evil.

comest unto Zoar.
01-13:14 And
the LORD said unto Abram, after that
01-16:4 And
he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had
conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.

judge between me and thee.
01-18:2 And
he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three
men stood by him: and when he saw them, he
ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,
01-19:8 Behold
now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring
them out unto you, and do ye to them as is
good in your eyes: only unto these men do
nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid
the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the
gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.
01-31:10 And
it came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the rams which
leaped upon the cattle were ringstraked,
speckled, and grisled.
01-31:12 And
he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all
the rams which leap upon the cattle are ringstraked,
speckled, and grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.
01-31:40 Thus I was; in the day the drought

communed with them, and took from them Simeon, and bound him before their eyes.
01-43:29 And
he lifted up his eyes, and saw his brother
Benjamin, his mother’s son, and said, Is this
your younger brother, of whom ye spake unto me? And he said, God be gracious
unto thee, my son.
01-44:21 And
thou saidst unto thy servants, Bring him down unto me, that I may set mine eyes upon him.
01-45:12 And,
behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaketh unto you.
01-46:4 I
will go down with thee into
01-47:19 Wherefore
shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our
land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto
Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we
may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate.
01-48:10 Now
the eyes of
01-49:12 His
eyes shall
be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.
01-50:4 And
when the days of his mourning were past, Joseph spake unto the house of
Pharaoh, saying, If now I have found grace in your eyes,
speak, I pray you, in the ears of Pharaoh, saying,
02-5:21 And
they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made
our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of
Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put
a sword in their hand to slay us.
02-8:26 And
Moses said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of
the Egyptians to the LORD our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of
the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they
not stone us?
02-13:9 And
it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between
thine eyes, that the Lord’s law may be in thy
mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of
02-13:16 And
it shall be for a token upon thine hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand the LORD brought us
forth out of
02-14:10 And
when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of
02-24:17 And
the sight of the glory of the LORD was like
devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes
of the children of
03-4:13 And
if the whole congregation of
03-20:4 And
if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes
from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not:
03-26:16 I
also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption,
and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes,
and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies
shall eat it.
04-5:13 And
a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes
of her husband, and be kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken with the manner;
04-10:31 And
he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to
encamp in the wilderness, and thou mayest be to us instead of eyes.
04-11:6 But
now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this
manna, before our eyes.
04-15:39 And
it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all
the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own
heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to
go a whoring:
04-16:14 Moreover
thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given
us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.
04-20:8 Take
the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother,
and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes;
and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out
of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.
04-20:12 And
the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me
in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore
ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
04-22:31 Then
the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw
the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and
he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.
04-24:2 And
Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw
04-24:3 And
he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man
whose eyes are open hath said:
04-24:4 He
hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty,
falling into a trance, but having his
eyes open:
04-24:15 And
he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man
whose eyes are open hath said:
04-24:16 He
hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most
High, which saw the vision of the
Almighty, falling into a trance, but
having his eyes open:
04-27:14 For
ye rebelled against my commandment in the
04-33:55 But
if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it
shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and
thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
05-1:30 The
LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all
that he did for you in
05-3:21 And
I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes
have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall
the LORD do unto all the kingdoms whither thou passest.
05-3:27 Get
thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes
westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes:
for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
05-4:3 Your
eyes have seen what the LORD did because of
Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed
them from among you.
05-4:9 Only
take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things
which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart
from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’
sons;
05-4:19 And
lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and
when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them,
and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the
whole heaven.
05-4:34 Or
hath God assayed to go and take him a
nation from the midst of another nation,
by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and
by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD
your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
05-6:8 And
thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets
between thine eyes.
05-6:22 And
the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh,
and upon all his household, before our eyes:
05-7:19 The
great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the
signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby
the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the
people of whom thou art afraid.
05-9:17 And
I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before
your eyes.
05-10:21 He
is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee
these great and terrible things, which thine eyes
have seen.
05-11:7 But
your eyes have seen all the great acts of the
LORD which he did.
05-11:12 A
land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes
of the LORD thy God are always upon
it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.
05-11:18 Therefore
shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them
for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
05-12:8 Ye
shall not do after all the things that
we do here this day, every man whatsoever is
right in his own eyes.
05-13:18 When
thou shalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep all his
commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of
the LORD thy God.
05-14:1 Ye
are the children of the LORD your
God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
05-16:19 Thou
shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift:
for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and
pervert the words of the righteous.
05-21:7 And
they shall answer and say, Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our
eyes seen it.
05-24:1 When
a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no
favour in his eyes, because he hath found some
uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his
house.
05-28:31 Thine
ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from
before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and
thou shalt have none to rescue them.
