thou mayest eat of them, and thou shalt not cut
them down (for the tree of the field is man’s
life) to employ them in the siege:
05-23:24 When
thou comest into thy neighbour’s vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou
shalt not put any in thy vessel.
05-26:12 When
thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third
year, which is the year of tithing,
and hast given it unto the Levite,
the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;
05-27:7 And
thou shalt offer peace offerings, and shalt eat
there, and rejoice before the LORD thy God.
05-28:31 Thine
ox shall be slain before thine eyes,
and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from
before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and
thou shalt have none to rescue them.
05-28:33 The
fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed
alway:
05-28:39 Thou
shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but
shalt neither drink of the wine, nor
gather the grapes; for the worms
shall eat them.
05-28:51 And
he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the
fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either
corn, wine, or oil, or the
increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
05-28:53 And
thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the
flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee,
in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress
thee:
05-28:55 So
that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall
eat: because he hath nothing left him in the
siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in
all thy gates.
05-28:57 And
toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her
children which she shall bear: for she shall eat
them for want of all things secretly
in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy
gates.
05-32:13 He
made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to
suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;
05-32:38 Which
did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink
offerings? let them rise up and help you, and
be your protection.
06-5:11 And
they did eat of the old corn of the land on the
morrow after the passover, unleavened cakes, and parched corn in the selfsame day.
06-5:12 And
the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the
land; neither had the children of
06-24:13 And
I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built
not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not
do ye eat.
07-9:27 And
they went out into the fields, and gathered their vineyards, and trode the grapes, and made merry, and went
into the house of their god, and did eat and
drink, and cursed Abimelech.
07-13:4 Now
therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:
07-13:7 But
he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no
wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a Nazarite
to God from the womb to the day of his death.
07-13:14 She
may not eat of any thing that cometh of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong
drink, nor eat any unclean thing: all that I commanded her let her observe.
07-13:16 And
the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt
offering, thou must offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD.
07-14:9 And
he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and
mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but
he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion.
07-19:4 And
his father in law, the damsel’s father, retained him; and he abode with him
three days: so they did eat and drink, and
lodged there.
07-19:6 And
they sat down, and did eat and drink both of
them together: for the damsel’s father had said unto the man, Be content, I
pray thee, and tarry all night, and let thine heart be merry.
07-19:8 And
he arose early in the morning on the fifth day to depart: and the damsel’s
father said, Comfort thine heart, I pray thee. And they tarried until
afternoon, and they did eat both of them.
07-19:21 So
he brought him into his house, and gave provender unto the asses: and they
washed their feet, and did eat and drink.
08-2:14 And
Boaz said unto her, At mealtime come thou hither, and eat
of the bread, and dip thy morsel in the vinegar. And she sat beside the
reapers: and he reached her parched corn,
and she did eat, and was sufficed, and left.
09-1:7 And
as he did so year by year, when she
went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and
did not eat.
09-1:18 And
she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her
way, and did eat, and her countenance was no
more sad.
09-2:36 And
it shall come to pass, that every one
that is left in thine house shall come and
crouch to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and shall say,
Put me, I pray thee, into one of the priests’ offices, that I may eat a piece of bread.
09-9:13 As
soon as ye be come into the city, ye shall straightway find him, before he go up
to the high place to eat: for the people will
not eat until he come, because he doth bless the
sacrifice; and afterwards they eat that be bidden. Now therefore get you up; for
about this time ye shall find him.
09-9:19 And
Samuel answered Saul, and said, I am the
seer: go up before me unto the high place; for ye shall eat with me to day, and to morrow I will let thee go, and will tell
thee all that is in thine heart.
09-9:24 And
the cook took up the shoulder, and that which
was upon it, and set it before Saul. And Samuel said, Behold that which is left! set it before thee, and eat: for unto this time hath it been kept for thee
since I said, I have invited the people. So Saul did eat
with Samuel that day.
09-14:32 And
the people flew upon the spoil, and took sheep, and oxen, and calves, and slew them on the ground: and the people did eat them with
the blood.
