01-1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good:
and God divided the light from the darkness.
01-1:10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together
of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
01-1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind,
and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was
in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
01-1:18 And to rule over the day and over
the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
01-1:21 And God created great whales, and
every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly,
after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
01-1:25 And God made the beast of the earth
after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon
the earth after his kind: and God saw that it
was good.
01-1:31 And God saw every thing that he had
made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth
day.
01-2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD
God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of
the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good
and evil.
01-2:12 And the gold of that land is good:
there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
01-2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the
day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
01-2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good
that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
01-3:5 For God doth know that in the day
ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods,
knowing good and evil.
01-3:6 And when the woman saw that the
tree was good
for food, and that it was pleasant to
the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one
wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her
husband with her; and he did eat.
01-3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the
man is become as one of us, to know good and
evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and
eat, and live for ever:
01-15:15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in
peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
01-18:7 And Abraham ran unto the herd, and
fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to
dress it.
01-19:8 Behold now, I have two daughters
which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do
ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for
therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
01-21:16 And she went, and sat her down over
against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see
the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.
01-24:12 And he said, O LORD God of my master
Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day,
and shew kindness unto my master Abraham.
01-24:50 Then Laban and Bethuel answered and
said, The thing proceedeth from the LORD: we cannot speak unto thee bad or good.
01-25:8 Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and
died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his
people.
01-26:29 That thou wilt do us no hurt, as we
have not touched thee, and as we have done unto thee nothing but good, and have sent thee away in peace: thou art now the blessed of the LORD.
01-27:9 Go now to the flock, and fetch me
from thence two good kids of the goats; and I
will make them savoury meat for thy father, such as he loveth:
01-27:46 And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary
of my life because of the daughters of Heth: if Jacob take a wife of the
daughters of Heth, such as these which
are of the daughters of the land, what good
shall my life do me?
01-30:20 And Leah said, God hath endued me with a good
dowry; now will my husband dwell with me, because I have born him six sons: and
she called his name Zebulun.
01-31:24 And God came to Laban the Syrian in a
dream by night, and said unto him, Take heed that thou speak not to Jacob
either good or bad.
01-31:29 It is in the power of my hand to do
you hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take
thou heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good
or bad.
01-32:12 And thou saidst, I will surely do
thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the
sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.
01-40:16 When the chief baker saw that the
interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I
also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head:
01-41:5 And he slept and dreamed the second
time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.
01-41:22 And I saw in my dream, and, behold,
seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good:
01-41:24 And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there
was none that could declare it to
me.
01-41:26 The seven good
kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven
years: the dream is one.
01-41:35 And let them gather all the food of
those good years that come, and lay up corn
under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.
01-41:37 And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all
his servants.
01-43:28 And they answered, Thy servant our
father is in good
health, he is yet alive. And they
bowed down their heads, and made obeisance.
01-44:4 And
when they were gone out of the city, and
not yet far off, Joseph said unto
his steward, Up, follow after the men; and when thou dost overtake them, say
unto them, Wherefore have ye rewarded evil for good?
01-45:18 And take your father and your
households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good
of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land.
01-45:20 Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours.
01-45:23 And to his father he sent after this manner; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with
corn and bread and meat for his father by the way.
01-46:29 And Joseph made ready his chariot,
and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto
him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good
while.
01-49:15 And he saw that rest was good,
and the land that it was pleasant;
and bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.
01-50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil
against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
02-3:8 And
I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring
them up out of that land unto a good land and a
large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the
Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the
Hivites, and the Jebusites.
02-18:17 And
Moses’ father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good.
02-21:34 The
owner of the pit shall make it good, and give
money unto the owner of them; and the dead beast
shall be his.
02-22:11 Then shall an oath of the LORD be
between them both, that he hath not put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods;
and the owner of it shall accept thereof,
and he shall not make it good.
02-22:13 If
it be torn in pieces, then let him
bring it for witness, and he shall not make good that which was torn.
02-22:14 And
if a man borrow ought of his neighbour,
and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof being
not with it, he shall surely make it good.
02-22:15 But if the owner thereof be with it, he shall not make it good:
if it be an hired thing, it came for his hire.
03-5:4 Or if a soul swear, pronouncing
with his lips to do evil, or to do good, whatsoever it
be that a man shall pronounce with an oath, and it be hid from him; when he
knoweth of it, then he shall be
guilty in one of these.
03-24:18 And he that killeth a beast shall
make it good; beast for beast.
03-27:10 He shall not alter it, nor change it,
a good for a bad, or a bad for a good: and if he shall at all change beast for beast,
then it and the exchange thereof shall be holy.
03-27:12 And the priest shall value it,
whether it be good or bad: as thou valuest it, who art the priest, so shall it be.
03-27:14 And when a man shall sanctify his
house to be holy unto the LORD, then
the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good
or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand.
03-27:33 He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it: and if he change
it at all, then both it and the change thereof shall be holy; it shall not be
redeemed.
04-10:29 And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of
Raguel the Midianite, Moses’ father in law, We are journeying unto the place of
which the LORD said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee
good: for the LORD hath spoken good concerning Israel.
04-13:19 And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good
or bad; and what cities they be that
they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds;
04-13:20 And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of
good courage, and bring of the fruit of the
land. Now the time was the time of
the firstripe grapes.
04-14:7 And they spake unto all the company
of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search
it, is an exceeding good land.
04-23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he
should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
04-24:13 If Balak would give me his house full
of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good
or bad of mine own mind; but what the
LORD saith, that will I speak?
05-1:14 And ye answered me, and said, The
thing which thou hast spoken is good for us to
do.
05-1:25 And they took of the fruit of the
land in their hands, and brought it down
unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which the LORD our
God doth give us.
05-1:35 Surely there shall not one of these
men of this evil generation see that good land,
which I sware to give unto your fathers,
05-1:39 Moreover your little ones, which ye
said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge
between good and evil, they shall go in thither,
and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.
05-2:4 And command thou the people,
saying, Ye are to pass through the
coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they
shall be afraid of you: take ye good heed unto
yourselves therefore:
05-3:25 I pray thee, let me go over, and see
the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.
05-4:15 Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of
similitude on the day that the LORD
spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
05-4:21 Furthermore the LORD was angry with
me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I
should not go in unto that good land, which the
LORD thy God giveth thee for an
inheritance:
05-4:22 But I must die in this land, I must
not go over Jordan: but ye shall go over, and possess that good land.
