01-GENESIS
01-2:14 And
the name of the third river is Hiddekel:
that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
01-12:9 And
Abram journeyed, going on still toward the
south.
01-13:12 Abram
dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and
pitched his tent toward Sodom.
01-15:5 And
he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward
heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto
him, So shall thy seed be.
01-18:2 And
he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he
saw them, he ran to meet them from
the tent door, and bowed himself toward the
ground,
01-18:16 And
the men rose up from thence, and looked toward
Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.
01-18:22 And
the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward
Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.
01-19:1 And
there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and
Lot seeing them rose up to meet them;
and he bowed himself with his face toward the
ground;
01-19:28 And
he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo,
the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
01-20:1 And
Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south
country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.
01-25:18 And
they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is
before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his
brethren.
01-28:10 And
Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward
Haran.
01-30:40 And
Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in the flock
of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto
Laban’s cattle.
01-31:2 And
Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban, and, behold, it was not toward him as before.
01-31:5 And
said unto them, I see your father’s countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the
God of my father hath been with me.
01-31:21 So
he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the river, and
set his face toward
the mount Gilead.
01-48:13 And
Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward
Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward
Israel’s right hand, and brought them near
unto him.
02-9:8 And
the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the
furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the
heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
02-9:10 And
they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled
it up toward heaven; and it became a boil
breaking forth with blains upon man,
and upon beast.
02-9:22 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward
heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon
beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.
02-9:23 And
Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and
the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the
LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
02-10:21 And
the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward
heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.
02-10:22 And
Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven;
and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:
02-16:10 And
it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of
Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness,
and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.
02-25:20 And
the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings
on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims
be.
02-26:35 And
thou shalt set the table without the vail, and the candlestick over against the
table on the side of the tabernacle toward the
south: and thou shalt put the table on the north side.
02-28:27 And
two other rings of gold thou shalt
make, and shalt put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart thereof, over against the other coupling thereof, above the
curious girdle of the ephod.
02-34:8 And
Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the
earth, and worshipped.
02-36:25 And
for the other side of the tabernacle, which
is toward the north corner, he made twenty
boards,
02-39:20 And
they made two other golden rings, and
put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward
the forepart of it, over against the other
coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.
03-9:22 And
Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and
blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt
offering, and peace offerings.
03-13:41 And
he that hath his hair fallen off from the part of his head toward his face, he is forehead bald: yet is he
clean.
04-2:3 And
on the east side toward the rising of the sun
shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pitch throughout their armies:
and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be
captain of the children of Judah.
04-3:38 But
those that encamp before the tabernacle toward
the east, even before the tabernacle
of the congregation eastward, shall be Moses,
and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of
the children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to
death.
04-16:42 And
it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against
Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of
the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD
appeared.
04-21:11 And
they journeyed from Oboth, and pitched at Ijeabarim, in the wilderness which is before Moab, toward
the sunrising.
04-21:20 And
from Bamoth in the valley that is in the country of Moab, to the top of
Pisgah, which looketh toward Jeshimon.
04-23:28 And
Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh toward Jeshimon.
04-24:1 And
when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at
other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
04-32:14 And,
behold, ye are risen up in your fathers’ stead, an increase of sinful men, to
augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward
Israel.
04-34:15 The
two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side
Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising.
05-4:41 Then
Moses severed three cities on this side Jordan toward
the sun rising;
05-4:47 And
they possessed his land, and the land of Og king of Bashan, two kings of the
Amorites, which were on this side
Jordan toward the sun rising;
05-28:54 So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward
the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of
his children which he shall leave:
05-28:56 The
tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole
of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be
evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward
her daughter,
05-28:57 And
toward her young one that cometh out from
between her feet, and toward her children which
she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy
shall distress thee in thy gates.
06-1:4 From
the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates,
all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward
the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
06-1:15 Until
the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he
hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your
God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and
enjoy it, which Moses the LORD’S servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising.
06-3:16 That
the waters which came down from above stood and
rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even
the salt sea, failed, and were
cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.