09-14:33 Then
they told Saul, saying, Behold, the people sin against the LORD, in that they eat with the blood. And he said, Ye have transgressed:
roll a great stone unto me this day.
09-14:34 And
Saul said, Disperse yourselves among the people, and say unto them, Bring me
hither every man his ox, and every man his sheep, and slay them here, and eat; and sin not
against the LORD in eating with the blood. And all the people brought every man
his ox with him that night, and slew them
there.
09-20:24 So
David hid himself in the field: and when the new moon was come, the king sat
him down to eat meat.
09-20:34 So
Jonathan arose from the table in fierce anger, and did eat
no meat the second day of the month: for he was grieved for David, because his
father had done him shame.
09-28:22 Now
therefore, I pray thee, hearken thou also unto the voice of thine handmaid, and
let me set a morsel of bread before thee; and eat,
that thou mayest have strength, when thou goest on thy way.
09-28:23 But
he refused, and said, I will not eat. But his
servants, together with the woman, compelled him; and he hearkened unto their
voice. So he arose from the earth, and sat upon the bed.
09-28:25 And
she brought it before Saul, and
before his servants; and they did eat. Then they
rose up, and went away that night.
09-30:11 And
they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him
bread, and he did eat; and they made him drink
water;
10-3:35 And
when all the people came to cause David to eat
meat while it was yet day, David sware, saying, So do God to me, and more also,
if I taste bread, or ought else, till the sun be down.
10-9:7 And
David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for
Jonathan thy father’s sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy
father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table
continually.
10-9:10 Thou
therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land for him, and
thou shalt bring in the fruits, that
thy master’s son may have food to eat: but
Mephibosheth thy master’s son shall eat bread
alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
10-9:11 Then
said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded
his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my
table, as one of the king’s sons.
10-9:13 So
Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eat
continually at the king’s table; and was lame on both his feet.
10-11:11 And
Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my
lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall
I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink,
and to lie with my wife? as thou
livest, and as thy soul liveth, I
will not do this thing.
10-11:13 And
when David had called him, he did eat and drink
before him; and he made him drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed
with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house.
10-12:3 But
the poor man had nothing, save one
little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together
with him, and with his children; it did eat of
his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him
as a daughter.
10-12:17 And
the elders of his house arose, and went to
him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them.
10-12:20 Then
David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the
LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they
set bread before him, and he did eat.
10-12:21 Then
said his servants unto him, What thing is
this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child
was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.
10-13:5 And
Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and
when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister
Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat
it at her hand.
10-13:6 So
Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him,
Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a
couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at
her hand.
10-13:9 And
she took a pan, and poured them out
before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon
said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.
10-13:10 And
Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she
had made, and brought them into the
chamber to Amnon her brother.
10-13:11 And
when she had brought them unto him to
eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her,
Come lie with me, my sister.
10-16:2 And
the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The asses be for the king’s household to ride on;
and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat;
and the wine, that such as be faint in the wilderness may drink.
10-17:29 And
honey, and butter, and sheep, and cheese of kine, for David, and for the people
that were with him, to eat: for they said, The people is hungry, and weary, and thirsty, in the wilderness.
10-19:28 For
all of my father’s house were but
dead men before my lord the king: yet didst thou set thy servant among them
that did eat at thine own table. What right
therefore have I yet to cry any more unto the king?
10-19:35 I
am this day fourscore years old: and can I discern between good and evil?
can thy servant taste what I eat or what I
drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women?
wherefore then should thy servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?
11-1:25 For
he is gone down this day, and hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in
abundance, and hath called all the king’s sons, and the captains of the host,
and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they eat
and drink before him, and say, God save king Adonijah.
11-2:7 But
shew kindness unto the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them be of
those that eat at thy table: for so they came to
me when I fled because of Absalom thy brother.
11-13:8 And
the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I
will not go in with thee, neither will I eat
bread nor drink water in this place:
11-13:9 For
so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat
no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest.
11-13:15 Then
he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat
bread.