05-6:11 And houses full of all good things, which
thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and
olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
05-6:18 And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well
with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good
land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers,
05-6:24 And the LORD commanded us to do all
these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good
always, that he might preserve us alive, as it
is at this day.
05-8:7 For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into
a good land, a land of brooks of water, of
fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;
05-8:10 When thou hast eaten and art full,
then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good
land which he hath given thee.
05-8:16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with
manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might
prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;
05-9:6 Understand therefore, that the LORD
thy God giveth thee not this good land to
possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art
a stiffnecked people.
05-10:13 To keep the commandments of the LORD,
and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
05-11:17 And then the LORD’S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the
heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.
05-12:28 Observe and hear all these words
which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children
after thee for ever, when thou doest that
which is good and right in the sight of the
LORD thy God.
05-26:11 And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which
the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the
Levite, and the stranger that is among
you.
05-28:12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy
land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt
lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
05-28:63 And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do
you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will
rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be
plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.
05-30:5 And the LORD thy God will bring thee
into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he
will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy
fathers.
05-30:9 And the LORD thy God will make thee
plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the
fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good:
for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good,
as he rejoiced over thy fathers:
05-30:15 See, I have set before thee this day
life and good, and death and evil;
05-31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the
LORD thy God, he it is that doth go
with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
05-31:7 And Moses called unto Joshua, and
said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto
the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou
shalt cause them to inherit it.
05-31:23 And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a
charge, and said, Be strong and of a good
courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I
sware unto them: and I will be with thee.
05-33:16 And for the precious things of the
earth and fulness thereof, and for the
good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of
Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that
was separated from his brethren.
06-1:6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide
for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
06-1:8 This book of the law shall not
depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that
thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then
thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
06-1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong
and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be
thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with
thee whithersoever thou goest.
06-1:18 Whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken
unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only
be strong and of a good courage.
06-9:25 And now, behold, we are in thine hand: as it seemeth good and right unto thee to do unto us, do.
06-10:25 And Joshua said unto them, Fear not,
nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage:
for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.
06-21:45 There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of
Israel; all came to pass.
06-23:11 Take good
heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God.
06-23:13 Know for a certainty that the LORD
your God will no more drive out any of these
nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps unto you, and
scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until ye perish from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
06-23:14 And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye
know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed
of all the good things which the LORD your God
spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.
06-23:15 Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good
things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the
LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
06-23:16 When ye have transgressed the
covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served
other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the LORD be
kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you.
06-24:20 If ye forsake the LORD, and serve
strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he
hath done you good.
07-8:32 And Gideon the son of Joash died in
a good old age, and was buried in the sepulchre of
Joash his father, in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
07-9:11 But the fig tree said unto them,
Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good
fruit, and go to be promoted over the trees?
07-10:15 And the children of Israel said unto
the LORD, We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this
day.
07-17:13 Then said Micah, Now know I that the LORD
will do me good, seeing I have a Levite to my priest.
07-18:9 And they said, Arise, that we may go
up against them: for we have seen the land, and, behold, it is very good:
and are ye still? be not slothful to go,
and to enter to possess the land.
07-18:22 And
when they were a good way from the house of
Micah, the men that were in the
houses near to Micah’s house were gathered together, and overtook the children
of Dan.
07-19:24 Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring
out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a
thing.
08-2:22 And Naomi said unto Ruth her
daughter in law, It is good, my daughter, that thou go out with his maidens,
that they meet thee not in any other field.
09-1:23 And Elkanah her husband said unto
her, Do what seemeth thee good; tarry until thou
have weaned him; only the LORD establish his word. So the woman abode, and gave
her son suck until she weaned him.
09-2:24 Nay, my sons; for it is no good
report that I hear: ye make the Lord’s people to transgress.
09-3:18 And Samuel told him every whit, and
hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the
LORD: let him do what seemeth him good.
09-11:10 Therefore the men of Jabesh said, To
morrow we will come out unto you, and ye shall do with us all that seemeth good unto you.
09-12:23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I
should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you
the good and the right way:
09-14:36 And Saul said, Let us go down after
the Philistines by night, and spoil them until the morning light, and let us
not leave a man of them. And they said, Do whatsoever seemeth good unto thee. Then said the priest, Let us draw near
hither unto God.
09-14:40 Then said he unto all Israel, Be ye
on one side, and I and Jonathan my son will be on the other side. And the
people said unto Saul, Do what seemeth good unto
thee.
09-15:9 But Saul and the people spared Agag,
and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs,
and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every
thing that was vile and refuse, that
they destroyed utterly.
09-19:4 And Jonathan spake good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him,
Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he hath not
sinned against thee, and because his works have
been to thee-ward very good:
09-20:12 And Jonathan said unto David, O LORD
God of Israel, when I have sounded my father about to morrow any time, or the third day, and, behold, if there be
good toward David, and I then send not unto
thee, and shew it thee;
09-24:4 And the men of David said unto him,
Behold the day of which the LORD said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver thine
enemy into thine hand, that thou mayest do to him as it shall seem good unto thee. Then David arose, and cut off the
skirt of Saul’s robe privily.
09-24:17 And he said to David, Thou art more righteous than I: for thou hast
rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded thee
evil.
09-24:19 For if a man find his enemy, will he
let him go well away? wherefore the LORD reward thee good
for that thou hast done unto me this day.
09-25:3 Now the name of the man was Nabal; and the name of his wife
Abigail: and she was a woman of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance:
but the man was churlish and evil in
his doings; and he was of the house
of Caleb.
09-25:8 Ask thy young men, and they will
shew thee. Wherefore let the young men find favour in thine eyes: for we come
in a good day: give, I pray thee, whatsoever
cometh to thine hand unto thy servants, and to thy son David.
09-25:15 But the men were very good unto us, and we were
not hurt, neither missed we any thing, as long as we were conversant with them,
when we were in the fields:
09-25:21 Now David had said, Surely in vain
have I kept all that this fellow hath
in the wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that pertained unto him: and he hath requited me evil for good.
09-25:30 And it shall come to pass, when the
LORD shall have done to my lord according to all the good
that he hath spoken concerning thee, and shall have appointed thee ruler over
Israel;
09-26:16 This thing is not good that thou hast done. As the LORD liveth, ye are worthy to die, because ye have not
kept your master, the LORD’S anointed. And now see where the king’s spear is, and the cruse of water that was at his bolster.
