01-GENESIS
01-19:25 And
he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon
the ground.
01-34:30 And
Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, Ye have troubled me to make me to stink among
the inhabitants of the land, among the
Canaanites and the Perizzites: and I being
few in number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and slay
me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my house.
01-50:11 And
when the inhabitants of the land, the
Canaanites, saw the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said, This is a grievous mourning to the Egyptians:
wherefore the name of it was called Abelmizraim, which is beyond
02-15:14 The
people shall hear, and be afraid:
sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of
Palestina.
02-15:15 Then
the dukes of
02-23:31 And
I will set thy bounds from the
02-34:12 Take
heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants
of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:
02-34:15 Lest
thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the
land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods,
and one call thee, and thou eat of
his sacrifice;
03-18:25 And
the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the
land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
03-25:10 And
ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you;
and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every
man unto his family.
04-13:32 And
they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the
children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in
it are men of a great stature.
04-14:14 And
they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time
in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.
04-32:17 But
we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of
04-33:52 Then
ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the
land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their
molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:
04-33:53 And
ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I
have given you the land to possess it.
04-33:55 But
if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the
land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let
remain of them shall be pricks in
your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye
dwell.
05-13:13 Certain men, the children of Belial, are
gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants
of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;
05-13:15 Thou
shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city
with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with
the edge of the sword.
06-2:9 And
she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the land, and that
your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants
of the land faint because of you.
06-2:24 And
they said unto Joshua, Truly the LORD hath delivered into our hands all the
land; for even all the inhabitants of the
country do faint because of us.
06-7:9 For
the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the
land shall hear of it, and shall
environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do
unto thy great name?
06-8:24 And
it came to pass, when Israel had made an end of slaying all the inhabitants of Ai in the field, in the wilderness
wherein they chased them, and when they were all fallen on the edge of the
sword, until they were consumed, that all the Israelites returned unto Ai, and
smote it with the edge of the sword.
06-8:26 For
Joshua drew not his hand back, wherewith he stretched out the spear, until he
had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.
06-9:3 And
when the inhabitants of
06-9:11 Wherefore
our elders and all the inhabitants of our
country spake to us, saying, Take victuals with you for the journey, and go to
meet them, and say unto them, We are your
servants: therefore now make ye a league with us.
06-9:24 And
they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how
that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and
to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from
before you, therefore we were sore afraid of our lives because of you, and have
done this thing.
06-10:1 Now
it came to pass, when Adonizedec king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had
taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king,
so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants
of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them;
06-11:19 There
was not a city that made peace with the children of
06-13:6 All
the inhabitants of the hill country from
06-15:15 And
he went up thence to the inhabitants of Debir:
and the name of Debir before was Kirjathsepher.
06-15:63 As
for the Jebusites the inhabitants of
06-17:7 And
the coast of
06-17:11 And
Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher Bethshean and her towns, and Ibleam and
her towns, and the inhabitants of Dor and her
towns, and the inhabitants of Endor and her
towns, and the inhabitants of Taanach and her
towns, and the inhabitants of Megiddo and her
towns, even three countries.
06-17:12 Yet
the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities; but
the Canaanites would dwell in that land.
07-1:11 And
from thence he went against the inhabitants of
Debir: and the name of Debir before was Kirjathsepher:
07-1:19 And
the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the
inhabitants of the mountain; but could not
drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because
they had chariots of iron.
07-1:27 Neither
did Manasseh drive out the inhabitants of Bethshean and her towns, nor Taanach
and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and
her towns, nor the inhabitants of Ibleam and her
towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and her
towns: but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.
07-1:30 Neither
did Zebulun drive out the inhabitants of Kitron,
nor the inhabitants of Nahalol; but the
Canaanites dwelt among them, and became tributaries.
07-1:31 Neither
did Asher drive out the inhabitants of Accho,
nor the inhabitants of Zidon, nor of Ahlab, nor
of Achzib, nor of Helbah, nor of Aphik, nor of Rehob:
07-1:32 But
the Asherites dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants
of the land: for they did not drive them out.
