R,370 rest
01-8:9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto
him into the ark, for the waters were on
the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and
pulled her in unto him into the ark.
01-18:4 Let a little water, I pray you, be
fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves
under the tree:
01-30:36 And he set three days’ journey
betwixt himself and Jacob: and Jacob fed the rest
of Laban’s flocks.
01-49:15 And he saw that rest was good,
and the land that it was pleasant;
and bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.
02-5:5 And
Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from
their burdens.
02-16:23 And
he said unto them, This is that which
the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe;
and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
02-23:11 But
the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may
eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou
shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with
thy oliveyard.
02-23:12 Six
days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger,
may be refreshed.
02-28:10 Six
of their names on one stone, and the
other six names of the rest on the other
stone, according to their birth.
02-31:15 Six
days may work be done; but in the seventh is
the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD:
whosoever doeth any work in the
sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
02-33:14 And
he said, My presence shall go with thee, and
I will give thee rest.
02-34:21 Six
days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.
02-35:2 Six
days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy
day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever
doeth work therein shall be put to death.
03-5:9 And he shall sprinkle of the blood
of the sin offering upon the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be wrung out at the bottom of the altar: it
is a sin offering.
03-14:17 And of the rest
of the oil that is in his hand shall the
priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and
upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot,
upon the blood of the trespass offering:
03-14:29 And the rest
of the oil that is in the priest’s
hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make an
atonement for him before the LORD.
03-16:31 It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you,
and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever.
03-23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the
seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
03-23:32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest,
and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate
your sabbath.
03-25:4 But in the seventh year shall be a
sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the
LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.
03-25:5 That which groweth of its own accord
of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine
undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land.
03-26:34 Then shall the land enjoy her
sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies’ land; even
then shall the land rest, and enjoy her
sabbaths.
03-26:35 As long as it lieth desolate it shall
rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.
04-31:8 And they slew the kings of Midian,
beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur,
and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the
sword.
04-31:32 And the booty, being the rest of the prey which the
men of war had caught, was six hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five
thousand sheep.
05-3:13 And the rest
of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom
of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with
all Bashan, which was called the land of giants.
05-3:20 Until the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also possess the land which
the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have
given you.
05-5:14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou,
nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor
thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant
and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
05-12:9 For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God
giveth you.
05-12:10 But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your
God giveth you to inherit, and when he
giveth you rest from all your enemies round
about, so that ye dwell in safety;
05-25:19 Therefore it shall be, when the LORD
thy God hath given thee rest from all thine
enemies round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance
of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.
05-28:65 And among these nations shalt thou
find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest:
but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and
sorrow of mind:
06-1:13 Remember the word which Moses the
servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.
06-1:15 Until the LORD have given your
brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the
LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your
possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD’S servant gave you on this side
Jordan toward the sunrising.
06-3:13 And it shall come to pass, as soon
as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord
of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of
Jordan, that the waters of Jordan
shall be cut off from the waters that
come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap.
06-10:20 And it came to pass, when Joshua and
the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very great
slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest
which remained of them entered into
fenced cities.
06-13:27 And in the valley, Betharam, and
Bethnimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of
the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, Jordan and his border, even unto the
edge of the sea of Chinnereth on the other side Jordan eastward.
06-14:15 And the name of Hebron before was Kirjatharba; which Arba was a great man among the Anakims. And the land had rest from war.
06-17:2 There was also a lot for the rest of the children of
Manasseh by their families; for the children of Abiezer, and for the children
of Helek, and for the children of Asriel, and for the children of Shechem, and
for the children of Hepher, and for the children of Shemida: these were the male children of Manasseh the
son of Joseph by their families.
06-17:6 Because the daughters of Manasseh
had an inheritance among his sons: and the rest
of Manasseh’s sons had the land of Gilead.
06-21:5 And the rest
of the children of Kohath had by lot
out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and
out of the half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
06-21:34 And unto the families of the children
of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the
tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with her suburbs, and Kartah with her suburbs,
06-21:44 And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto
their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the
LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
06-22:4 And now the LORD your God hath given
rest unto your brethren, as he promised them:
therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents, and unto the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of
the LORD gave you on the other side Jordan.
06-23:1 And it came to pass a long time
after that the LORD had given rest unto Israel
from all their enemies round about, that Joshua waxed old and stricken in age.
07-3:11 And the land had rest forty years. And Othniel the son of Kenaz died.
07-3:30 So Moab was subdued that day under
the hand of Israel. And the land had rest
fourscore years.
07-5:31 So let all thine enemies perish, O
LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his
might. And the land had rest forty years.
07-7:6 And the number of them that lapped,
putting their hand to their mouth,
were three hundred men: but all the rest of the
people bowed down upon their knees to drink water.
07-7:8 So the people took victuals in
their hand, and their trumpets: and he sent all the rest of Israel every man unto
his tent, and retained those three hundred men: and the host of Midian was
beneath him in the valley.
08-1:9 The LORD grant you that ye may find
rest, each of
you in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them; and they lifted up
their voice, and wept.
08-3:1 Then Naomi her mother in law said
unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for
thee, that it may be well with thee?
08-3:18 Then said she, Sit still, my
daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.
09-13:2 Saul chose him three thousand men of Israel; whereof two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in mount
Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin: and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent.
09-15:15 And Saul said, They have brought them
from the Amalekites: for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen,
to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God; and the rest
we have utterly destroyed.
10-3:29 Let it rest
on the head of Joab, and on all his father’s house; and let there not fail from
the house of Joab one that hath an issue, or that is a leper, or that leaneth
on a staff, or that falleth on the sword, or that lacketh bread.
10-7:1 And it came to pass, when the king
sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest
round about from all his enemies;
10-7:11 And as since the time that I
commanded judges to be over my people
Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all
thine enemies. Also the LORD telleth thee that he will make thee an house.
10-10:10 And the rest
of the people he delivered into the hand of Abishai his brother, that he might
put them in array against the
children of Ammon.
10-12:28 Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and encamp against the
city, and take it: lest I take the city, and it be called after my name.
10-21:10 And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took
sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest
until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of
the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts
of the field by night.
11-5:4 But now the LORD my God hath given
me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.
11-8:56 Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest
unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not
failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses
his servant.

