01-GENESIS
01-1:17 And
God set them in the firmament of the heaven to
give light upon the earth,
01-4:15 And
the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be
taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark
upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.
01-6:16 A
window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above;
and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the
side thereof; with lower, second, and
third stories shalt thou make it.
01-9:13 I
do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for
a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
01-17:21 But
my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at
this set time in the next year.
01-18:8 And
he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before
them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.
01-19:16 And
while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his
wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him:
and they brought him forth, and set him without
the city.
01-21:2 For
Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
01-21:28 And
Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by
themselves.
01-21:29 And
Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these
seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by
themselves?
01-24:33 And
there was set meat before him to eat: but he said, I will not eat, until I have
told mine errand. And he said, Speak on.
01-28:11 And
he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun
was set; and he took of the stones of that
place, and put them for his pillows,
and lay down in that place to sleep.
01-28:12 And
he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the
earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God
ascending and descending on it.
01-28:18 And
Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a
pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.
01-28:22 And
this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and
of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.
01-30:36 And
he set three days’ journey betwixt himself and
Jacob: and Jacob fed the rest of Laban’s flocks.
01-30:38 And
he set the rods which he had pilled before the
flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink,
that they should conceive when they came to drink.
01-30:40 And
Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces
of the flocks toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban;
and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban’s cattle.
01-31:17 Then
Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives
upon camels;
01-31:21 So
he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the river, and set his face toward
the mount Gilead.
01-31:37 Whereas
thou hast searched all my stuff, what hast thou found of all thy household
stuff? set it
here before my brethren and thy brethren, that they may judge betwixt us
both.
01-31:45 And
Jacob took a stone, and set it up for a pillar.
01-35:14 And
Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he
talked with him, even a pillar of
stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon.
01-35:20 And
Jacob set a pillar upon her grave: that is the pillar of Rachel’s grave unto
this day.
01-41:33 Now
therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.
01-41:41 And
Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee
over all the land of Egypt.
01-43:9 I
will be surety for him; of my hand shalt thou require him: if I bring him not
unto thee, and set him before thee, then let me
bear the blame for ever:
01-43:31 And
he washed his face, and went out, and refrained himself, and said, Set on bread.
01-43:32 And
they set on for him by himself, and for them by
themselves, and for the Egyptians, which did eat with him, by themselves:
because the Egyptians might not eat bread with the Hebrews; for that is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
01-44:21 And
thou saidst unto thy servants, Bring him down unto me, that I may set mine eyes upon him.
01-47:7 And
Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him
before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.
01-48:20 And
he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make
thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set
Ephraim before Manasseh.
02-1:11 Therefore
they did set over them taskmasters to afflict
them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and
Raamses.
02-4:20 And
Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them
upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod of
God in his hand.
02-5:14 And
the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making
brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?
02-7:23 And
Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set
his heart to this also.
02-9:5 And
the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow
the LORD shall do this thing in the land.
02-13:12 That
thou shalt set apart unto the LORD all that
openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast;
the males shall be the LORD’S.
02-19:12 And
thou shalt set bounds unto the people round
about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that
ye go not up into the mount, or
touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to
death:
02-19:23 And
Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for thou
chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the
mount, and sanctify it.
02-21:1 Now
these are the judgments which thou
shalt set before them.
02-23:31 And
I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto
the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will
deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out
before thee.
02-25:7 Onyx
stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and
in the breastplate.
02-25:30 And
thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before
me alway.
02-26:17 Two
tenons shall there be in one board, set in order one against another: thus shalt thou make
for all the boards of the tabernacle.
02-26:35 And
thou shalt set the table without the vail, and
the candlestick over against the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the
south: and thou shalt put the table on the north side.
02-28:11 With
the work of an engraver in stone, like the
engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones with the names of the
children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be set
in ouches of gold.
02-28:17 And
thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row.
02-28:20 And
the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their inclosings.
02-31:5 And
in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work
in all manner of workmanship.
02-32:22 And
Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that
they are set
on mischief.
02-35:9 And
onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod,
and for the breastplate.
02-35:27 And
the rulers brought onyx stones, and stones to be set,
for the ephod, and for the breastplate;
02-35:33 And
in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make
any manner of cunning work.
02-37:3 And
he cast for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it; even two rings upon
the one side of it, and two rings upon the other side of it.
02-39:10 And
they set in it four rows of stones: the first row was a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this was the first row.
02-39:37 The
pure candlestick, with the lamps
thereof, even with the lamps to be set in order, and all the vessels thereof, and the oil
for light,
02-40:2 On
the first day of the first month shalt thou set
up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.
02-40:4 And
thou shalt bring in the table, and set in order
the things that are to be set in order upon it;
and thou shalt bring in the candlestick, and light the lamps thereof.
02-40:5 And
thou shalt set the altar of gold for the incense
before the ark of the testimony, and put the hanging of the door to the
tabernacle.
02-40:6 And
thou shalt set the altar of the burnt offering
before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.
02-40:7 And
thou shalt set the laver between the tent of the
congregation and the altar, and shalt put water therein.
02-40:8 And
thou shalt set up the court round about, and hang
up the hanging at the court gate.
02-40:18 And
Moses reared up the tabernacle, and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars
thereof, and reared up his pillars.
02-40:20 And
he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set
the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:
02-40:21 And
he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set
up the vail of the covering, and covered the ark of the testimony; as the LORD
commanded Moses.
02-40:23 And
he set the bread in order upon it before the
LORD; as the LORD had commanded Moses.
02-40:28 And
he set up the hanging at the door of the tabernacle.
02-40:30 And
he set the laver between the tent of the
congregation and the altar, and put water there, to wash withal.
02-40:33 And
he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate. So Moses
finished the work.
03-17:10 And
whatsoever man there be of the house of
Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of
blood; I will even set my face against that soul
that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.
03-20:3 And
I will set my face against that man, and will
cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto
Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.
03-20:5 Then
I will set my face against that man, and against
his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to
commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.
03-20:6 And
the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards,
to go a whoring after them, I will even set my
face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
03-24:6 And
thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row,
upon the pure table before the LORD.
03-24:8 Every
sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD
continually, being taken from the
children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.
03-26:1 Ye
shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image,
neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.
03-26:11 And
I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul
shall not abhor you.
03-26:17 And
I will set my face against you, and ye shall be
slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye
shall flee when none pursueth you.
04-1:51 And
when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when
the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set
it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
04-2:9 All
that were numbered in the camp of Judah were
an hundred thousand and fourscore thousand and six thousand and four
hundred, throughout their armies. These shall first set
forth.
04-2:16 All
that were numbered in the camp of Reuben were
an hundred thousand and fifty and one thousand and four hundred and fifty,
throughout their armies. And they shall set
forth in the second rank.
04-2:17 Then
the tabernacle of the congregation shall set
forward with the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camp: as they encamp, so
shall they set forward, every man in his place
by their standards.
04-2:34 And
the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses: so
they pitched by their standards, and so they set
forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their
fathers.
04-4:15 And
when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the
vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set
forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any
holy thing, lest they die. These things
are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.