07-1:33 Neither
did Naphtali drive out the inhabitants of
Bethshemesh, nor the inhabitants of Bethanath;
but he dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants
of the land: nevertheless the inhabitants of
Bethshemesh and of Bethanath became tributaries unto them.
07-2:2 And
ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of
this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice:
why have ye done this?
07-5:7 The inhabitants
of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose,
that I arose a mother in Israel.
07-5:11 They that are delivered from the noise
of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall they rehearse the
righteous acts of the LORD, even the
righteous acts toward the inhabitants of his villages in Israel: then shall
the people of the LORD go down to the gates.
07-5:23 Curse
ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help
of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.
07-10:18 And
the people and princes of Gilead said
one to another, What man is he that
will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall be head over all
the inhabitants of Gilead.
07-11:8 And
the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, Therefore we turn again to thee now,
that thou mayest go with us, and fight against the children of Ammon, and be
our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.
07-11:21 And
the LORD God of Israel delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of
Israel, and they smote them: so Israel possessed all the land of the Amorites,
the inhabitants of that country.
07-20:15 And
the children of Benjamin were numbered at that time out of the cities twenty
and six thousand men that drew sword, beside the inhabitants
of Gibeah, which were numbered seven hundred chosen men.
07-21:9 For
the people were numbered, and, behold, there
were none of the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead
there.
07-21:10 And
the congregation sent thither twelve thousand men of the valiantest, and
commanded them, saying, Go and smite the inhabitants
of Jabeshgilead with the edge of the sword, with the women and the children.
07-21:12 And
they found among the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead
four hundred young virgins, that had known no man by lying with any male: and
they brought them unto the camp to Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan.
08-4:4 And
I thought to advertise thee, saying, Buy it
before the inhabitants, and before the
elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem it,
redeem it: but if thou wilt not
redeem it, then tell me, that I may
know: for there is none to redeem it beside thee; and I am after thee. And he said, I will
redeem it.
09-6:21 And
they sent messengers to the inhabitants of
Kirjathjearim, saying, The Philistines have brought again the ark of the LORD;
come ye down, and fetch it up to you.
09-23:5 So
David and his men went to Keilah, and fought with the Philistines, and brought
away their cattle, and smote them with a great slaughter. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.
09-27:8 And
David and his men went up, and invaded the Geshurites, and the Gezrites, and
the Amalekites: for those nations were of
old the inhabitants of the land, as thou goest
to Shur, even unto the land of Egypt.
09-31:11 And
when the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead heard of
that which the Philistines had done to Saul;
10-5:6 And
the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: which spake unto David,
saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in
hither: thinking, David cannot come in hither.
11-17:1 And
Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before
whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my
word.
11-21:11 And
the men of his city, even the elders
and the nobles who were the inhabitants in his
city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them, and
as it was written in the letters
which she had sent unto them.
12-19:26 Therefore
their inhabitants were of small power, they were
dismayed and confounded; they were as the
grass of the field, and as the green
herb, as the grass on the house tops,
and as corn blasted before it be
grown up.
12-22:16 Thus
saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah hath read:
12-22:19 Because
thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the LORD, when
thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a
desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also
have heard thee, saith the LORD.
12-23:2 And
the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah and all
the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the
priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he
read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in
the house of the LORD.
13-8:6 And
these are the sons of Ehud: these are
the heads of the fathers of the inhabitants of
Geba, and they removed them to Manahath:
13-8:13 Beriah
also, and Shema, who were heads of
the fathers of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who
drove away the inhabitants of Gath:
13-9:2 Now
the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were, the Israelites, the priests, Levites, and the Nethinims.
13-11:4 And
David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where the Jebusites were,
the inhabitants of the land.
13-11:5 And
the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, Thou
shalt not come hither. Nevertheless David took the castle of Zion, which is the city of David.
13-22:18 Is not the LORD your God with you? and
hath he not given you rest on every
side? for he hath given the inhabitants of the
land into mine hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD, and before his
people.