09-29:6 Then Achish called David, and said
unto him, Surely, as the LORD liveth,
thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host
is good
in my sight: for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto
me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favour thee not.
09-29:9 And Achish answered and said to
David, I know that thou art good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding
the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the
battle.
10-3:19 And Abner also spake in the ears of
Benjamin: and Abner went also to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that
seemed good to Israel, and that seemed good to the whole house of Benjamin.
10-4:10 When one told me, saying, Behold,
Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings,
I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, who thought that I would have given him a reward for his tidings:
10-6:19 And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of
Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of
flesh, and a flagon of wine. So
all the people departed every one to his house.
10-10:12 Be of good
courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God:
and the LORD do that which seemeth him good.
10-13:22 And Absalom spake unto his brother
Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated
Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.
10-14:17 Then thine handmaid said, The word of
my lord the king shall now be comfortable: for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad: therefore the LORD thy God will be with
thee.
10-14:32 And Absalom answered Joab, Behold, I
sent unto thee, saying, Come hither, that I may send thee to the king, to say,
Wherefore am I come from Geshur? it had
been good for me to have been there still: now therefore let me see the king’s face;
and if there be any iniquity in me,
let him kill me.
10-15:3 And Absalom said unto him, See, thy
matters are good
and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee.
10-15:26 But if he thus say, I have no delight
in thee; behold, here am I, let him
do to me as seemeth good unto him.
10-16:12 It may be that the LORD will look on
mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good
for his cursing this day.
10-17:7 And Hushai said unto Absalom, The
counsel that Ahithophel hath given is not
good at this time.
10-17:14 And Absalom and all the men of Israel
said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is
better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat
the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that
the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.
10-18:27 And the watchman said, Me thinketh
the running of the foremost is like the running of Ahimaaz the son of Zadok.
And the king said, He is a good man, and cometh with good
tidings.
10-19:18 And there went over a ferry boat to
carry over the king’s household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the
king, as he was come over Jordan;
10-19:27 And he hath slandered thy servant
unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is
as an angel of God: do therefore what
is good in thine eyes.
10-19:35 I am
this day fourscore years old: and can
I discern between good and evil? can thy servant
taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men
and singing women? wherefore then should thy servant be yet a burden unto my
lord the king?
10-19:37 Let thy servant, I pray thee, turn
back again, that I may die in mine own city, and be buried by the grave of my father and of my mother. But
behold thy servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to
him what shall seem good unto thee.
10-19:38 And the king answered, Chimham shall
go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto thee: and whatsoever thou shalt require of
me, that will I do for thee.
10-24:22 And Araunah said unto David, Let my
lord the king take and offer up what seemeth
good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood.
11-1:42 And while he yet spake, behold, Jonathan
the son of Abiathar the priest came: and Adonijah said unto him, Come in; for
thou art a valiant man, and bringest good tidings.
11-2:38 And Shimei said unto the king, The
saying is good:
as my lord the king hath said, so will thy servant do. And Shimei dwelt in
Jerusalem many days.
11-2:42 And the king sent and called for
Shimei, and said unto him, Did I not make thee to swear by the LORD, and
protested unto thee, saying, Know for a certain, on the day thou goest out, and
walkest abroad any whither, that thou shalt surely die? and thou saidst unto
me, The word that I have heard is good.
11-3:9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding
heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good
and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
11-8:36 Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive
the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon
thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.
11-8:56 Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according
to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses
his servant.
11-12:7 And they spake unto him, saying, If
thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and
answer them, and speak good words to them, then
they will be thy servants for ever.
11-14:13 And all Israel shall mourn for him,
and bury him: for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, because in him
there is found some good thing toward the LORD God of Israel in the house
of Jeroboam.
11-14:15 For the LORD shall smite Israel, as a
reed is shaken in the water, and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall
scatter them beyond the river, because they have made their groves, provoking
the LORD to anger.
11-21:2 And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying,
Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give
thee for it a better vineyard than it; or,
if it seem good to thee, I will give thee
the worth of it in money.
11-22:8 And the king of Israel said unto
Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man,
Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him;
for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but
evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
11-22:13 And the messenger that was gone to
call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good
unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of
one of them, and speak that which is good.
11-22:18 And the king of Israel said unto
Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil?
12-3:19 And ye shall smite every fenced
city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good
tree, and stop all wells of water, and mar every good
piece of land with stones.
12-3:25 And they beat down the cities, and
on every good piece of land cast every man his
stone, and filled it; and they stopped all the wells of water, and felled all
the good trees: only in Kirharaseth left they
the stones thereof; howbeit the slingers went about it, and smote it.
12-7:9 Then they said one to another, We
do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till
the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we
may go and tell the king’s household.
12-8:9 So Hazael went to meet him, and
took a present with him, even of every good
thing of Damascus, forty camels’ burden, and came and stood before him, and
said, Thy son Benhadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I
recover of this disease?
12-10:5 And he that was over the house, and he that was
over the city, the elders also, and the bringers up of the children, sent to Jehu, saying, We are thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt bid us; we will
not make any king: do thou that which is good in thine eyes.
12-20:3 I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now
how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good
in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
12-20:19 Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the
word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. And he said, Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?
13-4:40 And they found fat pasture and good, and the land was
wide, and quiet, and peaceable; for they
of Ham had dwelt there of old.
13-13:2 And David said unto all the
congregation of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and that
it be of the LORD our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren every
where, that are left in all the land of
Israel, and with them also to the
priests and Levites which are in
their cities and suburbs, that they
may gather themselves unto us:
13-16:3 And he dealt to every one of Israel,
both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.
13-16:34 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good;
for his mercy endureth for ever.
13-19:13 Be of good
courage, and let us behave ourselves valiantly for our people, and for the
cities of our God: and let the LORD do that
which is good in his sight.
13-21:23 And Ornan said unto David, Take it to thee, and let my lord the king do that which is good
in his eyes: lo, I give thee the oxen
also for burnt offerings, and the
threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meat offering; I give it
all.
13-22:13 Then shalt thou prosper, if thou
takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses
with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good
courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.
13-28:8 Now therefore in the sight of all
Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and
seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.
13-28:20 And David said to Solomon his son, Be
strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the
LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail
thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service
of the house of the LORD.
