01-4:23 And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah
and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a
young man to my hurt.
01-11:1 And the whole earth was of one
language, and of one speech.
01-11:7 Go to, let us go down, and there
confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.
02-4:10 And
Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am
not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy
servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.
05-22:14 And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon
her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a
maid:
05-22:17 And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against
her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter’s
virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
05-32:2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain,
my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small
rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
10-14:20 To fetch about this form of speech hath thy servant Joab done this thing: and my
lord is wise, according to the wisdom
of an angel of God, to know all things that
are in the earth.
10-19:11 And king David sent to Zadok and to
Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak unto the elders of Judah, saying, Why are
ye the last to bring the king back to his house? seeing the speech of all Israel is come to the king, even to his house.
11-3:10 And the speech
pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.
14-32:18 Then they cried with a loud voice in
the Jews’ speech unto the people of Jerusalem
that were on the wall, to affright
them, and to trouble them; that they might take the city.
16-13:24 And their children spake half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews’
language, but according to the language of each people.
18-12:20 He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding
of the aged.
18-13:17 Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.
18-21:2 Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations.
18-24:25 And if it be not so now, who
will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing
worth?
18-29:22 After my words they spake not again;
and my speech dropped upon them.
18-37:19 Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.
19-17:6 I have called upon thee, for thou
wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.
19-19:2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
19-19:3 There
is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
20-7:21 With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of
her lips she forced him.
20-17:7 Excellent speech
becometh not a fool: much less do lying lips a prince.
22-4:3 Thy lips
are like a thread of scarlet, and thy
speech is comely:
thy temples are like a piece of a
pomegranate within thy locks.
23-28:23 Give ye ear, and hear my voice;
hearken, and hear my speech.
23-29:4 And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and
thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy
voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and
thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.
23-32:9 Rise up, ye women that are at ease;
hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.
23-33:19 Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a
people of a deeper speech than thou canst
perceive; of a stammering tongue, that
thou canst not understand.
24-31:23 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God
of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech in
the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their
captivity; The LORD bless thee, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness.
26-1:24 And when they went, I heard the
noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the
Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of
an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.
26-3:5 For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech
and of an hard language, but to the
house of Israel;
26-3:6 Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst
not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have hearkened unto
thee.
35-3:2 O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was
afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the
years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
40-26:73 And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to
Peter, Surely thou also art one of
them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.
41-7:32 And they bring unto him one that was
deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and
they beseech him to put his hand upon him.
41-14:70 And he denied it again. And a little
after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean,
and thy speech agreeth thereto.
43-8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because
ye cannot hear my word.
44-14:11 And when the people saw what Paul had
done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech
of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.
44-20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came
together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the
morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
46-2:1 And I, brethren, when I came to
you, came not with excellency of speech or of
wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
46-2:4 And my speech
and my preaching was not with
enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of
power:
46-4:19 But I will come to you shortly, if
the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of
them which are puffed up, but the power.
47-3:12 Seeing then that we have such hope,
we use great plainness of speech:
47-7:4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you,
great is my glorying of you: I am
filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.
47-10:10 For his letters, say they, are weighty
and powerful; but his bodily presence
is weak, and his speech contemptible.
47-11:6 But though I be rude in speech, yet not in
knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.
51-4:6 Let your speech
be alway with grace, seasoned with
salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
56-2:8 Sound speech,
that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed,
having no evil thing to say of you.

04-12:8 With him will I speak mouth to
mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches;
and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not
afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
18-6:26 Do ye imagine to reprove words, and
the speeches of one that is desperate, which are as wind?
18-15:3 Should he reason with unprofitable
talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no
good?
18-32:14 Now he hath not directed his words against me: neither will I
answer him with your speeches.
18-33:1 Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my
speeches, and hearken to all my words.
45-16:18 For they that are such serve not our Lord
Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
65-1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to
convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they
have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have
spoken against him.

camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
42-1:22 And when he came out, he could not
speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple:
for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.
44-9:7 And the men which journeyed with
him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but
seeing no man.

gathered up the arrows, and came to his master.
10-15:14 And David said unto all his servants
that were with him at Jerusalem,
Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else
escape from Absalom: make speed to depart,
lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and smite the city with
the edge of the sword.
11-12:18 Then king Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was over the tribute; and all Israel
stoned him with stones, that he died. Therefore king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to
Jerusalem.
14-10:18 Then king Rehoboam sent Hadoram that was over the tribute; and the children
of Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. But king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.
15-6:12 And the God that hath caused his
name to dwell there destroy all kings and people, that shall put to their hand
to alter and to destroy this house of
God which is at Jerusalem. I Darius
have made a decree; let it be done with speed.
23-5:19 That say, Let him make speed, and hasten
his work, that we may see it: and let
the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!
23-5:26 And he will lift up an ensign to the
nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and,
behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:
44-17:15 And they that conducted Paul brought
him unto Athens: and receiving a commandment unto Silas and Timotheus for to
come to him with all speed, they departed.
63-1:10 If there come any unto you, and
bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
63-1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

