45-ROMANS
45-1:1 Paul, a
servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
45-1:10 Making
request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the
will of God to come unto you.
45-1:11 For I
long to see you, that I may impart unto you some
spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
45-1:13 Now I
would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have
some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
45-1:16 For I am
not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew
first, and also to the Greek.
45-1:19 Because
that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
45-1:26 For this
cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for
even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
45-2:5 But
after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto
thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment
of God;
45-2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the
truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
45-2:14 For when
the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the
law, these, having not the law, are a law unto
themselves:
45-3:2 Much
every way: chiefly, because that unto them were
committed the oracles of God.
45-3:7 For if
the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto
his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
45-3:22 Even the
righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is
no difference:
45-4:3 For what
saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
45-4:6 Even as
David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto
whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
45-4:11 And he
received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith
which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all
them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be
imputed unto them also:
45-5:5 And hope
maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the
Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
45-5:15 But not
as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of
one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which
is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto
many.
45-5:16 And not
as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was
by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
45-5:18 Therefore
as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation;
even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
45-5:21 That as
sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace
reign through righteousness unto eternal life by
Jesus Christ our Lord.
45-6:10 For in
that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that
he liveth, he liveth unto God.
45-6:11 Likewise
reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto
sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our
Lord.
45-6:13 Neither
yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as
instruments of righteousness unto God.
45-6:16 Know ye
not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to
whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of
obedience unto righteousness?
45-6:19 I speak
after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have
yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants
to righteousness unto holiness.
45-6:22 But now
being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
45-7:4 Wherefore,
my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye
should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead,
that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
45-7:5 For when
we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in
our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
45-7:10 And the
commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
45-7:13 Was then
that which is good made death unto me? God forbid.
But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good;
that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
45-7:16 If then I
do that which I would not, I consent unto the
law that it is good.
45-9:12 It was
said unto her, The elder shall serve the
younger.
45-9:17 For the
scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same
purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my
name might be declared throughout all the earth.
45-9:19 Thou wilt
say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault?
For who hath resisted his will?
45-9:21 Hath not
the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto
dishonour?
45-9:23 And that
he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he
had afore prepared unto glory,
45-9:26 And it
shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall
they be called the children of the living God.
45-9:29 And as Esaias
said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as
Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha.
45-10:3 For they
being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own
righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto
the righteousness of God.
45-10:10 For with
the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and
with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation.
45-10:12 For there
is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is
rich unto all that call upon him.
45-10:18 But I say,
Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their
words unto the ends of the world.
45-10:20 But Esaias
is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made
manifest unto them that asked not after me.
45-10:21 But to
Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
45-11:4 But what
saith the answer of God unto him? I have
reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the
image of Baal.
45-11:8 (According
as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they
should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto
this day.
45-11:9 And David
saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a
recompence unto them:
45-11:11 I say
then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through
their fall salvation is come unto the
Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
45-11:27 For this is
my covenant unto them, when I shall take
away their sins.
45-11:35 Or who
hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto
him again?
45-12:1 I beseech
you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a
living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which
is your reasonable service.
45-12:3 For I
say, through the grace given unto me, to every
man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought
to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the
measure of faith.
45-12:19 Dearly
beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine;
I will repay, saith the Lord.
45-13:1 Let every
soul be subject unto the higher powers. For
there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
45-14:6 He that
regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the
Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He
that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth
not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
45-14:8 For
whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and
whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we
live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.
45-15:8 Now I say
that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to
confirm the promises made unto the
fathers:
45-15:9 And that the
Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this
cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
45-15:15 Nevertheless,
brethren, I have written the more boldly unto
you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to
me of God,
45-15:19 Through
mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from
Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I
have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
45-15:23 But now
having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years
to come unto you;
45-15:25 But now I
go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.
45-15:27 It hath
pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made
partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.
45-15:29 And I am
sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in
the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.
45-15:32 That I may
come unto you with joy by the will of God, and
may with you be refreshed.
45-16:1 I commend
unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of
the church which is at Cenchrea:
45-16:4 Who have
for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom
not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.
45-16:5 Likewise greet
the church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is
the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.
45-16:19 For your
obedience is come abroad unto all men. I
am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.
46-1 CORINTHIANS
46-1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that
are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in
every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
46-1:3 Grace be
unto you, and peace, from God our Father,
and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
46-1:8 Who
shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye
may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
46-1:9 God is
faithful, by whom ye were called unto the
fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
46-1:11 For it
hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren,
by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions
among you.
46-1:18 For the
preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
46-1:23 But we
preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a
stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
46-1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks,
Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
46-1:30 But of
him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto
us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
46-2:1 And I,
brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom,
declaring unto you the testimony of God.
