44-24:21    Except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day.

44-25:16    To whom I answered, It is not the manner of the Romans to deliver any man to die, before that he which is accused have the accusers face to face, and have licence to answer for himself concerning the crime laid against him.

44-25:27    For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him.

45-ROMANS

45-1:16     For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

45-1:17     For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

45-1:19     Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

45-2:24     For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

45-2:27     And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?

45-3:4      God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

45-3:10     As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

45-3:19     Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

45-3:27     Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

45-3:30     Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

45-4:3      For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

45-4:10     How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

45-4:16     Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

45-4:17     (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

45-4:22     And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

45-4:23     Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;

45-4:24     But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

45-5:16     And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

45-6:12     Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

45-7:11     For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

45-7:13     Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

45-7:16     If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

45-7:17     Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

45-7:20     Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

45-8:3      For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

45-8:7      Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

45-8:25     But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

45-8:33     Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.

45-8:34     Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

45-8:36     As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

45-9:12     It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

45-9:13     As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

45-9:16     So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

45-9:20     Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

45-9:26     And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

45-9:28     For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

45-9:32     Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

45-9:33     As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

45-10:8     But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

45-10:15    And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

45-11:6     And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

45-11:7     What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded

45-11:8     (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.

45-11:26    And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

45-11:35    Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

45-12:8     Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

45-12:18    If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

45-12:19    Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

45-13:9     For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

45-13:11    And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

45-14:6     He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

45-14:11    For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

45-14:14    I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

45-14:20    For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

45-14:21    It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

45-14:22    Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.

45-15:3     For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

45-15:9     And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.

45-15:21    But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.

45-15:26    For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

45-15:27    It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.

46-1 CORINTHIANS

46-1:11     For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

46-1:18     For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

46-1:19     For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

46-1:21     For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

46-1:31     That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
