O,208 over
01-1:18 And
to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God
saw that it was good.
01-1:26 And
God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have
dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over
the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the
earth.
01-1:28 And
God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and
replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over
the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the
air, and over every living thing that moveth
upon the earth.
01-3:16 Unto
the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in
sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over
thee.
01-4:7 If
thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin
lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be
his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
01-8:1 And
God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a
wind to pass over the earth, and the waters
asswaged;
01-9:14 And
it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over
the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
01-21:16 And
she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a
bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him,
and lift up her voice, and wept.
01-24:2 And
Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under
my thigh:
01-25:25 And
the first came out red, all over like an hairy
garment; and they called his name Esau.
01-27:29 Let
people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother’s sons bow down
to thee: cursed be every one that
curseth thee, and blessed be he that
blesseth thee.
01-31:21 So
he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the river, and set his face toward the mount Gilead.
01-31:52 This
heap be witness, and this pillar be witness, that I will not pass over
this heap to thee, and that thou shalt not pass over
this heap and this pillar unto me, for harm.
01-32:10 I
am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou
hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.
01-32:16 And
he delivered them into the hand of
his servants, every drove by themselves; and said unto his servants, Pass over before me, and put a space betwixt drove and
drove.
01-32:21 So
went the present over before him: and himself
lodged that night in the company.
01-32:22 And
he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two womenservants, and his
eleven sons, and passed over the ford Jabbok.
01-32:23 And
he took them, and sent them over the brook, and
sent over that he had.
01-32:31 And
as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him,
and he halted upon his thigh.
01-33:3 And
he passed over before them, and bowed himself to
the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.
01-33:14 Let
my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his
servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before
me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.
01-36:31 And
these are the kings that reigned in
the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over
the children of Israel.
01-37:8 And
his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over
us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us?
And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.
01-39:4 And
Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.
01-39:5 And
it came to pass from the time that he
had made him overseer in his house, and over all
that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and
the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the
field.
01-41:33 Now
therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.
01-41:34 Let
Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint
officers over the land, and take up the fifth
part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.
01-41:40 Thou
shalt be over my house, and according unto thy
word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than
thou.
01-41:41 And
Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over
all the land of Egypt.
01-41:43 And
he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before
him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.
01-41:45 And
Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath
the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the
land of Egypt.
01-41:56 And
the famine was over all the face of the earth:
And Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the
famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt.
01-42:6 And
Joseph was the governor over the land, and
he it was that sold to all the
people of the land: and Joseph’s brethren came, and bowed down themselves
before him with their faces to the
earth.
01-45:26 And
told him, saying, Joseph is yet
alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob’s heart fainted,
for he believed them not.
01-47:6 The
land of Egypt is before thee; in the
best of the land make thy father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen
let them dwell: and if thou knowest any men
of activity among them, then make them rulers over
my cattle.
01-47:20 And
Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every
man his field, because the famine prevailed over
them: so the land became Pharaoh’s.
01-47:26 And
Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto
this day, that Pharaoh should have
the fifth part; except the land of
the priests only, which became not
Pharaoh’s.
01-49:22 Joseph
is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:
02-1:8 Now
there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew
not Joseph.
02-1:11 Therefore
they did set over them taskmasters to afflict
them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and
Raamses.
02-2:14 And
he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over
us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared,
and said, Surely this thing is known.
02-5:14 And
the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making
brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?
02-8:5 And
the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thine hand with thy
rod over the streams, over
the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs
to come up upon the land of Egypt.
02-8:6 And
Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of
Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.
02-8:9 And
Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when
shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy
the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they
may remain in the river only?
02-10:12 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over
the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of
Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even
all that the hail hath left.
02-10:13 And
Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of
Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.
02-10:14 And
the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt,
and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither
after them shall be such.
02-10:21 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may
be darkness over the land of Egypt, even
darkness which may be felt.
02-12:13 And
the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will
pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon
you to destroy you, when I smite the
land of Egypt.
02-12:23 For
the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood
upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to
come in unto your houses to smite you.
02-12:27 That
ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of
the LORD’S passover, who passed over the houses
of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered
our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
02-14:2 Speak
unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before Pihahiroth,
between Migdol and the sea, over against
Baalzephon: before it shall ye encamp by the sea.
02-14:7 And
he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and
captains over every one of them.
02-14:16 But
lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over
the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
02-14:21 And
Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and
the LORD caused the sea to go back by
a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
02-14:26 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over
the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their
chariots, and upon their horsemen.
02-14:27 And
Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and
the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians
fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
02-15:16 Fear
and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people
pass over, O LORD, till the people pass over, which thou
hast purchased.
02-16:18 And
when they did mete it with an omer,
he that gathered much had nothing over, and he
that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his
eating.
02-16:23 And
he said unto them, This is that which
the LORD hath said, To morrow is the
rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to
day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
02-18:21 Moreover
thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of
truth, hating covetousness; and place such
over them, to be rulers of thousands, and
rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:
02-18:25 And
Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of
hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.
02-25:27 Over against the border shall the rings be for places
of the staves to bear the table.
02-25:37 And
thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light the lamps
thereof, that they may give light over against
it.
02-26:12 And
the remnant that remaineth of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that
remaineth, shall hang over the backside of the
tabernacle.
02-26:13 And
a cubit on the one side, and a cubit on the other side of that which remaineth
in the length of the curtains of the tent, it shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle on this side and on
that side, to cover it.
02-26:35 And
thou shalt set the table without the vail, and the candlestick over against the table on the side of the tabernacle
toward the south: and thou shalt put the table on the north side.
02-28:27 And
two other rings of gold thou shalt
make, and shalt put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the
forepart thereof, over against the other coupling thereof, above the
curious girdle of the ephod.
02-30:6 And
thou shalt put it before the vail that is
by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy seat that is over
the testimony, where I will meet with thee.
02-36:14 And
he made curtains of goats’ hair for the tent over the tabernacle: eleven curtains he made them.
02-37:9 And
the cherubims spread out their wings
on high, and covered with their wings
over the mercy seat, with their faces one to
another; even to the mercy seatward
were the faces of the cherubims.
02-37:14 Over against the border were the rings, the places for
the staves to bear the table.
02-39:20 And
they made two other golden rings, and
put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart of it, over against the other
coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.
02-40:19 And
he spread abroad the tent over the tabernacle,
and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as the LORD commanded Moses.
02-40:24 And
he put the candlestick in the tent of the congregation, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.
02-40:36 And
when the cloud was taken up from over the
tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys:
03-14:5 And
the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water:
03-14:6 As
for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and
the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over
the running water:
03-14:50 And
he shall kill the one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water:
03-16:21 And
Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel,
and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of
the goat, and shall send him away by
the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:
03-25:43 Thou
shalt not rule over him with rigour; but shalt
fear thy God.
03-25:46 And
ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be
your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren
the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over
another with rigour.
03-25:53 And as a yearly hired servant shall he
be with him: and the other shall not
rule with rigour over him in thy sight.
03-26:16 I
also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over
you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and
cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies
shall eat it.
03-26:17 And
I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they
that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall
flee when none pursueth you.
04-1:50 But
thou shalt appoint the Levites over the
tabernacle of testimony, and over all the
vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the
tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and
shall encamp round about the tabernacle.
04-3:32 And
Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall
be chief over the chief of the Levites, and have the oversight of them that keep
the charge of the sanctuary.
04-3:49 And
Moses took the redemption money of them that were over
and above them that were redeemed by the Levites:
04-4:6 And
shall put thereon the covering of badgers’ skins, and shall spread over it a
cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the staves thereof.
04-5:30 Or
when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the
LORD, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.
04-7:2 That
the princes of Israel, heads of the house of their fathers, who were the princes of the tribes, and were
over them that were numbered, offered:
04-8:2 Speak
unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps
shall give light over against the candlestick.
04-8:3 And
Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over
against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.
04-10:10 Also
in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of
your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over
your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of
your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I
am the LORD your God.
04-10:14 In
the first place went the standard of
the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over his host was
Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
04-10:15 And
over the host of the tribe of the children of
Issachar was Nethaneel the son of
Zuar.
04-10:16 And
over the host of the tribe of the children of
Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.
04-10:18 And
the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their armies: and over his host was
Elizur the son of Shedeur.
04-10:19 And
over the host of the tribe of the children of
Simeon was Shelumiel the son of
Zurishaddai.
04-10:20 And
over the host of the tribe of the children of
Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel.
04-10:22 And
the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to
their armies: and over his host was Elishama the son of Ammihud.
04-10:23 And
over the host of the tribe of the children of
Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of
Pedahzur.
04-10:24 And
over the host of the tribe of the children of
Benjamin was Abidan the son of
Gideoni.
04-10:25 And
the standard of the camp of the children of Dan set forward, which was the rereward of all the camps
throughout their hosts: and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
04-10:26 And
over the host of the tribe of the children of
Asher was Pagiel the son of Ocran.
04-10:27 And
over the host of the tribe of the children of
Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan.
04-11:16 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel,
whom thou knowest to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the
congregation, that they may stand there with thee.
04-14:14 And
they will tell it to the inhabitants
of this land: for they have heard
that thou LORD art among this people,
that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that
thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time
in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.
04-16:13 Is it a small thing that thou hast
brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the
wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?
04-22:5 He
sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the
children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out
from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me:
04-25:15 And
the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midian.
04-27:16 Let
the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
04-31:14 And
Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands,
and captains over hundreds, which came from the
battle.
04-31:48 And
the officers which were over thousands of the host, the captains of thousands,
and captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses:
04-32:5 Wherefore,
said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy
servants for a possession, and bring
us not over Jordan.
04-32:7 And
wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given them?
04-32:21 And
will go all of you armed over Jordan before the
LORD, until he hath driven out his enemies from before him,
04-32:27 But
thy servants will pass over, every man armed for
war, before the LORD to battle, as my lord saith.
04-32:29 And
Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will
pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to
battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye
shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession:
04-32:30 But
if they will not pass over with you armed, they
shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.
04-32:32 We
will pass over armed before the LORD into the
land of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side Jordan may be ours.
04-33:51 Speak
unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;
04-35:10 Speak
unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come over Jordan into the land of Canaan;
05-1:1 These
be the words which Moses spake unto
all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and
Dizahab.
05-1:13 Take
you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make
them rulers over you.
05-1:15 So
I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over
thousands, and captains over hundreds, and
captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among your tribes.
05-2:13 Now
rise up, said I, and get you over the brook Zered. And we went over the brook Zered.
05-2:14 And
the space in which we came from Kadeshbarnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, was thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of
war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD sware unto them.
05-2:18 Thou
art to pass over through Ar, the coast of Moab,
this day:
05-2:19 And
when thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, distress them not,
nor meddle with them: for I will not give thee of the land of the children of
Ammon any possession; because I have
given it unto the children of Lot for a
possession.
05-2:24 Rise
ye up, take your journey, and pass over the
river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of
Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it,
and contend with him in battle.
05-2:29 (As
the children of Esau which dwell in Seir, and the Moabites which dwell in Ar,
did unto me;) until I shall pass over Jordan
into the land which the LORD our God giveth us.
05-3:18 And
I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this
land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed
before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war.
05-3:25 I
pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land
that is beyond Jordan, that goodly
mountain, and Lebanon.
05-3:27 Get
thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward,
and southward, and eastward, and behold it
with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over
this Jordan.
05-3:28 But
charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to
inherit the land which thou shalt see.
05-3:29 So
we abode in the valley over against Bethpeor.
05-4:14 And
the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye
might do them in the land whither ye go over to
possess it.
05-4:21 Furthermore
the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that
good land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance:
05-4:22 But
I must die in this land, I must not go over
Jordan: but ye shall go over, and possess that
good land.
05-4:26 I
call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon
utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over
Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your
days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.