46-2:7 But we
speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which
God ordained before the world unto our glory:
46-2:10 But God
hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:
for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
46-2:14 But the natural
man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because
they are spiritually discerned.
46-3:1 And I,
brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto
carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
46-3:10 According
to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a
wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon.
But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
46-4:9 For I
think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to
death: for we are made a spectacle unto the
world, and to angels, and to men.
46-4:11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and
are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;
46-4:13 Being
defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the
offscouring of all things unto this day.
46-4:17 For this
cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved
son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways
which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
46-4:21 What will
ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in
love, and in the spirit of meekness?
46-5:5 To
deliver such an one unto Satan for the
destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord
Jesus.
46-5:9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with
fornicators:
46-5:11 But now I
have written unto you not to keep company, if
any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater,
or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
46-6:12 All
things are lawful unto me, but all things are
not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under
the power of any.
46-6:17 But he
that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
46-7:1 Now
concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It
is good for a man not to touch a woman.
46-7:3 Let the
husband render unto the wife due benevolence:
and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
46-7:10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the
Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
46-7:27 Art thou
bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou
loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.
46-8:1 Now as
touching things offered unto idols, we know that
we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.
46-8:4 As
concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in
the world, and that there is none other God but one.
46-8:7 Howbeit there
is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is
defiled.
46-9:2 If I be
not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am
to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.
46-9:11 If we
have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a
great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
46-9:15 But I
have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it
should be so done unto me: for it were better
for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.
46-9:16 For
though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid
upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not
the gospel!
46-9:17 For if I
do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a
dispensation of the gospel is committed unto
me.
46-9:19 For
though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
46-9:20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the
Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that
are under the law;
46-10:2 And were
all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the
sea;
46-10:11 Now all
these things happened unto them for ensamples:
and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are
come.
46-10:28 But if any
man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and
for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness
thereof:
46-11:13 Judge in
yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto
God uncovered?
46-11:14 Doth not
even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
46-11:17 Now in
this that I declare unto you I praise you
not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
46-11:23 For I have
received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto
you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took
bread:
46-11:34 And if any
man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order
when I come.
46-12:2 Ye know
that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these
dumb idols, even as ye were led.
46-12:21 And the
eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of
thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
46-12:31 But covet
earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto
you a more excellent way.
46-14:2 For he
that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto
men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him;
howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
46-14:3 But he
that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification,
and exhortation, and comfort.
46-14:6 Now,
brethren, if I come unto you speaking with
tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by
revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?
46-14:11 Therefore
if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto
him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian
unto me.
46-14:21 In the law
it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not
hear me, saith the Lord.
46-14:26 How is it
then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a
doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all
things be done unto edifying.
46-14:34 Let your
women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to
be under obedience, as also saith the law.
46-14:36 What? came
the word of God out from you? or came it unto
you only?
46-14:37 If any man
think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the
things that I write unto you are the
commandments of the Lord.
46-15:1 Moreover,
brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I
preached unto you, which also ye have received,
and wherein ye stand;
46-15:2 By which
also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
46-15:3 For I
delivered unto you first of all that which I
also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
46-15:6 After
that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater
part remain unto this present, but some are
fallen asleep.
46-15:28 And when
all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall
the Son also himself be subject unto him that
put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
46-16:3 And when
I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to
bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.
46-16:5 Now I
will come unto you, when I shall pass through
Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia.
46-16:9 For a
great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there
are many adversaries.
46-16:11 Let no man
therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.
46-16:12 As
touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all
to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.
46-16:16 That ye
submit yourselves unto such, and to every one
that helpeth with us, and laboureth.
47-2 CORINTHIANS
47-1:1 Paul, an
apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all
the saints which are in all Achaia:
47-1:13 For we
write none other things unto you, than what ye
read or acknowledge; and I trust ye shall acknowledge even to the end;
47-1:15 And in
this confidence I was minded to come unto you
before, that ye might have a second benefit;
47-1:16 And to
pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia unto you, and of you to be brought on my way toward
Judaea.
47-1:20 For all
the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
47-1:23 Moreover
I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth.
47-2:3 And I
wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I
should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in
you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.
47-2:4 For out
of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto
you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the
love which I have more abundantly unto you.
47-2:12 Furthermore,
when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord,
47-2:14 Now
thanks be unto God, which always causeth
us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us
in every place.
47-2:15 For we
are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them
that are saved, and in them that perish:
47-2:16 To the
one we are the savour of death unto
death; and to the other the savour of life unto
life. And who is sufficient for these things?
47-3:15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon
their heart.