11-13:16 And
he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place:
11-13:17 For
it was said to me by the word of the LORD, Thou shalt eat
no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou
camest.
11-13:18 He
said unto him, I am a prophet also as
thou art; and an angel spake unto me
by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house,
that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.
11-13:19 So
he went back with him, and did eat bread in his
house, and drank water.
11-13:22 But
camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the LORD did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall
not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.
11-14:11 Him
that dieth of Jeroboam in the city shall the dogs eat;
and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat: for the LORD hath spoken it.
11-16:4 Him
that dieth of Baasha in the city shall the dogs eat;
and him that dieth of his in the fields shall the fowls of the air eat.
11-17:12 And
she said, As the LORD thy God liveth,
I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a
cruse: and, behold, I am gathering
two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
11-17:15 And
she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her
house, did eat many days.
11-18:19 Now
therefore send, and gather to me all
Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and
the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat
at Jezebel’s table.
11-18:41 And
Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and
drink; for there is a sound of
abundance of rain.
11-18:42 So
Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah
went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put
his face between his knees,
11-19:5 And
as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and
said unto him, Arise and eat.
11-19:6 And
he looked, and, behold, there was a
cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.
11-19:7 And
the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said,
Arise and eat;
because the journey is too great for
thee.
11-19:8 And
he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the
strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.
11-19:21 And
he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled
their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and
they did eat. Then he arose, and went after
Elijah, and ministered unto him.
11-21:4 And
Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth
the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the
inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away
his face, and would eat no bread.
11-21:7 And
Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel?
arise, and eat
bread, and let thine heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth
the Jezreelite.
11-21:23 And
of Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat
Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.
11-21:24 Him
that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat;
and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat.

it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so
it was, that as oft as he passed
by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
12-4:40 So
they poured out for the men to eat. And it came
to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.
12-4:41 But
he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into
the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot.
12-4:42 And
there came a man from Baalshalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the
firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk
thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat.
12-4:43 And
his servitor said, What, should I set this before an hundred men? He said
again, Give the people, that they may eat: for
thus saith the LORD, They shall eat, and shall
leave thereof.
12-4:44 So
he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof,
according to the word of the LORD.
12-6:22 And
he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wouldest
thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow?
set bread and water before them, that they may eat
and drink, and go to their master.
12-6:28 And
the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said
unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to
day, and we will eat my son to morrow.
12-6:29 So
we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said
unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat
him: and she hath hid her son.
12-7:2 Then
a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold,
if the LORD would make windows in
heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
12-7:8 And
when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one
tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence
silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried
thence also, and went and hid it.
12-7:19 And
that lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if the LORD should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be?
And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
12-9:10 And
the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of
Jezreel, and there shall be none to
bury her. And he opened the door, and
fled.
12-9:34 And
when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and
said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and
bury her: for she is a king’s
daughter.
12-9:36 Wherefore
they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the
Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat
the flesh of Jezebel:
12-18:27 But
Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to
speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the
wall, that they may eat their own dung, and
drink their own piss with you?
12-18:31 Hearken
not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me, and then eat
ye every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every
one the waters of his cistern:
12-19:29 And
this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye
shall eat this year such things as grow of
themselves, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the
third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat
the fruits thereof.
12-23:9 Nevertheless
the priests of the high places came not up to the altar of the LORD in
Jerusalem, but they did eat of the unleavened
bread among their brethren.
12-25:29 And
changed his prison garments: and he did eat
bread continually before him all the days of his life.

did eat and drink before the LORD on that day
with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second
time, and anointed him unto the LORD to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.
14-28:15 And
the men which were expressed by name rose up, and took the captives, and with
the spoil clothed all that were naked among them, and arrayed them, and shod
them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and
anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them upon asses, and brought them
to Jericho, the city of palm trees, to their brethren: then they returned to
Samaria.
14-30:18 For
a multitude of the people, even many
of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves,
yet did they eat the passover otherwise than it
was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good LORD pardon every
one
14-30:22 And
Hezekiah spake comfortably unto all the Levites that taught the good knowledge
of the LORD: and they did eat throughout the
feast seven days, offering peace offerings, and making confession to the LORD
God of their fathers.
