01-35:2 Then Jacob said unto his household,
and to all that were with him, Put
away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:
01-35:4 And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were
in their hand, and all their earrings
which were in their ears; and Jacob
hid them under the oak which was by
Shechem.
01-42:7 And Joseph saw his brethren, and he
knew them, but made himself strange unto them,
and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they
said, From the land of Canaan to buy food.
02-2:22 And
she bare him a son, and he called his
name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange
land.
02-18:3 And
her two sons; of which the name of the one was
Gershom; for he said, I have been an alien in a strange
land:
02-21:8 If
she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let
her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange
nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.
02-30:9 Ye
shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor
burnt sacrifice, nor meat offering; neither shall ye pour drink offering
thereon.
03-10:1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of
Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense
thereon, and offered strange fire before the
LORD, which he commanded them not.
04-3:4 And Nadab and Abihu died before the
LORD, when they offered strange fire before the
LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and
Ithamar ministered in the priest’s office in the sight of Aaron their father.
04-26:61 And Nadab and Abihu died, when they
offered strange fire before the LORD.
05-32:12 So
the LORD alone did lead him, and there
was no strange god with him.
05-32:16 They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with
abominations provoked they him to anger.
06-24:20 If ye forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and
consume you, after that he hath done you good.
06-24:23 Now therefore put away, said he, the strange
gods which are among you, and incline
your heart unto the LORD God of Israel.
07-10:16 And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the LORD: and
his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.
07-11:2 And Gilead’s wife bare him sons; and
his wife’s sons grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou
shalt not inherit in our father’s house; for thou art the son of a strange woman.
09-7:3 And Samuel spake unto all the house
of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare
your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of
the hand of the Philistines.
11-11:1 But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh,
women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites;
11-11:8 And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto
their gods.
12-19:24 I have digged and drunk strange waters, and with the sole of my feet have I
dried up all the rivers of besieged places.
14-14:3 For he took away the altars of the strange gods, and
the high places, and brake down the images, and cut down the groves:
14-33:15 And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the
LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the
LORD, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out
of the city.
15-10:2 And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answered and
said unto Ezra, We have trespassed against our God, and have taken strange wives of the people of the land: yet now there
is hope in Israel concerning this thing.
15-10:10 And Ezra the priest stood up, and
said unto them, Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange
wives, to increase the trespass of Israel.
15-10:11 Now therefore make confession unto
the LORD God of your fathers, and do his pleasure: and separate yourselves from
the people of the land, and from the strange
wives.
15-10:14 Let now our rulers of all the
congregation stand, and let all them which have taken strange
wives in our cities come at appointed times, and with them the elders of every
city, and the judges thereof, until the fierce wrath of our God for this matter
be turned from us.
15-10:17 And they made an end with all the men
that had taken strange wives by the first day of
the first month.
15-10:18 And among the sons of the priests
there were found that had taken strange wives: namely, of the sons of Jeshua the son of
Jozadak, and his brethren; Maaseiah, and Eliezer, and Jarib, and Gedaliah.
15-10:44 All these had taken strange wives: and some
of them had wives by whom they had children.
16-13:27 Shall we then hearken unto you to do
all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives?
18-19:3 These ten times have ye reproached
me: ye are not ashamed that ye make
yourselves strange to me.
18-19:17 My breath is strange
to my wife, though I intreated for the children’s sake of mine own body.
18-31:3 Is
not destruction to the wicked? and a strange
punishment to the workers of
iniquity?
19-44:20 If we have forgotten the name of our
God, or stretched out our hands to a strange
god;
19-81:9 There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any
strange god.
19-114:1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the
house of Jacob from a people of strange
language;
19-137:4 How shall we sing the Lord’s song in
a strange land?
19-144:7 Send thine hand from above; rid me,
and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange
children;
19-144:11 Rid me, and deliver me from the hand
of strange children, whose mouth speaketh
vanity, and their right hand is a
right hand of falsehood:
20-2:16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even
from the stranger which flattereth
with her words;
20-5:3 For the lips of a strange woman drop as
an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother
than oil:
20-5:20 And why wilt thou, my son, be
ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the
bosom of a stranger?
