20-PROVERBS
20-1:19 So are
the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which
taketh away the life of the owners thereof.
20-2:16 To deliver
thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
20-2:17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth
the covenant of her God.
20-6:7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
20-7:5 That they
may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.
20-9:5 Come,
eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I
have mingled.
20-11:22 As a
jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.
20-12:27 The
slothful man roasteth not that which he
took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.
20-14:12 There is a
way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end
thereof are the ways of death.
20-14:33 Wisdom
resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.
20-19:17 He that
hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
20-20:25 It is a
snare to the man who devoureth that which
is holy, and after vows to make enquiry.
20-22:28 Remove not
the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have
set.
20-23:5 Wilt thou
set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches
certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
20-23:8 The
morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou
vomit up, and lose thy sweet words.
20-24:13 My son,
eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:
20-25:1 These are
also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of
Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.
20-27:16 Whosoever
hideth her hideth the wind, and the ointment of his right hand, which bewrayeth itself.
20-28:3 A poor
man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.
20-30:18 There be
three things which are too wonderful for
me, yea, four which I know not:
20-30:21 For three things
the earth is disquieted, and for four which
it cannot bear:
20-30:24 There be
four things which are little upon the
earth, but they are exceeding wise:
20-30:29 There be
three things which go well, yea, four are
comely in going:
20-30:30 A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not
away for any;
20-31:3 Give not thy
strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which
destroyeth kings.
21-ECCLESIASTES
21-1:3 What
profit hath a man of all his labour which he
taketh under the sun?
21-1:9 The
thing that hath been, it is that which
shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing
under the sun.
21-1:10 Is there any
thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already
of old time, which was before us.
21-1:15 That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that
which is wanting cannot be numbered.
21-2:3 I sought
in mine heart to give myself unto wine, yet acquainting mine heart with wisdom;
and to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was that good for the
sons of men, which they should do under the
heaven all the days of their life.
21-2:12 And I
turned myself to behold wisdom, and madness, and folly: for what can the
man do that cometh after the king? even that which hath been already done.
21-2:16 For there
is no remembrance of the wise more than of the fool for ever; seeing that which now is in the days to come shall all be
forgotten. And how dieth the wise man? as the fool.
21-2:18 Yea, I
hated all my labour which I had taken under the
sun: because I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me.
21-2:20 Therefore
I went about to cause my heart to despair of all the labour which I took under the sun.
21-3:2 A time
to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
21-3:10 I have
seen the travail, which God hath given to the
sons of men to be exercised in it.
21-3:15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth
that which is past.
21-3:19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even
one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have
all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.
21-4:2 Wherefore
I praised the dead which are already dead more
than the living which are yet alive.
21-4:3 Yea,
better is he than both they, which hath
not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.
21-4:15 I
considered all the living which walk under the
sun, with the second child that shall stand up in his stead.
21-5:4 When
thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure
in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.
21-5:13 There is
a sore evil which I have seen under the
sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt.
21-5:15 As he
came forth of his mother’s womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and
shall take nothing of his labour, which he may
carry away in his hand.
21-5:18 Behold that
which I have seen: it is good and
comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his
labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion.
21-6:1 There is
an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is
common among men:
21-6:10 That which hath been is named already, and it is known that
it is man: neither may he contend with him that is mightier than he.
21-6:12 For who
knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his
vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who
can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?
21-7:13 Consider
the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?
21-7:19 Wisdom
strengtheneth the wise more than ten mighty men which
are in the city.
21-7:24 That which is far off, and exceeding deep, who can find it
out?
21-7:28 Which yet my soul seeketh, but I find not: one man
among a thousand have I found; but a woman among all those have I not found.
21-8:7 For he
knoweth not that which shall be: for who can
tell him when it shall be?
21-8:12 Though a
sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I
know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which
fear before him:
21-8:13 But it
shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not
before God.
21-8:14 There is
a vanity which is done upon the earth; that
there be just men, unto whom it happeneth according to the work of the
wicked; again, there be wicked men, to whom it happeneth according to
the work of the righteous: I said that this also is vanity.
21-8:15 Then I
commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat,
and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the
days of his life, which God giveth him under the
sun.
21-9:9 Live
joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity,
which he hath given thee under the sun, all the
days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in
thy labour which thou takest under the sun.
21-10:5 There is
an evil which I have seen under the sun,
as an error which proceedeth from the
ruler:
21-10:20 Curse not
the king, no not in thy thought; and curse not the rich in thy bedchamber: for
a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which
hath wings shall tell the matter.
21-12:5 Also when
they shall be afraid of that which is high,
and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the
grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his
long home, and the mourners go about the streets:
21-12:10 The
preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words
of truth.
21-12:11 The words
of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of
assemblies, which are given from one
shepherd.
22-SONG
OF SOLOMON
22-1:1 The song
of songs, which is Solomon’s.