13-29:3 Moreover, because I have set my
affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that
I have prepared for the holy house,
13-29:28 And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour: and
Solomon his son reigned in his stead.
14-5:13 It came even to pass, as the
trumpeters and singers were as one,
to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they
lifted up their voice with the
trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;
14-6:27 Then hear thou from heaven, and
forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, when thou hast
taught them the good way, wherein they should
walk; and send rain upon thy land, which thou hast given unto thy people for an
inheritance.
14-7:3 And when all the children of Israel
saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed
themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped,
and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good;
for his mercy endureth for ever.
14-10:7 And they spake unto him, saying, If
thou be kind to this people, and please them, and speak good words to them, they will be thy servants for ever.
14-14:2 And Asa did that which was good and right in the
eyes of the LORD his God:
14-18:7 And the king of Israel said unto
Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, by
whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat
said, Let not the king say so.
14-18:12 And the messenger that went to call
Micaiah spake to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets declare good
to the king with one assent; let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one
of theirs, and speak thou good.
14-18:17 And the king of Israel said to
Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he
would not prophesy good unto me, but evil?
14-19:3 Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast taken
away the groves out of the land, and hast prepared thine heart to seek God.
14-19:11 And, behold, Amariah the chief priest
is over you in all matters of the
LORD; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, for all
the king’s matters: also the Levites shall
be officers before you. Deal courageously, and the LORD shall be with the good.
14-24:16 And they buried him in the city of
David among the kings, because he had done good
in Israel, both toward God, and toward his house.
14-30:18 For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh,
Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did they eat the
passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying,
The good LORD pardon every one
14-30:22 And Hezekiah spake comfortably unto
all the Levites that taught the good knowledge
of the LORD: and they did eat throughout the feast seven days, offering peace
offerings, and making confession to the LORD God of their fathers.
14-31:20 And thus did Hezekiah throughout all
Judah, and wrought that which was good and right and truth before the LORD his God.
15-3:11 And they sang together by course in
praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all
the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the
foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
15-5:17 Now therefore, if it seem good
to the king, let there be search made in the king’s treasure house, which is there at Babylon, whether it be so, that a decree was made of Cyrus the
king to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king send his
pleasure to us concerning this matter.
15-7:9 For upon the first day of the first month began he to go up
from Babylon, and on the first day of
the fifth month came he to Jerusalem, according to the good
hand of his God upon him.
15-7:18 And whatsoever shall seem good to thee, and to thy brethren, to do with the rest
of the silver and the gold, that do after the will of your God.
15-8:18 And by the good
hand of our God upon us they brought us a man of understanding, of the sons of
Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his
brethren, eighteen;
15-8:22 For I was ashamed to require of the
king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way:
because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him.
15-9:12 Now therefore give not your daughters
unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their
peace or their wealth for ever: that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever.
15-10:4 Arise; for this matter belongeth unto
thee: we also will be with thee: be
of good courage, and do it.
16-2:8 And a letter unto Asaph the keeper
of the king’s forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of
the palace which appertained to the
house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into.
And the king granted me, according to the good
hand of my God upon me.
16-2:18 Then I told them of the hand of my
God which was good upon me; as also the king’s
words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So
they strengthened their hands for this good work.
16-5:9 Also I said, It is not good
that ye do: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach
of the heathen our enemies?
16-5:19 Think upon me, my God, for good, according to
all that I have done for this people.
16-6:19 Also they reported his good deeds before me, and uttered my words to him. And Tobiah sent letters to put me in
fear.
16-9:13 Thou camest down also upon mount
Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and
true laws, good statutes and commandments:
16-9:20 Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy
manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst.
16-9:36 Behold, we are servants this day, and for
the land that thou gavest unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the
good thereof, behold, we are servants in it:
16-13:14 Remember me, O my God, concerning
this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have
done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.
16-13:31 And for the wood offering, at times
appointed, and for the firstfruits. Remember me, O my God, for good.
17-3:11 And the king said unto Haman, The
silver is given to thee, the people
also, to do with them as it seemeth good to
thee.
17-5:4 And Esther answered, If it seem good
unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I
have prepared for him.
17-7:9 And Harbonah, one of the
chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high,
which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good
for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him
thereon.
17-8:17 And in every province, and in every
city, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had
joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And
many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon
them.
17-9:19 Therefore the Jews of the villages,
that dwelt in the unwalled towns, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another.
17-9:22 As the days wherein the Jews rested
from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to
joy, and from mourning into a good day: that
they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to
another, and gifts to the poor.
18-2:10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest
as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?
In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
18-5:27 Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good.
18-7:7 O remember that my life is wind: mine eye shall no more see good.
18-9:25 Now my days are swifter than a post:
they flee away, they see no good.
18-10:3 Is
it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress,
that thou shouldest despise the work of thine hands, and shine upon the counsel
of the wicked?
18-13:9 Is it good
that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?
18-15:3 Should he reason with unprofitable
talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?
18-21:16 Lo, their good
is not in their hand: the counsel of
the wicked is far from me.
18-22:18 Yet he filled their houses with good things: but
the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
18-22:21 Acquaint now thyself with him, and be
at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.
18-24:21 He evil entreateth the barren that beareth not: and doeth not good to the widow.
18-30:26 When I looked for good, then evil came unto me: and when I waited for light, there came darkness.
18-34:4 Let us choose to us judgment: let us
know among ourselves what is good.
18-39:4 Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth,
and return not unto them.
19-4:6 There
be many that say, Who will shew us any
good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy
countenance upon us.
19-14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they
have done abominable works, there is none
that doeth good.
19-14:3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
19-25:8 Good
and upright is the LORD: therefore
will he teach sinners in the way.
19-27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the LORD.
19-31:24 Be of good
courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.
19-34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
19-34:10 The young lions do lack, and suffer
hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good
thing.
19-34:12 What man is he that desireth life, and
loveth many days, that he may see
good?
19-34:14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
19-35:12 They rewarded me evil for good to the
spoiling of my soul.
19-36:3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left
off to be wise, and to do good.
19-36:4 He deviseth mischief upon his bed;
he setteth himself in a way that is not
good; he abhorreth not evil.
19-37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt
thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
19-37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD:
and he delighteth in his way.
19-37:27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
19-38:20 They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good
is.
19-39:2 I was dumb with silence, I held my
peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred.
19-45:1 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made
touching the king: my tongue is the
pen of a ready writer.