04-5:16 And
the priest shall bring her near, and set her
before the LORD:
04-5:18 And
the priest shall set the woman before the LORD,
and uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands,
which is the jealousy offering: and
the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse:
04-5:30 Or
when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife,
and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the
priest shall execute upon her all this law.
04-7:1 And
it came to pass on the day that Moses had fully set
up the tabernacle, and had anointed it, and sanctified it, and all the
instruments thereof, both the altar and all the vessels thereof, and had
anointed them, and sanctified them;
04-8:13 And
thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and
before his sons, and offer them for an
offering unto the LORD.
04-10:17 And
the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle.
04-10:18 And
the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward
according to their armies: and over his host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.
04-10:21 And
the Kohathites set forward, bearing the
sanctuary: and the other did set up the tabernacle against they came.
04-10:22 And
the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set
forward according to their armies: and over his host was Elishama the son of Ammihud.
04-10:25 And
the standard of the camp of the children of Dan set
forward, which was the rereward of
all the camps throughout their hosts: and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
04-10:28 Thus
were the journeyings of the children
of Israel according to their armies, when they set
forward.
04-10:35 And
it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that
Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them
that hate thee flee before thee.
04-11:24 And
Moses went out, and told the people the words of the LORD, and gathered the
seventy men of the elders of the people, and set
them round about the tabernacle.
04-21:8 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that
every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
04-21:10 And
the children of Israel set forward, and pitched
in Oboth.
04-22:1 And
the children of Israel set forward, and pitched
in the plains of Moab on this side Jordan by
Jericho.
04-24:1 And
when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at
other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set
his face toward the wilderness.
04-27:16 Let
the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set
a man over the congregation,
04-27:19 And
set him before Eleazar the priest, and before
all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.
04-27:22 And
Moses did as the LORD commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the
congregation:
04-29:39 These
things ye shall do unto the LORD in
your set feasts, beside your vows, and your
freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and
for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.
05-1:8 Behold,
I have set the land before you: go in and
possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,
to give unto them and to their seed after them.
05-1:21 Behold,
the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee:
go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath
said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.
05-4:8 And
what nation is there so great, that
hath statutes and judgments so righteous
as all this law, which I set before you this
day?
05-4:44 And
this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel:
05-7:7 The
LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you,
because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:
05-11:26 Behold,
I set before you this day a blessing and a
curse;
05-11:32 And
ye shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set before you this day.
05-14:24 And
if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee,
which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his
name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
05-16:22 Neither
shalt thou set thee up any image; which the LORD thy God hateth.
05-17:14 When
thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt
possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me;
05-17:15 Thou
shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother.
05-19:14 Thou
shalt not remove thy neighbour’s landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in
the land that the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it.
05-26:4 And
the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God.
05-26:10 And
now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O LORD,
hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the
LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God:
05-27:2 And
it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the
LORD thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set
thee up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:
05-27:4 Therefore
it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that
ye shall set up these stones, which I
command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with
plaister.
05-28:1 And
it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the
LORD thy God, to observe and to do
all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
05-28:36 The
LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set
over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and
there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
05-28:56 The
tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for
delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom,
and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
05-30:1 And
it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing
and the curse, which I have set before thee, and
thou shalt call them to mind among
all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,
05-30:15 See,
I have set before thee this day life and good,
and death and evil;
05-30:19 I
call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and
death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed
may live:
05-32:8 When
the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the
sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people
according to the number of the children of Israel.
05-32:22 For
a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall
consume the earth with her increase, and set on
fire the foundations of the mountains.
05-32:46 And
he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the
words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children
to observe to do, all the words of this law.
06-4:9 And
Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of
Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant
stood: and they are there unto this day.
06-6:26 And
Joshua adjured them at that time,
saying, Cursed be the man before the
LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the
foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.
06-8:8 And
it shall be, when ye have taken the city, that
ye shall set the city on fire: according to
the commandment of the LORD shall ye do. See, I have commanded you.
06-8:12 And
he took about five thousand men, and set them to
lie in ambush between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of the city.
06-8:13 And
when they had set the people, even all the host that was on the north of the city, and their
liers in wait on the west of the city, Joshua went that night into the midst of
the valley.
06-8:19 And
the ambush arose quickly out of their place, and they ran as soon as he had
stretched out his hand: and they entered into the city, and took it, and hasted
and set the city on fire.
06-10:18 And
Joshua said, Roll great stones upon the mouth of the cave, and set men by it for to keep them:
06-18:1 And
the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh,
and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there.
And the land was subdued before them.
06-24:25 So
Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set
them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.
06-24:26 And
Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and took a great stone,
and set it up there under an oak, that was by the sanctuary of the LORD.
07-1:8 Now
the children of Judah had fought against Jerusalem, and had taken it, and
smitten it with the edge of the sword, and set
the city on fire.
07-6:18 Depart
not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and
set it before
thee. And he said, I will tarry until thou come again.
07-7:5 So
he brought down the people unto the water: and the LORD said unto Gideon, Every
one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou
set by himself; likewise every one that boweth
down upon his knees to drink.
07-7:19 So
Gideon, and the hundred men that were with
him, came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch;
and they had but newly set the watch: and they
blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers that were in their hands.
07-7:22 And
the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the LORD set
every man’s sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the
host fled to Bethshittah in Zererath, and
to the border of Abelmeholah, unto Tabbath.
07-9:25 And
the men of Shechem set liers in wait for him in
the top of the mountains, and they robbed all that came along that way by them:
and it was told Abimelech.
07-9:33 And
it shall be, that in the morning, as
soon as the sun is up, thou shalt rise early, and set
upon the city: and, behold, when he
and the people that is with him come
out against thee, then mayest thou do to them as thou shalt find occasion.
07-9:49 And
all the people likewise cut down every man his bough, and followed Abimelech,
and put them to the hold, and set the hold on fire upon them; so that all the men of
the tower of Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women.
07-15:5 And
when he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing corn of the
Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the
vineyards and olives.
07-16:25 And
it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson,
that he may make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison house;
and he made them sport: and they set him between
the pillars.
07-18:30 And
the children of Dan set up the graven image: and
Jonathan, the son of Gershom, the son of Manasseh, he and his sons were priests
to the tribe of Dan until the day of the captivity of the land.
07-18:31 And
they set them up Micah’s graven image, which he
made, all the time that the house of God was in Shiloh.
07-20:22 And
the people the men of Israel encouraged themselves, and set their battle again in array in the place where they put
themselves in array the first day.
07-20:29 And
Israel set liers in wait round about Gibeah.
07-20:36 So
the children of Benjamin saw that they were smitten: for the men of Israel gave
place to the Benjamites, because they trusted unto the liers in wait which they
had set beside Gibeah.
07-20:48 And
the men of Israel turned again upon the children of Benjamin, and smote them
with the edge of the sword, as well the men of every city, as the beast, and all that came to hand: also they set on fire all the cities that they came to.
08-2:5 Then
said Boaz unto his servant that was set over the
reapers, Whose damsel is this?
08-2:6 And
the servant that was set over the reapers
answered and said, It is the
Moabitish damsel that came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab:
09-2:8 He
raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth
up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them
inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and he hath set the
world upon them.
09-5:2 When
the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon,
and set it by Dagon.
