01-1:26 And
God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the
fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every
creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
01-1:28 And
God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and
replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have
dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every
living thing that moveth upon the earth.
01-1:29 And
God said, Behold, I have given you every herb
bearing seed, which is upon the face
of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
01-1:30 And
to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing
that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there
is life, I have
given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
01-4:1 And
Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
01-4:20 And
Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have
cattle.
01-4:23 And
Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech,
hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man
to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.
01-6:7 And
the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have
created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping
thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
01-7:1 And
the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
01-7:4 For
yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty
nights; and every living substance that I have
made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
01-8:21 And
the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not
again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s
heart is evil from his youth; neither
will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have
done.
01-9:3 Every
moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
01-9:17 And
God said unto Noah, This is the token
of the covenant, which I have established
between me and all flesh that is upon
the earth.
01-11:6 And
the LORD said, Behold, the people is one,
and they have all one language; and this they
begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
01-12:19 Why
saidst thou, She is my sister? so I
might have taken her to me to wife: now
therefore behold thy wife, take her, and
go thy way.
01-14:22 And
Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up
mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
01-14:23 That
I will not take from a thread even to
a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have
made Abram rich:
01-14:24 Save
only that which the young men have eaten, and
the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them
take their portion.
01-15:18 In
the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto
the great river, the river Euphrates:
01-16:5 And
Sarai said unto Abram, My wrong be upon
thee: I have given my maid into thy bosom; and
when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her eyes: the LORD judge
between me and thee.
01-16:13 And
she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she
said, Have I also here looked after him that
seeth me?
01-17:5 Neither
shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a
father of many nations have I made thee.
01-17:20 And
as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will
multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a
great nation.
01-18:3 And
said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy
sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:
01-18:10 And
he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and,
lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah
heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.
01-18:12 Therefore
Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
01-18:14 Is
any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee,
according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have
a son.
01-18:21 I
will go down now, and see whether they have done
altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I
will know.
01-18:27 And
Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have
taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am
but dust and ashes:
01-18:31 And
he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to
speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he
said, I will not destroy it for
twenty’s sake.
01-19:8 Behold
now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out
unto you, and do ye to them as is good
in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the
shadow of my roof.
01-19:21 And
he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee
concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which
thou hast spoken.
01-20:5 Said
he not unto me, She is my sister? and
she, even she herself said, He is my
brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.
01-20:9 Then
Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and
what have I offended thee, that thou hast
brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that
ought not to be done.
01-20:16 And
unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy
brother a thousand pieces of silver:
behold, he is to thee a covering of
the eyes, unto all that are with
thee, and with all other: thus she
was reproved.
01-21:7 And
she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that
Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a
son in his old age.
01-21:23 Now
therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor
with my son, nor with my son’s son: but according
to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou
shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned.
01-21:30 And
he said, For these seven ewe lambs
shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well.
01-22:16 And
said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD,
for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine
only son:
01-24:19 And
when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have
done drinking.
01-24:25 She
said moreover unto him, We have both straw and
provender enough, and room to lodge in.
01-24:31 And
he said, Come in, thou blessed of the LORD; wherefore standest thou without?
for I have prepared the house, and room for the
camels.
01-24:33 And
there was set meat before him to eat:
but he said, I will not eat, until I have told
mine errand. And he said, Speak on.
01-26:10 And
Abimelech said, What is this thou
hast done unto us? one of the people might lightly have
lien with thy wife, and thou shouldest have
brought guiltiness upon us.
01-26:27 And
Isaac said unto them, Wherefore come ye to me, seeing ye hate me, and have sent me away from you?
01-26:29 That
thou wilt do us no hurt, as we have not touched
thee, and as we have done unto thee nothing but
good, and have sent thee away in peace: thou art now the blessed of the LORD.
01-26:32 And
it came to pass the same day, that Isaac’s servants came, and told him
concerning the well which they had digged, and said unto him, We have found water.
01-27:19 And
Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau
thy firstborn; I have done according as thou
badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may
bless me.
01-27:33 And
Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is he that hath taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all
before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be blessed.
01-27:37 And
Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have
made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I
given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have
I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son?
01-27:40 And
by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to
pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that
thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.
01-28:15 And,
behold, I am with thee, and will keep
thee in all places whither thou
goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee,
until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.
01-28:22 And
this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and
of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.
01-29:34 And
she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be
joined unto me, because I have born him three
sons: therefore was his name called Levi.
01-30:3 And
she said, Behold my maid Bilhah, go in unto her; and she shall bear upon my
knees, that I may also have children by her.
01-30:8 And
Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I
wrestled with my sister, and I have prevailed:
and she called his name Naphtali.
01-30:16 And
Jacob came out of the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him, and
said, Thou must come in unto me; for surely I have
hired thee with my son’s mandrakes. And he lay with her that night.
01-30:18 And
Leah said, God hath given me my hire, because I have
given my maiden to my husband: and she called his name Issachar.
01-30:20 And
Leah said, God hath endued me with a
good dowry; now will my husband dwell with me, because I have born him six sons: and she called his name
Zebulun.
01-30:26 Give
me my wives and my children, for whom
I have served thee, and let me go: for thou
knowest my service which I have done thee.
01-30:27 And
Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have
found favour in thine eyes, tarry: for I
have learned by experience that the LORD hath
blessed me for thy sake.
01-30:29 And
he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served
thee, and how thy cattle was with me.
01-31:6 And
ye know that with all my power I have served
your father.
01-31:12 And
he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the
cattle are ringstraked, speckled, and
grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth
unto thee.
01-31:27 Wherefore
didst thou flee away secretly, and steal away from me; and didst not tell me,
that I might have sent thee away with mirth, and
with songs, with tabret, and with harp?
01-31:38 This
twenty years have
I been with thee; thy ewes and
thy she goats have not cast their young, and the
rams of thy flock have I not eaten.
01-31:41 Thus
have I been twenty years in thy house; I served
thee fourteen years for thy two daughters, and six years for thy cattle: and
thou hast changed my wages ten times.
01-31:43 And
Laban answered and said unto Jacob, These
daughters are my daughters, and these children are my children, and these cattle
are my cattle, and all that thou
seest is mine: and what can I do this
day unto these my daughters, or unto their children which they have born?
