O,1 O
01-17:18 And
Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live
before thee!
01-24:12 And
he said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray
thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham.
01-24:42 And
I came this day unto the well, and said, O LORD
God of my master Abraham, if now thou do prosper my way which I go:
01-27:34 And
when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding
bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.
01-27:38 And
Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O
my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.
01-32:9 And
Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God
of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and
to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee:
01-43:20 And
said, O sir, we came indeed down at the first
time to buy food:
01-49:6 O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their
assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man,
and in their selfwill they digged down a wall.
01-49:18 I
have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.
02-4:10 And
Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor
since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.
02-4:13 And
he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the
hand of him whom thou wilt send.
02-15:6 Thy
right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power:
thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces
the enemy.
02-15:11 Who
is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?
02-15:16 Fear
and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people
pass over, O LORD, till the people pass over, which thou hast purchased.
02-15:17 Thou
shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O
LORD, which thou hast made for thee
to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy
hands have established.
02-32:4 And
he received them at their hand, and
fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they
said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of
Egypt.
02-32:8 They
have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made
them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and
said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land
of Egypt.
02-34:9 And
he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O
Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and
take us for thine inheritance.
04-10:36 And
when it rested, he said, Return, O LORD, unto
the many thousands of Israel.
04-12:13 And
Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O
God, I beseech thee.
04-16:22 And
they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the
God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with
all the congregation?
04-21:17 Then
Israel sang this song, Spring up, O well; sing
ye unto it:
04-21:29 Woe
to thee, Moab! thou art undone, O people of
Chemosh: he hath given his sons that escaped, and his daughters, into captivity
unto Sihon king of the Amorites.
04-24:5 How
goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!
05-3:24 O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy
greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works,
and according to thy might?
05-4:1 Now
therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes
and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the
LORD God of your fathers giveth you.
05-5:1 And
Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O
Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye
may learn them, and keep, and do them.
05-5:29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they
would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with
them, and with their children for ever!
05-6:3 Hear
therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and
that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised
thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
05-6:4 Hear,
O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
05-9:1 Hear,
O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations
greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,
05-9:26 I
prayed therefore unto the LORD, and said, O Lord
GOD, destroy not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed
through thy greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty
hand.
05-20:3 And
shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach
this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not,
and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them;
05-21:8 Be
merciful, O LORD, unto thy people Israel, whom
thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto thy people of Israel’s
charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them.
05-26:10 And
now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before
the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God:
05-27:9 And
Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and
hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the
people of the LORD thy God.
05-32:1 Give
ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
05-32:6 Do
ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and
unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made
thee, and established thee?
05-32:29 O that they were wise, that they understood this, that
they would consider their latter end!
05-32:43 Rejoice,
O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and
will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.
05-33:23 And
of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with
favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the
south.
05-33:29 Happy
art thou, O
Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help,
and who is the sword of thy
excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt
tread upon their high places.
06-7:7 And
Joshua said, Alas, O Lord GOD, wherefore hast
thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the
Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the
other side Jordan!
06-7:8 O Lord, what shall I say, when Israel turneth their
backs before their enemies!
06-7:13 Up,
sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus
saith the LORD God of Israel, There is an
accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel:
thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed
thing from among you.
07-3:19 But
he himself turned again from the quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret errand unto thee, O king: who said, Keep silence. And all that stood by
him went out from him.
07-5:3 Hear,
O ye kings; give ear, O
ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto
the LORD; I will sing praise to the
LORD God of Israel.
07-5:21 The
river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. O my soul, thou hast trodden down strength.
07-5:31 So
let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his
might. And the land had rest forty years.
07-6:22 And
when Gideon perceived that he was an
angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord
GOD! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD face to face.
07-13:8 Then
Manoah intreated the LORD, and said, O my Lord,
let the man of God which thou didst send come again unto us, and teach us what
we shall do unto the child that shall be born.
07-16:28 And
Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord
GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the
Philistines for my two eyes.
07-21:3 And
said, O LORD God of Israel, why is this come to
pass in Israel, that there should be to day one tribe lacking in Israel?
09-1:11 And
she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if
thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and
not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then
I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no
razor come upon his head.
09-4:9 Be
strong, and quit yourselves like men, O ye
Philistines, that ye be not servants unto the Hebrews, as they have been to
you: quit yourselves like men, and fight.
09-17:55 And
when Saul saw David go forth against the Philistine, he said unto Abner, the
captain of the host, Abner, whose son is this
youth? And Abner said, As thy soul
liveth, O king, I cannot tell.
09-20:12 And
Jonathan said unto David, O LORD God of Israel,
when I have sounded my father about to morrow any time, or the third day, and,
behold, if there be good toward
David, and I then send not unto thee, and shew it thee;
09-23:10 Then
said David, O LORD God of Israel, thy servant hath
certainly heard that Saul seeketh to come to Keilah, to destroy the city for my
sake.
09-23:11 Will
the men of Keilah deliver me up into his hand? will Saul come down, as thy
servant hath heard? O LORD God of Israel, I
beseech thee, tell thy servant. And the LORD said, He will come down.
09-23:20 Now
therefore, O king, come down according to all
the desire of thy soul to come down; and our part shall be to deliver him into the king’s hand.
09-26:17 And
Saul knew David’s voice, and said, Is this
thy voice, my son David? And David said, It
is my voice, my lord, O king.
10-1:25 How
are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! O
Jonathan, thou wast slain in thine
high places.
10-7:18 Then
went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O
Lord GOD? and what is my house, that
thou hast brought me hitherto?
10-7:19 And
this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord
GOD; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant’s house for a great while to
come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD?
10-7:22 Wherefore
thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according
to all that we have heard with our ears.
10-7:25 And
now, O LORD God, the word that thou hast spoken
concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as thou hast said.
10-7:27 For
thou, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, hast
revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy
servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee.
10-7:28 And
now, O Lord GOD, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this
goodness unto thy servant:
10-7:29 Therefore
now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue
for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord GOD, hast
spoken it: and with thy blessing let
the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.
10-14:4 And
when the woman of Tekoah spake to the king, she fell on her face to the ground,
and did obeisance, and said, Help, O king.
10-14:9 And
the woman of Tekoah said unto the king, My lord, O
king, the iniquity be on me, and on
my father’s house: and the king and his throne be guiltless.
10-14:22 And
Joab fell to the ground on his face, and bowed himself, and thanked the king:
and Joab said, To day thy servant knoweth that I have found grace in thy sight,
my lord, O king, in that the king hath fulfilled
the request of his servant.
10-15:31 And
one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.
And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the
counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.
10-15:34 But
if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I
have been thy father’s servant
hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me
defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.
10-16:4 Then
said the king to Ziba, Behold, thine are all
that pertained unto Mephibosheth. And
Ziba said, I humbly beseech thee that I
may find grace in thy sight, my lord, O king.
10-18:33 And
the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept:
and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom,
my son, my son Absalom! would God I had died for thee, O
Absalom, my son, my son!
10-19:4 But
the king covered his face, and the king cried with a loud voice, O my son Absalom, O
Absalom, my son, my son!
10-19:26 And
he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived
me: for thy servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that I may ride thereon, and
go to the king; because thy servant is lame.
10-20:1 And
there happened to be there a man of Belial, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew a trumpet,
and said, We have no part in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of
Jesse: every man to his tents, O Israel.
10-22:29 For
thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.
10-22:50 Therefore
I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the
heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.
10-23:17 And
he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I
should do this: is not this the blood
of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink
it. These things did these three mighty men.
10-24:10 And
David’s heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said
unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech
thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy
servant; for I have done very foolishly.
11-1:13 Go
and get thee in unto king David, and say unto him, Didst not thou, my lord, O king, swear unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon
thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? why then doth
Adonijah reign?
11-1:20 And
thou, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel are upon thee, that thou shouldest tell
them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.
11-1:24 And
Nathan said, My lord, O king, hast thou said,
Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne?
11-3:7 And
now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant
king instead of David my father: and I am
but a little child: I know not how to
go out or come in.
11-3:17 And
the one woman said, O my lord, I and this woman
dwell in one house; and I was delivered of a child with her in the house.
11-3:26 Then
spake the woman whose the living child was
unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise
slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it.
11-8:26 And
now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee,
be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David my father.
11-8:28 Yet
have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the
prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day:
11-8:53 For
thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be thine inheritance, as thou spakest
by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of
Egypt, O Lord GOD.
11-12:16 So
when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered
the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David. So Israel
departed unto their tents.
11-12:28 Whereupon
the king took counsel, and made two calves of
gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem:
behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up
out of the land of Egypt.
