01-GENESIS
01-3:24 So he
drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims,
and a flaming sword which turned every way, to
keep the way of the tree of life.
01-6:12 And God
looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted
his way upon the earth.
01-12:19 Why saidst
thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now
therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way.
01-14:11 And they
took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their
way.
01-16:7 And the
angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the
fountain in the way to Shur.
01-18:16 And the
men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to
bring them on the way.
01-18:19 For I know
him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they
shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice
and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of
him.
01-18:33 And the
LORD went his way, as soon as he had left
communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.
01-21:16 And she
went, and sat her down over against him a good way
off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child.
And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.
01-24:27 And he
said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left
destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master’s
brethren.
01-24:40 And he
said unto me, The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and
prosper thy way; and thou shalt take a wife for
my son of my kindred, and of my father’s house:
01-24:42 And I came
this day unto the well, and said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, if now thou
do prosper my way which I go:
01-24:48 And I
bowed down my head, and worshipped the LORD, and blessed the LORD God of my
master Abraham, which had led me in the right way
to take my master’s brother’s daughter unto his son.
01-24:56 And he
said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the LORD hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master.
01-24:61 And
Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the
man: and the servant took Rebekah, and went his way.
01-24:62 And Isaac
came from the way of the well Lahairoi; for he
dwelt in the south country.
01-25:34 Then Jacob
gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up,
and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
01-28:20 And Jacob
vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and
raiment to put on,
01-32:1 And Jacob
went on his way, and the angels of God met him.
01-33:16 So Esau
returned that day on his way unto Seir.
01-35:3 And let
us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who
answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.
01-35:16 And they
journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way
to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour.
01-35:19 And Rachel
died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath,
which is Bethlehem.
01-38:14 And she
put her widow’s garments off from her, and covered her with a vail, and wrapped
herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and
she was not given unto him to wife.
01-38:16 And he
turned unto her by the way, and said, Go to, I
pray thee, let me come in unto thee; (for he knew not that she was his
daughter in law.) And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come
in unto me?
01-38:21 Then he
asked the men of that place, saying, Where is the harlot, that was openly
by the way side? And they said, There was no
harlot in this place.
01-42:25 Then
Joseph commanded to fill their sacks with corn, and to restore every man’s
money into his sack, and to give them provision for the way: and thus did he unto them.
01-42:38 And he
said, My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he is
left alone: if mischief befall him by the way in
the which ye go, then shall ye bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the
grave.
01-45:21 And the
children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the
commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way.
01-45:23 And to his
father he sent after this manner; ten asses laden with the good things
of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father
by the way.
01-45:24 So he sent
his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall
not out by the way.
01-48:7 And as
for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in
the way of Ephrath; the same is Bethlehem.
01-49:17 Dan shall
be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path,
that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.
02-2:12 And he
looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the
Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.
02-4:24 And it
came to pass by the way in the inn, that the
LORD met him, and sought to kill him.
02-5:20 And they
met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as
they came forth from Pharaoh:
02-13:17 And it
came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through
the way of the land of the Philistines,
although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people
repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:
02-13:18 But God
led the people about, through the way of
the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out
of the land of Egypt.
02-13:21 And the
LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them
light; to go by day and night:
02-18:8 And Moses
told his father in law all that the LORD had done unto Pharaoh and to the
Egyptians for Israel’s sake, and all the travail that had come upon them
by the way, and how the LORD delivered
them.
02-18:20 And thou
shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they
must do.
02-18:27 And Moses
let his father in law depart; and he went his way
into his own land.
02-23:20 Behold, I
send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way,
and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
02-32:8 They have
turned aside quickly out of the way which I
commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and
have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which
have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
02-33:3 Unto a
land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee;
for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.
02-33:13 Now
therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in
thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.
04-13:17 And Moses
sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain:
04-14:25 (Now the
Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelt in the valley.) To morrow turn you, and get
you into the wilderness by the way of the Red
sea.
04-20:17 Let us
pass, I pray thee, through thy country: we will not pass through the fields, or
through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells:
we will go by the king’s high way, we
will not turn to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy
borders.
04-20:19 And the
children of Israel said unto him, We will go by the high way: and if I and my cattle drink of thy water, then I
will pay for it: I will only, without doing any thing else, go
through on my feet.
04-21:1 And when
king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south, heard tell that Israel
came by the way of the spies; then he fought
against Israel, and took some of them prisoners.
04-21:4 And they
journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red
sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much
discouraged because of the way.
04-21:22 Let me
pass through thy land: we will not turn into the fields, or into the vineyards;
we will not drink of the waters of the well: but we will go along
by the king’s high way, until we be past
thy borders.
04-21:33 And they
turned and went up by the way of Bashan: and Og
the king of Bashan went out against them, he, and all his people, to the battle
at Edrei.
04-22:22 And God’s
anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding
upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.
04-22:23 And the
ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way,
and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the
ass, to turn her into the way.
04-22:26 And the
angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no
way to turn either to the right hand or to the
left.
04-22:31 Then the
LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in
the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he
bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.
04-22:32 And the
angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these
three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me:
04-22:34 And Balaam
said unto the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou
stoodest in the way against me: now therefore,
if it displease thee, I will get me back again.
04-24:25 And Balaam
rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.
05-1:2 (There
are eleven days’ journey from Horeb by the way
of mount Seir unto Kadeshbarnea.)
05-1:19 And when
we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness,
which ye saw by the way of the mountain of the
Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadeshbarnea.
05-1:22 And ye
came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and
they shall search us out the land, and bring us word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come.
05-1:31 And in
the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a
man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye
went, until ye came into this place.
05-1:33 Who went
in the way before you, to search you out a place
to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.
05-1:40 But as
for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.
05-2:1 Then we
turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea, as the LORD spake unto me: and we compassed
mount Seir many days.
05-2:8 And when
we passed by from our brethren the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir,
through the way of the plain from Elath, and
from Eziongaber, we turned and passed by the way
of the wilderness of Moab.
05-2:27 Let me
pass through thy land: I will go along by the high way,
I will neither turn unto the right hand nor to the left.
05-3:1 Then we
turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og
the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at
Edrei.
05-6:7 And thou
shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou
sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way,
and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
05-8:2 And thou
shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy
God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to
prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep
his commandments, or no.
05-9:12 And the
LORD said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people which
thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are
quickly turned aside out of the way which I
commanded them; they have made them a molten image.
05-9:16 And I
looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had
made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you.
05-11:19 And ye
shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine
house, and when thou walkest by the way, when
thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
05-11:28 And a
curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn
aside out of the way which I command you this
day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.
05-11:30 Are they
not on the other side Jordan, by the way where
the sun goeth down, in the land of the Canaanites, which dwell in the champaign
over against Gilgal, beside the plains of Moreh?
05-13:5 And that
prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath
spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of
the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee
out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded
thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.
05-14:24 And if the
way be too long for thee, so that thou art not
able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD
thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed
thee:
05-17:16 But he
shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt,
to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the LORD hath said unto
you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way.
05-19:3 Thou
shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts
of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts,
that every slayer may flee thither.
05-19:6 Lest the
avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake
him, because the way is long, and slay him;
whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time
past.
05-22:4 Thou
shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely
help him to lift them up again.
05-22:6 If a
bird’s nest chance to be before thee in the way
in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and
the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam
with the young:
05-23:4 Because
they met you not with bread and with water in the way,
when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the
son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
05-24:9 Remember
what the LORD thy God did unto Miriam by the way,
after that ye were come forth out of Egypt.
05-25:17 Remember
what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye
were come forth out of Egypt;
05-25:18 How he met
thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee,
even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint
and weary; and he feared not God.
05-27:18 Cursed be
he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way.
And all the people shall say, Amen.
05-28:7 The LORD
shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy
face: they shall come out against thee one way,
and flee before thee seven ways.
05-28:25 The LORD
shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and
shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
05-28:68 And the
LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no
more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and
bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
05-31:29 For I know
that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside
from the way which I have commanded you; and
evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight
of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.
06-1:8 This
book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate
therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is
written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way
prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
06-2:7 And the
men pursued after them the way to Jordan unto
the fords: and as soon as they which pursued after them were gone out, they
shut the gate.
06-2:16 And she
said unto them, Get you to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you; and hide
yourselves there three days, until the pursuers be returned: and afterward may
ye go your way.
06-2:22 And they
went, and came unto the mountain, and abode there three days, until the
pursuers were returned: and the pursuers sought them throughout all the way, but found them not.
06-3:4 Yet
there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by
measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way
by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore.
06-5:4 And this
is the cause why Joshua did circumcise: All the people that came out of
Egypt, that were males, even all the men of war, died in the
wilderness by the way, after they came out of
Egypt.
06-5:5 Now all
the people that came out were circumcised: but all the people that were born
in the wilderness by the way as they came forth
out of Egypt, them they had not circumcised.
06-5:7 And
their children, whom he raised up in their stead, them Joshua
circumcised: for they were uncircumcised, because they had not circumcised them
by the way.
06-8:15 And
Joshua and all Israel made as if they were beaten before them, and fled by the way of the wilderness.
06-8:20 And when
the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city
ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to flee this way or that way: and
the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers.
06-10:10 And the
LORD discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at
Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth
up to Bethhoron, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.
06-12:3 And from
the plain to the sea of Chinneroth on the east, and unto the sea of the plain, even
the salt sea on the east, the way to
Bethjeshimoth; and from the south, under Ashdothpisgah:
06-23:14 And,
behold, this day I am going the way of
all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not
one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake
concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath
failed thereof.
06-24:17 For the
LORD our God, he it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the
land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in
our sight, and preserved us in all the way
wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed:
07-2:17 And yet
they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other
gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the
commandments of the LORD; but they did not so.
07-2:19 And it
came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they returned, and corrupted
themselves more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve
them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings, nor
from their stubborn way.
07-2:22 That
through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the LORD to walk therein, as their fathers did
keep it, or not.
07-5:10 Speak, ye
that ride on white asses, ye that sit in judgment, and walk by the way.
07-8:11 And
Gideon went up by the way of them that dwelt in
tents on the east of Nobah and Jogbehah, and smote the host: for the host was
secure.
07-9:25 And the
men of Shechem set liers in wait for him in the top of the mountains, and they
robbed all that came along that way by them: and
it was told Abimelech.
07-18:5 And they
said unto him, Ask counsel, we pray thee, of God, that we may know whether our way which we go shall be prosperous.
07-18:6 And the
priest said unto them, Go in peace: before the LORD is your way wherein ye go.
07-18:22 And when
they were a good way from the house of Micah,
the men that were in the houses near to Micah’s house were gathered
together, and overtook the children of Dan.
07-18:26 And the
children of Dan went their way: and when Micah
saw that they were too strong for him, he turned and went back unto his
house.
07-19:5 And it
came to pass on the fourth day, when they arose early in the morning, that he
rose up to depart: and the damsel’s father said unto his son in law, Comfort
thine heart with a morsel of bread, and afterward go your way.
07-19:9 And when
the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father
in law, the damsel’s father, said unto him, Behold, now the day draweth toward
evening, I pray you tarry all night: behold, the day groweth to an end, lodge
here, that thine heart may be merry; and to morrow get you early on your way, that thou mayest go home.
07-19:14 And they
passed on and went their way; and the sun went
down upon them when they were by Gibeah, which belongeth to
Benjamin.
07-19:27 And her
lord rose up in the morning, and opened the doors of the house, and went out to
go his way: and, behold, the woman his concubine
was fallen down at the door of the house, and her hands were upon
the threshold.
07-20:42 Therefore
they turned their backs before the men of Israel unto the way of the wilderness; but the battle overtook them;
and them which came out of the cities they destroyed in the midst of
them.
08-1:7 Wherefore
she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law
with her; and they went on the way to return
unto the land of Judah.
08-1:12 Turn
again, my daughters, go your way; for I
am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should
have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons;
09-1:18 And she
said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.
09-6:9 And see,
if it goeth up by the way of his own coast to
Bethshemesh, then he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we
shall know that it is not his hand that smote us: it was a
chance that happened to us.
09-6:12 And the
kine took the straight way to the way of Bethshemesh, and went along the highway,
lowing as they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the
left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of
Bethshemesh.
09-9:6 And he
said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he
is an honourable man; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us
go thither; peradventure he can shew us our way
that we should go.
09-9:8 And the
servant answered Saul again, and said, Behold, I have here at hand the fourth
part of a shekel of silver: that will I give to the man of God, to tell
us our way.
09-12:23 Moreover
as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for
you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:
09-13:17 And the
spoilers came out of the camp of the Philistines in three companies: one
company turned unto the way that leadeth to Ophrah,
unto the land of Shual:
09-13:18 And
another company turned the way to Bethhoron:
and another company turned to the way of
the border that looketh to the valley of Zeboim toward the wilderness.
09-15:2 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how
he laid wait for him in the way, when he
came up from Egypt.
09-15:20 And Saul
said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the
king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.
09-17:52 And the
men of Israel and of Judah arose, and shouted, and pursued the Philistines,
until thou come to the valley, and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of
the Philistines fell down by the way to
Shaaraim, even unto Gath, and unto Ekron.
09-20:22 But if I
say thus unto the young man, Behold, the arrows are beyond thee; go thy way: for the LORD hath sent thee away.
09-24:3 And he
came to the sheepcotes by the way, where was a
cave; and Saul went in to cover his feet: and David and his men remained in the
sides of the cave.
09-24:7 So David
stayed his servants with these words, and suffered them not to rise against
Saul. But Saul rose up out of the cave, and went on his way.
09-25:12 So David’s
young men turned their way, and went again, and
came and told him all those sayings.
09-26:3 And Saul
pitched in the hill of Hachilah, which is before Jeshimon, by the way. But David abode in the wilderness, and he saw
that Saul came after him into the wilderness.
09-26:25 Then Saul
said to David, Blessed be thou, my son David: thou shalt both do great things,
and also shalt still prevail. So David went on his way,
and Saul returned to his place.
09-28:22 Now
therefore, I pray thee, hearken thou also unto the voice of thine handmaid, and
let me set a morsel of bread before thee; and eat, that thou mayest have
strength, when thou goest on thy way.
09-30:2 And had
taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either
great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.
10-2:24 Joab also
and Abishai pursued after Abner: and the sun went down when they were come to
the hill of Ammah, that lieth before Giah by the way of the wilderness of Gibeon.
10-13:30 And it
came to pass, while they were in the way, that
tidings came to David, saying, Absalom hath slain all the king’s sons, and
there is not one of them left.
10-13:34 But
Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and
looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way
of the hill side behind him.
10-15:2 And
Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way
of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy
came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what
city art thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes
of Israel.
10-15:23 And all
the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king
also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over,
toward the way of the wilderness.
10-16:13 And as
David and his men went by the way, Shimei went
along on the hill’s side over against him, and cursed as he went, and threw
stones at him, and cast dust.
10-18:23 But
howsoever, said he, let me run. And he said unto him, Run. Then Ahimaaz
ran by the way of the plain, and overran Cushi.
10-19:36 Thy
servant will go a little way over Jordan with
the king: and why should the king recompense it me with such a reward?
10-22:31 As for God,
his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is
tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
10-22:33 God is my
strength and power: And he maketh my way
perfect.
11-1:49 And all
the guests that were with Adonijah were afraid, and rose up, and went
every man his way.
11-2:2 I go the
way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore,
and shew thyself a man;
11-2:4 That the
LORD may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy
children take heed to their way, to walk before
me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail
thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.
11-8:25 Therefore
now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou
promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on
the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked
before me.
11-8:32 Then hear
thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring
his way upon his head; and justifying the
righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.
11-8:36 Then hear
thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel,
that thou teach them the good way wherein they
should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people
for an inheritance.
11-11:29 And it
came to pass at that time when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet
Ahijah the Shilonite found him in the way; and
he had clad himself with a new garment; and they two were alone in the
field:
11-13:9 For so
was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink
water, nor turn again by the same way that thou
camest.
11-13:10 So he went
another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel.
11-13:12 And their
father said unto them, What way went he? For his
sons had seen what way the man of God went,
which came from Judah.
11-13:17 For it was
said to me by the word of the LORD, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water
there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou
camest.
11-13:24 And when
he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew
him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and
the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase.
11-13:25 And,
behold, men passed by, and saw the carcase cast in the way,
and the lion standing by the carcase: and they came and told it in the
city where the old prophet dwelt.
11-13:26 And when
the prophet that brought him back from the way
heard thereof, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient
unto the word of the LORD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion,
which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he
spake unto him.
11-13:28 And he
went and found his carcase cast in the way, and
the ass and the lion standing by the carcase: the lion had not eaten the
carcase, nor torn the ass.
11-13:33 After this
thing Jeroboam returned not from his evil way,
but made again of the lowest of the people priests of the high places:
whosoever would, he consecrated him, and he became one of the priests of
the high places.
11-15:26 And he did
evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way
of his father, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.
11-15:34 And he did
evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way
of Jeroboam, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.
11-16:2 Forasmuch
as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel;
and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and
hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;
11-16:19 For his
sins which he sinned in doing evil in the sight of the LORD, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, to make
Israel to sin.
11-16:26 For he
walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of
Nebat, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin, to provoke the LORD God
of Israel to anger with their vanities.
11-18:6 So they
divided the land between them to pass throughout it: Ahab went one way by himself, and Obadiah went another way by himself.
11-18:7 And as
Obadiah was in the way, behold, Elijah met him:
and he knew him, and fell on his face, and said, Art thou that my lord
Elijah?
11-19:15 And the
LORD said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the
wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king
over Syria:
11-20:38 So the
prophet departed, and waited for the king by the way,
and disguised himself with ashes upon his face.
11-22:24 But
Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and
said, Which way went the spirit of the LORD from
me to speak unto thee?
11-22:52 And he did
evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way
of his father, and in the way of his mother, and
in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who
made Israel to sin:
12-2:23 And he
went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city,
and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald
head.
12-3:8 And he
said, Which way shall we go up? And he answered,
The way through the wilderness of Edom.
12-3:20 And it
came to pass in the morning, when the meat offering was offered, that, behold,
there came water by the way of Edom, and the country
was filled with water.
12-4:29 Then he
said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thine hand, and go thy way: if thou meet any man, salute him not; and if any
salute thee, answer him not again: and lay my staff upon the face of the child.
12-5:19 And he
said unto him, Go in peace. So he departed from him a little way.
12-6:19 And
Elisha said unto them, This is not the way,
neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man
whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria.
12-7:15 And they
went after them unto Jordan: and, lo, all the way
was full of garments and vessels, which the Syrians had cast away in
their haste. And the messengers returned, and told the king.
12-8:18 And he
walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did
the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in
the sight of the LORD.
12-8:27 And he
walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did
evil in the sight of the LORD, as did the house of Ahab: for he was the
son in law of the house of Ahab.
12-9:27 But when
Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him,
and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up
to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.
12-10:12 And he
arose and departed, and came to Samaria. And as he was at the
shearing house in the way,
12-11:16 And they
laid hands on her; and she went by the way by
the which the horses came into the king’s house: and there was she slain.
12-11:19 And he
took the rulers over hundreds, and the captains, and the guard, and all the
people of the land; and they brought down the king from the house of the LORD,
and came by the way of the gate of the guard to
the king’s house. And he sat on the throne of the kings.
12-16:3 But he
walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea,
and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the
heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel.
12-19:28 Because
thy rage against me and thy tumult is come up into mine ears, therefore I will
put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back
by the way by which thou camest.
12-19:33 By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and
shall not come into this city, saith the LORD.
12-21:21 And he
walked in all the way that his father walked in,
and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them:
12-21:22 And he
forsook the LORD God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of the LORD.
12-22:2 And he
did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in all the
way of David his father, and turned not aside to
the right hand or to the left.
12-25:4 And the
city was broken up, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which is by
the king’s garden: (now the Chaldees were against the city round about:)
and the king went the way toward the
plain.
14-6:16 Now
therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that
which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my
sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to
their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked
before me.
14-6:23 Then hear
thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, by requiting the wicked, by
recompensing his way upon his own head; and by
justifying the righteous, by giving him according to his righteousness.
14-6:27 Then hear
thou from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people
Israel, when thou hast taught them the good way,
wherein they should walk; and send rain upon thy land, which thou hast given
unto thy people for an inheritance.
14-6:34 If thy
people go out to war against their enemies by the way
that thou shalt send them, and they pray unto thee toward this city which thou
hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name;
14-11:17 So they
strengthened the kingdom of Judah, and made Rehoboam the son of Solomon strong,
three years: for three years they walked in the way
of David and Solomon.
14-18:23 Then
Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and
said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from
me to speak unto thee?
14-20:32 And he
walked in the way of Asa his father, and
departed not from it, doing that which was right in the sight of the
LORD.
14-21:6 And he
walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like
as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he
wrought that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD.
14-21:13 But hast
walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and
hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to the
whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also hast slain thy brethren of thy
father’s house, which were better than thyself:
15-8:21 Then I
proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves
before our God, to seek of him a right way for
us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance.
15-8:22 For I was
ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us
against the enemy in the way: because we had
spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for
good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that
forsake him.
15-8:31 Then we
departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month,
to go unto Jerusalem: and the hand of our God was upon us, and he delivered us
from the hand of the enemy, and of such as lay in wait by the way.
16-8:10 Then he
said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and
drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this
day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the
LORD is your strength.
16-8:12 And all
the people went their way to eat, and to drink,
and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the
words that were declared unto them.
16-9:12 Moreover
thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar
of fire, to give them light in the way wherein
they should go.
16-9:19 Yet thou
in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of
the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them
light, and the way wherein they should go.
17-4:17 So
Mordecai went his way, and did according to all
that Esther had commanded him.
18-3:23 Why is
light given to a man whose way is hid, and
whom God hath hedged in?
18-6:18 The paths
of their way are turned aside; they go to
nothing, and perish.
18-8:19 Behold,
this is the joy of his way, and out of
the earth shall others grow.
18-12:24 He taketh
away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to
wander in a wilderness where there is no way.
18-16:22 When a few
years are come, then I shall go the way whence
I shall not return.
18-17:9 The
righteous also shall hold on his way, and he
that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
18-18:10 The snare is
laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.
18-19:8 He hath
fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath
set darkness in my paths.
18-19:12 His troops
come together, and raise up their way against
me, and encamp round about my tabernacle.
18-21:29 Have ye
not asked them that go by the way? and do ye not
know their tokens,
18-21:31 Who shall
declare his way to his face? and who shall repay
him what he hath done?
18-22:15 Hast thou
marked the old way which wicked men have
trodden?
18-23:10 But he
knoweth the way that I take: when he hath
tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
18-23:11 My foot
hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and
not declined.
18-24:4 They turn
the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth
hide themselves together.
18-24:18 He is swift
as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the vineyards.
18-24:24 They are
exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of
the way as all other, and cut off as the
tops of the ears of corn.
18-28:23 God
understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth
the place thereof.
18-28:26 When he
made a decree for the rain, and a way for the
lightning of the thunder:
18-29:25 I chose
out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a
king in the army, as one that comforteth the mourners.
18-31:7 If my
step hath turned out of the way, and mine heart
walked after mine eyes, and if any blot hath cleaved to mine hands;
18-36:23 Who hath
enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast
wrought iniquity?
18-38:19 Where is
the way where light dwelleth? and as
for darkness, where is the place thereof,
18-38:24 By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the
east wind upon the earth?
18-38:25 Who hath
divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
19-1:1 Blessed is
the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the
way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the
scornful.
19-1:6 For the
LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
19-2:12 Kiss the
Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way,
when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put
their trust in him.
19-5:8 Lead me,
O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
19-18:30 As for God,
his way is perfect: the word of the LORD
is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
19-18:32 It is God
that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way
perfect.
19-25:8 Good and
upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
19-25:9 The meek
will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
19-25:12 What man is
he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
19-27:11 Teach me
thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path,
because of mine enemies.
19-32:8 I will
instruct thee and teach thee in the way which
thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
19-35:3 Draw out
also the spear, and stop the way against
them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
19-35:6 Let their
way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of
the LORD persecute them.
19-36:4 He
deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.
19-37:5 Commit
thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he
shall bring it to pass.
19-37:7 Rest in
the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who
prospereth in his way, because of the man who
bringeth wicked devices to pass.
19-37:23 The steps
of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
19-37:34 Wait on
the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt
thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
19-44:18 Our heart
is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way;
19-49:13 This their
way is their folly: yet their posterity
approve their sayings. Selah.
19-67:2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among
all nations.
19-77:13 Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great
a God as our God?
19-77:19 Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great
waters, and thy footsteps are not known.
19-78:50 He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death,
but gave their life over to the pestilence;
19-80:12 Why hast
thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?
19-85:13 Righteousness
shall go before him; and shall set us in the way
of his steps.
19-86:11 Teach me
thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite
my heart to fear thy name.
19-89:41 All that
pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to
his neighbours.
19-101:2 I will
behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when
wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
19-101:6 Mine eyes shall
be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that
walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
19-102:23 He weakened
my strength in the way; he shortened my days.
19-107:4 They
wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way;
they found no city to dwell in.
19-107:7 And he led
them forth by the right way, that they might go
to a city of habitation.
19-107:40 He poureth
contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where
there is no way.
19-110:7 He shall
drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall
he lift up the head.
19-119:1 ALEPH.
Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who
walk in the law of the LORD.
19-119:9 BETH.
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?
by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
19-119:14 I have
rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much
as in all riches.
19-119:27 Make me to
understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I
talk of thy wondrous works.
19-119:29 Remove from
me the way of lying: and grant me thy law
graciously.
19-119:30 I have
chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I
laid before me.
19-119:32 I will run
the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt
enlarge my heart.
19-119:33 HE.
Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I
shall keep it unto the end.
19-119:37 Turn away
mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.
19-119:101 I have
refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might
keep thy word.
19-119:104 Through thy
precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
19-119:128 Therefore I
esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right;
and I hate every false way.
19-139:24 And see if there
be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
19-142:3 When my
spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare
for me.
19-143:8 Cause me
to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to
know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift
up my soul unto thee.
19-146:9 The LORD
preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
20-1:15 My son,
walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy
foot from their path:
20-1:31 Therefore
shall they eat of the fruit of their own way,
and be filled with their own devices.
20-2:8 He
keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way
of his saints.
20-2:12 To
deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from
the man that speaketh froward things;
20-2:20 That thou
mayest walk in the way of good men, and
keep the paths of the righteous.
20-3:23 Then
shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot
shall not stumble.
20-4:11 I have
taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led
thee in right paths.
20-4:14 Enter not
into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way
of evil men.
20-4:19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not
at what they stumble.
20-5:8 Remove
thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door
of her house:
20-6:23 For the
commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of
instruction are the way of life:
20-7:8 Passing
through the street near her corner; and he went the way
to her house,
20-7:27 Her house
is the way to hell, going down to the
chambers of death.
20-8:2 She
standeth in the top of high places, by the way
in the places of the paths.
20-8:13 The fear
of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
20-8:20 I lead in
the way of righteousness, in the midst of the
paths of judgment:
20-8:22 The LORD
possessed me in the beginning of his way, before
his works of old.
20-9:6 Forsake
the foolish, and live; and go in the way of
understanding.
20-10:17 He is
in the way of life that keepeth instruction:
but he that refuseth reproof erreth.
20-10:29 The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but
destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
20-11:5 The
righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way:
but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
20-11:20 They that
are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright
in their way are his delight.
20-12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he
that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
20-12:26 The
righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.
20-12:28 In the way of righteousness is life; and in the
pathway thereof there is no death.
20-13:6 Righteousness
keepeth him that is upright in the way:
but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.
20-13:15 Good
understanding giveth favour: but the way of
transgressors is hard.
20-14:8 The
wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way:
but the folly of fools is deceit.
20-14:12 There is a
way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end
thereof are the ways of death.
20-15:9 The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD:
but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.
20-15:10 Correction
is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way:
and he that hateth reproof shall die.
20-15:19 The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of
thorns: but the way of the righteous is made
plain.
20-15:24 The way of life is above to the wise, that he may
depart from hell beneath.
20-16:9 A man’s
heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth
his steps.
20-16:17 The
highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
20-16:25 There is a
way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end
thereof are the ways of death.
20-16:29 A violent
man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way
that is not good.
20-16:31 The hoary
head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.
20-19:3 The
foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his
heart fretteth against the LORD.
20-20:14 It is naught,
it is naught, saith the buyer: but when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.
20-20:24 Man’s
goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?
20-21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the
LORD pondereth the hearts.
20-21:8 The way of man is froward and strange: but as
for the pure, his work is right.
20-21:16 The man
that wandereth out of the way of understanding
shall remain in the congregation of the dead.
20-21:29 A wicked
man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way.
20-22:5 Thorns and
snares are in the way of the froward:
he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them.
20-22:6 Train up
a child in the way he should go: and when he is
old, he will not depart from it.
20-23:19 Hear thou,
my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way.
20-26:13 The
slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.
20-28:10 Whoso
causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way,
he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things
in possession.
20-29:27 An unjust
man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.
20-30:19 The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.
20-30:20 Such is
the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth,
and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.
21-9:7 Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a
merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
21-10:3 Yea also,
when he that is a fool walketh by the way, his
wisdom faileth him, and he saith to every one that he is a
fool.
21-11:5 As thou
knowest not what is the way of the
spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with
child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
21-12:5 Also when
they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in
the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and
the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to
his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:
22-1:8 If thou
know not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way
forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds’
tents.
23-3:12 As for
my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them.
O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
23-8:11 For the
LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not
walk in the way of this people, saying,
23-9:1 Nevertheless
the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when
at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,
and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the
nations.
23-15:5 My heart
shall cry out for Moab; his fugitives shall flee unto Zoar, an heifer of
three years old: for by the mounting up of Luhith with weeping shall they go it
up; for in the way of Horonaim they shall raise
up a cry of destruction.
23-26:7 The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most
upright, dost weigh the path of the just.
23-26:8 Yea, in
the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited
for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the
remembrance of thee.
23-28:7 But they
also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through
strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they
stumble in judgment.
23-30:11 Get you
out of the way, turn aside out of the path,
cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.
23-30:21 And thine
ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand,
and when ye turn to the left.
23-35:8 And an
highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall
be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall
not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though
fools, shall not err therein.
23-37:29 Because
thy rage against me, and thy tumult, is come up into mine ears, therefore will
I put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back
by the way by which thou camest.
23-37:34 By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and
shall not come into this city, saith the LORD.
23-40:3 The voice
of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way
of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
23-40:14 With whom
took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of
judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?
23-40:27 Why sayest
thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is
hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?
23-41:3 He
pursued them, and passed safely; even by the way that he had not gone with his feet.
23-42:16 And I will
bring the blind by a way that they knew
not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make
darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do
unto them, and not forsake them.
23-43:16 Thus saith
the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a
path in the mighty waters;
23-43:19 Behold, I
will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will
even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers
in the desert.
23-48:15 I, even
I, have spoken; yea, I have called him: I have brought him, and he shall
make his way prosperous.
23-48:17 Thus saith
the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God
which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
23-49:11 And I will
make all my mountains a way, and my highways
shall be exalted.
23-51:10 Art thou
not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made
the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to
pass over?
23-53:6 All we
like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us
all.
23-55:7 Let the
wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man
his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon
him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
23-56:11 Yea, they
are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds
that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
23-57:10 Thou art
wearied in the greatness of thy way; yet saidst
thou not, There is no hope: thou hast found the life of thine hand; therefore
thou wast not grieved.
23-57:14 And shall
say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way,
take up the stumbling block out of the way of my
people.
23-57:17 For the
iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was
wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of
his heart.
23-59:8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no
judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth
therein shall not know peace.
23-62:10 Go
through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way
of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a
standard for the people.
23-65:2 I have
spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own
thoughts;
24-2:17 Hast thou
not procured this unto thyself, in that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God,
when he led thee by the way?
24-2:18 And now
what hast thou to do in the way of Egypt, to
drink the waters of Sihor? or what hast thou to do in the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of the river?
24-2:23 How canst
thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: thou
art a swift dromedary traversing her ways;
24-2:33 Why
trimmest thou thy way to seek love? therefore
hast thou also taught the wicked ones thy ways.
24-2:36 Why
gaddest thou about so much to change thy way?
thou also shalt be ashamed of Egypt, as thou wast ashamed of Assyria.
24-3:21 A voice
was heard upon the high places, weeping and supplications of the
children of Israel: for they have perverted their way,
and they have forgotten the LORD their God.
24-4:7 The lion
is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land
desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.
24-4:18 Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto
thee; this is thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto
thine heart.
24-5:4 Therefore
I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God.
24-5:5 I will
get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the LORD, and the judgment of their God:
but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.
24-6:16 Thus
saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where
is the good way, and walk therein, and ye
shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
24-6:25 Go not
forth into the field, nor walk by the way; for
the sword of the enemy and fear is on every side.
24-6:27 I have
set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou
mayest know and try their way.
24-10:2 Thus
saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the
heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are
dismayed at them.
24-10:23 O LORD, I
know that the way of man is not in
himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
24-12:1 Righteous
art thou, O LORD, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy
judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the
wicked prosper? wherefore are all they happy that deal very
treacherously?
24-18:11 Now
therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of
Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and
devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.
24-18:15 Because my
people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have
caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in
paths, in a way not cast up;
24-21:8 And unto
this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way
of death.
24-23:12 Wherefore
their way shall be unto them as slippery ways
in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will
bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.
24-23:22 But if
they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then
they should have turned them from their evil way,
and from the evil of their doings.
24-25:5 They said,
Turn ye again now every one from his evil way,
and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath
given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever:
24-25:35 And the
shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the
principal of the flock to escape.
24-26:3 If so be
they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way,
that I may repent me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them because of
the evil of their doings.
24-28:11 And
Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the LORD;
Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck
of all nations within the space of two full years. And the prophet Jeremiah
went his way.
24-31:9 They
shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause
them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way,
wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my
firstborn.
24-31:21 Set thee
up waymarks, make thee high heaps: set thine heart toward the highway, even the
way which thou wentest: turn again, O
virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities.
24-32:39 And I will
give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear
me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:
24-35:15 I have
sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them,
saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way,
and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall
dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have
not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.
24-36:3 It may be
that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them;
that they may return every man from his evil way;
that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.
24-36:7 It may be
they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one
from his evil way: for great is the anger
and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people.
24-39:4 And it
came to pass, that when Zedekiah the king of Judah saw them, and all the
men of war, then they fled, and went forth out of the city by night, by the way of the king’s garden, by the gate betwixt the two
walls: and he went out the way of the plain.
24-42:3 That the
LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may
walk, and the thing that we may do.
24-48:19 O
inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and espy;
ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, and say, What is done?
24-50:5 They
shall ask the way to Zion with their faces
thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a
perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten.
24-52:7 Then the
city was broken up, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city
by night by the way of the gate between the two
walls, which was by the king’s garden; (now the Chaldeans were by
the city round about:) and they went by the way
of the plain.
26-3:18 When I
say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning,
nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way,
to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his
blood will I require at thine hand.
26-3:19 Yet if
thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast
delivered thy soul.
26-7:27 The king
shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of
the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them;
and they shall know that I am the LORD.
26-8:5 Then
said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate
of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.
26-9:2 And,
behold, six men came from the way of the higher
gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his
hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s
inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
26-9:10 And as
for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I
will recompense their way upon their head.
