01-GENESIS
01-4:20 And
Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents,
and of such as have cattle.
01-9:27 God
shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents
of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
01-13:5 And
Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.
01-25:27 And
the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.
01-31:33 And
Laban went into Jacob’s tent, and into Leah’s tent, and into the two
maidservants’ tents; but he found them not. Then went he out of Leah’s
tent, and entered into Rachel’s tent.
02-16:16 This
is the thing which the LORD hath
commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every
man, according to the number of your
persons; take ye every man for them which
are in his tents.
04-1:52 And
the children of Israel shall pitch their tents,
every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their
hosts.
04-9:17 And
when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children
of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children
of Israel pitched their tents.
04-9:18 At
the commandment of the LORD the children of Israel journeyed, and at the
commandment of the LORD they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the
tabernacle they rested in their tents.
04-9:20 And
so it was, when the cloud was a few
days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode
in their tents, and according to the commandment
of the LORD they journeyed.
04-9:22 Or
whether it were two days, or a month,
or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the
children of Israel abode in their tents, and
journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.
04-9:23 At
the commandment of the LORD they rested in the tents,
and at the commandment of the LORD they journeyed: they kept the charge of the
LORD, at the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
04-13:19 And
what the land is that they dwell in,
whether it be good or bad; and what
cities they be that they dwell in,
whether in tents, or in strong holds;
04-16:26 And
he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of
theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.
04-16:27 So
they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side:
and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their
little children.
04-24:2 And
Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their
tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.
04-24:5 How
goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!
05-1:27 And
ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the
LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us
into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.
05-1:33 Who
went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in
fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.
05-5:30 Go
say to them, Get you into your tents again.
05-11:6 And
what he did unto Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben: how
the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and
their tents, and all the substance that was in their possession, in the midst of
all Israel:
05-16:7 And
thou shalt roast and eat it in the
place which the LORD thy God shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning,
and go unto thy tents.
05-33:18 And
of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents.
06-3:14 And
it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents,
to pass over Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the
people;
06-22:4 And
now the LORD your God hath given rest unto your brethren, as he promised them:
therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents,
and unto the land of your possession,
which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the other side Jordan.
06-22:6 So
Joshua blessed them, and sent them away: and they went unto their tents.
06-22:7 Now
to the one half of the tribe of
Manasseh Moses had given possession in
Bashan: but unto the other half
thereof gave Joshua among their brethren on this side Jordan westward. And when
Joshua sent them away also unto their tents,
then he blessed them,
06-22:8 And
he spake unto them, saying, Return with much riches unto your tents, and with very much cattle, with silver, and
with gold, and with brass, and with iron, and with very much raiment: divide
the spoil of your enemies with your brethren.
07-6:5 For
they came up with their cattle and their tents,
and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number: and they
entered into the land to destroy it.
07-8:11 And
Gideon went up by the way of them that dwelt in tents
on the east of Nobah and Jogbehah, and smote the host: for the host was secure.
09-17:53 And
the children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they
spoiled their tents.
10-11:11 And
Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord,
are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to
drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou
livest, and as thy soul liveth, I
will not do this thing.
10-20:1 And
there happened to be there a man of Belial, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew a trumpet,
and said, We have no part in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse:
every man to his tents, O Israel.
11-8:66 On
the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king, and went
unto their tents joyful and glad of heart for all
the goodness that the LORD had done for David his servant, and for Israel his
people.
11-12:16 So
when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered
the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David. So
Israel departed unto their tents.
12-7:7 Wherefore
they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents,
and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.
12-7:10 So
they came and called unto the porter of the city: and they told them, saying,
We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but horses tied, and
asses tied, and the tents as they were.
12-7:16 And
the people went out, and spoiled the tents of
the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was sold
for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the
word of the LORD.
12-8:21 So
Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night,
and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the
chariots: and the people fled into their tents.
12-13:5 (And
the LORD gave Israel a saviour, so that they went out from under the hand of
the Syrians: and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents,
as beforetime.
12-14:12 And
Judah was put to the worse before Israel; and they fled every man to their tents.
13-4:41 And
these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smote
their tents, and the habitations that were found
there, and destroyed them utterly unto this day, and dwelt in their rooms:
because there was pasture there for
their flocks.
13-5:10 And
in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand:
and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the
east land of Gilead.
14-7:10 And
on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away
into their tents, glad and merry in heart for
the goodness that the LORD had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel
his people.
14-10:16 And
when all Israel saw that the king would
not hearken unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have
we in David? and we have none
inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to your tents,
O Israel: and now, David, see to
thine own house. So all Israel went to their tents.
14-14:15 They
smote also the tents of cattle, and carried away
sheep and camels in abundance, and returned to Jerusalem.
14-31:2 And
Hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests and the Levites after their
courses, every man according to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt
offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to
praise in the gates of the tents of the LORD.
15-8:15 And
I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we
in tents three days: and I viewed the people,
and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi.
19-69:25 Let
their habitation be desolate; and let
none dwell in their tents.
19-78:55 He
cast out the heathen also before them, and divided them an inheritance by line,
and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.
19-84:10 For
a day in thy courts is better than a
thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in
the tents of wickedness.
19-106:25 But
murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.
19-120:5 Woe
is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I
dwell in the tents of Kedar!
22-1:5 I
am black, but comely, O ye daughters
of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the
curtains of Solomon.
22-1:8 If
thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of
the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds’ tents.
24-4:20 Destruction
upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and
my curtains in a moment.
24-6:3 The
shepherds with their flocks shall come unto her; they shall pitch their tents
against her round about; they shall feed every one in his place.
24-30:18 Thus
saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city
shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the
manner thereof.
24-35:7 Neither
shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any: but all your days ye shall dwell in
tents; that ye may live many days in the land
where ye be strangers.
24-35:10 But
we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed, and
done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.
24-49:29 Their
tents and their flocks shall they take away:
they shall take to themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their
camels; and they shall cry unto them, Fear is
on every side.
35-3:7 I
saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian
did tremble.
38-12:7 The
LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first,
that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of
Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against
Judah.
38-14:15 And
so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass,
and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents,
as this plague.

