chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them.

set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:

which he took violently away, or the thing which
he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the
lost thing which he found,
03-8:10 And

tabernacle and all that was therein,
and sanctified them.

before the LORD, he took one unleavened cake,
and a cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and put them on the fat, and upon the right shoulder:
03-8:28 And
Moses took them from off their hands, and burnt them on the altar upon the burnt
offering: they were consecrations for
a sweet savour: it is an offering
made by fire unto the LORD.

Moses’ part; as the LORD commanded Moses.

flocks, and all their goods.

the war upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the congregation:
04-31:47 Even

05-1:15 So
I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known,
and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over
hundreds, and captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among
your tribes.
05-1:23 And
the saying pleased me well: and I took twelve
men of you, one of a tribe:
05-1:25 And
they took of the fruit of the land in their
hands, and brought it down unto us,
and brought us word again, and said, It
is a good land which the LORD our God doth give us.
05-2:1 Then
we turned, and took our journey into the
wilderness by the way of the Red sea, as the LORD spake unto me: and we
compassed mount Seir many days.
05-2:34 And
we took all his cities at that time, and utterly
destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left
none to remain:
05-2:35 Only
the cattle we took for a prey unto ourselves,
and the spoil of the cities which we took.
05-3:4 And
we took all his cities at that time, there was
not a city which we took not from them,
threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
05-3:7 But
all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took
for a prey to ourselves.
05-3:8 And
we took at that time out of the hand of the two
kings of the Amorites the land that was on
this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon;
05-3:14 Jair
the son of Manasseh took all the country of
Argob unto the coasts of Geshuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own
name, Bashanhavothjair, unto this day.
05-9:17 And
I took the two tables, and cast them out of my
two hands, and brake them before your eyes.
05-9:21 And
I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and
burnt it with fire, and stamped it, and ground
it very small, even until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof
into the brook that descended out of the mount.
05-10:6 And
the children of Israel took their journey from
Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was
buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest’s office in his stead.
05-22:14 And
give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and
say, I took this woman, and when I came to her,
I found her not a maid:
05-24:3 And
if the latter husband hate her, and
write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it
in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband
die, which took her to be his wife;
05-29:8 And
we took their land, and gave it for an
inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of
Manasseh.
06-2:4 And
the woman took the two men, and hid them, and
said thus, There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were:
06-3:6 And
Joshua spake unto the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and
pass over before the people. And they took up
the ark of the covenant, and went before the people.
06-4:8 And
the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took
up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto Joshua,
according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried
them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.
06-4:20 And
those twelve stones, which they took out of
Jordan, did Joshua pitch in Gilgal.
06-6:12 And
Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took
up the ark of the LORD.
06-6:20 So
the people shouted when the priests blew
with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the
trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down
flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him,
and they took the city.
06-7:1 But
the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan,
the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD
was kindled against the children of Israel.
06-7:17 And
he brought the family of Judah; and he took the
family of the Zarhites: and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man;
and Zabdi was taken:
06-7:21 When
I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of
silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under
it.
06-7:23 And
they took them out of the midst of the tent, and
brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them
out before the LORD.
06-7:24 And
Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the
son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his
sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his
tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor.
06-8:12 And
he took about five thousand men, and set them to
lie in ambush between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of the city.
06-8:19 And
the ambush arose quickly out of their place, and they ran as soon as he had
stretched out his hand: and they entered into the city, and took it, and hasted and set the city on fire.
06-8:23 And
the king of Ai they took alive, and brought him
to Joshua.
06-8:27 Only
the cattle and the spoil of that city Israel took
for a prey unto themselves, according unto the word of the LORD which he
commanded Joshua.
06-9:4 They
did work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles,
old, and rent, and bound up;
06-9:12 This
our bread we took hot for our provision out of our houses on the day we came forth to go
unto you; but now, behold, it is dry, and it is mouldy:
06-9:14 And
the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the LORD.
06-10:27 And
it came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took
them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been hid,
and laid great stones in the cave’s mouth, which
remain until this very day.
06-10:28 And