14-31:10 And
Azariah the chief priest of the house of Zadok answered him, and said, Since the people began to bring the offerings into
the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat,
and have left plenty: for the LORD hath blessed his people; and that which is
left is this great store.
15-2:63 And
the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat
of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with
Thummim.
15-6:21 And
the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as
had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the
land, to seek the LORD God of Israel, did eat,
15-9:12 Now
therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters
unto your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth for ever: that ye may be
strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children
for ever.
15-10:6 Then
Ezra rose up from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Johanan
the son of Eliashib: and when he came
thither, he did eat no bread, nor drink water:
for he mourned because of the transgression of them that had been carried away.
16-5:2 For
there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live.
16-7:65 And
the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat
of the most holy things, till there stood up
a priest with Urim and Thummim.
16-8:10 Then
he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and
drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD
is your strength.
16-8:12 And
all the people went their way to eat, and to
drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had
understood the words that were declared unto them.
16-9:25 And
they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all
goods, wells digged, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance:
so they did eat, and were filled, and became
fat, and delighted themselves in thy great goodness.
16-9:36 Behold,
we are servants this day, and for the land that thou gavest unto our
fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good
thereof, behold, we are servants in
it:
17-4:16 Go,
gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me,
and neither eat nor drink three days, night or
day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the
king, which is not according to the
law: and if I perish, I perish.
18-1:4 And
his sons went and feasted in their houses,
every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.
18-3:24 For
my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings
are poured out like the waters.
18-31:8 Then let me sow, and let another eat; yea, let my offspring be rooted out.
18-42:11 Then
came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that
had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat
bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all
the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of
money, and every one an earring of gold.
19-14:4 Have
all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat
up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.
19-22:26 The
meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall
praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
19-22:29 All
they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust
shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.
19-27:2 When
the wicked, even mine enemies and my
foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they
stumbled and fell.
19-41:9 Yea,
mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat
of my bread, hath lifted up his heel
against me.
19-50:13 Will
I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of
goats?
19-53:4 Have
the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up
my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.
19-78:24 And
had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had
given them of the corn of heaven.
19-78:25 Man
did eat angels’ food: he sent them meat to the
full.
19-78:29 So
they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave
them their own desire;
19-102:4 My
heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.
19-105:35 And
did eat up all the herbs in their land, and
devoured the fruit of their ground.
19-127:2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to
sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
19-128:2 For
thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well
with thee.
19-141:4 Incline
not my heart to any evil thing, to
practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.
20-1:31 Therefore
shall they eat of the fruit of their own way,
and be filled with their own devices.
20-4:17 For
they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the
wine of violence.
20-9:5 Come,
eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
20-13:2 A
man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the
transgressors shall eat violence.
20-18:21 Death
and life are in the power of the
tongue: and they that love it shall eat the
fruit thereof.
20-23:1 When
thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider
diligently what is before thee:
20-23:6 Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats:
20-23:7 For
as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:
Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
20-24:13 My
son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:
20-25:16 Hast
thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for
thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.
20-25:21 If
thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat;
and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:
20-25:27 It is not good to eat much honey: so for
men to search their own glory is not glory.
20-27:18 Whoso
keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit
thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured.
20-30:17 The
eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley
shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat
it.
21-2:24 There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that
he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.
21-2:25 For
who can eat, or who else can hasten hereunto, more than I?
21-3:13 And
also that every man should eat and drink, and
enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the
gift of God.
21-5:11 When
goods increase, they are increased that eat
them: and what good is there to the owners
thereof, saving the beholding of them with
their eyes?
21-5:12 The
sleep of a labouring man is sweet,
whether he eat little or much: but the abundance
of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.
21-5:18 Behold
that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat
and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the
sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion.
21-5:19 Every
man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice
in his labour; this is the gift of
God.
21-6:2 A
man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth
nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.
