60-1 PETER
60-1:4 To
an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved
in heaven for you,
60-1:5 Who
are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
60-1:6 Wherein
ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
60-1:8 Whom
having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye
see him not, yet believing, ye
rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
60-1:11 Searching
what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the
sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
60-1:14 As
obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
60-1:15 But
as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in
all manner of conversation;
60-1:17 And
if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to
every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
60-1:20 Who
verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
60-1:21 Who
by him do believe in God, that raised him up
from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
60-1:22 Seeing
ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth
through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
60-2:6 Wherefore
also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I
lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect,
precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
60-2:10 Which
in time past were
not a people, but are now the
people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
60-2:12 Having
your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against
you as evildoers, they may by your good
works, which they shall behold, glorify God in
the day of visitation.
60-2:22 Who
did no sin, neither was guile found in his
mouth:
60-2:24 Who
his own self bare our sins in his own body on
the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose
stripes ye were healed.
60-3:1 Likewise,
ye wives, be in
subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may
without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
60-3:4 But
let it be the hidden man of the
heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet
spirit, which is in the sight of God of great
price.
60-3:5 For
after this manner in the old time the holy women
also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves,
being in subjection unto their own husbands:
60-3:15 But
sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope
that is in you with meekness and fear:
60-3:16 Having
a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they
may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
60-3:18 For
Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might
bring us to God, being put to death in the
flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
60-3:19 By
which also he went and preached unto the spirits in
prison;
60-3:20 Which
sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing,
wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
60-4:1 Forasmuch
then as Christ hath suffered for us in the
flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
60-4:2 That
he no longer should live the rest of his time
in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the
will of God.
60-4:3 For
the time past of our life may suffice
us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings,
banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
60-4:6 For
for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they
might be judged according to men in the flesh,
but live according to God in the spirit.
60-4:11 If
any man speak, let him speak as the
oracles of God; if any man minister, let
him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ,
to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
60-4:15 But
let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as
a thief, or as an evildoer, or as
a busybody in other men’s matters.
60-4:19 Wherefore
let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their
souls to him in
well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
60-5:6 Humble
yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
60-5:9 Whom
resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the
same afflictions are accomplished in your
brethren that are in the world.
60-5:14 Greet
ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ
Jesus. Amen.
61-2 PETER
61-1:4 Whereby
are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might
be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
61-1:8 For
if these things be in you, and abound, they make
you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
61-1:12 Wherefore
I will not be negligent to put you always in
remembrance of these things, though ye know them,
and be established in the present truth.
61-1:13 Yea,
I think it meet, as long as I am in this
tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you
in remembrance;
61-1:15 Moreover
I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things
always in remembrance.
61-1:17 For
he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice
to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
61-1:18 And
this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
61-1:19 We
have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed,
as unto a light that shineth in a dark place,
until the day dawn, and the day star arise in
your hearts:
61-1:21 For
the prophecy came not in old time by the will of
man: but holy men of God spake as they
were moved by the Holy Ghost.
61-2:1 But
there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false
teachers among you, who privily shall bring in
damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon
themselves swift destruction.
61-2:5 And
spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
61-2:8 (For
that righteous man dwelling among them, in
seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous
soul from day to day with their unlawful
deeds;)
61-2:10 But
chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the
lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of
dignities.
61-2:11 Whereas
angels, which are greater in power and might,
bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.
61-2:12 But
these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of
the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
61-2:13 And
shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in
the day time. Spots they are and
blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with
you;
61-2:18 For
when they speak great swelling words of
vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them
who live in error.
61-2:19 While
they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for
of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in
bondage.
61-2:22 But
it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and
the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the
mire.
61-3:1 This
second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in
both which I stir up your pure minds
by way of remembrance:
61-3:3 Knowing
this first, that there shall come in the last
days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
61-3:5 For
this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were
of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in
the water:
61-3:7 But
the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of
judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
61-3:10 But
the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the
night; in the which the heavens shall pass away
with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth
also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
61-3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy
conversation and godliness,
61-3:14 Wherefore,
beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found
of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
61-3:16 As
also in all his
epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which
they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
61-3:18 But
grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory
both now and for ever. Amen.
62-1 JOHN
62-1:5 This
then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God
is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
62-1:6 If
we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in
darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
62-1:7 But
if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and
the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
62-1:8 If
we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
62-1:10 If
we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
62-2:4 He
that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the
truth is not in him.
62-2:5 But
whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the
love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in
him.
62-2:6 He
that saith he abideth in him ought himself also
so to walk, even as he walked.
62-2:8 Again,
a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the
darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
62-2:9 He
that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother,
is in darkness even until now.
62-2:10 He
that loveth his brother abideth in the light,
and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
62-2:11 But
he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and
walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he
goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
62-2:14 I
have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men,
because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in
you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
62-2:15 Love
not the world, neither the things that
are in the world. If any man love the world,
the love of the Father is not in him.
62-2:16 For
all that is in
the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of
life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
62-2:24 Let
that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard
from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain
in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the
Father.
62-2:27 But
the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in
you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth
you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you,
ye shall abide in him.
62-2:28 And
now, little children, abide in him; that, when
he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his
coming.
62-3:3 And
every man that hath this hope in him purifieth
himself, even as he is pure.
62-3:5 And
ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
62-3:6 Whosoever
abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth
hath not seen him, neither known him.
62-3:9 Whosoever
is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
62-3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the
children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither
he that loveth not his brother.
62-3:14 We
know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He
that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
62-3:15 Whosoever
hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal
life abiding in him.