that day Joshua took Makkedah, and smote it with
the edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed, them, and all
the souls that were therein; he let
none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of
Jericho.
06-10:32 And
the LORD delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel, which took it on the second day, and smote it with the edge
of the sword, and all the souls that were
therein, according to all that he had done to Libnah.
06-10:35 And
they took it on that day, and smote it with the
edge of the sword, and all the souls that were
therein he utterly destroyed that day, according to all that he had done to
Lachish.
06-10:37 And
they took it, and smote it with the edge of the
sword, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof, and all the souls that
were therein; he left none remaining,
according to all that he had done to Eglon; but destroyed it utterly, and all
the souls that were therein.
06-10:39 And
he took it, and the king thereof, and all the
cities thereof; and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly
destroyed all the souls that were therein;
he left none remaining: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to
the king thereof; as he had done also to Libnah, and to her king.
06-11:10 And
Joshua at that time turned back, and took Hazor,
and smote the king thereof with the sword: for Hazor beforetime was the head of
all those kingdoms.
06-11:14 And
all the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of Israel took for a prey unto themselves; but every man they
smote with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, neither left
they any to breathe.
06-11:16 So
Joshua took all that land, the hills, and all
the south country, and all the land of Goshen, and the valley, and the plain,
and the mountain of Israel, and the valley of the same;
06-11:17 Even from the mount Halak, that goeth up
to Seir, even unto Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon under mount Hermon: and all
their kings he took, and smote them, and slew
them.
06-11:19 There
was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, save the Hivites
the inhabitants of Gibeon: all other they
took in battle.
06-11:23 So
Joshua took the whole land, according to all
that the LORD said unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto
Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from
war.
06-15:17 And
Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took
it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.
06-16:4 So
the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took
their inheritance.
06-19:47 And
the coast of the children of Dan went out too
little for them: therefore the children of Dan went up to fight against
Leshem, and took it, and smote it with the edge
of the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt therein, and called Leshem, Dan,
after the name of Dan their father.
06-24:3 And
I took your father Abraham from the other side
of the flood, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his
seed, and gave him Isaac.
06-24:26 And
Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and took a great stone, and set it up there under an oak,
that was by the sanctuary of the
LORD.
07-1:13 And
Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother, took
it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.
07-1:18 Also
Judah took Gaza with the coast thereof, and
Askelon with the coast thereof, and Ekron with the coast thereof.
07-3:6 And
they took their daughters to be their wives, and
gave their daughters to their sons, and served their gods.
07-3:21 And
Ehud put forth his left hand, and took the
dagger from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly:
07-3:25 And
they tarried till they were ashamed: and, behold, he opened not the doors of
the parlour; therefore they took a key, and
opened them: and, behold, their lord was fallen down dead on the earth.
07-3:28 And
he said unto them, Follow after me: for the LORD hath delivered your enemies
the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not
a man to pass over.
07-4:21 Then
Jael Heber’s wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him,
and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he
was fast asleep and weary. So he died.
07-5:19 The
kings came and fought, then fought
the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.
07-6:27 Then
Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as
the LORD had said unto him: and so it
was, because he feared his father’s household, and the men of the city, that he
could not do it by day, that he did it by night.
07-7:8 So
the people took victuals in their hand, and
their trumpets: and he sent all the rest
of Israel every man unto his tent, and retained those three hundred men:
and the host of Midian was beneath him in the valley.
07-7:24 And
Gideon sent messengers throughout all mount Ephraim, saying, Come down against
the Midianites, and take before them the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan. Then
all the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and took the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan.
07-7:25 And
they took two princes of the Midianites, Oreb
and Zeeb; and they slew Oreb upon the rock Oreb, and Zeeb they slew at the
winepress of Zeeb, and pursued Midian, and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb
to Gideon on the other side Jordan.
07-8:12 And
when Zebah and Zalmunna fled, he pursued after them, and took the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna, and
discomfited all the host.
07-8:16 And
he took the elders of the city, and thorns of
the wilderness and briers, and with them he taught the men of Succoth.
07-8:21 Then
Zebah and Zalmunna said, Rise thou, and fall upon us: for as the man is, so is his strength. And Gideon
arose, and slew Zebah and Zalmunna, and took
away the ornaments that were on their
camels’ necks.
07-9:43 And
he took the people, and divided them into three
companies, and laid wait in the field, and looked, and, behold, the people were come forth out of the city; and he
rose up against them, and smote them.
07-9:45 And
Abimelech fought against the city all that day; and he took
the city, and slew the people that was therein,
and beat down the city, and sowed it with salt.
07-9:48 And
