10-20:21 The matter is not so: but a man of
mount Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bichri by name, hath lifted up his hand against
the king, even against David: deliver him only, and I will depart from the
city. And the woman said unto Joab, Behold, his head
shall be thrown to thee over the wall.

of their gods, and fastened his head in the
temple of Dagon.
13-20:2 And David took the crown of their
king from off his head, and found it to weigh a
talent of gold, and there were precious stones in it; and it was set upon
David’s head: and he brought also exceeding much
spoil out of the city.
13-29:11 Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the
power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the
heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art
exalted as head above all.
14-6:23 Then hear thou from heaven, and do,
and judge thy servants, by requiting the wicked, by recompensing his way upon
his own head; and by justifying the righteous,
by giving him according to his righteousness.
14-20:18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and
the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.
15-9:3 And when I heard this thing, I rent
my garment and my mantle, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down astonied.
15-9:6 And said, O my God, I am ashamed
and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased
over our head, and our trespass is grown up unto
the heavens.
16-4:4 Hear, O our God; for we are
despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head,
and give them for a prey in the land of captivity:
17-2:17 And the king loved Esther above all
the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the
virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head,
and made her queen instead of Vashti.
17-6:8 Let the royal apparel be brought
which the king useth to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the
crown royal which is set upon his head:
17-6:12 And Mordecai came again to the king’s
gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.
17-9:25 But when Esther came before the
king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against
the Jews, should return upon his own head, and
that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.
18-1:20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle,
and shaved his head, and fell down upon the
ground, and worshipped,
18-10:15 If I be wicked, woe unto me; and if I
be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I
am full of confusion; therefore see thou mine affliction;
18-16:4 I also could speak as ye do: if your
soul were in my soul’s stead, I could heap up words against you, and shake mine
head at you.
18-19:9 He hath stripped me of my glory, and
taken the crown from my head.
18-20:6 Though his excellency mount up to
the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds;
18-29:3 When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness;
18-41:7 Canst thou fill his skin with barbed
irons? or his head with fish spears?
19-3:3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for
me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
19-7:16 His mischief shall return upon his
own head, and his violent dealing shall come
down upon his own pate.
19-18:43 Thou hast delivered me from the
strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head
of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.
19-21:3 For thou preventest him with the
blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
19-22:7 All they that see me laugh me to
scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head,
saying,
19-23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in
the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head
with oil; my cup runneth over.
19-27:6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore
will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing
praises unto the LORD.
19-38:4 For mine iniquities are gone over
mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy
for me.
19-40:12 For innumerable evils have compassed
me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to
look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head:
therefore my heart faileth me.
19-44:14 Thou makest us a byword among the
heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.
19-60:7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is
mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head;
Judah is my lawgiver;
19-68:21 But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an
one as goeth on still in his trespasses.
19-69:4 They that hate me without a cause
are more than the hairs of mine head: they that
would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored
that which I took not away.
19-83:2 For, lo, thine enemies make a
tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
19-108:8 Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah
is my lawgiver;
19-110:7 He shall drink of the brook in the
way: therefore shall he lift up the head.
19-118:22 The stone which the builders refused
is become the head stone of the corner.
19-133:2 It is like the precious ointment upon
the head, that ran down upon the beard, even
Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
19-140:7 O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation,
thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.
19-140:9 As for the head
of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
19-141:5 Let the righteous smite me; it shall
be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which
shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also
shall be in their calamities.
20-1:9 For they shall be an ornament of
grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.
20-4:9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver
to thee.
20-10:6 Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of
the wicked.
20-11:26 He that withholdeth corn, the people
shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head
of him that selleth it.
20-16:31 The hoary head
is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.
20-20:29 The glory of young men is their
strength: and the beauty of old men is the gray head.
20-25:22 For thou shalt heap coals of fire
upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee.
21-2:14 The wise man’s eyes are in his head; but the fool walketh in darkness: and I myself
perceived also that one event happeneth to them all.
21-9:8 Let thy garments be always white;
and let thy head lack no ointment.
22-2:6 His left
hand is under my head, and his right hand doth
embrace me.
22-5:2 I sleep,
but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open
to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops
of the night.
22-5:11 His head is as the most fine gold, his locks are bushy,
and black as a raven.
22-7:5 Thine head upon thee is like Carmel, and the hair of thine head like purple; the king is held in the galleries.
22-8:3 His left
hand should be under my head, and his right hand
should embrace me.
23-1:5 Why should ye be stricken any more?
ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is
sick, and the whole heart faint.
23-1:6 From the sole of the foot even unto
the head there is no soundness in it; but
wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither
bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
23-3:17 Therefore the Lord will smite with a
scab the crown of the head of the daughters of
Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.
23-7:8 For the head
of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus
is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it
be not a people.
23-7:9 And the head
of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria
is Remaliah’s son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
23-7:20 In the same day shall the Lord shave
with a razor that is hired, namely, by them beyond the river, by the king of
Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: and
it shall also consume the beard.
23-9:14 Therefore the LORD will cut off from
Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one
day.
23-9:15 The ancient and honourable, he is
the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he
is the tail.
23-19:15 Neither shall there be any work for
Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush,
may do.
23-28:1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the
drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on
the head of the fat valleys of them that are
overcome with wine!
23-28:4 And the glorious beauty, which is on
the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading
flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looketh
upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.
23-37:22 This is the word which the LORD hath
spoken concerning him; The virgin, the daughter of Zion, hath despised thee,
and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.
23-51:11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD
shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be
upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and
joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
23-51:20 Thy sons have fainted, they lie at
the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a
net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.
23-58:5 Is it such a fast that I have
chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes
under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?
23-59:17 For he put on righteousness as a
breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head;
and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as
a cloke.
24-2:16 Also the children of Noph and
Tahapanes have broken the crown of thy head.
24-2:37 Yea, thou shalt go forth from him,
and thine hands upon thine head: for the LORD hath
rejected thy confidences, and thou shalt not prosper in them.
24-9:1 Oh that my head
were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night
for the slain of the daughter of my people!
24-18:16 To make their land desolate, and a
perpetual hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished, and wag
his head.
24-22:6 For thus saith the LORD unto the
king’s house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and
cities which are not inhabited.
24-23:19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is
gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon
the head of the wicked.
24-30:23 Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD
goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the
head of the wicked.
24-48:37 For every head
shall be bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands shall be cuttings,
and upon the loins sackcloth.
24-48:45 They that fled stood under the shadow
of Heshbon because of the force: but a fire shall come forth out of Heshbon,
and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and
the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.
24-52:31 And it came to pass in the seven and
thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth
month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach king of
Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head
of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison,
25-2:15 All that pass by clap their hands at
thee; they hiss and wag their head at the
daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men call The perfection of
beauty, The joy of the whole earth?
25-3:54 Waters flowed over mine head; then I said, I am cut off.
25-5:16 The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
26-5:1 And thou, son of man, take thee a
sharp knife, take thee a barber’s razor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to
weigh, and divide the hair.
26-8:3 And he put forth the form of an
hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and
the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the
visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward
the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to
jealousy.
26-9:10 And as for me also, mine eye shall
not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their
head.
26-10:1 Then I looked, and, behold, in the
firmament that was above the head of the
cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the
appearance of the likeness of a throne.
26-10:11 When they went, they went upon their
four sides; they turned not as they went, but to the place whither the head looked they followed it; they turned not as they
went.
26-13:18 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe
to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the
souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?
26-16:12 And I put a jewel on thy forehead,
and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.
26-16:25 Thou hast built thy high place at
every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty
to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and
multiplied thy whoredoms.
26-16:31 In that thou buildest thine eminent
place in the head of every way, and makest thine
high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou
scornest hire;
26-16:43 Because thou hast not remembered the
days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all these things; behold, therefore I
also will recompense thy way upon thine head,
saith the Lord GOD: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine
abominations.
26-17:19 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As
I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath
broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head.
26-21:19 Also, thou son of man, appoint thee
two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come
forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city.
26-21:21 For the king of Babylon stood at the
parting of the way, at the head of the two ways,
to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he
looked in the liver.
26-24:17 Forbear to cry, make no mourning for
the dead, bind the tire of thine head upon thee,
and put on thy shoes upon thy feet, and cover not thy lips, and eat not the
bread of men.
26-29:18 Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of
Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled: yet
had he no wages, nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had served
against it:
26-33:4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of
the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his
blood shall be upon his own head.
26-42:12 And according to the doors of the
chambers that were toward the south was a door in the head
of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one
entereth into them.
27-1:10 And the prince of the eunuchs said
unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your
drink: for why should he see your faces worse liking than the children which
are of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my head
to the king.
27-2:28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth
secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the
latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head
upon thy bed, are these;
27-2:32 This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly
and his thighs of brass,
27-2:38 And wheresoever the children of men
dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into
thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.
27-3:27 And the princes, governors, and
captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men,
upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the
smell of fire had passed on them.
27-4:5 I saw a dream which made me afraid,
and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head
troubled me.