11-13:2 And
he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child
shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he
offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men’s
bones shall be burnt upon thee.
11-17:18 And
she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O
thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to
slay my son?
11-17:20 And
he cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God,
hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her
son?
11-17:21 And
he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and
said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this
child’s soul come into him again.
11-18:26 And
they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from
morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear
us. But there was no voice, nor any
that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.
11-18:37 Hear
me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know
that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back
again.
11-19:4 But
he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down
under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said,
It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life;
for I am not better than my fathers.
11-20:4 And
the king of Israel answered and said, My lord, O
king, according to thy saying, I am thine,
and all that I have.
11-21:20 And
Ahab said to Elijah, hast thou found me, O mine
enemy? And he answered, I have found thee;
because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the LORD.
11-22:28 And
Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me.
And he said, Hearken, O people, every one of
you.
12-1:11 Again
also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered
and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the
king said, Come down quickly.
12-1:13 And
he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third
captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and
besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I
pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious
in thy sight.
12-4:40 So
they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of
the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.
12-6:12 And
one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king:
but Elisha, the prophet that is in
Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy
bedchamber.
12-6:26 And
as the king of Israel was passing by upon the wall, there cried a woman unto
him, saying, Help, my lord, O king.
12-8:5 And
it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to
life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the
king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the
woman, and this is her son, whom
Elisha restored to life.
12-9:5 And
when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he
said, To thee, O captain.
12-9:23 And
Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, There is treachery, O Ahaziah.
12-13:14 Now
Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of
Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the
horsemen thereof.
12-19:15 And
Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O
LORD God of Israel, which dwellest between
the cherubims, thou art the God, even
thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and
earth.
12-19:19 Now
therefore, O LORD our God, I beseech thee, save
thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD God, even thou only.
12-20:3 I
beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have
walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And
Hezekiah wept sore.
13-16:13 O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob,
his chosen ones.
13-16:34 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth
for ever.
13-16:35 And
say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather
us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy
holy name, and glory in thy praise.
13-17:16 And
David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who am I, O LORD God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me
hitherto?
13-17:17 And
yet this was a small thing in thine
eyes, O God; for thou hast also spoken of thy servant’s house for a great while to come, and
hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.
13-17:19 O LORD, for thy servant’s sake, and according to thine
own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.
13-17:20 O LORD, there is
none like thee, neither is there any God
beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
13-17:25 For
thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou
wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath found in his heart to pray before thee.
13-17:27 Now
therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be
before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD,
and it shall be blessed for ever.
13-21:17 And
David said unto God, Is it not I that commanded the people to be
numbered? even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed; but as for these sheep, what have they done?
let thine hand, I pray thee, O LORD my God, be
on me, and on my father’s house; but not on thy people, that they should be
plagued.
13-29:11 Thine,
O LORD, is
the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the
majesty: for all that is in the
heaven and in the earth is thine; thine
is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.
13-29:16 O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to
build thee an house for thine holy name cometh
of thine hand, and is all thine
own.
13-29:18 O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our
fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of
thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:
14-1:9 Now,
O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father
be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the
earth in multitude.
14-6:14 And
said, O LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which
keepest covenant, and shewest mercy
unto thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts:
14-6:16 Now
therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy
servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall
not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that
thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked
before me.
14-6:17 Now
then, O LORD God of Israel, let thy word be
verified, which thou hast spoken unto thy servant David.
14-6:19 Have
respect therefore to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and the prayer
which thy servant prayeth before thee:
14-6:41 Now
therefore arise, O LORD God, into thy resting
place, thou, and the ark of thy strength: let thy priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let thy
saints rejoice in goodness.
14-6:42 O LORD God, turn not away the face of thine anointed:
remember the mercies of David thy servant.
14-10:16 And
when all Israel saw that the king
would not hearken unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion
have we in David? and we have none
inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to your tents, O Israel: and now,
David, see to thine own house. So all Israel went to their tents.
14-13:12 And,
behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with
sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O
children of Israel, fight ye not against the LORD God of your fathers; for ye
shall not prosper.
14-14:11 And
Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them
that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for
we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art
our God; let not man prevail against thee.
14-20:6 And
said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the
heathen? and in thine hand is there not power
and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?
14-20:12 O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no
might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what
to do: but our eyes are upon thee.
14-20:17 Ye
shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD
with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor
be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.
14-20:20 And
they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa:
and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in
the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall
ye prosper.
14-25:7 But
there came a man of God to him, saying, O king,
let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the LORD is not with Israel, to wit,
with all the children of Ephraim.
15-9:6 And
said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up
my face to thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up
unto the heavens.
15-9:10 And
now, O our God, what shall we say after this?
for we have forsaken thy commandments,
15-9:15 O LORD God of Israel, thou art righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as it is this day: behold, we are
before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee because of
this.
16-1:5 And
said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the
great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him
and observe his commandments:
16-1:11 O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive
to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to
fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him
mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.
16-4:4 Hear,
O our God; for we are despised: and turn their
reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of
captivity:
16-6:9 For
they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work,
that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.
16-13:14 Remember
me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out
my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices
thereof.
16-13:22 And
I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the
sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according
to the greatness of thy mercy.
16-13:29 Remember
them, O my God, because they have defiled the
priesthood, and the covenant of the priesthood, and of the Levites.
16-13:31 And
for the wood offering, at times appointed, and for the firstfruits. Remember
me, O my God, for good.
17-7:3 Then
Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be
given me at my petition, and my people at my request:
18-7:7 O remember that my life is wind: mine eye shall no more see good.
18-7:20 I
have sinned; what shall I do unto thee, O thou
preserver of men? why hast thou set me as a mark against thee, so that I am a
burden to myself?
18-13:5 O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it
should be your wisdom.
18-14:13 O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou
wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me
a set time, and remember me!
18-16:18 O earth, cover not thou my blood, and let my cry have
no place.
18-16:21 O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbour!
18-19:21 Have
pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my
friends; for the hand of God hath touched me.
18-33:31 Mark
well, O Job, hearken unto me: hold thy peace,
and I will speak.
18-34:2 Hear
my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.
18-37:14 Hearken
unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the
wondrous works of God.
19-2:10 Be
wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed,
ye judges of the earth.
19-3:3 But
thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
19-3:7 Arise,
O LORD; save me, O
my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
19-4:1 Hear
me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou
hast enlarged me when I was in
distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
19-4:2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and
seek after leasing? Selah.
19-5:1 Give
ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.
19-5:3 My
voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in
the morning will I direct my prayer unto
thee, and will look up.
19-5:8 Lead
me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine
enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
19-5:10 Destroy
thou them, O God; let them fall by their own
counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have
rebelled against thee.
19-6:1 O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten
me in thy hot displeasure.
19-6:2 Have
mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O
LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
19-6:3 My
soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how
long?
19-6:4 Return,
O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy
mercies’ sake.
19-7:1 O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from
all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
19-7:3 O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be
iniquity in my hands;
19-7:6 Arise,
O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because
of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou
hast commanded.
19-7:8 The
LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according
to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
19-8:1 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the
heavens.
19-8:9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
19-9:1 I
will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy
marvellous works.
19-9:2 I
will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
19-9:6 O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual
end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.
19-9:13 Have
mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me,
thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:
19-9:19 Arise,
O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be
judged in thy sight.
19-9:20 Put
them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.
19-10:1 Why
standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?
19-10:12 Arise,
O LORD; O God,
lift up thine hand: forget not the humble.
19-12:7 Thou
shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve
them from this generation for ever.
19-13:1 How
long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how
long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
19-13:3 Consider
and hear me, O
LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
19-16:1 Preserve
me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
19-16:2 O my soul, thou
hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my
Lord: my goodness extendeth not to
thee;
19-17:1 Hear
the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear
unto my prayer, that goeth not out of
feigned lips.
19-17:6 I
have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O
God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my
speech.
19-17:7 Shew
thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that
savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against
them.
19-17:13 Arise,
O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver
my soul from the wicked, which is thy
sword:
19-17:14 From
men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this
life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
19-18:1 I
will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
19-18:15 Then
the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were
discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast
of the breath of thy nostrils.
19-18:49 Therefore
will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the
heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.
19-19:14 Let
the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy
sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
19-21:1 The
king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in
thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
19-22:2 O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not;
and in the night season, and am not silent.
19-22:3 But
thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises
of Israel.
19-22:19 But
be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.
19-24:6 This
is the generation of them that seek
him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
19-24:7 Lift
up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye
everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
19-24:9 Lift
up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the
King of glory shall come in.