05-4:46 On
this side Jordan, in the valley over against
Bethpeor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom
Moses and the children of Israel smote, after they were come forth out of
Egypt:
05-9:1 Hear,
O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater
and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,
05-9:3 Understand
therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is
he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy
them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them
out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.
05-11:30 Are they not on the other side Jordan,
by the way where the sun goeth down, in the land of the Canaanites, which dwell
in the champaign over against Gilgal, beside the
plains of Moreh?
05-11:31 For
ye shall pass over Jordan to go in to possess
the land which the LORD your God giveth you, and ye shall possess it, and dwell
therein.
05-12:10 But
when ye go over
Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit,
and when he giveth you rest from all
your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;
05-15:6 For
the LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto
many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.
05-17:14 When
thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt
possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me;
05-17:15 Thou
shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou
set king over thee: thou mayest not set a
stranger over thee, which is not thy brother.
05-21:6 And
all the elders of that city, that are next
unto the slain man, shall wash their
hands over the heifer that is beheaded in the
valley:
05-24:20 When
thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over
the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the
widow.
05-27:2 And
it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over
Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set
thee up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:
05-27:3 And
thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the
LORD thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD
God of thy fathers hath promised thee.
05-27:4 Therefore
it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which
I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with
plaister.
05-27:12 These
shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and
Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:
05-28:23 And
thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is
under thee shall be iron.
05-28:36 The
LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy
fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
05-28:63 And
it shall come to pass, that as the
LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to
multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you
to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off
the land whither thou goest to possess it.
05-30:9 And
the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the
fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy
land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over
thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:
05-30:13 Neither
is it beyond the sea, that thou
shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us,
and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
05-30:18 I
denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your
days upon the land, whither thou passest over
Jordan to go to possess it.
05-31:2 And
he said unto them, I am an hundred
and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the LORD
hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this
Jordan.
05-31:3 The
LORD thy God, he will go over before thee, and he will destroy these nations from
before thee, and thou shalt possess them: and
Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as the
LORD hath said.
05-31:13 And
that their children, which have not
known any thing, may hear, and learn
to fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
05-31:15 And
the LORD appeared in the tabernacle in a pillar of a cloud: and the pillar of
the cloud stood over the door of the tabernacle.
05-32:11 As
an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over
her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
05-32:47 For
it is not a vain thing for you;
because it is your life: and through
this thing ye shall prolong your days
in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to
possess it.
05-32:49 Get
thee up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount
Nebo, which is in the land of Moab,
that is over
against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children
of Israel for a possession:
05-34:1 And
Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of
Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the
land of Gilead, unto Dan,
05-34:4 And
the LORD said unto him, This is the
land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will
give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over
thither.
05-34:6 And
he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over
against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.
06-1:2 Moses
my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over
this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
06-1:11 Pass
through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for
within three days ye shall pass over this
Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to
possess it.
06-2:23 So
the two men returned, and descended from the mountain, and passed over, and came to Joshua the son of Nun, and told him
all things that befell them:
06-3:1 And
Joshua rose early in the morning; and they removed from Shittim, and came to
Jordan, he and all the children of Israel, and lodged there before they passed over.
06-3:6 And
Joshua spake unto the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and
pass over before the people. And they took up
the ark of the covenant, and went before the people.
06-3:11 Behold,
the ark of the covenant of the LORD of all the earth passeth over before you into Jordan.
06-3:14 And
it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the
covenant before the people;
06-3:16 That
the waters which came down from above stood and
rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the
plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.
06-3:17 And
the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry
ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed
clean over Jordan.
06-4:1 And
it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over
Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,
06-4:3 And
command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the
place where the priests’ feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall carry
them over with you, and leave them in the
lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night.
06-4:5 And
Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark
of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take you up every man of you
a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the
children of Israel:
06-4:7 Then
ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of
the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over
Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a
memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.
06-4:8 And
the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones
out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto Joshua, according to the
number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and
laid them down there.
06-4:10 For
the priests which bare the ark stood in the midst of Jordan, until every thing
was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according
to all that Moses commanded Joshua: and the people hasted and passed over.
06-4:11 And
it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over,
that the ark of the LORD passed over, and the
priests, in the presence of the people.
06-4:12 And
the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and half the tribe of
Manasseh, passed over armed before the children
of Israel, as Moses spake unto them:
06-4:13 About
forty thousand prepared for war passed over
before the LORD unto battle, to the plains of Jericho.
06-4:18 And
it came to pass, when the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD
were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and
the soles of the priests’ feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the
waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over
all his banks, as they did before.
06-4:22 Then
ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over
this Jordan on dry land.
06-4:23 For
the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed
over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea,
which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over:
06-5:1 And
it came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, which were on the side of Jordan westward, and all the kings of the
Canaanites, which were by the sea,
heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children
of Israel, until we were passed over, that their
heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the
children of Israel.
06-5:13 And
it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and
looked, and, behold, there stood a man over
against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and
said unto him, Art thou for us, or
for our adversaries?
06-7:7 And
Joshua said, Alas, O Lord GOD, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the
Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the
other side Jordan!
06-7:26 And
they raised over him a great heap of stones unto
this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the
name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.
06-8:31 As
Moses the servant of the LORD commanded the children of Israel, as it is
written in the book of the law of Moses, an altar of whole stones, over which no man hath lift up any iron: and they offered thereon burnt offerings unto the LORD,
and sacrificed peace offerings.
06-8:33 And
all Israel, and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this
side the ark and on that side before the priests the Levites, which bare the
ark of the covenant of the LORD, as well the stranger, as he that was born
among them; half of them over against mount
Gerizim, and half of them over against mount
Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded before, that they should
bless the people of Israel.
06-9:1 And
it came to pass, when all the kings which were
on this side Jordan, in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the
coasts of the great sea over against Lebanon,
the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the
Jebusite, heard thereof;
06-18:13 And
the border went over from thence toward Luz, to
the side of Luz, which is Bethel,
southward; and the border descended to Atarothadar, near the hill that lieth on the south side of the nether
Bethhoron.
06-18:17 And
was drawn from the north, and went forth to Enshemesh, and went forth toward
Geliloth, which is over against the going up of Adummim, and descended to
the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben,
06-18:18 And
passed along toward the side over against Arabah
northward, and went down unto Arabah:
06-22:11 And
the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the children of Reuben and the
children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh have built an altar over against the land of Canaan, in the borders of
Jordan, at the passage of the children of Israel.
06-22:19 Notwithstanding,
if the land of your possession be unclean,
then pass ye over
unto the land of the possession of the LORD, wherein the LORD’S tabernacle
dwelleth, and take possession among us: but rebel not against the LORD, nor
rebel against us, in building you an altar beside the altar of the LORD our
God.
06-24:11 And
ye went over Jordan, and came unto Jericho: and
the men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and
the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the
Jebusites; and I delivered them into your hand.
07-3:28 And
he said unto them, Follow after me: for the LORD hath delivered your enemies
the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords
of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to pass over.
07-5:13 Then
he made him that remaineth have dominion over
the nobles among the people: the LORD made me have dominion over the mighty.
07-6:33 Then
all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east were
gathered together, and went over, and pitched in
the valley of Jezreel.
07-8:4 And
Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over, he, and the three hundred men that were with him, faint, yet pursuing them.
07-8:22 Then
the men of Israel said unto Gideon, Rule thou over
us, both thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son also: for thou hast delivered us
from the hand of Midian.
07-8:23 And
Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you,
neither shall my son rule over you: the LORD
shall rule over you.
07-9:2 Speak,
I pray you, in the ears of all the men of Shechem, Whether is better for you, either that all the sons of Jerubbaal, which are threescore and ten persons,
reign over you, or that one reign over you? remember also that I am your bone and your flesh.
07-9:8 The
trees went forth on a time to anoint
a king over them; and they said unto the olive
tree, Reign thou over us.
07-9:9 But
the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they
honour God and man, and go to be promoted over
the trees?
07-9:10 And
the trees said to the fig tree, Come thou, and
reign over us.
07-9:11 But
the fig tree said unto them, Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good fruit,
and go to be promoted over the trees?
07-9:12 Then
said the trees unto the vine, Come thou, and
reign over us.
07-9:13 And
the vine said unto them, Should I leave my wine, which cheereth God and man,
and go to be promoted over the trees?
07-9:14 Then
said all the trees unto the bramble, Come thou, and reign over us.
07-9:15 And
the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come
and put your trust in my shadow: and
if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.
07-9:18 And
ye are risen up against my father’s house this day, and have slain his sons,
threescore and ten persons, upon one stone, and have made Abimelech, the son of
his maidservant, king over the men of Shechem,
because he is your brother;)
07-9:22 When
Abimelech had reigned three years over Israel,
07-9:26 And
Gaal the son of Ebed came with his brethren, and went over
to Shechem: and the men of Shechem put their confidence in him.
07-10:9 Moreover
the children of Ammon passed over Jordan to
fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of
Ephraim; so that Israel was sore distressed.
07-10:18 And
the people and princes of Gilead said
one to another, What man is he that
will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.
07-11:8 And
the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, Therefore we turn again to thee now,
that thou mayest go with us, and fight against the children of Ammon, and be
our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.
07-11:11 Then
Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and
captain over them: and Jephthah uttered all his
words before the LORD in Mizpeh.
07-11:29 Then
the spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah, and he passed over Gilead, and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he
passed over unto
the children of Ammon.
07-11:32 So
Jephthah passed over unto the children of Ammon
to fight against them; and the LORD delivered them into his hands.
07-12:1 And
the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said
unto Jephthah, Wherefore passedst thou over to
fight against the children of Ammon, and didst not call us to go with thee? we
will burn thine house upon thee with fire.
07-12:3 And
when I saw that ye delivered me not,
I put my life in my hands, and passed over
against the children of Ammon, and the LORD delivered them into my hand:
wherefore then are ye come up unto me this day, to fight against me?
07-12:5 And
the Gileadites took the passages of Jordan before the Ephraimites: and it was so that when those Ephraimites which
were escaped said, Let me go over; that the men
of Gilead said unto him, Art thou an
Ephraimite? If he said, Nay;
07-14:4 But
his father and his mother knew not that it was
of the LORD, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at
that time the Philistines had dominion over
Israel.
07-15:11 Then
three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to
Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines are rulers over us? what is this that thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did
unto me, so have I done unto them.
07-19:10 But
the man would not tarry that night, but he rose up and departed, and came over against Jebus, which is Jerusalem; and there were with
him two asses saddled, his concubine also was
with him.
07-19:12 And
his master said unto him, We will not turn aside hither into the city of a
stranger, that is not of the children
of Israel; we will pass over to Gibeah.
07-20:43 Thus they inclosed the Benjamites round
about, and chased them, and trode them down with ease over against Gibeah toward the sunrising.
08-2:5 Then
said Boaz unto his servant that was set over the
reapers, Whose damsel is this?
08-2:6 And
the servant that was set over the reapers
answered and said, It is the
Moabitish damsel that came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab:
08-3:9 And
he said, Who art thou? And she
answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid:
spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid;
for thou art a near kinsman.
09-2:1 And
Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted
in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine
enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.
09-8:1 And
it came to pass, when Samuel was old, that he made his sons judges over Israel.
09-8:7 And
the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that
they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me,
that I should not reign over them.
09-8:9 Now
therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and
shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over
them.
09-8:11 And
he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots.
09-8:12 And
he will appoint him captains over thousands, and
captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to
make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.
09-8:19 Nevertheless
the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will
have a king over us;
09-9:16 To
morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and
thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out
of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their
cry is come unto me.
09-9:17 And
when Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said unto him, Behold the man whom I spake to
thee of! this same shall reign over my people.
09-10:1 Then
Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon
his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it
not because the LORD hath anointed thee to
be captain over his inheritance?
09-10:19 And
ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your
adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the
LORD by your tribes, and by your thousands.
09-11:12 And
the people said unto Samuel, Who is he
that said, Shall Saul reign over us? bring the
men, that we may put them to death.
09-12:1 And
Samuel said unto all Israel, Behold, I have hearkened unto your voice in all
that ye said unto me, and have made a king over
you.
09-12:12 And
when ye saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against you, ye
said unto me, Nay; but a king shall reign over
us: when the LORD your God was your
king.
09-12:13 Now
therefore behold the king whom ye have chosen, and whom ye have desired! and, behold, the LORD hath set a king over you.
09-12:14 If
ye will fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against
the commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth
over you continue following the LORD your God:
09-13:1 Saul
reigned one year; and when he had reigned two years over
Israel,
09-13:7 And
some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for
Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all
the people followed him trembling.
09-13:14 But
now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his
own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to
be captain over his people, because thou
hast not kept that which the LORD
commanded thee.
09-14:1 Now
it came to pass upon a day, that Jonathan the son of Saul said unto the young
man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over
to the Philistines’ garrison, that is on
the other side. But he told not his father.
09-14:4 And
between the passages, by which Jonathan sought to go over
unto the Philistines’ garrison, there was
