young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt
offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

they came to the place which God had told him
of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound
Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.

unto Pharaoh.

there was there with us a young man,
an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told
him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he
did interpret.
01-41:24 And
the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told
this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.
01-42:29 And
they came unto Jacob their father unto the land of Canaan, and told him all that befell unto them; saying,
01-43:7 And

we certainly know that he would say, Bring your brother down?
01-44:24 And
it came to pass when we came up unto thy servant my father, we told him the words of my lord.

hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.
02-14:5 And

fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the
people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from

delivered them.

people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.

the LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice,

unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel.

it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and,

Israel:
06-2:2 And
it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold,
there came men in hither to night of the children of Israel to search out the
country.
06-2:23 So
the two men returned, and descended from the mountain, and passed over, and came
to Joshua the son of Nun, and told him all things that befell them:
06-9:24 And
they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded
his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants
of the land from before you, therefore we were sore afraid of our lives because
of you, and have done this thing.
06-10:17 And
it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are
found hid in a cave at Makkedah.
07-6:13 And
Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this
befallen us? and where be all his
miracles which our fathers told us of, saying,
Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and
delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.
07-7:13 And
when Gideon was come, behold, there was a
man that told a dream unto his fellow, and said,
Behold, I dreamed a dream, and, lo, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the
host of Midian, and came unto a tent, and smote it that it fell, and overturned
it, that the tent lay along.
07-9:7 And
when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood in the top of mount Gerizim, and
lifted up his voice, and cried, and said unto them, Hearken unto me, ye men of
Shechem, that God may hearken unto you.
07-9:25 And
the men of Shechem set liers in wait for him in the top of the mountains, and
they robbed all that came along that way by them: and it was told Abimelech.
07-9:42 And
it came to pass on the morrow, that the people went out into the field; and
they told Abimelech.
07-9:47 And
it was told Abimelech, that all the men of the
tower of Shechem were gathered together.
07-13:6 Then
the woman came and told her husband, saying, A
man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I
asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name:
07-13:23 But
his wife said unto him, If the LORD were pleased to kill us, he would not have
received a burnt offering and a meat offering at our hands, neither would he
have shewed us all these things, nor
would as at this time have told us such things as these.
07-14:2 And
he came up, and told his father and his mother,
and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines:
now therefore get her for me to wife.

the spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have
rent a kid, and he had nothing in his
hand: but he told not his father or his mother
what he had done.
07-14:9 And
he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and
mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told
not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion.
07-14:16 And
Samson’s wife wept before him, and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me
not: thou hast put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and hast not told it me.
And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I
tell it thee?
07-14:17 And
she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted: and it came to
pass on the seventh day, that he told her,
because she lay sore upon him: and she told the
riddle to the children of her people.
07-16:2 And it was told
the Gazites, saying, Samson is come hither. And they compassed him in, and laid wait for him all night
in the gate of the city, and were quiet all the night, saying, In the morning,
when it is day, we shall kill him.
07-16:10 And
Delilah said unto Samson, Behold, thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: now tell me, I pray thee, wherewith thou
mightest be bound.
07-16:13 And
Delilah said unto Samson, Hitherto thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: tell me wherewith thou mightest be
bound. And he said unto her, If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with
the web.
07-16:15 And
she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine heart is not with me? thou hast mocked me
these three times, and hast not told me wherein
thy great strength lieth.
07-16:17 That
he told her all his heart, and said unto her,
There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother’s womb: if I be
shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like
any other man.
07-16:18 And
when Delilah saw that he had told her all his
heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up
this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the
Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand.
08-3:16 And
when she came to her mother in law, she said, Who art thou, my daughter? And she told
her all that the man had done to her.
09-3:13 For
I have told him that I will judge his house for
ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile,
and he restrained them not.
09-3:18 And
Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from
him. And he said, It is the LORD: let
him do what seemeth him good.
09-4:13 And
when he came, lo, Eli sat upon a seat by the wayside watching: for his heart
trembled for the ark of God. And when the man came into the city, and told it, all
the city cried out.
09-4:14 And
when Eli heard the noise of the crying, he said, What meaneth the noise of this tumult? And the man came in hastily, and told Eli.
09-8:10 And
Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the
people that asked of him a king.
09-9:15 Now
the LORD had told Samuel in his ear a day before
Saul came, saying,
09-10:16 And
Saul said unto his uncle, He told us plainly
that the asses were found. But of the matter of the kingdom, whereof Samuel
spake, he told him not.
09-10:25 Then
Samuel told the people the manner of the
kingdom, and wrote it in a book, and
laid it up before the LORD. And
Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house.
09-11:4 Then
came the messengers to Gibeah of Saul, and told
the tidings in the ears of the people: and all the people lifted up their
voices, and wept.
09-11:5 And,
behold, Saul came after the herd out of the field; and Saul said, What aileth the people that they weep? And
they told him the tidings of the men of Jabesh.
09-14:1 Now
it came to pass upon a day, that Jonathan the son of Saul said unto the young
man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over to the Philistines’
garrison, that is on the other side.
But he told not his father.
09-14:33 Then
they told Saul, saying, Behold, the people sin
against the LORD, in that they eat with the blood. And he said, Ye have
transgressed: roll a great stone unto me this day.
09-14:43 Then
Saul said to Jonathan, Tell me what thou hast done. And Jonathan told him, and said, I did but taste a little honey
with the end of the rod that was in
mine hand, and, lo, I must die.
09-15:12 And
when Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning, it was told Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel, and, behold,
he set him up a place, and is gone about, and passed on, and gone down to
Gilgal.
09-18:20 And
Michal Saul’s daughter loved David: and they told
Saul, and the thing pleased him.
09-18:24 And
the servants of Saul told him, saying, On this
manner spake David.
09-18:26 And
when his servants told David these words, it
pleased David well to be the king’s son in law: and the days were not expired.
09-19:2 But
Jonathan Saul’s son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeketh to kill
thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and
abide in a secret place, and hide
thyself:
09-19:11 Saul
also sent messengers unto David’s house, to watch him, and to slay him in the
morning: and Michal David’s wife told him,
saying, If thou save not thy life to night, to morrow thou shalt be slain.
09-19:18 So
David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and
Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
09-19:19 And
it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.
09-19:21 And
when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers,
and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time,
and they prophesied also.
09-23:1 Then
they told David, saying, Behold, the Philistines
fight against Keilah, and they rob the threshingfloors.
09-23:7 And
it was told Saul that David was come to Keilah.
And Saul said, God hath delivered him into mine hand; for he is shut in, by
entering into a town that hath gates and bars.
09-23:13 Then
David and his men, which were about
six hundred, arose and departed out of Keilah, and went whithersoever they
could go. And it was told Saul that David was
escaped from Keilah; and he forbare to go forth.
09-23:22 Go,
I pray you, prepare yet, and know and see his place where his haunt is, and who hath seen him there: for it is told me that he
dealeth very subtilly.
09-23:25 Saul
also and his men went to seek him. And
they told David: wherefore he came down into a
rock, and abode in the wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he pursued after David in the
wilderness of Maon.
09-24:1 And
it came to pass, when Saul was returned from following the Philistines, that it
was told him, saying, Behold, David is in the wilderness of Engedi.
09-25:12 So
David’s young men turned their way, and went again, and came and told him all those sayings.
09-25:14 But
one of the young men told Abigail, Nabal’s wife,
saying, Behold, David sent messengers out of the wilderness to salute our
master; and he railed on them.
09-25:19 And
she said unto her servants, Go on before me; behold, I come after you. But she told not her husband Nabal.
09-25:36 And
Abigail came to Nabal; and, behold, he held a feast in his house, like the
feast of a king; and Nabal’s heart was merry
within him, for he was very drunken:
wherefore she told him nothing, less or more,
until the morning light.
09-25:37 But
it came to pass in the morning, when the wine was gone out of Nabal, and his
wife had told him these things, that his heart
died within him, and he became as a
stone.
09-27:4 And
it was told Saul that David was fled to Gath:
and he sought no more again for him.
10-1:5 And
David said unto the young man that told him, How
knowest thou that Saul and Jonathan his son be dead?
10-1:6 And
the young man that told him said, As I happened
by chance upon mount Gilboa, behold, Saul leaned upon his spear; and, lo, the
chariots and horsemen followed hard after him.
10-1:13 And
David said unto the young man that told him,
Whence art thou? And he answered, I am the son of a stranger, an Amalekite.
10-2:4 And
the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of
Judah. And they told David, saying, That the men of Jabeshgilead were they that buried Saul.
10-3:23 When
Joab and all the host that was with
him were come, they told Joab, saying, Abner the
son of Ner came to the king, and he hath sent him away, and he is gone in
peace.
10-4:10 When
one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead,
thinking to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in
Ziklag, who thought that I would have
given him a reward for his tidings:
10-6:12 And
it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath
blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth
unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark
of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.
10-10:5 When
they told it
unto David, he sent to meet them, because the men were greatly ashamed: and
the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return.
10-10:17 And
when it was told David, he gathered all Israel
together, and passed over Jordan, and came to Helam. And the Syrians set themselves
in array against David, and fought with him.
10-11:5 And
the woman conceived, and sent and told David,
and said, I am with child.
10-11:10 And
when they had told David, saying, Uriah went not
down unto his house, David said unto Uriah, Camest thou not from thy journey? why then didst thou not go down unto thine house?
10-11:18 Then
Joab sent and told David all the things
concerning the war;
10-14:33 So
Joab came to the king, and told him: and when he
had called for Absalom, he came to the king, and bowed himself on his face to
the ground before the king: and the king kissed Absalom.
10-15:31 And
one told
David, saying, Ahithophel is among
the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the
counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.
10-17:17 Now
Jonathan and Ahimaaz stayed by Enrogel; for they might not be seen to come into
the city: and a wench went and told them; and
they went and told king David.
10-17:18 Nevertheless
a lad saw them, and told Absalom: but they went
both of them away quickly, and came to a man’s house in Bahurim, which had a
well in his court; whither they went down.
10-17:21 And
it came to pass, after they were departed, that they came up out of the well,
and went and told king David, and said unto David,
Arise, and pass quickly over the water: for thus hath Ahithophel counselled
against you.
10-18:10 And
a certain man saw it, and told Joab, and said, Behold, I saw Absalom hanged in
an oak.
10-18:11 And
Joab said unto the man that told him, And, behold,
thou sawest him, and why didst thou
not smite him there to the ground? And I would have given thee ten shekels of silver, and a girdle.
10-18:25 And
the watchman cried, and told the king. And the
king said, If he be alone, there is tidings in his mouth. And he
came apace, and drew near.
10-19:1 And
it was told Joab, Behold, the king weepeth and
mourneth for Absalom.
10-19:8 Then
the king arose, and sat in the gate. And they told
unto all the people, saying, Behold, the king doth sit in the gate. And all the
people came before the king: for Israel had fled every man to his tent.
10-21:11 And
it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of
Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done.
10-24:13 So
Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto
him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee
three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be
three days’ pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall
return to him that sent me.
11-1:23 And
they told the king, saying, Behold Nathan the
prophet. And when he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the
king with his face to the ground.
11-1:51 And