14-15:5 And
in those times there was no peace to
him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.
14-20:7 Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and
gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?
14-20:15 And
he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants
of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not
afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
14-20:18 And
Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face
to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants
of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.
14-20:20 And
they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa:
and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your
God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
14-20:23 For
the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants
of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them:
and when they had made an end of the inhabitants
of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.
14-21:11 Moreover
he made high places in the mountains of Judah, and caused the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit fornication, and
compelled Judah thereto.
14-21:13 But
hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to the
whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also hast slain thy brethren of thy father’s
house, which were better than
thyself:
14-22:1 And
the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his
youngest son king in his stead: for the band of men that came with the Arabians
to the camp had slain all the eldest. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of
Judah reigned.
14-32:22 Thus
the LORD saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of
Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand
of all other, and guided them on
every side.
14-32:26 Notwithstanding
Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of
Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD came not upon them in the days of
Hezekiah.
14-32:33 And
Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the chiefest of the sepulchres
of the sons of David: and all Judah and the inhabitants
of Jerusalem did him honour at his death. And Manasseh his son reigned in his
stead.
14-33:9 So
Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of
Jerusalem to err, and to do worse
than the heathen, whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel.
14-34:24 Thus
saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the curses that are written in the book which they have
read before the king of Judah:
14-34:27 Because
thine heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before God, when thou
heardest his words against this place, and against the inhabitants
thereof, and humbledst thyself before me, and didst rend thy clothes, and weep
before me; I have even heard thee also,
saith the LORD.
14-34:28 Behold,
I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered to thy grave in
peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the evil that I will bring upon this
place, and upon the inhabitants of the same. So
they brought the king word again.
14-34:30 And
the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the priests, and the Levites,
and all the people, great and small: and he read in their ears all the words of
the book of the covenant that was found in the house of the LORD.
14-34:32 And
he caused all that were present in Jerusalem and Benjamin to stand to it. And the inhabitants
of Jerusalem did according to the covenant of God, the God of their fathers.
14-35:18 And
there was no passover like to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the
prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah
kept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were
present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
15-4:6 And
in the reign of Ahasuerus, in the beginning of his reign, wrote they unto him an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem.
16-3:13 The
valley gate repaired Hanun, and the inhabitants
of Zanoah; they built it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and
the bars thereof, and a thousand cubits on the wall unto the dung gate.
16-7:3 And
I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be
hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and
every one to be over against his
house.
16-9:24 So
the children went in and possessed the land, and thou subduedst before them the
inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and
gavest them into their hands, with their kings, and the people of the land,
that they might do with them as they would.
18-26:5 Dead
things are formed from under the
waters, and the inhabitants thereof.
19-33:8 Let
all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants
of the world stand in awe of him.
19-33:14 From
the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants
of the earth.
19-49:1 Hear
this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants
of the world:
19-75:3 The
earth and all the inhabitants thereof are
dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.
19-83:7 Gebal,
and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants
of Tyre;
23-5:3 And
now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of
Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.
23-8:14 And
he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of
offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
23-10:13 For
he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the
bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:
23-10:31 Madmenah
is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather
themselves to flee.
23-18:3 All
ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the
earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he
bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.
23-21:14 The
inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to
him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that fled.
23-22:21 And
I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will
commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.
23-23:2 Be
still, ye inhabitants of the isle; thou whom the
merchants of Zidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.
23-23:6 Pass
ye over to Tarshish; howl, ye inhabitants of the
isle.
23-24:1 Behold,
the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside
down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants
thereof.
23-24:5 The
earth also is defiled under the inhabitants
thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken
the everlasting covenant.
23-24:6 Therefore
hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate:
therefore the inhabitants of the earth are
burned, and few men left.
23-26:9 With
my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I
seek thee early: for when thy judgments are
in the earth, the inhabitants of the world
will learn righteousness.
23-26:18 We
have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth
wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.
