42-21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in
divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
_______________________________________________________________________
02-4:8 And
it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the
voice of the first sign, that they will believe
the voice of the latter sign.
02-8:23 And
I will put a division between my people and thy people: to morrow shall this sign be.
02-13:9 And
it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine
hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the Lord’s law may be in thy
mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt.
02-31:13 Speak
thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall
keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations;
that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
02-31:17 It
is a sign
between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day
he rested, and was refreshed.
04-16:38 The censers of these sinners against
their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the LORD,
therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign
unto the children of Israel.
04-26:10 And the earth opened her mouth, and
swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, what time the
fire devoured two hundred and fifty men: and they became a sign.
05-6:8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets
between thine eyes.
05-11:18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my
words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets
between your eyes.
05-13:1 If there arise among you a prophet,
or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign
or a wonder,
05-13:2 And the sign
or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after
other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
05-28:46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.
06-4:6 That this may be a sign among you, that
when your children ask their fathers in
time to come, saying, What mean ye by
these stones?
07-6:17 And he said unto him, If now I have
found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign
that thou talkest with me.
07-20:38 Now there was an appointed sign between the men of Israel and the liers in wait,
that they should make a great flame with smoke rise up out of the city.
09-2:34 And this shall be a sign unto thee, that
shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die
both of them.
09-14:10 But if they say thus, Come up unto
us; then we will go up: for the LORD hath delivered them into our hand: and
this shall be a sign unto us.
11-13:3 And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the LORD hath
spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out.
11-13:5 The altar also was rent, and the
ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign
which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD.
12-19:29 And this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall
eat this year such things as grow of themselves, and in the second year that
which springeth of the same; and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant
vineyards, and eat the fruits thereof.
12-20:8 And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign
that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD
the third day?
12-20:9 And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will
do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or
go back ten degrees?
14-32:24 In those days Hezekiah was sick to
the death, and prayed unto the LORD: and he spake unto him, and he gave him a sign.
23-7:11 Ask thee a sign
of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.
23-7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall
give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall
conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
23-19:20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the
land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and
he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.
23-20:3 And the LORD said, Like as my
servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and
upon Ethiopia;
23-37:30 And this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall
eat this year such as groweth of
itself; and the second year that which springeth of the same: and in the third
year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof.
23-38:7 And this shall be a sign unto thee from the
LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken;
23-38:22 Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign
that I shall go up to the house of the LORD?
23-55:13 Instead of the thorn shall come up
the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it
shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign
that shall not be cut off.
23-66:19 And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of
them unto the nations, to Tarshish,
Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal,
and Javan, to the isles afar off,
that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare
my glory among the Gentiles.
24-6:1 O ye children of Benjamin, gather
yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa,
and set up a sign of fire in Bethhaccerem: for
evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction.
24-44:29 And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the
LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words
shall surely stand against you for evil:
26-4:3 Moreover take thou unto thee an
iron pan, and set it for a wall of
iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be
besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of
Israel.
26-12:6 In their sight shalt thou bear it upon thy shoulders, and carry it forth in the twilight: thou shalt
cover thy face, that thou see not the ground: for I have set thee for a sign
unto the house of Israel.
26-12:11 Say, I am your sign: like as I have done,
so shall it be done unto them: they shall remove and go into captivity.
26-14:8 And I will set my face against that
man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and
I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
26-20:12 Moreover also I gave them my
sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that
they might know that I am the LORD
that sanctify them.
26-20:20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they
shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may
know that I am the LORD your God.
26-24:24 Thus Ezekiel is unto you a sign: according to all that he hath done shall ye do:
and when this cometh, ye shall know that I am
the Lord GOD.
26-24:27 In that day shall thy mouth be opened
to him which is escaped, and thou shalt speak, and be no more dumb: and thou
shalt be a sign unto them; and they shall know
that I am the LORD.
26-39:15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he
set up a sign by it, till the buriers have
buried it in the valley of Hamongog.
27-6:8 Now, O king, establish the decree,
and sign the writing, that it be not changed,
according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
40-12:38 Then certain of the scribes and of
the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign
from thee.
40-12:39 But he answered and said unto them,
An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign;
and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
40-16:1 The Pharisees also with the
Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.
40-16:4 A wicked and adulterous generation
seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.
40-24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of
Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall
these things be? and what shall be the
sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
40-24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all
the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the
clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
40-26:48 Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is
he: hold him fast.
41-8:11 And the Pharisees came forth, and
began to question with him, seeking of him a sign
from heaven, tempting him.
41-8:12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit,
and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign?
verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be
given unto this generation.
41-13:4 Tell us, when shall these things be?
and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?
42-2:12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall
find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
42-2:34 And Simeon blessed them, and said
unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is
set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;
42-11:16 And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.
42-11:29 And when the people were gathered
thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign
be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
42-11:30 For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man
be to this generation.
42-21:7 And they asked him, saying, Master,
but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall
come to pass?
43-2:18 Then answered the Jews and said unto
him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that
thou doest these things?
43-6:30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe
thee? what dost thou work?
44-28:11 And after
three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the
isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux.
45-4:11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of
the faith which he had yet being
uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though
they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
46-1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
46-14:22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that
believe not: but prophesying serveth not
for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
66-15:1 And I saw
another sign in heaven, great and marvellous,
seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath
of God.