05-28:32 Thy
sons and thy daughters shall be given
unto another people, and thine eyes shall look,
and fail with longing for them all
the day long: and there shall be no
might in thine hand.
05-28:34 So
that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes
which thou shalt see.
05-28:65 And
among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot
have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of
eyes, and sorrow of mind:
05-28:67 In
the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say,
Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt
fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou
shalt see.
05-29:2 And
Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the
LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt
unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
05-29:3 The
great temptations which thine eyes have seen,
the signs, and those great miracles:
05-29:4 Yet
the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes
to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.
05-34:4 And
the LORD said unto him, This is the
land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give
it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it
with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over
thither.
06-5:13 And
it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against
him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto
him, Art thou for us, or for our
adversaries?
06-23:13 Know
for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you;
but they shall be snares and traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and
thorns in your eyes, until ye perish from off
this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
06-24:7 And
when they cried unto the LORD, he put darkness between you and the Egyptians,
and brought the sea upon them, and covered them; and your eyes have seen what I have done in Egypt: and ye dwelt
in the wilderness a long season.
07-16:21 But
the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes,
and brought him down to
07-16:28 And
Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee,
and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once
avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.
07-17:6 In
those days there was no king in
07-19:17 And
when he had lifted up his eyes, he saw a wayfaring
man in the street of the city: and the old man said, Whither goest thou? and
whence comest thou?
07-21:25 In
those days there was no king in
08-2:9 Let thine eyes
be on the field that they do reap,
and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not
touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go
unto the vessels, and drink of that which
the young men have drawn.
08-2:10 Then
she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me,
seeing I am a stranger?
09-2:33 And
the man of thine, whom I shall not
cut off from mine altar, shall be to
consume thine eyes, and to grieve thine heart:
and all the increase of thine house shall die in the flower of their age.
09-3:2 And
it came to pass at that time, when Eli was
laid down in his place, and his eyes began
to wax dim, that he could not see;
09-4:15 Now
Eli was ninety and eight years old; and his eyes
were dim, that he could not see.
09-6:13 And
they of Bethshemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the
valley: and they lifted up their eyes, and saw
the ark, and rejoiced to see it.
09-11:2 And
Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this condition
will I make a covenant with you,
that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and
lay it for a reproach upon all
Israel.
09-12:3 Behold,
here I am: witness against me before
the LORD, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I
taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I
received any bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.
09-12:16 Now
therefore stand and see this great thing, which the LORD will do before your eyes.
09-14:27 But
Jonathan heard not when his father charged the people with the oath: wherefore
he put forth the end of the rod that was in
his hand, and dipped it in an honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his
eyes were enlightened.
09-14:29 Then
said Jonathan, My father hath troubled the land: see, I pray you, how mine eyes have been enlightened, because I tasted a little
of this honey.
09-20:3 And
David sware moreover, and said, Thy father certainly knoweth that I have found
grace in thine eyes; and he saith, Let not
Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved: but truly as the LORD liveth, and as thy
soul liveth, there is but a step
between me and death.
09-20:29 And
he said, Let me go, I pray thee; for our family hath a sacrifice in the city;
and my brother, he hath commanded me to
be there: and now, if I have found favour in thine eyes,
let me get away, I pray thee, and see my brethren. Therefore he cometh not unto
the king’s table.
09-24:10 Behold,
this day thine eyes have seen how that the LORD
had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee:
but mine eye spared thee; and I said,
I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the LORD’S anointed.
09-25:8 Ask
thy young men, and they will shew thee. Wherefore let the young men find favour
in thine eyes: for we come in a good day: give,
I pray thee, whatsoever cometh to thine hand unto thy servants, and to thy son
David.
09-26:21 Then
said Saul, I have sinned: return, my son David: for I will no more do thee
harm, because my soul was precious in thine eyes
this day: behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly.
09-26:24 And,
behold, as thy life was much set by this day in mine eyes,
so let my life be much set by in the eyes of the
LORD, and let him deliver me out of all tribulation.
09-27:5 And
David said unto Achish, If I have now found grace in thine eyes, let them give me a place in some town in the
country, that I may dwell there: for why should thy servant dwell in the royal
city with thee?
10-6:20 Then
David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out
to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered
himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of
his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!
10-12:11 Thus
saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own
house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes,
and give them unto thy neighbour, and
he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
10-13:34 But
Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people
by the way of the hill side behind him.
10-15:25 And
the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall
find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will
bring me again, and shew me both it,
and his habitation:
10-18:24 And
David sat between the two gates: and the watchman went up to the roof over the
gate unto the wall, and lifted up his eyes, and
looked, and behold a man running alone.
