him, even him and his nurse, in the
bedchamber from Athaliah, so that he was not slain.
14-22:11 But
Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king’s sons that were slain,

whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live: before our brethren discern
thou what is thine with me, and take it to thee. For Jacob knew not that
Rachel had stolen them.

was torn of beasts I brought not unto

dungeon.

thieves came to thee, if robbers by night, (how art thou cut off!) would they

sake and thine often infirmities.

shall come to pass, that instead of
sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead
of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher
a girding of sackcloth; and burning
instead of beauty.

thither were all the flocks gathered: and they rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the sheep,

his place.

said, We cannot, until all the flocks be gathered together, and till they roll the stone from the well’s mouth; then we water the sheep.

the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood,
and in vessels of stone.
02-8:26 And Moses

Egyptians to the LORD our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the
Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone
us?

their names on one stone, and the other six names of the rest on the
other stone, according to their birth.

unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two

forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and
let all the congregation stone him.

stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born
in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of
the LORD, shall be put to death.

spake to the children of Israel, that they should bring forth him that had
cursed out of the camp, and stone him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the LORD

any stone, wherewith a man may die, seeing him not, and cast it upon him, that he die, and was
not his enemy, neither sought his harm:

declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them
upon two tables of stone.

ye shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone,
which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
05-5:22 These
words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of
the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he
added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone,
and delivered them unto me.
05-9:9 When I
was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone,
even the tables of the covenant which
the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights,

LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone
written with the finger of God; and on them was
written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the

shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of
her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought
folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father’s house: so shalt thou put
evil away from among you.
05-22:24 Then ye
shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones
that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his
neighbour’s wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
05-28:36 The LORD
shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation

God.

himself.

golden mice, according to the number

house, when it was in building, was built of stone
made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor

house, while it was in building.

cedar of the house within was carved
with knops and open flowers: all was cedar;

built the inner court with three rows of hewed stone,
and a row of cedar beams.

two tables of stone, which Moses put there at

two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou
didst blaspheme God and the king. And then
carry him out, and stone him, that he may
die.
12-3:25 And they
beat down the cities, and on every good piece of land cast every man his stone, and filled it; and they stopped all the wells
of water, and felled all the good trees: only in Kirharaseth left they the stones thereof; howbeit the slingers went about it, and smote it.
12-12:12 And to
masons, and hewers of stone, and to buy timber
and hewed stone to repair the breaches of the
house of the LORD, and for all that was laid out for the house to repair it.
12-19:18 And have
cast their gods into the fire: for they were
no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone:
therefore they have destroyed them.
12-22:6 Unto
carpenters, and builders, and masons, and to buy timber and hewn stone to repair the house.
13-22:14 Now,
behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the LORD an hundred
thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of
brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto.
13-22:15 Moreover there are workmen with thee in
abundance, hewers and workers of stone and
timber, and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work.
14-2:14 The son of
a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father was a man of Tyre, skilful to work in gold, and in silver, in
brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in
purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson; also to grave any manner of
graving, and to find out every device which shall be put to him, with thy
cunning men, and with the cunning men of my lord David thy father.
14-34:11 Even to
the artificers and builders gave they it,
to buy hewn stone, and timber for couplings,
and to floor the houses which the kings of Judah had destroyed.
16-4:3 Now
Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he
said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down
their stone wall.
16-9:11 And thou
didst divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the
sea on the dry land; and their persecutors thou threwest into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters.
18-28:2 Iron is taken out of the earth, and brass is molten out of the stone.
18-38:6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who
laid the corner stone thereof;
18-38:30 The waters are hid as with
a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
18-41:24 His heart is as firm as a stone;
yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone.
19-91:12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot
against a stone.
19-118:22 The stone
which the builders refused is become
the head stone
of the corner.
20-17:8 A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it: whithersoever it turneth, it
prospereth.
20-24:31 And, lo,
it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles
had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall
thereof was broken down.
20-26:8 As he that
bindeth a stone in a sling, so is he that giveth honour to a fool.
20-26:27 Whoso
diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.
20-27:3 A stone is heavy,
and the sand weighty; but a fool’s wrath is
heavier than them both.
23-8:14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; but
for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of
offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the
inhabitants of Jerusalem.
23-28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD,
Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone,
a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a
sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
23-37:19 And have cast their gods into the
fire: for they were no gods, but the
work of men’s hands, wood and stone: therefore
they have destroyed them.
24-2:27 Saying to
a stock, Thou art my father; and to a
stone, Thou hast brought me forth: for they have
turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their
trouble they will say, Arise, and save us.
24-51:26 And they
shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor
a stone for foundations; but thou shalt be
desolate for ever, saith the LORD.
24-51:63 And it
shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it,
and cast it into the midst of Euphrates:
25-3:9 He hath
inclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made
my paths crooked.
25-3:53 They have
cut off my life in the dungeon, and cast a stone
upon me.
26-1:26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the
appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the
likeness of the throne was the
likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.
26-10:1 Then I looked, and, behold, in the
firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as
it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the
likeness of a throne.
26-10:9 And when I looked, behold the four
wheels by the cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another
cherub: and the appearance of the wheels was
as the colour of a beryl stone.
26-16:40 They shall also bring up a company
against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.
26-20:32 And that which cometh into your mind
shall not be at all, that ye say, We will be as the heathen, as the families of
the countries, to serve wood and stone.
26-23:47 And the company shall stone them with stones,
and dispatch them with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their
daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.
26-28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of
God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl,
the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and
gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in
the day that thou wast created.
26-40:42 And the four tables were of hewn stone
for the burnt offering, of a cubit and an half long, and a cubit and an half
broad, and one cubit high: whereupon also they laid the instruments wherewith
they slew the burnt offering and the sacrifice.
27-2:34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image
upon his feet that were of iron and
clay, and brake them to pieces.
27-2:35 Then was the iron, the clay, the
brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the
chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no
place was found for them: and the stone that
smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
27-2:45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and
that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the
gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass
hereafter: and the dream is certain,
and the interpretation thereof sure.
27-5:4 They drank wine, and praised the
gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.
27-5:23 But hast lifted up thyself against
the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee,
and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them;
and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God
in whose hand thy breath is, and
whose are all thy ways, hast thou not
glorified:
27-6:17 And a stone
was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with
his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be
changed concerning Daniel.
30-5:11 Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have
built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not
dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine
of them.
35-2:11 For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of
the timber shall answer it.
35-2:19 Woe unto
him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone,
Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid
over with gold and silver, and there is no
breath at all in the midst of it.

this day and upward, from before a stone was
laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD:
38-3:9 For

upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof,
saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one
day.

made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words
which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets:

that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone

read in the scriptures, The stone which the
builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the
Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.
40-28:2 And, behold, there was a great
earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and
rolled back the stone from the door, and sat
upon it.
41-12:10 And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head

upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

him a serpent?

within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone
upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
42-20:6 But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a
prophet.
42-20:17 And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is
written, The stone which the builders rejected,
the same is become the head of the corner?
42-20:18 Whosoever shall fall upon that stone
shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
42-21:6 As for these
things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be
left one stone upon another, that shall not be
thrown down.
42-23:53 And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it
in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein
never man before was laid.
42-24:2 And they found the stone
rolled away from the sepulchre.

me?

thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone
thee; and goest thou thither again?

shall not be confounded.

therefore which believe he is precious:
but unto them which be disobedient, the stone