feareth king Solomon: for, lo, he hath caught hold on the horns of the altar,
saying, Let king Solomon swear unto me to day that he will not slay his servant
with the sword.
11-2:29 And
it was told king Solomon that Joab was fled unto
the tabernacle of the LORD; and, behold, he
is by the altar. Then Solomon sent Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, saying, Go,
fall upon him.
11-2:39 And
it came to pass at the end of three years, that two of the servants of Shimei
ran away unto Achish son of Maachah king of Gath. And they told Shimei, saying, Behold, thy servants be in Gath.
11-2:41 And
it was told Solomon that Shimei had gone from
Jerusalem to Gath, and was come again.
11-8:5 And
king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him,
were with him before the ark,
sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told
nor numbered for multitude.
11-10:3 And
Solomon told her all her questions: there was
not any thing hid from the king,
which he told her not.
11-10:7 Howbeit
I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame
which I heard.
11-13:11 Now
there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done
that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.
11-13:25 And,
behold, men passed by, and saw the carcase cast in the way, and the lion
standing by the carcase: and they came and told it in the city where the old prophet
dwelt.
11-14:2 And
Jeroboam said to his wife, Arise, I pray thee, and disguise thyself, that thou
be not known to be the wife of Jeroboam; and get thee to Shiloh: behold, there is Ahijah the prophet, which told me that I
should be king over this people.
11-18:13 Was
it not told my lord what I did when Jezebel slew
the prophets of the LORD, how I hid an hundred men of the Lord’s prophets by
fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water?
11-18:16 So
Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him: and
Ahab went to meet Elijah.
11-19:1 And
Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and
withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.
11-20:17 And
the young men of the princes of the provinces went out first; and Benhadad sent
out, and they told him, saying, There are men
come out of Samaria.
12-1:7 And
he said unto them, What manner of man was
he which came up to meet you, and told you these
words?
12-4:7 Then
she came and told the man of God. And he said,
Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
12-4:27 And
when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but
Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone;
for her soul is vexed within her: and
the LORD hath hid it from me, and
hath not told me.
12-4:31 And
Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child;
but there was neither voice, nor