27-6:9 Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.
27-6:10 Now when Daniel knew that the
writing was signed, he went into his house; and
his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his
knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did
aforetime.
27-6:12 Then they came near, and spake
before the king concerning the king’s decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within
thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The
king answered and said, The thing is true,
according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
27-6:13 Then answered they and said before
the king, That Daniel, which is of
the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the
decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his
petition three times a day.

01-38:18 And he said, What pledge shall I give
thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy
bracelets, and thy staff that is in
thine hand. And he gave it her, and
came in unto her, and she conceived by him.
01-38:25 When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the
man, whose these are, am I with
child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose are these, the signet, and
bracelets, and staff.
02-28:11 With
the work of an engraver in stone, like the
engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the
two stones with the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be
set in ouches of gold.
02-28:21 And
the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according
to their names, like the engravings
of a signet; every one with his name shall they
be according to the twelve tribes.
02-28:36 And
thou shalt make a plate of pure gold,
and grave upon it, like the
engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.
02-39:14 And
the stones were according to the
names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, every one with his name, according to the
twelve tribes.
02-39:30 And
they made the plate of the holy crown of pure
gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like
to the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO
THE LORD.
24-22:24 As
I live, saith the LORD, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah
were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I
pluck thee thence;
27-6:17 And a stone was brought, and laid
upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet
of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.
37-2:23 In that day, saith the LORD of
hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith
the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I
have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.

02-39:6 And
they wrought onyx stones inclosed in ouches of gold, graven, as signets are graven, with the names of the children of
Israel.

44-21:26 Then Paul
took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them entered into the

them.
44-23:15 Now
therefore ye with the council signify to the
chief captain that he bring him down unto you to morrow, as though ye would
enquire something more perfectly concerning him: and we, or ever he come near,
are ready to kill him.
44-25:27 For it
seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid

01-1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in
the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be

it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt
take of the water of the river, and pour it
upon the dry land: and the water
which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.
02-4:17 And
thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.
02-4:28 And
Moses told Aaron all the words of the LORD who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him.
02-4:30 And
Aaron spake all the words which the LORD had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.
02-7:3 And
I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs
and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
02-10:1 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart,
and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my signs before him:
02-10:2 And
that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son’s son, what things
I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I
have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD.
04-14:11 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long
will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for
all the signs which I have shewed among them?
05-4:34 Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty
hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the
LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
05-6:22 And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon
Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:
05-7:19 The great temptations which thine
eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and
the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought
thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art
afraid.
05-26:8 And the LORD brought us forth out of
Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great
terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:
05-29:3 The great temptations which thine
eyes have seen, the signs, and those great
miracles:
05-34:11 In all the signs
and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh,
and to all his servants, and to all his land,
06-24:17 For the LORD our God, he it is that brought us up and our fathers
out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way
wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed:
09-10:7 And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee.
09-10:9 And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave
him another heart: and all those signs came to
pass that day.
16-9:10 And shewedst signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all
the people of his land: for thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them.
So didst thou get thee a name, as it is this
day.
19-74:4 Thine enemies roar in the midst of
thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs.
19-74:9 We see not our signs: there is no
more any prophet: neither is there among
us any that knoweth how long.
19-78:43 How he had wrought his signs in Egypt, and his wonders in the field of Zoan:
19-105:27 They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
23-8:18 Behold, I and the children whom the
LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of
hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.
24-10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the
way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs
of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
24-32:20 Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and
among other men; and hast made thee a
name, as at this day;
24-32:21 And hast brought forth thy people
Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and
with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with
great terror;
27-4:2 I thought it good to shew the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought
toward me.
27-4:3 How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his
dominion is from generation to
generation.
27-6:27 He delivereth and rescueth, and he
worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in
earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
40-16:3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the
sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites,
ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
40-24:24 For there shall arise false Christs,
and false prophets, and shall shew great signs
and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible,
they shall deceive the very elect.
41-13:22 For false Christs and false prophets
shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to
seduce, if it were possible, even the
elect.
41-16:17 And these signs
shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they
shall speak with new tongues;
41-16:20 And they went forth, and preached every
where, the Lord working with them, and
confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
42-1:62 And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called.
42-21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in
divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
42-21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars;
and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves
roaring;
43-4:48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye
see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.
43-20:30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his
disciples, which are not written in this book:
44-2:19 And I
will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in
the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
44-2:22 Ye men of
Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by
miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by
him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
44-2:43 And fear
came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs
were done by the apostles.
44-4:30 By
stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs
and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
44-5:12 And by
the hands of the apostles were many signs and
wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in
Solomon’s porch.
44-7:36 He
brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs
in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.
44-8:13 Then
Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with
Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs
which were done.
44-14:3 Long time
therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the
word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders
to be done by their hands.
45-15:19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God;
so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached
the gospel of Christ.
47-12:12 Truly the signs
of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.
53-2:9 Even
him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
58-2:4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts
of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