01-11:24 And Nahor
lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah:
01-11:25 And Nahor
lived after he begat Terah an
hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters.
01-11:26 And Terah lived seventy years, and
begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
01-11:27 Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor,
and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.
01-11:28 And Haran
died before his father Terah in the
land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.
01-11:31 And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot
the son of Haran his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram’s
wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the
land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.
01-11:32 And the
days of Terah were
two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.
06-24:2 And
Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your
fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the
father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods.

07-17:5 And
the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of
his sons, who became his priest.
07-18:14 Then
answered the five men that went to spy out the country of Laish, and said unto
their brethren, Do ye know that there is in these houses an ephod, and teraphim, and a graven image, and a
molten image? now therefore consider what ye have to do.
07-18:17 And
the five men that went to spy out the land went up, and came in thither, and took
the graven image, and the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image: and the priest stood in
the entering of the gate with the six hundred men that were appointed with weapons of war.
07-18:18 And
these went into Micah’s house, and fetched the carved image, the ephod, and the
teraphim, and the molten image.
Then said the priest unto them, What do ye?
07-18:20 And
the priest’s heart was glad, and he took the ephod, and the teraphim, and the graven image, and
went in the midst of the people.
28-3:4 For
the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a
prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod,
and without teraphim:

17-2:21 In
those days, while Mordecai sat in the king’s gate, two of the king’s
chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of
those which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hand on the king
Ahasuerus.
17-6:2 And
it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s
chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king
Ahasuerus.

23-ISAIAH
23-62:4 Thou
shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall
thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou
shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in
thee, and thy land shall be married.

14-2 CHRONICLES
14-9:11 And
the king made of the algum trees terraces to the house of the LORD, and to the king’s
palace, and harps and psalteries for singers: and there were none such seen
before in the land of Judah.

