01-GENESIS
01-14:2 That
these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and
with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim,
and the king of Bela, which is Zoar.
02-EXODUS
02-1:10 Come on,
let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that,
when there falleth out any war, they join also
unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the
land.
02-13:17 And it
came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through
the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for
God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:
02-15:3 The LORD is
a man of war: the LORD is his name.
02-17:16 For he
said, Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.
02-32:17 And when Joshua
heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses, There is a
noise of war in the camp.
04-1:3 From
twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by
their armies.
04-1:20 And the
children of Reuben, Israel’s eldest son, by their generations, after their
families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names,
by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able
to go forth to war;
04-1:22 Of the
children of Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the house of
their fathers, those that were numbered of them, according to the number of the
names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that
were able to go forth to war;
04-1:24 Of the
children of Gad, by their generations, after their families, by the house of
their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and
upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:26 Of the
children of Judah, by their generations, after their families, by the house of
their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and
upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:28 Of the
children of Issachar, by their generations, after their families, by the house
of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old
and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:30 Of the
children of Zebulun, by their generations, after their families, by the house
of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old
and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:32 Of the
children of Joseph, namely, of the children of Ephraim, by their
generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to
the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able
to go forth to war;
04-1:34 Of the children
of Manasseh, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their
fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and
upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:36 Of the
children of Benjamin, by their generations, after their families, by the house
of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old
and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:38 Of the
children of Dan, by their generations, after their families, by the house of
their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and
upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:40 Of the
children of Asher, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their
fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and
upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:42 Of the
children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their families, by
the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty
years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
04-1:45 So were
all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers,
from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;
04-10:9 And if ye
go to war in your land against the enemy that
oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be
remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
04-26:2 Take the
sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old
and upward, throughout their fathers’ house, all that are able to go to war in Israel.
04-31:3 And Moses
spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and
avenge the LORD of Midian.
04-31:4 Of every
tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war.
04-31:5 So there
were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe,
twelve thousand armed for war.
04-31:6 And Moses
sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe,
them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his
hand.
04-31:21 And
Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war
which went to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the
LORD commanded Moses;
04-31:27 And divide
the prey into two parts; between them that took the war
upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the congregation:
04-31:28 And levy a
tribute unto the LORD of the men of war which
went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and
of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep:
04-31:32 And the
booty, being the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught, was six hundred thousand and seventy
thousand and five thousand sheep.
04-31:36 And the
half, which was the portion of them that went out to war, was in number three hundred thousand and seven
and thirty thousand and five hundred sheep:
04-31:49 And they
said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and there
lacketh not one man of us.
04-31:53 (For the
men of war had taken spoil, every man for
himself.)
04-32:6 And Moses
said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your
brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?
04-32:20 And Moses
said unto them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will go armed before the LORD
to war,
04-32:27 But thy
servants will pass over, every man armed for war,
before the LORD to battle, as my lord saith.
05-1:41 Then ye
answered and said unto me, We have sinned against the LORD, we will go up and
fight, according to all that the LORD our God commanded us. And when ye had
girded on every man his weapons of war, ye were
ready to go up into the hill.
05-2:14 And the
space in which we came from Kadeshbarnea, until we were come over the brook
Zered, was thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men
of war were wasted out from among the host, as
the LORD sware unto them.
05-2:16 So it
came to pass, when all the men of war were
consumed and dead from among the people,
05-3:18 And I
commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this land
to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of
Israel, all that are meet for the war.
05-4:34 Or hath
God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation,
by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war,
and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors,
according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
05-20:12 And if it
will make no peace with thee, but will make war
against thee, then thou shalt besiege it:
05-20:19 When thou
shalt besiege a city a long time, in making war
against it to take it, thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an
ax against them: for thou mayest eat of them, and thou shalt not cut them down
(for the tree of the field is man’s life) to employ them in
the siege:
05-20:20 Only the
trees which thou knowest that they be not trees for meat, thou shalt
destroy and cut them down; and thou shalt build bulwarks against the city that
maketh war with thee, until it be subdued.
05-21:10 When thou
goest forth to war against thine enemies, and
the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them
captive,
05-24:5 When a
man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war,
neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at
home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
06-4:13 About
forty thousand prepared for war passed over
before the LORD unto battle, to the plains of Jericho.
06-5:4 And this
is the cause why Joshua did circumcise: All the people that came out of
Egypt, that were males, even all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the way, after they came
out of Egypt.
