12-19:23 By thy

and will cut down the tall cedar trees thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I
will enter into the lodgings of his borders, and into the forest of his Carmel.

01-38:6 And Judah
took a wife for Er his firstborn, whose name was Tamar.
01-38:11 Then said
Judah to Tamar his
daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father’s house, till Shelah my son be
grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father’s house.
01-38:13 And it was
told Tamar,
saying, Behold thy father in law goeth up to Timnath to shear his sheep.
01-38:24 And it
came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath
played the harlot; and also, behold, she is
with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be
burnt.
08-4:12 And let
thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the LORD shall
give thee of this young woman.
10-13:1 And it
came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose
name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.
10-13:2 And Amnon
was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was
a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do any thing to her.
10-13:4 And he
said unto him, Why art thou, being the king’s son, lean from day to
day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.
10-13:5 And
Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and
when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and
dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it,
and eat it at her hand.
10-13:6 So Amnon
lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon
said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in
my sight, that I may eat at her hand.
10-13:7 Then
David sent home to Tamar, saying,
Go now to thy brother Amnon’s house, and dress him meat.
10-13:8 So Tamar went to her brother Amnon’s
house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did
bake the cakes.
10-13:10 And Amnon
said unto Tamar, Bring
the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had
made, and brought them into the
chamber to Amnon her brother.
10-13:19 And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent
her garment of divers colours that was on
her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.
10-13:20 And
Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but
hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy
brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.
10-13:22 And
Absalom spake unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated
Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.
10-13:32 And
Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother, answered and said, Let not my lord
suppose that they have slain all the
young men the king’s sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of
Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.
10-14:27 And unto
Absalom there were born three sons, and one daughter, whose name was Tamar: she was a woman of a fair countenance.
13-2:4 And
Tamar his daughter in law bare him
Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were
five.
13-3:9 These were all the sons of David, beside
the sons of the concubines, and Tamar their sister.
26-47:19 And the south
side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea.
And this is the south side southward.
26-48:28 And by the
border of Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall be even from Tamar unto the waters of strife in Kadesh,
and to the river toward the great
sea.

42-24:29 But they constrained
him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.
And he went in to tarry with them.
42-24:49 And,
behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry
ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
43-4:40 So when
the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.
43-21:22 Jesus
saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I
come, what is that to thee? follow
thou me.
43-21:23 Then went
this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet
Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
44-10:48 And he commanded
them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
44-18:20 When they
desired him to tarry longer time with them, he consented not;
44-28:14 Where we
found brethren, and were desired to tarry with
them seven days: and so we went toward Rome.
46-11:33 Wherefore,
my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry
one for another.
46-16:7 For
I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry
a while with you, if the Lord permit.
46-16:8 But
I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.
54-3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to
behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the
pillar and ground of the truth.
58-10:37 For yet a little
while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

19-40:17 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying,
O my God.

God: thou art my help and my deliverer;
O LORD, make no tarrying.

01-10:4 And the sons
of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish,
Kittim, and Dodanim.
13-1:7 And
the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
14-9:21 For
the king’s ships went to Tarshish
with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver,
ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
14-20:36 And
he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and they made the ships in Eziongaber.
14-20:37 Then
Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying,
Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the LORD hath broken thy works.
And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.
17-1:14 And the
next unto him was Carshena, Shethar,
Admatha, Tarshish,
Meres, Marsena, and Memucan, the
seven princes of Persia and Media, which saw the king’s face, and which sat the first in the kingdom;)
19-48:7 Thou
breakest the ships of Tarshish
with an east wind.
19-72:10 The kings
of Tarshish and of the isles shall
bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
23-2:16 And upon
all the ships of Tarshish,
and upon all pleasant pictures.
23-23:1 The
burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste, so that there is no
house, no entering in: from the land of Chittim it is revealed to them.
23-23:6 Pass ye
over to Tarshish; howl,
ye inhabitants of the isle.
23-23:10 Pass
through thy land as a river, O daughter of Tarshish: there
is no more strength.
23-23:14 Howl, ye
ships of Tarshish:
for your strength is laid waste.
23-60:9 Surely
the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their
silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the
Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
23-66:19 And I will
set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the
nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard
my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the
Gentiles.
24-10:9 Silver
spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman,
and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they are all
the work of cunning men.
26-27:12 Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kind of riches; with silver, iron, tin,
and lead, they traded in thy fairs.
26-27:25 The ships
of Tarshish did sing of thee in thy
market: and thou wast replenished, and made very glorious in the midst of the
seas.
26-38:13 Sheba, and
Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish,
with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a
spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and
gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
32-1:3 But
Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from
the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare
thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.
32-4:2 And
he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I
fled before unto Tarshish:
for I knew that thou art a gracious
God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of
the evil.

said, I am a man which am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee,
suffer me to speak unto the people.
44-22:3 I am
verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of
Gamaliel, and taught according to the
perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all
are this day.

of the people, and their officers, saying,
02-5:10 And
the taskmasters of the people went out, and
their officers, and they spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I
will not give you straw.