22-3:7 Behold his
bed, which is Solomon’s; threescore
valiant men are about it, of the valiant of Israel.
22-4:2 Thy
teeth are like a flock of sheep that are even shorn, which came up from the washing; whereof every one bear
twins, and none is barren among them.
22-4:5 Thy two
breasts are like two young roes that are twins, which
feed among the lilies.
22-6:6 Thy
teeth are as a flock of sheep which go up
from the washing, whereof every one beareth twins, and there is not one
barren among them.
22-7:2 Thy
navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth
not liquor: thy belly is like an heap of wheat set about with lilies.
22-7:4 Thy neck
is as a tower of ivory; thine eyes like the fishpools in Heshbon,
by the gate of Bathrabbim: thy nose is as the tower of Lebanon which looketh toward Damascus.
22-7:13 The
mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates are all manner of pleasant fruits,
new and old, which I have laid up for
thee, O my beloved.
22-8:6 Set me
as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong
as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals
of fire, which hath a most vehement
flame.
22-8:12 My
vineyard, which is mine, is before
me: thou, O Solomon, must have a thousand, and those that keep the fruit
thereof two hundred.
23-ISAIAH
23-1:1 The
vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw
concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah,
kings of Judah.
23-1:29 For they shall
be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired,
and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.
23-2:8 Their
land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:
23-2:20 In that
day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to
worship, to the moles and to the bats;
23-3:12 As for
my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them.
O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to
err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
23-5:23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the
righteousness of the righteous from him!
23-6:6 Then
flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the
altar:
23-8:18 Behold, I
and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for
wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which
dwelleth in mount Zion.
23-10:1 Woe unto
them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;
23-10:3 And what
will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee
for help? and where will ye leave your glory?
23-11:10 And in
that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which
shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his
rest shall be glorious.
23-11:11 And it
shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again
the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which
shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush,
and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the
sea.
23-11:16 And there shall
be an highway for the remnant of his people, which
shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came
up out of the land of Egypt.
23-13:1 The
burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz
did see.
23-13:17 Behold, I
will stir up the Medes against them, which shall
not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.
23-14:12 How art
thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut
down to the ground, which didst weaken the
nations!
23-15:7 Therefore
the abundance they have gotten, and that which
they have laid up, shall they carry away to the brook of the willows.
23-17:2 The
cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
23-17:8 And he
shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that
which his fingers have made, either the
groves, or the images.
23-17:9 In that
day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and
there shall be desolation.
23-17:12 Woe to the
multitude of many people, which make a
noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make
a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!
23-18:1 Woe to
the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond
the rivers of Ethiopia:
23-19:15 Neither
shall there be any work for Egypt, which
the head or tail, branch or rush, may do.
23-19:16 In that
day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of
the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which
he shaketh over it.
23-19:17 And the
land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention
thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of
hosts, which he hath determined against it.
23-21:10 O my
threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which
I have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
23-22:3 All thy
rulers are fled together, they are bound by the archers: all that are found in
thee are bound together, which have fled
from far.
23-22:15 Thus saith
the Lord GOD of hosts, Go, get thee unto this treasurer, even unto
Shebna, which is over the house, and
say,
23-26:2 Open ye
the gates, that the righteous nation which
keepeth the truth may enter in.
23-27:13 And it
shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown,
and they shall come which were ready to perish in
the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship
the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
23-28:1 Woe to
the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a
fading flower, which are on the head of
the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
23-28:2 Behold,
the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as
a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters
overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
23-28:4 And the
glorious beauty, which is on the head of
the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before
the summer; which when he that looketh
upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.
23-28:14 Wherefore
hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
23-28:29 This also
cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is
wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.
23-29:11 And the
vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned,
saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:
23-30:10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets,
Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy
deceits:
23-30:24 The oxen
likewise and the young asses that ear the ground shall eat clean provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel and with the
fan.
23-30:31 For
through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod.
23-30:32 And in every
place where the grounded staff shall pass, which
the LORD shall lay upon him, it shall be with tabrets and harps: and in
battles of shaking will he fight with it.
23-31:7 For in that
day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a
sin.
23-36:3 Then came
forth unto him Eliakim, Hilkiah’s son, which was
over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, Asaph’s son, the recorder.
23-37:4 It may be
the LORD thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his
master hath sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which the LORD thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy
prayer for the remnant that is left.
23-37:12 Have the
gods of the nations delivered them which my
fathers have destroyed, as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the
children of Eden which were in Telassar?
23-37:17 Incline
thine ear, O LORD, and hear; open thine eyes, O LORD, and see: and hear all the
words of Sennacherib, which hath sent to
reproach the living God.
23-37:22 This is
the word which the LORD hath spoken
concerning him; The virgin, the daughter of Zion, hath despised thee, and laughed
thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.
23-37:29 Because
thy rage against me, and thy tumult, is come up into mine ears, therefore will
I put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back
by the way by which thou camest.
