40-27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried
with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast
thou forsaken me?
41-15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice,
saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?
which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

45-9:29 And as Esaias said before, Except
the Lord of Sabaoth had
left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha.
59-5:4 Behold, the hire of the labourers
who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth:
and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord
of sabaoth.

02-16:23 And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To
morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe;
and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
02-16:25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for
to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in
the field.
02-16:26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on
the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.
02-16:29 See, for that the LORD hath given you
the sabbath,
therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every
man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
02-20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
02-20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy
daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger
that is within thy gates:
02-20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that
in them is, and rested the seventh
day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
02-31:14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that
defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut
off from among his people.
02-31:15 Six days may work be done; but in the
seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD:
whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put
to death.
02-31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel
shall keep the sabbath, to
observe the sabbath
throughout their generations, for a
perpetual covenant.
02-35:2 Six days shall work be done, but on
the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work
therein shall be put to death.
02-35:3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout
your habitations upon the sabbath day.
03-16:31 It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your
souls, by a statute for ever.
03-23:3 Six days
shall work be done: but the seventh day is
the sabbath of
rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your
dwellings.
03-23:11 And he
shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow
after the sabbath the
priest shall wave it.
03-23:15 And ye
shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the
wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
03-23:16 Even unto
the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer
a new meat offering unto the LORD.
03-23:24 Speak unto
the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of
trumpets, an holy convocation.
03-23:32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall
afflict your souls: in the ninth day of
the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.
03-23:39 Also in
the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of
the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
03-24:8 Every sabbath he shall set it in order
before the LORD continually, being taken from
the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.
03-25:2 Speak
unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land
which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD.
03-25:4 But in
the seventh year shall be a sabbath of
rest unto the land, a sabbath for
the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.
03-25:6 And the sabbath of the land shall be meat
for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired
servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee,
04-15:32 And while
the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered
sticks upon the sabbath day.
04-28:9 And on
the sabbath day
two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil,
and the drink offering thereof:
04-28:10 This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, beside the continual burnt
offering, and his drink offering.
05-5:12 Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the
LORD thy God hath commanded thee.
05-5:14 But the
seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou,
nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor
thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant
and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
05-5:15 And
remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out
thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy
God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
12-4:23 And
he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.
12-11:5 And
he commanded them, saying, This is the
thing that ye shall do; A third part of you that enter in on the sabbath shall even be keepers of
the watch of the king’s house;
12-11:7 And
two parts of all you that go forth on the sabbath, even they shall keep the watch of the house of
the LORD about the king.
12-11:9 And
the captains over the hundreds did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest commanded: and they took every man
his men that were to come in on the sabbath, with them that should go out on the sabbath, and came to Jehoiada the
priest.
12-16:18 And
the covert for the sabbath that
they had built in the house, and the king’s entry without, turned he from the
house of the LORD for the king of Assyria.
13-9:32 And
other of their brethren, of the sons
of the Kohathites, were over the
shewbread, to prepare it every sabbath.
14-23:4 This
is the thing that ye shall do; A
third part of you entering on the sabbath, of the priests and of the Levites, shall be porters of the doors;
14-23:8 So
the Levites and all Judah did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest
had commanded, and took every man his men that were to come in on the sabbath, with them that were to go out on the sabbath: for Jehoiada the priest dismissed not the
courses.
14-36:21 To
fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had
enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as
she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to
fulfil threescore and ten years.
16-9:14 And
madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and
laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:
16-10:31 And
if the people of the land bring ware
or any victuals on the sabbath day
to sell, that we would not buy it of
them on the sabbath, or
on the holy day: and that we would
leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.
16-13:15 In
those days saw I in Judah some treading
wine presses on the sabbath, and
bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought
into Jerusalem on the sabbath day:
and I testified against them in the
day wherein they sold victuals.
16-13:16 There
dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and
sold on the sabbath unto
the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.
16-13:17 Then
I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?
16-13:18 Did
not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and
upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath.
16-13:19 And
it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates
should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day.
16-13:21 Then
I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge ye about the wall? if
ye do so again, I will lay hands on
you. From that time forth came they no more
on the sabbath.
16-13:22 And
I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God,
concerning this also, and spare me
according to the greatness of thy mercy.
19-92:title A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day.
23-56:2 Blessed
is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from
doing any evil.
23-56:6 Also
the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and
to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and
taketh hold of my covenant;
23-58:13 If
thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing
thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable;
and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure,
nor speaking thine own words:
23-66:23 And
it shall come to pass, that from one
new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship
before me, saith the LORD.
24-17:21 Thus
saith the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;
24-17:22 Neither
carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your
fathers.
24-17:24 And
it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the LORD, to
bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;
24-17:27 But
if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in
at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates
thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be
quenched.
26-46:1 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east
shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new
moon it shall be opened.
26-46:4 And
the burnt offering that the prince shall offer unto the LORD in the sabbath day shall be six lambs without blemish, and a ram without blemish.
26-46:12 Now
when the prince shall prepare a voluntary burnt offering or peace offerings
voluntarily unto the LORD, one shall
then open him the gate that looketh toward the east, and he shall prepare his
burnt offering and his peace offerings, as he did on the sabbath day: then he shall go
forth; and after his going forth one shall
shut the gate.
30-8:5 Saying,
When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth
wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the
balances by deceit?
40-12:1 At that
time Jesus went on the sabbath day
through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the
ears of corn, and to eat.
40-12:2 But when
the Pharisees saw it, they said unto
him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
40-12:5 Or have
ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
40-12:8 For the
Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
40-12:10 And,
behold, there was a man which had his hand
withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might
accuse him.
40-12:11 And he
said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep,
and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
40-12:12 How much
then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
40-24:20 But pray
ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
40-28:1 In the
end of the sabbath, as
it began to dawn toward the first day of
the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
41-1:21 And they