06-8:18 And
the LORD said unto Joshua, Stretch out the spear that is in thy hand toward Ai; for I will
give it into thine hand. And Joshua stretched out the spear that he had in his hand toward the city.
06-12:1 Now
these are the kings of the land,
which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side
Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river
Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:
06-13:5 And
the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward
the sunrising, from Baalgad under mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath.
06-15:4 From thence it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto the river of Egypt;
and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this shall be your south
coast.
06-15:7 And
the border went up toward Debir from the valley
of Achor, and so northward, looking toward
Gilgal, that is before the going up
to Adummim, which is on the south
side of the river: and the border passed toward
the waters of Enshemesh, and the goings out thereof were at Enrogel:
06-15:21 And
the uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and
Eder, and Jagur,
06-16:6 And
the border went out toward the sea to Michmethah
on the north side; and the border went about eastward unto Taanathshiloh, and
passed by it on the east to Janohah;
06-18:13 And
the border went over from thence toward Luz, to
the side of Luz, which is Bethel,
southward; and the border descended to Atarothadar, near the hill that lieth on the south side of the nether
Bethhoron.
06-18:17 And
was drawn from the north, and went forth to Enshemesh, and went forth toward Geliloth, which is over against the going up of Adummim, and descended to the stone
of Bohan the son of Reuben,
06-18:18 And
passed along toward the side over against Arabah
northward, and went down unto Arabah:
06-19:11 And
their border went up toward the sea, and
Maralah, and reached to Dabbasheth, and reached to the river that is before Jokneam;
06-19:12 And
turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrising
unto the border of Chislothtabor, and then goeth out to Daberath, and goeth up
to Japhia.
06-19:18 And
their border was toward Jezreel, and Chesulloth,
and Shunem,
06-19:27 And
turneth toward the sunrising to Bethdagon, and
reacheth to Zebulun, and to the valley of Jiphthahel toward
the north side of Bethemek, and Neiel, and goeth out to Cabul on the left hand,
06-19:34 And
then the coast turneth westward to
Aznothtabor, and goeth out from thence to Hukkok, and reacheth to Zebulun on
the south side, and reacheth to Asher on the west side, and to Judah upon
Jordan toward the sunrising.
07-3:28 And
he said unto them, Follow after me: for the LORD hath delivered your enemies
the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords
of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to
pass over.
07-4:6 And
she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said
unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount
Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of
the children of Zebulun?
07-5:9 My
heart is toward
the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people.
Bless ye the LORD.
07-5:11 They that are delivered from the noise
of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall they rehearse the
righteous acts of the LORD, even the
righteous acts toward
the inhabitants of his villages in Israel: then shall the people of the
LORD go down to the gates.
07-8:3 God
hath delivered into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb: and what
was I able to do in comparison of you? Then their anger was abated toward him, when he had said that.
07-13:20 For
it came to pass, when the flame went up toward
heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of
the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground.
07-19:9 And
when the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father
in law, the damsel’s father, said unto him, Behold, now the day draweth toward evening, I pray you tarry all night: behold,
the day groweth to an end, lodge here, that thine heart may be merry; and to
morrow get you early on your way, that thou mayest go home.
07-19:18 And
he said unto him, We are passing from
Bethlehemjudah toward the side of mount Ephraim;
from thence am I: and I went to
Bethlehemjudah, but I am now going to
the house of the LORD; and there is no
man that receiveth me to house.
07-20:43 Thus they inclosed the Benjamites round
about, and chased them, and trode them down with ease over
against Gibeah toward the sunrising.
07-20:45 And
they turned and fled toward the wilderness unto
the rock of Rimmon: and they gleaned of them in the highways five thousand men;
and pursued hard after them unto Gidom, and slew two thousand men of them.
09-13:18 And
another company turned the way to Bethhoron:
and another company turned to the way
of the border that looketh to the valley of Zeboim toward
the wilderness.
09-17:30 And
he turned from him toward another, and spake
after the same manner: and the people answered him again after the former
manner.