09-5:3 And
when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth
before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set
him in his place again.
09-6:18 And
the golden mice, according to the
number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging
to the five lords, both of fenced
cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of Abel, whereon they set down
the ark of the LORD: which stone
remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Bethshemite.
09-7:12 Then
Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called
the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us.
09-8:12 And
he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them
to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of
war, and instruments of his chariots.
09-9:20 And
as for thine asses that were lost three days ago, set
not thy mind on them; for they are found. And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is
it not on thee, and on all thy father’s house?
09-9:23 And
Samuel said unto the cook, Bring the portion which I gave thee, of which I said
unto thee, Set it by thee.
09-9:24 And
the cook took up the shoulder, and that which
was upon it, and set it before
Saul. And Samuel said, Behold that
which is left! set it before thee, and eat:
for unto this time hath it been kept for thee since I said, I have invited the
people. So Saul did eat with Samuel that day.
09-10:19 And
ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your
adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set
a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your
tribes, and by your thousands.
09-12:13 Now
therefore behold the king whom ye have chosen, and whom ye have desired! and, behold, the LORD hath set a king over you.
09-13:8 And
he tarried seven days, according to the set time
that Samuel had appointed: but Samuel
came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.
09-15:11 It
repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from
following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel;
and he cried unto the LORD all night.
09-15:12 And
when Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning, it was told Samuel, saying,
Saul came to Carmel, and, behold, he set him up
a place, and is gone about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal.
09-17:2 And
Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of
Elah, and set the battle in array against the
Philistines.
09-17:8 And
he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye
come out to set your battle in array? am not
I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him
come down to me.
09-18:5 And
David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, and
behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over
the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in
the sight of Saul’s servants.
09-18:30 Then
the princes of the Philistines went forth: and it came to pass, after they went
forth, that David behaved himself
more wisely than all the servants of Saul; so that his name was much set by.
09-22:9 Then
answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over
the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to
Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.
09-26:24 And,
behold, as thy life was much set by this day in
mine eyes, so let my life be much set by in the
eyes of the LORD, and let him deliver me out of all tribulation.
09-28:22 Now
therefore, I pray thee, hearken thou also unto the voice of thine handmaid, and
let me set a morsel of bread before thee; and
eat, that thou mayest have strength, when thou goest on thy way.
10-3:10 To
translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set
up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba.
10-6:3 And
they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and
brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the
new cart.
10-6:17 And
they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it
in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and
David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.
10-7:12 And
when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of
thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
10-10:17 And
when it was told David, he gathered all Israel together, and passed over
Jordan, and came to Helam. And the Syrians set
themselves in array against David, and fought with him.
10-11:15 And
he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in
the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be
smitten, and die.
10-12:20 Then
David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the
LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they
set bread before him, and he did eat.
10-12:30 And
he took their king’s crown from off his head, the weight whereof was a talent of gold with the precious
stones: and it was set on David’s head. And he brought forth the
spoil of the city in great abundance.
10-14:30 Therefore
he said unto his servants, See, Joab’s field is near mine, and he hath barley
there; go and set it on fire. And Absalom’s
servants set the field on fire.
10-14:31 Then
Joab arose, and came to Absalom unto his house,
and said unto him, Wherefore have thy servants set
my field on fire?
10-15:24 And
lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with
him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set
down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done
passing out of the city.
10-18:1 And
David numbered the people that were with
him, and set captains of thousands and captains
of hundreds over them.
10-18:13 Otherwise
I should have wrought falsehood against mine own life: for there is no matter
hid from the king, and thou thyself wouldest have set
thyself against me.
10-19:28 For
all of my father’s house were but dead
men before my lord the king: yet didst thou set
thy servant among them that did eat at thine own table. What right therefore
have I yet to cry any more unto the king?
10-20:5 So
Amasa went to assemble the men of Judah:
but he tarried longer than the set time which he
had appointed him.
10-23:23 He
was more honourable than the thirty, but he attained not to the first three. And David set him over his guard.
11-2:15 And
he said, Thou knowest that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel set their faces on
me, that I should reign: howbeit the kingdom is turned about, and is become my
brother’s: for it was his from the LORD.
11-2:19 Bathsheba
therefore went unto king Solomon, to speak unto him for Adonijah. And the king
rose up to meet her, and bowed himself unto her, and sat down on his throne,
and caused a seat to be set for the king’s
mother; and she sat on his right hand.
11-2:24 Now
therefore, as the LORD liveth, which
hath established me, and set me on the throne of
David my father, and who hath made me an house, as he promised, Adonijah shall
be put to death this day.
11-5:5 And,
behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God, as the
LORD spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an
house unto my name.
11-6:19 And
the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set
there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
11-6:27 And
he set the cherubims within the inner house: and
they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one
touched the one wall, and the wing of
the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in
the midst of the house.
11-7:16 And
he made two chapiters of molten
brass, to set upon the tops of the pillars: the
height of the one chapiter was five
cubits, and the height of the other chapiter was five cubits:
11-7:21 And
he set up the pillars in the porch of the
temple: and he set up the right pillar, and
called the name thereof Jachin: and he set up
the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz.
11-7:25 It
stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking
toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward
the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.
11-7:39 And
he put five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of
the house: and he set the sea on the right side
of the house eastward over against the south.
11-8:21 And
I have set there a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of the LORD, which he
made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.
11-9:6 But if ye shall at all turn from
following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and
worship them:
11-10:9 Blessed
be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee, to set
thee on the throne of Israel: because the LORD loved Israel for ever, therefore
made he thee king, to do judgment and justice.
11-12:29 And
he set the one in Bethel, and the other put he
in Dan.
11-14:4 And
Jeroboam’s wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of
Ahijah. But Ahijah could not see; for his eyes were set
by reason of his age.
11-15:4 Nevertheless
for David’s sake did the LORD his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:
11-16:34 In
his days did Hiel the Bethelite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof
in Abiram his firstborn, and set up the gates
thereof in his youngest son Segub,
according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun.
11-20:12 And
it came to pass, when Benhadad heard
this message, as he was drinking, he
and the kings in the pavilions, that he said unto his servants, Set yourselves
in array. And they set themselves in array against the city.
11-21:9 And
she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set
Naboth on high among the people:
11-21:10 And
set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear
witness against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that
he may die.
11-21:12 They
proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among
the people.
12-4:4 And
when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons,
and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
12-4:10 Let
us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and
a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in
thither.
12-4:38 And
Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there
was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons
of the prophets.
12-4:43 And
his servitor said, What, should I set this before
an hundred men? He said again, Give the people, that they may eat: for thus
saith the LORD, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof.
12-4:44 So
he set it before
them, and they did eat, and left thereof,
according to the word of the LORD.
12-6:22 And
he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wouldest
thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and
drink, and go to their master.
12-8:12 And
Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that
thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with
the sword, and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child.
12-10:3 Look
even out the best and meetest of your master’s sons, and set him on
his father’s throne, and fight for your master’s house.