went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.
41-2:23 And it
came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began,
as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.
41-2:24 And the
Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?
41-2:27 And he
said unto them, The sabbath was
made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
41-2:28 Therefore
the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
41-3:2 And they
watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.
41-3:4 And he
saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill?
But they held their peace.
41-6:2 And when
the sabbath day
was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence
hath this man these things? and what
wisdom is this which is given unto
him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
41-15:42 And now
when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before
the sabbath,
41-16:1 And when
the sabbath was
past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother
of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and
anoint him.
42-4:16 And he
came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went
into the synagogue on the sabbath day,
and stood up for to read.
42-4:31 And came
down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.
42-6:1 And it came
to pass on the second sabbath
after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples
plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.
42-6:2 And
certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to
do on the sabbath
days?
42-6:5 And he
said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
42-6:6 And it
came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught:
and there was a man whose right hand was withered.
42-6:7 And the
scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find
an accusation against him.
42-6:9 Then
said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do
evil? to save life, or to destroy it?
42-13:10 And he was
teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
42-13:14 And the
ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed
on the sabbath day,
and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in
them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
42-13:15 The Lord
then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite,
doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
42-13:16 And ought
not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these
eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
42-14:1 And it
came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat
bread on the sabbath day,
that they watched him.
42-14:3 And Jesus
answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on
the sabbath day?
42-14:5 And
answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a
pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?
42-23:54 And that
day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.
42-23:56 And they
returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the
commandment.
43-5:9 And
immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the
same day was the sabbath.
43-5:10 The Jews
therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
43-5:16 And therefore
did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these
things on the sabbath day.
43-5:18 Therefore
the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was
his Father, making himself equal with God.
43-7:22 Moses
therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the
fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day
circumcise a man.
43-7:23 If a man
on the sabbath day
receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry
at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?
43-9:14 And it
was the sabbath day
when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.
43-9:16 Therefore
said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a
man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
43-19:31 The Jews
therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain
upon the cross on the sabbath day,
(for that sabbath day
was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
44-1:12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called
Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.
44-13:14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in
Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.
44-13:27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers,
because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read
every sabbath day,
they have fulfilled them in
condemning him.
44-13:42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the
Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
44-13:44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear
the word of God.
44-15:21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach
him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
44-16:13 And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where
prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which
resorted thither.
44-17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three
sabbath days reasoned with them out
of the scriptures,
44-18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and
the Greeks.
51-2:16 Let no man
therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of
the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
_______________________________________________________________________
02-31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of
Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye
shall keep: for it is a sign between me
and you throughout your generations; that ye
may know that I am the LORD that
doth sanctify you.
03-19:3 Ye shall fear
every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the
LORD your God.
03-19:30 Ye shall
keep my sabbaths,
and reverence my sanctuary: I am the
LORD.
03-23:15 And ye
shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye
brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
03-23:38 Beside the
sabbaths of the LORD, and beside
your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings,
which ye give unto the LORD.
03-25:8 And thou
shalt number seven sabbaths of
years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto
thee forty and nine years.
03-26:2 Ye shall
keep my sabbaths,
and reverence my sanctuary: I am the
LORD.
03-26:34 Then shall
the land enjoy her sabbaths, as
long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in
your enemies’ land; even then shall
the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.
03-26:35 As long as
it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.
03-26:43 The land
also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and
they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because
they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.
13-23:31 And
to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by
number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the
LORD:
14-2:4 Behold,
I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual
shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and
on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel.
14-8:13 Even
after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses,
on the sabbaths,
and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread,
and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
14-31:3 He appointed also the king’s portion of
his substance for the burnt offerings, to
wit, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings
for the sabbaths,
and for the new moons, and for the set feasts, as it is written in the law of the LORD.
14-36:21 To
fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had
enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept
sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.
16-10:33 For
the shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt
offering, of the sabbaths, of
the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel,
and for all the work of the house of
our God.
23-1:13 Bring
no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of
assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity,
even the solemn meeting.
23-56:4 For
thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
25-1:7 Jerusalem
remembered in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant
things that she had in the days of old, when her people fell into the hand of
the enemy, and none did help her: the adversaries saw her, and did mock at her sabbaths.
25-2:6 And
he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he hath destroyed his places of the
assembly: the LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in
the indignation of his anger the king and the priest.
26-20:12 Moreover
also I gave them my sabbaths, to
be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.
26-20:13 But
the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in
my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted:
then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume
them.
26-20:16 Because
they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went
after their idols.
26-20:20 And
hallow my sabbaths;
and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.
26-20:21 Notwithstanding
the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept
my judgments to do them, which if a
man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon
them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.
26-20:24 Because
they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had
polluted my sabbaths,
and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols.
26-22:8 Thou
hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.
26-22:26 Her
priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put
no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the
clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.
26-23:38 Moreover
this they have done unto me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day,
and have profaned my sabbaths.
26-44:24 And
in controversy they shall stand in judgment; and they shall judge it according to my judgments: and they shall
keep my laws and my statutes in all mine assemblies; and they shall hallow my sabbaths.
26-45:17 And
it shall be the prince’s part to give burnt
offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the
new moons, and in the sabbaths, in
all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and
the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make
reconciliation for the house of Israel.
26-46:3 Likewise
the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD
in the sabbaths and
in the new moons.
28-2:11 I
will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn
feasts.