01-31:51 And
Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and behold this pillar, which I have cast
betwixt me and thee;
01-32:4 And
he commanded them, saying, Thus shall ye speak unto my lord Esau; Thy servant
Jacob saith thus, I have sojourned with Laban,
and stayed there until now:
01-32:5 And
I have oxen, and asses, flocks, and menservants,
and womenservants: and I have sent to tell my
lord, that I may find grace in thy sight.
01-32:30 And
Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have
seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
01-33:9 And
Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that
thou hast unto thyself.
01-33:10 And
Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have
found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of
God, and thou wast pleased with me.
01-33:11 Take,
I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt
graciously with me, and because I have enough.
And he urged him, and he took it.
01-34:30 And
Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, Ye have troubled
me to make me to stink among the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites
and the Perizzites: and I being few
in number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and slay me; and I
shall be destroyed, I and my house.
01-35:17 And
it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her,
Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.
01-37:6 And
he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:
01-37:8 And
his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed
have dominion over us? And they hated him yet
the more for his dreams, and for his words.
01-37:9 And
he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and
the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.
01-37:32 And
they sent the coat of many colours,
and they brought it to their father;
and said, This have we found: know now whether
it be thy son’s coat or no.
01-40:8 And
they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and
there is no interpreter of it. And
Joseph said unto them, Do not
interpretations belong to God? tell
me them, I pray you.
01-40:15 For
indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the
dungeon.
01-41:15 And
Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a
dream, and there is none that can
interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to
interpret it.
01-41:28 This
is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh.
01-41:41 And
Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee
over all the land of Egypt.
01-42:2 And
he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn
in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live,
and not die.
01-42:36 And
Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye
bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin away: all these things are against me.
01-43:7 And
they said, The man asked us straitly of our state, and of our kindred, saying, Is your father yet alive? have ye another brother?
and we told him according to the tenor of these words: could we certainly know
that he would say, Bring your brother down?
01-43:21 And
it came to pass, when we came to the inn, that we opened our sacks, and,
behold, every man’s money was in the mouth of his sack, our money
in full weight: and we have brought it again in
our hand.
01-43:22 And
other money have we brought down in our hands to
buy food: we cannot tell who put our money in our sacks.
01-44:4 And when they were gone out of the city,
and not yet far off, Joseph said unto his steward, Up, follow after the
men; and when thou dost overtake them, say unto them, Wherefore have ye rewarded evil for good?
01-44:5 Is not this it in which my lord drinketh, and whereby indeed he divineth? ye have done evil in so doing.
01-44:15 And
Joseph said unto them, What deed is this
that ye have done? wot ye not that such a man as
I can certainly divine?
01-44:19 My
lord asked his servants, saying, Have ye a
father, or a brother?
01-44:20 And
we said unto my lord, We have a father, an old man,
and a child of his old age, a little one; and his brother is dead, and he alone
is left of his mother, and his father loveth him.
01-45:13 And
ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father
hither.
01-46:30 And
Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have
seen thy face, because thou art yet
alive.
01-46:32 And
the men are shepherds, for their
trade hath been to feed cattle; and they have
brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.
01-47:1 Then
Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their
flocks, and their herds, and all that they have,
are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen.
01-47:4 They
said moreover unto Pharaoh, For to sojourn in the land are we come; for thy
servants have no pasture for their flocks; for
the famine is sore in the land of
Canaan: now therefore, we pray thee, let thy servants dwell in the land of
Goshen.
01-47:9 And
Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years: few and
evil have the days of the years of my life been,
and have not attained unto the days of the years
of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.
01-47:23 Then
Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have
bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land.
01-47:26 And
Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part; except the land of the priests
only, which became not Pharaoh’s.
01-47:29 And
the time drew nigh that Israel must die: and he called his son Joseph, and said
unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight,
put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me;
bury me not, I pray thee, in Egypt:
01-48:22 Moreover
I have given to thee one portion above thy
brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my
bow.
01-49:18 I
have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.
01-49:23 The
archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
01-49:26 The
blessings of thy father have prevailed above the
blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills:
they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that
was separate from his brethren.
01-50:4 And
when the days of his mourning were past, Joseph spake unto the house of
Pharaoh, saying, If now I have found grace in
your eyes, speak, I pray you, in the ears of Pharaoh, saying,
01-50:5 My
father made me swear, saying, Lo, I die: in my grave which I have digged for me in the land of Canaan, there shalt
thou bury me. Now therefore let me go up, I pray thee, and bury my father, and
I will come again.
02-1:18 And
the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have
saved the men children alive?
02-2:20 And
he said unto his daughters, And where is he?
why is it that ye have left the man? call him,
that he may eat bread.
02-2:22 And
she bare him a son, and he called his
name Gershom: for he said, I have been a
stranger in a strange land.
02-3:7 And
the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction
of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters;
for I know their sorrows;
02-3:9 Now
therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians
oppress them.
02-3:12 And
he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have
sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve
God upon this mountain.
02-3:16 Go,
and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of
your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me,
saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:
02-3:17 And
I have said, I will bring you up out of the
affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the
Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land
flowing with milk and honey.
02-4:11 And
the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or
deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I
the LORD?
02-4:21 And
the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou
do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have
put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the
people go.
02-5:14 And
the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set
over them, were beaten, and demanded,
Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in
making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?
02-5:21 And
they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of
Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay
us.
02-6:4 And
I have also established my covenant with them,
to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they
were strangers.
02-6:5 And
I have also heard the groaning of the children of
Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have
remembered my covenant.
02-6:12 And
Moses spake before the LORD, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh
hear me, who am of uncircumcised
lips?
02-7:1 And
the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee
a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
02-9:16 And
in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may
be declared throughout all the earth.
02-9:27 And
Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
02-10:1 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have
hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my
signs before him:
02-10:2 And
that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son’s son, what things
I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD.
02-10:6 And
they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses
of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers’ fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth
unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.
02-10:16 Then
Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against
you.
02-12:17 And
ye shall observe the feast of unleavened
bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought
your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in
your generations by an ordinance for ever.
02-12:31 And
he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of
Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said.
02-12:32 Also
take your flocks and your herds, as ye have
said, and be gone; and bless me also.
02-14:5 And
it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh
and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have
let Israel go from serving us?
02-14:13 And
Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of
the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for
ever.
02-14:18 And
the Egyptians shall know that I am the
LORD, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh,
upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
02-15:5 The
depths have covered them: they sank into the
bottom as a stone.
02-15:17 Thou
shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for thee to dwell
in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have
established.
02-15:26 And
said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and
wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his
commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon
thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians:
for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
02-16:3 And
the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of
the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full;
for ye have brought us forth into this
wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.