20-6:24 To keep thee from the evil woman,
from the flattery of the tongue of a strange
woman.
20-7:5 That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.
20-20:16 Take his garment that is surety for a stranger: and take a pledge of him
for a strange woman.
20-21:8 The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right.
20-22:14 The mouth of strange
women is a deep pit: he that is
abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein.
20-23:27 For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman
is a narrow pit.
20-23:33 Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse
things.
20-27:13 Take his garment that is surety for a
stranger, and take a pledge of him for a strange
woman.
23-17:10 Because thou hast forgotten the God
of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength,
therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:
23-28:21 For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do
his work, his strange work; and bring to pass
his act, his strange act.
23-43:12 I have declared, and have saved, and
I have shewed, when there was no strange god among
you: therefore ye are my witnesses,
saith the LORD, that I am God.
24-2:21 Yet I had planted thee a noble vine,
wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me?
24-5:19 And it shall come to pass, when ye
shall say, Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have
forsaken me, and served strange gods in your
land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that
is not yours.
24-8:19 Behold the voice of the cry of the
daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country: Is not the LORD in Zion? is not her king in her? Why have they
provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities?
26-3:5 For thou art not sent to a people of a strange
speech and of an hard language, but to
the house of Israel;
26-3:6 Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words
thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have
hearkened unto thee.
27-11:39 Thus shall he do in the most strong
holds with a strange god, whom he shall
acknowledge and increase with glory:
and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.
28-5:7 They have dealt treacherously
against the LORD: for they have begotten strange
children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.
28-8:12 I have written to him the great
things of my law, but they were
counted as a strange thing.
36-1:8 And it shall come to pass in the
day of the LORD’S sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s
children, and all such as are clothed with strange
apparel.
39-2:11 Judah hath dealt treacherously, and
an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned
the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.
42-5:26 And they were all amazed, and they
glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.
44-7:6 And God spake on this wise, That
his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and
that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.
44-17:18 Then certain philosophers of the
Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this
babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and
the resurrection.
44-17:20 For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore
what these things mean.
44-26:11 And I punished them oft in every
synagogue, and compelled them to
blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange
cities.
58-11:9 By faith he sojourned in the land of
promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac
and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
58-13:9 Be not carried about with divers and
strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not
with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
60-4:4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
60-4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try
you, as though some strange thing happened unto
you:
65-1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the
cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and
going after strange flesh, are set forth for an
example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

05-32:27 Were it not that I feared the wrath
of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest
they should say, Our hand is high,
and the LORD hath not done all this.

01-15:13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a
surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a
land that is not theirs, and shall
serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
01-17:8 And I will give unto thee, and to
thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger,
all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
01-17:12 And he that is eight days old shall
be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born
in the house, or bought with money of any stranger,
which is not of thy seed.
01-17:27 And all the men of his house, born in
the house, and bought with money of the stranger,
were circumcised with him.
01-23:4 I am a stranger and a sojourner with
you: give me a possession of a buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead
out of my sight.
01-28:4 And give thee the blessing of
Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein
thou art a stranger, which God gave unto
Abraham.
01-37:1 And Jacob dwelt in the land wherein
his father was a stranger, in the land of
Canaan.
02-2:22 And
she bare him a son, and he called his
name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger
in a strange land.
02-12:19 Seven
days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that
which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of
Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the
land.
02-12:43 And
the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This is
the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger
eat thereof:
02-12:48 And
when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will
keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let
him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for
no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.
02-12:49 One
law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger
that sojourneth among you.
02-20:10 But
the seventh day is the sabbath of the
LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do
any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy
maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger
that is within thy gates:
02-22:21 Thou
shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him:
for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
02-23:9 Also
thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know
the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers
in the land of Egypt.