06-5:6 For the
children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that
were men of war, which came out of Egypt,
were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the
LORD sware that he would not shew them the land, which the LORD sware unto
their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
06-6:3 And ye
shall compass the city, all ye men of war,
and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days.
06-8:1 And the
LORD said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people
of war with thee, and arise, go up to Ai: see, I
have given into thy hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his
land:
06-8:3 So
Joshua arose, and all the people of war, to go
up against Ai: and Joshua chose out thirty thousand mighty men of valour, and
sent them away by night.
06-8:11 And all
the people, even the people of war that were
with him, went up, and drew nigh, and came before the city, and pitched on
the north side of Ai: now there was a valley between them and Ai.
06-10:5 Therefore
the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the
king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves
together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before Gibeon,
and made war against it.
06-10:7 So Joshua
ascended from Gilgal, he, and all the people of war
with him, and all the mighty men of valour.
06-10:24 And it
came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called
for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon
the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks
of them.
06-11:7 So Joshua
came, and all the people of war with him,
against them by the waters of Merom suddenly; and they fell upon them.
06-11:18 Joshua
made war a long time with all those kings.
06-11:23 So Joshua took
the whole land, according to all that the LORD said unto Moses; and Joshua gave
it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes.
And the land rested from war.
06-14:11 As yet I am
as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my
strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.
06-14:15 And the
name of Hebron before was Kirjatharba; which Arba was a great man
among the Anakims. And the land had rest from war.
06-17:1 There was
also a lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was the firstborn of
Joseph; to wit, for Machir the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of
Gilead: because he was a man of war, therefore
he had Gilead and Bashan.
06-22:12 And when
the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the
children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up to war against them.
07-3:2 Only
that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof;
07-3:10 And the
spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD delivered Chushanrishathaim king of
Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushanrishathaim.
07-5:8 They
chose new gods; then was war in the
gates: was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel?
07-11:4 And it
came to pass in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel.
07-11:5 And it
was so, that when the children of Ammon made war
against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of
Tob:
07-11:27 Wherefore
I have not sinned against thee, but thou doest me wrong to war against me: the LORD the Judge be judge this day
between the children of Israel and the children of Ammon.
07-18:11 And there
went from thence of the family of the Danites, out of Zorah and out of Eshtaol,
six hundred men appointed with weapons of war.
07-18:16 And the
six hundred men appointed with their weapons of war,
which were of the children of Dan, stood by the entering of the gate.
07-18:17 And the
five men that went to spy out the land went up, and came in thither, and
took the graven image, and the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image:
and the priest stood in the entering of the gate with the six hundred men that
were appointed with weapons of war.
07-20:17 And the
men of Israel, beside Benjamin, were numbered four hundred thousand men that
drew sword: all these were men of war.
07-21:22 And it
shall be, when their fathers or their brethren come unto us to complain, that
we will say unto them, Be favourable unto them for our sakes: because we
reserved not to each man his wife in the war:
for ye did not give unto them at this time, that ye should be guilty.
09-8:12 And he
will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will
set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his
instruments of war, and instruments of his
chariots.
09-14:52 And there
was sore war against the Philistines all the
days of Saul: and when Saul saw any strong man, or any valiant man, he took him
unto him.
09-16:18 Then
answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the
Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and
a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a
comely person, and the LORD is with him.
09-17:33 And Saul
said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with
him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war
from his youth.
09-18:5 And David
went out whithersoever Saul sent him, and behaved himself wisely: and
Saul set him over the men of war, and he was
accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul’s
servants.
09-19:8 And there
was war again: and David went out, and fought
with the Philistines, and slew them with a great slaughter; and they fled from
him.
09-23:8 And Saul
called all the people together to war, to go
down to Keilah, to besiege David and his men.
09-28:15 And Samuel
said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I
am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war
against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by
prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make
known unto me what I shall do.
10-1:27 How are
the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war
perished!
10-3:1 Now
there was long war between the house of Saul and
the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of
Saul waxed weaker and weaker.
10-3:6 And it
came to pass, while there was war between the
house of Saul and the house of David, that Abner made himself strong for the house
of Saul.
10-11:7 And when
Uriah was come unto him, David demanded of him how Joab did, and how the
people did, and how the war prospered.
10-11:18 Then Joab
sent and told David all the things concerning the war;
10-11:19 And
charged the messenger, saying, When thou hast made an end of telling the
matters of the war unto the king,
10-17:8 For, said
Hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they be mighty men,
and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the
field: and thy father is a man of war,
and will not lodge with the people.
