08-1:2 And
the name of the man was Elimelech,
and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons
Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehemjudah. And they came into the
country of Moab, and continued there.
08-1:8 And
Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return
each to her mother’s house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt
with the dead, and with me.
08-1:11 And
Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go
with me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may
be your husbands?
08-1:19 So
they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were
come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?
08-1:20 And
she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty
hath dealt very bitterly with me.
08-1:21 I
went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi,
seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?
08-1:22 So
Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in
law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to
Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.
08-2:1 And
Naomi had a kinsman of her husband’s, a mighty man of
wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz.
08-2:2 And
Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and
glean ears of corn after him in whose
sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter.
08-2:6 And
the servant that was set over the reapers answered and said, It is the Moabitish damsel that came back
with Naomi out of the country of Moab:
08-2:20 And
Naomi said unto her daughter in law, Blessed be he of the LORD, who hath not left off
his kindness to the living and to the dead. And Naomi said
unto her, The man is near of kin unto
us, one of our next kinsmen.
08-2:22 And
Naomi said unto Ruth her daughter in law, It is good, my daughter, that thou go
out with his maidens, that they meet thee not in any other field.
08-3:1 Then
Naomi her mother in law said unto her, My daughter,
shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee?
08-4:3 And
he said unto the kinsman, Naomi, that is come again out of the
country of Moab, selleth a parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech’s:
08-4:5 Then
said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up
the name of the dead upon his inheritance.
08-4:9 And
Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all
the people, Ye are witnesses this day,
that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s,
and all that was Chilion’s and
Mahlon’s, of the hand of Naomi.
08-4:14 And
the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be
the LORD, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his
name may be famous in Israel.
08-4:16 And
Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and
became nurse unto it.
08-4:17 And
the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of
David.

01-30:8 And
Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister, and I have
prevailed: and she called his name Naphtali.
01-35:25 And the
sons of Bilhah, Rachel’s handmaid; Dan, and Naphtali:
01-46:24 And the
sons of Naphtali; Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
01-49:21 Naphtali is a
hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.
02-1:4 Dan, and Naphtali,
Gad, and Asher.
04-1:15 Of Naphtali; Ahira the son of Enan.
04-1:42 Of the
children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their
families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names,
from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:43 Those
that were numbered of them, even of
the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty
and three thousand and four hundred.
04-2:29 Then the
tribe of Naphtali: and the captain of the children of Naphtali shall be
Ahira the son of Enan.
04-7:78 On the
twelfth day Ahira the son of Enan, prince of the children of Naphtali, offered:
04-10:27 And over
the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan.
04-13:14 Of the
tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi.
04-26:48 Of the sons of Naphtali
after their families: of Jahzeel, the family of the Jahzeelites: of Guni, the
family of the Gunites:
04-26:50 These are the families of Naphtali according to their families: and they that
were numbered of them were forty and
five thousand and four hundred.
04-34:28 And the
prince of the tribe of the children of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.
05-27:13 And these shall
stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
05-33:23 And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali,
satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the
west and the south.
05-34:2 And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and
all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea,
06-19:32 The sixth
lot came out to the children of Naphtali, even for the children of Naphtali according to their families.
06-19:39 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the
children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities and
their villages.
06-20:7 And they
appointed Kedesh in Galilee in mount Naphtali, and Shechem in mount Ephraim,
and Kirjatharba, which is Hebron, in
the mountain of Judah.
06-21:6 And the
children of Gershon had by lot out of
the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out
of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in
Bashan, thirteen cities.
06-21:32 And out of
the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer;
and Hammothdor with her suburbs, and Kartan with her suburbs; three cities.
07-1:33 Neither
did Naphtali drive out the inhabitants of Bethshemesh, nor
the inhabitants of Bethanath; but he dwelt among the Canaanites, the
inhabitants of the land: nevertheless the inhabitants of Bethshemesh and of
Bethanath became tributaries unto them.
07-4:6 And
she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said
unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten
thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?
07-4:10 And
Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and he went up with
ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.
