01-GENESIS
01-26:5 Because
that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my
charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
01-29:9 And
while he yet spake with them, Rachel came with her father’s sheep: for she kept them.
01-39:9 There is none greater in this house than
I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me
but thee, because thou art his wife: how
then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
01-42:16 Send
one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and ye shall be kept in prison, that your words may be proved, whether
there be any truth in you: or else by
the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies.
02-3:1 Now
Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in
law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert,
and came to the
02-16:23 And
he said unto them, This is that which
the LORD hath said, To morrow is the
rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to
day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up
for you to be kept until the morning.
02-16:32 And
Moses said, This is the thing which
the LORD commandeth, Fill an omer of it to be kept
for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in
the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the
02-16:33 And
Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and
lay it up before the LORD, to be kept for your
generations.
02-16:34 As
the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.
02-21:29 But
if the ox were wont to push with his horn in time past, and it hath been
testified to his owner, and he hath not kept him
in, but that he hath killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his
owner also shall be put to death.
02-21:36 Or
if it be known that the ox hath used to push in time past, and his owner hath
not kept him in; he shall surely pay ox for ox;
and the dead shall be his own.
04-5:13 And
a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be
kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither
she be taken with the manner;
04-9:5 And
they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of
the first month at even in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the
LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of
04-9:7 And
those men said unto him, We are defiled
by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept
back, that we may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season
among the children of Israel?
04-9:19 And
when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of
Israel kept the charge of the LORD, and
journeyed not.
04-9:23 At
the commandment of the LORD they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of
the LORD they journeyed: they kept the charge of
the LORD, at the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
04-17:10 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron’s rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt
quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.
04-19:9 And
a man that is clean shall gather up
the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up
without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept
for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin.
04-24:11 Therefore
now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but,
lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour.
04-31:47 Even
of the children of
05-32:10 He
found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about,
he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of
his eye.
05-33:9 Who
said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he
acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy
word, and kept thy covenant.
06-5:10 And
the children of
06-14:10 And
now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he
said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto
Moses, while the children of Israel
wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am
this day fourscore and five years old.
06-22:2 And
said unto them, Ye have kept all that Moses the
servant of the LORD commanded you, and have obeyed my voice in all that I
commanded you:
06-22:3 Ye
have not left your brethren these many days unto this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of the LORD your
God.
08-2:23 So
she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean
unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her mother
in law.
09-9:24 And
the cook took up the shoulder, and that which
was upon it, and set it before Saul. And Samuel said, Behold that which is left! set it before thee, and eat:
for unto this time hath it been kept for thee
since I said, I have invited the people. So Saul did eat with Samuel that day.
09-13:13 And
Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he
commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon
09-13:14 But
now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his
own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to
be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept
that which the LORD commanded thee.
09-17:34 And
David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his
father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the
flock:
09-21:4 And
the priest answered David, and said, There
is no common bread under mine hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the
young men have kept themselves at least from
women.
09-21:5 And
David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept
from us about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young
men are holy, and the bread is in a
manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel.
09-25:21 Now
David had said, Surely in vain have I kept all
that this fellow hath in the
wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that pertained unto him: and he hath requited me evil for good.
09-25:33 And
blessed be thy advice, and blessed be thou, which hast kept me this day from coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself with mine own hand.
09-25:34 For
in very deed, as the LORD God of
Israel liveth, which hath kept me back from
hurting thee, except thou hadst hasted and come to meet me, surely there had not
been left unto Nabal by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.
09-25:39 And
when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the LORD, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach from the
hand of Nabal, and hath kept his servant from
evil: for the LORD hath returned the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head. And
David sent and communed with Abigail, to take her to him to wife.
09-26:15 And
David said to Abner, Art not thou a valiant man? and who is like to thee in Israel? wherefore
then hast thou not kept thy lord the king? for
there came one of the people in to destroy the king thy lord.
09-26:16 This
thing is not good that thou hast
done. As the LORD liveth, ye are worthy to die, because ye have not kept your master, the LORD’S anointed. And now see
where the king’s spear is, and the
cruse of water that was at his
bolster.
10-13:34 But
Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the
watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the
way of the hill side behind him.
10-22:22 For
I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not
wickedly departed from my God.
10-22:24 I
was also upright before him, and have kept
myself from mine iniquity.
10-22:44 Thou
also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me to be head
of the heathen: a people which I knew
not shall serve me.
11-2:43 Why
then hast thou not kept the oath of the LORD,
and the commandment that I have charged thee with?
11-3:6 And
Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy,
according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in
uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept
for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his
throne, as it is this day.
11-8:24 Who
hast kept with thy servant David my father that
thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.
11-11:10 And
had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other
gods: but he kept not that which the LORD
commanded.