Abimelech gat him up to mount Zalmon, he and all the people that were with him; and Abimelech took an ax in his hand, and cut down a bough from the
trees, and took it, and laid it on his shoulder, and said unto the
people that were with him, What ye
have seen me do, make haste, and do
as I have done.
07-9:50 Then
went Abimelech to Thebez, and encamped against Thebez, and took it.
07-11:13 And
the king of the children of Ammon answered unto the messengers of Jephthah,
Because Israel took away my land, when they came
up out of Egypt, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and unto Jordan: now therefore
restore those lands again peaceably.
07-11:15 And
said unto him, Thus saith Jephthah, Israel took
not away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of Ammon:
07-12:5 And
the Gileadites took the passages of Jordan
before the Ephraimites: and it was so that
when those Ephraimites which were escaped said, Let me go over; that the men of
Gilead said unto him, Art thou an
Ephraimite? If he said, Nay;
07-12:6 Then
said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not
frame to pronounce it right. Then
they took him, and slew him at the passages of
Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand.
07-12:9 And
he had thirty sons, and thirty daughters, whom
he sent abroad, and took in thirty daughters
from abroad for his sons. And he judged Israel seven years.
07-13:19 So
Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and
offered it upon a rock unto the LORD:
and the angel did wonderously; and
Manoah and his wife looked on.
07-14:9 And
he took thereof in his hands, and went on
eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat:
but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the
lion.
07-14:19 And
the spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew
thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and
gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was
kindled, and he went up to his father’s house.
07-15:4 And
Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took
firebrands, and turned tail to tail, and put a firebrand in the midst between
two tails.
07-15:15 And
he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith.
07-16:3 And
Samson lay till midnight, and arose at midnight, and took
the doors of the gate of the city, and the two posts, and went away with them,
bar and all, and put them upon his
shoulders, and carried them up to the top of an hill that is before Hebron.
07-16:12 Delilah
therefore took new ropes, and bound him
therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And there
were liers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them from off his
arms like a thread.
07-16:21 But
the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes,
and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did
grind in the prison house.
07-16:29 And
Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon
which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right
hand, and of the other with his left.
07-16:31 Then
his brethren and all the house of his father came down, and took him, and brought him up, and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the
buryingplace of Manoah his father. And he judged Israel twenty years.
07-17:2 And
he said unto his mother, The eleven hundred shekels
of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou cursedst, and spakest
of also in mine ears, behold, the silver is
with me; I took it. And his mother said,
Blessed be thou of the LORD, my son.
07-17:4 Yet
he restored the money unto his mother; and his mother took
two hundred shekels of silver, and
gave them to the founder, who made thereof a graven image and a molten image:
and they were in the house of Micah.
07-18:17 And
the five men that went to spy out the land went up, and came in thither, and took the graven image, and the ephod, and the
teraphim, and the molten image: and the priest stood in the entering of the
gate with the six hundred men that were appointed
with weapons of war.
07-18:20 And
the priest’s heart was glad, and he took the
ephod, and the teraphim, and the graven image, and went in the midst of the
people.
07-18:27 And
they took the
things which Micah had made, and the priest which he had, and came unto
Laish, unto a people that were at
quiet and secure: and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and burnt the
city with fire.
07-19:1 And
it came to pass in those days, when there
was no king in Israel, that there was a certain Levite sojourning on the
side of mount Ephraim, who took to him a
concubine out of Bethlehemjudah.
07-19:15 And
they turned aside thither, to go in and to
lodge in Gibeah: and when he went in, he sat him down in a street of the city:
for there was no man that took them into his house to lodging.
07-19:25 But
the men would not hearken to him: so the man took
his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused
her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let
her go.
07-19:28 And
he said unto her, Up, and let us be going. But none answered. Then the man took her up upon
an ass, and the man rose up, and gat him unto his place.
07-19:29 And
when he was come into his house, he took a
knife, and laid hold on his concubine, and divided her, together with her bones, into twelve pieces, and sent her into all
the coasts of Israel.
07-20:6 And
I took my concubine, and cut her in pieces, and
sent her throughout all the country of the inheritance of Israel: for they have
committed lewdness and folly in Israel.
07-21:23 And
the children of Benjamin did so, and took them wives, according to their number,
of them that danced, whom they caught: and they went and returned unto their
inheritance, and repaired the cities, and dwelt in them.
08-1:4 And
they took them wives of the women of Moab; the
name of the one was Orpah, and the
name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years.
08-2:18 And
she took it
up, and went into the city: and her mother in law saw what she had gleaned:
and she brought forth, and gave to her that she had reserved after she was
sufficed.
08-4:2 And
he took ten men of the elders of the city, and
said, Sit ye down here. And they sat down.
08-4:13 So
Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when
he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bare a son.
08-4:16 And
Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom,
and became nurse unto it.
09-1:24 And