47-4:4 In whom the
god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the
light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
47-4:11 For we
which live are alway delivered unto death for
Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal
flesh.
47-5:5 Now he
that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
47-5:11 Knowing
therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your
consciences.
47-5:12 For we
commend not ourselves again unto you, but give
you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them
which glory in appearance, and not in heart.
47-5:15 And that
he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto
him which died for them, and rose again.
47-5:19 To wit,
that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto
himself, not imputing their trespasses unto
them; and hath committed unto us the word of
reconciliation.
47-6:11 O ye Corinthians,
our mouth is open unto you, our heart is
enlarged.
47-6:13 Now for a
recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,)
be ye also enlarged.
47-6:18 And will
be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons
and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
47-7:12 Wherefore,
though I wrote unto you, I did it not for
his cause that had done the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered wrong, but that
our care for you in the sight of God might appear unto
you.
47-8:2 How that
in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep
poverty abounded unto the riches of their
liberality.
47-8:5 And this
they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and
unto us by the will of God.
47-8:17 For
indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord
he went unto you.
47-9:5 Therefore
I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up before hand your bounty, whereof
ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty,
and not as of covetousness.
47-9:12 For the
administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but
is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
47-9:13 Whiles by
the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed
subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your
liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
47-9:15 Thanks be
unto God for his unspeakable gift.
47-10:13 But we
will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the
measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
47-10:14 For we stretch
not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching
the gospel of Christ:
47-11:9 And when
I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which
was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things
I have kept myself from being burdensome unto
you, and so will I keep myself.
47-12:9 And he
said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee:
for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I
rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
47-12:17 Did I make
a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto
you?
47-12:19 Again,
think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we
speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for
your edifying.
47-12:20 For I
fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I
shall be found unto you such as ye would not:
lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings,
whisperings, swellings, tumults:
48-GALATIANS
48-1:2 And all
the brethren which are with me, unto the
churches of Galatia:
48-1:6 I marvel
that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
48-1:8 But
though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
48-1:9 As we
said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be
accursed.
48-1:17 Neither
went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into
Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
48-1:20 Now the
things which I write unto you, behold, before
God, I lie not.
48-1:22 And was
unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea
which were in Christ:
48-2:2 And I
went up by revelation, and communicated unto
them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which
were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.
48-2:7 But
contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed
unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision
was unto Peter;
48-2:9 And when
James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was
given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the
right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto
the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.
48-2:14 But when
I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I
said unto Peter before them all, If thou,
being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest
thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
48-2:19 For I
through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto
God.
48-3:8 And the
scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith,
preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying,
In thee shall all nations be blessed.
48-3:23 But
before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto
the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
48-3:24 Wherefore
the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto
Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
48-4:8 Howbeit
then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto
them which by nature are no gods.
48-4:13 Ye know
how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first.
48-5:2 Behold,
I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised,
Christ shall profit you nothing.
48-5:4 Christ
is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of
you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
48-5:13 For,
brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only
use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one
another.
48-6:6 Let him
that is taught in the word communicate unto him
that teacheth in all good things.
48-6:10 As we
have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto
all men, especially unto them who are of
the household of faith.
48-6:11 Ye see
how large a letter I have written unto you with
mine own hand.
48-6:14 But God
forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom
the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
49-EPHESIANS
49-1:5 Having
predestinated us unto the adoption of children
by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
49-1:9 Having
made known unto us the mystery of his will,
according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
49-1:14 Which is
the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased
possession, unto the praise of his glory.
49-1:15 Wherefore
I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
49-1:17 That the
God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the
knowledge of him:
49-2:10 For we
are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto
good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
49-2:16 And that
he might reconcile both unto God in one body by
the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
49-2:18 For
through him we both have access by one Spirit unto
the Father.
49-2:21 In whom
all the building fitly framed together groweth unto
an holy temple in the Lord:
49-3:3 How that
by revelation he made known unto me the mystery;
(as I wrote afore in few words,
49-3:5 Which in
other ages was not made known unto the sons of
men, as it is now revealed unto his holy
apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
49-3:7 Whereof
I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
49-3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is
this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable
riches of Christ;
49-3:10 To the
intent that now unto the principalities and
powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold
wisdom of God,
49-3:14 For this
cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ,
49-3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above
all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
49-3:21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus
throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
49-4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the
measure of the gift of Christ.
49-4:8 Wherefore
he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts
unto men.
49-4:13 Till we
all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto
the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
49-4:16 From whom
the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint
supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part,
maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of
itself in love.
49-4:19 Who being
past feeling have given themselves over unto
lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
49-4:29 Let no
corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the
use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto
the hearers.