12-12:4 And
Jehoash said to the priests, All the money of the dedicated things that is
brought into the house of the LORD, even the
money of every one that passeth the
account, the money that every man is set at,
and all the money that cometh into
any man’s heart to bring into the house of the LORD,
12-12:9 But
Jehoiada the priest took a chest, and bored a hole in the lid of it, and set it beside the altar, on the right side as one
cometh into the house of the LORD: and the priests that kept the door put
therein all the money that was brought
into the house of the LORD.
12-12:17 Then
Hazael king of Syria went up, and fought against Gath, and took it: and Hazael set his face to go up to Jerusalem.
12-17:10 And
they set them up images and groves in every high
hill, and under every green tree:
12-18:23 Now
therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my lord the king of Assyria, and I will
deliver thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.
12-20:1 In
those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz
came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set
thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
12-21:7 And
he set a graven image of the grove that he had
made in the house, of which the LORD said to David, and to Solomon his son, In
this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel,
will I put my name for ever:
12-25:19 And
out of the city he took an officer that was set
over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king’s presence,
which were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host, which
mustered the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the land that were found in the city:
12-25:28 And
he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above
the throne of the kings that were with
him in Babylon;
13-6:31 And
these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD,
after that the ark had rest.
13-9:22 All
these which were chosen to be porters
in the gates were two hundred and
twelve. These were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David
and Samuel the seer did ordain in their set
office.
13-9:26 For
these Levites, the four chief porters, were in their set office, and were over the
chambers and treasuries of the house of God.
13-9:31 And
Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the
Korahite, had the set office over the things
that were made in the pans.
13-11:14 And
they set themselves in the midst of that parcel, and delivered it, and slew
the Philistines; and the LORD saved them by
a great deliverance.
13-11:25 Behold,
he was honourable among the thirty, but attained not to the first three: and David set him over his guard.
13-16:1 So
they brought the ark of God, and set it in the
midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt
sacrifices and peace offerings before God.
13-19:10 Now
when Joab saw that the battle was set against
him before and behind, he chose out of all the choice of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians.
13-19:11 And
the rest of the people he delivered unto the hand of Abishai his brother, and
they set themselves
in array against the children of Ammon.
13-19:17 And
it was told David; and he gathered all Israel, and passed over Jordan, and came
upon them, and set the battle in array against them. So when David had put the battle
in array against the Syrians, they fought with him.
13-20:2 And
David took the crown of their king from off his head, and found it to weigh a
talent of gold, and there were precious
stones in it; and it was set upon David’s head:
and he brought also exceeding much spoil out of the city.
13-21:18 Then
the angel of the LORD commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up,
and set up an altar unto the LORD in the
threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
13-22:2 And
David commanded to gather together the strangers that were in the land of Israel; and he set
masons to hew wrought stones to build the house of God.
13-22:19 Now
set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your
God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the
ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house
that is to be built to the name of the LORD.
13-23:4 Of
which, twenty and four thousand were to
set forward the work of the house of the LORD;
and six thousand were officers and
judges:
13-23:31 And
to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbaths, in the new moons,
and on the set feasts, by number, according to
the order commanded unto them, continually before the LORD:
13-29:2 Now
I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the
silver for things of silver, and the
brass for things of brass, the iron
for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set,
glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones,
and marble stones in abundance.
13-29:3 Moreover,
because I have set my affection to the house of
my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my
God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,
14-2:18 And
he set threescore and ten thousand of them to be bearers of burdens, and fourscore
thousand to be hewers in the
mountain, and three thousand and six hundred overseers to set the people a work.
14-3:5 And
the greater house he cieled with fir tree, which he overlaid with fine gold,
and set thereon palm trees and chains.
14-4:4 It
stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking
toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward
the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.
14-4:7 And
he made ten candlesticks of gold according to their form, and set them in
the temple, five on the right hand, and five on the left.
14-4:10 And
he set the sea on the right side of the east
end, over against the south.
14-4:19 And
Solomon made all the vessels that were
for the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables whereon the
shewbread was set;
14-6:10 The
LORD therefore hath performed his word that he hath spoken: for I am risen up
in the room of David my father, and am set on
the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the
name of the LORD God of Israel.
14-6:13 For
Solomon had made a brasen scaffold, of five cubits long, and five cubits broad,
and three cubits high, and had set it in the
midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees
before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward
heaven,
14-7:19 But
if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and
worship them;
14-9:8 Blessed
be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee to set
thee on his throne, to be king for
the LORD thy God: because thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever,
therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.
14-11:16 And
after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set
their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice
unto the LORD God of their fathers.
14-13:3 And
Abijah set the battle in array with an army of
valiant men of war, even four hundred
thousand chosen men: Jeroboam also set the
battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, being mighty men of valour.
14-13:11 And
they burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and
sweet incense: the shewbread also set they in order upon the pure table; and the
candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we keep the
charge of the LORD our God; but ye have forsaken him.
14-14:10 Then
Asa went out against him, and they set the
battle in array in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.
14-17:2 And
he placed forces in all the fenced cities of Judah, and set garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim,
which Asa his father had taken.
14-19:5 And
he set judges in the land throughout all the
fenced cities of Judah, city by city,
14-19:8 Moreover
in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites,
and of the priests, and of the chief
of the fathers of Israel, for the judgment of the LORD, and for controversies,
when they returned to Jerusalem.
14-20:3 And
Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the
LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.
14-20:17 Ye
shall not need to fight in this battle: set
yourselves, stand ye still, and see
the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be
dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.
14-20:22 And
when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set
ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were
come against Judah; and they were smitten.
14-23:10 And
he set all the people, every man having his
weapon in his hand, from the right side of the temple to the left side of the
temple, along by the altar and the temple, by the king round about.
14-23:14 Then
Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds that were set over the host, and said unto them, Have her forth
of the ranges: and whoso followeth her, let him be slain with the sword. For
the priest said, Slay her not in the house of the LORD.
14-23:19 And
he set the porters at the gates of the house of
the LORD, that none which was unclean
in any thing should enter in.
14-23:20 And
he took the captains of hundreds, and the nobles, and the governors of the
people, and all the people of the land, and brought down the king from the
house of the LORD: and they came through the high gate into the king’s house,
and set the king upon the throne of the kingdom.
14-24:8 And
at the king’s commandment they made a chest, and set
it without at the gate of the house of the LORD.
14-24:13 So
the workmen wrought, and the work was perfected by them, and they set the house of God in his state, and strengthened
it.
14-25:14 Now
it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the
Edomites, that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to
be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto
them.
14-29:25 And
he set the Levites in the house of the LORD with
cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the commandment of
David, and of Gad the king’s seer, and Nathan the prophet: for so was the commandment of the LORD by
his prophets.
14-29:35 And
also the burnt offerings were in
abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings, and the drink offerings for every burnt offering. So the service of
the house of the LORD was set in order.
14-31:3 He appointed also the king’s portion of
his substance for the burnt offerings, to
wit, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings
for the sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for the set
feasts, as it is written in the law
of the LORD.