10-19:27 And
he hath slandered thy servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: do therefore what is good in thine eyes.
10-22:28 And
the afflicted people thou wilt save: but thine eyes
are upon the haughty, that thou mayest bring them down.
10-24:3 And
Joab said unto the king, Now the LORD thy God add unto the people, how many
soever they be, an hundredfold, and that the eyes
of my lord the king may see it: but
why doth my lord the king delight in this thing?
11-1:20 And
thou, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel are upon thee, that thou shouldest tell
them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.
11-1:48 And
also thus said the king, Blessed be the
LORD God of Israel, which hath given one to
sit on my throne this day, mine eyes even seeing
it.
11-8:29 That
thine eyes may be open toward this house night
and day, even toward the place of
which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the
prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.
11-8:52 That
thine eyes may be open unto the supplication of
thy servant, and unto the supplication of thy people Israel, to hearken unto
them in all that they call for unto thee.
11-9:3 And
the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou
hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put
my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine
heart shall be there perpetually.
11-10:7 Howbeit
I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes
had seen it: and, behold, the half
was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.
11-11:33 Because
that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the
Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children
of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in mine eyes,
and to keep my statutes and my
judgments, as did David his father.
11-14:4 And
Jeroboam’s wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of
Ahijah. But Ahijah could not see; for his eyes
were set by reason of his age.
11-14:8 And
rent the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it thee: and yet thou hast not been as my servant
David, who kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do that only which was right in mine eyes;
11-15:5 Because
David did that which was right in the
eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days
of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
11-15:11 And
Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father.
11-16:25 But
Omri wrought evil in the eyes of the LORD, and
did worse than all that were before
him.
11-20:6 Yet
I will send my servants unto thee to morrow about this time, and they shall
search thine house, and the houses of thy servants; and it shall be, that whatsoever is pleasant in thine eyes, they shall put it in their hand, and take it
away.
11-22:43 And
he walked in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing
that which was right in the eyes of the LORD: nevertheless the high places were
not taken away; for the people
offered and burnt incense yet in the high places.
12-4:34 And
he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and
his hands upon his hands: and he stretched himself upon the child; and the
flesh of the child waxed warm.
12-4:35 Then
he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched
himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.
12-6:17 And
Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes,
that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of
the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
12-6:20 And
it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, LORD, open
the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the LORD opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.
12-7:2 Then
a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold,
if the LORD would make windows in heaven,
might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not
eat thereof.
12-7:19 And
that lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if the LORD should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be?
And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes,
but shalt not eat thereof.
12-10:5 And
he that was over the house, and he
that was over the city, the elders
also, and the bringers up of the
children, sent to Jehu, saying, We are
thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt bid us; we will not make any
king: do thou that which is good in
thine eyes.
12-10:30 And
the LORD said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast
done unto the house of Ahab according to all that was in mine heart, thy children of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.
12-19:16 LORD,
bow down thine ear, and hear: open, LORD, thine eyes,
and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the
living God.
12-19:22 Whom
hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even
against the Holy One of Israel.
12-22:20 Behold
therefore, I will gather thee unto thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered into
thy grave in peace; and thine eyes shall not see
all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king word
again.
12-25:7 And
they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes,
and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him
with fetters of brass, and carried him to Babylon.
13-13:4 And
all the congregation said that they would do so: for the thing was right in the
eyes of all the people.
13-17:17 And
yet this was a small thing in thine eyes, O God; for thou hast also spoken of thy servant’s house for a great while to come, and
hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.
13-21:16 And
David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of
the LORD stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his
hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in
sackcloth, fell upon their faces.
13-21:23 And
Ornan said unto David, Take it to
thee, and let my lord the king do that
which is good in his eyes: lo, I give thee the oxen also for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood,
and the wheat for the meat offering; I give it all.
14-6:20 That
thine eyes may be open upon this house day and
night, upon the place whereof thou hast said that thou wouldest put thy name
there; to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant prayeth toward this place.
14-6:40 Now,
my God, let, I beseech thee, thine eyes be open,
and let thine ears be attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
14-7:15 Now
mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent
unto the prayer that is made in this
place.
14-7:16 For
now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for
ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be
there perpetually.
14-9:6 Howbeit
I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes
had seen it: and, behold, the one
half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard.
14-14:2 And
Asa did that which was good and right
in the eyes of the LORD his God:
14-16:9 For
the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout
the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect
toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou
shalt have wars.
14-20:12 O
our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great
company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon
thee.
14-21:6 And
he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like as did the house of Ahab: for
he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he wrought that which was evil in the eyes of
the LORD.
14-29:6 For
our fathers have trespassed, and done that
which was evil in the eyes of the LORD our
God, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the
habitation of the LORD, and turned their backs.
14-29:8 Wherefore
the wrath of the LORD was upon Judah and Jerusalem, and he hath delivered them
to trouble, to astonishment, and to hissing, as ye see with your eyes.
14-34:28 Behold,
I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered to thy grave in
peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the evil
that I will bring upon this place, and upon the inhabitants of the same. So
they brought the king word again.
15-3:12 But
many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the
foundation of this house was laid before their eyes,
wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy:
15-9:8 And
now for a little space grace hath been shewed
from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail
in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes,
and give us a little reviving in our bondage.
16-1:6 Let
thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open,
that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now,
day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of
the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my
father’s house have sinned.
16-6:16 And
it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these
things, they were much cast down in their own eyes:
for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God.
17-1:17 For
this deed of the queen shall come
abroad unto all women, so that they shall despise their husbands in their eyes, when it shall be reported, The king Ahasuerus
commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came not.
17-8:5 And
said, If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his sight, and the
thing seem right before the king, and
I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written
to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the
Jews which are in all the king’s
provinces:
18-2:12 And
when they lifted up their eyes afar off, and
knew him not, they lifted up their voice, and wept; and they rent every one his
mantle, and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward heaven.
18-3:10 Because
it shut not up the doors of my mother’s womb,
nor hid sorrow from mine eyes.
18-4:16 It
stood still, but I could not discern the form thereof: an image was before mine eyes,
there was silence, and I heard a
voice, saying,
18-7:8 The
eye of him that hath seen me shall see me no more: thine eyes are upon me, and I am not.
18-10:4 Hast
thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth?
18-11:4 For
thou hast said, My doctrine is pure,
and I am clean in thine eyes.
18-11:20 But
the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they
shall not escape, and their hope shall be
as the giving up of the ghost.
18-14:3 And
dost thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and
bringest me into judgment with thee?
18-15:12 Why
doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy eyes
wink at,
18-16:9 He
teareth me in his wrath, who hateth
me: he gnasheth upon me with his teeth; mine enemy sharpeneth his eyes upon me.
18-17:5 He
that speaketh flattery to his friends,
even the eyes of his children shall fail.
18-19:27 Whom
I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall
behold, and not another; though my
reins be consumed within me.
18-21:8 Their
seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes.
18-21:20 His
eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall
drink of the wrath of the Almighty.
18-24:23 Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth; yet
his eyes are
upon their ways.
18-27:19 The
rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.
18-28:21 Seeing
it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept
close from the fowls of the air.
18-29:15 I
was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame.
18-31:1 I
made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should
I think upon a maid?
18-31:7 If
my step hath turned out of the way, and mine heart walked after mine eyes, and if any blot hath cleaved to mine hands;
18-31:16 If
I have withheld the poor from their desire,
or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail;
18-32:1 So
these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
18-34:21 For
his eyes are
upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.
18-36:7 He
withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but
with kings are they on the throne; yea,
he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.
18-39:29 From
thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.
18-40:24 He
taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.
18-41:18 By
his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.
19-10:8 He
sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he
murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set
against the poor.
19-11:4 The
LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’S
throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
19-13:3 Consider
and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten
mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
19-15:4 In
whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth
them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth
to his own hurt, and changeth not.
19-17:2 Let
my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes
behold the things that are equal.
19-17:11 They
have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;
19-19:8 The
statutes of the LORD are right,
rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
19-25:15 Mine
eyes are ever
toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
19-26:3 For
thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.
19-31:22 For
I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes:
nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto
thee.
19-34:15 The
eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
19-36:1 The
transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.
19-36:2 For
he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his
iniquity be found to be hateful.
19-38:10 My
heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.
19-50:21 These
things hast thou done, and I kept
silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I
will reprove thee, and set them in
order before thine eyes.
19-66:7 He
ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold
the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
19-69:3 I
am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes
fail while I wait for my God.
19-69:23 Let
their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and
make their loins continually to shake.
19-73:7 Their
eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than
heart could wish.
19-77:4 Thou
holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that
I cannot speak.
19-91:8 Only
with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the
reward of the wicked.
19-101:3 I
will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I
hate the work of them that turn aside; it
shall not cleave to me.
19-101:6 Mine
eyes shall
be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that
walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
19-115:5 They
have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they,
but they see not:
19-116:8 For
thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes
from tears, and my feet from falling.
19-118:23 This
is the LORD’S doing; it is marvellous
in our eyes.
19-119:18 Open
thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous
things out of thy law.
19-119:37 Turn
away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.
19-119:82 Mine
eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou
comfort me?
19-119:123 Mine
eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of
thy righteousness.
19-119:136 Rivers
of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep
not thy law.
19-119:148 Mine
eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word.
19-121:1 I
will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from
whence cometh my help.
19-123:1 Unto
thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest
in the heavens.
19-123:2 Behold,
as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the
hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that
he have mercy upon us.
19-131:1 LORD,
my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty:
neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.
19-132:4 I
will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,
19-135:16 They
have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they,
but they see not;
19-139:16 Thine
eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect;
and in thy book all my members were
written, which in continuance were
fashioned, when as yet there was none
of them.
19-141:8 But
mine eyes are
unto thee, O GOD the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul
destitute.
19-145:15 The
eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them
their meat in due season.
19-146:8 The
LORD openeth the eyes
of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth
the righteous:
20-3:7 Be
not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and
depart from evil.
20-3:21 My
son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep
sound wisdom and discretion:
20-4:21 Let
them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in
the midst of thine heart.
20-4:25 Let
thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids
look straight before thee.
20-5:21 For
the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.
20-6:4 Give
not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine
eyelids.
20-6:13 He
winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his
feet, he teacheth with his fingers;
20-10:26 As
vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes,
so is the sluggard to them that send
him.
20-12:15 The
way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
20-15:3 The
eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
20-15:30 The
light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat.
20-16:2 All
the ways of a man are clean in his
own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
20-16:30 He
shutteth his eyes to devise froward things:
moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.
20-17:8 A
gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it: whithersoever it turneth, it
prospereth.
20-17:24 Wisdom
is before him that hath
understanding; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.
20-20:8 A
king that sitteth in the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes.
20-20:13 Love
not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes,
and thou shalt be satisfied with
bread.
20-21:2 Every
way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
20-21:10 The
soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.
20-22:12 The
eyes of the LORD preserve knowledge, and he
overthroweth the words of the transgressor.
20-23:5 Wilt
thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings;
they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
20-23:26 My
son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes
observe my ways.
20-23:29 Who
hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds
without cause? who hath redness of eyes?
20-23:33 Thine
eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart
shall utter perverse things.
20-25:7 For
better it is that it be said unto
thee, Come up hither; than that thou shouldest be put lower in the presence of
the prince whom thine eyes have seen.
20-27:20 Hell
and destruction are never full; so the eyes of
man are never satisfied.
20-28:27 He
that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
20-29:13 The
poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lighteneth both their eyes.
20-30:12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is
not washed from their filthiness.
20-30:13 There is a generation, O how lofty are
their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
21-2:10 And
whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from
them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my
labour: and this was my portion of all my labour.
21-2:14 The
wise man’s eyes are in his head; but the fool walketh in darkness: and I myself
perceived also that one event happeneth to them all.
21-5:11 When
goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving
the beholding of them with their eyes?
21-6:9 Better
is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
21-8:16 When
I applied mine heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done upon
the earth: (for also there is that neither
day nor night seeth sleep with his eyes:)
21-11:7 Truly
the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:
21-11:9 Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy
heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth,
and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into
judgment.
22-1:15 Behold,
thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves’ eyes.
22-4:1 Behold,
thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves’ eyes within thy locks:
thy hair is as a flock of goats, that
appear from mount Gilead.
22-4:9 Thou
hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse;
thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes,
with one chain of thy neck.
22-5:12 His
eyes are as
the eyes of
doves by the rivers of waters, washed with milk, and fitly set.
22-6:5 Turn
away thine eyes from me, for they have overcome
me: thy hair is as a flock of goats
that appear from Gilead.
22-7:4 Thy
neck is as a tower of ivory; thine eyes like the
fishpools in Heshbon, by the gate of Bathrabbim: thy nose is as the tower of Lebanon which looketh toward Damascus.
22-8:10 I
am a wall, and my breasts like
towers: then was I in his eyes as one that found
favour.
23-1:15 And
when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes
from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full
of blood.
23-1:16 Wash
you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
23-3:8 For
Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings
are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
23-3:16 Moreover
the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with
stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking
and mincing as they go, and making a
tinkling with their feet:
23-5:15 And
the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and
the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
23-5:21 Woe
unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
23-6:5 Then
said I, Woe is me! for I am undone;
because I am a man of unclean lips,
and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
23-6:10 Make
the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart,
and convert, and be healed.
23-11:3 And
shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not
judge after the sight of his eyes, neither
reprove after the hearing of his ears:
23-13:16 Their
children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes;
their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.
23-17:7 At
that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes
shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.
23-29:10 For
the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed
your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the
seers hath he covered.
23-29:18 And
in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out
of darkness.
23-30:20 And
though the Lord give you the bread of
adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed
into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see
thy teachers:
23-32:3 And
the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and
the ears of them that hear shall hearken.
23-33:15 He
that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of
oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his
ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes
from seeing evil;
23-33:17 Thine
eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they
shall behold the land that is very far off.
23-33:20 Look
upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes
shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall
ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
23-35:5 Then
the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears
of the deaf shall be unstopped.
23-37:17 Incline
thine ear, O LORD, and hear; open thine eyes, O
LORD, and see: and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent to
reproach the living God.
23-37:23 Whom
hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even
against the Holy One of Israel.
23-38:14 Like
a crane or a swallow, so did I
chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am
oppressed; undertake for me.
23-40:26 Lift
up your eyes on high, and behold who hath
created these things, that bringeth
out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his
might, for that he is strong in
power; not one faileth.
23-42:7 To
open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners
from the prison, and them that sit in
darkness out of the prison house.
23-43:8 Bring
forth the blind people that have eyes, and the
deaf that have ears.
23-44:18 They
have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes,
that they cannot see; and their
hearts, that they cannot understand.
23-49:5 And
now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not
gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of
the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.
23-49:18 Lift
up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these
gather themselves together, and come
to thee. As I live, saith the LORD,
thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them
on thee, as a bride doeth.
23-51:6 Lift
up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the
earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth
shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like
manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be
abolished.
23-52:10 The
LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all
the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
23-59:10 We
grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon
day as in the night; we are in
desolate places as dead men.
23-60:4 Lift
up thine eyes round about, and see: all they
gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far,
and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
23-65:12 Therefore
will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter:
because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but
did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
23-65:16 That
he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth;
and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the
former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
23-66:4 I
also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because
when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did
evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
24-3:2 Lift
up thine eyes unto the high places, and see
where thou hast not been lien with. In the ways hast thou sat for them, as the
Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms
and with thy wickedness.
24-5:3 O
LORD, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they
have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but
they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder
than a rock; they have refused to return.
24-5:21 Hear
now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:
24-7:11 Is
this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.
24-9:1 Oh
that my head were waters, and mine eyes a
fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the
daughter of my people!
24-9:18 And
let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out
with waters.
24-13:20 Lift
up your eyes, and behold them that come from the
north: where is the flock that was given thee, thy beautiful
flock?
24-14:6 And
the wild asses did stand in the high places, they snuffed up the wind like
dragons; their eyes did fail, because there was no grass.
24-14:17 Therefore
thou shalt say this word unto them; Let mine eyes
run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease: for the virgin
daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.
24-16:9 For
thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease
out of this place in your eyes, and in your
days, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the
bridegroom, and the voice of the bride.
24-16:17 For
mine eyes are
upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their
iniquity hid from mine eyes.
24-20:4 For
thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all
thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it:
and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he
shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword.
24-22:17 But
thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood,
and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.
24-24:6 For
I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I
will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and
not pluck them up.
24-29:21 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of
Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which prophesy a lie unto you in my name; Behold,
I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he
shall slay them before your eyes;
24-31:16 Thus
saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith
the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.
24-32:4 And
Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but
shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak
with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall
behold his eyes;
24-32:19 Great
in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons
of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of
his doings:
24-34:3 And
thou shalt not escape out of his hand, but shalt surely be taken, and delivered
into his hand; and thine eyes shall behold the eyes of the king of Babylon, and he shall speak with
thee mouth to mouth, and thou shalt go to Babylon.
24-39:6 Then
the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes: also the king of Babylon slew all the nobles of
Judah.
24-39:7 Moreover
he put out Zedekiah’s eyes, and bound him with
chains, to carry him to Babylon.
24-42:2 And
said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be
accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant; (for we are
left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:)
24-52:2 And
he did that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had
done.
24-52:10 And
the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he slew also all the princes of Judah in Riblah.
24-52:11 Then he put out the eyes
of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in chains, and carried him
to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.
25-2:11 Mine
eyes do fail with tears, my bowels are troubled,
my liver is poured upon the earth, for the destruction of the daughter of my
people; because the children and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the
city.
25-4:17 As
for us, our eyes as yet failed for our vain
help: in our watching we have watched for a nation that could not save us.
25-5:17 For
this our heart is faint; for these things
our eyes are dim.
26-1:18 As
for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes
round about them four.
26-6:9 And
they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall
be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath
departed from me, and with their eyes, which go
a whoring after their idols: and they shall loathe themselves for the evils
which they have committed in all their abominations.