10-21:15 Moreover
the Philistines had yet war again with Israel;
and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the
Philistines: and David waxed faint.
10-22:35 He teacheth
my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is
broken by mine arms.
11-2:5 Moreover
thou knowest also what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, and what he
did to the two captains of the hosts of Israel, unto Abner the son of Ner, and unto
Amasa the son of Jether, whom he slew, and shed the blood of war in peace, and put the blood of war upon his girdle that was about his loins,
and in his shoes that were on his feet.
11-9:22 But of
the children of Israel did Solomon make no bondmen: but they were men of
war, and his servants, and his princes, and his
captains, and rulers of his chariots, and his horsemen.
11-14:30 And there
was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all their
days.
11-15:6 And there
was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the
days of his life.
11-15:7 Now the
rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written in
the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.
11-15:16 And there
was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel
all their days.
11-15:32 And there
was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel
all their days.
11-20:18 And he
said, Whether they be come out for peace, take them alive; or whether they be
come out for war, take them alive.
11-22:1 And they
continued three years without war between Syria
and Israel.
12-8:28 And he
went with Joram the son of Ahab to the war
against Hazael king of Syria in Ramothgilead; and the Syrians wounded Joram.
12-13:25 And
Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took again out of the hand of Benhadad the son of
Hazael the cities, which he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father by
war. Three times did Joash beat him, and
recovered the cities of Israel.
12-14:7 He slew
of Edom in the valley of salt ten thousand, and took Selah by war, and called the name of it Joktheel unto this day.
12-16:5 Then
Rezin king of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel came up to
Jerusalem to war: and they besieged Ahaz, but
could not overcome him.
12-18:20 Thou
sayest, (but they are but vain words), I have counsel and
strength for the war. Now on whom dost thou
trust, that thou rebellest against me?
12-24:16 And all
the men of might, even seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a
thousand, all that were strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to
Babylon.
12-25:4 And the
city was broken up, and all the men of war fled
by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which is by the
king’s garden: (now the Chaldees were against the city round about:) and
the king went the way toward the plain.
12-25:19 And out of
the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king’s
presence, which were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host,
which mustered the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the
land that were found in the city:
13-5:10 And in
the days of Saul they made war with the
Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all
the east land of Gilead.
13-5:18 The sons
of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men
able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred
and threescore, that went out to the war.
13-5:19 And they
made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and
Nephish, and Nodab.
13-5:22 For there
fell down many slain, because the war was of
God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.
13-7:4 And with
them, by their generations, after the house of their fathers, were bands
of soldiers for war, six and thirty thousand men:
for they had many wives and sons.
13-7:11 All these
the sons of Jediael, by the heads of their fathers, mighty men of valour, were
seventeen thousand and two hundred soldiers, fit to go out for war and battle.
13-7:40 All these
were the children of Asher, heads of their father’s house, choice
and mighty men of valour, chief of the princes. And the number
throughout the genealogy of them that were apt to the war
and to battle was twenty and six thousand men.
13-12:1 Now these
are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close
because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men,
helpers of the war.
13-12:8 And of
the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the
wilderness men of might, and men of war fit
for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces were
like the faces of lions, and were as swift as the roes upon the
mountains;
13-12:23 And these are
the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the
kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.
13-12:24 The
children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight
hundred, ready armed to the war.
13-12:25 Of the
children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for the war,
seven thousand and one hundred.
13-12:33 Of
Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war,
with all instruments of war, fifty thousand,
which could keep rank: they were not of double heart.
13-12:35 And of the
Danites expert in war twenty and eight thousand
and six hundred.
13-12:36 And of
Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war,
forty thousand.
13-12:37 And on the
other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe
of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war
for the battle, an hundred and twenty thousand.
13-12:38 All these
men of war, that could keep rank, came with a
perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest
also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
13-18:10 He sent Hadoram
his son to king David, to enquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him,
because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war with Tou;) and with him all manner of
vessels of gold and silver and brass.
13-20:4 And it came
to pass after this, that there arose war at
Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai,
that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued.
13-20:5 And there
was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan
the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear
staff was like a weaver’s beam.
13-20:6 And yet
again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great
stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each
hand, and six on each foot: and he also was the son of the giant.
13-28:3 But God
said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou hast
been a man of war, and hast shed blood.