when she had weaned him, she took him up with her,
with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought
him unto the house of the LORD in Shiloh: and the child was young.
09-2:14 And
he struck it into the pan, or kettle,
or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh, unto all the
Israelites that came thither.
09-5:1 And
the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought
it from Ebenezer unto Ashdod.
09-5:2 When
the Philistines took the ark of God, they
brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon.
09-5:3 And
when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth
before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon,
and set him in his place again.
09-6:10 And
the men did so; and took two milch kine, and
tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home:
09-6:12 And
the kine took the straight way to the way of
Bethshemesh, and went along the
highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the
left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of
Bethshemesh.
09-6:15 And
the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and
the coffer that was with it, wherein
the jewels of gold were, and put them on the great stone: and the men of
Bethshemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto
the LORD.
09-7:9 And
Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the LORD:
and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him.
09-7:12 Then
Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called
the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us.
09-8:3 And
his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted judgment.
09-9:22 And
Samuel took Saul and his servant, and brought
them into the parlour, and made them sit in the chiefest place among them that
were bidden, which were about thirty
persons.
09-9:24 And
the cook took up the shoulder, and that which was upon it, and set it before
Saul. And Samuel said, Behold that
which is left! set it before thee, and eat: for unto this time hath it been
kept for thee since I said, I have invited the people. So Saul did eat with
Samuel that day.
09-10:1 Then
Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and
said, Is it not because the LORD hath
anointed thee to be captain over his
inheritance?
09-11:7 And
he took a yoke of oxen, and hewed them in
pieces, and sent them throughout all
the coasts of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, Whosoever cometh not
forth after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto his oxen. And the
fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with one consent.
09-14:32 And
the people flew upon the spoil, and took sheep,
and oxen, and calves, and slew them on
the ground: and the people did eat them with
the blood.
09-14:47 So
Saul took the kingdom over Israel, and fought
against all his enemies on every side, against Moab, and against the children
of Ammon, and against Edom, and against the kings of Zobah, and against the
Philistines: and whithersoever he turned himself, he vexed them.
09-14:52 And
there was sore war against the Philistines all the days of Saul: and when Saul
saw any strong man, or any valiant man, he took
him unto him.
09-15:8 And
he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive,
and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.
09-15:21 But
the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen,
the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice
unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal.
09-16:13 Then
Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in
the midst of his brethren: and the spirit of the LORD came upon David from that
day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.
09-16:20 And
Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul.
09-16:23 And
it came to pass, when the evil spirit
from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp,
and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil
spirit departed from him.
09-17:20 And
David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him; and he
came to the trench, as the host was going forth to the fight, and shouted for
the battle.
09-17:34 And
David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion,
and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:
09-17:40 And
he took his staff in his hand, and chose him
five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag which he
had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in
his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.
09-17:49 And
David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a
stone, and slang it, and smote the
Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell
upon his face to the earth.
09-17:51 Therefore
David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took
his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his
head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they
fled.
09-17:54 And
David took the head of the Philistine, and
brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armour in his tent.
09-17:57 And
as David returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, Abner took him, and brought him before Saul with the head of
the Philistine in his hand.
09-18:2 And
Saul took him that day, and would let him go no
more home to his father’s house.
09-19:13 And
Michal took an image, and laid it in the bed, and put a pillow of
goats’ hair for his bolster, and
covered it with a cloth.
09-24:2 Then
Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all
Israel, and went to seek David and his men upon the rocks of the wild goats.
09-25:18 Then
Abigail made haste, and took two hundred loaves,
and two bottles of wine, and five sheep ready dressed, and five measures of
parched corn, and an hundred clusters
of raisins, and two hundred cakes of figs, and laid them on asses.
09-25:43 David
also took Ahinoam of Jezreel; and they were also
both of them his wives.
09-26:12 So
David took the spear and the cruse of water from
Saul’s bolster; and they gat them away, and no man saw it, nor knew it, neither
awaked: for they were all asleep;
because a deep sleep from the LORD was fallen upon them.
09-27:9 And
David smote the land, and left neither man nor woman alive, and took away the sheep, and the oxen, and the asses, and
the camels, and the apparel, and returned, and came to Achish.
09-28:24 And