19-51:18 Do good
in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the
walls of Jerusalem.
19-52:3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying
rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
19-52:9 I will praise thee for ever, because
thou hast done it: and I will wait on
thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
19-53:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and
have done abominable iniquity: there is none
that doeth good.
19-53:3 Every one of them is gone back: they
are altogether become filthy; there is none
that doeth good, no, not one.
19-54:6 I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I
will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good.
19-69:16 Hear me, O LORD; for thy
lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy
tender mercies.
19-73:1 Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
19-73:28 But it is good for me to draw near to
God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
19-84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will
he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
19-85:12 Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good;
and our land shall yield her increase.
19-86:5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and
plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
19-86:17 Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD,
hast holpen me, and comforted me.
19-92:1 It
is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy
name, O most High:
19-100:5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
19-103:5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so
that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
19-104:28 That
thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with
good.
19-106:1 Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks
unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
19-106:5 That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness
of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.
19-107:1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good:
for his mercy endureth for ever.
19-109:5 And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
19-109:21 But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord,
for thy name’s sake: because thy mercy is
good, deliver thou me.
19-111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth
for ever.
19-112:5 A good
man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
19-118:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good:
because his mercy endureth for ever.
19-118:29 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good:
for his mercy endureth for ever.
19-119:39 Turn away my reproach which I fear:
for thy judgments are good.
19-119:66 Teach me good
judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
19-119:68 Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.
19-119:71 It
is good for me that I have been afflicted;
that I might learn thy statutes.
19-119:122 Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.
19-122:9 Because of the house of the LORD our
God I will seek thy good.
19-125:4 Do good,
O LORD, unto those that be good, and to
them that are upright in their hearts.
19-128:5 The LORD shall bless thee out of
Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem
all the days of thy life.
19-133:1 Behold,
how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
19-135:3 Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good:
sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.
19-136:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good:
for his mercy endureth for ever.
19-143:10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good;
lead me into the land of uprightness.
19-145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender
mercies are over all his works.
19-147:1 Praise ye the LORD: for it is good
to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant;
and praise is comely.
20-2:9 Then shalt thou understand
righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea,
every good path.
20-2:20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and
keep the paths of the righteous.
20-3:4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
20-3:27 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine
hand to do it.
20-4:2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.
20-11:17 The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.
20-11:23 The desire of the righteous is only good:
but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
20-11:27 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief,
it shall come unto him.
20-12:2 A good
man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but
a man of wicked devices will he condemn.
20-12:14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered
unto him.
20-12:25 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh
it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
20-13:2 A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.
20-13:15 Good
understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.
20-13:21 Evil pursueth sinners: but to the
righteous good shall be repayed.
20-13:22 A good
man leaveth an inheritance to his
children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.
20-14:14 The backslider in heart shall be filled
with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.
20-14:19 The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
20-14:22 Do they not err that devise evil? but
mercy and truth shall be to them that
devise good.
20-15:3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil
and the good.
20-15:23 A man hath joy by the answer of his
mouth: and a word spoken in due
season, how good is it!
20-15:30 The light of the eyes rejoiceth the
heart: and a good
report maketh the bones fat.
20-16:20 He that handleth a matter wisely
shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD,
happy is he.
20-16:29 A violent man enticeth his neighbour,
and leadeth him into the way that is not
good.
20-17:13 Whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.
20-17:20 He that hath a froward heart findeth
no good: and he that hath a perverse tongue
falleth into mischief.
20-17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a
medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
20-17:26 Also to punish the just is not good,
nor to strike princes for equity.
20-18:5 It
is not good to accept the person of the
wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.
20-18:22 Whoso
findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.
20-19:2 Also, that the soul be without
knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.
20-19:8 He that getteth wisdom loveth his
own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.
20-20:18 Every
purpose is established by counsel: and with good
advice make war.
20-20:23 Divers weights are an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance is not good.
20-22:1 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
20-24:13 My son, eat thou honey, because it is good;
and the honeycomb, which is sweet to
thy taste:
20-24:23 These things also belong to the
wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.
20-24:25 But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.
20-25:25 As
cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.
20-25:27 It
is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.
20-28:10 Whoso causeth the righteous to go
astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright
shall have good things in possession.
20-28:21 To have respect of persons is not good:
for for a piece of bread that man
will transgress.
20-31:12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
20-31:18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her
candle goeth not out by night.
21-2:3 I sought in mine heart to give myself
unto wine, yet acquainting mine heart with wisdom; and to lay hold on folly,
till I might see what was that good for the sons of men, which they should do under
the heaven all the days of their life.
21-2:24 There
is nothing better for a man, than that
he should eat and drink, and that he
should make his soul enjoy good in his labour.
This also I saw, that it was from the
hand of God.
21-2:26 For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but
to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good
before God. This also is vanity and
vexation of spirit.
21-3:12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.
21-3:13 And also that every man should eat
and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour,
it is the gift of God.
21-4:8 There is one alone, and there is not a
second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied
with riches; neither saith he, For
whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good?
This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail.
21-4:9 Two are better than one; because they have a good
reward for their labour.
21-5:11 When goods increase, they are
increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving
the beholding of them with their
eyes?
21-5:18 Behold that which I have seen: it is
good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun
all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion.
21-6:3 If a man beget an hundred children, and live many years, so that
the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that
he have no burial; I say, that an
untimely birth is better than he.
21-6:6 Yea, though he live a thousand
years twice told, yet hath he seen no
good: do not all go to one place?
21-6:12 For who knoweth what is good
for man in this life, all the days of
his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall
be after him under the sun?
21-7:1 A good
name is better than precious ointment;
and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.
21-7:11 Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see
the sun.
21-7:18 It
is good that thou shouldest take hold of
this; yea, also from this withdraw not thine hand: for he that feareth God
shall come forth of them all.
21-7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
21-9:2 All things come alike to all: there
is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that
sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he
that sweareth, as he that feareth an
oath.
21-9:18 Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.
21-11:6 In the morning sow thy seed, and in
the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall
prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
21-12:9 And moreover, because the preacher
was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.
21-12:14 For God shall bring every work into
judgment, with every secret thing, whether it
be good, or whether it be evil.
22-1:3 Because of
the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore
do the virgins love thee.
22-2:13 The fig
tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come
away.
23-1:19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye
shall eat the good of the land:
23-5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil;
that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet,
and sweet for bitter!