27-4:10 Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold, a tree in the midst
of the earth, and the height thereof was great.
27-4:13 I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy
one came down from heaven;
27-7:1 In the first year of Belshazzar
king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head
upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.
27-7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast
down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the
hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne
was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
27-7:15 I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in
the midst of my body, and the visions of my head
troubled me.
27-7:20 And of the ten horns that were in
his head, and of the other which came up, and
before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake
very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.
28-1:11 Then shall the children of Judah and
the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great
shall be the day of Jezreel.
29-3:4 Yea, and what have ye to do with
me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a
recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your
recompence upon your own head;
29-3:7 Behold, I will raise them out of
the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your
own head:
30-2:7 That pant after the dust of the
earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside
the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to
profane my holy name:
30-8:10 And I will turn your feasts into
mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth
upon all loins, and baldness upon every head;
and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a
bitter day.
30-9:1 I saw the Lord standing upon the
altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and
cut them in the head, all of them; and I will
slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee
away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.
31-1:15 For the day of the LORD is near upon
all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward
shall return upon thine own head.
32-2:5 The waters compassed me about, even
to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
32-4:6 And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and
made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was
exceeding glad of the gourd.
32-4:8 And it came to pass, when the sun
did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself
to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live.
33-2:13 The breaker is come up before them:
they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it:
and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them.
35-3:13 Thou wentest forth for the salvation
of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering
the foundation unto the neck. Selah.
35-3:14 Thou didst strike through with his
staves the head of his villages: they came out
as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor
secretly.
38-1:21 Then said I, What come these to do?
And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that
no man did lift up his head: but these are come to
fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn
over the land of Judah to scatter it.
38-3:5 And I said, Let them set a fair
mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre
upon his head, and clothed him with garments.
And the angel of the LORD stood by.
38-6:11 Then take silver and gold, and make
crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the
son of Josedech, the high priest;
40-5:36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or
black.
40-6:17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint
thine head, and wash thy face;
40-8:20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes
have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not
where to lay his head.
40-10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
40-14:8 And she, being before instructed of
her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist’s head
in a charger.
40-14:11 And his head
was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her
mother.
40-21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never
read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is
become the head of the corner: this is the
Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
40-26:7 There came unto him a woman having
an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.
40-27:29 And when they had platted a crown of
thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in
his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying,
Hail, King of the Jews!
40-27:30 And they spit upon him, and took the
reed, and smote him on the head.
40-27:37 And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF
THE JEWS.
41-6:24 And she went forth, and said unto
her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head
of John the Baptist.
41-6:25 And she came in straightway with
haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a
charger the head of John the Baptist.
41-6:27 And immediately the king sent an
executioner, and commanded his head to be
brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
41-6:28 And brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel: and the
damsel gave it to her mother.
41-12:4 And again he sent unto them another
servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.
41-12:10 And have ye not read this scripture;
The stone which the builders rejected is become the head
of the corner:
41-14:3 And being in Bethany in the house of
Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box
of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
41-15:17 And they clothed him with purple, and
platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head,
41-15:19 And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.
42-7:38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet
with tears, and did wipe them with
the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and
anointed them with the ointment.
42-7:44 And he turned to the woman, and said
unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me
no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
42-7:46 My head
with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with
ointment.
42-9:58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have
holes, and birds of the air have nests;
but the Son of man hath not where to lay his
head.
42-12:7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of
more value than many sparrows.
42-20:17 And he beheld them, and said, What is
this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is
become the head of the corner?
42-21:18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
43-13:9 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord,
not my feet only, but also my hands
and my head.
43-19:2 And the soldiers platted a crown of
thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,
43-19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the
vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head,
and gave up the ghost.
43-20:7 And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped
together in a place by itself.
43-20:12 And seeth two angels in white
sitting, the one at the head, and the other at
the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
44-4:11 This is the stone which was set at
nought of you builders, which is become the head
of the corner.
44-18:18 And Paul after this tarried there yet
a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into
Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn his head in Cenchrea: for he had a
vow.
44-27:34 Wherefore I pray you to take some meat: for this is for your health:
for there shall not an hair fall from the head
of any of you.
45-12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed
him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of
fire on his head.
46-11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is
the man; and the head of Christ is God.
46-11:4 Every man praying or prophesying,
having his head
covered, dishonoureth his head.
46-11:5 But every woman that prayeth or
prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
46-11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head,
forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of
the man.
46-11:10 For this cause ought the woman to
have power on her head because of the angels.
46-12:21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand,
I have no need of thee: nor again the head to
the feet, I have no need of you.
49-1:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head