09-17:48 And
it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet
David, that David hasted, and ran toward the
army to meet the Philistine.
09-20:12 And
Jonathan said unto David, O LORD God of Israel, when I have sounded my father
about to morrow any time, or the
third day, and, behold, if there be good toward David, and I then send not unto thee, and shew it thee;
09-20:41 And as soon as the lad was gone, David
arose out of a place toward the south, and fell on his face to the ground,
and bowed himself three times: and they kissed one another, and wept one with
another, until David exceeded.
10-14:1 Now
Joab the son of Zeruiah perceived that the king’s heart was toward Absalom.
10-15:23 And
all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the
king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over,
toward the way of the wilderness.
10-24:5 And
they passed over Jordan, and pitched in Aroer, on the right side of the city
that lieth in the midst of the river
of Gad, and toward Jazer:
10-24:20 And
Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming on toward him: and Araunah went out, and bowed himself
before the king on his face upon the ground.
11-7:9 All
these were of costly stones,
according to the measures of hewed stones, sawed with saws, within and without,
even from the foundation unto the coping, and so on the outside toward the great
court.
11-7:25 It
stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the
north, and three looking toward the west, and
three looking toward the south, and three
looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their
hinder parts were inward.
11-8:22 And
Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the
congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward
heaven:
11-8:29 That
thine eyes may be open toward this house night
and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there:
that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.
11-8:30 And
hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when
they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou
in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive.
11-8:35 When
heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee;
if they pray toward this place, and confess thy
name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them:
11-8:38 What
prayer and supplication soever be made by
any man, or by all thy people Israel,
which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his
hands toward this house:
11-8:42 (For
they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy stretched
out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward
this house;
11-8:44 If
thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou shalt send
them, and shall pray unto the LORD toward the
city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I have built for thy name:
11-8:48 And
so return unto thee with all their heart,
and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away
captive, and pray unto thee toward their land,
which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the
house which I have built for thy name:
11-14:13 And
all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him: for he only of Jeroboam shall
come to the grave, because in him there is found some good thing toward the LORD God
of Israel in the house of Jeroboam.
11-18:43 And
said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the
sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There
is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.
12-3:14 And
Elisha said, As the LORD of hosts
liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of
Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward
thee, nor see thee.
12-25:4 And
the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which is by the king’s garden: (now the
Chaldees were against the city round about:)
and the king went the way toward the plain.
13-9:24 In
four quarters were the porters, toward the east,
west, north, and south.
13-12:15 These
are they that went over Jordan in the
first month, when it had overflown all his banks; and they put to flight all them of the valleys, both toward
the east, and toward the west.
13-26:17 Eastward
were six Levites, northward four a
day, southward four a day, and toward Asuppim
two and two.
14-4:4 It
stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the
north, and three looking toward the west, and
three looking toward the south, and three
looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their
hinder parts were inward.
14-6:13 For
Solomon had made a brasen scaffold, of five cubits long, and five cubits broad,
and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he
stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel,
and spread forth his hands toward heaven,
14-6:20 That
thine eyes may be open upon this house day and night, upon the place whereof
thou hast said that thou wouldest put thy name there; to hearken unto the
prayer which thy servant prayeth toward this
place.
14-6:21 Hearken
therefore unto the supplications of thy servant, and of thy people Israel,
which they shall make toward this place: hear
thou from thy dwelling place, even from
heaven; and when thou hearest, forgive.
14-6:26 When
the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against
thee; yet if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from
their sin, when thou dost afflict them;
14-6:34 If
thy people go out to war against their enemies by the way that thou shalt send
them, and they pray unto thee toward this city
which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name;
14-6:38 If
they return to thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of
their captivity, whither they have carried them captives, and pray toward their land, which thou gavest unto their
fathers, and toward
the city which thou hast chosen, and toward
the house which I have built for thy name:
14-16:9 For
the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself
strong in the behalf of them whose
heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore
from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
14-20:24 And
when Judah came toward the watch tower in the
wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth,
and none escaped.
14-24:16 And
they buried him in the city of David among the kings, because he had done good
in Israel, both toward God, and toward his house.