a sharp rock on the one side, and a sharp rock on the other side: and the
name of the one was Bozez, and the
name of the other Seneh.
09-14:5 The
forefront of the one was situate
northward over against Michmash, and the other
southward over against Gibeah.
09-14:6 And
Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may
be that the LORD will work for us: for there
is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few.
09-14:8 Then
said Jonathan, Behold, we will pass over unto these men, and we will discover
ourselves unto them.
09-14:23 So
the LORD saved Israel that day: and the battle passed over
unto Bethaven.
09-14:47 So
Saul took the kingdom over Israel, and fought
against all his enemies on every side, against Moab, and against the children
of Ammon, and against Edom, and against the kings of Zobah, and against the
Philistines: and whithersoever he turned himself, he vexed them.
09-15:1 Samuel
also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice
of the words of the LORD.
09-15:7 And
Saul smote the Amalekites from Havilah until
thou comest to Shur, that is over against Egypt.
09-15:17 And
Samuel said, When thou wast little in
thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel,
and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel?
09-15:26 And
Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the
word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.
09-15:35 And
Samuel came no more to see Saul until the day of his death: nevertheless Samuel
mourned for Saul: and the LORD repented that he had made Saul king over Israel.
09-16:1 And
the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have
rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill
thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I
have provided me a king among his sons.
09-17:50 So
David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling
and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.
09-18:5 And
David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, and
behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over
the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in
the sight of Saul’s servants.
09-18:13 Therefore
Saul removed him from him, and made him his captain over
a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people.
09-19:20 And
Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the
prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as
appointed over them, the spirit of God was
upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.
09-22:2 And
every one that was in distress, and
every one that was in debt, and every
one that was discontented, gathered
themselves unto him; and he became a captain over
them: and there were with him about four hundred men.
09-22:9 Then
answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over
the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to
Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.
09-23:17 And
he said unto him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee;
and thou shalt be king over Israel, and I shall
be next unto thee; and that also Saul my father knoweth.
09-25:30 And
it shall come to pass, when the LORD shall have done to my lord according to
all the good that he hath spoken concerning thee, and shall have appointed thee
ruler over Israel;
09-26:13 Then
David went over to the other side, and stood on
the top of an hill afar off; a great space being
between them:
09-26:22 And
David answered and said, Behold the king’s spear! and let one of the young men
come over and fetch it.
09-27:2 And
David arose, and he passed over with the six
hundred men that were with him unto
Achish, the son of Maoch, king of Gath.
09-30:10 But
David pursued, he and four hundred men: for two hundred abode behind, which
were so faint that they could not go over the
brook Besor.
10-1:17 And
David lamented with this lamentation over Saul
and over Jonathan his son:
10-1:24 Ye
daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed
you in scarlet, with other delights,
who put on ornaments of gold upon your apparel.
10-2:4 And
the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, That the men of Jabeshgilead were they that buried Saul.
10-2:7 Therefore
now let your hands be strengthened, and be ye valiant: for your master Saul is
dead, and also the house of Judah have anointed me king over them.
10-2:8 But
Abner the son of Ner, captain of Saul’s host, took Ishbosheth the son of Saul,
and brought him over to Mahanaim;
10-2:9 And
made him king over Gilead, and over the Ashurites, and over
Jezreel, and over Ephraim, and over Benjamin, and over
all Israel.
10-2:10 Ishbosheth
Saul’s son was forty years old when
he began to reign over Israel, and reigned two
years. But the house of Judah followed David.
10-2:11 And
the time that David was king in Hebron over the
house of Judah was seven years and six months.
10-2:15 Then
there arose and went over by number twelve of
Benjamin, which pertained to
Ishbosheth the son of Saul, and twelve of the servants of David.
10-2:29 And
Abner and his men walked all that night through the plain, and passed over Jordan, and went through all Bithron, and they
came to Mahanaim.
10-3:10 To
translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David
over Israel and over
Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba.
10-3:17 And
Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying, Ye sought for David
in times past to be king over you:
10-3:21 And
Abner said unto David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel unto my
lord the king, that they may make a league with thee, and that thou mayest
reign over all that thine heart desireth. And
David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.
10-3:33 And
the king lamented over Abner, and said, Died
Abner as a fool dieth?
10-3:34 Thy
hands were not bound, nor thy feet
put into fetters: as a man falleth before wicked men, so fellest thou. And all the people wept again over him.
10-4:12 And
David commanded his young men, and they slew them, and cut off their hands and
their feet, and hanged them up over the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of
Ishbosheth, and buried it in the
sepulchre of Abner in Hebron.
10-5:2 Also
in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou
wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD said to thee,
Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be a captain over Israel.
10-5:3 So
all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a
league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.
10-5:5 In
Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six
months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.
10-5:12 And
David perceived that the LORD had established him king over
Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel’s sake.
10-5:17 But
when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek
David; and David heard of it, and
went down to the hold.
10-5:23 And
when David enquired of the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and
come upon them over against the mulberry trees.
10-6:21 And
David said unto Michal, It was before
the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to
appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.
10-7:8 Now
therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of
hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over
Israel:
10-7:11 And
as since the time that I commanded judges to
be over my people Israel, and have caused
thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the LORD telleth thee that he will
make thee an house.
10-7:26 And
let thy name be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God over
Israel: and let the house of thy servant David be established before thee.
10-8:15 And
David reigned over all Israel; and David
executed judgment and justice unto all his people.
10-8:16 And
Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;
10-8:18 And
Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and
David’s sons were chief rulers.
10-10:17 And
when it was told David, he gathered all Israel together, and passed over Jordan, and came to Helam. And the Syrians set
themselves in array against David, and fought with him.
10-12:7 And
Nathan said to David, Thou art the
man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of
Saul;
10-15:22 And
David said to Ittai, Go and pass over. And Ittai
the Gittite passed over, and all his men, and
all the little ones that were with
him.
10-15:23 And
all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.
10-16:9 Then
said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse
my lord the king? let me go over, I pray thee,
and take off his head.
10-16:13 And
as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill’s side over against him, and cursed as he went, and threw
stones at him, and cast dust.
10-17:16 Now
therefore send quickly, and tell David, saying, Lodge not this night in the
plains of the wilderness, but speedily pass over;
lest the king be swallowed up, and all the people that are with him.
10-17:19 And
the woman took and spread a covering over the
well’s mouth, and spread ground corn thereon; and the thing was not known.
10-17:20 And
when Absalom’s servants came to the woman to the house, they said, Where is Ahimaaz and Jonathan? And the woman
said unto them, They be gone over the brook of
water. And when they had sought and could not find them, they returned to Jerusalem.
10-17:21 And
it came to pass, after they were departed, that they came up out of the well,
and went and told king David, and said unto David, Arise, and pass quickly over the water: for thus hath Ahithophel counselled
against you.
10-17:22 Then
David arose, and all the people that were
with him, and they passed over Jordan: by
the morning light there lacked not one of them that was not gone over Jordan.
10-17:24 Then
David came to Mahanaim. And Absalom passed over
Jordan, he and all the men of Israel with him.
10-18:1 And
David numbered the people that were with
him, and set captains of thousands and captains of hundreds over them.
10-18:8 For
the battle was there scattered over the face of
all the country: and the wood devoured more people that day than the sword
devoured.
10-18:24 And
David sat between the two gates: and the watchman went up to the roof over the gate unto the wall, and lifted up his eyes,
and looked, and behold a man running alone.
10-18:33 And
the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber over
the gate, and wept: and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my
son Absalom! would God I had died for thee, O Absalom, my son, my son!
10-19:10 And
Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in
battle. Now therefore why speak ye not a word of bringing the king back?
10-19:15 So
the king returned, and came to Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to go to meet
the king, to conduct the king over Jordan.
10-19:17 And
there were a thousand men of Benjamin
with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and
his twenty servants with him; and they went over
Jordan before the king.
10-19:18 And
there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king’s household, and to do what he thought
good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan;
10-19:22 And
David said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah, that ye should this
day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in
Israel? for do not I know that I am this
day king over Israel?
10-19:31 And
Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim, and went over Jordan with the king, to conduct him over Jordan.
10-19:33 And
the king said unto Barzillai, Come thou over
with me, and I will feed thee with me in Jerusalem.
10-19:36 Thy
servant will go a little way over Jordan with
the king: and why should the king recompense it me with such a reward?
10-19:37 Let
thy servant, I pray thee, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, and be buried by the grave of my father
and of my mother. But behold thy servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall
seem good unto thee.
10-19:38 And
the king answered, Chimham shall go over with
me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto thee: and whatsoever
thou shalt require of me, that will I
do for thee.
10-19:39 And
all the people went over Jordan. And when the king
was come over, the king kissed Barzillai, and
blessed him; and he returned unto his own place.
10-19:41 And,
behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said unto the king, Why
have our brethren the men of Judah stolen thee away, and have brought the king,
and his household, and all David’s men with him, over
Jordan?
10-20:21 The
matter is not so: but a man of mount
Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bichri by name, hath lifted up his hand against the
king, even against David: deliver him
only, and I will depart from the city. And the woman said unto Joab, Behold,
his head shall be thrown to thee over the wall.
10-20:23 Now
Joab was over
all the host of Israel: and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and over the Pelethites:
10-20:24 And
Adoram was over
the tribute: and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder:
10-22:30 For
by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.
10-23:3 The
God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be
just, ruling in the fear of God.
10-23:23 He
was more honourable than the thirty, but he attained not to the first three. And David set him over his guard.
10-24:5 And
they passed over Jordan, and pitched in Aroer,
on the right side of the city that lieth in
the midst of the river of Gad, and toward Jazer:
11-1:34 And
let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel: and blow ye with the trumpet, and say,
God save king Solomon.
11-1:35 Then
ye shall come up after him, that he may come and sit upon my throne; for he
shall be king in my stead: and I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over
Judah.
11-2:11 And
the days that David reigned over Israel were forty years: seven years reigned he
in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.
11-2:35 And
the king put Benaiah the son of Jehoiada in his room over
the host: and Zadok the priest did the king put in the room of Abiathar.
11-2:37 For
it shall be, that on the day thou
goest out, and passest over the brook Kidron,
thou shalt know for certain that thou shalt surely die: thy blood shall be upon
thine own head.
11-4:1 So
king Solomon was king over all Israel.
11-4:4 And
Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
11-4:5 And
Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers; and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king’s friend:
11-4:6 And
Ahishar was over
the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was
over the tribute.
11-4:7 And
Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel,
which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a
year made provision.
11-4:21 And
Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river
unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought
presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
11-4:24 For
he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had
peace on all sides round about him.
11-5:7 And
it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced
greatly, and said, Blessed be the
LORD this day, which hath given unto David a wise son over
this great people.
11-5:14 And
he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses: a month they were in
Lebanon, and two months at home: and
Adoniram was over
the levy.
11-5:16 Beside
the chief of Solomon’s officers which were
over the work, three thousand and three
hundred, which ruled over the people that
wrought in the work.
11-6:1 And
it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of
Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign
over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to
build the house of the LORD.
11-7:20 And
the chapiters upon the two pillars had
pomegranates also above, over against the
belly which was by the network: and
the pomegranates were two hundred in
rows round about upon the other chapiter.
11-7:39 And
he put five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of
the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward over against the south.
11-8:7 For
the cherubims spread forth their two
wings over the place of the ark, and the
cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.
11-8:16 Since
the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out
of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name might be therein;
but I chose David to be over my people Israel.
11-9:23 These
were the chief of the officers that were over
Solomon’s work, five hundred and fifty, which bare rule over the people that wrought in the work.
11-11:24 And
he gathered men unto him, and became captain over
a band, when David slew them of Zobah: and
they went to Damascus, and dwelt therein, and reigned in Damascus.
11-11:25 And
he was an adversary to Israel all the days of Solomon, beside the mischief that
Hadad did: and he abhorred Israel,
and reigned over Syria.
11-11:28 And
the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of
valour: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him
ruler over all the charge of the house of
Joseph.
11-11:37 And
I will take thee, and thou shalt reign according to all that thy soul desireth,
and shalt be king over Israel.
11-11:42 And
the time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over
all Israel was forty years.
11-12:17 But
as for the children of Israel which
dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over
them.
11-12:18 Then
king Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was over the tribute; and all Israel stoned him with
stones, that he died. Therefore king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his
chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.
11-12:20 And
it came to pass, when all Israel heard that Jeroboam was come again, that they
sent and called him unto the congregation, and made him king over all Israel: there was none that followed the house
of David, but the tribe of Judah only.
11-13:30 And
he laid his carcase in his own grave; and they mourned over
him, saying, Alas, my brother!
11-14:2 And
Jeroboam said to his wife, Arise, I pray thee, and disguise thyself, that thou be
not known to be the wife of Jeroboam; and get thee to Shiloh: behold, there is Ahijah the prophet, which told me
that I should be king over this people.
11-14:7 Go,
tell Jeroboam, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Forasmuch as I exalted thee
from among the people, and made thee prince over
my people Israel,
11-14:14 Moreover
the LORD shall raise him up a king over Israel,
who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam that day: but what? even now.
11-15:1 Now
in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam the son of Nebat reigned Abijam over Judah.
11-15:9 And
in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned Asa over Judah.
11-15:25 And
Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over
Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned over Israel two years.
11-15:33 In
the third year of Asa king of Judah began Baasha the son of Ahijah to reign over all Israel in Tirzah, twenty and four years.
11-16:2 Forasmuch
as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel; and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam,
and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;
11-16:8 In
the twenty and sixth year of Asa king of Judah began Elah the son of Baasha to
reign over Israel in Tirzah, two years.
11-16:16 And
the people that were encamped heard
say, Zimri hath conspired, and hath also slain the king: wherefore all Israel
made Omri, the captain of the host, king over
Israel that day in the camp.
11-16:18 And
it came to pass, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the
palace of the king’s house, and burnt the king’s house over
him with fire, and died,
11-16:23 In
the thirty and first year of Asa king of Judah began Omri to reign over Israel, twelve years: six years reigned he in
Tirzah.
11-16:29 And
in the thirty and eighth year of Asa king of Judah began Ahab the son of Omri
to reign over Israel: and Ahab the son of Omri
reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty and two
years.
11-19:15 And
the LORD said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus:
and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be
king over Syria:
11-19:16 And
Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to
be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of
Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to
be prophet in thy room.
11-20:29 And
they pitched one over against the other seven
days. And so it was, that in the
seventh day the battle was joined: and the children of Israel slew of the
Syrians an hundred thousand footmen in one day.
11-22:31 But
the king of Syria commanded his thirty and two captains that had rule over his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small
nor great, save only with the king of Israel.