14-31:15 And
next him were Eden, and Miniamin, and
Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in their set
office, to give to their brethren by courses, as well to the great as to the
small:
14-31:18 And
to the genealogy of all their little ones, their wives, and their sons, and
their daughters, through all the congregation: for in their set office they sanctified themselves in holiness:
14-32:6 And
he set captains of war over the people, and gathered
them together to him in the street of the gate of the city, and spake
comfortably to them, saying,
14-33:7 And
he set a carved image, the idol which he had
made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his
son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes
of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
14-33:19 His
prayer also, and how God was
intreated of him, and all his sins, and his trespass, and the places wherein he
built high places, and set up groves and graven
images, before he was humbled: behold, they are
written among the sayings of the seers.
14-34:12 And
the men did the work faithfully: and the overseers of them were Jahath and Obadiah, the Levites, of the sons of Merari; and
Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to set it forward;
and other of the Levites, all that
could skill of instruments of musick.
14-35:2 And
he set the priests in their charges, and
encouraged them to the service of the house of the LORD,
15-2:68 And
some of the chief of the fathers,
when they came to the house of the LORD which is at Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God to set it up in his place:
15-3:3 And
they set the altar upon his bases; for fear was upon them because of the people of
those countries: and they offered burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD, even burnt offerings morning and
evening.
15-3:5 And
afterward offered the continual burnt
offering, both of the new moons, and of all the set
feasts of the LORD that were consecrated, and of every one that willingly
offered a freewill offering unto the LORD.
15-3:8 Now
in the second year of their coming unto the house of God at Jerusalem, in the
second month, began Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of
Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all
they that were come out of the captivity unto Jerusalem; and appointed the
Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to set
forward the work of the house of the LORD.
15-3:9 Then
stood Jeshua with his sons and his
brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah, together, to set forward the workmen in the house of God: the sons
of Henadad, with their sons and their
brethren the Levites.
15-3:10 And
when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and
the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the
ordinance of David king of Israel.
15-4:10 And
the rest of the nations whom the great and noble Asnapper brought over, and set in the cities of Samaria, and the rest that are on this side the river, and at
such a time.
15-4:12 Be
it known unto the king, that the Jews which came up from thee to us are come
unto Jerusalem, building the rebellious and the bad city, and have set up the walls thereof,
and joined the foundations.
15-4:13 Be
it known now unto the king, that, if this city be builded, and the walls set up again,
then will they not pay toll, tribute, and custom, and so thou shalt endamage the revenue of the kings.
15-4:16 We
certify the king that, if this city be builded again, and the walls thereof set up,
by this means thou shalt have no portion on this side the river.
15-5:11 And
thus they returned us answer, saying, We are the servants of the God of heaven
and earth, and build the house that was builded these many years ago, which a
great king of Israel builded and set up.
15-6:11 Also
I have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let timber be
pulled down from his house, and being set up,
let him be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this.
15-6:18 And
they set the priests in their divisions, and the
Levites in their courses, for the service of God, which is at Jerusalem; as it is written in the book of Moses.
15-7:25 And
thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates
and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and
teach ye them that know them not.
15-9:9 For
we were bondmen; yet our God hath not
forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the
kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set
up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us
a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
16-1:9 But
if ye turn unto me, and keep my
commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost
part of the heaven, yet will I gather
them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.
16-2:6 And
the king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy
journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I
set him a time.
16-3:1 Then
Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they
builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set
up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Meah they sanctified it, unto the
tower of Hananeel.
16-3:3 But
the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build, who also laid the beams thereof, and set
up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof.
16-3:6 Moreover
the old gate repaired Jehoiada the son of Paseah, and Meshullam the son of
Besodeiah; they laid the beams thereof, and set
up the doors thereof, and the locks thereof, and the bars thereof.
16-3:13 The
valley gate repaired Hanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoah; they built it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the
bars thereof, and a thousand cubits on the wall unto the dung gate.
16-3:14 But
the dung gate repaired Malchiah the son of Rechab, the ruler of part of
Bethhaccerem; he built it, and set up the doors
thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof.
16-3:15 But
the gate of the fountain repaired Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of
part of Mizpah; he built it, and covered it, and set
up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, and the wall of
the pool of Siloah by the king’s garden, and unto the stairs that go down from
the city of David.
16-4:9 Nevertheless
we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch
against them day and night, because of them.
16-4:13 Therefore
set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places, I even set the people after their families with their swords,
their spears, and their bows.
16-5:7 Then
I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said
unto them, Ye exact usury, every one of his brother. And I set a great assembly against them.
16-6:1 Now
it came to pass, when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and Geshem the Arabian, and the rest
of our enemies, heard that I had builded the wall, and that there was no breach left therein; (though at that time I had
not set up the doors upon the gates;)
16-7:1 Now
it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set
up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
16-9:37 And
it yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou hast set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our
bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress.
16-10:33 For
the shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt
offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set
feasts, and for the holy things, and
for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.
16-13:11 Then
contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I
gathered them together, and set them in their
place.
16-13:19 And
it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the
sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they
should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the
gates, that there should no burden be
brought in on the sabbath day.
17-2:17 And
the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in
his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set
the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
17-3:1 After
these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the
Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat
above all the princes that were with
him.
17-6:8 Let
the royal apparel be brought which the king useth
to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the crown royal which
is set upon his head:
17-8:2 And
the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto
Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house
of Haman.
18-5:11 To
set up on high those that be low; that those
which mourn may be exalted to safety.
18-6:4 For
the arrows of the Almighty are within
me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.
18-7:17 What
is man, that thou shouldest magnify
him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart
upon him?
18-7:20 I
have sinned; what shall I do unto thee, O thou preserver of men? why hast thou set me as a mark against thee, so that I am a burden
to myself?
18-9:19 If
I speak of strength, lo, he is strong: and if of judgment, who
shall set me a time to plead?
18-14:13 O
that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret,
until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!
18-16:12 I
was at ease, but he hath broken me asunder: he hath also taken me by my neck, and shaken me to pieces,
and set me up for his mark.
18-19:8 He
hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath set
darkness in my paths.
18-30:1 But
now they that are younger than I have
me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock.
18-30:13 They
mar my path, they set forward my calamity, they
have no helper.
18-33:5 If
thou canst answer me, set thy words in order before me, stand up.
18-34:14 If
he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
18-34:24 He
shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set
others in their stead.
18-36:16 Even
so would he have removed thee out of the strait into a broad place, where there
is no straitness; and that which should be set
on thy table should be full of
fatness.
18-38:10 And
brake up for it my decreed place, and
set bars and doors,
18-38:33 Knowest
thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set
the dominion thereof in the earth?
19-2:2 The
kings of the earth set themselves, and the
rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
19-2:6 Yet
have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
19-3:6 I
will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against
me round about.
19-4:3 But
know that the LORD hath set apart him that is
godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
19-8:1 O
LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy
name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory
above the heavens.
19-10:8 He
sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he
murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set
against the poor.
19-12:5 For
the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise,
saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth
at him.
19-16:8 I
have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be
moved.
19-17:11 They
have now compassed us in our steps: they have set
their eyes bowing down to the earth;
19-19:4 Their
line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the
world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the
sun,
19-20:5 We
will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners:
the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.
19-27:5 For
in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his
tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up
upon a rock.
19-31:8 And
hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.
19-40:2 He
brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
19-50:21 These
things hast thou done, and I kept
silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I
will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.
19-54:3 For
strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have
not set God before them. Selah.
19-57:4 My
soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on
fire, even the sons of men, whose
teeth are spears and arrows, and
their tongue a sharp sword.
19-62:10 Trust
not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon
them.
19-69:29 But
I am poor and sorrowful: let thy
salvation, O God, set me up on high.
19-73:9 They
set their mouth against the heavens, and their
tongue walketh through the earth.
19-73:18 Surely
thou didst set them in slippery places: thou
castedst them down into destruction.
19-74:4 Thine
enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set
up their ensigns for signs.
19-74:17 Thou
hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast
made summer and winter.
19-78:7 That
they might set their hope in God, and not forget
the works of God, but keep his commandments:
19-78:8 And
might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a
generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not
stedfast with God.
19-85:13 Righteousness
shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.
19-86:14 O
God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have
not set thee before them.
19-89:25 I
will set his hand also in the sea, and his right
hand in the rivers.
19-89:42 Thou
hast set up the right hand of his adversaries;
thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
19-90:8 Thou
hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.
19-91:14 Because
he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I
deliver him: I will set him on high, because he
hath known my name.
19-101:3 I
will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I
hate the work of them that turn aside; it
shall not cleave to me.
19-102:13 Thou
shalt arise, and have mercy upon
Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set
time, is come.
19-104:9 Thou
hast set a bound that they may not pass over;
that they turn not again to cover the earth.
19-109:6 Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at
his right hand.
19-113:8 That
he may set him
with princes, even with the
princes of his people.
19-118:5 I
called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.
19-122:5 For
there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones
of the house of David.
19-132:11 The
LORD hath sworn in truth unto David;
he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
19-140:5 The
proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the
wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.
19-141:2 Let
my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as
the evening sacrifice.
19-141:3 Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of
my lips.
20-1:25 But
ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would
none of my reproof:
20-8:23 I
was set up from everlasting, from the beginning,
or ever the earth was.
20-8:27 When
he prepared the heavens, I was there:
when he set a compass upon the face of the
depth:
20-22:28 Remove
not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.
20-23:5 Wilt
thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings;
they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
21-3:11 He
hath made every thing beautiful in
his time: also he hath set the world in their heart,
so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the
end.
21-7:14 In
the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also
hath set the one over against the other, to the
end that man should find nothing after him.
21-8:11 Because
sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of
the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
21-10:6 Folly
is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low
place.
21-12:9 And
moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge;
yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and
set in order many proverbs.
22-5:12 His
eyes are as the eyes of doves by the rivers of waters, washed with milk, and fitly set.
22-5:14 His
hands are as gold rings set with the beryl: his belly is as bright ivory overlaid with
sapphires.
22-5:15 His
legs are as pillars of marble, set upon sockets of fine gold: his countenance is as Lebanon, excellent as the cedars.
22-7:2 Thy
navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not liquor: thy belly is like an heap of wheat set about with lilies.
22-8:6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon
thine arm: for love is strong as
death; jealousy is cruel as the
grave: the coals thereof are coals of
fire, which hath a most vehement
flame.
23-3:24 And
it shall come to pass, that instead
of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and
instead of well set hair baldness; and instead
of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and
burning instead of beauty.
23-7:6 Let
us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us,
and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal:
23-9:11 Therefore
the LORD shall set up the adversaries of Rezin
against him, and join his enemies together;
23-11:11 And
it shall come to pass in that day, that the
Lord shall set his hand again the second time to
recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from
Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and
from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
23-11:12 And
he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and
shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of
Judah from the four corners of the earth.
23-14:1 For
the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be
joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.
23-17:10 Because
thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the
rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:
23-19:2 And
I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians:
and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his
neighbour; city against city, and kingdom
against kingdom.
23-21:6 For
thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a
watchman, let him declare what he seeth.
23-21:8 And
he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the
daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights:
23-22:7 And
it shall come to pass, that thy
choicest valleys shall be full of chariots, and the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.
23-23:13 Behold
the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, till the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness:
they set up the towers thereof, they raised up
the palaces thereof; and he brought
it to ruin.
23-27:4 Fury
is not in me: who would set the briers and
thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them
together.
23-27:11 When
the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set
them on fire: for it is a people of
no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and
he that formed them will shew them no favour.
23-36:8 Now
therefore give pledges, I pray thee, to my master the king of Assyria, and I
will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.
23-38:1 In
those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz
came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set
thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.
23-41:19 I
will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and
the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir
tree, and the pine, and the box tree
together:
23-42:4 He
shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set
judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.
23-42:25 Therefore
he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and
it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew
not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not
to heart.
23-44:7 And
who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set
it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that
are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them.
23-45:20 Assemble
yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that
are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a
god that cannot save.
23-46:7 They
bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set
him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not
answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
23-49:22 Thus
saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring
thy sons in their arms, and thy
daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.
23-50:7 For
the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have
I set my face like a flint, and I know that I
shall not be ashamed.
23-57:7 Upon
a lofty and high mountain hast thou set thy bed:
even thither wentest thou up to offer sacrifice.
23-57:8 Behind
the doors also and the posts hast thou set up
thy remembrance: for thou hast discovered thyself
to another than me, and art gone up; thou hast enlarged thy bed, and made
thee a covenant with them; thou
lovedst their bed where thou sawest it.
23-62:6 I
have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day
nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence.
23-66:19 And
I will set a sign among them, and I will send
those that escape of them unto the nations, to
Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the
isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and
they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.
24-1:10 See,
I have this day set thee over the nations and
over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw
down, to build, and to plant.
24-1:15 For,
lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD;
and they shall come, and they shall set every
one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the
walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.
24-4:6 Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for
I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.
24-5:26 For
among my people are found wicked men: they
lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a
trap, they catch men.
24-6:1 O
ye children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of
Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set
up a sign of fire in Bethhaccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and
great destruction.
24-6:17 Also
I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will
not hearken.
24-6:23 They
shall lay hold on bow and spear; they are
cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the sea; and they ride upon
horses, set in array as men for war against
thee, O daughter of Zion.
24-6:27 I
have set thee for a tower and a
fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way.
24-7:12 But
go ye now unto my place which was in
Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and
see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.
24-7:30 For
the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by
my name, to pollute it.
24-9:13 And
the LORD saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither
walked therein;
24-10:20 My
tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone forth
of me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent
any more, and to set up my curtains.
24-11:13 For
according to the number of thy cities
were thy gods, O Judah; and according to the
number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set
up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal.
24-21:8 And
unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.
24-21:10 For
I have set my face against this city for evil,
and not for good, saith the LORD: it shall be given into the hand of the king
of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.
24-23:4 And
I will set up shepherds over them which shall
feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be
lacking, saith the LORD.
24-24:1 The
LORD shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the
LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive
Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the
carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.
24-24:6 For
I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I
will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and
not pluck them up.
24-26:4 And
thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD; If ye will not hearken to me, to
walk in my law, which I have set before you,
24-31:21 Set thee up waymarks, make thee high heaps: set thine heart toward the highway, even the way which thou wentest: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to
these thy cities.
24-31:29 In
those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the
children’s teeth are set on edge.
24-31:30 But
every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape,
his teeth shall be set on edge.
24-32:20 Which
hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt,
even unto this day, and in Israel,
and among other men; and hast made
thee a name, as at this day;
24-32:29 And
the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses,
upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink
offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger.
24-32:34 But
they set their abominations in the house, which
is called by my name, to defile it.
24-34:16 But
ye turned and polluted my name, and caused every man his servant, and every man
his handmaid, whom he had set at liberty at
their pleasure, to return, and brought them into subjection, to be unto you for
servants and for handmaids.
24-35:5 And
I set before the sons of the house of the
Rechabites pots full of wine, and cups, and I said unto them, Drink ye wine.
24-38:22 And,
behold, all the women that are left in the king of Judah’s house shall be brought forth to the king of
Babylon’s princes, and those women shall
say, Thy friends have set thee on, and have
prevailed against thee: thy feet are sunk in the mire, and they are turned away back.
24-40:11 Likewise
when all the Jews that were in Moab,
and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and that were in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left
a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over
them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan;
24-42:15 And
now therefore hear the word of the LORD, ye remnant of Judah; Thus saith the
LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If ye wholly set
your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to sojourn there;
24-42:17 So
shall it be with all the men that set their
faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the
famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the
evil that I will bring upon them.
24-43:10 And
say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will
send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and
he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.
24-44:10 They
are not humbled even unto this day,
neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.
24-44:11 Therefore
thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, and to cut off all
Judah.
24-44:12 And
I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set
their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all
be consumed, and fall in the land of
Egypt; they shall even be consumed by
the sword and by the famine: they
shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the sword and by the
famine: and they shall be an execration, and
an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.
24-49:38 And
I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from
thence the king and the princes, saith the LORD.
24-50:2 Declare
ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a
standard; publish, and conceal not:
say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her
idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces.
24-50:9 For,
lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great
nations from the north country: and they shall set
themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none
shall return in vain.
24-51:12 Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make
the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare
the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he spake against
the inhabitants of Babylon.
24-51:27 Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet
among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her
the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz; appoint a captain against her;
cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillars.
24-52:32 And
spake kindly unto him, and set his throne above
the throne of the kings that were with
him in Babylon,
25-2:17 The
LORD hath done that which he had
devised; he hath fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old:
he hath thrown down, and hath not pitied: and he hath caused thine enemy to rejoice over thee, he
hath set up the horn of thine adversaries.
25-3:6 He
hath set me in dark places, as they that be dead of old.
25-3:12 He
hath bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the
arrow.
26-2:2 And
the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set
me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.
26-3:24 Then
the spirit entered into me, and set me upon my
feet, and spake with me, and said unto me, Go, shut thyself within thine house.
26-4:2 And
lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it;
set the camp also against it, and set battering rams
against it round about.
26-4:3 Moreover
take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the
city: and set thy face against it, and it shall
be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
26-4:7 Therefore
thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of
Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered,
and thou shalt prophesy against it.
26-5:5 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem:
I have set it in the midst of the nations and
countries that are round about her.
26-6:2 Son
of man, set thy face toward the mountains of
Israel, and prophesy against them,
26-7:20 As
for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in
majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.
26-9:4 And
the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of
Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of
the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the
midst thereof.
26-12:6 In
their sight shalt thou bear it upon thy shoulders, and carry it forth in the
twilight: thou shalt cover thy face, that thou see not the ground: for I have set thee for a
sign unto the house of Israel.
26-13:17 Likewise,
thou son of man, set thy face against the
daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy
thou against them,
26-14:3 Son
of man, these men have set up their idols in
their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face:
should I be enquired of at all by them?
26-14:8 And
I will set my face against that man, and will
make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my
people; and ye shall know that I am the
LORD.
26-15:7 And
I will set my face against them; they shall go
out from one fire, and another fire shall devour them; and ye
shall know that I am the LORD, when I
set my face against them.
26-16:18 And
tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.
26-16:19 My
meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord GOD.
26-17:4 He
cropped off the top of his young twigs, and carried it into a land of traffick;
he set it in a city of merchants.
26-17:5 He
took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful field; he
placed it by great waters, and set
it as a willow tree.
26-17:22 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar,
and will set it;
I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will
plant it upon an high mountain and
eminent:
26-18:2 What
mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The
fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge?
26-19:8 Then
the nations set against him on every side from
the provinces, and spread their net over him: he was taken in their pit.
26-20:46 Son
of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop thy word toward the south, and prophesy
against the forest of the south field;
26-21:2 Son
of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the holy places, and
prophesy against the land of Israel,
26-21:15 I
have set the point of the sword against all
their gates, that their heart may
faint, and their ruins be multiplied:
ah! it is made bright, it is wrapped up for the slaughter.
26-21:16 Go
thee one way or other, either on the
right hand, or on the left,
whithersoever thy face is set.
26-22:7 In
thee have they set light by father and mother:
in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee
have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.
26-22:10 In
thee have they discovered their fathers’ nakedness: in thee have they humbled
her that was set apart for pollution.
26-23:24 And
they shall come against thee with chariots, wagons, and wheels, and with an assembly
of people, which shall set against thee buckler and shield and helmet round
about: and I will set judgment before them, and
they shall judge thee according to their judgments.
26-23:25 And
I will set my jealousy against thee, and they
shall deal furiously with thee: they shall take away thy nose and thine ears;
and thy remnant shall fall by the sword: they shall take thy sons and thy
daughters; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.
26-23:41 And
satest upon a stately bed, and a table prepared before it, whereupon thou hast set mine incense and mine oil.
26-24:2 Son
of man, write thee the name of the day, even
of this same day: the king of Babylon set
himself against Jerusalem this same day.
26-24:3 And
utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus saith the
Lord GOD; Set on a pot, set
it on, and also pour water into it:
26-24:7 For
her blood is in the midst of her; she set it
upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with
dust;
26-24:8 That
it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should
not be covered.
26-24:11 Then
set it empty upon the coals thereof, that the
brass of it may be hot, and may burn, and that
the filthiness of it may be molten in it, that the scum of it may be consumed.
26-24:25 Also,
thou son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them
their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that
whereupon they set their minds, their sons and
their daughters,
26-25:2 Son
of man, set thy face against the Ammonites, and
prophesy against them;
26-25:4 Behold,
therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the east for a possession, and they
shall set their palaces in thee, and make their
dwellings in thee: they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.
26-26:9 And
he shall set engines of war against thy walls,
and with his axes he shall break down thy towers.
26-26:20 When
I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, with the people of
old time, and shall set thee in the low parts of
the earth, in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that
thou be not inhabited; and I shall set glory in
the land of the living;
26-27:10 They
of Persia and of Lud and of Phut were in thine army, thy men of war: they
hanged the shield and helmet in thee; they set
forth thy comeliness.
26-28:2 Son
of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart
is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:
26-28:6 Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set
thine heart as the heart of God;
26-28:14 Thou
art the anointed cherub that
covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of
God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
26-28:21 Son
of man, set thy face against Zidon, and prophesy
against it,
26-29:2 Son
of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of
Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt:
26-30:8 And
they shall know that I am the LORD,
when I have set a fire in Egypt, and when all her helpers shall be destroyed.