46-15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and
bodies terrestrial:
but the glory of the celestial is one,
and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

02-EXODUS
02-34:10 And
he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such
as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people
among which thou art shall see the
work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.
05-DEUTERONOMY
05-1:19 And
when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which ye saw by the way of the
mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to
Kadeshbarnea.
05-7:21 Thou
shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.
05-8:15 Who
led thee through that great and terrible
wilderness, wherein were fiery
serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there
was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;
05-10:17 For
the LORD your God is God of gods, and
Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible,
which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:
05-10:21 He
is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee
these great and terrible things, which thine
eyes have seen.
07-13:6 Then
the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his
countenance was like the countenance
of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked
him not whence he was, neither told
he me his name:
10-7:23 And
what one nation in the earth is like
thy people, even like Israel, whom
God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do
for you great things and terrible, for thy land,
before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?
16-1:5 And
said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them
that love him and observe his commandments:
16-4:14 And
I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the
rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and
your daughters, your wives, and your houses.
16-9:32 Now
therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible
God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before
thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests,
and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time
of the kings of Assyria unto this day.
18-37:22 Fair
weather cometh out of the north: with God is
terrible majesty.
18-39:20 Canst
thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.
18-41:14 Who
can open the doors of his face? his teeth are
terrible round about.
19-45:4 And
in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand
shall teach thee terrible things.
19-47:2 For
the LORD most high is terrible; he is a
great King over all the earth.
19-65:5 By terrible
things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends
of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon
the sea:
19-66:3 Say
unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall
thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
19-66:5 Come
and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing
toward the children of men.
19-68:35 O
God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power
unto his people. Blessed be God.
19-76:12 He
shall cut off the spirit of princes: he
is terrible to the kings of the earth.
19-99:3 Let
them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.
19-106:22 Wondrous
works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea.
19-145:6 And
men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.
22-6:4 Thou
art beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah,
comely as Jerusalem, terrible as an army with banners.
22-6:10 Who
is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the
sun, and terrible
as an army with banners?
23-13:11 And
I will punish the world for their evil,
and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud
to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
23-18:2 That
sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a
nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible
from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land
the rivers have spoiled!
23-18:7 In
that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people
scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible
from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose
land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the
mount Zion.
23-21:1 The
burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.
23-25:3 Therefore
shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible
nations shall fear thee.
23-25:4 For
thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress,
a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is
as a storm against the wall.
23-25:5 Thou
shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a
cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be
brought low.
23-29:5 Moreover
the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of
the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant
suddenly.
23-29:20 For
the terrible one is brought to nought, and the
scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:
23-49:25 But
thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and
the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for
I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy
children.
23-64:3 When
thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed
down at thy presence.
24-15:21 And
I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out
of the hand of the terrible.
24-20:11 But
the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble,
and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not
prosper: their everlasting confusion
shall never be forgotten.
25-5:10 Our
skin was black like an oven because of the terrible
famine.
26-1:22 And
the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads
above.
26-28:7 Behold,
therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible
of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy
wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.
26-30:11 He
and his people with him, the terrible of the
nations, shall be brought to destroy the land: and they shall draw their swords
against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.
26-31:12 And
strangers, the terrible of the nations, have cut
him off, and have left him: upon the mountains and in all the valleys his
branches are fallen, and his boughs are broken by all the rivers of the land;
and all the people of the earth are gone down from his shadow, and have left
him.
26-32:12 By
the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and they shall
spoil the pomp of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed.
27-2:31 Thou,
O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and
the form thereof was terrible.
27-7:7 After
this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great
iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the
feet of it: and it was diverse from all
the beasts that were before it; and
it had ten horns.
29-JOEL
29-2:11 And
the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?
29-2:31 The
sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great
and the terrible day of the LORD come.
35-1:7 They
are terrible
and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.
36-2:11 The
LORD will be terrible
unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from
his place, even all the isles of the
heathen.
58-12:21 And
so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)