I may send and fetch him. And it was told him,
saying, Behold, he is in Dothan.
12-7:10 So
they came and called unto the porter of the city: and they told them, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians,

he called the porters; and they told it to the king’s house within.

not again.

the watchman told, saying, He came even unto
them, and cometh not again: and the driving is
like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.

is the word of the LORD, which he

shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel:

it was so, when they saw that there was much money in the chest, that
the king’s scribe and the high priest came up, and they put up in bags, and told the money that was found in the house of the
LORD.
12-12:11 And
they gave the money, being told, into the hands
of them that did the work, that had the oversight of the house of the LORD: and
they laid it out to the carpenters and builders, that wrought upon the house of
the LORD,

see? And the men of the city told him, It is the sepulchre of the man of God,

Jericho until your beards be grown, and then
return.

before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.

greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I
heard.

Syria; and, behold, they be in

our God.
16-2:12 And
I arose in the night, I and some few men with me; neither told I any man
what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem: neither was there any beast with me, save the
beast that I rode upon.
16-2:16 And
the rulers knew not whither I went, or what I did; neither had I as yet told it to
the Jews, nor to the priests, nor to the nobles, nor to the rulers, nor to the
rest that did the work.
16-2:18 Then
I told them of the hand of my God which was good
upon me; as also the king’s words that he had spoken unto me. And they said,
Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.
17-2:22 And
the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it unto Esther the queen; and Esther
certified the king thereof in
Mordecai’s name.
17-3:4 Now
it came to pass, when they spake daily unto him, and he hearkened not unto
them, that they told Haman, to see whether
Mordecai’s matters would stand: for he had told
them that he was a Jew.
17-4:4 So
Esther’s maids and her chamberlains came and told
it her. Then was the queen
exceedingly grieved; and she sent raiment to clothe Mordecai, and to take away
his sackcloth from him: but he received it
not.

Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto
him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay to the king’s
treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.

every thing that had befallen him.
Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom
thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely
fall before him.
17-8:1 On
that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews’ enemy unto
Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was
unto her.
18-15:18 Which
wise men have told from their fathers, and have
not hid it:
18-37:20 Shall
it be told him that I speak? if a man speak,
surely he shall be swallowed up.

have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told
us, what work thou didst in their
days, in the times of old.

we have heard and known, and our fathers have told
us.
19-90:9 For
all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.
21-6:6 Yea,
though he live a thousand years twice told, yet hath he seen no good: do not all go to
one place?
23-ISAIAH
23-7:2 And
it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is
confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people,
as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.
23-36:22 Then
came Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, that was
over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph, the
recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes
rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.
23-40:21 Have
ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told
you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the
earth?
23-44:8 Fear
ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee
from that time, and have declared it? ye
are even my witnesses. Is there a God
beside me? yea, there is no God; I
know not any.
23-45:21 Tell
ye, and bring them near; yea, let
them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told
it from that time? have not I the
LORD? and there is no God else beside
me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none
beside me.

words in the ears of the king.

at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and
before him I told the dream, saying,
27-7:1 In
the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of
his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.
27-7:16 I
came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this.

interpretation of the things.

ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.

they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the

heavenly things?

now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you
the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

answered them, I have told you already, and ye
did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again?

shall come, ye may remember that I told you of
them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with
you.
43-18:8 Jesus
answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these
go their way:

spoken these things unto her.

told you before, and foretell you, as if I were