02-23:12 Six
days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine
ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.
02-29:33 And
they shall eat those things wherewith the atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify them: but a stranger shall not eat thereof, because they are holy.
02-30:33 Whosoever
compoundeth any like it, or whosoever
putteth any of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people.
03-16:29 And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at
all, whether it be one of your own
country, or a stranger that sojourneth among
you:
03-17:12 Therefore I said unto the children of
Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood.
03-17:15 And every soul that eateth that which
died of itself, or that which was
torn with beasts, whether it be one
of your own country, or a stranger, he shall
both wash his clothes, and bathe himself in
water, and be unclean until the even: then shall he be clean.
03-18:26 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes
and my judgments, and shall not commit any
of these abominations; neither any
of your own nation, nor any stranger that
sojourneth among you:
03-19:10 And thou shalt not glean thy
vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every
grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the
LORD your God.
03-19:33 And if a stranger
sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.
03-19:34 But
the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be
unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were
strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the
LORD your God.
03-22:10 There shall no stranger eat of the
holy thing: a sojourner of the priest, or an hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing.
03-22:12 If the priest’s daughter also be married unto a stranger,
she may not eat of an offering of the holy things.
03-22:13 But if the priest’s daughter be a
widow, or divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her father’s house,
as in her youth, she shall eat of her father’s meat: but there shall no stranger eat thereof.
03-23:22 And when ye reap the harvest of your
land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou
reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt
leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I
am the LORD your God.
03-24:16 And he that blasphemeth the name of
the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and
all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he
blasphemeth the name of the LORD, shall
be put to death.
03-24:22 Ye shall have one manner of law, as
well for the stranger, as for one of your own
country: for I am the LORD your God.
03-25:6 And the sabbath of the land shall be
meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy
hired servant, and for thy stranger that
sojourneth with thee,
03-25:35 And if thy brother be waxen poor, and
fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a
sojourner; that he may live with thee.
03-25:47 And if a sojourner or stranger wax rich by thee, and thy brother that dwelleth by him wax poor, and sell
himself unto the stranger or sojourner by thee, or to the stock of the stranger’s family:
04-1:51 And when the tabernacle setteth
forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be
pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger
that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
04-3:10 And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his
sons, and they shall wait on their priest’s office: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
04-3:38 But those that encamp before the
tabernacle toward the east, even before
the tabernacle of the congregation eastward, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the
sanctuary for the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
04-9:14 And if a stranger
shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to
the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he
do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger,
and for him that was born in the land.
04-15:14 And if a stranger
sojourn with you, or whosoever be among
you in your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet
savour unto the LORD; as ye do, so he shall do.
04-15:15 One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.
04-15:16 One law and one manner shall be for
you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with
you.
04-15:26 And it shall be forgiven all the
congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger
that sojourneth among them; seeing all the people were in ignorance.
04-15:29 Ye shall have one law for him that
sinneth through ignorance, both for him
that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger
that sojourneth among them.
04-15:30 But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul
shall be cut off from among his people.
04-16:40 To
be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger,
which is not of the seed of Aaron,
come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his
company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses.
04-18:4 And they shall be joined unto thee,
and keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, for all the service
of the tabernacle: and a stranger shall not come
nigh unto you.
04-18:7 Therefore thou and thy sons with
thee shall keep your priest’s office for every thing of the altar, and within
the vail; and ye shall serve: I have given your priest’s office unto you as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
04-19:10 And he that gathereth the ashes of
the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall
be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger
that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.
04-35:15 These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for
the stranger, and for the sojourner among them:
that every one that killeth any person unawares may flee thither.
05-1:16 And I charged your judges at that
time, saying, Hear the causes between
your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger
that is with him.
05-5:14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou,
nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor
thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within
thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
05-10:18 He doth execute the judgment of the
fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger,
in giving him food and raiment.