14-31:14 And
Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the porter toward
the east, was over the freewill
offerings of God, to distribute the oblations of the LORD, and the most holy
things.
15-3:11 And
they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD;
because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great
shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the
LORD was laid.
16-3:26 Moreover
the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel, unto the
place over against the water gate toward the
east, and the tower that lieth out.
16-12:31 Then
I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon
the wall toward the dung gate:
17-1:13 Then
the king said to the wise men, which knew the times, (for so was the king’s manner toward all that knew law and judgment:
17-8:4 Then
the king held out the golden sceptre toward Esther.
So Esther arose, and stood before the king,
18-2:12 And
when they lifted up their eyes afar off, and knew him not, they lifted up their
voice, and wept; and they rent every one his mantle, and sprinkled dust upon
their heads toward heaven.
18-11:13 If
thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward
him;
18-39:26 Doth
the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch
her wings toward the south?
19-5:7 But
as for me, I will come into thy house
in the multitude of thy mercy: and in
thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
19-25:15 Mine
eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
19-28:2 Hear
the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.
19-66:5 Come
and see the works of God: he is terrible
in his doing toward
the children of men.
19-85:4 Turn
us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward
us to cease.
19-86:13 For
great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the
lowest hell.
19-98:3 He
hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward
the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our
God.
19-103:11 For
as the heaven is high above the earth, so
great is his mercy toward them that fear
him.
19-116:12 What
shall I render unto the LORD for all
his benefits toward me?
19-117:2 For
his merciful kindness is great toward us: and
the truth of the LORD endureth for
ever. Praise ye the LORD.
19-138:2 I
will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise
thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy
word above all thy name.
20-14:35 The
king’s favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.
20-23:5 Wilt
thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
21-1:6 The
wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about
unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again
according to his circuits.
21-11:3 If
the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves
upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward
the south, or toward the north, in the place
where the tree falleth, there it shall be.
22-7:4 Thy
neck is as a tower of ivory; thine
eyes like the fishpools in Heshbon,
by the gate of Bathrabbim: thy nose is as
the tower of Lebanon which looketh toward
Damascus.
22-7:10 I
am my beloved’s, and his desire is toward
me.
23-7:1 And
it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king
of Judah, that Rezin the king of
Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not
prevail against it.
23-11:14 But
they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward
the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand
upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.
23-29:13 Wherefore
the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have
removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward
me is taught by the precept of men:
23-38:2 Then
Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed
unto the LORD,
23-49:23 And
kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they
shall bow down to thee with their face
toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy
feet; and thou shalt know that I am the
LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
23-63:7 I
will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD hath
bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward
the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies,
and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.
23-63:15 Look
down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy
glory: where is thy zeal and thy strength,
the sounding of thy bowels and of thy mercies toward
me? are they restrained?
23-66:14 And
when ye see this, your heart shall
rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD
shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward
his enemies.
24-1:13 And
the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And
I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north.
24-3:12 Go
and proclaim these words toward the north, and
say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever.
24-4:6 Set
up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not:
for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.
24-4:11 At
that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the
high places in the wilderness toward the
daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse,
24-12:3 But
thou, O LORD, knowest me: thou hast seen me, and tried mine heart toward thee: pull them out like sheep for the
slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.
24-15:1 Then
said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.
24-29:10 For
thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will
visit you, and perform my good word toward you,
in causing you to return to this place.
24-29:11 For
I know the thoughts that I think toward you,
saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected
end.
24-31:21 Set
thee up waymarks, make thee high heaps: set thine heart toward the highway, even the
way which thou wentest: turn again, O
virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities.
24-31:40 And
the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto
the brook of Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward
the east, shall be holy unto the
LORD; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever.
24-46:6 Let
not the swift flee away, nor the mighty man escape; they shall stumble, and
fall toward the north by the river Euphrates.
24-49:36 And
upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and
will scatter them toward all those winds; and
there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come.
25-2:19 Arise,
cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like
water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward
him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of
every street.