11-11:11 Wherefore
the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast
not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I
have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it
to thy servant.
11-11:34 Howbeit
I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand: but I will make him prince
all the days of his life for David my servant’s sake, whom I chose, because he kept my commandments and my statutes:
11-13:21 And
he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD,
Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded
thee,
11-14:8 And
rent the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it thee: and yet thou hast not been as my servant
David, who kept my commandments, and who
followed me with all his heart, to do that
only which was right in mine
eyes;
11-14:27 And
king Rehoboam made in their stead brasen shields, and committed them unto the hands of the chief of the
guard, which kept the door of the king’s house.
12-9:14 So
Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now
Joram had kept Ramothgilead, he and all Israel,
because of Hazael king of Syria.
12-12:9 But
Jehoiada the priest took a chest, and bored a hole in the lid of it, and set it
beside the altar, on the right side as one cometh into the house of the LORD:
and the priests that kept the door put therein
all the money that was brought into
the house of the LORD.
12-17:19 Also
Judah kept not the commandments of the LORD
their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.
12-18:6 For
he clave to the LORD, and departed
not from following him, but kept his
commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses.
13-10:13 So
Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which
he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;
13-12:1 Now
these are they that came to David to
Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because
of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among
the mighty men, helpers of the war.
13-12:29 And
of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto
the greatest part of them had kept the ward of
the house of Saul.
14-6:15 Thou
which hast kept with thy servant David my father
that which thou hast promised him; and spakest with thy mouth, and hast
fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.
14-7:8 Also
at the same time Solomon kept the feast seven days,
and all Israel with him, a very great congregation, from the entering in of
Hamath unto the river of Egypt.
14-7:9 And
in the eighth day they made a solemn assembly: for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven
days.
14-12:10 Instead
of which king Rehoboam made shields of brass, and committed them to the hands of the chief of the
guard, that kept the entrance of the king’s
house.
14-30:21 And
the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept
the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites
and the priests praised the LORD day by day, singing with loud instruments unto the LORD.
14-30:23 And
the whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days: and they kept other seven
days with gladness.
14-34:9 And
when they came to Hilkiah the high priest, they delivered the money that was
brought into the house of God, which the Levites that kept
the doors had gathered of the hand of Manasseh and Ephraim, and of all the remnant
of Israel, and of all Judah and Benjamin; and they returned to Jerusalem.
14-34:21 Go,
enquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left in Israel and in Judah,
concerning the words of the book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because our
fathers have not kept the word of the LORD, to
do after all that is written in this book.
14-35:1 Moreover
Josiah kept a passover unto the LORD in
Jerusalem: and they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.
14-35:17 And
the children of Israel that were present kept
the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.
14-35:18 And
there was no passover like to that kept in Israel
from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel keep
such a passover as Josiah kept, and the priests,
and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the
inhabitants of Jerusalem.
14-35:19 In
the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah was this passover kept.
14-36:21 To
fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had
enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as
she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil
threescore and ten years.
15-3:4 They
kept also the feast of tabernacles, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number, according to the
custom, as the duty of every day required;
15-6:16 And
the children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the
children of the captivity, kept the dedication
of this house of God with joy,
15-6:19 And
the children of the captivity kept the passover
upon the fourteenth day of the first
month.
15-6:22 And
kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days
with joy: for the LORD had made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king
of Assyria unto them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of
God, the God of Israel.
16-1:7 We
have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept
the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst
thy servant Moses.
16-8:18 Also
day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the
law of God. And they kept the feast seven days;
and on the eighth day was a solemn
assembly, according unto the manner.
16-9:34 Neither
have our kings, our princes, our priests, nor our fathers, kept thy law, nor hearkened unto thy commandments and
thy testimonies, wherewith thou didst testify against them.
16-11:19 Moreover
the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren that kept
the gates, were an hundred seventy
and two.
16-12:45 And
both the singers and the porters kept the ward
of their God, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of
David, and of Solomon his son.
17-2:14 In
the evening she went, and on the morrow she returned into the second house of
the women, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king’s chamberlain, which kept the concubines: she came in unto the king no
more, except the king delighted in her, and that she were called by name.
17-2:21 In
those days, while Mordecai sat in the king’s gate, two of the king’s
chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of those which kept
the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.
17-9:28 And
that these days should be remembered and kept
throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim should not fail
from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed.
18-23:11 My
foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept,
and not declined.
18-28:21 Seeing
it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept
close from the fowls of the air.
18-29:21 Unto
me men gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.
18-31:34 Did
I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and
went not out of the door?
19-17:4 Concerning
the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept
me from the paths of the destroyer.
19-18:21 For
I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not
wickedly departed from my God.
19-18:23 I
was also upright before him, and I kept myself
from mine iniquity.