of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest, (for she was the sister of Ahaziah,)
hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not.

the captives, and with the spoil clothed all that were naked among them, and

the vessels also of gold and silver of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took out of the temple that was in Jerusalem, and brought them into the temple of Babylon,

delivered unto one, whose name was Sheshbazzar, whom he had made
governor;

also let the golden and silver vessels of the house of God, which
Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple
which is at Jerusalem, and brought
unto Babylon, be restored, and brought again unto the temple which is at Jerusalem, every one to his place, and place them in the house of God.

will require nothing of them; so will we do as thou sayest. Then I called the

should do according to this promise.

took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in
company.

took I the cup at the LORD’S hand, and made all
the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me:

24-27:20 Which
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he
carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem
to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;

away from this place, and carried them to Babylon:

according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took

I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it,

all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son
of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast
read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.
24-36:21 So
the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took
it out of Elishama the scribe’s chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the
king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king.
24-36:32 Then

of Babylon.

took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon

mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire.
24-38:11 So
Ebedmelech took the men with him, and went into
the house of the king under the treasury, and took
thence old cast clouts and old rotten rags, and let them down by cords into the
dungeon to Jeremiah.
24-38:13 So
they drew up Jeremiah with cords, and took him up
out of the dungeon: and Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.

captains of the forces that were with

of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after that he
had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, even
mighty men of war, and the women, and the children, and the eunuchs, whom
he had brought again from Gibeon:

king of Babylon hath heard the report of them, and his hands waxed feeble:

king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; where he gave judgment upon
him.

caldrons also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the
spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.

the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king’s
person, which were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who
mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land,
that were found in the midst of the city.

and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.

took the young men to grind, and the children
fell under the wood.
26-3:12 Then
the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a
voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed
be the glory of the LORD from his
place.
26-3:14 So
the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I
went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was
strong upon me.
26-8:3 And
he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by
a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the

26-11:24 Afterwards
the spirit took me up, and brought me in a
vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the

took also of the seed of the land, and planted
it in a fruitful field; he placed it by
great waters, and set it as a willow tree.

