the Sabeans fell upon them, and took

21-10:10 If
the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge,
then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.
24-21:7 And
afterward, saith the LORD, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his
servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the
pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of
Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into
the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither
have pity, nor have mercy.
24-31:29 In
those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the
children’s teeth are set on edge.
24-31:30 But
every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape,
his teeth shall be set on edge.
26-18:2 What
mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The
fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge?
26-43:13 And
these are the measures of the altar
after the cubits: The cubit is a
cubit and an hand breadth; even the bottom shall
be a cubit, and the breadth a cubit, and the border thereof by the edge thereof round about shall be a span: and this shall
be the higher place of the altar.

he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given

47-13:10 Therefore
I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness,

Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

45-14:19 Let us therefore

52-5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying

46-14:26 How
is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm,
hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let
all things be done unto edifying.

think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for
your edifying.

maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of
itself in love.

corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the
use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto
the hearers.

give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather
than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

to the border of Edom the

06-15:21 And the
uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and

07-5:4 LORD,
when thou wentest out of Seir, when thou marchedst out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the
heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water.
07-11:17 Then
Israel sent messengers unto the king of Edom, saying, Let me, I pray thee, pass through thy
land: but the king of Edom would
not hearken thereto. And in like
manner they sent unto the king of Moab: but he would not consent: and Israel abode in Kadesh.
07-11:18 Then
they went along through the wilderness, and compassed the land of Edom, and the land of Moab, and
came by the east side of the land of Moab, and pitched on the other side of
Arnon, but came not within the border of Moab: for Arnon was the border of Moab.
09-14:47 So
Saul took the kingdom over Israel, and fought against all his enemies on every
side, against Moab, and against the children of Ammon, and against Edom, and against the kings of
Zobah, and against the Philistines: and whithersoever he turned himself, he
vexed them.
10-8:14 And
he put garrisons in Edom;
throughout all Edom put he
garrisons, and all they of Edom became
David’s servants. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
11-9:26 And
king Solomon made a navy of ships in Eziongeber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red sea, in the land of Edom.
11-11:14 And
the LORD stirred up an adversary unto Solomon, Hadad the Edomite: he was of the king’s seed in Edom.
11-11:15 For
it came to pass, when David was in Edom, and Joab the captain of the host was gone up to

11-11:16 (For
six months did Joab remain there with all Israel, until he had cut off every

11-22:47 There was then no king in Edom: a deputy was king.

he said, Which way shall we go up? And he answered, The way through the

12-3:9 So
the king of Israel went, and the king of Judah, and the king of Edom: and they fetched a compass of

12-3:12 And

14-8:17 Then

14-25:20 But
Amaziah would not hear; for it came of
God, that he might deliver them into the hand of their enemies, because they sought after the gods of Edom.

Philistia, triumph thou because of me.
19-60:9 Who
will bring me into the strong city?
who will lead me into Edom?
19-83:6 The
tabernacles of Edom, and
the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
19-108:9 Moab is my

I triumph.
19-108:10 Who
will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
19-137:7 Remember,
O LORD, the children of Edom in the
day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase
it, even to the foundation thereof.
23-11:14 But
they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall
spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of
Ammon shall obey them.
23-63:1 Who

Bozrah? this that is glorious in his
apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in
righteousness, mighty to save.
24-9:26 Egypt,
and Judah, and Edom, and
the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that
are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.
24-25:21 Edom, and Moab, and the children of
Ammon,
24-27:3 And
send them to the king of Edom, and to
the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus,
and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem
unto Zedekiah king of Judah;
24-40:11 Likewise
when all the Jews that were in Moab,
and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and that were
in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of
Judah, and that he had set over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of
Shaphan;
24-49:7 Concerning
Edom, thus saith the LORD of hosts;
Is wisdom no more in Teman? is
counsel perished from the prudent? is their wisdom vanished?
24-49:17 Also
Edom shall be a desolation: every
one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues
thereof.
24-49:20 Therefore
hear the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he
hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock
shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them.
24-49:22 Behold,
he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread his wings over Bozrah: and at
that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
25-4:21 Rejoice
and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that
dwellest in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto thee: thou
shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked.
25-4:22 The
punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion; he will no
more carry thee away into captivity: he will visit thine iniquity, O daughter
of Edom; he will discover thy sins.
26-25:12 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking
vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;
26-25:13 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also stretch out mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and
beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall
fall by the sword.
26-25:14 And
I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do
in Edom according to mine anger and
according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord GOD.
26-32:29 There
is Edom, her kings, and all her princes, which with their
might are laid by them that were slain
by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with them that go down
to the pit.
27-11:41 He
shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his
hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
29-3:19 Egypt
shall be a desolation, and Edom shall
be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against
the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
30-1:6 Thus
saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn
away the punishment thereof; because
they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom:
30-1:9 Thus
saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not
turn away the punishment thereof;
because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:
30-1:11 Thus
saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did
pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did
tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:
30-2:1 Thus
saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn
away the punishment thereof; because
he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:
30-9:12 That
they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my
name, saith the LORD that doeth this.
31-1:1 The
vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an
ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her
in battle.
31-1:8 Shall
I not in that day, saith the LORD, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and
understanding out of the mount of Esau?
39-1:4 Whereas
Edom saith, We are impoverished,
but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts,
They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border
of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.

05-23:7 Thou
shalt not abhor an Edomite; for
he is thy brother: thou shalt not
abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.
09-21:7 Now
a certain man of the servants of Saul was
there that day, detained before the LORD; and his name was Doeg, an Edomite, the
chiefest of the herdmen that belonged to
Saul.
09-22:9 Then
answered Doeg the Edomite,
which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse
coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.
09-22:18 And
the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the
priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen
ephod.
09-22:22 And
David said unto Abiathar, I knew it that
day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell
Saul: I have occasioned the death of
all the persons of thy father’s house.
11-11:14 And
the LORD stirred up an adversary unto Solomon, Hadad the Edomite: he was of the king’s seed in Edom.

and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech.

01-36:9 And these are
the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:
01-36:43 Duke
Magdiel, duke Iram: these be the
dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession:
he is Esau the father of the Edomites.
11-11:1 But
king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh,
women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites,
Zidonians, and Hittites;
11-11:17 That
Hadad fled, he and certain Edomites of his father’s servants with him, to go into
Egypt; Hadad being yet a little
child.
12-8:21 So
Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night,
and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of
the chariots: and the people fled into their tents.
13-18:12 Moreover
Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in
the valley of salt eighteen thousand.
13-18:13 And
he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites
became David’s servants. Thus the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
14-21:8 In
his days the Edomites revolted from under the dominion of Judah, and
made themselves a king.
14-21:9 Then
Jehoram went forth with his princes, and all his chariots with him: and he rose
up by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him in, and the captains of
the chariots.
14-21:10 So
the Edomites revolted from under the hand of Judah unto
this day. The same time also did Libnah
revolt from under his hand; because he had forsaken the LORD God of his
fathers.
14-25:14 Now
it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites,
that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed down himself
before them, and burned incense unto them.
14-25:19 Thou
sayest, Lo, thou hast smitten the Edomites; and
thine heart lifteth thee up to boast: abide now at home; why shouldest thou
meddle to thine hurt, that thou
shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah
with thee?
14-28:17 For
again the Edomites had come and smitten Judah, and carried away
captives.

45-3:3 For what

45-4:14 For if

faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
45-9:6 Not as though

46-1:17 For
Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of