49-4:30 And
grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
49-5:10 Proving
what is acceptable unto the Lord.
49-5:20 Giving
thanks always for all things unto God and the
Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
49-5:22 Wives,
submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
49-5:24 Therefore
as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the
wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
49-5:31 For this
cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
49-6:5 Servants,
be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with
fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto
Christ;
49-6:9 And, ye
masters, do the same things unto them,
forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is
there respect of persons with him.
49-6:13 Wherefore
take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye
may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
49-6:19 And for
me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I
may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
49-6:22 Whom I
have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye
might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
50-PHILIPPIANS
50-1:2 Grace be
unto you, and peace, from God our Father,
and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
50-1:11 Being
filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
50-1:12 But I
would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;
50-1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only
to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
50-2:8 And
being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
50-2:19 But I trust
in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto
you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
50-2:27 For
indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had
mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow
upon sorrow.
50-2:30 Because
for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death,
not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.
50-3:10 That I
may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his
sufferings, being made conformable unto his
death;
50-3:11 If by any
means I might attain unto the resurrection of
the dead.
50-3:13 Brethren,
I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting
those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto
those things which are before,
50-3:15 Let us
therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be
otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto
you.
50-3:21 Who shall
change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto
his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue
all things unto himself.
50-4:5 Let your
moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is
at hand.
50-4:6 Be
careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known unto God.
50-4:16 For even
in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my
necessity.
50-4:20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and
ever. Amen.
51-COLOSSIANS
51-1:2 To the
saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord
Jesus Christ.
51-1:6 Which is
come unto you, as it is in all the world;
and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard
of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:
51-1:8 Who also
declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
51-1:10 That ye
might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing,
being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
51-1:11 Strengthened
with all might, according to his glorious power, unto
all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
51-1:12 Giving
thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet
to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
51-1:20 And,
having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all
things unto himself; by him, I say, whether
they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
51-2:2 That
their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of
understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father,
and of Christ;
51-3:18 Wives,
submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it
is fit in the Lord.
51-3:20 Children,
obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
51-3:23 And
whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
51-4:1 Masters,
give unto your servants that which is
just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.
51-4:3 Withal
praying also for us, that God would open unto us
a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in
bonds:
51-4:7 All my state
shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a
beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord:
51-4:8 Whom I
have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he
might know your estate, and comfort your hearts;
51-4:9 With
Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall
make known unto you all things which are done
here.
51-4:10 Aristarchus
my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister’s son to Barnabas, (touching
whom ye received commandments: if he come unto
you, receive him;)
51-4:11 And
Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are
my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God,
which have been a comfort unto me.
52-1 THESSALONIANS
52-1:1 Paul,
and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of
the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord
Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and
peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
52-1:5 For our
gospel came not unto you in word only, but also
in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner
of men we were among you for your sake.
52-1:9 For they
themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living
and true God;
52-2:1 For
yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto
you, that it was not in vain:
52-2:2 But even
after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at
Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto
you the gospel of God with much contention.
52-2:8 So being
affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own
souls, because ye were dear unto us.
52-2:9 For ye
remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day,
because we would not be chargeable unto any of
you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
52-2:12 That ye
would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto
his kingdom and glory.
52-2:18 Wherefore
we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once
and again; but Satan hindered us.
52-3:6 But now
when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought
us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of
us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:
52-3:11 Now God
himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.
52-4:7 For God
hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
52-4:8 He
therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
52-4:9 But as
touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto
you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
52-4:15 For this
we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we
which are alive and remain unto the
coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
52-5:1 But of
the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
52-5:15 See that
none render evil for evil unto any man; but
ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
52-5:23 And the
very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit
and soul and body be preserved blameless unto
the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
52-5:27 I charge
you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto
all the holy brethren.
53-2 THESSALONIANS
53-1:1 Paul,
and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of
the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
53-1:2 Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord
Jesus Christ.
53-2:1 Now we
beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our
gathering together unto him,
53-3:9 Not
because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
54-1 TIMOTHY
54-1:2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace,
mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
54-1:6 From
which some having swerved have turned aside unto
vain jangling;
54-1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only
wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
54-1:18 This
charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy,
according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them
mightest war a good warfare;
54-1:20 Of whom
is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto
Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
54-2:4 Who will
have all men to be saved, and to come unto the
knowledge of the truth.
54-3:14 These
things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:
54-3:16 And
without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the
flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received
up into glory.
54-4:7 But
refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
54-4:8 For
bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now
is, and of that which is to come.
54-4:16 Take heed
unto thyself, and unto
the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself,
and them that hear thee.
54-6:16 Who only
hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be
honour and power everlasting. Amen.