04-21:21 And Israel
sent messengers unto Sihon king
of the Amorites, saying,
04-21:23 And Sihon would not suffer Israel to
pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out
against Israel into the wilderness: and he came to Jahaz, and fought against
Israel.
04-21:26 For
Heshbon was the city of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who
had fought against the former king of Moab, and taken all his land out of his
hand, even unto Arnon.
04-21:27 Wherefore
they that speak in proverbs say, Come into Heshbon, let the city of Sihon be built and prepared:
04-21:28 For there
is a fire gone out of Heshbon, a flame from the city of Sihon: it hath consumed Ar of Moab, and the lords of the high places of
Arnon.
04-21:29 Woe to
thee, Moab! thou art undone, O people of Chemosh: he hath given his sons that
escaped, and his daughters, into captivity unto Sihon king of the Amorites.
04-21:34 And the
LORD said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into thy hand, and
all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do to him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which
dwelt at Heshbon.
04-32:33 And Moses
gave unto them, even to the children of
Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son
of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king
of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the
cities thereof in the coasts, even the
cities of the country round about.
05-1:4 After he
had slain Sihon the
king of the Amorites, which dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, which
dwelt at Astaroth in Edrei:
05-2:24 Rise ye
up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into
thine hand Sihon the
Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.
05-2:26 And I sent
messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth unto Sihon king of Heshbon with words of peace, saying,
05-2:30 But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let
us pass by him: for the LORD thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart
obstinate, that he might deliver him into thy hand, as appeareth this day.
05-2:31 And the
LORD said unto me, Behold, I have begun to give Sihon and his land before thee: begin to possess, that
thou mayest inherit his land.
05-2:32 Then Sihon came out against us, he and
all his people, to fight at Jahaz.
05-3:2 And the
LORD said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his people,
and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which
dwelt at Heshbon.
05-3:6 And we
utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men,
women, and children, of every city.
05-4:46 On this
side Jordan, in the valley over against Bethpeor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who
dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel smote, after they were
come forth out of Egypt:
05-29:7 And when
ye came unto this place, Sihon the
king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us unto battle,
and we smote them:
05-31:4 And the
LORD shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the
land of them, whom he destroyed.
06-2:10 For we have
heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out
of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.
06-9:10 And all
that he did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were beyond Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, which was at Ashtaroth.
06-12:2 Sihon king of the Amorites, who
dwelt in Heshbon, and ruled from
Aroer, which is upon the bank of the
river Arnon, and from the middle of the river, and from half Gilead, even unto
the river Jabbok, which is the border
of the children of Ammon;
06-12:5 And
reigned in mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of
the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.
06-13:10 And all
the cities of Sihon king of
the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the children of
Ammon;
06-13:21 And all
the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon,
whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur,
and Reba, which were dukes of Sihon, dwelling in the country.
06-13:27 And in the
valley, Betharam, and Bethnimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the
kingdom of Sihon king
of Heshbon, Jordan and his border, even unto the edge of the sea of
Chinnereth on the other side Jordan eastward.
07-11:19 And
Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king
of the Amorites, the king of Heshbon; and Israel said unto him, Let us pass, we
pray thee, through thy land into my place.
07-11:20 But
Sihon trusted not Israel to pass
through his coast: but Sihon
gathered all his people together, and pitched in Jahaz, and fought against
Israel.
07-11:21 And
the LORD God of Israel delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and
they smote them: so Israel possessed all the land of the Amorites, the
inhabitants of that country.
11-4:19 Geber
the son of Uri was in the country of
Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of
Og king of Bashan; and he was the
only officer which was in the land.
16-9:22 Moreover
thou gavest them kingdoms and nations, and didst divide them into corners: so
they possessed the land of Sihon, and
the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan.
19-135:11 Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og
king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:
19-136:19 Sihon king of the Amorites: for his
mercy endureth for ever:
24-48:45 They
that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon because of the force: but a fire
shall come forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner
of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.