23-26:21 For,
behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants
of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and
shall no more cover her slain.
23-37:27 Therefore
their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded: they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as corn blasted before it be grown up.
23-38:11 I
said, I shall not see the LORD, even the
LORD, in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.
23-40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of
the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out
the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
23-42:10 Sing
unto the LORD a new song, and his
praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is
therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.
23-42:11 Let
the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that
Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of
the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
23-49:19 For
thy waste and thy desolate places, and the land of thy destruction, shall even
now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants,
and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away.
24-1:14 Then
the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.
24-4:4 Circumcise
yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of
Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury
come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.
24-6:12 And
their houses shall be turned unto others, with
their fields and wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD.
24-8:1 At
that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of
Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the
bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants
of Jerusalem, out of their graves:
24-10:18 For
thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants
of the land at this once, and will distress them, that they may find it so.
24-11:2 Hear
ye the words of this covenant, and speak unto the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
24-11:9 And
the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among
the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
24-11:12 Then
shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of
Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they
shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble.
24-13:13 Then
shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon
David’s throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.
24-17:20 And
say unto them, Hear ye the word of the LORD, ye kings of Judah, and all Judah,
and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter
in by these gates:
24-17:25 Then
shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon
the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes,
the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of
Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.
24-18:11 Now
therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants
of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you,
and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and
make your ways and your doings good.
24-19:3 And
say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of
hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which
whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.
24-19:12 Thus
will I do unto this place, saith the LORD, and to the inhabitants
thereof, and even make this city as
Tophet:
24-21:6 And
I will smite the inhabitants of this city, both
man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence.
24-23:14 I
have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit
adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that
none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom,
and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.
24-25:2 The
which Jeremiah the prophet spake unto all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying,
24-25:9 Behold,
I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and
Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against
this land, and against the inhabitants thereof,
and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and
make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.
24-25:29 For,
lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye
be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword
upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the
LORD of hosts.
24-25:30 Therefore
prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The LORD shall roar
from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily
roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.
24-26:15 But
know ye for certain, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent
blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof: for of a truth the LORD hath sent me unto you
to speak all these words in your ears.
24-32:32 Because
of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which
they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their
priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
24-35:13 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and
the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not
receive instruction to hearken to my words? saith the LORD.
24-35:17 Therefore
thus saith the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon
Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem
all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto
them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not
answered.
24-36:31 And
I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will
bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of
Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced
against them; but they hearkened not.
24-42:18 For
thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and my fury hath
been poured forth upon the inhabitants of
Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into
Egypt: and ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a
reproach; and ye shall see this place no more.
24-46:8 Egypt
riseth up like a flood, and his waters
are moved like the rivers; and he saith, I will go up, and will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof.
24-47:2 Thus
saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an
overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the
city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.
24-49:8 Flee
ye, turn back, dwell deep, O inhabitants of
Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I will visit him.
24-49:20 Therefore
hear the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Edom; and his
purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants
of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall
make their habitations desolate with them.
24-49:30 Flee,
get you far off, dwell deep, O ye inhabitants of
Hazor, saith the LORD; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath taken counsel
against you, and hath conceived a purpose against you.
24-50:21 Go
up against the land of Merathaim, even against
it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod: waste and
utterly destroy after them, saith the LORD, and do according to all that I have
commanded thee.
24-50:34 Their
Redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts
is his name: he shall throughly plead
their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.
24-50:35 A
sword is upon the Chaldeans, saith
the LORD, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon,
and upon her princes, and upon her wise men.
24-51:12 Set
up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen,
prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he
spake against the inhabitants of Babylon.
24-51:24 And
I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants
of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the
LORD.
24-51:35 The
violence done to me and to my flesh be upon
Babylon, shall the inhabitant of Zion say; and my blood upon the inhabitants of Chaldea, shall Jerusalem say.
25-4:12 The
kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of
the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy should have
entered into the gates of Jerusalem.