05-10:19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
05-14:21 Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is
in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for
thou art an holy people unto the LORD
thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
05-14:29 And the Levite, (because he hath no
part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger,
and the fatherless, and the widow, which are
within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD
thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
05-16:11 And thou shalt rejoice before the
LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy
maidservant, and the Levite that is within
thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless,
and the widow, that are among you, in
the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there.
05-16:14 And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast,
thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant,
and the Levite, the stranger, and the
fatherless, and the widow, that are within
thy gates.
05-17:15 Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy
God shall choose: one from among thy
brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother.
05-23:7 Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for
he is thy brother: thou shalt not
abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger
in his land.
05-23:20 Unto a stranger
thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon
usury: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand
to in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
05-24:17 Thou shalt not pervert the judgment
of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow’s raiment to pledge:
05-24:19 When thou cuttest down thine harvest
in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to
fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the
fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the
work of thine hands.
05-24:20 When thou beatest thine olive tree,
thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
05-24:21 When thou gatherest the grapes of thy
vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward:
it shall be for the stranger, for the
fatherless, and for the widow.
05-25:5 If brethren dwell together, and one
of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without
unto a stranger: her husband’s brother shall go
in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband’s
brother unto her.
05-26:11 And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given
unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is
among you.
05-26:12 When thou hast made an end of tithing
all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger,
the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be
filled;
05-26:13 Then thou shalt say before the LORD
thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow,
according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not
transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them:
05-27:19 Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger,
fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.
05-28:43 The stranger
that is within thee shall get up
above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.
05-29:11 Your little ones, your wives, and thy
stranger that is in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy
water:
05-29:22 So that the generation to come of
your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger
that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that
land, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it;
05-31:12 Gather the people together, men, and
women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear,
and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the
words of this law:
06-8:33 And all Israel, and their elders, and
officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side before
the priests the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, as
well the stranger, as he that was born among
them; half of them over against mount Gerizim, and half of them over against
mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded before, that they
should bless the people of Israel.
06-20:9 These were the cities appointed for
all the children of Israel, and for the stranger
that sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person at unawares might flee thither, and not die by the hand
of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation.
07-19:12 And his master said unto him, We will
not turn aside hither into the city of a stranger,
that is not of the children of
Israel; we will pass over to Gibeah.
08-2:10 Then she fell on her face, and bowed
herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes,
that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?
10-1:13 And David said unto the young man
that told him, Whence art thou? And
he answered, I am the son of a stranger, an Amalekite.
10-15:19 Then said the king to Ittai the
Gittite, Wherefore goest thou also with us? return to thy place, and abide with
the king: for thou art a stranger, and also an exile.
11-3:18 And it came to pass the third day
after that I was delivered, that this woman was delivered also: and we were together; there was no stranger with us in the
house, save we two in the house.
11-8:41 Moreover concerning a stranger, that is
not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name’s
sake;
11-8:43 Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling
place, and do according to all that the stranger
calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear
thee, as do thy people Israel; and
that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy
name.
14-6:32 Moreover concerning the stranger, which is not of thy people Israel, but is
come from a far country for thy great name’s sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy
stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house;
14-6:33 Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do
according to all that the stranger calleth to
thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and may know
that this house which I have built is called by thy name.
18-15:19 Unto whom alone the earth was given,
and no stranger passed among them.
18-19:15 They that dwell in mine house, and my
maids, count me for a stranger: I am an alien in
their sight.
18-31:32 The stranger
did not lodge in the street: but I
opened my doors to the traveller.
19-39:12 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear
unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.
19-69:8 I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my
mother’s children.
19-94:6 They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
19-119:19 I am
a stranger in the earth: hide not thy
commandments from me.
20-2:16 To deliver thee from the strange
woman, even from the stranger which flattereth
with her words;
20-5:10 Lest strangers be filled with thy
wealth; and thy labours be in the
house of a stranger;
20-5:20 And why wilt thou, my son, be
ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?