of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the

inner chamber.

on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before
him.

even from Millo round about: and Joab repaired the rest
of the city.

rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel:
and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.

the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by

of Ammon.
13-22:9 Behold, a son shall be born to thee,
who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name
shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.
13-22:18 Is
not the LORD your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side?
for he hath given the inhabitants of the land into mine hand; and the land is
subdued before the LORD, and before his people.
13-23:25 For David said, The LORD God of
Israel hath given rest unto his people, that
they may dwell in Jerusalem for ever:
13-24:20 And the rest
of the sons of Levi were these: Of
the sons of Amram; Shubael: of the sons of Shubael; Jehdeiah.
13-28:2 Then David the king stood up upon
his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine
heart to build an house of rest for the ark of
the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready
for the building:
14-9:29 Now the rest
of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are
they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of
Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the

14-14:6 And he built fenced cities in Judah:
for the land had rest, and he had no war in those
years; because the LORD had given him rest.
14-14:7 Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us
build these cities, and make about them walls,
and towers, gates, and bars, while the
land is yet before us; because we
have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on
every side. So they built and prospered.
14-14:11 And Asa cried unto the LORD his God,
and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee
to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD
our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we
go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art
our God; let not man prevail against thee.
14-15:15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath:
for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole
desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.
14-20:30 So the realm of Jehoshaphat was
quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.

Judah and Israel.

and Israel.

Israel.

of the acts of Josiah, and his goodness, according to that which was written in the law of the LORD,
14-36:8 Now the rest
of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was
found in him, behold, they are written
in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in
his stead.
15-4:3 But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the
rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said
unto them, Ye have nothing to do with us to build an house unto our God; but we
ourselves together will build unto the LORD God of Israel, as king Cyrus the
king of Persia hath commanded us.
15-4:7 And in the days of Artaxerxes wrote
Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeel, and the rest of
their companions, unto Artaxerxes king of Persia; and the writing of the letter
was written in the Syrian tongue, and
interpreted in the Syrian tongue.
15-4:9 Then wrote Rehum the chancellor, and Shimshai the scribe, and the rest of their companions; the Dinaites, the
Apharsathchites, the Tarpelites, the Apharsites, the Archevites, the
Babylonians, the Susanchites, the Dehavites, and the Elamites,
15-4:10 And the rest
of the nations whom the great and noble Asnapper brought over, and set in the
cities of Samaria, and the rest that are on this side the river, and at
such a time.
15-4:17 Then
sent the king an answer unto Rehum the chancellor, and to Shimshai the scribe, and to
the rest of their companions that dwell in
Samaria, and unto the rest beyond the river, Peace, and at such a time.
15-6:16 And the children of Israel, the
priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the
children of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy,

thee, and to thy brethren, to do with the rest

16-2:16 And the rulers knew not whither I
went, or what I did; neither had I as yet told it to the Jews, nor to the priests, nor to the nobles, nor to the
rulers, nor to the rest that did the work.
16-4:14 And I looked, and rose up, and said
unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest
of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for
your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.
16-4:19 And I said unto the nobles, and to
the rulers, and to the rest of the people, The
work is great and large, and we are
separated upon the wall, one far from another.
16-6:1 Now it came to pass, when
Sanballat, and Tobiah, and Geshem the Arabian, and the rest
of our enemies, heard that I had builded the wall, and that there was no breach left therein; (though at that time I had
not set up the doors upon the gates;)
16-6:14 My God, think thou upon Tobiah and
Sanballat according to these their works, and on the prophetess Noadiah, and
the rest of the prophets, that would have put me
in fear.
16-7:72 And that which the rest of the people
gave was twenty thousand drams of
gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests’
garments.

leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over
them: yet when they returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and many times didst
thou deliver them according to thy mercies;
16-10:28 And the rest
of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the
Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the
lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every

at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast
lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other cities.

palace, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the rest of the king’s provinces? now what is thy petition? and it shall be granted
thee: or what is thy request further?
and it shall be done.

together, and stood for their lives, and had rest
from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, but they
laid not their hands on the prey,

safety.

with thy hid treasure: they are full
of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.

in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who

at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy
companions?

of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the
Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to
serve.

quiet: they break forth into singing.