14-6:34 If thy
people go out to war against their enemies by
the way that thou shalt send them, and they pray unto thee toward this city
which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name;
14-8:9 But of
the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were
men of war, and chief of his captains, and
captains of his chariots and horsemen.
14-13:2 He
reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Michaiah
the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. And there was war
between Abijah and Jeroboam.
14-13:3 And Abijah
set the battle in array with an army of valiant men of war,
even four hundred thousand chosen men: Jeroboam also set the battle in
array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, being mighty
men of valour.
14-14:6 And he
built fenced cities in Judah: for the land had rest, and he had no war in those years; because the LORD had given him
rest.
14-15:19 And there
was no more war unto the five and
thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.
14-17:10 And the
fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round
about Judah, so that they made no war against
Jehoshaphat.
14-17:13 And he had
much business in the cities of Judah: and the men of war,
mighty men of valour, were in Jerusalem.
14-17:18 And next
him was Jehozabad, and with him an hundred and fourscore thousand ready
prepared for the war.
14-18:3 And Ahab
king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to
Ramothgilead? And he answered him, I am as thou art, and my
people as thy people; and we will be with thee in the war.
14-22:5 He walked
also after their counsel, and went with Jehoram the son of Ahab king of Israel
to war against Hazael king of Syria at
Ramothgilead: and the Syrians smote Joram.
14-25:5 Moreover Amaziah
gathered Judah together, and made them captains over thousands, and captains
over hundreds, according to the houses of their fathers, throughout all
Judah and Benjamin: and he numbered them from twenty years old and above, and
found them three hundred thousand choice men, able to go forth to war, that could handle spear and shield.
14-26:11 Moreover
Uzziah had an host of fighting men, that went out to war
by bands, according to the number of their account by the hand of Jeiel the
scribe and Maaseiah the ruler, under the hand of Hananiah, one of the
king’s captains.
14-26:13 And under
their hand was an army, three hundred thousand and seven thousand and
five hundred, that made war with mighty power,
to help the king against the enemy.
14-28:12 Then
certain of the heads of the children of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan,
Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa
the son of Hadlai, stood up against them that came from the war,
14-32:6 And he
set captains of war over the people, and
gathered them together to him in the street of the gate of the city, and spake
comfortably to them, saying,
14-33:14 Now after
this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in
the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about
Ophel, and raised it up a very great height, and put captains of war in all the fenced cities of Judah.
14-35:21 But he
sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of
Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith
I have war: for God commanded me to make haste:
forbear thee from meddling with God, who is with me, that he
destroy thee not.
18-5:20 In famine
he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from
the power of the sword.
18-10:17 Thou
renewest thy witnesses against me, and increasest thine indignation upon me;
changes and war are against me.
18-38:23 Which I
have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
19-18:34 He
teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel
is broken by mine arms.
19-27:3 Though an
host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be
confident.
19-55:21 The
words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war
was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they
drawn swords.
19-68:30 Rebuke the
company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people,
till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the
people that delight in war.
19-120:7 I am
for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
19-140:2 Which
imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together
for war.
19-144:1 Blessed be
the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war,
and my fingers to fight:
20-20:18 Every purpose
is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.
20-24:6 For by
wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in
multitude of counsellors there is safety.
21-3:8 A time
to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and
a time of peace.
21-8:8 There
is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath
he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are
given to it.
21-9:18 Wisdom is
better than weapons of war: but one sinner
destroyeth much good.
22-3:8 They all
hold swords, being expert in war: every
man hath his sword upon his thigh because of fear in the night.
23-2:4 And he
shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall
beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation
shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
23-3:2 The
mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and
the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,
23-3:25 Thy men
shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.
23-7:1 And it
came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of
Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king
of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war
against it, but could not prevail against it.
23-21:15 For they
fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the
grievousness of war.
23-36:5 I say, sayest
thou, (but they are but vain words) I have counsel and
strength for war: now on whom dost thou trust,
that thou rebellest against me?
23-37:9 And he
heard say concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, He is come forth to make war with thee. And when he heard it, he sent
messengers to Hezekiah, saying,
23-41:12 Thou shalt
seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee:
they that war against thee shall be as nothing,
and as a thing of nought.
23-42:13 The LORD
shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against
his enemies.
24-4:19 My
bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me;
I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the
trumpet, the alarm of war.