19-25:1 Unto
thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
19-25:2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let
not mine enemies triumph over me.
19-25:4 Shew
me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
19-25:6 Remember,
O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy
lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever
of old.
19-25:7 Remember
not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy
remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O LORD.
19-25:11 For
thy name’s sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity;
for it is great.
19-25:17 The
troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.
19-25:20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed;
for I put my trust in thee.
19-25:22 Redeem
Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
19-26:1 Judge
me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity:
I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore
I shall not slide.
19-26:2 Examine
me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my
heart.
19-26:6 I
will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:
19-27:7 Hear,
O LORD, when
I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
19-27:9 Hide
not thy face far from me; put not thy
servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake
me, O God of my salvation.
19-27:11 Teach
me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path,
because of mine enemies.
19-28:1 Unto
thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent
to me: lest, if thou be silent to me,
I become like them that go down into the pit.
19-29:1 Give
unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD
glory and strength.
19-30:1 I
will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me
up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.
19-30:2 O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed
me.
19-30:3 O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou
hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
19-30:4 Sing
unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give
thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
19-30:8 I
cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made
supplication.
19-30:10 Hear,
O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my
helper.
19-30:12 To
the end that my glory may sing praise
to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I
will give thanks unto thee for ever.
19-31:1 In
thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be
ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.
19-31:5 Into
thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O
LORD God of truth.
19-31:9 Have
mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine
eye is consumed with grief, yea, my
soul and my belly.
19-31:14 But
I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.
19-31:17 Let
me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called
upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and
let them be silent in the grave.
19-31:23 O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful,
and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
19-33:1 Rejoice
in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.
19-33:22 Let
thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we
hope in thee.
19-34:3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name
together.
19-34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the
man that trusteth in him.
19-34:9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
19-35:1 Plead
my cause, O
LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.
19-35:22 This thou hast seen, O LORD: keep not silence: O
LORD, be not far from me.
19-35:24 Judge
me, O LORD my God, according to thy
righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.
19-36:5 Thy
mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy
faithfulness reacheth unto the
clouds.
19-36:6 Thy
righteousness is like the great
mountains; thy judgments are a great
deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
19-36:7 How
excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust
under the shadow of thy wings.
19-36:10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know
thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
19-38:1 O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me
in thy hot displeasure.
19-38:15 For
in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.
19-38:21 Forsake
me not, O LORD: O
my God, be not far from me.
19-38:22 Make
haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.
19-39:12 Hear
my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry;
hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a
stranger with thee, and a sojourner,
as all my fathers were.
19-39:13 O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go
hence, and be no more.
19-40:5 Many,
O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which
thou hast done, and thy thoughts which
are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be
numbered.
19-40:8 I
delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
19-40:9 I
have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained
my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.
19-40:11 Withhold
not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let
thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
19-40:13 Be
pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.
19-40:17 But
I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no
tarrying, O my God.
19-41:10 But
thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me
up, that I may requite them.
19-42:1 As
the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
19-42:5 Why
art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou
in God: for I shall yet praise him for the
help of his countenance.
19-42:6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore
will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the
hill Mizar.
19-42:11 Why
art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou
disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and
my God.
19-43:1 Judge
me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly
nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and
unjust man.
19-43:3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me;
let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
19-43:4 Then
will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp
will I praise thee, O God my God.
19-43:5 Why
art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou
disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and
my God.
19-44:1 We
have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers
have told us, what work thou didst in
their days, in the times of old.
19-44:4 Thou
art my King, O God: command deliverances for
Jacob.
19-44:23 Awake,
why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever.
19-45:3 Gird
thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty,
with thy glory and thy majesty.
19-45:6 Thy
throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
19-45:10 Hearken,
O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear;
forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house;
19-47:1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with
the voice of triumph.
19-48:9 We
have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in
the midst of thy temple.
19-48:10 According
to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of
righteousness.
19-50:7 Hear,
O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.
19-51:1 Have
mercy upon me, O God, according to thy
lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my
transgressions.
19-51:10 Create
in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right
spirit within me.
19-51:14 Deliver
me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my
salvation: and my tongue shall sing
aloud of thy righteousness.
19-51:15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew
forth thy praise.
19-51:17 The
sacrifices of God are a broken
spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God,
thou wilt not despise.
19-52:1 Why
boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man?
the goodness of God endureth continually.
19-52:4 Thou
lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.
19-54:1 Save
me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy
strength.
19-54:2 Hear
my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my
mouth.
19-54:6 I
will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it
is good.
19-55:1 Give
ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself
from my supplication.
19-55:9 Destroy,
O Lord, and
divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
19-55:23 But
thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit
of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days;
but I will trust in thee.
19-56:1 Be
merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow
me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.
19-56:2 Mine
enemies would daily swallow me up:
for they be many that fight against
me, O thou most High.
19-56:7 Shall
they escape by iniquity? in thine anger
cast down the people, O God.
19-56:12 Thy
vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.
19-57:1 Be
merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me:
for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my
refuge, until these calamities be
overpast.
19-57:5 Be
thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
19-57:7 My
heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will
sing and give praise.
19-57:9 I
will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I
will sing unto thee among the nations.
19-57:11 Be
thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.
19-58:1 Do
ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation?
do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
19-58:6 Break
their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the
great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.
19-59:1 Deliver
me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from
them that rise up against me.
19-59:3 For,
lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O
LORD.
19-59:5 Thou
therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of
Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked
transgressors. Selah.
19-59:8 But
thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt
have all the heathen in derision.
19-59:11 Slay
them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them
down, O Lord our shield.
19-59:17 Unto
thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.
19-60:1 O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us,
thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us
again.
19-60:10 Wilt not thou, O
God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O
God, which didst not go out with our
armies?
19-61:1 Hear
my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
19-61:5 For
thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given
me the heritage of those that fear
thy name.
19-61:7 He
shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy
and truth, which may preserve him.
19-62:12 Also
unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his
work.
19-63:1 O God, thou art my
God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for
thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
19-64:1 Hear
my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life
from fear of the enemy.
19-65:1 Praise
waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee
shall the vow be performed.
19-65:2 O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh
come.
19-65:5 By terrible things in righteousness wilt
thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends
of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon
the sea:
19-66:8 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his
praise to be heard:
19-66:10 For
thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us,
as silver is tried.
19-67:3 Let
the people praise thee, O God; let all the
people praise thee.
19-67:4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou
shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
19-67:5 Let
the people praise thee, O God; let all the
people praise thee.
19-68:7 O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when
thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:
19-68:9 Thou,
O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou
didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.
19-68:10 Thy
congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God,
hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.
19-68:24 They
have seen thy goings, O God; even the goings of my God, my King, in
the sanctuary.
19-68:28 Thy
God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O
God, that which thou hast wrought for us.
19-68:32 Sing
unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing
praises unto the Lord; Selah:
19-68:35 O God, thou art terrible
out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is
he that giveth strength and power unto his
people. Blessed be God.
19-69:1 Save
me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.
19-69:5 O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are
not hid from thee.
19-69:6 Let
not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts,
be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake,
O God of Israel.
19-69:13 But
as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an
acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy
mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
19-69:16 Hear
me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the
multitude of thy tender mercies.
19-69:29 But
I am poor and sorrowful: let thy
salvation, O God, set me up on high.
19-70:1 Make haste, O
God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O
LORD.
19-70:5 But
I am poor and needy: make haste unto
me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O
LORD, make no tarrying.
19-71:1 In
thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be
put to confusion.
19-71:4 Deliver
me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out
of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
19-71:5 For
thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou
art my trust from my youth.
19-71:12 O God, be not far from me: O
my God, make haste for my help.
19-71:17 O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto
have I declared thy wondrous works.
19-71:18 Now
also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake
me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy
power to every one that is to come.
19-71:19 Thy
righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O
God, who is like unto thee!
19-71:22 I
will also praise thee with the psaltery, even
thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing
with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.
19-72:1 Give
the king thy judgments, O God, and thy
righteousness unto the king’s son.
19-73:20 As
a dream when one awaketh; so, O
Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
19-74:1 O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth
thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?
19-74:10 O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall
the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?
19-74:18 Remember
this, that the enemy hath reproached,
O LORD, and that
the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.
19-74:19 O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the
multitude of the wicked: forget not the
congregation of thy poor for ever.
19-74:21 O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor
and needy praise thy name.
19-74:22 Arise,
O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the
foolish man reproacheth thee daily.
19-75:1 Unto
thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works
declare.