when she saw that she had waited, and her
hope was lost, then she took another of her
whelps, and made him a young lion.
26-23:10 These
discovered her nakedness: they took her sons and
her daughters, and slew her with the sword: and she became famous among women;
for they had executed judgment upon her.
26-23:13 Then
I saw that she was defiled, that they
took both
one way,
26-29:7 When
they took hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst
break, and rend all their shoulder: and when they leaned upon thee, thou
brakest, and madest all their loins to be at a stand.
26-33:5 He
heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not
warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver
his soul.

inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.

which I had made with all the people.

away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40-25:1 Then
shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the

40-25:4 But
the wise took oil in their vessels with their
lamps.

I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I
was a stranger, and ye took me in:
40-25:38 When
saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
40-25:43 I
was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked,
and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

price of blood.

the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the
common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.
40-27:30 And
they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote
him on the head.
40-27:31 And
after that they had mocked him, they took the
robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.
40-27:48 And
straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge,
and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.
40-28:15 So
they took the money, and did as they were
taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her
up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.

when his disciples heard of it, they
came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a
tomb.

they took up twelve baskets full of the
fragments, and of the fishes.
41-7:33 And
he took him aside from the multitude, and put
his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;
41-8:6 And
he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and
gave to his disciples to set before them;
and they did set them before the
people.
41-8:8 So
they did eat, and were filled: and they took up
of the broken meat that was left
seven baskets.
41-8:19 When
I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments
took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.

he took the blind man by the hand, and led him
out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him,
he asked him if he saw ought.

he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him,
and began to rebuke him.
41-9:27 But
Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up;
and he arose.
41-9:36 And
he took a child, and set him in the midst of
them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
41-10:16 And
he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
41-10:32 And
they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and

things should happen unto him,
41-12:8 And
they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of
the vineyard.
41-12:20 Now
there were seven brethren: and the first took a
wife, and dying left no seed.
41-12:21 And
the second took her, and died, neither left he
any seed: and the third likewise.
41-14:22 And
as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed,
and brake it, and gave to them, and
said, Take, eat: this is my body.
41-14:23 And
he took the cup, and when he had given thanks,
he gave it to them: and they all
drank of it.
41-14:46 And
they laid their hands on him, and took him.
41-14:49 I
was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took
me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.
41-15:20 And
when they had mocked him, they took off the
purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify
him.
41-15:46 And
he bought fine linen, and took him down, and
wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a
rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.
42-2:28 Then
took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and
said,
42-5:25 And
immediately he rose up before them, and took up
that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.
42-8:54 And
he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and
called, saying, Maid, arise.
42-9:10 And
the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert
place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.
42-9:16 Then
he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and
looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to
set before the multitude.
42-9:28 And
it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a
mountain to pray.
42-9:47 And
Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took
a child, and set him by him,
42-10:34 And
went to him, and bound up his wounds,
pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an
inn, and took care of him.
42-10:35 And
on the morrow when he departed, he took out two
pence, and gave them to the host, and
said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come
again, I will repay thee.
42-13:19 It
is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took,
and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of
the air lodged in the branches of it.
42-13:21 It
is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in
three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
42-14:4 And
they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go;
42-15:13 And
not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted
his substance with riotous living.
42-18:31 Then
he took unto
him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all
things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be
accomplished.
42-20:29 There
were therefore seven brethren: and the first took
a wife, and died without children.
42-20:30 And
the second took her to wife, and he died
childless.
42-20:31 And
the third took her; and in like manner the seven
also: and they left no children, and died.
42-22:17 And
he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take
this, and divide it among yourselves:
42-22:19 And
he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is
my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
42-22:54 Then
took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest’s house. And Peter
followed afar off.
42-23:53 And
he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and
laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was
laid.
42-24:30 And
it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took
bread, and blessed it, and brake, and
gave to them.
42-24:43 And
he took it,
and did eat before them.
43-5:9 And
immediately the man was made whole, and took up
his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
43-6:11 And
Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given
thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were
set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
43-6:24 When
the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they
also took shipping, and came to Capernaum,
seeking for Jesus.
43-8:59 Then
took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus
hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and
so passed by.
43-10:31 Then
the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
43-11:41 Then
they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee
that thou hast heard me.
43-11:53 Then
from that day forth they took counsel together
for to put him to death.
43-12:3 Then
took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very
costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and
the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
43-12:13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet
him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the
King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
43-13:4 He
riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took
a towel, and girded himself.
43-18:12 Then
the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took
Jesus, and bound him,
43-19:1 Then
Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.
43-19:16 Then
delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.
43-19:23 Then
the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took
his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam,
woven from the top throughout.
43-19:27 Then
saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
43-19:38 And
after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for
fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus:
and Pilate gave him leave. He came
therefore, and took the body of Jesus.
43-19:40 Then
took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in
linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
44-1:16 Men
and brethren, this scripture must
needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake
before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took
Jesus.
44-3:7 And
he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and
ancle bones received strength.
44-4:13 Now
when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were
unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took
knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