07-5:18 Zebulun
and Naphtali were a
people that jeoparded their lives
unto the death in the high places of the field.
07-6:35 And
he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh; who also was gathered after him:
and he sent messengers unto Asher, and unto Zebulun, and unto Naphtali; and they came up to meet them.
07-7:23 And
the men of Israel gathered themselves together out of Naphtali,
and out of Asher, and out of all Manasseh, and pursued after the Midianites.
11-4:15 Ahimaaz
was in Naphtali; he
also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
11-7:14 He
was a widow’s son of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass: and he was filled with
wisdom, and understanding, and cunning to work all works in brass. And he came
to king Solomon, and wrought all his work.
11-15:20 So
Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of the hosts which he
had against the cities of Israel, and smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelbethmaachah,
and all Cinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.
12-15:29 In
the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and took
Ijon, and Abelbethmaachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and
Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to
Assyria.
13-2:2 Dan,
Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
13-6:62 And
to the sons of Gershom throughout their families out of the tribe of Issachar,
and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali,
and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
13-6:76 And
out of the tribe of Naphtali; Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, and
Hammon with her suburbs, and Kirjathaim with her suburbs.
13-7:13 The
sons of Naphtali; Jahziel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shallum,
the sons of Bilhah.
13-12:34 And
of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield
and spear thirty and seven thousand.
13-12:40 Moreover
they that were nigh them, even unto
Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on
camels, and on mules, and on oxen, and meat,
meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and
sheep abundantly: for there was joy
in Israel.
13-27:19 Of
Zebulun, Ishmaiah the son of Obadiah: of Naphtali,
Jerimoth the son of Azriel:
14-16:4 And
Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against
the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelmaim, and all the
store cities of Naphtali.
14-34:6 And
so did he in the cities of Manasseh,
and Ephraim, and Simeon, even unto Naphtali, with their mattocks round
about.
19-68:27 There
is little Benjamin with their ruler, the princes of Judah and their council, the princes of
Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.
23-9:1 Nevertheless
the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land
of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more
grievously afflict her by the way of
the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
26-48:3 And
by the border of Asher, from the east side even unto the west side, a portion for Naphtali.
26-48:4 And
by the border of Naphtali, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for Manasseh.
26-48:34 At
the west side four thousand and five hundred, with their three gates; one gate of Gad, one gate of Asher, one
gate of Naphtali.

in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee.
11-6:4 And for
the house he made windows of narrow lights.
20-23:27 For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.
23-49:19 For thy waste and thy desolate
places, and the land of thy destruction, shall even now be too narrow by reason of the
inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away.
26-40:16 And there were narrow
windows to the little chambers, and to their posts within the gate round about,
and likewise to the arches: and windows were
round about inward: and upon each post
were palm trees.
26-41:16 The door posts, and the narrow windows, and the galleries
round about on their three stories, over against the door, cieled with wood
round about, and from the ground up to the windows, and the windows were covered;
26-41:26 And there were narrow
windows and palm trees on the one side and on the other side, on the sides of
the porch, and upon the side chambers

10-5:14 And
these be the names of those that were
born unto him in Jerusalem; Shammuah, and Shobab, and Nathan, and
Solomon,
10-7:2 That
the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar,
but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.
10-7:3 And
Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the LORD is with thee.
10-7:4 And
it came to pass that night, that the word of the LORD came unto Nathan, saying,
10-7:17 According
to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
10-12:1 And
the LORD sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto
him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.
10-12:5 And
David’s anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the
LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing
shall surely die:
10-12:7 And
Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee
king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;
10-12:13 And
David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy
sin; thou shalt not die.
10-12:15 And
Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the
child that Uriah’s wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.
10-12:25 And
he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet; and he called his
name Jedidiah, because of the LORD.
10-23:36 Igal
the son of Nathan of Zobah, Bani the Gadite,
11-1:8 But
Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the
prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men which belonged to David, were not with Adonijah.
11-1:10 But
Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men,
and Solomon his brother, he called not.
11-1:11 Wherefore
Nathan spake unto Bathsheba the mother of Solomon,
saying, Hast thou not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith doth reign, and
David our lord knoweth it not?