02-16:12 I
have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel:
speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye
shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God.
02-16:32 And
Moses said, This is the thing which
the LORD commandeth, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that
they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you
in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.
02-17:16 For
he said, Because the LORD hath sworn that
the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.
02-18:3 And
her two sons; of which the name of the one was
Gershom; for he said, I have been an alien
in a strange land:
02-18:16 When
they have a matter, they come unto me; and I
judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes of God, and his laws.
02-19:4 Ye
have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and
brought you unto myself.
02-20:2 I
am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the
house of bondage.
02-20:3 Thou
shalt have no other gods before me.
02-20:22 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have
talked with you from heaven.
02-21:4 If
his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughters; the wife and her
children shall be her master’s, and he shall go out by himself.
02-21:8 If
she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let
her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with
her.
02-21:9 And
if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall
deal with her after the manner of daughters.
02-21:31 Whether
he have gored a son, or have
gored a daughter, according to this judgment shall it be done unto him.
02-22:3 If
the sun be risen upon him, there shall be
blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if
he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his
theft.
02-22:8 If
the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the
judges, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods.
02-23:13 And
in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention
of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.
02-23:20 Behold,
I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into
the place which I have prepared.
02-24:12 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I
will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.
02-24:14 And
he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you:
and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with
you: if any man have any matters to do, let him
come unto them.
02-26:2 The
length of one curtain shall be eight
and twenty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: and every one of
the curtains shall have one measure.
02-28:3 And
thou shalt speak unto all that are wise
hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of
wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may
minister unto me in the priest’s office.
02-28:7 It
shall have the two shoulder pieces thereof
joined at the two edges thereof; and so it
shall be joined together.
02-28:32 And
there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of
it, as it were the hole of an habergeon, that it be not rent.
02-29:35 And
thus shalt thou do unto Aaron, and to his sons, according to all things which I have
commanded thee: seven days shalt thou consecrate them.
02-31:2 See,
I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri,
the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:
02-31:3 And
I have filled him with the spirit of God, in
wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of
workmanship,
02-31:6 And
I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the
son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise
hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make
all that I have commanded thee;
02-31:11 And
the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the holy place: according to all that I have
commanded thee shall they do.
02-32:7 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou
broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have
corrupted themselves:
02-32:8 They
have turned aside quickly out of the way which I
commanded them: they have made them a molten
calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
02-32:9 And
the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this
people, and, behold, it is a
stiffnecked people:
02-32:13 Remember
Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own
self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven,
and all this land that I have spoken of will I
give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it
for ever.
02-32:30 And
it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the
LORD; peradventure I shall make an atonement for your sin.
02-32:31 And
Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have
made them gods of gold.
02-32:34 Therefore
now go, lead the people unto the place of
which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine
Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit
their sin upon them.
02-33:13 Now
therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in
thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in
thy sight: and consider that this nation is
thy people.
02-33:16 For
wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have
found grace in thy sight? is it not
in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from
all the people that are upon the face
of the earth.
02-34:9 And
he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight,
O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and
take us for thine inheritance.
02-34:10 And
he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels,
such as have not been done in all the earth, nor
in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.
02-34:27 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these
words I have made a covenant with thee and with
Israel.
03-4:13 And
if the whole congregation of Israel sin through ignorance, and the thing be hid
from the eyes of the assembly, and they have
done somewhat against any of the commandments
of the LORD concerning things which
should not be done, and are guilty;
03-4:14 When
the sin, which they have sinned against it, is
known, then the congregation shall offer a young bullock for the sin, and bring
him before the tabernacle of the congregation.
03-6:3 Or
have found that which was lost, and lieth
concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth,
sinning therein:
03-6:17 It
shall not be baken with leaven. I have given it unto them for their portion of my offerings
made by fire; it is most holy, as is the sin offering, and as the trespass
offering.
03-7:7 As
the sin offering is, so is the trespass offering: there is one law for them: the priest
that maketh atonement therewith shall have it.
03-7:8 And
the priest that offereth any man’s burnt offering, even the priest shall have to
himself the skin of the burnt offering which he hath offered.
03-7:10 And
every meat offering, mingled with oil, and dry, shall all the sons of Aaron have, one as
much as another.
03-7:33 He
among the sons of Aaron, that offereth the blood of the peace offerings, and
the fat, shall have the right shoulder for his part.
03-7:34 For
the wave breast and the heave shoulder have I
taken of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of their peace
offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the
priest and unto his sons by a statute for ever from among the children of
Israel.
03-10:17 Wherefore
have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy
place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the
iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD?
03-10:18 Behold,
the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten
it in the holy place, as I commanded.
03-10:19 And
Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have
they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the LORD; and
such things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day,
should it have been accepted in the sight of the
LORD?
03-11:10 And
all that have not fins and scales in the seas,
and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing
which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
03-11:11 They
shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye
shall have their carcases in abomination.
03-11:13 And
these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be
eaten, they are an abomination: the
eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
03-11:21 Yet
these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have
legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;
03-11:23 But
all other flying creeping things,
which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.
03-12:2 Speak
unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have
conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days;
according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean.
03-13:2 When
a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a
rising, a scab, or bright spot, and it be in the skin of his flesh like the plague of leprosy; then he
shall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests:
03-13:10 And
the priest shall see him: and,
behold, if the rising be white in the skin, and it have turned the hair white, and there be quick raw flesh in the rising;
03-13:13 Then
the priest shall consider: and, behold, if
the leprosy have covered all his flesh, he
shall pronounce him clean that hath the plague: it is all turned
white: he is clean.
03-13:24 Or
if there be any flesh, in the skin
whereof there is a hot burning, and
the quick flesh that burneth have a white bright spot, somewhat reddish, or white;
03-13:29 If
a man or woman have a plague upon the head or
the beard;
03-13:38 If
a man also or a woman have in the skin of their
flesh bright spots, even white bright
spots;
03-13:55 And
the priest shall look on the plague, after that it is washed: and, behold, if the plague have
not changed his colour, and the plague be not spread; it is unclean; thou shalt burn it in the fire; it is fret inward, whether it
be bare within or without.
03-15:19 And
if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven
days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.
03-15:25 And
if a woman have an issue of her blood many days
out of the time of her separation, or if it run beyond the time of her
separation; all the days of the issue of her uncleanness shall be as the days
of her separation: she shall be unclean.