01-44:11 Then they speedily
took down every man his sack to the ground, and opened every man his sack.
09-27:1 And David said in his heart, I shall
now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there
is nothing better for me than that I should speedily
escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek
me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.
10-17:16 Now therefore send quickly, and tell
David, saying, Lodge not this night in the plains of the wilderness, but speedily pass over; lest the king be swallowed up, and
all the people that are with him.
14-35:13 And they roasted the passover with
fire according to the ordinance: but the other
holy offerings sod they in pots,
and in caldrons, and in pans, and divided them
speedily among all the people.
15-6:13 Then Tatnai, governor on this side the
river, Shetharboznai, and their companions, according to that which Darius the
king had sent, so they did speedily.
15-7:17 That thou mayest buy speedily with this money bullocks, rams, lambs, with
their meat offerings and their drink offerings, and offer them upon the altar
of the house of your God which is in
Jerusalem.
15-7:21 And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers
which are beyond the river, that
whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall
require of you, it be done speedily,
15-7:26 And whosoever will not do the law of
thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or
to imprisonment.
17-2:9 And the maiden pleased him, and she
obtained kindness of him; and he speedily gave
her her things for purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven
maidens, which were meet to be given
her, out of the king’s house: and he preferred her and her maids unto the best place of the house of the women.
19-31:2 Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me
speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house
of defence to save me.
19-69:17 And hide not thy face from thy
servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.
19-79:8 O remember not against us former
iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent
us: for we are brought very low.
19-102:2 Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear
unto me: in the day when I call
answer me speedily.
19-143:7 Hear me speedily,
O LORD: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them
that go down into the pit.
21-8:11 Because sentence against an evil
work is not executed speedily, therefore the
heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
23-58:8 Then shall thy light break forth as
the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily:
and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy
rereward.
29-3:4 Yea, and what have ye to do with
me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a
recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your
recompence upon your own head;
38-8:21 And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us
go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek
the LORD of hosts: I will go also.
42-18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh,
shall he find faith on the earth?

their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
19-90:9 For all our days are passed away in
thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.

which is not bread? and your labour for that
which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul
delight itself in fatness.
44-20:16 For Paul had determined to sail by
Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in
Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of
Pentecost.
47-12:15 And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly
I love you, the less I be loved.

is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a
foolish man spendeth it up.
20-29:3 Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father:
but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth
his substance.
21-6:12 For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what
shall be after him under the sun?

01-21:15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one
of the shrubs.
01-47:18 When that year was ended, they came unto
him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent;
my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of
my lord, but our bodies, and our lands:
03-26:20 And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her
increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.
07-19:11 And
when they were by Jebus, the day
was far spent; and the servant said unto his

and lodge in it.
09-9:7 Then said Saul to his servant, But,
behold, if we go, what shall we bring
the man? for the bread is spent in our vessels,
and there is not a present to bring

18-7:6 My days are swifter than a weaver’s
shuttle, and are spent without hope.
19-31:10 For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my
strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.
23-49:4 Then I said, I have laboured in
vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and
in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the LORD, and my work with my

physicians, and had spent all that she had, and
was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
41-6:35 And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is
a desert place, and now the time is far
passed:
42-8:43 And a woman having an issue of blood
twelve years, which had spent all her living
upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,
42-15:14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land;
and he began to be in want.
42-24:29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide
with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.

the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
47-12:15 And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you,
the less I be loved.

spice, and oil for the light, and for the

come into my garden, my sister, my spouse:
I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have
eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O
friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved.

01-43:11 And their father Israel said unto
them, If it must be so now, do this;
take of the best fruits in the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a
present, a little balm, and a little honey, spices,
and myrrh, nuts, and almonds:
02-25:6 Oil
for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for
sweet incense,
02-30:23 Take
thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure
myrrh five hundred shekels, and of
sweet cinnamon half so much, even two
hundred and fifty shekels, and of
sweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels,
02-30:34 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Take unto thee sweet spices,
stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; these sweet
spices with pure frankincense: of each shall
there be a like weight:
02-35:8 And
oil for the light, and spices for anointing oil,
and for the sweet incense,
02-37:29 And
he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.
11-10:2 And she came to Jerusalem with a very
great train, with camels that bare spices, and
very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she
communed with him of all that was in her heart.

twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great
store, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king
Solomon.
11-10:25 And they brought every man his
present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.

shewed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and
the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all
that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his
dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.
13-9:29 Some
of them also were appointed to oversee

14-32:27 And Hezekiah had exceeding much
riches and honour: and he made himself treasuries for silver, and for gold, and
for precious stones, and for spices, and for
shields, and for all manner of pleasant jewels;
22-4:10 How fair
is thy love, my sister, my spouse!
how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than
all spices!
22-4:14 Spikenard
and saffron; calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; myrrh and
aloes, with all the chief spices:
22-4:16 Awake, O
north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow
out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.
22-5:13 His
cheeks are as a bed of spices, as sweet
flowers: his lips like lilies,
dropping sweet smelling myrrh.
22-6:2 My
beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices,
to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
22-8:14 Make
haste, my beloved, and be thou like to a roe or to a young hart upon the
mountains of spices.
23-39:2 And Hezekiah was glad of them, and
shewed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the
spices, and the precious ointment, and all the

to the commandment.
42-24:1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the
morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices
which they had prepared, and certain others
with them.