11-1:22 And,
lo, while she yet talked with the king, Nathan the prophet also came in.
11-1:23 And
they told the king, saying, Behold Nathan the prophet. And when he was come
in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the
ground.
11-1:24 And
Nathan said, My lord, O king, hast thou said, Adonijah
shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne?
11-1:32 And
king David said, Call me Zadok the priest, and Nathan the
prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada. And they came before the king.
11-1:34 And
let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king
over Israel: and blow ye with the trumpet, and say, God save king Solomon.
11-1:38 So
Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son
of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused
Solomon to ride upon king David’s mule, and brought him to Gihon.
11-1:44 And
the king hath sent with him Zadok the priest, and Nathan the
prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the
Pelethites, and they have caused him to ride upon the king’s mule:
11-1:45 And
Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him king
in Gihon: and they are come up from thence rejoicing, so that the city rang
again. This is the noise that ye have
heard.
11-4:5 And
Azariah the son of Nathan was over
the officers; and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the
king’s friend:
13-2:36 And
Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,
13-3:5 And
these were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shimea, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bathshua the daughter of
Ammiel:
13-11:38 Joel
the brother of Nathan, Mibhar the son of Haggeri,
13-14:4 Now
these are the names of his children which he had in Jerusalem;
Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,
13-17:1 Now
it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars,
but the ark of the covenant of the LORD remaineth
under curtains.
13-17:2 Then
Nathan said unto David, Do all that is in thine heart; for God is with thee.
13-17:3 And
it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
13-17:15 According
to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
13-29:29 Now
the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,
14-9:29 Now
the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the book of Nathan the
prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of
Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
14-29:25 And
he set the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, with psalteries, and
with harps, according to the commandment of David, and of Gad the king’s seer,
and Nathan the prophet: for so was the commandment of the LORD by his prophets.
15-8:16 Then
sent I for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib,
and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for
Meshullam, chief men; also for Joiarib, and for Elnathan, men of understanding.
15-10:39 And
Shelemiah, and Nathan, and Adaiah,
19-51:title To
the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had
gone in to Bathsheba.
38-12:12 And
the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David
apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;
42-3:31 Which was
the son of Melea, which was the son of Menan, which was the son of Mattatha, which was the son of Nathan,
which was the son of David,

findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of
whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son
of Joseph.
43-1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come
out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
43-1:47 Jesus saw
Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an
Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
43-1:48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus
answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast
under the fig tree, I saw thee.
43-1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art
the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
43-21:2 There
were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his
disciples.

01-12:2 And I
will make of thee a great nation, and I will
bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
01-15:14 And also
that nation, whom they shall serve, will I
judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
01-17:20 And as for
Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him
fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and
I will make him a great nation.
01-18:18 Seeing
that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation,
and all the nations of the earth shall be
blessed in him?
01-20:4 But
Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a
righteous nation?
01-21:13 And also
of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation,
because he is thy seed.
01-21:18 Arise, lift
up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.
01-35:11 And God
said unto him, I am God Almighty: be
fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of
nations shall be of thee, and kings shall
come out of thy loins;
01-46:3 And he
said, I am God, the God of thy
father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:
02-9:24 So there was hail, and fire mingled
with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of
Egypt since it became a nation.
02-19:6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of
priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak
unto the children of Israel.
02-21:8 If she please not her master, who
hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her
unto a strange nation he shall have no power,
seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.
02-32:10 Now therefore let me alone, that my
wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of
thee a great nation.
02-33:13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have
found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may
find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation
is thy people.
02-34:10 And he said, Behold, I make a
covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done
in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the
people among which thou art shall see
the work of the LORD: for it is a
terrible thing that I will do with thee.
03-18:26 Ye shall
therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
03-20:23 And ye
shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which
I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I
abhorred them.
04-14:12 I will
smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a
greater nation and mightier than they.
05-4:6 Keep
therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in
the sight of the nations, which shall hear
all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation
is a wise and understanding people.
