and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for
man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

07-1:8 Now the children of Judah had
fought against Jerusalem, and had taken it, and smitten
it with the edge of the sword, and set the city on fire.
07-20:32 And the children of Benjamin said,
They are smitten
down before us, as at the first. But the children of Israel said, Let us flee,
and draw them from the city unto the highways.
07-20:36 So the children of Benjamin saw that
they were smitten: for the men of Israel gave
place to the Benjamites, because they trusted unto the liers in wait which they
had set beside Gibeah.
07-20:39 And when the men of Israel retired in
the battle, Benjamin began to smite and kill