21-8:15 Then
I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall
abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under
the sun.
21-9:7 Go
thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy
wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
21-10:16 Woe
to thee, O land, when thy king is a
child, and thy princes eat in the morning!
21-10:17 Blessed
art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for
drunkenness!
22-4:16 Awake,
O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his
garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.
22-5:1 I
am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse:
I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my
honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O
friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved.
23-1:19 If
ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the
good of the land:
23-3:10 Say
ye to the righteous, that it shall be well
with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
23-4:1 And
in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let
us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.
23-5:17 Then
shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones
shall strangers eat.
23-7:15 Butter
and honey shall he eat, that he may know to
refuse the evil, and choose the good.
23-7:22 And
it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give he shall eat
butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat
that is left in the land.
23-9:20 And
he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied:
they shall eat every man the flesh of his own
arm:
23-11:7 And
the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and
the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
23-21:5 Prepare
the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink:
arise, ye princes, and anoint the
shield.
23-22:13 And
behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and
drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for to
morrow we shall die.
23-23:18 And
her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be
treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before
the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable
clothing.
23-30:24 The
oxen likewise and the young asses that ear the ground shall eat clean provender, which hath been winnowed with the
shovel and with the fan.
23-36:12 But
Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these
words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall,
that they may eat their own dung, and drink
their own piss with you?
23-36:16 Hearken
not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a
present, and come out to me: and eat ye every
one of his vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the
waters of his own cistern;
23-37:30 And
this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye
shall eat this
year such as groweth of itself; and the second year that which springeth of
the same: and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof.
23-50:9 Behold,
the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all
shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat
them up.
23-51:8 For
the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and
the worm shall eat them like wool: but my
righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to
generation.
23-55:1 Ho,
every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money;
come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and
milk without money and without price.
23-55:2 Wherefore
do ye spend money for that which is not
bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth
not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight
itself in fatness.
23-61:6 But
ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men
shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat
the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.
23-62:9 But
they that have gathered it shall eat it and
praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the
courts of my holiness.
23-65:4 Which
remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
23-65:13 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat,
but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be
thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:
23-65:21 And
they shall build houses, and inhabit them;
and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the
fruit of them.
23-65:22 They
shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work
of their hands.
23-65:25 The
wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall
not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
24-2:7 And
I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat
the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my
land, and made mine heritage an abomination.
24-5:17 And
they shall eat up thine harvest, and thy bread, which thy sons and thy daughters should eat: they shall eat up
thy flocks and thine herds: they shall eat up
thy vines and thy fig trees: they shall impoverish thy fenced cities, wherein
thou trustedst, with the sword.
24-7:21 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your
sacrifices, and eat flesh.
24-15:16 Thy
words were found, and I did eat them; and thy
word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy
name, O LORD God of hosts.
24-16:8 Thou
shalt not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink.
24-19:9 And
I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons
and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat
every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness, wherewith their
enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them.
24-22:15 Shalt
thou reign, because thou closest thyself in
cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do
judgment and justice, and then it was well with him?
24-22:22 The
wind shall eat up all thy pastors, and thy
lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and
confounded for all thy wickedness.
24-29:5 Build
ye houses, and dwell in them; and
plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;
24-29:28 For
therefore he sent unto us in Babylon,
saying, This captivity is long: build
ye houses, and dwell in them; and
plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
24-31:5 Thou
shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant,
and shall eat them as common things.
24-41:1 Now
it came to pass in the seventh month, that
Ishmael the son of Nethaniah the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, and
the princes of the king, even ten men with him, came unto Gedaliah the son of
Ahikam to Mizpah; and there they did eat bread
together in Mizpah.
24-52:33 And
changed his prison garments: and he did continually eat
bread before him all the days of his life.
25-2:20 Behold,
O LORD, and consider to whom thou hast done this. Shall the women eat their fruit, and
children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the
sanctuary of the Lord?
26-2:8 But
thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that
rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I
give thee.
26-3:1 Moreover
he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou
findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the
house of Israel.
26-3:2 So
I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that
roll.
26-3:3 And
he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat,
and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and
it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.
26-4:9 Take
thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and
fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that
thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.
26-4:10 And
thy meat which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a
day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.
26-4:12 And
thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out
of man, in their sight.
26-4:13 And
the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat
their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them.
26-4:16 Moreover
he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in
Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight,
and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:
26-5:10 Therefore
the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of
thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and
I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter
into all the winds.
26-12:18 Son
of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink
thy water with trembling and with carefulness;
26-12:19 And
say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of
Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel;
They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and
drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all
that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.
26-16:13 Thus
wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast
exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.
26-22:9 In
thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they
commit lewdness.
26-24:17 Forbear
to cry, make no mourning for the dead, bind the tire of thine head upon thee,
and put on thy shoes upon thy feet, and cover not thy lips, and eat not the bread of
men.
26-24:22 And
ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of men.
26-25:4 Behold,
therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the east for a possession, and they
shall set their palaces in thee, and make their dwellings in thee: they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.
26-33:25 Wherefore
say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Ye eat
with the blood, and lift up your eyes toward your idols, and shed blood: and
shall ye possess the land?
26-34:3 Ye
eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye
kill them that are fed: but ye feed
not the flock.
26-34:19 And
as for my flock, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet; and
they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet.
26-39:17 And,
thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and
to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves
on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.
26-39:18 Ye
shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the
blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of
bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
26-39:19 And
ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink
blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
26-42:13 Then
said he unto me, The north chambers and the
south chambers, which are before the
separate place, they be holy
chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the
most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass
offering; for the place is holy.
26-44:3 It is for the prince; the prince, he
shall sit in it to eat bread before the LORD; he
shall enter by the way of the porch of that
gate, and shall go out by the way of the same.
26-44:29 They
shall eat the meat offering, and the sin
offering, and the trespass offering: and every dedicated thing in Israel shall
be theirs.
26-44:31 The
priests shall not eat of any thing that is dead
of itself, or torn, whether it be fowl or beast.
27-1:12 Prove
thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.
27-1:13 Then
let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the
children that eat of the portion of the king’s
meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants.
27-1:15 And
at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh
than all the children which did eat the portion
of the king’s meat.
27-4:25 That
they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of
the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass
as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall
pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men,
and giveth it to whomsoever he will.
27-4:32 And
they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over
thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and
giveth it to whomsoever he will.
27-4:33 The
same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from
men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was
wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws.
28-2:12 And
I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given
me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.
28-4:8 They
eat up the sin of my people, and they set their
heart on their iniquity.
28-4:10 For
they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall
commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take
heed to the LORD.
28-8:13 They
sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of
mine offerings, and eat it; but the LORD accepteth them not; now will he remember their
iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.
28-9:3 They
shall not dwell in the LORD’S land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they
shall eat unclean things in Assyria.
28-9:4 They
shall not offer wine offerings to the
LORD, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of
mourners; all that eat thereof shall be
polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the
LORD.
29-2:26 And
ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and
praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and
my people shall never be ashamed.
30-6:4 That
lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of
the midst of the stall;
30-7:4 Thus
hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend
by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat
up a part.
30-7:12 Also
Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah,
and there eat bread, and prophesy there:
30-9:14 And
I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build
the waste cities, and inhabit them; and
they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make
gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
31-1:7 All
the men of thy confederacy have brought thee even to the border: the men that were at peace with thee have
deceived thee, and prevailed against
thee; they that eat
thy bread have laid a wound under thee: there
is none understanding in him.
33-3:3 Who
also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their
skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for
the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.
33-6:14 Thou
shalt eat, but not be satisfied; and thy casting
down shall be in the midst of thee;
and thou shalt take hold, but shalt not deliver; and that which thou deliverest will I give up to the sword.
33-7:1 Woe
is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the
grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no
cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe
fruit.
34-3:15 There
shall the fire devour thee; the sword shall cut thee off, it shall eat thee up like the cankerworm: make thyself many as
the cankerworm, make thyself many as the locusts.
35-1:8 Their
horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening
wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall
come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that
hasteth to eat.
37-1:6 Ye
have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but
ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you,
but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.
38-7:6 And
when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not
ye eat for
yourselves, and drink for yourselves?
38-11:9 Then
said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to
be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat
every one the flesh of another.
38-11:16 For,
lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which
shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one,
nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in
pieces.
40-6:25 Therefore
I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body,
what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than
raiment?
40-6:31 Therefore
take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or,
What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
40-12:1 At
that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples
were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
40-12:4 How
he entered into the house of God, and did eat
the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat,
neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
40-14:16 But
Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.
40-14:20 And
they did all eat, and were filled: and they took
up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
40-15:2 Why
do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not
their hands when they eat bread.
40-15:20 These
are the things which defile a man:
but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a
man.
40-15:27 And
she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the
crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
40-15:32 Then
Jesus called his disciples unto him, and
said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now
three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will
not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
40-15:37 And
they did all eat, and were filled: and they took
up of the broken meat that was left seven
baskets full.
40-15:38 And
they that did eat were four thousand men, beside
women and children.
40-24:49 And
shall begin to smite his fellowservants,
and to eat and drink with the drunken;
40-26:17 Now
the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples
came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?
40-26:21 And
as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you,
that one of you shall betray me.
40-26:26 And
as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and
gave it to the disciples, and said,
Take, eat; this is my body.
41-1:6 And
John was clothed with camel’s hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his
loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;
41-2:16 And
when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with
publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth
and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
41-2:26 How
he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which
were with him?
41-3:20 And
the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
41-5:43 And
he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that
something should be given her to eat.
41-6:31 And
he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a
while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as
to eat.
41-6:36 Send
them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the
villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.
41-6:37 He
answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat.
And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and
give them to eat?
41-6:42 And
they did all eat, and were filled.
41-6:44 And
they that did eat of the loaves were about five
thousand men.
41-7:2 And
when they saw some of his disciples eat bread
with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.
41-7:3 For
the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding
the tradition of the elders.
41-7:4 And
when they come from the market, except
they wash, they eat not. And many other things
there be, which they have received to hold, as
the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.
41-7:5 Then
the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to
the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with
unwashen hands?
41-7:28 And
she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs.
41-8:1 In
those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them,
41-8:2 I
have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three
days, and have nothing to eat:
41-8:8 So
they did eat, and were filled: and they took up
of the broken meat that was left
seven baskets.
41-11:14 And
Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat
fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
41-14:12 And
the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples
said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?
41-14:14 And
wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master
saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat
the passover with my disciples?
41-14:18 And
as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I
say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.
41-14:22 And
as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed,
and brake it, and gave to them, and
said, Take, eat: this is my body.
42-4:2 Being
forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward
hungered.
42-5:30 But
their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
42-5:33 And
they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers,
and likewise the disciples of the
Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?
42-6:1 And
it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the
corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them
in their hands.
42-6:4 How
he went into the house of God, and did take and eat
the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful
to eat but for the priests alone?
42-7:36 And
one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat
with him. And he went into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to meat.
42-9:13 But
he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they
said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and
buy meat for all this people.
42-9:17 And
they did eat, and were all filled: and there was
taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.
42-10:8 And
into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat
such things as are set before you:
42-12:19 And
I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take
thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
42-12:22 And
he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your
life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body,
what ye shall put on.
42-12:29 And
seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink,
neither be ye of doubtful mind.
42-12:45 But
and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall
begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat
and drink, and to be drunken;
42-14:1 And
it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him.
42-14:15 And
when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto
him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.
42-15:16 And
he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
42-15:23 And
bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it;
and let us eat, and be merry:
42-17:8 And
will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself,
and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
42-17:27 They
did eat, they drank, they married wives, they
were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the
flood came, and destroyed them all.
42-17:28 Likewise
also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat,
they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
42-22:8 And
he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.
