01-20:18 For
the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the
house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham’s wife.

07-4:21 Then
Jael Heber’s wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and
went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into
the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So
he died.
07-15:13 And
they spake unto him, saying, No; but we will bind thee fast,
and deliver thee into their hand: but surely we will not kill thee. And they
bound him with two new cords, and brought him up from the rock.
07-16:11 And
he said unto her, If they bind me fast with new
ropes that never were occupied, then shall I be weak, and be as another man.
08-2:8 Then
said Boaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another
field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast
by my maidens:
08-2:21 And
Ruth the Moabitess said, He said unto me also, Thou shalt keep fast by my young men, until they have ended all my
harvest.
08-2:23 So
she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean
unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her mother
in law.
10-12:21 Then
said his servants unto him, What thing is

and weep for the child, while it was alive;
but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.

not the sound of his master’s feet behind him?

18-2:3 And
the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a
perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still
he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou
movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
18-8:15 He
shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.
18-27:6 My
righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it
go: my heart shall not reproach me so
long as I live.
18-38:38 When
the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast

19-33:9 For
he spake, and it was done; he
commanded, and it stood fast.
19-38:2 For
thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand

19-111:8 They
stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.
20-4:13 Take
fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
23-58:3 Wherefore
have we fasted, say they, and thou
seest not? wherefore have we
afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.
23-58:4 Behold,
ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with
the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be
heard on high.
23-58:5 Is
it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a
man to afflict his soul? is it to bow
down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?
23-58:6 Is not this the fast
that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy
burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
24-8:5 Why

24-14:12 When
they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when
they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will
consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.
24-36:9 And
it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah,
in the ninth month, that they
proclaimed a fast before the LORD to all the
people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah

the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the
wares that were in the ship into the

32-3:5 So

38-7:5 Speak
unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and
mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even
those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me,
even to me?
38-8:19 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast
of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and
the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of
Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and
peace.
40-6:16 Moreover
when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a
sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men
to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their
reward.
40-6:18 That
thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy
Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward
thee openly.
40-9:14 Then
came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast
not?
40-9:15 And
Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as
the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall
be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
40-26:48 Now
he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that
same is he: hold him fast.
41-2:18 And
the disciples of John and of the Pharisees used to fast:
and they come and say unto him, Why do the disciples of John and of the
Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not?
41-2:19 And
Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as
they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
41-2:20 But
the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then
shall they fast in those days.
42-5:33 And
they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast
often, and make prayers, and likewise the
disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?
42-5:34 And
he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
42-5:35 But
the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then
shall they fast in those days.
42-18:12 I
fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all
that I possess.
44-16:24 Who,
having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made
their feet fast in the stocks.
44-27:9 Now
when much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already past, Paul admonished them,
44-27:41 And
falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the
forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable,
but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves.
46-16:13 Watch
ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men,
be strong.
48-5:1 Stand
fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ
hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
50-1:27 Only
let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I
come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together
for the faith of the gospel;
50-4:1 Therefore,
my brethren, dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my
dearly beloved.
52-3:8 For
now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.
52-5:21 Prove
all things; hold fast that which is good.
53-2:15 Therefore,
brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions
which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
55-1:13 Hold
fast the form of sound words, which thou hast
heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
56-1:9 Holding
fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that
he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
58-3:6 But
Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm
unto the end.
58-4:14 Seeing
then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus
the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
58-10:23 Let
us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
66-2:13 I
know thy works and where thou dwellest, even
where Satan’s seat is: and thou
holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my
faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was
my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
66-2:25 But
that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
66-3:3 Remember
therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast,
and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief,
and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
66-3:11 Behold,
I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast,
that no man take thy crown.

the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that
is upon them, and burn them upon the altar.
02-29:22 Also
thou shalt take of the ram the fat and the rump,
and the fat that covereth the inwards, and the
caul above the liver, and the two
kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and the right shoulder; for it is a ram of consecration:
03-1:8 And
the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon
the altar:
03-1:12 And
he shall cut it into his pieces, with his head and his fat:
and the priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is upon
the altar:
03-3:3 And
he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire
unto the LORD; the fat that covereth the
inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,
03-3:4 And
the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys,
it shall he take away.
03-3:9 And
he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire
unto the LORD; the fat thereof, and the whole rump, it shall he take off
hard by the backbone; and the fat that covereth
the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,
03-3:10 And
the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys,
it shall he take away.
03-3:14 And
he shall offer thereof his offering, even
an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat
that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,
03-3:15 And
the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys,
it shall he take away.
03-3:16 And
the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it
is the food of the offering made by fire for a sweet savour: all the fat is the
LORD’S.
03-3:17 It shall be a perpetual statute for your
generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood.
03-4:8 And
he shall take off from it all the fat of the
bullock for the sin offering; the fat that
covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,
03-4:9 And
the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys,
it shall he take away,
03-4:19 And
he shall take all his fat from him, and burn it upon the altar.
03-4:26 And
he shall burn all his fat upon the altar, as the
fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the
priest shall make an atonement for him as concerning his sin, and it shall be
forgiven him.
03-4:31 And
he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace
offerings; and the priest shall burn it upon
the altar for a sweet savour unto the LORD; and the priest shall make an
atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him.
03-4:35 And
he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of
the peace offerings; and the priest shall burn them upon the altar, according
to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: and the priest shall make an
atonement for his sin that he hath committed, and it shall be forgiven him.
03-6:12 And
the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and
the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in
order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat
of the peace offerings.
03-7:3 And
he shall offer of it all the fat thereof; the
rump, and the fat that covereth the inwards,
03-7:4 And
the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the caul that
is above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away:
03-7:23 Speak
unto the children of
03-7:24 And
the fat of the beast that dieth of itself, and
the fat of that which is torn with beasts, may
be used in any other use: but ye shall in no wise eat of it.
03-7:25 For
whosoever eateth the fat of the beast, of which
men offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, even the soul that eateth it shall be cut off from his people.
03-7:30 His
own hands shall bring the offerings of the LORD made by fire, the fat with the breast, it shall he bring, that the
breast may be waved for a wave
offering before the LORD.
03-7:31 And
the priest shall burn the fat upon the altar:
but the breast shall be Aaron’s and his sons’.
03-7:33 He
among the sons of Aaron, that offereth the blood of the peace offerings, and
the fat, shall have the right shoulder for his part.
03-8:16 And
he took all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Moses burned it upon the altar.
03-8:20 And
he cut the ram into pieces; and Moses burnt the head, and the pieces, and the fat.
03-8:25 And
he took the fat, and the rump, and all the fat that was upon
the inwards, and the caul above the
liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and
the right shoulder:
03-8:26 And
out of the basket of unleavened bread, that was
before the LORD, he took one unleavened cake, and a cake of oiled bread,
and one wafer, and put them on the fat, and upon the right shoulder:
03-9:10 But
the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul above the
liver of the sin offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the LORD commanded
Moses.
03-9:19 And
the fat of the bullock and of the ram, the rump,
and that which covereth the inwards, and
the kidneys, and the caul above the
liver:
03-9:20 And
they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burnt
the fat upon the altar:
03-9:24 And
there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the
burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their
faces.
03-10:15 The
heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by
fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be thine, and
thy sons’ with thee, by a statute for ever; as the LORD hath commanded.
03-16:25 And
the fat of the sin offering shall he burn upon
the altar.
03-17:6 And
the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet
savour unto the LORD.
04-13:20 And
what the land is, whether it be fat or
lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and
bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes.
04-18:17 But
the firstling of a cow, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a
goat, thou shalt not redeem; they are holy:
thou shalt sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and shalt burn their fat for an
offering made by fire, for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
05-31:20 For
when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers,
that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled
themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn
unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant.
05-32:14 Butter
of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs,
and rams of the breed of
05-32:15 But
Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the
Rock of his salvation.
05-32:38 Which
did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink
offerings? let them rise up and help you, and
be your protection.
07-3:17 And
he brought the present unto Eglon king of
07-3:22 And
the haft also went in after the blade; and the fat
closed upon the blade, so that he could not draw the dagger out of his belly; and
the dirt came out.
09-2:15 Also
before they burnt the fat, the priest’s servant
came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest;
for he will not have sodden flesh of thee, but raw.
09-2:16 And
if any man said unto him, Let them
not fail to burn the fat presently, and then take as much as thy soul desireth; then he would answer him, Nay; but thou shalt give it me now: and if not, I will take it by force.
09-2:29 Wherefore
kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons
above me, to make yourselves fat with the
chiefest of all the offerings of
09-15:22 And
Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight
in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold,
to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
09-28:24 And
the woman had a fat calf in the house; and she
hasted, and killed it, and took flour, and kneaded it, and did bake unleavened bread thereof:
10-1:22 From
the blood of the slain, from the fat of the
mighty, the bow of Jonathan turned not back, and the sword of Saul returned not
empty.
11-1:9 And
Adonijah slew sheep and oxen and fat cattle by the
stone of Zoheleth, which is by
Enrogel, and called all his brethren the king’s sons, and all the men of Judah
the king’s servants:
11-1:19 And
he hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in
abundance, and hath called all the sons of the king, and Abiathar the priest,
and Joab the captain of the host: but Solomon thy servant hath he not called.
11-1:25 For
he is gone down this day, and hath slain oxen and fat
cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the king’s sons, and the
captains of the host, and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they eat and drink
before him, and say, God save king Adonijah.
11-4:23 Ten
fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures,
and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted
fowl.
11-8:64 The
same day did the king hallow the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD for there he offered burnt
offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of
the peace offerings: because the brasen altar that was before the LORD was too
little to receive the burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.
13-4:40 And
they found fat pasture and good, and the land was wide, and quiet, and peaceable; for they of Ham had dwelt there of old.
14-7:7 Moreover
Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt
offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings,
because the brasen altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the
burnt offerings, and the meat offerings, and the fat.
14-29:35 And
also the burnt offerings were in
abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings,
and the drink offerings for every burnt
offering. So the service of the house of the LORD was set in order.
14-35:14 And
afterward they made ready for themselves, and for the priests: because the
priests the sons of Aaron were busied in
offering of burnt offerings and the fat until
night; therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests the
sons of Aaron.
16-8:10 Then
he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and
drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD
is your strength.
16-9:25 And
they took strong cities, and a fat land, and
possessed houses full of all goods, wells digged, vineyards, and oliveyards,
and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in thy great goodness.
16-9:35 For
they have not served thee in their kingdom, and in thy great goodness that thou
gavest them, and in the large and fat land which
thou gavest before them, neither turned they from their wicked works.
18-15:27 Because
he covereth his face with his fatness, and maketh collops of fat on his flanks.
19-17:10 They
are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth
they speak proudly.
19-22:29 All
they that be fat
upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow
before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.
19-37:20 But
the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they
shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
19-92:14 They
shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
19-119:70 Their
heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law.
20-11:25 The
liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that
watereth shall be watered also himself.
20-13:4 The
soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing:
but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.
20-15:30 The
light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and
a good report maketh the bones fat.
20-28:25 He
that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in
the LORD shall be made fat.
23-1:11 To
what purpose is the multitude of your
sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams,
and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in
the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
23-5:17 Then
shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.
23-6:10 Make
the heart of this people fat, and make their
ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with
their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
23-10:16 Therefore
shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat
ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning
of a fire.
23-25:6 And
in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well
refined.
23-28:1 Woe
to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
23-28:4 And
the glorious beauty, which is on the
head of the fat valley, shall be a fading
flower, and as the hasty fruit before
the summer; which when he that
looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.
23-30:23 Then
shall he give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and
bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat
and plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures.
23-34:6 The
sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat
with fatness, and with the blood of
lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of
rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the
23-34:7 And
the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their
land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat
with fatness.
23-43:24 Thou
hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve
with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.
23-58:11 And
the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and
make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a
watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
24-5:28 They
are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass
the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless,
yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.
24-50:11 Because
ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O ye destroyers of mine heritage, because ye
are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow
as bulls;
26-34:3 Ye
eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye
kill them that are fed: but ye feed
not the flock.
26-34:14 I
will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of
26-34:16 I
will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and
will bind up that which was broken,
and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
26-34:20 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD unto them; Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle
and between the lean cattle.
26-39:19 And
ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink
blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
26-44:7 In
that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers,
uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to
pollute it, even my house, when ye
offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they
have broken my covenant because of all your abominations.
26-44:15 But
the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my
sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near
to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD:
26-45:15 And
one lamb out of the flock, out of two hundred, out of the fat pastures of
30-5:22 Though
ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace
offerings of your fat beasts.
35-1:16 Therefore
they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them
their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.
38-11:16 For,
lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which
shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one,
nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall
eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws
in pieces.