23-7:15 Butter and honey shall he eat, that
he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
23-7:16 For before the child shall know to
refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land
that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.
23-38:3 And said, Remember now, O LORD, I
beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart,
and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
23-39:8 Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the
word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be
peace and truth in my days.
23-40:9 O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O
Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up
thy voice with strength; lift it up,
be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!
23-41:6 They helped every one his neighbour;
and every one said to his brother, Be
of good courage.
23-41:23 Shew the things that are to come
hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods:
yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be
dismayed, and behold it together.
23-41:27 The first shall say to Zion, Behold, behold them: and I will give to
Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings.
23-52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are
the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that
publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion,
Thy God reigneth!
23-55:2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour
for that which satisfieth not?
hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that
which is good, and let your soul delight
itself in fatness.
23-61:1 The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath
anointed me to preach good tidings unto the
meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the
captives, and the opening of the prison to them
that are bound;
23-65:2 I have spread out my hands all the
day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own
thoughts;
24-4:22 For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
24-5:25 Your iniquities have turned away
these things, and your sins have
withholden good things from you.
24-6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the
ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein,
and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
24-8:15 We looked for peace, but no good came; and for
a time of health, and behold trouble!
24-10:5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be
borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil,
neither also is it in them to do good.
24-13:10 This evil people, which refuse to
hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after
other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle,
which is good for nothing.
24-13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or
the leopard his spots? then may ye
also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.
24-14:11 Then said the LORD unto me, Pray not
for this people for their good.
24-14:19 Hast thou utterly rejected Judah?
hath thy soul loathed Zion? why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? we looked for peace, and there is no good;
and for the time of healing, and behold trouble!
24-17:6 For he shall be like the heath in
the desert, and shall not see when good cometh;
but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
24-18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay
was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as
seemed good to the potter to make it.
24-18:10 If it do evil in my sight, that it obey
not my voice, then I will repent of the good,
wherewith I said I would benefit them.
24-18:11 Now therefore go to, speak to the men
of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold,
I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every
one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.
24-18:20 Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember
that I stood before thee to speak good for them,
and to turn away thy wrath from them.
24-21:10 For I have set my face against this
city for evil, and not for good, saith the LORD:
it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it
with fire.
24-24:2 One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.
24-24:3 Then said the LORD unto me, What
seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good
figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that
cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
24-24:5 Thus saith the LORD, the God of
Israel; Like these good figs, so will I
acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out
of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.
24-24:6 For I will set mine eyes upon them
for good, and I will bring them again to this
land: and I will build them, and not pull them
down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.
24-26:14 As for me, behold, I am in your hand: do with me as seemeth good and meet unto you.
24-29:10 For thus saith the LORD, That after
seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this
place.
24-29:32 Therefore thus saith the LORD;
Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have
a man to dwell among this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, saith the LORD;
because he hath taught rebellion against the LORD.
24-32:39 And I will give them one heart, and
one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good
of them, and of their children after them:
24-32:40 And I will make an everlasting
covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that
they shall not depart from me.
24-32:41 Yea, I will rejoice over them to do
them good, and I will plant them in this land
assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.
24-32:42 For thus saith the LORD; Like as I
have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them
all the good that I have promised them.
24-33:9 And it shall be to me a name of joy,
a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear
all the good that I do unto them: and they shall
fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure
unto it.
24-33:11 The voice of joy, and the voice of
gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of
them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good;
for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the
sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the
captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.
24-33:14 Behold, the days come, saith the
LORD, that I will perform that good thing which
I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.
24-39:16 Go and speak to Ebedmelech the
Ethiopian, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I
will bring my words upon this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished in that day before thee.
24-40:4 And now, behold, I loose thee this
day from the chains which were upon
thine hand. If it seem good unto thee to come
with me into Babylon, come; and I will look well unto thee: but if it seem ill
unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before thee: whither it seemeth good and convenient for thee to go, thither go.
24-42:6 Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of
the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we
obey the voice of the LORD our God.
24-44:27 Behold, I will watch over them for
evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah
that are in the land of Egypt shall
be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.
25-3:25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him,
to the soul that seeketh him.
25-3:26 It
is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the
LORD.
25-3:27 It
is good for a man that he bear the yoke in
his youth.
25-3:38 Out of the mouth of the most High
proceedeth not evil and good?
26-16:50 And they were haughty, and committed
abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.
26-17:8 It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth
branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine.
26-18:18 As
for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by
violence, and did that which is not good
among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.
26-20:25 Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good,
and judgments whereby they should not live;
26-24:4 Gather the pieces thereof into it, even every good
piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it
with the choice bones.
26-34:14 I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel
shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good
fold, and in a fat pasture shall they
feed upon the mountains of Israel.
26-34:18 Seemeth
it a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good
pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and
to have drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet?
26-36:31 Then shall ye remember your own evil
ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight
for your iniquities and for your abominations.
27-4:2 I thought it good to shew the signs and wonders that the high God
hath wrought toward me.
28-4:13 They sacrifice upon the tops of the
mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms,
because the shadow thereof is good: therefore your daughters shall commit whoredom,
and your spouses shall commit adultery.
28-8:3 Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him.
30-5:14 Seek good,
and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be
with you, as ye have spoken.
30-5:15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be
that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.
30-9:4 And though they go into captivity
before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them:
and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.
33-1:12 For the inhabitant of Maroth waited
carefully for good: but evil came down from the
LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem.
33-2:7 O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD
straitened? are these his doings? do
not my words do good to him that walketh
uprightly?
33-3:2 Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from
off them, and their flesh from off their bones;
33-6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good;
and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with thy God?
33-7:2 The good
man is perished out of the earth: and
there is none upright among men: they
all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.
34-1:7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of
trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
34-1:15 Behold upon the mountains the feet
of him that bringeth good tidings, that
publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the
wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.
36-1:12 And it shall come to pass at that
time, that I will search Jerusalem
with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in
their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither
will he do evil.
38-1:13 And the LORD answered the angel that
talked with me with good words and comfortable
words.
38-11:12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my
price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.
39-2:13 And this have ye done again,
covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out,
insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good
will at your hand.
39-2:17 Ye have wearied the LORD with your
words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him?
When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is
good in the sight of the LORD, and he
delighteth in them; or, Where is the
God of judgment?