20-6:1 My son, if thou be surety for thy
friend, if thou hast stricken thy
hand with a stranger,
20-7:5 That they may keep thee from the
strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.
20-11:15 He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure.
20-14:10 The heart knoweth his own bitterness;
and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his
joy.
20-20:16 Take his garment that is surety for a stranger:
and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.
20-27:2 Let another man praise thee, and not
thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own
lips.
20-27:13 Take his garment that is surety for a
stranger, and take a pledge of him for a strange
woman.
21-6:2 A man to whom God hath given
riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that
he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an
evil disease.
23-56:3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak,
saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the
eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
23-56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve
him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that
keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
23-62:8 The LORD hath sworn by his right
hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the
sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine,
for the which thou hast laboured:
24-7:6 If
ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless,
and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after
other gods to your hurt:
24-14:8 O the hope of Israel, the saviour
thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger
in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth
aside to tarry for a night?
24-22:3 Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye
judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the
oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger,
the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.
26-14:7 For every one of the house of
Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in
Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his
heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and
cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him
by myself:
26-22:7 In thee have they set light by
father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and
the widow.
26-22:29 The people of the land have used
oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they
have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.
26-44:9 Thus saith the Lord GOD; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in
flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger
that is among the children of Israel.
26-47:23 And it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the Lord GOD.
31-1:12 But thou shouldest not have looked
on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger;
neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of
their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of
distress.
38-7:10 And oppress not the widow, nor the
fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let
none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
39-3:5 And I will come near to you to
judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the
adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the
hireling in his wages, the widow, and
the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger
from his right, and fear not me,
saith the LORD of hosts.
40-25:35 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me
meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger,
and ye took me in:
40-25:38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee
in? or naked, and clothed thee?
40-25:43 I was a stranger,
and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and
ye visited me not.
40-25:44 Then shall they also answer him,
saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not
minister unto thee?
42-17:18 There are not found that returned to
give glory to God, save this stranger.
42-24:18 And the one of them, whose name was
Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger
in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in
these days?
43-10:5 And a stranger
will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of
strangers.
44-7:29 Then fled Moses at this saying, and
was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he
begat two sons.

of any of these; because their corruption is
in them, and blemishes be in them: they shall not be accepted
for you.
03-25:47 And if a sojourner or stranger wax
rich by thee, and thy brother that
dwelleth by him wax poor, and sell himself unto the stranger or sojourner by thee, or to the stock of
the stranger’s family:
_______________________________________________________________________
01-31:15 Are we not counted of him strangers? for he hath sold us, and hath quite
devoured also our money.

I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan,
the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.
02-22:21 Thou
shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
02-23:9 Also
thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing
ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
03-17:8 And thou shalt say unto them,
Whatsoever man there be of the house
of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn
among you, that offereth a burnt offering or sacrifice,
03-17:10 And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of
the strangers that sojourn among you, that
eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that
eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.
03-17:13 And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or
of the strangers that sojourn among you, which
hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour
out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.
03-19:34 But
the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among
you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers
in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD
your God.
03-20:2 Again, thou shalt say to the
children of Israel, Whosoever he be of
the children of Israel, or of the strangers that
sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of
his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land
shall stone him with stones.
03-22:18 Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons,
and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, Whatsoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his oblation for
all his vows, and for all his freewill offerings, which they will offer unto
the LORD for a burnt offering;
03-25:23 The land shall not be sold for ever:
for the land is mine; for ye are strangers
and sojourners with me.
03-25:45 Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye
buy, and of their families that are with
you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession.
05-10:19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for
ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
05-24:14 Thou shalt not oppress an hired
servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy
strangers that are in thy land within thy gates:
05-31:16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold,
thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring
after the gods of the strangers of the land,
whither they go to be among them, and
will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.

ways to the strangers under every green tree,
and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD.
24-5:19 And it shall come to pass, when ye
shall say, Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have
forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not yours.
24-30:8 For it shall come to pass in that
day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I
will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