19-76:6 At
thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and
horse are cast into a dead sleep.
19-77:13 Thy
way, O God, is
in the sanctuary: who is so great
a God as our God?
19-77:16 The
waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee;
they were afraid: the depths also were troubled.
19-78:1 Give
ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.
19-79:1 O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance;
thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.
19-79:8 O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy
tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low.
19-79:9 Help
us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy
name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name’s sake.
19-79:12 And
render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith
they have reproached thee, O Lord.
19-80:1 Give
ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest
Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between
the cherubims, shine forth.
19-80:3 Turn
us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine;
and we shall be saved.
19-80:4 O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against
the prayer of thy people?
19-80:7 Turn
us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to
shine; and we shall be saved.
19-80:14 Return,
we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from
heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
19-80:19 Turn
us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to
shine; and we shall be saved.
19-81:8 Hear,
O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;
19-82:8 Arise,
O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit
all nations.
19-83:1 Keep
not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and
be not still, O God.
19-83:13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble
before the wind.
19-83:16 Fill
their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O
LORD.
19-84:1 How
amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!
19-84:3 Yea,
the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she
may lay her young, even thine altars,
O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.
19-84:8 O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
19-84:9 Behold,
O God our shield, and look upon the face of
thine anointed.
19-84:12 O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
19-85:4 Turn
us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine
anger toward us to cease.
19-85:7 Shew
us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy
salvation.
19-86:1 Bow
down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy.
19-86:2 Preserve
my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.
19-86:3 Be
merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee
daily.
19-86:4 Rejoice
the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord,
do I lift up my soul.
19-86:6 Give
ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the
voice of my supplications.
19-86:8 Among
the gods there is none like unto
thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.
19-86:9 All
nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.
19-86:11 Teach
me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth:
unite my heart to fear thy name.
19-86:12 I
will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my
heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.
19-86:14 O God, the proud are risen against me, and the
assemblies of violent men have sought
after my soul; and have not set thee before them.
19-86:15 But
thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and
plenteous in mercy and truth.
19-86:16 O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy
strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.
19-87:3 Glorious
things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.
19-88:1 O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee:
19-88:13 But
unto thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the
morning shall my prayer prevent thee.
19-89:5 And
the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD:
thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
19-89:8 O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about
thee?
19-89:15 Blessed
is the people that know the joyful
sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of
thy countenance.
19-89:51 Wherewith
thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith
they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
19-90:13 Return,
O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee
concerning thy servants.
19-90:14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice
and be glad all our days.
19-92:1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy
name, O most High:
19-92:5 O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.
19-92:9 For,
lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine
enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
19-93:3 The
floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have
lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.
19-93:5 Thy
testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever.
19-94:1 O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
19-94:5 They
break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict
thine heritage.
19-94:12 Blessed
is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;
19-94:18 When
I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD,
held me up.
19-95:1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a
joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
19-95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel
before the LORD our maker.
19-96:1 O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD,
all the earth.
19-96:7 Give
unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give
unto the LORD glory and strength.
19-96:9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear
before him, all the earth.
19-97:8 Zion
heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments,
O LORD.
19-98:1 O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done
marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the
victory.
19-99:8 Thou
answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God
that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.
19-101:1 I
will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O
LORD, will I sing.
19-101:2 I
will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O
when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
19-102:1 Hear
my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto
thee.
19-102:12 But
thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and thy
remembrance unto all generations.
19-102:24 I
said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of
my days: thy years are throughout all
generations.
19-103:1 Bless
the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
19-103:2 Bless
the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his
benefits:
19-103:22 Bless
the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.
19-104:1 Bless
the LORD, O my soul. O
LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
19-104:24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast
thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
19-104:35 Let
the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless
thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.
19-105:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make
known his deeds among the people.
19-105:6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob
his chosen.
19-106:1 Praise
ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
19-106:4 Remember
me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O
visit me with thy salvation;
19-106:47 Save
us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the
heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and
to triumph in thy praise.
19-107:1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth
for ever.
19-108:1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise,
even with my glory.
19-108:3 I
will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and
I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
19-108:5 Be
thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy
glory above all the earth;
19-108:11 Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O
God, go forth with our hosts?
19-109:1 Hold
not thy peace, O God of my praise;
19-109:21 But
do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name’s
sake: because thy mercy is good,
deliver thou me.
19-109:26 Help
me, O LORD my God: O
save me according to thy mercy:
19-113:1 Praise
ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD,
praise the name of the LORD.
19-114:5 What
ailed thee, O
thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that
thou wast driven back?
19-115:1 Not
unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name
give glory, for thy mercy, and for
thy truth’s sake.
19-115:9 O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.
19-115:10 O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.
19-116:4 Then
called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I
beseech thee, deliver my soul.
19-116:7 Return
unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath
dealt bountifully with thee.
19-116:16 O LORD, truly I am
thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast
loosed my bonds.
19-116:19 In
the courts of the Lord’s house, in the midst of thee, O
Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
19-117:1 O Praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye
people.
19-118:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth
for ever.
19-118:25 Save
now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
19-118:29 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth
for ever.
19-119:5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!
19-119:8 I
will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not
utterly.
19-119:10 With
my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not
wander from thy commandments.
19-119:12 Blessed
art thou, O
LORD: teach me thy statutes.
19-119:31 I
have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me
not to shame.
19-119:33 HE. Teach me, O
LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.
19-119:41 VAU. Let thy mercies come also unto me,
O LORD, even
thy salvation, according to thy word.
19-119:52 I
remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and
have comforted myself.
19-119:55 I
have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night,
and have kept thy law.
19-119:57 CHETH. Thou art my portion, O LORD: I have
said that I would keep thy words.
19-119:64 The
earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy: teach me
thy statutes.
19-119:65 TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy
servant, O LORD, according unto thy word.
19-119:75 I
know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.
19-119:89 LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
19-119:97 MEM. O
how love I thy law! it is my
meditation all the day.
19-119:107 I
am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD,
according unto thy word.
19-119:108 Accept,
I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O
LORD, and teach me thy judgments.
19-119:137 TZADDI. Righteous art thou, O LORD, and upright are thy judgments.
19-119:145 KOPH. I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O LORD: I
will keep thy statutes.
19-119:149 Hear
my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: O
LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment.
19-119:151 Thou
art near, O
LORD; and all thy commandments are truth.
19-119:156 Great
are thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments.
19-119:159 Consider
how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD,
according to thy lovingkindness.
19-119:169 TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.
19-119:174 I
have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy
law is my delight.
19-120:2 Deliver
my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
19-122:2 Our
feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
19-123:1 Unto
thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest
in the heavens.
19-123:3 Have
mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for
we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
19-125:4 Do
good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to
them that are upright in their hearts.
19-126:4 Turn
again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in
the south.
19-130:1 Out
of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.
19-130:3 If
thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord,
who shall stand?
19-132:8 Arise,
O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy
strength.
19-135:1 Praise
ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the LORD.
19-135:9 Who sent tokens and wonders into the
midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon
all his servants.
19-135:13 Thy
name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy
memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.
19-135:19 Bless
the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:
19-135:20 Bless
the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the
LORD, bless the LORD.
19-136:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth
for ever.
19-136:2 O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.
19-136:3 O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.
19-136:26 O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth for ever.
19-137:5 If
I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand
forget her cunning.
19-137:7 Remember,
O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of
Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.
19-137:8 O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou
hast served us.
19-138:4 All
the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O
LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.
19-138:8 The
LORD will perfect that which concerneth
me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
19-139:1 O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.
19-139:4 For
there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O
LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
19-139:17 How
precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God!
how great is the sum of them!
19-139:19 Surely
thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me
therefore, ye bloody men.
19-139:21 Do
not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am
not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
19-139:23 Search
me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know
my thoughts:
19-140:1 Deliver
me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from
the violent man;
19-140:4 Keep
me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked;
preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.
19-140:6 I
said unto the LORD, Thou art my God:
hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.
19-140:7 O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou
hast covered my head in the day of battle.
19-140:8 Grant
not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further
not his wicked device; lest they
exalt themselves. Selah.
19-141:3 Set
a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door
of my lips.
19-141:8 But
mine eyes are unto thee, O GOD the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul
destitute.
19-142:5 I
cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.
19-143:1 Hear
my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications:
in thy faithfulness answer me, and in
thy righteousness.
19-143:7 Hear
me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth: hide not
thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.
19-143:9 Deliver
me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee
to hide me.
19-143:11 Quicken
me, O LORD, for thy name’s sake: for thy
righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.
