09-1 SAMUEL
09-18:6 And
it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the
Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and
dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy,
and with instruments of musick.
11-1 KINGS
11-1:40 And
all the people came up after him, and the people piped with pipes, and rejoiced
with great joy, so that the earth rent with the
sound of them.
13-1 CHRONICLES
13-12:40 Moreover
they that were nigh them, even unto
Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and
on mules, and on oxen, and meat,
meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and
sheep abundantly: for there was joy in Israel.
13-15:16 And
David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of
musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice
with joy.
13-15:25 So
David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring
up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obededom with joy.
13-29:9 Then
the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect
heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with
great joy.
13-29:17 I
know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in
uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly
offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy
thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.
14-20:27 Then
they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the
forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy;
for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies.
14-30:26 So
there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the
time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.
15-3:12 But
many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation
of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many
shouted aloud for joy:
15-3:13 So
that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people: for
the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off.
15-6:16 And
the children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the
children of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy,
15-6:22 And
kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy:
for the LORD had made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria
unto them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God
of Israel.
16-8:10 Then
he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send
portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our
Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the
LORD is your strength.
16-12:43 Also
that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them
rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the
children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem
was heard even afar off.
17-8:16 The
Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and
honour.
17-8:17 And
in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king’s commandment and
his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness,
a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the
fear of the Jews fell upon them.
17-9:22 As
the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was
turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from
mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts
to the poor.
18-8:19 Behold,
this is the joy
of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.
18-20:5 That
the triumphing of the wicked is short,
and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?
18-29:13 The
blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow’s
heart to sing for joy.
18-33:26 He
shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his
face with joy: for he will render unto man his
righteousness.
18-38:7 When
the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
18-41:22 In
his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy
before him.
19-5:11 But
let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that
love thy name be joyful in thee.
19-16:11 Thou
wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand
there are pleasures for evermore.
19-21:1 The
king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in
thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
19-27:6 And
now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore
will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy;
I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
19-30:5 For
his anger endureth but a moment; in
his favour is life: weeping may
endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
19-32:11 Be
glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that
are upright in heart.
19-35:27 Let
them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my
righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified,
which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
19-42:4 When
I remember these things, I pour out
my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house
of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a
multitude that kept holyday.
19-43:4 Then
will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy:
yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
19-48:2 Beautiful
for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
19-51:8 Make
me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
19-51:12 Restore
unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
19-65:13 The
pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn;
they shout for joy, they also sing.
19-67:4 O
let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for
thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth.
Selah.
19-105:43 And
he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
19-126:5 They
that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
19-132:9 Let
thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.
19-132:16 I
will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud
for joy.
19-137:6 If
I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I
prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.
20-12:20 Deceit
is in the heart of them that imagine
evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
20-14:10 The
heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.
20-15:21 Folly
is joy
to him that is destitute of wisdom:
but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.
20-15:23 A
man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a
word spoken in due season, how good is it!
20-17:21 He
that begetteth a fool doeth it to his
sorrow: and the father of a fool hath no joy.
20-21:15 It is joy
to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall
be to the workers of iniquity.
20-23:24 The
father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.
21-2:10 And
whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from
any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour:
and this was my portion of all my labour.
21-2:26 For
God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and
knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth
travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.
21-5:20 For
he shall not much remember the days of his life; because God answereth him in the joy
of his heart.
21-9:7 Go
thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy
wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
23-9:3 Thou
hast multiplied the nation, and not
increased the joy: they joy
before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
23-9:17 Therefore
the Lord shall have no joy in their young men,
neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and
every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his
hand is stretched out still.
23-12:3 Therefore
with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of
salvation.
23-16:10 And
gladness is taken away, and joy out of the
plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall
there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their
vintage shouting to cease.
23-22:13 And
behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and
killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for to
morrow we shall die.
23-24:8 The
mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth.
23-24:11 There is a crying for wine in the
streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the
land is gone.
23-29:19 The
meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice
in the Holy One of Israel.
23-32:13 Upon
the land of my people shall come up thorns and
briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city:
23-32:14 Because
the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the
forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy
of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;
23-35:2 It
shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy
and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of
Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.
23-35:10 And
the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and
everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall
obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing
shall flee away.
23-51:3 For
the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will
make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving,
and the voice of melody.
23-51:11 Therefore
the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and
everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow
and mourning shall flee away.
23-52:9 Break
forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places
of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed
Jerusalem.
23-55:12 For
ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with
peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing,
and all the trees of the field shall clap their
hands.
23-60:15 Whereas
thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal
excellency, a joy of many generations.
23-61:3 To
appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the
oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise
for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness,
the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
23-61:7 For
your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in
their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double:
everlasting joy shall be unto them.
23-65:14 Behold,
my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye
shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
23-65:18 But
be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which
I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
23-65:19 And
I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my
people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice
of crying.
23-66:5 Hear
the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated
you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but
he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be
ashamed.
23-66:10 Rejoice
ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
24-15:16 Thy
words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by
thy name, O LORD God of hosts.
24-31:13 Then
shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I
will turn their mourning into joy, and will
comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.
24-33:9 And
it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an
honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that
I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for
all the prosperity that I procure unto it.
24-33:11 The
voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the
voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that
shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth
for ever: and of them that shall
bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to
return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.