26-11:15 Son
of man, thy brethren, even thy
brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel wholly, are they unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get you far from
the LORD: unto us is this land given in possession.
26-12:19 And
say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with
carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be
desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that
dwell therein.
26-15:6 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which
I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants
of Jerusalem.
26-26:17 And
they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How art thou
destroyed, that wast inhabited of
seafaring men, the renowned city, which wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it!
26-27:8 The
inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were thy
mariners: thy wise men, O Tyrus, that were in thee, were thy pilots.
26-27:35 All
the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished
at thee, and their kings shall be sore afraid, they shall be troubled in their countenance.
26-29:6 And
all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the LORD, because they have been a
staff of reed to the house of Israel.
27-4:35 And
all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth
according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and
none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
27-9:7 O
Lord, righteousness belongeth unto
thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and
to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all
Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the
countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they
have trespassed against thee.
28-4:1 Hear
the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy
with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor
knowledge of God in the land.
28-10:5 The
inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the
calves of Bethaven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests
thereof that rejoiced on it, for the
glory thereof, because it is departed from it.
29-1:2 Hear
this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants
of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?
29-1:14 Sanctify
ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and
cry unto the LORD.
29-2:1 Blow
ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the
LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
33-6:12 For
the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants
thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is
deceitful in their mouth.
33-6:16 For
the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and ye
walk in their counsels; that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall
bear the reproach of my people.
36-1:4 I
will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the
remnant of Baal from this place, and the
name of the Chemarims with the priests;
36-1:11 Howl,
ye inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant
people are cut down; all they that bear silver are cut off.
36-2:5 Woe
unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the
nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even
destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.
38-8:20 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; It shall yet
come to pass, that there shall come
people, and the inhabitants of many cities:
38-8:21 And
the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before
the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.
38-11:6 For
I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land,
saith the LORD: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour’s
hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of
their hand I will not deliver them.
38-12:5 And
the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants
of Jerusalem shall be my strength in
the LORD of hosts their God.
38-12:7 The
LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of
David and the glory of the inhabitants of
Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against
Judah.
38-12:8 In
that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants
of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David;
and the house of David shall be as
God, as the angel of the LORD before them.
38-12:10 And
I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants
of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look
upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth
for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in
bitterness for his firstborn.
38-13:1 In
that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.
66-17:2 With
whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the
wine of her fornication.

23-44:26 That
confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his
messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited;
and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed
places thereof:
23-45:18 For
thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth
and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to
be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none
else.
23-54:3 For
thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall
inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
24-6:8 Be

but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
24-22:6 For
thus saith the LORD unto the king’s house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and the
head of Lebanon: yet surely I will
make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited.
24-46:26 And
I will deliver them into the hand of those that seek their lives, and into the
hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants: and
afterward it shall be inhabited, as in the days
of old, saith the LORD.
24-50:13 Because
of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited,
but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be
astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.
24-50:39 Therefore
the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the islands shall dwell there, and the owls shall dwell therein:
and it shall be no more inhabited for ever;

the cities that are inhabited shall be laid
waste, and the land shall be desolate; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city, which
wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it!
26-26:19 For
thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the
cities that are not inhabited; when I shall
bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee;
26-26:20 When
I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, with the people of
old time, and shall set thee in the low parts of the earth, in places desolate
of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I shall set glory in the land of the
living;
26-29:11 No
foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it,
neither shall it be inhabited forty years.
26-34:13 And
I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will
bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the
rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the
country.
26-36:10 And
I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited,
and the wastes shall be builded:
26-36:35 And
they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden;
and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are
inhabited.
26-38:12 To
take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited,
and upon the people that are gathered
out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst

when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity,
and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the
plain?
38-9:5 Ashkelon
shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and
Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from
Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
38-12:6 In
that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the
wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people
round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
38-14:10 All
the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and
it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place,
from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate,
and from the tower of Hananeel unto
the king’s winepresses.
38-14:11 And
men shall dwell in it, and there
shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that

because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