26-1:23 And
under the firmament were their wings
straight, the one toward the other: every one
had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on
that side, their bodies.
26-4:7 Therefore
thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of
Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered,
and thou shalt prophesy against it.
26-6:2 Son
of man, set thy face toward the mountains of
Israel, and prophesy against them,
26-6:14 So
will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more
desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in
all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
26-8:3 And
he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the
spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the
visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.
26-8:5 Then
said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of
the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.
26-8:14 Then
he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD’S house which was toward
the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.
26-8:16 And
he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S house, and, behold, at the
door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with
their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and
their faces toward the east; and they worshipped
the sun toward the east.
26-9:2 And,
behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in
his hand; and one man among them was clothed
with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood
beside the brasen altar.
26-12:14 And
I will scatter toward every wind all that are about him to help him, and all his
bands; and I will draw out the sword after them.
26-16:42 So
will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my
jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more
angry.
26-16:63 That
thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more
because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward
thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD.
26-17:6 And
it grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature, whose branches turned toward him, and the roots thereof were under him: so
it became a vine, and brought forth branches, and shot forth sprigs.
26-17:7 There
was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and, behold,
this vine did bend her roots toward him, and
shot forth her branches toward him, that he
might water it by the furrows of her plantation.
26-17:21 And
all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that
remain shall be scattered toward all winds: and
ye shall know that I the LORD have spoken it.
26-20:46 Son
of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop thy word toward
the south, and prophesy against the forest of the south field;
26-21:2 Son
of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward
the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,
26-24:23 And
your tires shall be upon your heads,
and your shoes upon your feet: ye shall not mourn nor weep; but ye shall pine
away for your iniquities, and mourn one toward
another.
26-33:25 Wherefore
say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Ye eat with the blood, and lift up your
eyes toward your idols, and shed blood: and
shall ye possess the land?
26-40:6 Then
came he unto the gate which looketh toward the
east, and went up the stairs thereof, and measured the threshold of the gate, which was one reed broad; and the other
threshold of the gate, which was one
reed broad.
26-40:20 And
the gate of the outward court that looked toward
the north, he measured the length thereof, and the breadth thereof.
26-40:22 And
their windows, and their arches, and their palm trees, were after the measure of the gate that looketh toward the east; and they went up unto it by seven
steps; and the arches thereof were before
them.
26-40:23 And
the gate of the inner court was over
against the gate toward the north, and toward the east; and he measured from gate to gate an
hundred cubits.
26-40:24 After
that he brought me toward the south, and behold
a gate toward the south: and he measured the
posts thereof and the arches thereof according to these measures.
26-40:27 And
there was a gate in the inner court toward the south: and he measured from gate to gate toward the south an hundred cubits.
26-40:31 And
the arches thereof were toward the utter court; and palm trees were upon the posts thereof: and the
going up to it had eight steps.
26-40:32 And
he brought me into the inner court toward the
east: and he measured the gate according to these measures.
26-40:34 And
the arches thereof were toward the outward court; and palm trees were upon the posts thereof, on this
side, and on that side: and the going up to it had eight steps.
26-40:37 And
the posts thereof were toward the utter court; and palm trees were upon the posts thereof, on this
side, and on that side: and the going up to it had eight steps.
26-40:44 And
without the inner gate were the
chambers of the singers in the inner court, which was at the side of the north gate; and their prospect was toward
the south: one at the side of the east gate having
the prospect toward the north.
26-40:45 And
he said unto me, This chamber, whose prospect is toward the south, is for the priests, the keepers of the
charge of the house.
26-40:46 And
the chamber whose prospect is toward the north is
for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar: these are the sons of Zadok among the sons of
Levi, which come near to the LORD to minister unto him.
26-41:11 And
the doors of the side chambers were toward the place
that was left, one door toward the north,
and another door toward the south: and the
breadth of the place that was left was five
cubits round about.
26-41:12 Now
the building that was before the
separate place at the end toward the west was seventy cubits broad; and the wall
of the building was five cubits thick
round about, and the length thereof ninety cubits.