24-48:27 For
was not Israel a derision unto thee? was he found among thieves? for since thou
spakest of him, thou skippedst for joy.
24-48:33 And
joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful
field, and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to fail from the
winepresses: none shall tread with shouting; their shouting shall be no
shouting.
24-49:25 How
is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy!
25-2:15 All
that pass by clap their hands at
thee; they hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men call The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth?
25-5:15 The
joy of our heart is ceased; our dance is turned
into mourning.
26-24:25 Also,
thou son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them
their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire
of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their minds, their sons and their
daughters,
26-36:5 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken
against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have
appointed my land into their possession with the joy
of all their heart, with despiteful
minds, to cast it out for a prey.
28-9:1 Rejoice
not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast
loved a reward upon every cornfloor.
29-1:12 The
vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm
tree also, and the apple tree, even all
the trees of the field, are withered: because joy
is withered away from the sons of men.
29-1:16 Is
not the meat cut off before our eyes, yea,
joy and gladness from the house of our God?
35-3:18 Yet
I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the
God of my salvation.
36-3:17 The
LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty;
he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy;
he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee
with singing.
38-8:19 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and
the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy
and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.
40-2:10 When
they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
40-13:20 But
he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the
word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
40-13:44 Again,
the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a
man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof
goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
40-25:21 His
lord said unto him, Well done, thou good
and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make
thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy
of thy lord.
40-25:23 His
lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been
faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou
into the joy of thy lord.
40-28:8 And
they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
42-1:14 And
thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall
rejoice at his birth.
42-1:44 For,
lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe
leaped in my womb for joy.
42-2:10 And
the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of
great joy, which shall be to all people.
42-6:23 Rejoice
ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold,
your reward is great in heaven: for
in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
42-8:13 They
on the rock are they, which, when
they hear, receive the word with joy; and these
have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
42-10:17 And
the seventy returned again with joy, saying,
Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
42-15:7 I
say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in
heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just
persons, which need no repentance.
42-15:10 Likewise,
I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of
the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
42-24:41 And
while they yet believed not for joy, and
wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42-24:52 And
they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
43-3:29 He
that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which
standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice:
this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
43-15:11 These
things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might
remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
43-16:20 Verily,
verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall
rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
43-16:21 A
woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon
as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
43-16:22 And
ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall
rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
43-16:24 Hitherto
have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
43-17:13 And
now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have
my joy fulfilled in themselves.
44-2:28 Thou
hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
44-8:8 And
there was great joy in that city.
44-13:52 And
the disciples were filled with joy, and with the
Holy Ghost.
44-15:3 And
being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and
Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
44-20:24 But
none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that
I might finish my course with joy, and the
ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the
grace of God.
45-5:11 And
not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we
have now received the atonement.
45-14:17 For
the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
45-15:13 Now
the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace
in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
45-15:32 That
I may come unto you with joy by the will of God,
and may with you be refreshed.
47-1:24 Not
for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.
47-2:3 And
I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them
of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.
47-7:13 Therefore
we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for
the joy of Titus, because his spirit was
refreshed by you all.
47-8:2 How
that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of
their liberality.
48-5:22 But
the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
50-1:4 Always
in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
50-1:25 And
having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for
your furtherance and joy of faith;
50-2:2 Fulfil
ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the
same love, being of one accord, of
one mind.
50-2:17 Yea,
and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
50-2:18 For
the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with
me.
50-4:1 Therefore,
my brethren, dearly beloved and longed for, my joy
and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly
beloved.
52-1:6 And
ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much
affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:
52-2:19 For
what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his
coming?
52-2:20 For
ye are our glory and joy.
52-3:9 For
what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy
for your sakes before our God;
55-1:4 Greatly
desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;
57-1:7 For
we have great joy and consolation in thy love,
because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.
57-1:20 Yea,
brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord:
refresh my bowels in the Lord.
58-12:2 Looking
unto Jesus the author and finisher of our
faith; who for the joy that was set before
him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand
of the throne of God.
58-13:17 Obey
them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for
your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
59-1:2 My
brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into
divers temptations;
59-4:9 Be
afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy
to heaviness.
60-1:8 Whom
having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy
unspeakable and full of glory:
60-4:13 But
rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his
glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
62-1:4 And
these things write we unto you, that your joy
may be full.
63-1:12 Having
many things to write unto you, I would not write
with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face,
that our joy may be full.
64-1:4 I
have no greater joy than to hear that my
children walk in truth.
65-1:24 Now
unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his
glory with exceeding joy,

47-2 CORINTHIANS
47-7:13 Therefore
we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was
refreshed by you all.

11-1 KINGS
11-8:66 On
the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king, and went
unto their tents joyful and glad of heart for
all the goodness that the LORD had done for David his servant, and for Israel
his people.
15-EZRA
15-6:22 And
kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy: for the LORD had made
them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of
Assyria unto them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God,
the God of Israel.
17-ESTHER
17-5:9 Then
went Haman forth that day joyful and with a glad
heart: but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king’s gate, that he stood not up, nor
moved for him, he was full of indignation against Mordecai.
18-3:7 Lo,
let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice
come therein.
19-5:11 But
let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy,
because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
19-35:9 And
my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall
rejoice in his salvation.
19-63:5 My
soul shall be satisfied as with marrow
and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee
with joyful lips:
19-66:1 Make
a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:
19-81:1 Sing
aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise
unto the God of Jacob.
19-89:15 Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countena