24-6:4 Prepare
ye war against her; arise, and let us go up at
noon. Woe unto us! for the day goeth away, for the shadows of the evening are
stretched out.
24-6:23 They
shall lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy;
their voice roareth like the sea; and they ride upon horses, set in array as
men for war against thee, O daughter of Zion.
24-21:2 Enquire,
I pray thee, of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that the LORD will deal with us
according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us.
24-21:4 Thus
saith the LORD God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight
against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans, which besiege
you without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city.
24-28:8 The
prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied both
against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war,
and of evil, and of pestilence.
24-38:4 Therefore
the princes said unto the king, We beseech thee, let this man be put to death:
for thus he weakeneth the hands of the men of war
that remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, in speaking such
words unto them: for this man seeketh not the welfare of this people, but the
hurt.
24-39:4 And it
came to pass, that when Zedekiah the king of Judah saw them, and all the
men of war, then they fled, and went forth out
of the city by night, by the way of the king’s garden, by the gate betwixt the
two walls: and he went out the way of the plain.
24-41:3 Ishmael
also slew all the Jews that were with him, even with Gedaliah, at
Mizpah, and the Chaldeans that were found there, and the men of war.
24-41:16 Then took Johanan
the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with
him, all the remnant of the people whom he had recovered from Ishmael the son
of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after that he had slain Gedaliah the son of
Ahikam, even mighty men of war, and the
women, and the children, and the eunuchs, whom he had brought again from
Gibeon:
24-42:14 Saying,
No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have
hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:
24-48:14 How say
ye, We are mighty and strong men for the war?
24-49:2 Therefore,
behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it
shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then
shall Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD.
24-49:26 Therefore
her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD of
hosts.
24-50:30 Therefore
shall her young men fall in the streets, and all her men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD.
24-51:20 Thou art
my battle ax and weapons of war: for
with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy
kingdoms;
24-51:32 And that
the passages are stopped, and the reeds they have burned with fire, and the men
of war are affrighted.
24-52:7 Then the
city was broken up, and all the men of war fled,
and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two
walls, which was by the king’s garden; (now the Chaldeans were by
the city round about:) and they went by the way of the plain.
24-52:25 He took
also out of the city an eunuch, which had the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king’s
person, which were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who
mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land,
that were found in the midst of the city.
26-17:17 Neither
shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company make for him in the
war, by casting up mounts, and building forts,
to cut off many persons:
26-26:9 And he
shall set engines of war against thy walls, and
with his axes he shall break down thy towers.
26-27:10 They of
Persia and of Lud and of Phut were in thine army, thy men of war: they hanged the shield and helmet in thee; they
set forth thy comeliness.
26-27:27 Thy
riches, and thy fairs, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy
calkers, and the occupiers of thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, and in all thy company
which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the midst of the seas in
the day of thy ruin.
26-32:27 And they
shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised,
which are gone down to hell with their weapons of war:
and they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall
be upon their bones, though they were the terror of the mighty in the
land of the living.
26-39:20 Thus ye
shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with
all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.
27-7:21 I beheld,
and the same horn made war with the saints, and
prevailed against them;
27-9:26 And after
threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the
people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary;
and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
29-2:7 They
shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and
they shall not break their ranks:
29-3:9 Proclaim
ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up
the mighty men, let all the men of war draw
near; let them come up:
33-2:8 Even of
late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from
them that pass by securely as men averse from war.
33-3:5 Thus
saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with
their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they
even prepare war against him.
33-4:3 And he
shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they
shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks:
nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
42-14:31 Or what
king, going to make war against another king,
sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to
meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
42-23:11 And Herod
with his men of war set him at nought, and
mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to
Pilate.
47-10:3 For
though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after
the flesh:
54-1:18 This charge
I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before
on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good
warfare;
59-4:1 From
whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even
of your lusts that war in your members?
59-4:2 Ye lust,
and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
60-2:11 Dearly
beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly
lusts, which war against the soul;
66-11:7 And when they shall
have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless
pit shall make war against them, and shall
overcome them, and kill them.
66-12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against
the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
66-12:17 And the
dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war
with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the
testimony of Jesus Christ.
66-13:4 And they worshipped
the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast,
saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
66-13:7 And it was given unto
him to make war with the saints, and to overcome
them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
66-17:14 These
shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall
overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are
with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
66-19:11 And I saw
heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called
Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
66-19:19 And I saw
the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to
make war against him that sat on the horse, and
against his army.