62-3:17 But
whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up
his bowels of compassion from him,
how dwelleth the love of God in him?
62-3:18 My
little children, let us not love in word,
neither in tongue; but in
deed and in truth.
62-3:22 And
whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do
those things that are pleasing in his sight.
62-3:24 And
he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in
him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he
abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given
us.
62-4:2 Hereby
know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is
come in the flesh is of God:
62-4:3 And
every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have
heard that it should come; and even now already is it in
the world.
62-4:4 Ye
are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that
is in you, than he that is in the world.
62-4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us,
because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live
through him.
62-4:12 No
man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
62-4:13 Hereby
know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
62-4:15 Whosoever
shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
62-4:16 And
we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he
that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
62-4:17 Herein
is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in
the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in
this world.
62-4:18 There
is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out
fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
62-5:7 For
there are three that bear record in heaven, the
Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
62-5:8 And
there are three that bear witness in earth, the
Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
62-5:10 He
that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in
himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth
not the record that God gave of his Son.
62-5:11 And
this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
62-5:14 And
this is the confidence that we have in him,
that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
62-5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the
whole world lieth in wickedness.
62-5:20 And
we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we
may know him that is true, and we are in him
that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and
eternal life.
63-2 JOHN
63-1:1 The
elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the
truth;
63-1:2 For
the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us, and
shall be with us for ever.
63-1:3 Grace
be with you, mercy, and peace, from
God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
63-1:4 I
rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in
truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
63-1:6 And
this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment,
That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
63-1:7 For
many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is
come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an
antichrist.
63-1:9 Whosoever
transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine
of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the
doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
64-3 JOHN
64-1:1 The
elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in
the truth.
64-1:2 Beloved,
I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
64-1:3 For
I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in
the truth.
64-1:4 I
have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in
truth.
65-JUDE
65-1:1 Jude,
the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified
by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus
Christ, and called:
65-1:4 For
there are certain men crept in unawares, who
were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the
grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our
Lord Jesus Christ.
65-1:5 I
will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye
once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of
Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
65-1:6 And
the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he
hath reserved in everlasting chains under
darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
65-1:7 Even
as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in
like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh,
are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
65-1:10 But
these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know
naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they
corrupt themselves.
65-1:11 Woe
unto them! for they have gone in the way of
Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
65-1:12 These
are spots in your feasts of charity, when they
feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit
withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
65-1:16 These
are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth
speaketh great swelling words, having
men’s persons in admiration because of
advantage.
65-1:18 How
that they told you there should be mockers in
the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
65-1:20 But
ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
65-1:21 Keep
yourselves in the love of God, looking for the
mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
66-REVELATION
66-1:4 John
to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which
is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are
before his throne;
66-1:5 And
from Jesus Christ, who is the
faithful witness, and the first
begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that
loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own
blood,
66-1:9 I
John, who also am your brother, and companion in
tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of
Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called
Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
66-1:10 I
was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard
behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
66-1:11 Saying,
I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in
Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and
unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
66-1:13 And
in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed
with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
66-1:15 And
his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in
a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
66-1:16 And
he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of
his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his
strength.
66-1:20 The
mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in
my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the
angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are
the seven churches.
66-2:1 Unto
the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth
the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
66-2:7 He
that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him
that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
66-2:8 And
unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write;
These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
66-2:12 And
to the angel of the church in Pergamos write;
These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
66-2:13 I
know thy works and where thou dwellest, even
where Satan’s seat is: and thou
holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan
dwelleth.
66-2:17 He
that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him
that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a
white stone, and in the stone a new name
written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
66-2:18 And
unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write;
These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire,
and his feet are like fine brass;
66-2:24 But
unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira,
as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of
Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
66-3:1 And
unto the angel of the church in Sardis write;
These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I
know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
66-3:4 Thou
hast a few names even in Sardis which have not
defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in
white: for they are worthy.
66-3:5 He
that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in
white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I
will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
66-3:7 And
to the angel of the church in Philadelphia
write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the
key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man
openeth;
66-3:12 Him
that overcometh will I make a pillar in the
temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the
name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my
God: and I will write upon him my new
name.
66-3:18 I
counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the
fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed,
and that the shame of thy nakedness
do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
66-3:20 Behold,
I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I
will come in to him, and will sup with him, and
he with me.
66-3:21 To
him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in
my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
66-4:1 After
this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened
in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with
me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be
hereafter.
66-4:2 And
immediately I was in the spirit; and, behold, a
throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
66-4:3 And
he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the
throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
66-4:4 And
round about the throne were four and
twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns
of gold.
66-4:6 And
before the throne there was a sea of
glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the
throne, and round about the throne, were four
beasts full of eyes before and behind.
66-5:1 And
I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the
throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
66-5:3 And
no man in heaven, nor in
earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look
thereon.
66-5:6 And
I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne
and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the
elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes,
which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
66-5:13 And
every creature which is in heaven, and on the
earth, and under the earth, and such as are in
the sea, and all that are in them, heard I
saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for
ever and ever.
66-6:5 And
when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see.
And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of
balances in his hand.
66-6:6 And
I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts
say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny;
and see thou hurt not the oil and the
wine.
66-6:15 And
the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief
captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid
themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
66-7:3 Saying,
Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the
servants of our God in their foreheads.
66-7:9 After
this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all
nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before
the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in
their hands;
66-7:13 And
one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
66-7:14 And
I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which
came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white
in the blood of the Lamb.
66-7:15 Therefore
are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall
dwell among them.