40-3:10 And now also the ax is laid unto the
root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
40-5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if
the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be
trodden under foot of men.
40-5:16 Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works, and glorify
your Father which is in heaven.
40-5:44 But I say unto you, Love your
enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to
them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute
you;
40-5:45 That ye may be the children of your
Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the
good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the
unjust.
40-7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to
give good gifts unto your children, how much more
shall your Father which is in heaven give good
things to them that ask him?
40-7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good
fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
40-7:18 A good
tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can
a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
40-7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
40-8:30 And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.
40-9:2 And, behold, they brought to him a man
sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the
sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy
sins be forgiven thee.
40-9:22 But Jesus turned him about, and when
he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good
comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that
hour.
40-11:26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
40-12:33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good;
or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
40-12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye,
being evil, speak good things? for out of the
abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
40-12:35 A good
man out of the good treasure of the heart
bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of
the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
40-13:8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an
hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
40-13:23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and
understandeth it; which also beareth
fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
40-13:24 Another parable put he forth unto
them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
40-13:27 So the servants of the householder
came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good
seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
40-13:37 He answered and said unto them, He
that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
40-13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the
tares are the children of the wicked one;
40-13:48 Which, when it was full, they drew to
shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into
vessels, but cast the bad away.
40-14:27 But straightway Jesus spake unto
them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not
afraid.
40-17:4 Then answered Peter, and said unto
Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if
thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses,
and one for Elias.
40-19:10 His disciples say unto him, If the
case of the man be so with his wife,
it is not good to marry.
40-19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto
him, Good Master, what good
thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
40-19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest
thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter
into life, keep the commandments.
40-20:15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will
with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?
40-22:10 So those servants went out into the
highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
40-25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good
and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make
thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
40-25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful
over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the
joy of thy lord.
40-26:10 When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye
the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon
me.
40-26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written
of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.
41-3:4 And he saith unto them, Is it
lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do
evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
41-4:8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and
increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.
41-4:20 And these are they which are sown on
good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some
thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
41-6:50 For they all saw him, and were
troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
41-9:5 And Peter answered and said to
Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and
let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for
Elias.
41-9:50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost
his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have
peace one with another.
41-10:17 And when he was gone forth into the
way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit
eternal life?
41-10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest
thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
41-10:49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded
him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
41-14:6 And Jesus said, Let her alone; why
trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on
me.
41-14:7 For ye have the poor with you
always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good:
but me ye have not always.
41-14:21 The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is
written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.
42-1:3 It seemed good
to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first,
to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,
42-1:53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.
42-2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear
not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of
great joy, which shall be to all people.
42-2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and on
earth peace, good will toward men.
42-3:9 And now also the ax is laid unto
the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
42-6:9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will
ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?
42-6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love
your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
42-6:33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you,
what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
42-6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your
reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is
kind unto the unthankful and to the
evil.
42-6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto
you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken
together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same
measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
42-6:43 For a good
tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
42-6:45 A good
man out of the good treasure of his heart
bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil
man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil:
for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
42-8:8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an
hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to
hear, let him hear.
42-8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
42-8:48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be
of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole;
go in peace.
42-9:33 And it came to pass, as they
departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for
thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.
42-10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in
spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou
hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto
babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in
thy sight.
42-10:42 But one thing is needful: and Mary
hath chosen that good part, which shall not be
taken away from her.
42-11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to
give good gifts unto your children: how much more
shall your heavenly Father give the
Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
42-12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is
your Father’s good pleasure to give you the
kingdom.
42-14:34 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost
his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
42-16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that
thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things,
and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art
tormented.
42-18:18 And a certain ruler asked him,
saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit
eternal life?
42-18:19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest
thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
42-19:17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very
little, have thou authority over ten cities.
42-23:50 And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just:
43-1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can
there any good thing come out of Nazareth?
Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
43-2:10 And saith unto him, Every man at the
beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men
have well drunk, then that which is worse: but
thou hast kept the good wine until now.
43-5:29 And shall come forth; they that have
done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they
that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
43-7:12 And there was much murmuring among
the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good
man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people.
43-10:11 I am the good
shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for
the sheep.
43-10:14 I am the good
shepherd, and know my sheep, and am
known of mine.
43-10:32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which
of those works do ye stone me?
43-10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and
because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
43-16:33 These things I have spoken unto you,
that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be
of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
44-4:9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he
is made whole;
44-9:36 Now there was at Joppa a certain
disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman
was full of good works and almsdeeds which she
did.
44-10:22 And they said, Cornelius the
centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God
by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
44-10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth
with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the
devil; for God was with him.
44-11:24 For he was a good
man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto
the Lord.
44-14:17 Nevertheless he left not himself
without witness, in that he did good, and gave
us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and
gladness.
44-15:7 And when there had been much
disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good
while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear
the word of the gospel, and believe.
44-15:25 It seemed good
unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our
beloved Barnabas and Paul,
44-15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater
burden than these necessary things;
44-15:38 But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them
from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
44-18:18 And Paul after this tarried there yet
a good while, and then took his leave of the
brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila;
having shorn his head in Cenchrea:
for he had a vow.
44-22:12 And one Ananias, a devout man
according to the law, having a good report of
all the Jews which dwelt there,
44-23:1 And Paul, earnestly beholding the
council, said, Men and brethren, I
have lived in all good conscience before God
until this day.
44-23:11 And the night following the Lord
stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul:
for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also
at Rome.
44-27:22 And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man’s life among you, but of the
ship.
44-27:25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even
as it was told me.
44-27:36 Then were they all of good cheer, and they also took some meat.
45-2:10 But glory, honour, and peace, to
every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and
also to the Gentile:
45-3:8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we
say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose
damnation is just.
45-3:12 They are all gone out of the way,
they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
45-5:7 For scarcely for a righteous man
will one die: yet peradventure for a good man
some would even dare to die.
45-7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and
just, and good.
45-7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it
might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good;
that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
45-7:16 If then I do that which I would not,
I consent unto the law that it is good.
45-7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in
my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will
is present with me; but how to
perform that which is good I find not.
45-7:19 For the good
that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
45-7:21 I find then a law, that, when I
would do good, evil is present with me.
45-8:28 And we know that all things work
together for good to them that love God, to them
who are the called according to his purpose.
45-9:11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to
election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
45-10:15 And how shall they preach, except they
be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the
gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good
things!