26-41:14 Also
the breadth of the face of the house, and of the separate place toward the east, an hundred cubits.
26-41:19 So
that the face of a man was toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of
a young lion toward the palm tree on the other
side: it was made through all the
house round about.
26-42:1 Then
he brought me forth into the utter court, the way toward
the north: and he brought me into the chamber that was over against the separate place, and which was before the building toward the
north.
26-42:4 And
before the chambers was a walk of ten
cubits breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors toward the north.
26-42:7 And
the wall that was without over
against the chambers, toward the utter court on
the forepart of the chambers, the length thereof was fifty cubits.
26-42:10 The
chambers were in the thickness of the
wall of the court toward the east, over against
the separate place, and over against the building.
26-42:11 And
the way before them was like the
appearance of the chambers which were toward the north, as long as they, and as broad as they: and all their
goings out were both according to
their fashions, and according to their doors.
26-42:12 And
according to the doors of the chambers that were
toward the south was a door in the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward
the east, as one entereth into them.
26-42:15 Now
when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it
round about.
26-43:1 Afterward
he brought me to the gate, even the
gate that looketh toward the east:
26-43:4 And
the glory of the LORD came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect
is toward
the east.
26-43:17 And
the settle shall be fourteen cubits long and fourteen broad in the
four squares thereof; and the border about it shall be half a cubit; and the bottom thereof shall be a cubit about; and his stairs shall look toward the east.
26-44:1 Then
he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut.
26-46:1 Thus
saith the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days;
but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall
be opened.
26-46:12 Now
when the prince shall prepare a voluntary burnt offering or peace offerings
voluntarily unto the LORD, one shall
then open him the gate that looketh toward the
east, and he shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, as he
did on the sabbath day: then he shall go forth; and after his going forth one shall shut the gate.
26-46:19 After
he brought me through the entry, which was
at the side of the gate, into the holy chambers of the priests, which
looked toward the north: and, behold, there was a place on the two sides westward.
26-47:1 Afterward
he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from
under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the
east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at
the south side of the altar.
26-47:8 Then
said he unto me, These waters issue out toward
the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea,
the waters shall be healed.
26-47:15 And
this shall be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the way of Hethlon,
as men go to Zedad;
26-48:10 And
for them, even for the priests, shall
be this holy oblation; toward the north five and twenty thousand in length, and toward
the west ten thousand in breadth, and toward the
east ten thousand in breadth, and toward the
south five and twenty thousand in length: and the sanctuary of the LORD shall
be in the midst thereof.
26-48:17 And
the suburbs of the city shall be toward the
north two hundred and fifty, and toward the
south two hundred and fifty, and toward the east
two hundred and fifty, and toward the west two
hundred and fifty.
26-48:21 And
the residue shall be for the prince,
on the one side and on the other of the holy oblation, and of the possession of
the city, over against the five and twenty thousand of the oblation toward the east border, and westward over against the
five and twenty thousand toward the west border,
over against the portions for the prince: and it shall be the holy oblation;
and the sanctuary of the house shall be in
the midst thereof.
26-48:28 And
by the border of Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall be even
from Tamar unto the waters of strife in Kadesh, and to the river toward the great
sea.
27-4:2 I
thought it good to shew the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought toward me.
27-6:10 Now
when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his
windows being open in his chamber toward
Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave
thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
27-8:8 Therefore
the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was
broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward
the four winds of heaven.
27-8:9 And
out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward
the east, and toward the pleasant land.
27-8:18 Now
as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me
upright.
27-10:9 Yet
heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then
was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward
the ground.
27-10:15 And
when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward
the ground, and I became dumb.
27-11:4 And
when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his
posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be
plucked up, even for others beside those.
27-11:19 Then
he shall turn his face toward the fort of his
own land: but he shall stumble and fall, and not be found.
27-11:29 At
the time appointed he shall return, and come toward
the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter.
28-3:1 Then
said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods,
and love flagons of wine.