19-144:5 Bow
thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: touch the
mountains, and they shall smoke.
19-144:9 I
will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a
psaltery and an instrument of ten
strings will I sing praises unto thee.
19-145:1 I
will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will
bless thy name for ever and ever.
19-145:10 All
thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy
saints shall bless thee.
19-146:1 Praise
ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.
19-146:10 The
LORD shall reign for ever, even thy
God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the
LORD.
19-147:12 Praise
the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
20-4:10 Hear,
O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years
of thy life shall be many.
20-5:7 Hear
me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not
from the words of my mouth.
20-6:9 How
long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou
arise out of thy sleep?
20-7:24 Hearken
unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend
to the words of my mouth.
20-8:4 Unto
you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
20-8:5 O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye
of an understanding heart.
20-8:32 Now
therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for
blessed are they that keep my ways.
20-24:15 Lay
not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting
place:
20-30:13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are
lifted up.
20-31:4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not
for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:
21-10:16 Woe
to thee, O land, when thy king is a child, and thy princes eat in the
morning!
21-10:17 Blessed
art thou, O
land, when thy king is the son of
nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for
drunkenness!
21-11:9 Rejoice,
O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart
cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and
in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into
judgment.
22-1:5 I
am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as
the curtains of Solomon.
22-1:7 Tell
me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou
feedest, where thou makest thy flock to
rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of
thy companions?
22-1:8 If
thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go
thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the
shepherds’ tents.
22-1:9 I
have compared thee, O my love, to a company of
horses in Pharaoh’s chariots.
22-2:7 I
charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the
roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.
22-2:14 O my dove, that
art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy
voice; for sweet is thy voice, and
thy countenance is comely.
22-3:5 I
charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the
roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.
22-3:11 Go
forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king
Solomon with the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his
espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart.
22-4:11 Thy
lips, O my
spouse, drop as the honeycomb:
honey and milk are under thy tongue;
and the smell of thy garments is like
the smell of Lebanon.
22-4:16 Awake,
O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my
garden, that the spices thereof may
flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.
22-5:1 I
am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse:
I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my
honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O
friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O
beloved.
22-5:8 I
charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if ye find
my beloved, that ye tell him, that I am sick
of love.
22-5:9 What
is thy beloved more than another beloved, O thou fairest among women? what is thy beloved more than another
beloved, that thou dost so charge us?
22-5:16 His
mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O
daughters of Jerusalem.
22-6:1 Whither
is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women?
whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with thee.
22-6:4 Thou
art beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah, comely as Jerusalem, terrible as
an army with banners.
22-6:13 Return,
return, O Shulamite; return, return, that we may
look upon thee. What will ye see in the Shulamite? As it were the company of
two armies.
22-7:1 How
beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince’s
daughter! the joints of thy thighs are like
jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman.
22-7:6 How
fair and how pleasant art thou, O love, for
delights!
22-7:13 The
mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates are
all manner of pleasant fruits, new
and old, which I have laid up for
thee, O my beloved.
22-8:1 O that thou wert
as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! when I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, I should not
be despised.
22-8:4 I
charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that ye
stir not up, nor awake my love, until
he please.
22-8:12 My
vineyard, which is mine, is before me: thou, O Solomon, must
have a thousand, and those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred.
23-1:2 Hear,
O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up
children, and they have rebelled against me.
23-2:5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the
light of the LORD.
23-3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule
over them. O my people, they which lead thee
cause thee to err, and destroy the
way of thy paths.
23-5:3 And
now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of
Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.
23-7:13 And
he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary
men, but will ye weary my God also?
23-8:8 And
he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out
of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O
Immanuel.
23-8:9 Associate
yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken
in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall
be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.
23-10:5 O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in
their hand is mine indignation.
23-10:24 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people
that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with
a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
23-10:30 Lift
up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to
be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.
23-12:1 And
in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise
thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou
comfortedst me.
23-14:12 How
art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of
the morning! how art thou cut down to
the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
23-14:31 Howl,
O gate; cry, O
city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved:
for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.
23-16:9 Therefore
I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee
with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the
shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen.
23-21:2 A
grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth
treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O
Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof
have I made to cease.
23-21:10 O my threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which I
have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
23-21:13 The
burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim.
23-23:4 Be
thou ashamed, O Zidon: for the sea hath spoken, even the strength of the sea, saying, I
travail not, nor bring forth children, neither do I nourish up young men, nor bring up virgins.
23-23:10 Pass
through thy land as a river, O daughter of
Tarshish: there is no more strength.
23-23:12 And
he said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou
oppressed virgin, daughter of Zidon: arise, pass over to Chittim; there also
shalt thou have no rest.
23-24:17 Fear,
and the pit, and the snare, are upon
thee, O inhabitant of the earth.
23-25:1 O LORD, thou art
my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done
wonderful things; thy counsels of old
are faithfulness and truth.
23-26:8 Yea,
in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we
waited for thee; the desire of our soul
is to thy name, and to the
remembrance of thee.
23-26:13 O LORD our God, other
lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.
23-26:15 Thou
hast increased the nation, O LORD, thou hast
increased the nation: thou art glorified: thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth.
23-26:17 Like
as a woman with child, that draweth
near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and
crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O LORD.
23-27:12 And
it shall come to pass in that day, that the
LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and
ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children
of Israel.
23-33:2 O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee:
be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.
23-37:16 O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made
heaven and earth.
23-37:17 Incline
thine ear, O LORD, and hear; open thine eyes, O LORD, and see: and hear all the words of
Sennacherib, which hath sent to reproach the living God.
23-37:20 Now
therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his
hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD, even thou only.
23-38:3 And
said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how
I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And
Hezekiah wept sore.
23-38:14 Like
a crane or a swallow, so did I
chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am
oppressed; undertake for me.
23-38:16 O Lord, by these things
men live, and in all these things is the
life of my spirit: so wilt thou recover me, and make me to live.
23-40:9 O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into
the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest
good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your
God!
23-40:27 Why
sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment
is passed over from my God?
23-41:1 Keep
silence before me, O islands; and let the people
renew their strength: let them come
near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment.
23-43:1 But
now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O
Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not:
for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee
by thy name; thou art mine.
23-43:22 But
thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou
hast been weary of me, O Israel.
23-44:1 Yet
now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I
have chosen:
23-44:2 Thus
saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have
chosen.
23-44:21 Remember
these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou
art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me.
23-44:23 Sing,
O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth:
break forth into singing, ye mountains, O
forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified
himself in Israel.
23-45:15 Verily
thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.
23-46:3 Hearken
unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant
of the house of Israel, which are borne by
me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:
23-46:8 Remember
this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again
to mind, O ye transgressors.
23-47:1 Come
down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of
Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no
throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou
shalt no more be called tender and delicate.
23-47:5 Sit
thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O
daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of
kingdoms.
23-48:1 Hear
ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by
the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear
by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.
23-48:12 Hearken
unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the
last.
23-48:18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then
had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:
23-49:1 Listen,
O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from
far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath
he made mention of my name.
23-49:3 And
said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.
23-49:13 Sing,
O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people,
and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
23-51:4 Hearken
unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my
nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest
for a light of the people.
23-51:9 Awake,
awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD;
awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?
23-51:17 Awake,
awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk
at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast drunken the dregs of the
cup of trembling, and wrung them out.
23-52:1 Awake,
awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy
beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city:
for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the
unclean.
23-52:2 Shake
thyself from the dust; arise, and sit
down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands
of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
23-54:1 Sing,
O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for
more are the children of the desolate
than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.
23-54:11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay
thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
23-62:6 I
have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day
nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence.
23-63:16 Doubtless
thou art our father, though Abraham
be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father,
our redeemer; thy name is from
everlasting.
23-63:17 O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear?
Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.
23-64:4 For
since the beginning of the world men have
not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.
23-64:8 But
now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the
clay, and thou our potter; and we all are
the work of thy hand.
23-64:9 Be
not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember
iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.
23-64:12 Wilt
thou refrain thyself for these things, O LORD? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very
sore?
24-2:4 Hear
ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and
all the families of the house of Israel:
24-2:12 Be
astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be
horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD.
24-2:28 But
where are thy gods that thou hast
made thee? let them arise, if they can save thee in the time of thy trouble:
for according to the number of thy
cities are thy gods, O Judah.
24-2:31 O generation, see ye the word of the LORD. Have I been
a wilderness unto Israel? a land of darkness? wherefore say my people, We are
lords; we will come no more unto thee?
24-3:14 Turn,
O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am
married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I
will bring you to Zion:
24-3:20 Surely
as a wife treacherously departeth
from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD.
24-4:1 If
thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD,
return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight,
then shalt thou not remove.
24-4:14 O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that
thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?
24-4:19 My
bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me;
I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O
my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.
24-5:3 O LORD, are not
thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved;
thou hast consumed them, but they
have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a
rock; they have refused to return.
24-5:15 Lo,
I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house
of Israel, saith the LORD: it is a
mighty nation, it is an ancient
nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what
they say.
24-5:21 Hear
now this, O foolish people, and without
understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:
24-6:1 O ye children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee
out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign
of fire in Bethhaccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great
destruction.
24-6:8 Be
thou instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul
depart from thee; lest I make thee desolate, a land not inhabited.
24-6:18 Therefore
hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what
is among them.
24-6:19 Hear,
O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this
people, even the fruit of their
thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but
rejected it.
24-6:23 They
shall lay hold on bow and spear; they are
cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the sea; and they ride
upon horses, set in array as men for war against thee, O
daughter of Zion.
24-6:26 O daughter of my people, gird thee with sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make thee
mourning, as for an only son, most
bitter lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us.
24-7:29 Cut
off thine hair, O
Jerusalem, and cast it away, and
take up a lamentation on high places; for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken
the generation of his wrath.
24-9:20 Yet
hear the word of the LORD, O ye women, and let
your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and
every one her neighbour lamentation.
24-10:1 Hear
ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O
house of Israel:
24-10:6 Forasmuch
as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art
great, and thy name is great in
might.
24-10:7 Who
would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to
thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.
24-10:17 Gather
up thy wares out of the land, O inhabitant of
the fortress.
24-10:23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
24-10:24 O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine
anger, lest thou bring me to nothing.
24-11:5 That
I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land
flowing with milk and honey, as it is this
day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O
LORD.
24-11:13 For
according to the number of thy cities
were thy gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up
altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal.
24-11:20 But,
O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that
triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee
have I revealed my cause.
24-12:1 Righteous
art thou, O
LORD, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are all they happy that deal
very treacherously?
24-12:3 But
thou, O LORD, knowest me: thou hast seen me, and
tried mine heart toward thee: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and
prepare them for the day of slaughter.
24-13:27 I
have seen thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in
the fields. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! wilt
thou not be made clean? when shall it once
be?
24-14:7 O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do
thou it for thy name’s sake: for our
backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee.
24-14:8 O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of
trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring
man that turneth aside to tarry for a
night?
24-14:9 Why
shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O LORD, art in the midst of us, and we are
called by thy name; leave us not.
24-14:20 We
acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we
have sinned against thee.
24-14:22 Are
there any among the vanities of the
Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast
made all these things.
24-15:5 For
who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or
who shall bemoan thee? or who shall go aside to ask how thou doest?
24-15:15 O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and
revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that
for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.
24-15:16 Thy
words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and
rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O
LORD God of hosts.
24-16:19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in
the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the
earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.
24-17:3 O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures to the spoil, and thy high places for sin, throughout
all thy borders.
24-17:13 O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee
shall be ashamed, and they that depart
from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the
fountain of living waters.
24-17:14 Heal
me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and
I shall be saved: for thou art my
praise.
24-18:6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this
potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is
in the potter’s hand, so are ye
in mine hand, O house of Israel.
24-18:19 Give
heed to me, O LORD, and hearken to the voice of
them that contend with me.
24-19:3 And
say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of
Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of
Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth,
his ears shall tingle.
24-20:7 O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived:
thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one
mocketh me.
24-20:12 But,
O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart, let
me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause.
24-21:12 O house of David, thus saith the LORD; Execute
judgment in the morning, and deliver him
that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like
fire, and burn that none can quench it, because
of the evil of your doings.
24-21:13 Behold,
I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain, saith the LORD; which say, Who shall come
down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?
24-22:2 And
say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah,
that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people
that enter in by these gates:
24-22:23 O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the
cedars, how gracious shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman
in travail!
24-22:29 O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.
24-30:10 Therefore
fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the
LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will
save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob
shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.
24-31:4 Again
I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O
virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go
forth in the dances of them that make merry.
24-31:7 For
thus saith the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of
the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O
LORD, save thy people, the remnant of Israel.
24-31:10 Hear
the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He
that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.
24-31:21 Set
thee up waymarks, make thee high heaps: set thine heart toward the highway, even the way which thou wentest: turn again, O
virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities.
24-31:22 How
long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding
daughter? for the LORD hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall
compass a man.
24-31:23 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech
in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their
captivity; The LORD bless thee, O habitation of
justice, and mountain of holiness.
24-32:25 And
thou hast said unto me, O Lord GOD, Buy thee the
field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the
Chaldeans.
24-34:4 Yet
hear the word of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah;
Thus saith the LORD of thee, Thou shalt not die by the sword:
24-37:20 Therefore
hear now, I pray thee, O my lord the king: let
my supplication, I pray thee, be accepted before thee; that thou cause me not
to return to the house of Jonathan the scribe, lest I die there.
24-42:19 The
LORD hath said concerning you, O ye remnant of
Judah; Go ye not into Egypt: know certainly that I have admonished you this
day.
24-45:2 Thus
saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto thee, O
Baruch;
24-46:11 Go
up into Gilead, and take balm, O virgin, the
daughter of Egypt: in vain shalt thou use many medicines; for thou shalt not be cured.
24-46:19 O thou daughter dwelling in Egypt, furnish thyself to
go into captivity: for Noph shall be waste and desolate without an inhabitant.
24-46:27 But
fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not
dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save
thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob
shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.
24-46:28 Fear
thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD:
for I am with thee; for I will make a
full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a
full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly
unpunished.
24-47:6 O thou sword of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up
thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still.
24-48:2 There shall be no more praise of Moab:
in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou shalt be cut
down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.
24-48:19 O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and espy; ask
him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, and
say, What is done?
24-48:28 O ye that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell
in the rock, and be like the dove that maketh
her nest in the sides of the hole’s mouth.
24-48:32 O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with the
weeping of Jazer: thy plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler is
fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage.
24-48:43 Fear,
and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon
thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith the LORD.
24-48:46 Woe
be unto thee, O Moab! the people of Chemosh
perisheth: for thy sons are taken captives, and thy daughters captives.
24-49:3 Howl,
O Heshbon, for Ai is spoiled: cry, ye daughters
of Rabbah, gird you with sackcloth; lament, and run to and fro by the hedges;
for their king shall go into captivity, and
his priests and his princes together.
24-49:4 Wherefore
gloriest thou in the valleys, thy flowing valley, O
backsliding daughter? that trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come unto me?
24-49:8 Flee
ye, turn back, dwell deep, O inhabitants of Dedan;
for I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I will visit him.
24-49:16 Thy
terribleness hath deceived thee, and the
pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in
the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou
shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from
thence, saith the LORD.
24-49:30 Flee,
get you far off, dwell deep, O ye inhabitants of
Hazor, saith the LORD; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath taken counsel
against you, and hath conceived a purpose against you.
24-50:11 Because
ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O ye
destroyers of mine heritage, because ye are grown fat as the heifer at grass,
and bellow as bulls;
24-50:24 I
have laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O
Babylon, and thou wast not aware: thou art found, and also caught, because thou
hast striven against the LORD.
24-50:31 Behold,
I am against thee, O thou most
proud, saith the Lord GOD of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee.
24-50:42 They
shall hold the bow and the lance: they are
cruel, and will not shew mercy: their voice shall roar like the sea, and
they shall ride upon horses, every one put
in array, like a man to the battle, against thee, O
daughter of Babylon.
24-51:13 O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in
treasures, thine end is come, and the
measure of thy covetousness.
24-51:25 Behold,
I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest
all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down
from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain.
24-51:62 Then
shalt thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against
this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast,
but that it shall be desolate for ever.
25-1:9 Her
filthiness is in her skirts; she
remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no
comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the
enemy hath magnified himself.
25-1:11 All
her people sigh, they seek bread; they have given their pleasant things for
meat to relieve the soul: see, O LORD, and
consider; for I am become vile.
25-1:20 Behold,
O LORD; for I am in distress: my bowels are troubled; mine heart is turned within
me; for I have grievously rebelled: abroad the sword bereaveth, at home there is as death.
25-2:13 What
thing shall I take to witness for thee? what thing shall I liken to thee, O daughter of Jerusalem? what shall I equal to thee,
that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of
Zion? for thy breach is great like
the sea: who can heal thee?