42-22:11 And
ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where
is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the
passover with my disciples?
42-22:15 And
he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat
this passover with you before I suffer:
42-22:16 For
I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof,
until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
42-22:30 That
ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and
sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
42-24:43 And
he took it, and did eat before them.
43-4:31 In
the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.
43-4:32 But
he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye
know not of.
43-4:33 Therefore
said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?
43-6:5 When
Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and
saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy
bread, that these may eat?
43-6:23 (Howbeit
there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:)
43-6:26 Jesus
answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because
ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of
the loaves, and were filled.
43-6:31 Our
fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is
written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
43-6:49 Your
fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are
dead.
43-6:50 This
is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
43-6:51 I
am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the
bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the
world.
43-6:52 The
Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
43-6:53 Then
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood,
ye have no life in you.
43-6:58 This
is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread
shall live for ever.
43-18:28 Then
led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and
they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled;
but that they might eat the passover.
44-2:46 And
they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from
house to house, did eat their meat with gladness
and singleness of heart,
44-9:9 And
he was three days without sight, and neither did eat
nor drink.
44-10:13 And
there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
44-10:41 Not
to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.

Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat
with them.

I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.
44-23:12 And
when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves
under a curse, saying that they would neither eat
nor drink till they had killed Paul.
44-23:14 And
they came to the chief priests and elders, and said, We have bound ourselves
under a great curse, that we will eat nothing
until we have slain Paul.
44-23:21 But
do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than
forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are
they ready, looking for a promise from thee.
44-27:35 And
when he had thus spoken, he took bread, and gave thanks to God in presence of
them all: and when he had broken it, he
began to eat.
45-14:2 For
one believeth that he may eat all things:
another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
45-14:21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made
weak.
45-14:23 And
he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
46-5:11 But
now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a
brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a
drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
46-8:7 Howbeit
there is not in every man that
knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a
thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.
46-8:8 But
meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat,
are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are
we the worse.
46-8:10 For
if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple,
shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;
46-8:13 Wherefore,
if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no
flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.
46-9:4 Have
we not power to eat and to drink?
46-10:3 And
did all eat the same spiritual meat;
46-10:7 Neither
be ye idolaters, as were some of
them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat
and drink, and rose up to play.
46-10:18 Behold
Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat
of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
46-10:25 Whatsoever
is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:
46-10:27 If
any of them that believe not bid you to a
feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
46-10:28 But
if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for
conscience sake: for the earth is the
Lord’s, and the fulness thereof:
46-10:31 Whether
therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do,
do all to the glory of God.
46-11:20 When
ye come together therefore into one place, this
is not to eat the Lord’s supper.
46-11:22 What?
have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or
despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to
you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you
not.
46-11:24 And
when he had given thanks, he brake it, and
said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is
broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
46-11:26 For
as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this
cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
46-11:27 Wherefore
whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall
be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
46-11:28 But
let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of
that bread, and drink of that cup.
46-11:33 Wherefore,
my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry
one for another.
46-11:34 And
if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye
come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I
come.

after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth
it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and
drink; for to morrow we die.

before that certain came from James, he did eat
with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself,
fearing them which were of the circumcision.
53-3:8 Neither
did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but
wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable
to any of you:
53-3:10 For
even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work,
neither should he eat.
53-3:12 Now
them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with
quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
55-2:17 And
their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is
Hymenaeus and Philetus;

have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat
which serve the tabernacle.
59-5:3 Your
gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against
you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire.
Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
66-2:7 He
that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him
that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree
of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
66-2:14 But
I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the
doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the
children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed
unto idols, and to commit fornication.
66-2:17 He
that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him
that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden
manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written,
which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
66-2:20 Notwithstanding
I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel,
which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to
commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed
unto idols.
66-10:9 And
I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto
me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it
shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and
shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat
her flesh, and burn her with fire.
66-19:18 That
ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of
captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them
that sit on them, and the flesh of all men,
both free and bond, both small and great.