03-16:4 He
shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have
the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and
with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.
03-16:17 And
there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to
make an atonement in the holy place, until
he come out, and have made an atonement for
himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.
03-17:7 And
they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever
unto them throughout their generations.
03-17:11 For
the life of the flesh is in the
blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar
to make an atonement for your souls: for it is
the blood that maketh an
atonement for the soul.
03-18:27 (For
all these abominations have the men of the land
done, which were before you, and the
land is defiled;)
03-19:23 And
when ye shall come into the land, and shall have
planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as
uncircumcised: three years shall it be as uncircumcised unto you: it shall not
be eaten of.
03-19:31 Regard
not them that have familiar spirits, neither
seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
03-19:36 Just
balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the
LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.
03-20:6 And
the soul that turneth after such as have
familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even
set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
03-20:12 And
if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to
death: they have wrought confusion; their blood shall be upon them.
03-20:13 If
a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be
put to death; their blood shall be upon
them.
03-20:24 But
I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their
land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk
and honey: I am the LORD your God,
which have separated you from other people.
03-20:25 Ye
shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between
unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast,
or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which
I have separated from you as unclean.
03-20:26 And
ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am
holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.
03-22:13 But
if the priest’s daughter be a widow, or divorced, and have
no child, and is returned unto her father’s house, as in her youth, she shall
eat of her father’s meat: but there shall no stranger eat thereof.
03-23:7 In
the first day ye shall have an holy convocation:
ye shall do no servile work therein.
03-23:14 And
ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the
selfsame day that ye have brought an offering
unto your God: it shall be a statute
for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
03-23:24 Speak
unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an
holy convocation.
03-23:39 Also
in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have
gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven
days: on the first day shall be a
sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a
sabbath.
03-24:22 Ye
shall have one manner of law, as well for the
stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God.
03-25:26 And
if the man have none to redeem it, and himself
be able to redeem it;
03-25:31 But
the houses of the villages which have no wall round
about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed,
and they shall go out in the jubile.
03-25:44 Both
thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have,
shall be of the heathen that are
round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.
03-26:9 For
I will have respect unto you, and make you
fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.
03-26:13 I
am the LORD your God, which brought you
forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go
upright.
03-26:26 And when I have
broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven,
and they shall deliver you your bread
again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.
03-26:37 And
they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none
pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand
before your enemies.
03-26:40 If
they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with
their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;
03-26:41 And
that I also have
walked contrary unto them, and have brought them
into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled,
and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:
03-27:20 And
if he will not redeem the field, or if he have
sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more.
04-3:12 And
I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among
the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn that openeth the matrix
among the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine;
04-3:32 And
Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall
be chief over the chief of the Levites, and
have the oversight of them that keep the
charge of the sanctuary.
04-4:15 And
when Aaron and his sons have made an end of
covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to
set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of
Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.
04-5:7 Then
they shall confess their sin which they have
done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add
unto it the fifth part thereof, and
give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.
04-5:8 But
if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass
unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto the LORD, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, whereby an
atonement shall be made for him.
04-5:18 And
the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and uncover the woman’s head,
and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the
curse:
04-5:19 And
the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside
to uncleanness with another instead
of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:
04-5:20 But
if thou hast gone aside to another instead
of thy husband, and if thou be defiled, and some man have
lain with thee beside thine husband:
04-5:27 And
when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water
that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall
rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.
04-8:16 For
they are wholly given unto me from
among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the
children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
04-8:18 And
I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn
of the children of Israel.
04-8:19 And
I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel,
to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the
congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there
be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come
nigh unto the sanctuary.
04-9:14 And
if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the
LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner
thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one
ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.
04-11:11 And
Moses said unto the LORD, Wherefore hast thou afflicted thy servant? and
wherefore have I not found favour in thy sight,
that thou layest the burden of all this people upon me?
04-11:12 Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto me,
Carry them in thy bosom, as a nursing father beareth the sucking child, unto
the land which thou swarest unto their fathers?
04-11:13 Whence
should I have flesh to give unto all this
people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.
04-11:15 And
if thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of hand, if I have found favour in thy sight; and let me not see my
wretchedness.
04-11:18 And
say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall
eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the
LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you
flesh, and ye shall eat.
04-11:20 But even a whole month, until it come
out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised the LORD which is among you, and have wept before
him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?
04-12:11 And
Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us,
wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
04-13:32 And
they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the
children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have
gone to search it, is a land that
eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
04-14:11 And
the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will
it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have
shewed among them?
04-14:14 And
they will tell it to the inhabitants
of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time
in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.
04-14:15 Now
if thou shalt kill all this people as one man, then the
nations which have heard the fame of thee will
speak, saying,
04-14:20 And
the LORD said, I have pardoned according to thy
word:
04-14:22 Because
all those men which have seen my glory, and my
miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;
04-14:27 How
long shall I bear with this evil
congregation, which murmur against me? I have
heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.
04-14:28 Say
unto them, As truly as I live, saith
the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so
will I do to you:
04-14:29 Your
carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you,
according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me,
04-14:31 But
your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and
they shall know the land which ye have despised.
04-14:35 I
the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all
this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this
wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.
04-14:40 And
they rose up early in the morning, and gat them up into the top of the
mountain, saying, Lo, we be here, and
will go up unto the place which the LORD hath promised: for we have sinned.
04-15:22 And
if ye have erred, and not observed all these
commandments, which the LORD hath spoken unto Moses,
04-15:29 Ye
shall have one law for him that sinneth through
ignorance, both for him that is born among
the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.
04-16:15 And
Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering:
I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.
04-16:28 And
Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these
works; for I have
not done them of mine own mind.
04-16:30 But
if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them
up, with all that appertain unto
them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these
men have provoked the LORD.
04-16:41 But
on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against
Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed
the people of the LORD.
04-18:6 And
I, behold, I have taken your brethren the
Levites from among the children of Israel: to you they are given as a gift
for the LORD, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
04-18:7 Therefore
thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priest’s office for every thing of
the altar, and within the vail; and ye shall serve: I have
given your priest’s office unto you as
a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
04-18:8 And
the LORD spake unto Aaron, Behold, I also have
given thee the charge of mine heave offerings of all the hallowed things of the
children of Israel; unto thee have I given them
by reason of the anointing, and to thy sons, by an ordinance for ever.