06-13:3 From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanite: five lords
of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the
Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites:
23-23:3 And
by great waters the seed of Sihor, the
harvest of the river, is her revenue;
and she is a mart of nations.
24-2:18 And
now what hast thou to do in the way of Egypt, to drink the waters of Sihor? or what hast thou to do in
the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of the river?

44-15:22 Then
pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men
of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
44-15:27 We have
sent therefore Judas and Silas, who
shall also tell you the same things
by mouth.
44-15:32 And Judas
and Silas, being
prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.
44-15:34 Notwithstanding
it pleased Silas to
abide there still.
44-15:40 And Paul
chose Silas, and
departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.
44-16:19 And when
her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the
rulers,
44-16:25 And at
midnight Paul and Silas
prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
44-16:29 Then he
called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before
Paul and Silas,
44-17:4 And some
of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and
of the chief women not a few.
44-17:10 And the
brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the
Jews.
44-17:14 And then
immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it were to the sea: but Silas and Timotheus abode there
still.
44-17:15 And they
that conducted Paul brought him unto Athens: and receiving a commandment unto Silas and Timotheus for to come to
him with all speed, they departed.
44-18:5 And when Silas and Timotheus were come from
Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.

07-3:19 But
he himself turned again from the quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret errand unto thee, O king:
who said, Keep silence. And all that stood by
him went out from him.
18-4:16 It
stood still, but I could not discern the form thereof: an image was before mine eyes, there was silence,
and I heard a voice, saying,
18-29:21 Unto
me men gave ear, and waited, and kept
silence at my counsel.
18-31:34 Did
I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I
kept silence, and went not out of the door?
19-31:18 Let
the lying lips be put to silence; which speak
grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.
19-32:3 When
I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my
roaring all the day long.
19-35:22 This thou hast seen, O LORD: keep not silence: O LORD, be not far from me.
19-39:2 I
was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was
stirred.
19-50:3 Our
God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a
fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
19-50:21 These
things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.
19-83:1 Keep
not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and
be not still, O God.
19-94:17 Unless
the LORD had been my help, my soul
had almost dwelt in silence.
19-115:17 The
dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.
21-3:7 A
time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence,
and a time to speak;
23-15:1 The
burden of Moab. Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence;
because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence;
23-41:1 Keep
silence before me, O islands; and let the people
renew their strength: let them come
near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment.
23-62:6 I
have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make
mention of the LORD, keep not silence.
23-65:6 Behold,
it is written before me: I will not
keep silence, but will recompense, even
recompense into their bosom,
24-8:14 Why
do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced
cities, and let us be silent there: for the LORD our God hath put us to silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because
we have sinned against the LORD.
25-2:10 The
elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, and keep silence: they have cast up
dust upon their heads; they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins
of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.

sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he
hath borne it upon him.

the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for
it is an evil time.
30-8:3 And
the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord GOD: there shall be many dead bodies in every
place; they shall cast them forth
with silence.
35-2:20 But
the LORD is in his holy temple: let
all the earth keep silence before him.
40-22:34 But when
the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.
44-15:12 Then all
the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to
Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among
the Gentiles by them.
44-21:40 And when
he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the hand
unto the people. And when there was made a great silence,
he spake unto them in the Hebrew
tongue, saying,
44-22:2 (And when
they heard that he spake in the Hebrew tongue to them, they kept the more silence: and he saith,)
46-14:28 But
if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence
in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

your women keep silence in the churches: for it
is not permitted unto them to speak; but they
are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
54-2:11 Let the
woman learn in silence with all subjection.
54-2:12 But I
suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
60-2:15 For so is
the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence
the ignorance of foolish men:
66-8:1 And when
he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence
in heaven about the space of half an hour.

my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season,
and am not silent.
19-28:1 Unto
thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent
to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the
pit.
19-30:12 To
the end that my glory may sing praise
to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I
will give thanks unto thee for ever.
19-31:17 Let
me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be
ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.

thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O
daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of
kingdoms.
24-8:14 Why
do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced
cities, and let us be silent there: for the LORD
our God hath put us to silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because we
have sinned against the LORD.
38-2:13 Be
silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised
up out of his holy habitation.

broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast
