01-1:2 And the
earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the
deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
01-1:6 And God
said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters,
and let it divide the waters from the waters.
01-1:7 And God
made the firmament, and divided the waters which
were under the firmament from the waters
which were above the firmament: and it was so.
01-1:9 And God
said, Let the waters under the heaven be
gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it
was so.
01-1:10 And God
called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
01-1:20 And God
said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the
moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in
the open firmament of heaven.
01-1:21 And God
created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and
every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
01-1:22 And God
blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the
earth.
01-6:17 And,
behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters
upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life,
from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall
die.
01-7:6 And Noah
was six hundred years old when the flood of waters
was upon the earth.
01-7:7 And Noah
went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the
ark, because of the waters of the flood.
01-7:10 And it
came to pass after seven days, that the waters
of the flood were upon the earth.
01-7:17 And the
flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters
increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
01-7:18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the
earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
01-7:19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all
the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
01-7:20 Fifteen
cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the
mountains were covered.
01-7:24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty
days.
01-8:1 And God
remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with
him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;
01-8:3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and
after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters
were abated.
01-8:5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in
the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of
the mountains seen.
01-8:7 And he sent
forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters
were dried up from off the earth.
01-8:8 Also he
sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters
were abated from off the face of the ground;
01-8:9 But the
dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the
ark, for the waters were on the face of
the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in
unto him into the ark.
01-8:11 And the
dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive
leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters
were abated from off the earth.
01-8:13 And it
came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the
first day of the month, the waters were
dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and
looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.
01-9:11 And I
will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any
more by the waters of a flood; neither shall
there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
01-9:15 And I
will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living
creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no
more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
02-7:17 Thus saith the LORD,
In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD: behold, I will smite with
the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters
which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
02-7:19 And the LORD spake
unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers,
and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water,
that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all
the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
02-7:20 And Moses and Aaron
did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of
Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters
that were in the river were turned to blood.
02-8:6 And Aaron stretched out his hand
over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up,
and covered the land of Egypt.
02-14:21 And Moses
stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by
a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
02-14:22 And the
children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and
the waters were a wall unto them on their
right hand, and on their left.
02-14:26 And the
LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their
chariots, and upon their horsemen.
02-14:28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the
horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them;
there remained not so much as one of them.
02-14:29 But the
children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the
waters were a wall unto them on their
right hand, and on their left.
02-15:8 And with the blast of
thy nostrils the waters were gathered together,
the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in
the heart of the sea.
02-15:10 Thou didst
blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.
02-15:19 For the
horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea,
and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea
upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of
the sea.
02-15:23 And when
they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters
of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called
Marah.
02-15:25 And he
cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had
cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute
and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
02-15:27 And they
came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water,
and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.
03-11:9 These
shall ye eat of all that are in the waters:
whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters,
in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
03-11:10 And all
that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move
in the waters, and of any living thing which is
in the waters, they shall be an
abomination unto you:
03-11:12 Whatsoever
hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall
be an abomination unto you.
03-11:46 This is
the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that
moveth in the waters, and of every creature that
creepeth upon the earth:
04-21:22 Let me
pass through thy land: we will not turn into the fields, or into the vineyards;
we will not drink of the waters of the
well: but we will go along by the king’s high way, until we be
past thy borders.
04-24:6 As the
valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river’s side, as the trees of
lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.
04-24:7 He shall
pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed
shall be in many waters, and his king
shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.
05-4:18 The
likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish
that is in the waters beneath the earth:
05-5:8 Thou
shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any
thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth
beneath, or that is in the waters beneath
the earth:
05-10:7 From
thence they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbath, a land of
rivers of waters.
05-14:9 These ye
shall eat of all that are in the waters:
all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
05-32:51 Because ye
trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin;
because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.
05-33:8 And of
Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one,
whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;
06-3:13 And it
shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear
the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand
upon an heap.
06-3:16 That the waters which came down from above stood and rose
up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and
those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea,
failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against
Jericho.
06-4:7 Then ye
shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan
were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over
Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these
stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.
06-4:18 And it
came to pass, when the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD
were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and the soles of the priests’
feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the waters
of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as they
did before.
06-4:23 For the
LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from
before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea,
which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over:
06-5:1 And it
came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, which were on the side
of Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, which were by
the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters
of Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we were passed over, that
their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the
children of Israel.
06-11:5 And when
all these kings were met together, they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
06-11:7 So Joshua
came, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom suddenly; and they fell upon them.
06-15:7 And the
border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking
toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on
the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of Enshemesh, and the goings out thereof were
at Enrogel:
06-18:15 And the
south quarter was from the end of Kirjathjearim, and the border went out
on the west, and went out to the well of waters
of Nephtoah:
07-5:19 The kings came and fought, then fought the kings
of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo;
they took no gain of money.
07-7:24 And Gideon sent messengers throughout all mount Ephraim,
saying, Come down against the Midianites, and take before them the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan. Then all the men of
Ephraim gathered themselves together, and took the waters
unto Bethbarah and Jordan.
10-5:20 And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them
there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the
breach of waters. Therefore he called the name
of that place Baalperazim.
10-12:27 And Joab sent messengers to David, and said, I have fought
against Rabbah, and have taken the city of waters.
10-22:12 And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies.
10-22:17 He sent from above, he took me; he drew me out of many waters;
12-2:8 And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together,
and smote the waters, and they were divided
hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
12-2:14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and
smote the waters, and said, Where is the
LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters,
they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
12-2:21 And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus
saith the LORD, I have healed these waters;
there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.
12-2:22 So the waters were healed
unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.
12-5:12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus,
better than all the waters of Israel? may I not
wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
12-18:31 Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of
Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me, and
then eat ye every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree,
and drink ye every one the waters of his
cistern:
12-19:24 I have digged and drunk strange waters,
and with the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers of besieged places.
13-14:11 So they came up to Baalperazim; and David smote them there.
Then David said, God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the
breaking forth of waters: therefore they called
the name of that place Baalperazim.
14-32:3 He took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to
stop the waters of the fountains which were without
the city: and they did help him.
16-9:11 And thou didst divide the sea before them, so that they
went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors thou
threwest into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters.
18-3:24 For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings are
poured out like the waters.
18-5:10 Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields:
18-11:16 Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember
it as waters that pass away:
18-12:15 Behold, he withholdeth the waters,
and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
18-14:11 As the waters fail
from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up:
18-14:19 The waters wear the stones:
thou washest away the things which grow out of the dust of the earth;
and thou destroyest the hope of man.
18-22:11 Or darkness, that thou canst not see; and abundance
of waters cover thee.
18-24:18 He is swift as the waters;
their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the
vineyards.
18-24:19 Drought and heat consume the snow waters:
so doth the grave those which have sinned.
18-26:5 Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.
18-26:8 He bindeth up the waters
in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.
18-26:10 He hath compassed the waters
with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
18-27:20 Terrors take hold on him as waters,
a tempest stealeth him away in the night.
18-28:4 The flood breaketh out from the inhabitant; even the waters forgotten of the foot: they are dried up,
they are gone away from men.
18-28:25 To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure.
18-29:19 My root was spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch.
18-30:14 They came upon me as a wide breaking in of waters: in the desolation they rolled themselves upon
me.
18-37:10 By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of
the waters is straitened.
18-38:25 Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
18-38:30 The waters are hid as with
a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
18-38:34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance
of waters may cover thee?
19-18:11 He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round
about him were dark waters and thick
clouds of the skies.
19-18:15 Then the channels of waters
were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD,
at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
19-18:16 He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.
19-23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me
beside the still waters.
19-29:3 The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon
many waters.
19-32:6 For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in
a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.
19-33:7 He gathereth the waters of
the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
19-46:3 Though the waters
thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the
swelling thereof. Selah.
19-58:7 Let them melt away as waters
which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his
arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.
19-69:1 Save me, O God; for the waters
are come in unto my soul.
19-69:2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I
am come into deep waters, where the floods
overflow me.
19-69:14 Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be
delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.
19-73:10 Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
19-74:13 Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest
the heads of the dragons in the waters.
19-77:16 The waters saw thee, O God,
the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the
depths also were troubled.
19-77:19 Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.
19-78:13 He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and
he made the waters to stand as an heap.
19-78:16 He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.
19-78:20 Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he
give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people?
19-81:7 Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I
answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.
19-93:4 The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of
many waters, yea, than the mighty waves
of the sea.
19-104:3 Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh
upon the wings of the wind:
19-104:6 Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment:
the waters stood above the mountains.
19-105:29 He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
19-105:41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a
river.
19-106:11 And the waters
covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.
19-106:32 They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their
sakes:
19-107:23 They that go down to the sea in ships,
that do business in great waters;
19-114:8 Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
19-119:136 Rivers of waters
run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.
19-124:4 Then the waters had
overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
19-124:5 Then the proud waters had
gone over our soul.
19-136:6 To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever.
19-144:7 Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of
great waters, from the hand of strange children;
19-147:18 He sendeth out his word, and melteth
them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters
flow.
19-148:4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.
20-5:15 Drink waters out of thine
own cistern, and running waters out of thine own
well.
20-5:16 Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers
of waters in the streets.
20-8:29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he
appointed the foundations of the earth:
20-9:17 Stolen waters are sweet,
and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
20-18:4 The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a
flowing brook.
20-25:25 As cold waters to a
thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.
20-30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath
gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters
in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his
name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
21-11:1 Cast thy bread upon the waters:
for thou shalt find it after many days.
22-4:15 A fountain of gardens, a well of
living waters, and streams from Lebanon.
22-5:12 His eyes are as the eyes of
doves by the rivers of waters, washed with milk,
and fitly set.
22-8:7 Many waters
cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give
all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.
23-8:6 Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin
and Remaliah’s son;
23-8:7 Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them
the waters of the river, strong and many, even
the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his
channels, and go over all his banks:
23-11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain:
for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
23-15:6 For the waters of Nimrim
shall be desolate: for the hay is withered away, the grass faileth, there is no
green thing.
23-15:9 For the waters of Dimon
shall be full of blood: for I will bring more upon Dimon, lions upon him that
escapeth of Moab, and upon the remnant of the land.
23-17:12 Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise
like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a
rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!
23-17:13 The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they
shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before
the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.
23-18:2 That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of
bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye
swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from
their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the
rivers have spoiled!
23-19:5 And the waters shall fail
from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.
23-19:8 The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast
angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.
23-22:9 Ye have seen also the breaches of the city of David, that
they are many: and ye gathered together the waters
of the lower pool.
23-23:3 And by great waters the
seed of Sihor, the harvest of the river, is her revenue; and she is a
mart of nations.
23-28:2 Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as
a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with
the hand.
23-28:17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to
the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
23-30:25 And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon
every high hill, rivers and streams of waters
in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.
23-32:20 Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth thither the feet of the
ox and the ass.
23-33:16 He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the
munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters
shall be sure.
23-35:6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the
tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters
break out, and streams in the desert.
23-36:16 Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of
Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to
me: and eat ye every one of his vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink
ye every one the waters of his own cistern;
23-40:12 Who hath measured the waters
in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended
the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and
the hills in a balance?
23-43:2 When thou passest through the waters,
I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee:
when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the
flame kindle upon thee.
23-43:16 Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a
path in the mighty waters;
23-43:20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and
the owls: because I give waters in the
wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my
chosen.
23-48:1 Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the
name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters
of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of
Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.
23-48:21 And they thirsted not when he led them through the
deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the
rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters
gushed out.
23-51:10 Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of
the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?
23-54:9 For this is as the waters
of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters
of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be
wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
23-55:1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and
eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
23-57:20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it
cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
23-58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy
soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters
fail not.
23-64:2 As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth
the waters to boil, to make thy name known to
thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!
24-2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have
forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and
hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
24-2:18 And now what hast thou to do in the way of Egypt, to
drink the waters of Sihor? or what hast thou to
do in the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of
the river?
24-6:7 As a fountain casteth out her waters,
so she casteth out her wickedness: violence and spoil is heard in her; before
me continually is grief and wounds.
24-9:1 Oh that my head were waters,
and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the
slain of the daughter of my people!
24-9:18 And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us,
that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.
24-10:13 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of
waters in the heavens, and he causeth the
vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain,
and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.
24-14:3 And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters: they came to the pits, and found no water; they returned with their vessels empty; they
were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads.
24-15:18 Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which
refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as
waters that fail?
24-17:8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the
river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and
shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding
fruit.
24-17:13 O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be
ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth,
because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.
24-18:14 Will a man leave the snow of Lebanon which
cometh from the rock of the field? or shall the cold flowing waters that come from another place be forsaken?
24-31:9 They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will
I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am
a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.
24-41:12 Then they took all the men, and went to fight with Ishmael
the son of Nethaniah, and found him by the great waters
that are in Gibeon.
24-46:7 Who is this that cometh up as a flood,
whose waters are moved as the rivers?
24-46:8 Egypt riseth up like a flood, and his waters are moved like the rivers; and he saith, I will
go up, and will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the
inhabitants thereof.
24-47:2 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, waters
rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow
the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then
the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.
24-48:34 From the cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, and
even unto Jahaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto
Horonaim, as an heifer of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.
24-50:38 A drought is upon her waters;
and they shall be dried up: for it is the land of graven images, and
they are mad upon their idols.
24-51:13 O thou that dwellest upon many waters,
abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy
covetousness.
24-51:16 When he uttereth his voice, there is a
multitude of waters in the heavens; and he
causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings
with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.
24-51:55 Because the LORD hath spoiled Babylon, and destroyed out
of her the great voice; when her waves do roar like great waters, a noise of their voice is uttered:
25-3:54 Waters flowed over mine
head; then I said, I am cut off.
26-1:24 And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings,
like the noise of great waters, as the voice of
the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood,
they let down their wings.
26-17:5 He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a
fruitful field; he placed it by great waters,
and set it as a willow tree.
26-17:8 It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that
it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine.
26-19:10 Thy mother is like a vine in thy blood, planted by
the waters: she was fruitful and full of
branches by reason of many waters.
26-26:19 For thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee a
desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up
the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover
thee;
26-27:26 Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters: the east wind hath broken thee in the midst of
the seas.
26-27:34 In the time when thou shalt be broken by the seas
in the depths of the waters thy merchandise and
all thy company in the midst of thee shall fall.
26-31:4 The waters made him great,
the deep set him up on high with her rivers running round about his plants, and
sent out her little rivers unto all the trees of the field.
26-31:5 Therefore his height was exalted above all the trees of
the field, and his boughs were multiplied, and his branches became long because
of the multitude of waters, when he shot forth.
26-31:7 Thus was he fair in his greatness, in the length of his
branches: for his root was by great waters.
26-31:14 To the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves for their height, neither
shoot up their top among the thick boughs, neither their trees stand up in
their height, all that drink water: for they
are all delivered unto death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of
the children of men, with them that go down to the pit.
26-31:15 Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when he went down to
the grave I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained the
floods thereof, and the great waters were
stayed: and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field
fainted for him.
26-32:2 Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of
Egypt, and say unto him, Thou art like a young lion of the nations, and thou art
as a whale in the seas: and thou camest forth with thy rivers, and
troubledst the waters with thy feet, and
fouledst their rivers.
26-32:13 I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside the
great waters; neither shall the foot of man
trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them.
26-32:14 Then will I make their waters
deep, and cause their rivers to run like oil, saith the Lord GOD.
26-34:18 Seemeth it a small thing unto you to have eaten up
the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your
pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters,
but ye must foul the residue with your feet?
26-43:2 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the
way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.
26-47:1 Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house;
and, behold, waters issued out from under the
threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward
the east, and the waters came down from
under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.
26-47:2 Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward,
and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh
eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on
the right side.
26-47:3 And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth
eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were
to the ancles.
26-47:4 Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were
to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.
26-47:5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a
river that I could not pass over: for the waters
were risen, waters to swim in, a river that
could not be passed over.
26-47:8 Then said he unto me, These waters
issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the
sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.
26-47:9 And it shall come to pass, that every thing that
liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and
there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed;
and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.
26-47:12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and
on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither
shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to
his months, because their waters they issued out
of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof
for medicine.
26-47:19 And the south side southward, from Tamar even to
the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river
to the great sea. And this is the south side southward.
26-48:28 And by the border of Gad, at the south side southward, the
border shall be even from Tamar unto the waters
of strife in Kadesh, and to the river toward the great sea.
27-12:6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was
upon the waters of the river, How long shall
it be to the end of these wonders?
27-12:7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon
the waters of the river, when he held up his
right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever
that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have
accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall
be finished.
29-1:20 The beasts of the field cry also unto thee: for the
rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire hath
devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
29-3:18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the
mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all
the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and
a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.
30-5:8 Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion,
and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with
night: that calleth for the waters of the sea,
and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:
30-5:24 But let judgment run down as waters,
and righteousness as a mighty stream.
30-9:6 It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven,
and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face
of the earth: The LORD is his name.
32-2:5 The waters compassed me
about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were
wrapped about my head.

valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.

the rivers, that had the waters round
about it, whose rampart was the sea, and her wall was from
the sea?

siege, fortify thy strong holds: go into clay, and tread the morter, make
strong the brickkiln.
35-2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the
glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
35-3:15 Thou didst walk through the sea with thine horses, through
the heap of great waters.
38-14:8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them
toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in
winter shall it be.

said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of
swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place
into the sea, and perished in the waters.
41-9:22 And
ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters,
to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help
us.
47-11:26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils
by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils
in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in
perils among false brethren;
66-1:15 And his
feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the
sound of many waters.

unto living fountains of waters: and God shall
wipe away all tears from their eyes.
66-8:10 And the
third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it
were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the
fountains of waters;
66-8:11 And the
name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters,
and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping
with their harps:

with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his

the fountains of waters.

third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.

thus.

came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me,
saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great
whore that sitteth upon many waters:

saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest,
where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
66-19:6 And I
heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings,
saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