18-1:15 And
the Sabeans fell
upon them, and took them away; yea,
they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped
alone to tell thee.
23-45:14 Thus
saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come
over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains
they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make
supplication unto thee, saying, Surely
God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.
26-23:42 And
a voice of a multitude being at ease was with
her: and with the men of the common sort were
brought Sabeans from
the wilderness, which put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon
their heads.

I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of
Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath spoken it.

01-42:25 Then
Joseph commanded to fill their sacks with corn, and to restore every man’s
money into his sack, and to give them provision
for the way: and thus did he unto them.
01-42:27 And as one
of them opened his sack to give his ass
provender in the inn, he espied his money; for, behold, it was in his sack’s mouth.
01-42:28 And he
said unto his brethren, My money is restored; and, lo, it is even in my sack: and their
heart failed them, and they were
afraid, saying one to another, What is this
that God hath done unto us?
01-42:35 And it
came to pass as they emptied their sacks, that, behold, every man’s bundle of
money was in his sack: and when both
they and their father saw the bundles of money, they were afraid.
01-43:21 And it
came to pass, when we came to the inn, that we opened our sacks, and, behold, every man’s money was in the mouth of his sack, our
money in full weight: and we have brought it again in our hand.
01-44:11 Then they
speedily took down every man his sack to the
ground, and opened every man his sack.
01-44:12 And he
searched, and began at the eldest,
and left at the youngest: and the cup was found in Benjamin’s sack.
03-11:32 And upon
whatsoever any of them, when they are
dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work
is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so
it shall be cleansed.

my cup, the silver cup, in the sack’s mouth of
the youngest, and his corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph

27-DANIEL
27-3:5 That at what time ye hear the sound of
the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery,
dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image
that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:
27-3:7 Therefore
at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the
people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had
set up.
27-3:10 Thou,
O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the
cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and
dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden
image:
27-3:15 Now
if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of
musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be
cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out
of my hands?

Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and

11-20:31 And
his servants said unto him, Behold now, we have heard that the kings of the
house of Israel are merciful kings:
let us, I pray thee, put sackcloth on our loins,
and ropes upon our heads, and go out to the king of Israel: peradventure he
will save thy life.
11-20:32 So
they girded sackcloth on their loins, and put ropes on their heads, and came to
the king of Israel, and said, Thy servant Benhadad saith, I pray thee, let me
live. And he said, Is he yet alive?
he is my brother.

and went into the house of the LORD.

he sent Eliakim, which was over the
household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.
13-21:16 And
David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of the LORD stand between the earth
and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem.
Then David and the elders of Israel, who
were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their
faces.
17-4:1 When
Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of
the city, and cried with a loud and a bitter cry;

came even before the king’s gate: for none might
enter into the king’s gate clothed with sackcloth.
17-4:3 And
in every province, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the Jews,
and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth
and ashes.

Esther’s maids and her chamberlains came and told it her. Then was the queen exceedingly grieved; and she sent

from him: but he received it not.

have sewed sackcloth upon my skin, and defiled
my horn in the dust.
19-30:11 Thou
hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
19-35:13 But
as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was
sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting;
and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.
19-69:11 I
made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a
proverb to them.
23-3:24 And
it shall come to pass, that instead
of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and
instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning
instead of beauty.
23-15:3 In
their streets they shall gird themselves with sackcloth:
on the tops of their houses, and in their streets, every one shall howl,
weeping abundantly.
23-20:2 At
the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose
the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off
thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.
23-22:12 And
in that day did the Lord GOD of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to
baldness, and to girding with sackcloth:
23-32:11 Tremble,
ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make
you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your
loins.
23-37:1 And
it came to pass, when king Hezekiah heard it,
that he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth,
and went into the house of the LORD.

he sent Eliakim, who was over the
household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests covered with sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.
23-50:3 I
clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth
their covering.
23-58:5 Is
it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush,
and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast,
and an acceptable day to the LORD?
24-4:8 For
this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl:
for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.
24-6:26 O
daughter of my people, gird thee with
sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make
thee mourning, as for an only son, most
bitter lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us.
24-48:37 For
every head shall be bald, and every
beard clipped: upon all the hands shall
be cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.
24-49:3 Howl,
O Heshbon, for Ai is spoiled: cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird you with sackcloth; lament, and run to and fro by the hedges;
for their king shall go into captivity, and
his priests and his princes together.
25-2:10 The
elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, and keep silence: they have cast up dust upon their heads; they
have girded themselves with sackcloth: the
virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.
26-7:18 They
shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness
upon all their heads.
26-27:31 And
they shall make themselves utterly bald for thee, and gird them with sackcloth, and they shall weep for thee with
bitterness of heart and bitter
wailing.
27-9:3 And
I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with
fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
29-1:8 Lament
like a virgin girded with sackcloth for the
husband of her youth.
29-1:13 Gird
yourselves, and lament, ye priests: howl, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie
all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God:
for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of
your God.
30-8:10 And
I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and
I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and
baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter
day.
32-3:5 So
the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least
of them.

word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid
his robe from him, and covered him with
sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and
cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from
the violence that is in their hands.
40-11:21 Woe unto
thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were
done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago
in sackcloth and ashes.
42-10:13 Woe unto
thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done
in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago
repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
66-6:12 And I
beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great
earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth
of hair, and the moon became as blood;
66-11:3 And I
will give power unto my two
witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

01-42:35 And it
came to pass as they emptied their sacks, that,
behold, every man’s bundle of money was in
his sack: and when both they and
their father saw the bundles of money, they were afraid.
01-43:12 And take
double money in your hand; and the money that was brought again in the mouth of
your sacks, carry it again in your hand; peradventure it was an oversight:
01-43:18 And the
men were afraid, because they were brought into Joseph’s house; and they said,
Because of the money that was returned in our sacks
at the first time are we brought in; that he may seek occasion against us, and
fall upon us, and take us for bondmen, and our asses.
01-43:21 And it
came to pass, when we came to the inn, that we opened our sacks, and, behold, every man’s money was in
the mouth of his sack, our money in full weight: and we have brought it again
in our hand.
01-43:22 And other
money have we brought down in our hands to buy food: we cannot tell who put our
money in our sacks.
01-43:23 And he
said, Peace be to you, fear not: your
God, and the God of your father, hath given you treasure in your sacks: I had your money. And he brought Simeon out
unto them.

commanded the steward of his house, saying, Fill the men’s sacks with food,
as much as they can carry, and put every man’s money in his sack’s mouth.

work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles, old, and
rent, and bound up;

01-44:8 Behold,
the money, which we found in our sacks’ mouths,
we brought again unto thee out of the land of Canaan: how then should we steal
out of thy lord’s house silver or gold?