04-18:11 And
this is thine; the heave offering of
their gift, with all the wave offerings of the children of Israel: I have given them unto thee, and to thy sons and to thy
daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: every one that is clean in thy
house shall eat of it.
04-18:12 All
the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the
firstfruits of them which they shall offer unto the LORD, them have I given thee.
04-18:19 All
the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto
the LORD, have I given thee, and thy sons and
thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD unto thee and to thy
seed with thee.
04-18:20 And
the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no
inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have
any part among them: I am thy part
and thine inheritance among the children of Israel.
04-18:21 And,
behold, I have given the children of Levi all
the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of
the congregation.
04-18:23 But
the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and
they shall bear their iniquity: it shall
be a statute for ever throughout your generations, that among the children
of Israel they have no inheritance.
04-18:24 But
the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the LORD, I have
given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have
said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.
04-18:26 Thus
speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of
Israel the tithes which I have given you from them
for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the
LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe.
04-18:30 Therefore
thou shalt say unto them, When ye have heaved
the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the
increase of the threshingfloor, and as the increase of the winepress.
04-18:32 And
ye shall bear no sin by reason of it, when ye have
heaved from it the best of it: neither shall ye pollute the holy things of the
children of Israel, lest ye die.
04-20:4 And
why have ye brought up the congregation of the
LORD into this wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there?
04-20:5 And
wherefore have ye made us to come up out of
Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates;
neither is there any water to drink.
04-20:12 And
the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me
in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this
congregation into the land which I have given
them.
04-20:15 How
our fathers went down into Egypt, and we have
dwelt in Egypt a long time; and the Egyptians vexed us, and our fathers:
04-20:17 Let
us pass, I pray thee, through thy country: we will not pass through the fields,
or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go by the king’s high way, we will not turn to the right
hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy
borders.
04-20:24 Aaron
shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I
have given unto the children of Israel, because
ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.
04-21:5 And
the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the
wilderness? for there is no bread,
neither is there any water; and our
soul loatheth this light bread.
04-21:7 Therefore
the people came to Moses, and said, We have
sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and
against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And
Moses prayed for the people.
04-21:30 We
have shot at them; Heshbon is perished even unto
Dibon, and we have laid them waste even unto
Nophah, which reacheth unto Medeba.
04-21:34 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have
delivered him into thy hand, and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt
do to him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at
Heshbon.
04-22:28 And
the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these
three times?
04-22:34 And
Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD, I have
sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore,
if it displease thee, I will get me back again.
04-22:38 And
Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto thee: have
I now any power at all to say any thing? the word that God putteth in my mouth,
that shall I speak.
04-23:4 And
God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have
prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram.
04-23:20 Behold,
I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.
04-24:19 Out
of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion,
and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.
04-25:13 And
he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting
priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the
children of Israel.
04-25:18 For
they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have
beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of
a prince of Midian, their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for
Peor’s sake.
04-27:8 And
thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to
pass unto his daughter.
04-27:9 And
if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his
inheritance unto his brethren.
04-27:10 And
if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his
inheritance unto his father’s brethren.
04-27:11 And
if his father have no brethren, then ye shall
give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he
shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of
judgment, as the LORD commanded Moses.
04-27:12 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land
which I have given unto the children of Israel.
04-27:17 Which
may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead
them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not
as sheep which have no shepherd.
04-28:25 And
on the seventh day ye shall have an holy
convocation; ye shall do no servile work.
04-28:26 Also
in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat offering unto the LORD,
after your weeks be out, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work:
04-29:1 And
in the seventh month, on the first day of
the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye
shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.
04-29:7 And
ye shall have on the tenth day of this seventh month an holy convocation; and ye shall afflict
your souls: ye shall not do any work therein:
04-29:12 And
on the fifteenth day of the seventh month ye shall have
an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work, and ye shall keep a feast
unto the LORD seven days:
04-29:35 On
the eighth day ye shall have a solemn assembly:
ye shall do no servile work therein:
04-30:9 But
every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, wherewith they have bound their souls, shall stand against her.
04-31:15 And
Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the
women alive?
04-31:18 But
all the women children, that have not known a
man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
04-31:49 And
they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken
the sum of the men of war which are under
our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.
04-31:50 We
have therefore brought an oblation for the LORD,
what every man hath gotten, of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings,
earrings, and tablets, to make an atonement for our souls before the LORD.
04-32:4 Even the country which the LORD smote
before the congregation of Israel, is a
land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle:
04-32:5 Wherefore,
said they, if we have found grace in thy sight,
let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan.
04-32:11 Surely
none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward,
shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob;
because they have not wholly followed me:
04-32:12 Save
Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD.
04-32:17 But
we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones
shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land.
04-32:18 We
will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance.
04-32:23 But
if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against
the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.
04-32:30 But
if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have
possessions among you in the land of Canaan.
04-33:53 And
ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of
the land, and dwell therein: for I have given
you the land to possess it.
04-34:6 And
as for the western border, ye shall
even have the great sea for a border: this shall
be your west border.
04-34:14 For
the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and
the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their
inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have
received their inheritance:
04-34:15 The
two tribes and the half tribe have received
their inheritance on this side Jordan near
Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising.
04-35:3 And
the cities shall they have to dwell in; and the
suburbs of them shall be for their cattle, and for their goods, and for all
their beasts.
04-35:8 And
the cities which ye shall give shall be of
the possession of the children of Israel: from them that have many ye shall give
many; but from them that have few ye shall give few: every one shall give
of his cities unto the Levites according to his inheritance which he
inheriteth.
04-35:13 And
of these cities which ye shall give six cities shall ye have for refuge.
04-35:22 But
if he thrust him suddenly without enmity, or have
cast upon him any thing without laying of wait,
04-35:28 Because
he should have remained in the city of his refuge
until the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the
slayer shall return into the land of his possession.
05-1:6 The
LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have
dwelt long enough in this mount:
05-1:8 Behold,
I have set the land before you: go in and
possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and
Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.
05-1:28 Whither
shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged
our heart, saying, The people is greater
and taller than we; the cities are great
and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have
seen the sons of the Anakims there.
05-1:41 Then
ye answered and said unto me, We have sinned
against the LORD, we will go up and fight, according to all that the LORD our
God commanded us. And when ye had girded on every man his weapons of war, ye
were ready to go up into the hill.
05-2:3 Ye
have compassed this mountain long enough: turn
you northward.
05-2:5 Meddle
not with them; for I will not give you of their land, no, not so much as a foot
breadth; because I have given mount Seir unto
Esau for a possession.