05-4:7 For what
nation is
there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
05-4:8 And what
nation is
there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
05-4:34 Or hath
God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs,
and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm,
and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in
Egypt before your eyes?
05-9:14 Let me
alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and
I will make of thee a nation mightier and
greater than they.
05-26:5 And thou shalt
speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into
Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:
05-28:33 The fruit
of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation
which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed
alway:
05-28:36 The LORD
shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known;
and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
05-28:49 The LORD
shall bring a nation against thee from far, from
the end of the earth, as swift as the
eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt
not understand;
05-28:50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard
the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
05-32:21 They have
moved me to jealousy with that which is not
God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them
to jealousy with those which are not
a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
05-32:28 For they are a nation
void of counsel, neither is there any understanding
in them.
10-7:23 And
what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself,
and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy
land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations
and their gods?
11-18:10 As the LORD thy God liveth, there is no nation or kingdom, whither my lord hath not sent to
seek thee: and when they said, He is not
there; he took an oath of the kingdom
and nation, that they found thee not.
12-17:29 Howbeit
every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places
which the Samaritans had made, every nation in
their cities wherein they dwelt.
13-16:20 And
when they went from nation to nation, and
from one kingdom to another people;
13-17:21 And
what one nation in the earth is like thy people Israel, whom God went
to redeem to be his own people, to
make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy people, whom thou hast
redeemed out of Egypt?
14-15:6 And
nation was destroyed of nation,
and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.
14-32:15 Now
therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you on this manner,
neither yet believe him: for no god of any nation
or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of mine hand, and out of the hand
of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of mine hand?
18-34:29 When
he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him?
whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:
19-33:12 Blessed
is the nation
whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
19-43:1 Judge
me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation:
O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
19-83:4 They
have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of
Israel may be no more in remembrance.
19-105:13 When
they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
19-106:5 That
I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.
19-147:20 He
hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known
them. Praise ye the LORD.
20-14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is
a reproach to any people.
23-1:4 Ah
sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a
seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they
have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
23-2:4 And
he shall judge among the nations, and shall
rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their
spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift
up sword against nation, neither shall they
learn war any more.
23-9:3 Thou
hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the
joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
23-10:6 I
will send him against an hypocritical nation,
and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil,
and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
23-14:32 What
shall one then answer the messengers
of the nation? That the LORD hath founded Zion,
and the poor of his people shall trust in it.
23-18:2 That
sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from
their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and
trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!
23-18:7 In
that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people
scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto;
a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose
land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts,
the mount Zion.
23-26:2 Open
ye the gates, that the righteous nation which
keepeth the truth may enter in.
23-26:15 Thou
hast increased the nation, O LORD, thou hast
increased the nation: thou art glorified: thou
hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth.
23-49:7 Thus
saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and
his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall
see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is
faithful, and the Holy One of Israel,
and he shall choose thee.
23-51:4 Hearken
unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation:
for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a
light of the people.
23-55:5 Behold,
thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations
that knew not thee shall run unto
thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath
glorified thee.
23-58:2 Yet
they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation
that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of
me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.
23-60:12 For
the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee
shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
23-60:22 A
little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.
23-65:1 I
am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold
me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
23-66:8 Who
hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to
bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed,
she brought forth her children.
24-2:11 Hath
a nation changed their gods, which are yet
no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.
24-5:9 Shall
I not visit for these things? saith
the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation
as this?
24-5:15 Lo,
I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house
of Israel, saith the LORD: it is a
mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither
understandest what they say.
24-5:29 Shall
I not visit for these things? saith
the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation
as this?
24-6:22 Thus
saith the LORD, Behold, a people cometh from the north country, and a great nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth.
24-7:28 But
thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their
God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their
mouth.
24-9:9 Shall
I not visit them for these things? saith
the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation
as this?
24-12:17 But
if they will not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation, saith the LORD.
24-18:7 At what instant I shall speak concerning
a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up,
and to pull down, and to destroy it;
24-18:8 If
that nation, against whom I have pronounced,
turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.
24-18:9 And
at what instant I shall speak
concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom,
to build and to plant it;
24-25:12 And
it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon,
and that nation, saith the LORD, for their
iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual
desolations.
24-25:32 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a
great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
24-27:8 And
it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same
Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the
yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I
punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence,
until I have consumed them by his hand.
24-27:13 Why
will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the
pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation
that will not serve the king of Babylon?
24-31:36 If
those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
24-33:24 Considerest
thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD
hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people,
that they should be no more a nation before
them.
24-48:2 There shall be no more praise of Moab:
in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation.
Also thou shalt be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.
24-49:31 Arise,
get you up unto the wealthy nation, that
dwelleth without care, saith the LORD, which have neither gates nor bars, which dwell alone.
24-49:36 And
upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and
will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come.
24-50:3 For
out of the north there cometh up a nation
against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein:
they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast.
24-50:41 Behold,
a people shall come from the north, and a great nation,
and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
25-4:17 As
for us, our eyes as yet failed for our vain help: in our watching we have
watched for a nation that could not save us.
26-2:3 And
he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious
nation that hath rebelled against me: they and
their fathers have transgressed against me, even
unto this very day.
26-37:22 And
I will make them one nation in the land upon the
mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be
no more two nations, neither shall they be
divided into two kingdoms any more at all:
27-3:29 Therefore
I make a decree, That every people, nation, and
language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and
Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill:
because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.
27-8:22 Now
that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up
out of the nation, but not in his power.
27-12:1 And
at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the
children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was
since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be
delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
29-1:6 For
a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and
without number, whose teeth are the
teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.
30-6:14 But,
behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O
house of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from
the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness.
33-4:3 And
he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations
afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears
into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a
sword against nation, neither shall they learn
war any more.
33-4:7 And
I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount
Zion from henceforth, even for ever.
35-1:6 For,
lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter
and hasty nation, which shall march through the
breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs.
36-2:1 Gather
yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation
not desired;
36-2:5 Woe
unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation
of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is
against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy
thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.
37-2:14 Then
answered Haggai, and said, So is this
people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that
which they offer there is unclean.
39-3:9 Ye
are cursed with a curse: for ye have
robbed me, even this whole nation.
40-21:43 Therefore
say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
40-24:7 For nation shall rise against nation,
and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and
earthquakes, in divers places.
41-7:26 The woman
was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she
besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
41-13:8 For nation shall rise against nation,
and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places,
and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
42-7:5 For he
loveth our nation, and he hath built us a
synagogue.
42-21:10 Then said
he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
42-23:2 And they
began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow
perverting the nation, and forbidding to
give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.
43-11:48 If we let
him thus alone, all men will believe
on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.
43-11:50 Nor consider
that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that
the whole nation perish not.
43-11:51 And this
spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that
Jesus should die for that nation;
43-11:52 And not
for that nation only, but that also he should
gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.
43-18:35 Pilate answered,
Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief
priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?
44-2:5 And
there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
44-7:7 And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge,
said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.
44-10:22 And they
said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of
good report among all the nation of the Jews,
was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to
hear words of thee.
44-10:28 And he
said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a
Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation;
but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
44-10:35 But in
every nation he that feareth him, and worketh
righteousness, is accepted with him.
44-24:2 And when
he was called forth, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy great quietness, and that
very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by
thy providence,
44-24:10 Then Paul,
after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as I
know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:
44-24:17 Now after
many years I came to bring alms to my nation,
and offerings.
44-26:4 My manner
of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
44-28:19 But when
the Jews spake against it, I was constrained
to appeal unto Caesar; not that I had ought to accuse my nation of.

Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
48-1:14 And
profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the
traditions of my fathers.
50-2:15 That ye
may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of
a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye
shine as lights in the world;
60-2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal
priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people;
that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of
darkness into his marvellous light:
66-5:9 And they sung a new song, saying,
Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast
slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and
tongue, and people, and nation;
66-14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the
midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell
on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred,
and tongue, and people,