45-11:24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive
tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be
the natural branches, be grafted into
their own olive tree?
45-12:2 And be not conformed to this world:
but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good,
and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
45-12:9 Let
love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that
which is good.
45-12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome
evil with good.
45-13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be
afraid of the power? do that which is good, and
thou shalt have praise of the same:
45-13:4 For he is the minister of God to
thee for good. But if thou do that which is
evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister
of God, a revenger to execute wrath
upon him that doeth evil.
45-14:16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
45-14:21 It
is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink
wine, nor any thing whereby thy
brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
45-15:2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
45-16:18 For they that are such serve not our
Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good
words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
45-16:19 For your obedience is come abroad
unto all men. I am glad therefore on
your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.
46-5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a
little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
46-7:1 Now concerning the things whereof
ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
46-7:8 I say therefore to the unmarried
and widows, It is good for them if they abide
even as I.
46-7:26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.
46-15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications
corrupt good manners.
47-5:10 For we must all appear before the
judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good
or bad.
47-6:8 By honour and dishonour, by evil
report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;
47-9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having
all sufficiency in all things, may
abound to every good work:
47-13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be
perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind,
live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
48-4:18 But it is good to be zealously affected
always in a good
thing, and not only when I am present
with you.
48-6:6 Let him that is taught in the word
communicate unto him that teacheth in all good
things.
48-6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let
us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
49-1:5 Having predestinated us unto the
adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
49-1:9 Having made known unto us the
mystery of his will, according to his good
pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
49-2:10 For we are his workmanship, created
in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath
before ordained that we should walk in them.
49-4:28 Let him that stole steal no more:
but rather let him labour, working with his
hands the thing which is good, that he may
have to give to him that needeth.
49-4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed
out of your mouth, but that which is good to the
use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
49-6:7 With good
will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
49-6:8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of
the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
50-1:6 Being confident of this very thing,
that he which hath begun a good work in you will
perform it until the day of Jesus
Christ:
50-1:15 Some indeed preach Christ even of
envy and strife; and some also of good will:
50-2:13 For it is God which worketh in you
both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
50-2:19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to
send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good
comfort, when I know your state.
50-4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever
things are true, whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report; if there
be any virtue, and if there be any
praise, think on these things.
51-1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the
Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good
work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
52-3:1 Wherefore when we could no longer
forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens
alone;
52-3:6 But now when Timotheus came from
you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your
faith and charity, and that ye have good
remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:
52-5:15 See that none render evil for evil
unto any man; but ever follow that
which is good, both among yourselves, and to all
men.
52-5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that
which is good.
53-1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for
you, that our God would count you worthy of this
calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of
his goodness, and the work of faith
with power:
53-2:16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself,
and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
53-2:17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish
you in every good word and work.
54-1:5 Now the end of the commandment is
charity out of a pure heart, and of a
good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
54-1:8 But we know that the law is good,
if a man use it lawfully;
54-1:18 This charge I commit unto thee, son
Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by
them mightest war a good warfare;
54-1:19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning
faith have made shipwreck:
54-2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight
of God our Saviour;
54-2:10 But (which becometh women professing
godliness) with good works.
54-3:1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he
desireth a good work.
54-3:2 A bishop then must be blameless,
the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good
behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
54-3:7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall
into reproach and the snare of the devil.
54-3:13 For they that have used the office of
a deacon well purchase to themselves a good
degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
54-4:4 For every creature of God is good,
and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
54-4:6 If thou put the brethren in
remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good
minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
54-5:4 But if any widow have children or
nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their
parents: for that is good and acceptable before
God.
54-5:10 Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she
have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have
relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
54-5:25 Likewise also the good works of
some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.
54-6:12 Fight the good
fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and
hast professed a good profession before many
witnesses.
54-6:13 I give thee charge in the sight of
God, who quickeneth all things, and before
Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
54-6:18 That they do good, that they be rich in good
works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
54-6:19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they
may lay hold on eternal life.
55-1:14 That good
thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in
us.
55-2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as
a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
55-2:21 If a man therefore purge himself
from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the
master’s use, and prepared unto every
good work.
55-3:3 Without natural affection,
trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are
good,
55-3:17 That the man of God may be perfect,
throughly furnished unto all good works.
55-4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
56-1:8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover
of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
56-1:16 They profess that they know God; but
in works they deny him, being
abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good
work reprobate.
56-2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh
holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
56-2:5 To
be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good,
obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
56-2:7 In all things shewing thyself a
pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity,
sincerity,
56-2:10 Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God
our Saviour in all things.
56-2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he
might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people,
zealous of good works.
56-3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to
principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
56-3:8 This
is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly,
that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good
and profitable unto men.
56-3:14 And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not
unfruitful.
57-1:6 That the communication of thy faith
may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good
thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
58-5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them
that are of full age, even those who by
reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
58-6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
58-9:11 But Christ being come an high priest
of good things to come, by a greater and more
perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
58-10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those
sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers
thereunto perfect.
58-10:24 And let us consider one another to
provoke unto love and to good works:
58-11:2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
58-11:12 Therefore sprang there even of one,
and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which
is by the sea shore innumerable.
58-11:39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
58-13:9 Be not carried about with divers and
strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace;
not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
58-13:16 But to do good
and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
58-13:18 Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live
honestly.
58-13:21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is
wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
59-1:17 Every good
gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of
lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
59-2:3 And ye have respect to him that
weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or
sit here under my footstool:
59-3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out
of a good conversation his works with meekness
of wisdom.
59-3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is
first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy
to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits,
without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
59-4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it
not, to him it is sin.
60-2:12 Having your conversation honest
among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may
by your good
works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
60-2:18 Servants, be subject to your masters
with all fear; not only to the good and gentle,
but also to the froward.
60-3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and
his lips that they speak no guile:
60-3:11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
60-3:13 And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
60-3:16 Having a good
conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed
that falsely accuse your good conversation in
Christ.
60-3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not
the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of
Jesus Christ:
60-4:10 As every man hath received the gift,
even so minister the same one to
another, as good stewards of the manifold grace
of God.
62-3:17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up
his bowels of compassion from him,
how dwelleth the love of God in him?
64-1:11 Beloved, follow not that which is
evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen
God.
64-1:12 Demetrius hath good report of all men,
and of the truth itself: yea, and we also
bear record; and ye know that our record is true.