28-5:1 Hear
ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house
of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah,
and a net spread upon Tabor.
29-2:20 But
I will remove far off from you the northern army,
and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up,
and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.
32-2:4 Then
I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.
38-6:6 The
black horses which are therein go
forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the
grisled go forth toward the south country.
38-6:8 Then
cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the
north country.
38-9:1 The
burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest thereof: when the eyes
of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall
be toward the LORD.
38-14:4 And
his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the
mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward
the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley;
and half of the mountain shall remove toward the
north, and half of it toward the south.
38-14:8 And
it shall be in that day, that living
waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward
the former sea, and half of them toward the
hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
40-12:49 And
he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples,
and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
40-14:14 And
Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
40-28:1 In
the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward
the first day of the week, came Mary
Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
41-6:34 And
Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a
shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
42-2:14 Glory
to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward
men.
42-12:21 So
is he that layeth up treasure for
himself, and is not rich toward God.
42-13:22 And
he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.
42-24:29 But
they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward
evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
43-JOHN
43-6:17 And
entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward
Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.
44-1:10 And
while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he
went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
44-8:26 And
the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from
Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.
44-20:21 Testifying
both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward
God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
44-22:3 I
am verily a man which am a Jew, born
in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet
brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the
fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all
are this day.
44-24:15 And
have hope toward God, which they themselves also
allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and
unjust.
44-24:16 And
herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.
44-27:12 And
because the haven was not commodious to winter in, the more part advised to
depart thence also, if by any means they might attain to Phenice, and there to winter; which is an haven of Crete, and lieth toward the south west and north west.
44-27:40 And
when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea, and loosed the rudder bands, and hoisted
up the mainsail to the wind, and made toward
shore.
44-28:14 Where
we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them seven days: and so we
went toward Rome.
45-1:27 And
likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their
lust one toward another; men with men working
that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their
error which was meet.
45-5:8 But
God commendeth his love toward us, in that,
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
45-11:22 Behold
therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt
be cut off.
45-12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend
to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
45-15:5 Now
the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
46-7:36 But
if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward
his virgin, if she pass the flower of her
age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them
marry.
47-1:16 And
to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia unto you, and
of you to be brought on my way toward Judaea.
47-1:18 But
as God is true, our word toward you was not
yea and nay.
47-2:8 Wherefore
I beseech you that ye would confirm your love
toward him.
47-7:4 Great
is my boldness of speech toward you, great is
my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all
our tribulation.
47-7:7 And
not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in
you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.
47-7:15 And
his inward affection is more abundant toward
you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and
trembling ye received him.
47-9:8 And
God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in
all things, may abound to every good
work:
47-10:1 Now
I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in
presence am base among you, but being
absent am bold toward you:
47-13:4 For
though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God.
For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.
48-2:8 (For
he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision,
the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)
49-1:8 Wherein
he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
49-2:7 That
in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward
us through Christ Jesus.
50-2:30 Because
for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply
your lack of service toward me.
50-3:14 I
press toward the mark for the prize of the high
calling of God in Christ Jesus.
51-4:5 Walk
in wisdom toward them that are without,
redeeming the time.
52-3:12 And
the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward
another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
52-4:10 And
indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which
are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and
more;
52-4:12 That
ye may walk honestly toward them that are
without, and that ye may have lack of
nothing.
52-5:14 Now
we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded,
support the weak, be patient toward all men.
53-1:3 We
are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that
your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
56-3:4 But
after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward
man appeared,
57-1:5 Hearing
of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward
the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
58-6:1 Therefore
leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection;
not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
58-6:10 For
God is not unrighteous to forget your
work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward
his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
60-2:19 For
this is thankworthy, if a man for
conscience toward God endure grief, suffering
wrongfully.
60-3:21 The
like figure whereunto even baptism
doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the
answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the
resurrection of Jesus Christ:
62-3:21 Beloved,
if our heart condemn us not, then have
we confidence toward God.
62-4:9 In
this was manifested the love of God toward us,
because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live
through him.