26-11:21 But as
for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and
their abominations, I will recompense their way
upon their own heads, saith the Lord GOD.
26-13:22 Because
with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made
sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from
his wicked way, by promising him life:
26-14:22 Yet,
behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons
and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted
concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning
all that I have brought upon it.
26-16:25 Thou hast
built thy high place at every head of the way,
and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one
that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms.
26-16:27 Behold,
therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine
ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee,
the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.
26-16:31 In that
thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way,
and makest thine high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in
that thou scornest hire;
26-16:43 Because
thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all
these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord GOD: and
thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations.
26-18:25 Yet ye
say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now,
O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not
your ways unequal?
26-18:29 Yet saith
the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not
equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?
26-21:16 Go thee
one way or other, either on the right
hand, or on the left, whithersoever thy face is set.
26-21:19 Also, thou
son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may
come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a place,
choose it at the head of the way to the
city.
26-21:20 Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the
Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced.
26-21:21 For the
king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way,
at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows
bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver.
26-22:31 Therefore
have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the
fire of my wrath: their own way have I
recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.
26-23:13 Then I saw
that she was defiled, that they took both one way,
26-23:31 Thou hast
walked in the way of thy sister; therefore will
I give her cup into thine hand.
26-33:8 When I
say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost
not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that
wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at
thine hand.
26-33:9 Nevertheless,
if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from
it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die
in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
26-33:11 Say unto
them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of
the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way
and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of
Israel?
26-33:17 Yet the
children of thy people say, The way of the Lord
is not equal: but as for them, their way is not
equal.
26-33:20 Yet ye
say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye
house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.
26-36:17 Son of man,
when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.
26-36:19 And I
scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the
countries: according to their way and according
to their doings I judged them.
26-42:1 Then he
brought me forth into the utter court, the way
toward the north: and he brought me into the chamber that was over
against the separate place, and which was before the building toward the
north.
26-42:4 And
before the chambers was a walk of ten cubits breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors toward the north.
26-42:11 And the way before them was like the appearance of the
chambers which were toward the north, as long as they, and as
broad as they: and all their goings out were both according to their
fashions, and according to their doors.
26-42:12 And
according to the doors of the chambers that were toward the south was
a door in the head of the way, even the
way directly before the wall toward the east, as
one entereth into them.
26-43:2 And,
behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way
of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the
earth shined with his glory.
26-43:4 And the
glory of the LORD came into the house by the way
of the gate whose prospect is toward the east.
26-44:1 Then he
brought me back the way of the gate of the
outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut.
26-44:3 It is for
the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before the LORD; he
shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate,
and shall go out by the way of the same.
26-44:4 Then
brought he me the way of the north gate before
the house: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house of
the LORD: and I fell upon my face.
26-46:2 And the
prince shall enter by the way of the porch of that
gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests
shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship
at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go forth; but the gate shall not be
shut until the evening.
26-46:8 And when
the prince shall enter, he shall go in by the way
of the porch of that gate, and he shall go forth by the way thereof.
26-46:9 But when
the people of the land shall come before the LORD in the solemn feasts, he that
entereth in by the way of the north gate to
worship shall go out by the way of the south
gate; and he that entereth by the way of the
south gate shall go forth by the way of the
north gate: he shall not return by the way of
the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it.
26-47:2 Then
brought he me out of the way of the gate
northward, and led me about the way without unto
the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward;
and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.
26-47:15 And this shall
be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the way of Hethlon, as men go to Zedad;
26-48:1 Now these
are the names of the tribes. From the north end to the coast of the way of Hethlon, as one goeth to Hamath, Hazarenan, the
border of Damascus northward, to the coast of Hamath; for these are his sides
east and west; a portion for Dan.
27-12:9 And he
said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed
up and sealed till the time of the end.
27-12:13 But go
thou thy way till the end be: for thou
shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
28-2:6 Therefore,
behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and
make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.
28-6:9 And as
troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in
the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.
28-10:13 Ye have
plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies:
because thou didst trust in thy way, in the
multitude of thy mighty men.
28-13:7 Therefore
I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way
will I observe them:
30-2:7 That
pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in
unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:
32-3:8 But let
man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let
them turn every one from his evil way, and from
the violence that is in their hands.
32-3:10 And God
saw their works, that they turned from their evil way;
and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and
he did it not.
34-1:3 The LORD
is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the
wicked: the LORD hath his way in the
whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
34-2:1 He that
dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power
mightily.
38-10:2 For the
idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false
dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no
shepherd.
39-2:8 But ye
are departed out of the way; ye have caused many
to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD
of hosts.
39-3:1 Behold,
I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way
before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even
the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith
the LORD of hosts.
40-2:12 And being
warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed
into their own country another way.
40-3:3 For this
is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying
in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the
Lord, make his paths straight.
40-4:15 The land
of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way
of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
40-5:24 Leave
there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way;
first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
40-5:25 Agree
with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way
with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the
judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
40-7:13 Enter ye
in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which
go in thereat:
40-7:14 Because
strait is the gate, and narrow is the way,
which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
40-8:4 And
Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way,
shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a

may be able to bear it.