05-2:9 And
the LORD said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither contend with them in battle:
for I will not give thee of their land for
a possession; because I have given Ar unto
the children of Lot for a possession.
05-2:19 And
when thou comest nigh over against
the children of Ammon, distress them not, nor meddle with them: for I will not
give thee of the land of the children of Ammon any possession; because I have given
it unto the children of Lot for a
possession.
05-2:24 Rise
ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of
Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it,
and contend with him in battle.
05-2:31 And
the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have begun to
give Sihon and his land before thee: begin to possess, that thou mayest inherit
his land.
05-3:19 But
your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (for I know that ye have much
cattle,) shall abide in your cities which I have
given you;
05-3:20 Until
the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as
well as unto you, and until they also
possess the land which the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his
possession, which I have given you.
05-3:21 And
I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have
seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the
LORD do unto all the kingdoms whither thou passest.
05-4:3 Your
eyes have seen what the LORD did because of
Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the LORD thy God hath
destroyed them from among you.
05-4:5 Behold,
I have taught you statutes and judgments, even
as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go
to possess it.
05-4:9 Only
take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things
which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart
from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’
sons;
05-4:25 When
thou shalt beget children, and children’s children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of
the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger:
05-5:7 Thou
shalt have none other gods before me.
05-5:24 And
ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness,
and we have heard his voice out of the midst of
the fire: we have seen this day that God doth
talk with man, and he liveth.
05-5:26 For
who is there of all flesh, that hath
heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and
lived?
05-5:28 And
the LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the LORD
said unto me, I have heard the voice of the
words of this people, which they have spoken
unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken.
05-6:10 And
it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have
brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to
Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst
not,
05-6:11 And
houses full of all good things, which
thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and
olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have
eaten and be full;
05-7:16 And
thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee;
thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither
shalt thou serve their gods; for that will
be a snare unto thee.
05-7:24 And
he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name
from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them.
05-9:7 Remember,
and forget not, how thou provokedst
the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst
depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD.
05-9:8 Also
in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you.
05-9:12 And
the LORD said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people
which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have
corrupted themselves; they are
quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.
05-9:13 Furthermore
the LORD spake unto me, saying, I have seen this
people, and, behold, it is a
stiffnecked people:
05-9:20 And
the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have
destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.
05-9:23 Likewise
when the LORD sent you from Kadeshbarnea, saying, Go up and possess the land
which I have given you; then ye rebelled against
the commandment of the LORD your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to
his voice.
05-9:24 Ye
have been rebellious against the LORD from the
day that I knew you.
05-10:21 He
is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee
these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have
seen.
05-11:2 And
know ye this day: for I speak not
with your children which have not known, and
which have not seen the chastisement of the LORD
your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his stretched out arm,
05-11:7 But
your eyes have seen all the great acts of the
LORD which he did.
05-11:28 And
a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn
aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods,
which ye have not known.
05-12:21 If
the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far
from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the LORD
hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and
thou shalt eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.
05-12:31 Thou
shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which
he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for
even their sons and their daughters they have
burnt in the fire to their gods.
05-13:13 Certain men, the children of Belial, are
gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the
inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;
05-13:17 And
there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that the LORD may
turn from the fierceness of his anger, and shew thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he
hath sworn unto thy fathers;
05-14:9 These
ye shall eat of all that are in the
waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye
eat:
05-15:21 And
if there be any blemish therein, as if it be lame, or blind, or have any
ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto the LORD thy God.
05-17:3 And
hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon,
or any of the host of heaven, which I have not
commanded;
05-17:5 Then
shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have
committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till
they die.
05-18:1 The
priests the Levites, and all the
tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor
inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire,
and his inheritance.
05-18:2 Therefore
shall they have no inheritance among their
brethren: the LORD is their
inheritance, as he hath said unto them.
05-18:8 They
shall have like portions to eat, beside that
which cometh of the sale of his patrimony.
05-18:17 And
the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
05-18:20 But
the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak
in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
05-19:14 Thou
shalt not remove thy neighbour’s landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt
inherit in the land that the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it.
05-19:19 Then
shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to have
done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you.
05-20:9 And
it shall be, when the officers have made an end
of speaking unto the people, that they shall make captains of the armies to
lead the people.
05-20:18 That
they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against
the LORD your God.
05-21:7 And
they shall answer and say, Our hands have not
shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it.
05-21:11 And
seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that
thou wouldest have her to thy wife;
05-21:14 And
it shall be, if thou have no delight in her,
then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not sell her at all
for money, thou shalt not make merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled
her.
05-21:15 If
a man have two wives, one beloved, and another
hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that was
hated:
05-21:18 If
a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which
will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have
chastened him, will not hearken unto them:
05-21:22 And
if a man have committed a sin worthy of death,
and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree:
05-23:12 Thou
shalt have a place also without the camp,
whither thou shalt go forth abroad:
05-23:13 And
thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it
shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and
shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:
05-25:5 If
brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have
no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her
husband’s brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and
perform the duty of an husband’s brother unto her.
05-25:13 Thou
shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a
great and a small.
05-25:14 Thou
shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a
great and a small.
05-25:15 But thou shalt have
a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land
which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
05-26:10 And
now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of
the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the
LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God:
05-26:13 Then
thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have
brought away the hallowed things out of mine
house, and also have given them unto the
Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according
to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them:
05-26:14 I
have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought
thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but
I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my
God, and have
done according to all that thou hast commanded me.
05-28:21 The
LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou
goest to possess it.
05-28:31 Thine
ox shall be slain before thine eyes,
and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall
be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to
thee: thy sheep shall be given unto
thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to
rescue them.
05-28:36 The
LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a
nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have
known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
05-28:40 Thou
shalt have olive trees throughout all thy
coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself
with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit.
05-28:48 Therefore
shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in
hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron
upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
05-28:51 And
he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be
destroyed: which also shall not leave
thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks
of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
05-28:64 And
the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth
even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou
nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.
05-28:65 And
among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot
have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a
trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
05-28:66 And
thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night,
and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
05-29:2 And
Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have
seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh,
and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
05-29:3 The
great temptations which thine eyes have seen,
the signs, and those great miracles:
05-29:5 And
I have led you forty years in the wilderness:
your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy
foot.
05-29:6 Ye
have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know
that I am the LORD your God.