years over Israel.
12-2:8 And
Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together,
and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they
two went over on dry ground.
12-2:9 And
it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah
said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from
thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon
me.
12-2:14 And
he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said,
Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and
when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha
went over.

come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike
his hand over the place, and recover the leper.
12-8:13 And
Hazael said, But what, is thy servant
a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD hath
shewed me that thou shalt be king over Syria.
12-8:20 In
his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves.
12-8:21 So
Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots
with him: and he rose by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him
about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into their tents.
12-9:3 Then
take the box of oil, and pour it on
his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry
not.
12-9:6 And
he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said
unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.
12-9:12 And
they said, It is false; tell us now.

anointed thee king over Israel.
12-9:29 And
in the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab began Ahaziah to reign over Judah.
12-10:5 And
he that was over
the house, and he that was over the city, the elders also, and the bringers up of the children, sent to Jehu, saying,
We are thy servants, and will do all
that thou shalt bid us; we will not make any king: do thou that which is good in thine eyes.

12-11:9 And
the captains over the hundreds did according to
all things that Jehoiada the priest
commanded: and they took every man his men that were to come in on the sabbath,
with them that should go out on the sabbath, and came to Jehoiada the priest.

give king David’s spears and shields, that were
in the temple of the LORD.
12-11:18 And

altars and his images brake they in pieces thoroughly, and slew Mattan the
priest of Baal before the altars. And the priest appointed officers over the house of the LORD.
12-11:19 And
he took the rulers over hundreds, and the
captains, and the guard, and all the people of the land; and they brought down the
king from the house of the LORD, and came by the way of the gate of the guard
to the king’s house. And he sat on the throne of the kings.

thereof.

over the household, and Shebna the scribe,
and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.

he sent Eliakim, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the
elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of
Amoz.
12-21:13 And
I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of
Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down.
12-25:19 And
out of the city he took an officer that was set over
the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king’s presence, which
were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host, which mustered
the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the land that were found in the city:

these Levites, the four chief porters, were in their set office, and were over the
chambers and treasuries of the house of God.
13-9:31 And
Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the
Korahite, had the set office over the things
that were made in the pans.
13-9:32 And
other of their brethren, of the sons
of the Kohathites, were over the shewbread, to prepare it every sabbath.
13-9:38 And
Mikloth begat Shimeam. And they also dwelt with their brethren at Jerusalem, over against their brethren.
13-11:2 And
moreover in time past, even when Saul was king, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD thy
God said unto thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be ruler over my people Israel.
13-11:3 Therefore
came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant
with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by
Samuel.
13-11:25 Behold,
he was honourable among the thirty, but attained not to the first three: and David set him over his guard.
13-12:4 And
Ismaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and
Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite,
13-12:14 These
were of the sons of Gad, captains of
the host: one of the least was over an hundred, and the greatest over a thousand.
13-12:15 These
are they that went over Jordan in the first month, when it had overflown
all his banks; and they put to flight all them
of the valleys, both toward the
east, and toward the west.
13-12:38 All
these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to
make David king over all Israel: and all the
rest also of Israel were of one heart
to make David king.
13-14:2 And
David perceived that the LORD had confirmed him king over
Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel.
13-14:8 And
when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And
David heard of it, and went out
against them.
13-14:14 Therefore
David enquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn
away from them, and come upon them over against
the mulberry trees.
13-15:25 So
David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over
thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the
house of Obededom with joy.
13-17:7 Now
therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of
hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, even
from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel:
13-17:10 And
since the time that I commanded judges to
be over my people Israel. Moreover I will
subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD will build thee
an house.
13-18:14 So
David reigned over all Israel, and executed
judgment and justice among all his people.
13-18:15 And
Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud,
recorder.
13-18:17 And
Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons
of David were chief about the king.
13-19:17 And
it was told David; and he gathered all Israel, and passed over Jordan, and came upon them, and set the battle in array against them. So
when David had put the battle in array against the Syrians, they fought with
him.
13-21:16 And
David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of the LORD stand between the earth
and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in
sackcloth, fell upon their faces.
13-22:10 He
shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish
the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.
13-23:1 So
when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.
13-24:31 These
likewise cast lots over against their brethren
the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech,
and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal
fathers over against their younger brethren.
13-26:20 And
of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.
13-26:22 The
sons of Jehieli; Zetham, and Joel his brother, which were over the treasures of the
house of the LORD.
13-26:26 Which
Shelomith and his brethren were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which
David the king, and the chief fathers, the captains over
thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.
13-26:29 Of
the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were
for the outward business over Israel, for
officers and judges.
13-26:32 And
his brethren, men of valour, were two
thousand and seven hundred chief fathers, whom king David made rulers over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe
of Manasseh, for every matter pertaining to God, and affairs of the king.
13-27:2 Over the first course for the first month was Jashobeam the son of Zabdiel: and in
his course were twenty and four
thousand.
13-27:4 And
over the course of the second month was Dodai an Ahohite, and of his course was Mikloth also the ruler: in his
course likewise were twenty and four
thousand.
13-27:16 Furthermore
over the tribes of Israel: the ruler of the
Reubenites was Eliezer the son of
Zichri: of the Simeonites, Shephatiah the son of Maachah:
13-27:25 And
over the king’s treasures was Azmaveth the son of Adiel: and over
the storehouses in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the
castles, was Jehonathan the son of
Uzziah:
13-27:26 And
over them that did the work of the field for tillage
of the ground was Ezri the son of
Chelub:
13-27:27 And
over the vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite: over the
increase of the vineyards for the wine cellars was Zabdi the Shiphmite:
13-27:28 And
over the olive trees and the sycomore trees that
were in the low plains was Baalhanan the Gederite: and over the cellars of oil was Joash:
13-27:29 And
over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite: and over the herds that
were in the valleys was Shaphat
the son of Adlai:
13-27:30 Over the camels also was Obil the Ishmaelite: and over
the asses was Jehdeiah the
Meronothite:
13-27:31 And
over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagerite. All these were the rulers of the substance which was king David’s.
13-28:1 And
David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the
captains of the companies that ministered to the king by course, and the
captains over the thousands, and captains over the hundreds, and the stewards over all the substance and possession of the king, and
of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the
valiant men, unto Jerusalem.
13-28:4 Howbeit
the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of
Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to
make me king over
all Israel:
13-28:5 And
of all my sons, (for the LORD hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Solomon
my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.
13-29:3 Moreover,
because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own
proper good, of gold and silver, which I
have given to the house of my God, over and
above all that I have prepared for the holy house,
13-29:12 Both
riches and honour come of thee, and
thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give
strength unto all.
13-29:26 Thus
David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.
13-29:27 And
the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he
in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned
he in Jerusalem.
13-29:30 With
all his reign and his might, and the times that went over
him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the countries.
14-1:9 Now,
O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast
made me king over a people like the dust of the earth
in multitude.
14-1:11 And
God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked
riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast
asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou
mayest judge my people, over whom I have made
thee king:
14-1:13 Then
Solomon came from his journey to the
high place that was at Gibeon to
Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel.
14-2:11 Then
Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because
the LORD hath loved his people, he hath made thee king over
them.
14-4:10 And
he set the sea on the right side of the east end, over
against the south.
14-5:8 For
the cherubims spread forth their wings
over the place of the ark, and the cherubims
covered the ark and the staves thereof above.
14-6:5 Since
the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt I chose no city
among all the tribes of Israel to build an house in, that my name might be
there; neither chose I any man to be a ruler over
my people Israel:
14-6:6 But
I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to
be over my people Israel.
14-6:36 If
they sin against thee, (for there is no
man which sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them over before their
enemies, and they carry them away captives unto a land far off or near;
14-8:10 And
these were the chief of king
Solomon’s officers, even two hundred
and fifty, that bare rule over the people.
14-9:8 Blessed
be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, to be king for the LORD thy God: because
thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.
14-9:26 And
he reigned over all the kings from the river
even unto the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.
14-9:30 And
Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel
forty years.
14-10:17 But
as for the children of Israel that
dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over
them.
14-10:18 Then
king Rehoboam sent Hadoram that was over the tribute; and the children of Israel stoned
him with stones, that he died. But king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.
14-13:1 Now
in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam began Abijah to reign over Judah.
14-13:5 Ought
ye not to know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?
14-19:11 And,
behold, Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of the LORD; and Zebadiah the
son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, for all the king’s matters:
also the Levites shall be officers
before you. Deal courageously, and the LORD shall be with the good.
14-20:6 And
said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not
thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou
over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in
thine hand is there not power and might,
so that none is able to withstand thee?
14-20:27 Then
they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the
forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made
them to rejoice over their enemies.
14-20:31 And
Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty and five years old when he
began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his
mother’s name was Azubah the daughter
of Shilhi.
14-22:12 And
he was with them hid in the house of God six years: and Athaliah reigned over the land.
14-23:14 Then
Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds that were set over the host, and said unto them, Have her forth of
the ranges: and whoso followeth her, let him be slain with the sword. For the
priest said, Slay her not in the house of the LORD.
14-25:5 Moreover
Amaziah gathered Judah together, and made them captains over thousands, and captains over
hundreds, according to the houses of their
fathers, throughout all Judah and Benjamin: and he numbered them from
twenty years old and above, and found them three hundred thousand choice men, able to go forth to war, that could
handle spear and shield.
14-26:21 And
Uzziah the king was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house,
being a leper; for he was cut off
from the house of the LORD: and Jotham his son was over the king’s house, judging
the people of the land.
14-31:12 And
brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully: over which
Cononiah the Levite was ruler, and
Shimei his brother was the next.
14-31:14 And
Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the porter toward the east, was over
the freewill offerings of God, to distribute the oblations of the LORD, and the
most holy things.
14-32:6 And
he set captains of war over the people, and
gathered them together to him in the street of the gate of the city, and spake
comfortably to them, saying,
14-32:11 Doth
not Hezekiah persuade you to give over
yourselves to die by famine and by thirst, saying, The LORD our God shall
deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
14-34:13 Also
they were over
the bearers of burdens, and were overseers
of all that wrought the work in any manner of service: and of the Levites there were scribes, and officers, and
porters.
14-36:4 And
the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over
Judah and Jerusalem, and turned his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho took Jehoahaz
his brother, and carried him to Egypt.
14-36:10 And
when the year was expired, king Nebuchadnezzar sent, and brought him to
Babylon, with the goodly vessels of the house of the LORD, and made Zedekiah
his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.
15-4:10 And
the rest of the nations whom the great and noble Asnapper brought over, and set in the cities of Samaria, and the rest that are on this side the river, and at
such a time.
15-4:20 There
have been mighty kings also over Jerusalem,
which have ruled over all countries beyond the river; and toll, tribute, and custom, was paid
unto them.
15-9:6 And
said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: for
our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up
unto the heavens.
16-2:7 Moreover
I said unto the king, If it please the king, let letters be given me to the
governors beyond the river, that they may convey me over
till I come into Judah;
16-3:10 And
next unto them repaired Jedaiah the son of Harumaph, even over against his house. And next unto him repaired
Hattush the son of Hashabniah.
16-3:16 After
him repaired Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of the half part of Bethzur,
unto the place over against the sepulchres of David, and to the pool
that was made, and unto the house of the mighty.
16-3:19 And
next to him repaired Ezer the son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizpah, another piece
over against the going up to the armoury at the
turning of the wall.
16-3:23 After
him repaired Benjamin and Hashub over against
their house. After him repaired Azariah the son of Maaseiah the son of Ananiah
by his house.
16-3:25 Palal
the son of Uzai, over against the turning of the wall, and the tower which lieth
out from the king’s high house, that was by
the court of the prison. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh.
16-3:26 Moreover
the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel, unto the
place over against the water gate toward the
east, and the tower that lieth out.
16-3:27 After
them the Tekoites repaired another piece, over
against the great tower that lieth out, even unto the wall of Ophel.
16-3:28 From
above the horse gate repaired the priests, every one over
against his house.
16-3:29 After
them repaired Zadok the son of Immer over
against his house. After him repaired also Shemaiah the son of Shechaniah, the
keeper of the east gate.
16-3:30 After
him repaired Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph,
another piece. After him repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah over against his chamber.
16-3:31 After
him repaired Malchiah the goldsmith’s son unto the place of the Nethinims, and
of the merchants, over against the gate Miphkad,
and to the going up of the corner.
16-5:15 But
the former governors that had been before
me were chargeable unto the people, and had taken of them bread and wine,
beside forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear
of God.
16-7:2 That
I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.
16-7:3 And
I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be
hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants
of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.
16-9:28 But
after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou
them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto
thee, thou heardest them from heaven;
and many times didst thou deliver them according to thy mercies;
16-9:37 And
it yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou hast set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our bodies, and over
our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are
in great distress.
16-11:9 And
Joel the son of Zichri was their
overseer: and Judah the son of Senuah was
second over the city.
16-11:21 But
the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel: and Ziha and Gispa were over the Nethinims.
16-11:22 The
overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was
Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son
of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, the singers were
over the business of the house of God.
16-12:8 Moreover
the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, which was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren.
16-12:9 Also
Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, were over against them in the watches.
16-12:24 And
the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel,
with their brethren over against them, to praise
and to give thanks, according to the
commandment of David the man of God, ward over
against ward.
16-12:37 And
at the fountain gate, which was over against
them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the
wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.
16-12:38 And
the other company of them that gave thanks
went over against them, and I after them, and the half of the people upon the wall,
from beyond the tower of the furnaces even unto the broad wall;
16-12:44 And
at that time were some appointed over the
chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the
tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the
law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the
Levites that waited.
16-13:13 And
I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah
the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them
was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son
of Mattaniah: for they were counted faithful, and their office was to distribute unto their brethren.
16-13:26 Did
not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was
there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish
women cause to sin.
17-1:1 Now
it came to pass in the days of Ahasuerus, (this is Ahasuerus which reigned, from India even unto Ethiopia, over an
hundred and seven and twenty provinces:)
17-3:12 Then
were the king’s scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and
there was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the king’s
lieutenants, and to the governors that were
over every province, and to the rulers of
every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language; in
the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king’s ring.
17-5:1 Now
it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and
stood in the inner court of the king’s house, over
against the king’s house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal
house, over against the gate of the house.
17-8:2 And
the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto
Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house
of Haman.
17-9:1 Now
in the twelfth month, that is, the
month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king’s commandment and
his decree drew near to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the
Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it
was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over
them that hated them;)
18-6:5 Doth
the wild ass bray when he hath grass? or loweth the ox over
his fodder?
18-7:12 Am I a sea, or a whale, that thou
settest a watch over me?
18-14:16 For
now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over
my sin?
18-16:11 God
hath delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over
into the hands of the wicked.
18-26:7 He
stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
18-34:13 Who
hath given him a charge over the earth? or who
hath disposed the whole world?
18-41:34 He
beholdeth all high things: he is a king over
all the children of pride.
18-42:11 Then
came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that
had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house:
and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over
all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a
piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.
19-8:6 Thou
madest him to have dominion over the works of
thy hands; thou hast put all things under
his feet:
19-12:4 Who
have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
19-13:2 How
long shall I take counsel in my soul, having
sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
19-18:29 For
by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.
19-19:13 Keep
back thy servant also from presumptuous sins;
let them not have dominion over me: then
shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
19-23:5 Thou
preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my
head with oil; my cup runneth over.
19-25:2 O
my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
19-27:12 Deliver
me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for
false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
19-30:1 I
will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes
to rejoice over me.
19-35:19 Let
not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over
me: neither let them wink with the
eye that hate me without a cause.
19-35:24 Judge
me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.
19-38:4 For
mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an
heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
19-38:16 For
I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.
19-41:11 By
this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
19-42:7 Deep
calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy
billows are gone over me.
19-47:2 For
the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.
19-47:8 God
reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the
throne of his holiness.
19-49:14 Like
sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright
shall have dominion over them in the morning;
and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling.
19-60:8 Moab
is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph
thou because of me.
19-65:13 The
pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.
19-66:12 Thou
hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went
through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.
19-68:34 Ascribe
ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.
19-78:50 He
made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but gave their
life over to the pestilence;
19-78:62 He
gave his people over also unto the sword; and
was wroth with his inheritance.
19-83:18 That
men may know that thou, whose name
alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
19-88:16 Thy
fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut
me off.
19-91:11 For
he shall give his angels charge over thee, to
keep thee in all thy ways.
19-103:16 For
the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and
the place thereof shall know it no more.
19-103:19 The
LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
19-104:9 Thou
hast set a bound that they may not pass over;
that they turn not again to cover the earth.
19-106:41 And
he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.
19-108:9 Moab
is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.
19-109:6 Set
thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand
at his right hand.
19-110:6 He
shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.
19-118:18 The
LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over
unto death.
19-119:133 Order
my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
19-124:4 Then
the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over
our soul:
19-124:5 Then
the proud waters had gone over our soul.
19-145:9 The
LORD is good to all: and his tender
mercies are over
all his works.
20-17:2 A
wise servant shall have rule over a son that
causeth shame, and shall have part of the inheritance among the brethren.
20-19:10 Delight
is not seemly for a fool; much less for a servant to have rule over princes.
20-19:11 The
discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a
transgression.
20-20:26 A
wise king scattereth the wicked, and bringeth the wheel over them.
20-22:7 The
rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.
20-24:31 And,
lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face
thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.
20-25:28 He
that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken
down, and without walls.
20-28:15 As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.
21-1:12 I
the Preacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem.
21-2:19 And
who knoweth whether he shall be a wise man
or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all
my labour wherein I have laboured, and wherein I have shewed myself wise under
the sun. This is also vanity.
21-7:14 In
the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also
hath set the one over against the other, to the
end that man should find nothing after him.
21-7:16 Be
not righteous over much; neither make thyself over wise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself?
21-7:17 Be
not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish:
why shouldest thou die before thy time?
21-8:8 There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness
deliver those that are given to it.
21-8:9 All
this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the
sun: there is a time wherein one man
ruleth over another to his own hurt.
22-2:4 He
brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over
me was love.
22-2:11 For,
lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;
23-3:4 And
I will give children to be their
princes, and babes shall rule over them.
23-3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy
paths.
23-8:7 Now
therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river,
strong and many, even the king of
Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over
all his channels, and go over all his banks:
23-8:8 And
he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over,
he shall reach even to the neck; and
the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.
23-10:29 They
are gone over the passage: they have taken up
their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.
23-11:15 And
the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his
mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the
river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod.
23-14:2 And
the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of
Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids:
and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall
rule over their oppressors.
23-15:2 He
is gone up to Bajith, and to Dibon, the high places, to weep: Moab shall howl over Nebo, and over
Medeba: on all their heads shall be baldness,
and every beard cut off.
23-16:8 For
the fields of Heshbon languish, and the
vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal plants
thereof, they are come even unto
Jazer, they wandered through the
wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.
23-19:4 And
the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of
a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over
them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.
23-19:16 In
that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear
because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it.
23-22:15 Thus
saith the Lord GOD of hosts, Go, get thee unto this treasurer, even unto Shebna, which is over
the house, and say,
23-23:2 Be
still, ye inhabitants of the isle; thou whom the merchants of Zidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.
23-23:6 Pass
ye over to Tarshish; howl, ye inhabitants of the
isle.
23-23:11 He
stretched out his hand over the sea, he shook
the kingdoms: the LORD hath given a commandment against the merchant city, to destroy the strong holds
thereof.
23-23:12 And
he said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin, daughter of
Zidon: arise, pass over to Chittim; there also
shalt thou have no rest.
23-25:7 And
he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
23-26:13 O
LORD our God, other lords beside thee
have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.
23-28:19 From
the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it
pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be
a vexation only to understand the
report.
23-31:5 As
birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he
will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.
23-31:9 And
he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear,
and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in
Jerusalem.
23-35:8 And
an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of
holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it;
but it shall be for those: the
wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
23-36:3 Then
came forth unto him Eliakim, Hilkiah’s son, which was over
the house, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, Asaph’s son, the recorder.
23-36:22 Then
came Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, that was
over the household, and Shebna the scribe,
and Joah, the son of Asaph, the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.
23-37:2 And
he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the
elders of the priests covered with sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet the son
of Amoz.
23-40:19 The
workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains.
23-40:27 Why
sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and
my judgment is passed over from my God?
23-41:2 Who
raised up the righteous man from the
east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over
kings? he gave them as the dust to
his sword, and as driven stubble to
his bow.
23-45:14 Thus
saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the
Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto
thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall
come over, and they shall fall down unto thee,
they shall make supplication unto thee, saying,
Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.
23-47:2 Take
the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover
the thigh, pass over the rivers.
23-51:10 Art thou not it which hath dried the
sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way
for the ransomed to pass over?
23-51:23 But
I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy
soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou
hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.
23-52:5 Now
therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for
nought? they that rule over them make them to
howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed.
23-54:9 For
this is as the waters of Noah unto
me: for as I have sworn that the
waters of Noah should no more go over the earth;
so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
23-62:5 For
as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so
shall thy God rejoice over thee.
23-63:19 We
are thine: thou never barest rule over them; they were not called by thy name.
24-1:10 See,
I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and
to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
24-2:10 For
pass over the isles of Chittim, and see; and
send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing.
24-5:6 Wherefore
a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and
a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence
shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.
24-5:22 Fear
ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have
placed the sand for the bound of the
sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof
toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not
pass over it?
24-6:17 Also
I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will
not hearken.
24-13:21 What
wilt thou say when he shall punish thee? for thou hast taught them to be captains, and as chief over thee: shall not
sorrows take thee, as a woman in travail?
24-15:3 And
I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the
LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and
the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.
24-23:4 And
I will set up shepherds over them which shall
feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be
lacking, saith the LORD.
24-31:28 And
it shall come to pass, that like as I
have watched over them, to pluck up, and to
break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, saith the LORD.
24-31:39 And
the measuring line shall yet go forth over
against it upon the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath.
24-32:41 Yea,
I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I
will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole
soul.
24-33:26 Then
will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, so that I will not take any of
his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will
cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
24-40:5 Now
while he was not yet gone back, he said, Go
back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of
Babylon hath made governor over the cities of
Judah, and dwell with him among the people: or go wheresoever it seemeth
convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a
reward, and let him go.
24-40:11 Likewise
when all the Jews that were in Moab,
and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and that were in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left
a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over
them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan;
24-41:2 Then
arose Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and the ten men that were with him, and
smote Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan with the sword, and slew
him, whom the king of Babylon had made governor over
the land.
24-41:10 Then
Ishmael carried away captive all the residue of the people that were in Mizpah, even the king’s daughters, and all the people that remained in
Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had committed to Gedaliah the
son of Ahikam: and Ishmael the son of Nethaniah carried them away captive, and
departed to go over to the Ammonites.
24-43:10 And
say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will
send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his
throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal
pavilion over them.
24-44:27 Behold,
I will watch over them for evil, and not for
good: and all the men of Judah that are in
the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there
be an end of them.
24-48:32 O
vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with the weeping of Jazer: thy plants are
gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler is
fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage.
24-48:40 For
thus saith the LORD; Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread his
wings over Moab.
24-49:19 Behold,
he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation
of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her?
for who is like me? and who will
appoint me the time? and who is that
shepherd that will stand before me?
24-49:22 Behold,
he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread his wings over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the
mighty men of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
24-50:44 Behold,
he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan unto the habitation of
the strong: but I will make them suddenly run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her?
for who is like me? and who will
appoint me the time? and who is that
shepherd that will stand before me?
25-2:17 The
LORD hath done that which he had
devised; he hath fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old:
he hath thrown down, and hath not pitied: and he hath caused thine enemy to rejoice over thee, he hath set up the horn of thine adversaries.
25-3:54 Waters
flowed over mine head; then I said, I am cut off.
25-5:8 Servants
have ruled over us: there is none that doth deliver us
out of their hand.
26-1:20 Whithersoever
the spirit was to go, they went, thither was
their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over
against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
26-1:21 When
those went, these went; and when
those stood, these stood; and when
those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living
creature was in the wheels.
26-1:22 And
the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible
crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.
26-1:25 And
there was a voice from the firmament that was
over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.
26-1:26 And
above the firmament that was over their heads was
the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon
the likeness of the throne was the
likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.
26-3:13 I heard also the noise of the wings of
the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a great rushing.
26-9:1 He
cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.
26-10:1 Then
I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the
cherubims there appeared over them as it were a
sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.
26-10:2 And
he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine
hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over
the city. And he went in in my sight.
26-10:4 Then
the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the
house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the
brightness of the LORD’S glory.
26-10:18 Then
the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims.
26-10:19 And
the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight:
when they went out, the wheels also were beside
them, and every one stood at the door
of the east gate of the LORD’S house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over
them above.
26-11:22 Then
did the cherubims lift up their wings, and the wheels beside them; and the
glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
26-16:8 Now
when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my
skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea,
I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD,
and thou becamest mine.
26-16:27 Behold,
therefore I have stretched out my hand over
thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food,
and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of
the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.
26-19:8 Then
the nations set against him on every side from the provinces, and spread their
net over him: he was taken in their pit.
26-20:33 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely
with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out,
will I rule over you:
26-27:32 And
in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee, saying,
What city is like Tyrus, like the
destroyed in the midst of the sea?
26-29:15 It
shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more
above the nations: for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.
26-32:3 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; I will therefore spread out my net over
thee with a company of many people; and they shall bring thee up in my net.
26-32:8 All
the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over
thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord GOD.
26-32:31 Pharaoh
shall see them, and shall be comforted over all
his multitude, even Pharaoh and all
his army slain by the sword, saith the Lord GOD.
26-34:23 And
I will set up one shepherd over them, and he
shall feed them, even my servant
David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
26-37:24 And
David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they
shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.
26-40:18 And
the pavement by the side of the gates over
against the length of the gates was the
lower pavement.
26-40:23 And
the gate of the inner court was over against the gate toward the north, and toward the
east; and he measured from gate to gate an hundred cubits.
26-41:6 And
the side chambers were three, one over another, and thirty in order; and they entered
into the wall which was of the house
for the side chambers round about, that they might have hold, but they had not
hold in the wall of the house.
26-41:15 And
he measured the length of the building over
against the separate place which was behind
it, and the galleries thereof on the one side and on the other side, an hundred
cubits, with the inner temple, and the porches of the court;
26-41:16 The
door posts, and the narrow windows, and the galleries round about on their
three stories, over against the door, cieled
with wood round about, and from the ground up to the windows, and the windows were covered;
26-42:1 Then
he brought me forth into the utter court, the way toward the north: and he
brought me into the chamber that was over against the separate place, and which was before the building toward the
north.
26-42:3 Over against the twenty cubits which were for the
inner court, and over against the pavement which
was for the utter court, was gallery against gallery in three stories.
26-42:7 And
the wall that was without over against the chambers, toward the utter court on
the forepart of the chambers, the length thereof was fifty cubits.
26-42:10 The
chambers were in the thickness of the
wall of the court toward the east, over against
the separate place, and over against the
building.
26-45:6 And
ye shall appoint the possession of the city five thousand broad, and five and
twenty thousand long, over against the oblation
of the holy portion: it shall be for
the whole house of Israel.
26-45:7 And
a portion shall be for the prince on
the one side and on the other side of the oblation of the holy portion, and of the possession of the
city, before the oblation of the holy portion,
and before the possession of the city, from the west side westward, and
from the east side eastward: and the length shall
be over against one of the portions, from
the west border unto the east border.
26-46:9 But
when the people of the land shall come before the LORD in the solemn feasts, he
that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the
way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall
go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the
gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over
against it.
26-47:5 Afterward
he measured a thousand; and it was a
river that I could not pass over: for the waters
were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.
26-47:20 The
west side also shall be the great sea
from the border, till a man come over against
Hamath. This is the west side.
26-48:13 And
over against the border of the priests the
Levites shall have five and twenty
thousand in length, and ten thousand in breadth: all the length shall be five and twenty thousand, and
the breadth ten thousand.
26-48:15 And
the five thousand, that are left in the breadth over
against the five and twenty thousand, shall be a profane place for the city, for dwelling, and for suburbs: and the city
shall be in the midst thereof.
26-48:18 And
the residue in length over against the oblation
of the holy portion shall be ten
thousand eastward, and ten thousand westward: and it shall be over against the oblation of the holy portion; and the increase thereof shall
be for food unto them that serve the city.
26-48:21 And
the residue shall be for the prince,
on the one side and on the other of the holy oblation, and of the possession of
the city, over against the five and twenty
thousand of the oblation toward the east border, and westward over against the five and twenty thousand toward the
west border, over against the portions for the
prince: and it shall be the holy oblation; and the sanctuary of the house shall be in the midst thereof.
27-1:11 Then
said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,
27-2:38 And
wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of
the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.
27-2:39 And
after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third
kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all
the earth.
27-2:48 Then
the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him
ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and
chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.
27-2:49 Then
Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but
Daniel sat in the gate of the king.
27-3:12 There
are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the
affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men,
O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden
image which thou hast set up.
27-4:16 Let
his heart be changed from man’s, and let a beast’s heart be given unto him: and
let seven times pass over him.
27-4:17 This
matter is by the decree of the
watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the
living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it
to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it
the basest of men.
27-4:23 And
whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and
saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots
thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass
of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him;
27-4:25 That
they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of
the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet
thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom
of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.
27-4:32 And
they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat
grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over
thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and
giveth it to whomsoever he will.
27-5:5 In
the same hour came forth fingers of a man’s hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the
wall of the king’s palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.
27-5:21 And
he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and
his dwelling was with the wild asses:
they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven;
till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.
27-6:1 It
pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an
hundred and twenty princes, which should be over
the whole kingdom;
27-6:2 And
over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give
accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.
27-6:3 Then
this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an
excellent spirit was in him; and the
king thought to set him over the whole realm.
27-9:1 In
the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which
was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;
27-11:39 Thus
shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall
acknowledge and increase with glory:
and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall
divide the land for gain.
27-11:40 And
at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of
the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with
horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall
overflow and pass over.
27-11:43 But
he shall have power over the treasures of gold
and of silver, and over all the precious things
of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
28-10:5 The
inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Bethaven: for the
people thereof shall mourn over it, and the
priests thereof that rejoiced on it,
for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.
28-10:11 And
Ephraim is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the
corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck:
I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods.
28-12:4 Yea,
he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he
wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us;
29-2:17 Let
the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar,
and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to
reproach, that the heathen should rule over
them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?
31-1:12 But
thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he
became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither
shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.
32-2:3 For
thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed
me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over
me.
32-4:6 And
the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it
to come up over Jonah, that it might be a
shadow over his head, to deliver him from his
grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd.
33-3:6 Therefore
night shall be unto you, that ye
shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not
divine; and the sun shall go down over the
prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
33-4:7 And
I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong
nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in
mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.
34-3:19 There is no healing of thy bruise; thy
wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness
passed continually?
35-1:11 Then
shall his mind change, and he shall
pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.
35-1:14 And
makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?
35-2:19 Woe
unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall
teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.
36-3:17 The
LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty;
he will save, he will rejoice over thee with
joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over
thee with singing.
37-1:10 Therefore
the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the
earth is stayed from her fruit.
38-1:21 Then
said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up
his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the
Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.
38-5:3 Then
said he unto me, This is the curse
that goeth forth over the face of the whole
earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall
be cut off as on that side according
to it.
38-9:14 And
the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow
shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and
shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
38-14:9 And
the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in
that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
40-2:9 When
they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in
the east, went before them, till it came and stood over
where the young child was.
40-9:1 And
he entered into a ship, and passed over, and
came into his own city.
40-10:23 But
when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say
unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities
of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
40-14:34 And
when they were gone over, they came into the
land of Gennesaret.
40-20:25 But
Jesus called them unto him, and said,
Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority
upon them.
40-21:2 Saying
unto them, Go into the village over against you,
and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.
40-24:45 Who
then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
40-24:47 Verily
I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over
all his goods.
40-25:21 His
lord said unto him, Well done, thou good
and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over
a few things, I will make thee ruler over many
things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
40-25:23 His
lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been
faithful over a few things, I will make thee
ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy
of thy lord.
40-27:37 And
set up over his head his accusation written, THIS
IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
40-27:45 Now
from the sixth hour there was darkness over all
the land unto the ninth hour.
40-27:61 And
there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over
against the sepulchre.
41-4:35 And
the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
41-5:1 And
they came over unto the other side of the sea,
into the country of the Gadarenes.
41-5:21 And
when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto
the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.
41-6:7 And
he called unto him the twelve, and
began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;
41-6:53 And
when they had passed over, they came into the
land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore.
41-10:42 But
Jesus called them to him, and saith
unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority
upon them.
41-11:2 And
saith unto them, Go your way into the village over
against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied,
whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
41-12:41 And
Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how
the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
41-13:3 And
as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against
the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
41-15:26 And
the superscription of his accusation was written over,
THE KING OF THE JEWS.
41-15:33 And
when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over
the whole land until the ninth hour.
41-15:39 And
when the centurion, which stood over against
him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man
was the Son of God.
42-1:33 And
he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever;
and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
42-2:8 And
there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
42-4:10 For
it is written, He shall give his angels charge over
thee, to keep thee:
42-4:39 And
he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it
left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.
42-6:38 Give,
and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken
together, and running over, shall men give into
your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured
to you again.
42-8:22 Now
it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples:
and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the
other side of the lake. And they launched forth.
42-8:26 And
they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over
against Galilee.
42-9:1 Then
he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
42-10:19 Behold,
I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by
any means hurt you.
42-11:42 But
woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and
pass over judgment and the love of God: these
ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
42-11:44 Woe
unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear
not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.
42-12:14 And
he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?
42-12:42 And
the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
42-12:44 Of
a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over
all that he hath.
42-15:7 I
say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over
one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety
and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
42-15:10 Likewise,
I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
42-19:14 But
his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have
this man to reign over us.
42-19:17 And
he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a
very little, have thou authority over ten
cities.
42-19:19 And
he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five
cities.
42-19:27 But
those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
42-19:30 Saying,
Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye
shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.
42-19:41 And
when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over
it,
42-22:25 And
he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them
are called benefactors.
42-23:38 And
a superscription also was written over him in
letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
42-23:44 And
it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over
all the earth until the ninth hour.
43-6:1 After
these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee,
which is the sea of Tiberias.
43-6:13 Therefore
they gathered them together, and
filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which
remained over and above unto them that had
eaten.
43-6:17 And
entered into a ship, and went over the sea
toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.
43-17:2 As
thou hast given him power over all flesh, that
he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
43-18:1 When
Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the
which he entered, and his disciples.
44-6:3 Wherefore,
brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy
Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this
business.
44-7:10 And
delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the
sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.
44-7:11 Now
there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt
and Chanaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.