19-30:3 O
LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
19-32:3 When
I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my
roaring all the day long.
19-42:4 When
I remember these things, I pour out
my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house
of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
19-50:21 These
things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.
19-78:10 They
kept not the covenant of God, and refused to
walk in his law;
19-78:56 Yet
they tempted and provoked the most high God, and kept
not his testimonies:
19-99:7 He
spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his
testimonies, and the ordinance that he
gave them.
19-119:22 Remove
from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept
thy testimonies.
19-119:55 I
have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law.
19-119:56 This
I had, because I kept thy precepts.
19-119:67 Before
I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept
thy word.
19-119:158 I
beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.
19-119:167 My
soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them
exceedingly.
19-119:168 I
have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for
all my ways are before thee.
21-2:10 And
whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from
them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour:
and this was my portion of all my labour.
21-5:13 There
is a sore evil which I have seen
under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt.
22-1:6 Look
not upon me, because I am black, because
the sun hath looked upon me: my mother’s children were angry with me; they made
me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine
own vineyard have I not kept.
23-30:29 Ye
shall have a song, as in the night when a
holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart,
as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the
mighty One of Israel.
24-16:11 Then
shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the
LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have
worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept
my law;
24-35:18 And
Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the LORD of hosts,
the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your
father, and kept all his precepts, and done
according unto all that he hath commanded you:
26-5:7 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither
have kept my judgments, neither have done
according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you;
26-18:9 Hath
walked in my statutes, and hath kept my
judgments, to deal truly; he is just,
he shall surely live, saith the Lord GOD.
26-18:19 Yet
say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son
hath done that which is lawful and right, and
hath kept all my statutes, and hath done
them, he shall surely live.
26-20:21 Notwithstanding
the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them;
they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to
accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.
26-44:8 And
ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things:
but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves.
26-44:15 But
the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept
the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me,
they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me
to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD:
26-48:11 It shall be for the priests that are
sanctified of the sons of Zadok; which have kept
my charge, which went not astray when the children of Israel went astray, as
the Levites went astray.
27-5:19 And
for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled
and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he
would he put down.
27-7:28 Hitherto
is the end of the matter. As for me
Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but
I kept the matter in my heart.
28-12:12 And
Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a
wife he kept sheep.
30-1:11 Thus
saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn
away the punishment thereof; because
he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his
anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his
wrath for ever:
30-2:4 Thus
saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not
turn away the punishment thereof;
because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to
err, after the which their fathers have walked:
33-6:16 For
the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works
of the house of Ahab, and ye walk in their counsels; that I should make thee a
desolation, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall bear the
reproach of my people.
39-2:9 Therefore
have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as
ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial
in the law.
39-3:7 Even
from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have
not kept them.
Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye
said, Wherein shall we return?
39-3:14 Ye
have said, It is vain to serve God:
and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully
before the LORD of hosts?
40-8:33 And
they that kept them fled, and went their ways
into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of
the devils.
40-13:35 That
it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my
mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept
secret from the foundation of the world.
40-14:6 But
when Herod’s birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias
danced before them, and pleased Herod.
40-19:20 The
young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept
from my youth up: what lack I yet?
41-4:22 For
there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
41-9:10 And
they kept that saying with themselves,
questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.
42-2:19 But
Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.
42-2:51 And
he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but
his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
42-8:29 (For
he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it
had caught him: and he was kept bound with
chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into
the wilderness.)
42-9:36 And
when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close,
and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.
42-18:21 And
he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
42-19:20 And
another came, saying, Lord, behold, here
is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a
napkin:
43-2:10 And
saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when
men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine
until now.
43-12:7 Then
said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.
43-15:10 If
ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
43-15:20 Remember
the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If
they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
43-17:6 I
have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world:
thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
43-17:12 While
I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy
name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and
none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be
fulfilled.
43-18:16 But
Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was
known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept
the door, and brought in Peter.
43-18:17 Then
saith the damsel that kept the door unto Peter,
Art not thou also one of this man’s
disciples? He saith, I am not.
44-5:2 And
kept back part
of the price, his wife also being privy to
it, and brought a certain part, and laid it, at the apostles’ feet.
44-7:53 Who
have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
44-9:33 And
there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept
his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy.
44-12:5 Peter
therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was
made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
44-12:6 And
when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping
between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.
44-15:12 Then
all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience
to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among
the Gentiles by them.
44-20:20 And how I kept
back nothing that was profitable unto
you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to
house,
44-22:2 (And
when they heard that he spake in the Hebrew tongue to them, they kept the more silence: and he saith,)
44-22:20 And
when the blood of thy martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by, and
consenting unto his death, and kept the raiment
of them that slew him.
44-23:35 I