05-29:16 (For
ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and
how we came through the nations which ye passed by;
05-29:17 And
ye have seen their abominations, and their
idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)
05-29:19 And
it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself
in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though
I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
05-29:25 Then
men shall say, Because they have forsaken the
covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he
brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:
05-30:1 And
it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing
and the curse, which I have set before thee, and
thou shalt call them to mind among
all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,
05-30:3 That
then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have
compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations,
whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.
05-30:15 See,
I have set before thee this day life and good,
and death and evil;
05-30:19 I
call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and
death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed
may live:
05-31:5 And
the LORD shall give them up before your face, that ye may do unto them
according unto all the commandments which I have
commanded you.
05-31:13 And
that their children, which have not known any
thing, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in
the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
05-31:16 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this
people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the
land, whither they go to be among
them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.
05-31:18 And
I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.
05-31:20 For
when I shall have brought them into the land
which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they
shall have eaten and filled themselves, and
waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me,
and break my covenant.
05-31:21 And
it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that
this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be
forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which
they go about, even now, before I have brought
them into the land which I sware.
05-31:27 For
I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you
this day, ye have been rebellious against the
LORD; and how much more after my death?
05-31:29 For
I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the
latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him
to anger through the work of your hands.
05-32:5 They
have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they
are a perverse and crooked generation.
05-32:21 They
have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I
will move them to jealousy with those
which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
05-33:9 Who
said unto his father and to his mother, I have
not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own
children: for they have observed thy word, and
kept thy covenant.
05-34:4 And
the LORD said unto him, This is the
land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will
give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see
it with thine eyes, but thou shalt
not go over thither.
06-1:3 Every
place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
06-1:8 This
book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate
therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is
written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou
shalt have good success.
06-1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good
courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
06-1:15 Until
the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God giveth
them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it,
which Moses the LORD’S servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the
sunrising.
06-2:10 For
we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of
the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two
kings of the Amorites, that were on
the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.
06-2:12 Now
therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the LORD, since I have shewed you kindness, that ye will also shew
kindness unto my father’s house, and give me a true token:
06-2:13 And
that ye will save alive my father,
and my mother, and my brethren, and my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death.
06-3:4 Yet
there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by
measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go:
for ye have not passed this way heretofore.
06-5:9 And
the LORD said unto Joshua, This day have I
rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you. Wherefore the name of the place
is called Gilgal unto this day.
06-6:2 And
the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into
thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and
the mighty men of valour.
06-7:11 Israel
hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my
covenant which I commanded them: for they have
even taken of the accursed thing, and have also
stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.
06-7:20 And
Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have
sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done:
06-8:1 And
the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the
people of war with thee, and arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his
city, and his land:
06-8:6 (For
they will come out after us) till we have drawn
them from the city; for they will say, They flee before us, as at the first:
therefore we will flee before them.
06-8:8 And
it shall be, when ye have taken the city, that ye shall set the city on fire:
according to the commandment of the LORD shall ye do. See, I have commanded you.
06-9:9 And
they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of
the name of the LORD thy God: for we have heard
the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt,
06-9:19 But
all the princes said unto all the congregation, We have
sworn unto them by the LORD God of Israel: now therefore we may not touch them.
06-9:22 And
Joshua called for them, and he spake unto them, saying, Wherefore have ye beguiled us, saying, We are very far from you; when ye dwell among us?
06-9:24 And
they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how
that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and
to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were
sore afraid of our lives because of you, and have
done this thing.
06-10:8 And
the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have
delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before
thee.
06-11:20 For
it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel
in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour,
but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses.
06-13:6 All
the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephothmaim, and all the Sidonians, them will I drive
out from before the children of Israel: only divide thou it by lot unto the
Israelites for an inheritance, as I have
commanded thee.
06-13:8 With
whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have
received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of the LORD
gave them;
06-14:9 And
Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy
children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God.
06-17:16 And
the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us: and all the
Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have
chariots of iron, both they who are of Bethshean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel.
06-17:17 And
Joshua spake unto the house of Joseph, even
to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great power: thou shalt not have one lot only:
06-17:18 But
the mountain shall be thine; for it is a
wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for
thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have
iron chariots, and though they be strong.
06-18:7 But
the Levites have no part among you; for the
priesthood of the LORD is their
inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east,
which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them.
06-22:2 And
said unto them, Ye have kept all that Moses the
servant of the LORD commanded you, and have
obeyed my voice in all that I commanded you:
06-22:3 Ye
have not left your brethren these many days unto
this day, but have kept the charge of the
commandment of the LORD your God.
06-22:11 And
the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the children of Reuben and the
children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh have
built an altar over against the land of Canaan, in the borders of Jordan, at
the passage of the children of Israel.
06-22:16 Thus
saith the whole congregation of the LORD, What trespass is this that ye have committed
against the God of Israel, to turn away this day from following the LORD, in
that ye have builded you an altar, that ye might
rebel this day against the LORD?
06-22:23 That
we have built us an altar to turn from following
the LORD, or if to offer thereon burnt offering or meat offering, or if to
offer peace offerings thereon, let the LORD himself require it;
06-22:24 And
if we have not rather done it for fear of this
thing, saying, In time to come your children might speak unto our children,
saying, What have ye to do with the LORD God of
Israel?
06-22:25 For
the LORD hath made Jordan a border between us and you, ye children of Reuben
and children of Gad; ye have no part in the
LORD: so shall your children make our children cease from fearing the LORD.
06-22:27 But
that it may be a witness between us, and you, and our generations after us,
that we might do the service of the LORD before him with our burnt offerings,
and with our sacrifices, and with our peace offerings; that your children may
not say to our children in time to come, Ye have
no part in the LORD.
06-22:31 And
Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said unto the children of Reuben, and to
the children of Gad, and to the children of Manasseh, This day we perceive that
the LORD is among us, because ye have not committed this trespass against the LORD: now
ye have delivered the children of Israel out of
the hand of the LORD.
06-23:3 And
ye have seen all that the LORD your God hath
done unto all these nations because of you; for the LORD your God is he that hath fought for you.
06-23:4 Behold,
I have divided unto you by lot these nations
that remain, to be an inheritance for your tribes, from Jordan, with all the
nations that I have cut off, even unto the great
sea westward.
06-23:8 But
cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done
unto this day.
06-23:15 Therefore
it shall come to pass, that as all
good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall
the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have
destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
06-23:16 When
ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD
your God, which he commanded you, and have gone
and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of
the LORD be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good
land which he hath given unto you.