when he was cast out, Pharaoh’s daughter took
him up, and nourished him for her own son.

ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star
of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry
you away beyond Babylon.

after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took
counsel to kill him:
44-9:25 Then
the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket.
44-9:27 But
Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto
them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and
how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
44-10:26 But
Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself
also am a man.
44-12:25 And
Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark.
44-13:29 And
when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down
from the tree, and laid him in a
sepulchre.
44-15:39 And
the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from
the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed
unto Cyprus;
44-16:3 Him
would Paul have to go forth with him; and took
and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they
knew all that his father was a Greek.
44-16:33 And
he took them the same hour of the night, and
washed their stripes; and was baptized,
he and all his, straightway.
44-17:5 But
the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took
unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and
set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring
them out to the people.

all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the chief ruler
of the synagogue, and beat him before
the judgment seat. And Gallio cared for none of those things.
44-18:18 And
Paul after this tarried there yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into
Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn his head in Cenchrea: for he had a vow.
44-18:26 And
he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had
heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

and came to Mitylene.

ship; and they returned home again.

and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall
the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.
44-21:15 And
after those days we took up our carriages, and
went up to Jerusalem.

Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself
with them entered into the temple, to signify the accomplishment of the days of
purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of them.
44-21:30 And
all the city was moved, and the people ran together: and they took Paul, and drew him out of the temple: and
forthwith the doors were shut.
44-21:32 Who
immediately took soldiers and centurions, and
ran down unto them: and when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, they
left beating of Paul.
44-21:33 Then
the chief captain came near, and took him, and
commanded him to be bound with two
chains; and demanded who he was, and what he had done.
44-23:18 So
he took him, and brought him to the chief captain, and said, Paul the prisoner called me
unto him, and prayed me to bring this
young man unto thee, who hath something to say unto thee.
44-23:19 Then
the chief captain took him by the hand, and went
with him aside privately, and asked him, What is that thou hast to tell me?
44-23:31 Then
the soldiers, as it was commanded them, took
Paul, and brought him by night to
Antipatris.

also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took,
and would have judged according to our law.
44-24:7 But
the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and
with great violence took him away out of our hands,
44-27:35 And
when he had thus spoken, he took bread, and gave
thanks to God in presence of them all: and when he had broken it, he began to eat.
44-27:36 Then
were they all of good cheer, and they also took some meat.
44-28:15 And
from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as
Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage.
46-11:23 For
I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord
Jesus the same night in which he was

the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup
is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me
also.

made himself of no reputation, and took upon him
the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
51-2:14 Blotting
out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to
us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to
his cross;
58-2:14 Forasmuch
then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise
took part of the same; that through death he
might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
58-2:16 For
verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took
on him the seed of Abraham.

according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of
Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not,
saith the Lord.

came and took the book out of the right hand of
him that sat upon the throne.

of the altar, and cast it into the
earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an

it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my
belly was bitter.

mighty angel took up a stone like a great