were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the
sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.

he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler
and a judge over us?
44-8:2 And
devout men carried Stephen to his burial,
and made great lamentation over him.
44-16:9 And
a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and
prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia,
and help us.
44-18:23 And
after he had spent some time there, he
departed, and went over all the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all
the disciples.
44-19:13 Then
certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord
Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
44-20:2 And
when he had gone over those parts, and had given
them much exhortation, he came into Greece,
44-20:15 And
we sailed thence, and came the next day over against Chios; and the next day we arrived at Samos, and tarried at Trogyllium; and the next day we came to Miletus.
44-20:28 Take
heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over
the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God,
which he hath purchased with his own blood.
44-21:2 And
finding a ship sailing over unto Phenicia, we
went aboard, and set forth.
44-27:5 And
when we had sailed over the sea of Cilicia and
Pamphylia, we came to Myra, a city of
Lycia.
44-27:7 And
when we had sailed slowly many days, and scarce were come over against Cnidus, the wind not suffering us, we
sailed under Crete, over against Salmone;
45-1:28 And
even as they did not like to retain God in their
knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate
mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
45-5:14 Nevertheless
death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them
that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the
figure of him that was to come.
45-6:9 Knowing
that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more
dominion over him.
45-6:14 For
sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are
not under the law, but under grace.
45-7:1 Know
ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law
hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
45-9:5 Whose
are the fathers, and of whom as
concerning the flesh Christ came, who
is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
45-9:21 Hath
not the potter power over the clay, of the same
lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
45-10:12 For
there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
45-15:12 And
again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to
reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the
Gentiles trust.
46-7:37 Nevertheless
he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart
that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.
46-9:12 If
others be partakers of this power over you, are not
we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things,
lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.
47-1:24 Not
for that we have dominion over your faith, but
are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.
47-3:13 And
not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not
stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
47-8:15 As
it is written, He that had gathered much
had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.
47-11:2 For
I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I
have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
49-1:22 And
hath put all things under his feet,
and gave him to be the head over all things to
the church,
49-4:19 Who
being past feeling have given themselves over
unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
51-2:15 And having spoiled principalities and
powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over
them in it.
52-3:7 Therefore,
brethren, we were comforted over you in all our
affliction and distress by your faith:
52-5:12 And
we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
54-2:12 But
I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over
the man, but to be in silence.
58-2:7 Thou
madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and
honour, and didst set him over the works of thy
hands:
58-3:6 But
Christ as a son over his own house; whose house
are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto
the end.
58-9:5 And
over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the
mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.
58-10:21 And
having an high priest over the house of God;
58-13:7 Remember
them which have the rule over you, who have
spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
58-13:17 Obey
them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves:
for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do
it with joy, and not with grief: for that is
unprofitable for you.
58-13:24 Salute
all them that have the rule over you, and all
the saints. They of Italy salute you.
59-5:14 Is
any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them
pray over him, anointing him with oil in the
name of the Lord:
60-3:12 For
the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
60-5:3 Neither
as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves
over to fornication, and going after strange
flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
66-2:26 And
he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power
over the nations:
66-6:8 And
I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and
Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over
the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death,
and with the beasts of the earth.
66-9:11 And
they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew
tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek
tongue hath his name Apollyon.

have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and
have power over waters to turn them to blood,
and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
66-11:10 And
they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over
them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two
prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and
power was given him over all kindreds, and
tongues, and nations.

another angel came out from the altar, which had power over
fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying,
Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth;
for her grapes are fully ripe.
66-15:2 And
I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the
victory over the beast, and over his image, and over
his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the
harps of God.
66-16:9 And
men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath
power over these plagues: and they repented not
to give him glory.

the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
66-18:11 And
the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over
her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
66-18:20 Rejoice
over her, thou
heaven, and ye holy apostles and
prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