06-24:7 And
when they cried unto the LORD, he put darkness between you and the Egyptians,
and brought the sea upon them, and covered them; and your eyes have seen what I have
done in Egypt: and ye dwelt in the wilderness a long season.
06-24:13 And
I have given you a land for which ye did not
labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards
and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.
06-24:22 And
Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses
against yourselves that ye have chosen you the
LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are
witnesses.
07-1:2 And
the LORD said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have
delivered the land into his hand.
07-1:7 And
Adonibezek said, Threescore and ten kings, having their thumbs and their great
toes cut off, gathered their meat under
my table: as I have done, so God hath requited
me. And they brought him to Jerusalem, and there he died.
07-2:1 And
an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go
up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the
land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my
covenant with you.
07-2:2 And
ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down
their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice:
why have ye done this?
07-2:20 And
the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this
people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice;
07-3:19 But
he himself turned again from the quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a
secret errand unto thee, O king: who said, Keep silence. And all that stood by
him went out from him.
07-3:20 And
Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlour, which he had for
himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message
from God unto thee. And he arose out of his
seat.
07-5:13 Then
he made him that remaineth have dominion over
the nobles among the people: the LORD made me have
dominion over the mighty.
07-5:30 Have they not sped? have
they not divided the prey; to every
man a damsel or two; to Sisera a prey
of divers colours, a prey of divers colours of needlework, of divers colours of
needlework on both sides, meet for
the necks of them that take the
spoil?
07-6:10 And
I said unto you, I am the LORD your
God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice.
07-6:14 And
the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save
Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not
I sent thee?
07-6:17 And
he said unto him, If now I have found grace in
thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me.
07-6:22 And
when Gideon perceived that he was an
angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord GOD! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD face to face.
07-7:9 And
it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Arise, get thee
down unto the host; for I have delivered it into
thine hand.
07-8:2 And
he said unto them, What have I done now in
comparison of you? Is not the
gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer?
07-9:16 Now
therefore, if ye have done truly and sincerely,
in that ye have made Abimelech king, and if ye have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house, and have done unto him according to the deserving of his
hands;
07-9:18 And
ye are risen up against my father’s house this day, and have slain his sons, threescore and ten persons, upon one stone,
and have made Abimelech, the son of his
maidservant, king over the men of Shechem, because he is your brother;)
07-9:19 If
ye then have dealt truly and sincerely with
Jerubbaal and with his house this day, then
rejoice ye in Abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you:
07-9:48 And
Abimelech gat him up to mount Zalmon, he and all the people that were with him; and Abimelech took an ax
in his hand, and cut down a bough from the trees, and took it, and laid it on his shoulder, and said unto the
people that were with him, What ye have seen me do, make haste, and do as I have done.
07-10:10 And
the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, saying, We have
sinned against thee, both because we have forsaken
our God, and also served Baalim.
07-10:13 Yet
ye have forsaken me, and served other gods:
wherefore I will deliver you no more.
07-10:14 Go
and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let
them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.
07-10:15 And
the children of Israel said unto the LORD, We have
sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we
pray thee, this day.
07-11:27 Wherefore
I have not sinned against thee, but thou doest
me wrong to war against me: the LORD the Judge be judge this day between the
children of Israel and the children of Ammon.
07-11:35 And
it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my
daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble
me: for I have opened my mouth unto the LORD,
and I cannot go back.
07-13:15 And
Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, I pray thee, let us detain thee, until
we shall have made ready a kid for thee.
07-13:22 And
Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.
07-13:23 But
his wife said unto him, If the LORD were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt offering and a meat offering at
our hands, neither would he have shewed us all
these things, nor would as at this
time have told us such things as these.
07-14:2 And
he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the
Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.
07-14:6 And
the spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his
mother what he had done.
07-14:15 And
it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson’s wife, Entice
thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy
father’s house with fire: have ye called us to
take that we have? is it not so?
07-14:16 And
Samson’s wife wept before him, and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me
not: thou hast put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and hast not
told it me. And he said unto her,
Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it thee?
07-15:7 And
Samson said unto them, Though ye have done this,
yet will I be avenged of you, and after that I will cease.
07-15:11 Then
three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to
Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines are rulers over us? what is this
that thou hast done unto us? And he
said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I
done unto them.
07-15:16 And
Samson said, With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jaw of an
ass have I slain a thousand men.
07-16:17 That
he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon
mine head; for I have
been a Nazarite unto God from my mother’s womb: if I be shaven, then my
strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.
07-17:13 Then
said Micah, Now know I that the LORD will do me good, seeing I have a Levite to my
priest.
07-18:9 And
they said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land, and, behold, it is very good: and are ye still? be not slothful to go, and to enter to possess the land.
07-18:14 Then
answered the five men that went to spy out the country of Laish, and said unto
their brethren, Do ye know that there is in these houses an ephod, and
teraphim, and a graven image, and a molten image? now therefore consider what
ye have to do.
07-18:24 And
he said, Ye have taken away my gods which I
made, and the priest, and ye are gone away: and what have
I more? and what is this that ye say unto me, What aileth thee?
07-20:5 And
the men of Gibeah rose against me, and beset the house round about upon me by
night, and thought to have slain me: and my concubine have they forced, that she is dead.
07-20:6 And
I took my concubine, and cut her in pieces, and sent her throughout all the
country of the inheritance of Israel: for they have
committed lewdness and folly in Israel.
07-20:10 And
we will take ten men of an hundred throughout all the tribes of Israel, and an
hundred of a thousand, and a thousand out of ten thousand, to fetch victual for
the people, that they may do, when they come to Gibeah of Benjamin, according
to all the folly that they have wrought in
Israel.
07-21:7 How
shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing we have
sworn by the LORD that we will not give them of our daughters to wives?
07-21:18 Howbeit
we may not give them wives of our daughters: for the children of Israel have sworn, saying, Cursed be he that giveth a wife to Benjamin.
08-1:8 And
Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother’s
house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have
dealt with the dead, and with me.
08-1:12 Turn
again, my daughters, go your way; for
I am too old to have an husband. If I should say,
I have hope, if
I should have an husband also to night, and
should also bear sons;
08-2:9 Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch
thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn.
08-2:10 Then
she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take
knowledge of me, seeing I am a
stranger?
08-2:21 And
Ruth the Moabitess said, He said unto me also, Thou shalt keep fast by my young
men, until they have ended all my harvest.