26-30:14 And
I will make Pathros desolate, and will set fire
in Zoan, and will execute judgments in No.
26-30:16 And
I will set fire in Egypt: Sin shall have great
pain, and No shall be rent asunder, and Noph shall have distresses daily.
26-31:4 The
waters made him great, the deep set him up on
high with her rivers running round about his plants, and sent out her little
rivers unto all the trees of the field.
26-32:8 All
the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord GOD.
26-32:23 Whose
graves are set in the sides of the pit, and her
company is round about her grave: all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which
caused terror in the land of the living.
26-32:25 They
have set her a bed in the midst of the slain
with all her multitude: her graves are round
about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword: though their terror
was caused in the land of the living, yet have they borne their shame with them
that go down to the pit: he is put in the midst of them that be slain.
26-33:2 Son
of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring
the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts,
and set him for their watchman:
26-33:7 So
thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman
unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and
warn them from me.
26-34:23 And
I will set up one shepherd over them, and he
shall feed them, even my servant
David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
26-35:2 Son
of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and
prophesy against it,
26-37:1 The
hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and
set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,
26-37:26 Moreover
I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant
with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
26-38:2 Son
of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of
Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
26-39:9 And
they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and
the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and
they shall burn them with fire seven years:
26-39:15 And
the passengers that pass through the
land, when any seeth a man’s bone,
then shall he set up a sign by it, till the
buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog.
26-39:21 And
I will set my glory among the heathen, and all
the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have
laid upon them.
26-40:2 In
the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the south.
26-40:4 And
the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine
ears, and set thine heart upon all that I shall
shew thee; for to the intent that I might shew them unto thee art thou
brought hither: declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel.
26-44:8 And
ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for
yourselves.
27-1:11 Then
said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,
27-2:44 And
in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set
up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left
to other people, but it shall break
in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
27-2:49 Then
Daniel requested of the king, and he set
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon:
but Daniel sat in the gate of the
king.
27-3:1 Nebuchadnezzar
the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the
breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the
plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.
27-3:2 Then
Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and
the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and
all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which
Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
27-3:3 Then
the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the
counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered
together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that
Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
27-3:5 That at what time ye hear the sound of
the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick,
ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:
27-3:7 Therefore
at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp,
sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and
the languages, fell down and worshipped
the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set
up.
27-3:12 There
are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the
affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men,
O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden
image which thou hast set up.
27-3:14 Nebuchadnezzar
spake and said unto them, Is it true,
O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the
golden image which I have set up?
27-3:18 But
if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor
worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
27-5:19 And
for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled
and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive;
and whom he would he set up; and whom he would
he put down.
27-6:1 It
pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an
hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;
27-6:3 Then
this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an
excellent spirit was in him; and the
king thought to set him over the whole realm.
27-6:14 Then
the king, when he heard these words,
was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and
he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
27-7:10 A
fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands
ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the
judgment was set, and the books were opened.
27-8:18 Now
as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground:
but he touched me, and set me upright.
27-9:3 And
I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by
prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
27-9:10 Neither
have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
27-10:10 And,
behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my
knees and upon the palms of my hands.
27-10:12 Then
said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself
before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
27-10:15 And
when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my
face toward the ground, and I became dumb.
27-11:11 And
the king of the south shall be moved with choler, and shall come forth and
fight with him, even with the king of
the north: and he shall set forth a great
multitude; but the multitude shall be given into his hand.
27-11:13 For
the king of the north shall return, and shall set
forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come after
certain years with a great army and with much riches.
27-11:17 He
shall also set his face to enter with the strength
of his whole kingdom, and upright ones with him; thus shall he do: and he shall
give him the daughter of women, corrupting her: but she shall not stand on his side, neither be for him.
27-12:11 And
from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the
abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred
and ninety days.
28-2:3 Lest
I strip her naked, and set her as in the day
that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set
her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.
28-4:8 They
eat up the sin of my people, and they set their
heart on their iniquity.
28-6:11 Also,
O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I
returned the captivity of my people.
28-8:1 Set the
trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as
an eagle against the house of the LORD, because they have transgressed my
covenant, and trespassed against my law.
28-8:4 They
have set up kings, but not by me: they have made
princes, and I knew it not: of their
silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.
28-11:8 How
shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall
I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine
heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.
29-2:5 Like
the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise
of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.
30-7:8 And
the LORD said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then
said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in
the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:
30-8:5 Saying,
When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we
may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and
the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?
30-9:4 And
though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the
sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set
mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.
31-1:4 Though
thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and
though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence
will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.
34-3:6 And
I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazingstock.
34-3:13 Behold,
thy people in the midst of thee are women:
the gates of thy land shall be set wide open
unto thine enemies: the fire shall devour thy bars.
35-2:1 I
will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the
tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer
when I am reproved.
35-2:9 Woe
to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from
the power of evil!
38-3:5 And
I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head.
So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and
clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
38-5:11 And
he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be
established, and set there upon her own base.
38-6:11 Then
take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of
Josedech, the high priest;
38-8:10 For
before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out
or came in because of the affliction: for I set
all men every one against his neighbour.
39-3:15 And
now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they
that tempt God are even delivered.
40-5:1 And
seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
40-5:14 Ye
are the light of the world. A city that is set
on an hill cannot be hid.
40-10:35 For
I am come to set a man at variance against his
father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against
her mother in law.
40-18:2 And
Jesus called a little child unto him, and set
him in the midst of them,
40-21:7 And
brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.
40-25:33 And
he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but
the goats on the left.
40-27:19 When
he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife
sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have
suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.
40-27:37 And
set up over his head his accusation written,
THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
41-1:32 And
at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto
him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.
41-4:21 And
he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a
bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
41-6:41 And
when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven,
and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them
to his disciples to set before them; and the
two fishes divided he among them all.
41-8:6 And
he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven
loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them;
and they did set them before the people.
41-8:7 And
they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before them.
41-9:12 And
he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things;
and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and
be set at nought.
41-9:36 And
he took a child, and set him in the midst of
them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
41-12:1 And
he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain
man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge
about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a
tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.
42-1:1 Forasmuch
as many have taken in hand to set forth in order
a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,
42-2:34 And
Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set
for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be
spoken against;
42-4:9 And
he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a
pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast
thyself down from hence:
42-4:18 The
Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to
heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering
of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them
that are bruised,
42-7:8 For
I also am a man set under authority, having
under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come,
and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
42-9:16 Then
he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he
blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set
before the multitude.
42-9:47 And
Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,
42-9:51 And
it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he
stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,
42-10:8 And
into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:
42-10:34 And
went to him, and bound up his wounds,
pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own
beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
42-11:6 For
a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?
42-19:35 And
they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they
set Jesus thereon.

Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and
mocked him, and arrayed him in a
gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.
43-2:6 And
there were set there six waterpots of stone, after
the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins
apiece.
43-2:10 And
saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set
forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until
now.
43-3:33 He
that hath received his testimony hath set to his
seal that God is true.
43-6:11 And
Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the
disciples, and the disciples to them that were set
down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
43-8:3 And
the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when
they had set her in the midst,
43-13:12 So
after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have
done to you?
43-19:29 Now
there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they