26-8:5 Then
said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes
now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes
the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this
image of jealousy in the entry.
26-10:12 And
their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the
wheels, were full of eyes round about, even
the wheels that they four had.
26-12:2 Son
of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and
hear not: for they are a rebellious
house.
26-12:12 And
the prince that is among them shall
bear upon his shoulder in the
twilight, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to carry out
thereby: he shall cover his face, that he see not the ground with his eyes.
26-18:6 And hath not eaten upon the mountains,
neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of
the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour’s wife, neither hath
come near to a menstruous woman,
26-18:12 Hath
oppressed the poor and needy, hath spoiled by violence, hath not restored the
pledge, and hath lifted up his eyes to the
idols, hath committed abomination,
26-18:15 That hath not eaten upon the mountains,
neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of
the house of Israel, hath not defiled his neighbour’s wife,
26-20:7 Then
said I unto them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of
Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
26-20:8 But
they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: they did not every man
cast away the abominations of their eyes,
neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my
fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of
Egypt.
26-20:24 Because
they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had
polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after
their fathers’ idols.
26-21:6 Sigh
therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of thy loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.
26-22:26 Her
priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put
no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean,
and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I
am profaned among them.
26-23:16 And
as soon as she saw them with her eyes, she doted
upon them, and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea.
26-23:27 Thus
will I make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thy whoredom brought from the land of Egypt: so that
thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor
remember Egypt any more.
26-23:40 And
furthermore, that ye have sent for men to come from far, unto whom a messenger was sent; and, lo, they came: for whom
thou didst wash thyself, paintedst thy eyes, and
deckedst thyself with ornaments,
26-24:16 Son
of man, behold, I take away from thee the desire of thine eyes with a stroke: yet neither shalt thou mourn nor
weep, neither shall thy tears run down.
26-24:21 Speak
unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will profane my
sanctuary, the excellency of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons
and your daughters whom ye have left shall fall by the sword.
26-24:25 Also,
thou son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them
their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their minds, their
sons and their daughters,
26-33:25 Wherefore
say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Ye eat with the blood, and lift up your
eyes toward your idols, and shed blood: and
shall ye possess the land?
26-36:23 And
I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye
have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I
shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
26-37:20 And
the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.
26-38:16 And
thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land;
it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the
heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
26-38:23 Thus
will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.
26-40:4 And
the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes,
and hear with thine ears, and set thine heart upon all that I shall shew thee;
for to the intent that I might shew them unto
thee art thou brought hither: declare
all that thou seest to the house of Israel.
26-44:5 And
the LORD said unto me, Son of man, mark well, and behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto
thee concerning all the ordinances of the house of the LORD, and all the laws
thereof; and mark well the entering in of the house, with every going forth of
the sanctuary.
27-4:34 And
at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes
unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most
High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his
kingdom is from generation to
generation:
27-7:8 I
considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little
horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots:
and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of
man, and a mouth speaking great things.
27-7:20 And
of the ten horns that were in his
head, and of the other which came up,
and before whom three fell; even of that
horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very
great things, whose look was more
stout than his fellows.
27-8:3 Then
I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold,
there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns
were high; but one was higher than the other, and the
higher came up last.
27-8:5 And
as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the
whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.
27-8:21 And
the rough goat is the king of Grecia:
and the great horn that is between his
eyes is the
first king.
27-9:18 O
my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes,
and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do
not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy
great mercies.
27-10:5 Then
I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a
certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were
girded with fine gold of Uphaz:
27-10:6 His
body also was like the beryl, and his
face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes
as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass,
and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
28-13:14 I
will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death,
I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be
hid from mine eyes.
29-1:16 Is
not the meat cut off before our eyes, yea, joy and gladness from the house of
our God?
30-9:4 And
though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the
sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes
upon them for evil, and not for good.
30-9:8 Behold,
the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the
face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,
saith the LORD.
33-7:10 Then
she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said
unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes
shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.
35-1:13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on
iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked
devoureth the man that is more
righteous than he?
36-3:20 At
that time will I bring you again, even
in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among
all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD.
37-2:3 Who
is left among you that saw this house
in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison
of it as nothing?
38-1:18 Then
lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four
horns.
38-2:1 I
lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and
behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.
38-3:9 For
behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes:
behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will
remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
38-4:10 For
who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall
see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with
those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the
whole earth.
38-5:1 Then
I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked,
and behold a flying roll.
38-5:5 Then
the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is
this that goeth forth.
38-5:9 Then
lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold,
there came out two women, and the wind was
in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they
lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.