25-2:18 Their
heart cried unto the Lord, O wall of the
daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give thyself
no rest; let not the apple of thine eye cease.
25-2:20 Behold,
O LORD, and consider to whom thou hast done
this. Shall the women eat their fruit, and
children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the
sanctuary of the Lord?
25-3:55 I
called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low
dungeon.
25-3:58 O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou
hast redeemed my life.
25-3:59 O LORD, thou hast seen my wrong: judge thou my cause.
25-3:61 Thou
hast heard their reproach, O LORD, and all their imaginations against me;
25-3:64 Render
unto them a recompence, O LORD, according to the
work of their hands.
25-4:21 Rejoice
and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest
in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto thee: thou shalt be
drunken, and shalt make thyself naked.
25-4:22 The
punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished, O
daughter of Zion; he will no more carry thee away into captivity: he will visit
thine iniquity, O daughter of Edom; he will
discover thy sins.
25-5:1 Remember,
O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and
behold our reproach.
25-5:19 Thou,
O LORD, remainest for ever; thy throne from
generation to generation.
25-5:21 Turn
thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned;
renew our days as of old.
26-3:25 But
thou, O son of man, behold, they shall put bands
upon thee, and shall bind thee with them, and thou shalt not go out among them:
26-7:7 The
morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest
in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.
26-8:15 Then
said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations
than these.
26-8:17 Then
he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of
Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have
filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and,
lo, they put the branch to their nose.
26-10:13 As
for the wheels, it was cried unto them in my hearing, O
wheel.
26-11:4 Therefore
prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man.
26-11:5 And
the Spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and said unto me, Speak; Thus saith the LORD;
Thus have ye said, O house of Israel: for I know
the things that come into your mind, every
one of them.
26-12:25 For
I am the LORD: I will speak, and the
word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for
in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the
word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD.
26-13:4 O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the
deserts.
26-13:11 Say
unto them which daub it with
untempered morter, that it shall
fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O
great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.
26-16:35 Wherefore,
O harlot, hear the word of the LORD:
26-18:25 Yet
ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O
house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?
26-18:29 Yet
saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your
ways unequal?
26-18:30 Therefore
I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one
according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions;
so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
26-18:31 Cast
away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make
you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O
house of Israel?
26-20:31 For
when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye
pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be
enquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will
not be enquired of by you.
26-20:39 As
for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord
GOD; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name
no more with your gifts, and with your idols.
26-20:44 And
ye shall know that I am the LORD,
when I have wrought with you for my name’s sake, not according to your wicked
ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye
house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
26-23:22 Therefore,
O Aholibah, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I
will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy mind is alienated, and I
will bring them against thee on every side;
26-26:3 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against
thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to
come up against thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up.
26-27:3 And
say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the
entry of the sea, which art a
merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty.
26-27:8 The
inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were thy mariners: thy wise men, O Tyrus, that were in thee, were thy pilots.
26-28:16 By
the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with
violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of
the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O
covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
26-28:22 And
say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am
against thee, O Zidon; and I will be
glorified in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall
be sanctified in her.
26-33:7 So
thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman
unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and
warn them from me.
26-33:8 When
I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost
not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine
hand.
26-33:10 Therefore,
O thou son of man, speak unto the house of
Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them,
how should we then live?
26-33:11 Say
unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD,
I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from
his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
26-33:20 Yet
ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye
house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.
26-34:9 Therefore,
O ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
26-34:17 And
as for you, O
my flock, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle,
between the rams and the he goats.
26-35:3 And
say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O
mount Seir, I am against thee, and I
will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.
26-35:15 As
thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate,
so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O
mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all
of it: and they shall know that I am the
LORD.
26-36:8 But
ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth
your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at
hand to come.
26-36:22 Therefore
say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake,
which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
26-36:32 Not
for your sakes do I this, saith the
Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.
26-37:3 And
he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.
26-37:4 Again
he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.
26-37:9 Then
said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the
wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may
live.
26-37:12 Therefore
prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to
come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
26-37:13 And
ye shall know that I am the LORD,
when I have opened your graves, O my people, and
brought you up out of your graves,
26-38:3 And
say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am
against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of
Meshech and Tubal:
26-38:16 And
thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land;
it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the
heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
26-39:1 Therefore,
thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
26-44:6 And
thou shalt say to the rebellious, even to
the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O
ye house of Israel, let it suffice you of all your abominations,
26-45:9 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; Let it suffice you, O
princes of Israel: remove violence and spoil, and execute judgment and justice,
take away your exactions from my people, saith the Lord GOD.
27-2:4 Then
spake the Chaldeans to the king in Syriack, O
king, live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and we will shew the
interpretation.
27-2:23 I
thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers,
who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we
desired of thee: for thou hast now made
known unto us the king’s matter.
27-2:29 As
for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should
come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what
shall come to pass.
27-2:31 Thou,
O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This
great image, whose brightness was excellent,
stood before thee; and the form thereof was
terrible.
27-2:37 Thou,
O king, art
a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power,
and strength, and glory.
27-3:4 Then
an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O
people, nations, and languages,
27-3:9 They
spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O
king, live for ever.
27-3:10 Thou,
O king, hast made a decree, that every man that
shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and
dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden
image:
27-3:12 There
are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of
Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O
king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden
image which thou hast set up.
27-3:14 Nebuchadnezzar
spake and said unto them, Is it true,
O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye
serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
27-3:16 Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O
Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to
answer thee in this matter.
27-3:17 If
it be so, our God whom we serve is
able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
27-3:18 But
if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will
not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
27-3:24 Then
Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his
counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They
answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
27-4:9 O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I
know that the spirit of the holy gods is in
thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have
seen, and the interpretation thereof.
27-4:18 This
dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O
Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make
known unto me the interpretation: but thou art
able; for the spirit of the holy gods is
in thee.
27-4:22 It
is thou, O
king, that art grown and become strong: for thy greatness is grown, and
reacheth unto heaven, and thy dominion to the end of the earth.
27-4:24 This
is the interpretation, O king, and this is
the decree of the most High, which is come upon my lord the king:
27-4:27 Wherefore,
O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee,
and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy
to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity.
27-4:31 While
the word was in the king’s mouth,
there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The
kingdom is departed from thee.
27-5:10 Now the queen by reason of the words of the
king and his lords came into the banquet house: and the queen spake and said, O
king, live for ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance
be changed:
27-5:18 O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy
father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:
27-5:22 And
thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled
thine heart, though thou knewest all this;
27-6:7 All
the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors,
and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to
make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for
thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be
cast into the den of lions.
27-6:8 Now,
O king, establish the decree, and sign the
writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and
Persians, which altereth not.
27-6:12 Then
they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king’s decree; Hast
thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king
answered and said, The thing is true,
according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
27-6:13 Then
answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but
maketh his petition three times a day.
27-6:15 Then
these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the
king establisheth may be changed.
27-6:20 And
when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom
thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?
27-6:21 Then
said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for
ever.
27-6:22 My
God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not
hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before
thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
27-8:17 So
he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my
face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of
man: for at the time of the end shall be the
vision.
27-9:4 And
I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the
covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his
commandments;
27-9:7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this
day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all
Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the
countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they
have trespassed against thee.
27-9:8 O Lord, to us belongeth
confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because
we have sinned against thee.
27-9:15 And
now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy
people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee
renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
27-9:16 O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech
thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy
holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers,
Jerusalem and thy people are become a
reproach to all that are about us.
27-9:17 Now
therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy
servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary
that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.
27-9:18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine
eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for
we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but
for thy great mercies.
27-9:19 O Lord, hear; O Lord,
forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for
thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy
people are called by thy name.
27-9:22 And
he informed me, and talked with me,
and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give
thee skill and understanding.
27-10:11 And
he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved,
understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee
am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
27-10:16 And,
behold, one like the similitude of the
sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto
him that stood before me, O my lord, by the
vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.
27-10:19 And
said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong.
And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord
speak; for thou hast strengthened me.
27-12:4 But
thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the
book, even to the time of the end:
many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
27-12:8 And
I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my
Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
28-5:1 Hear
ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of
Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king;
for judgment is toward you, because
ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
28-5:3 I
know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O
Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel
is defiled.
28-5:8 Blow
ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the
trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Bethaven,
after thee, O Benjamin.
28-6:4 O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early
dew it goeth away.
28-6:11 Also,
O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I
returned the captivity of my people.
28-8:5 Thy
calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?
28-9:1 Rejoice
not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast
loved a reward upon every cornfloor.