38-6:1 And
I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked,
and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the
mountains were mountains of brass.
38-8:6 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes
of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in
mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts.
38-9:1 The
burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD.
38-9:8 And
I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth
by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them
any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.
38-12:4 In
that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his
rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes
upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with
blindness.
38-14:12 And
this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have
fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon
their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in
their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
39-1:5 And
your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The LORD
will be magnified from the border of Israel.
40-9:29 Then
touched he their eyes, saying, According to your
faith be it unto you.
40-9:30 And
their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly
charged them, saying, See that no man
know it.
40-13:15 For
this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their
ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes
they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted,
and I should heal them.
40-13:16 But
blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
40-17:8 And
when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no
man, save Jesus only.
40-18:9 And
if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one
eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into
hell fire.
40-20:33 They
say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
40-20:34 So
Jesus had compassion on them, and
touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
40-21:42 Jesus
saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the
builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the
Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
40-26:43 And
he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes
were heavy.
41-8:18 Having
eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not?
and do ye not remember?
41-8:23 And
he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had
spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he
asked him if he saw ought.
41-8:25 After
that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and
saw every man clearly.
41-9:47 And
if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the
kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes
to be cast into hell fire:
41-12:11 This
was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
41-14:40 And
when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer
him.
42-2:30 For
mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
42-4:20 And
he closed the book, and he gave it again
to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of
all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
42-6:20 And
he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and
said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours
is the kingdom of God.
42-10:23 And
he turned him unto his disciples, and
said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:
42-16:23 And
in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments,
and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
42-18:13 And
the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes
unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
42-19:42 Saying,
If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now
they are hid from thine eyes.
42-24:16 But
their eyes were holden that they should not know
him.
42-24:31 And
their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and
he vanished out of their sight.
43-4:35 Say
not ye, There are yet four months, and then
cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white
already to harvest.
43-6:5 When
Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith
unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
43-9:6 When
he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he
anointed the eyes of the blind man with the
clay,
43-9:10 Therefore
said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?
43-9:11 He
answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and
wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.
43-9:14 And
it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.
43-9:15 Then
again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto
them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed,
and do see.
43-9:17 They
say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened
thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet.
43-9:21 But
by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall
speak for himself.
43-9:26 Then
said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?
43-9:30 The
man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know
not from whence he is, and yet he
hath opened mine eyes.
43-9:32 Since
the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.
43-10:21 Others
said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?
43-11:37 And
some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have
died?
43-11:41 Then
they took away the stone from the place where
the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his
eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that
thou hast heard me.
43-12:40 He
hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their
heart; that they should not see with their
eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I
should heal them.
43-17:1 These
words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven,
and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may
glorify thee:
44-3:4 And
Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John,
said, Look on us.
44-9:8 And
Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes
were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.
44-9:18 And
immediately there fell from his eyes as it had
been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
44-9:40 But
Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise.
And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter,
she sat up.
44-11:6 Upon
the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I
considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and
creeping things, and fowls of the air.
44-13:9 Then
Saul, (who also is called Paul,)
filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,
44-26:18 To
open their eyes, and to turn them from
darkness to light, and from the power
of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance
among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
44-28:27 For
the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing,
and their eyes have they closed; lest they
should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their
heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
45-3:18 There is
no fear of God before their eyes.
45-11:8 (According
as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they
should not hear;) unto this day.
45-11:10 Let their eyes be darkened that they may not see, and bow down
their back alway.
48-3:1 O
foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth,
before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been
evidently set forth, crucified among you?
48-4:15 Where
is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I bear you record, that, if it had been possible, ye would have
plucked out your own eyes, and have given them
to me.
49-1:18 The
eyes of your understanding being enlightened;
that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the
glory of his inheritance in the saints,
58-4:13 Neither
is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
60-3:12 For
the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
61-2:14 Having
eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease
from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous
practices; cursed children:
62-1:1 That
which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have
handled, of the Word of life;
62-2:11 But
he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth
not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
62-2:16 For
all that is in the world, the lust of
the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the
pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
66-1:14 His
head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow;
and his eyes were
as a flame of fire;
66-2:18 And
unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of
God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of
fire, and his feet are like fine
brass;
66-3:18 I
counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and
white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
66-4:6 And
before the throne there was a sea of
glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the
throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
66-4:8 And
the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full
of eyes within: and they rest not day and night,
saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
66-5:6 And
I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in
the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns
and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of
God sent forth into all the earth.
66-7:17 For
the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead
them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from
their eyes.
66-19:12 His
eyes were as
a flame of fire, and on his head were many
crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
66-21:4 And
God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall
there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