28-9:14 Give
them, O LORD: what wilt thou give? give them a
miscarrying womb and dry breasts.
28-10:9 O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of Gibeah:
there they stood: the battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not
overtake them.
28-13:9 O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help.
28-13:14 I
will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall
be hid from mine eyes.
28-14:1 O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast
fallen by thine iniquity.
29-1:11 Be
ye ashamed, O ye husbandmen; howl, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley;
because the harvest of the field is perished.
29-1:19 O LORD, to thee will I cry: for the fire hath devoured
the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the
field.
29-2:17 Let
the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar,
and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and
give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them:
wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?
29-2:21 Fear
not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD
will do great things.
29-3:4 Yea,
and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and
Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if
ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily
will I return your recompence upon your own head;
29-3:11 Assemble
yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about:
thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O
LORD.
30-2:11 And
I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith the LORD.
30-3:1 Hear
this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O
children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land
of Egypt, saying,
30-4:5 And
offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for this
liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the
Lord GOD.
30-4:12 Therefore
thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee,
prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
30-5:1 Hear
ye this word which I take up against you, even
a lamentation, O house of Israel.
30-5:25 Have
ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?
30-6:14 But,
behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O
house of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you
from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness.
30-7:2 And
it came to pass, that when they had
made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord GOD, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall
Jacob arise? for he is small.
30-7:5 Then
said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee: by
whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
30-7:12 Also
Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee
thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:
30-8:4 Hear
this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to
make the poor of the land to fail,
30-8:14 They
that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O
Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and
never rise up again.
30-9:7 Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians
unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD.
Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from
Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?
31-1:9 And
thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one
of the mount of Esau may be cut off by slaughter.
32-1:6 So
the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God
will think upon us, that we perish not.
32-1:14 Wherefore
they cried unto the LORD, and said, We beseech thee, O
LORD, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man’s life, and lay not upon
us innocent blood: for thou, O LORD, hast done
as it pleased thee.
32-2:6 I
went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou
brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my
God.
32-4:2 And
he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O
LORD, was not this my saying, when I was
yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow
to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.
32-4:3 Therefore
now, O LORD, take, I beseech thee, my life from
me; for it is better for me to die
than to live.
33-1:2 Hear,
all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that
therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the Lord from his holy
temple.
33-1:13 O thou inhabitant of Lachish, bind the chariot to the
swift beast: she is the beginning of
the sin to the daughter of Zion: for the transgressions of Israel were found in
thee.
33-1:15 Yet
will I bring an heir unto thee, O inhabitant of
Mareshah: he shall come unto Adullam the glory of Israel.
33-2:7 O thou that art named
the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh
uprightly?
33-2:12 I
will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I
will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep
of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise
by reason of the multitude of men.
33-3:1 And
I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and
ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not
for you to know judgment?
33-4:8 And
thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of
the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the
kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.
33-4:10 Be
in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter
of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city,
and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the LORD
shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.
33-4:13 Arise
and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make
thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces
many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their
substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.
33-5:1 Now
gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops:
he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod
upon the cheek.
33-6:2 Hear
ye, O mountains, the LORD’S controversy, and ye
strong foundations of the earth: for the LORD hath a controversy with his
people, and he will plead with Israel.
33-6:3 O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherein
have I wearied thee? testify against me.
33-6:5 O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted,
and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye
may know the righteousness of the LORD.
33-6:8 He
hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of
thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
33-7:8 Rejoice
not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I
shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.
34-1:15 Behold
upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth
peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform
thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut
off.
34-3:18 Thy
shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles
shall dwell in the dust: thy people
is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth them.
35-1:2 O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
35-1:12 Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for
correction.
35-3:2 O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy
work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath
remember mercy.
36-2:1 Gather
yourselves together, yea, gather together, O
nation not desired;
36-2:5 Woe
unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word
of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even
destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.
36-3:14 Sing,
O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.
37-1:4 Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?
37-2:4 Yet
now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and
be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high
priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for
I am with you, saith the LORD of
hosts:
37-2:23 In
that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O
Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make
thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.
38-1:9 Then
said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will
shew thee what these be.
38-1:12 Then
the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD
of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of
Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?
38-2:7 Deliver
thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.
38-2:10 Sing
and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I
come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.
38-2:13 Be
silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is
raised up out of his holy habitation.
38-3:2 And
the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O
Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the
fire?
38-3:8 Hear
now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy
fellows that sit before thee: for they are
men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
38-4:7 Who
art thou, O
great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou
shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
38-8:13 And
it shall come to pass, that as ye
were a curse among the heathen, O house of
Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing:
fear not, but let your hands be
strong.
38-9:9 Rejoice
greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto
thee: he is just, and having
salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
38-9:13 When
I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O
Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.
38-11:1 Open
thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour
thy cedars.
38-11:2 Howl,
fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is
come down.
38-11:7 And
I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you,
O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two
staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the
flock.
38-13:7 Awake,
O sword, against my shepherd, and against the
man that is my fellow, saith the LORD
of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn
mine hand upon the little ones.
39-1:6 A
son honoureth his father, and a
servant his master: if then I be a
father, where is mine honour? and if
I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto
you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye
say, Wherein have we despised thy name?
39-2:1 And
now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.
40-3:7 But
when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said
unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath
warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
40-6:30 Wherefore,
if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast
into the oven, shall he not much more
clothe you, O
ye of little faith?
40-8:26 And
he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little
faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great
calm.
40-11:25 At
that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O
Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the
wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
40-12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak
good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
40-14:31 And
immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand,
and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of
little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
40-15:22 And,
behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him,
saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is
grievously vexed with a devil.
40-15:28 Then
Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great
is thy faith: be it unto thee even as
thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
40-16:3 And
in the morning, It will be foul
weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O
ye hypocrites, ye can discern the
face of the sky; but can ye not discern the
signs of the times?
40-16:8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto
them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among
yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
40-17:17 Then
Jesus answered and said, O faithless and
perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you?
bring him hither to me.
40-18:32 Then
his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O
thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
40-20:30 And,
behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus
passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O
Lord, thou son of David.
40-20:31 And
the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they
cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O
Lord, thou son of David.
40-23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent
unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen
gathereth her chickens under her wings,
and ye would not!
40-26:39 And
he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from
me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
40-26:42 He
went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O
my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will
be done.
41-9:19 He
answereth him, and saith, O faithless
generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring
him unto me.
41-12:29 And
Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God
is one Lord:
42-3:7 Then
said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee
from the wrath to come?
42-5:8 When
Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at
Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
42-9:41 And
Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse
generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.
42-10:21 In
that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid
these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even
so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
42-12:28 If
then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is
cast into the oven; how much more will he
clothe you, O ye of little faith?
42-13:34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets,
and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy
children together, as a hen doth gather her
brood under her wings, and ye would
not!
42-24:25 Then
he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to
believe all that the prophets have spoken:
43-17:5 And
now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own
self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
43-17:25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but
I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
44-1:1 The
former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of
all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
44-7:42 Then
God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in
the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel,
have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?
44-13:10 And
said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt
thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
44-18:14 And
when Paul was now about to open his mouth,
Gallio said unto the Jews, If it were a matter of wrong or wicked lewdness, O ye Jews,
reason would that I should bear with you:
44-25:26 Of
whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him
forth before you, and specially before thee, O
king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.
44-26:13 At
midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from
heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which
journeyed with me.
44-26:19 Whereupon,
O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the
heavenly vision:
45-2:1 Therefore
thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art
that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for
thou that judgest doest the same things.
45-2:3 And
thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them
which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment
of God?
45-7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the
body of this death?
45-9:20 Nay
but, O man, who art thou that repliest against
God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
45-11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and
knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his
judgments, and his ways past finding out!
46-7:16 For
what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt
save thy husband? or how knowest
thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?
46-15:55 O death, where is
thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
47-6:11 O ye Corinthians,
our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.
48-3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye
should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently
set forth, crucified among you?
54-6:11 But
thou, O man of God, flee these things; and
follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
54-6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding
profane and vain babblings, and
oppositions of science falsely so called:
58-1:8 But
unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for
ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is
the sceptre of thy kingdom.
58-10:7 Then
said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy
will, O God.
58-10:9 Then
said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He
taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
59-2:20 But
wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without
works is dead?
66-4:11 Thou
art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour
and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and
were created.
66-6:10 And
they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O
Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that
dwell on the earth?
66-11:17 Saying,
We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which
art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great
power, and hast reigned.
66-15:4 Who
shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy
name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and
worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
66-16:5 And
I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because
thou hast judged thus.