23-37:30 And this shall
be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such as groweth of
itself; and the second year that which springeth
of the same: and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and
eat the fruit thereof.
23-38:3 And said,
Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth
and with a perfect heart, and have done that which
is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
23-38:8 Behold, I
will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which
is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned
ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
23-39:6 Behold,
the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this
day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.
23-39:7 And of
thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou
shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of
the king of Babylon.
23-39:8 Then said
Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace
and truth in my days.
23-42:5 Thus
saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he
that spread forth the earth, and that which
cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to
them that walk therein:
23-43:16 Thus saith
the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a
path in the mighty waters;
23-43:17 Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army
and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are
extinct, they are quenched as tow.
23-44:2 Thus
saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant;
and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.
23-44:14 He heweth
him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which
he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash,
and the rain doth nourish it.
23-45:3 And I
will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places,
that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which
call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
23-46:3 Hearken
unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:
23-47:11 Therefore
shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and
mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and
desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which
thou shalt not know.
23-48:1 Hear ye
this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the
name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention
of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.
23-48:14 All ye,
assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them
hath declared these things? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his
pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.
23-48:17 Thus saith
the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
23-49:20 The
children which thou shalt have, after thou hast
lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait
for me: give place to me that I may dwell.
23-50:1 Thus
saith the LORD, Where is the bill of your mother’s divorcement, whom I
have put away? or which of my creditors is it
to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold
yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.
23-51:10 Art thou
not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of
the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to
pass over?
23-51:12 I, even
I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou
shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;
23-51:17 Awake,
awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk
at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast drunken the dregs of the
cup of trembling, and wrung them out.
23-51:23 But I will
put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which
have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy
body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.
23-52:15 So shall
he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that
which had not been told them shall they see;
and that which they had not heard shall
they consider.
23-55:2 Wherefore
do ye spend money for that which is not
bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth
not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which
is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
23-55:11 So shall
my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void,
but it shall accomplish that which I please, and
it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
23-56:8 The Lord
GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel
saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered
unto him.
23-56:11 Yea, they
are greedy dogs which can never have
enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all
look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
23-57:16 For I will
not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should
fail before me, and the souls which I
have made.
23-59:5 They
hatch cockatrice’ eggs, and weave the spider’s web: he that eateth of their
eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh
out into a viper.
23-59:21 As for me,
this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon
thee, and my words which I have put in thy
mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor
out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for
ever.
23-61:9 And their
seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people:
all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.
23-62:2 And the
Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt
be called by a new name, which the mouth of the
LORD shall name.
23-62:6 I have
set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which
shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the
LORD, keep not silence.
23-62:8 The LORD
hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no
more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the
stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which
thou hast laboured:
23-63:7 I will
mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD,
according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness
toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed
on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his
lovingkindnesses.
23-64:3 When thou
didst terrible things which we looked not
for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.
23-65:2 I have spread
out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which
walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
23-65:4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the
monuments, which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of
abominable things is in their vessels;
23-65:5 Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for
I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth
all the day.
23-65:7 Your
iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and
blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into
their bosom.
23-65:18 But be ye
glad and rejoice for ever in that which I
create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
23-66:4 I also
will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when
I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil
before mine eyes, and chose that in which
I delighted not.
23-66:22 For as the
new heavens and the new earth, which I will
make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name
remain.
24-JEREMIAH
24-2:11 Hath a
nation changed their gods, which are yet
no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.
24-3:6 The LORD
said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up
upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the
harlot.
24-3:15 And I
will give you pastors according to mine heart, which
shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
24-5:17 And they
shall eat up thine harvest, and thy bread, which
thy sons and thy daughters should eat: they shall eat up thy flocks and
thine herds: they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig trees: they shall
impoverish thy fenced cities, wherein thou trustedst, with the sword.
24-5:21 Hear now this,
O foolish people, and without understanding; which
have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and
hear not:
24-5:22 Fear ye
not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the
sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof
toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not
pass over it?
24-7:10 And come
and stand before me in this house, which is
called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?
24-7:11 Is this
house, which is called by my name, become a den
of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.
24-7:12 But go ye
now unto my place which was in Shiloh,
where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness
of my people Israel.
24-7:14 Therefore
will I do unto this house, which is
called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.
24-7:30 For the
children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set
their abominations in the house which is called
by my name, to pollute it.
24-7:31 And they
have built the high places of Tophet, which is
in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters
in the fire; which I commanded them not,
neither came it into my heart.
24-8:3 And
death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain
of this evil family, which remain in all the
places whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts.
24-8:17 For,
behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which
will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith the LORD.
24-9:13 And the
LORD saith, Because they have forsaken my law which
I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein;
24-9:14 But have
walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them:
24-9:24 But let him
that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am
the LORD which exercise lovingkindness,
judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I
delight, saith the LORD.
24-9:25 Behold,
the days come, saith the LORD, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised;
24-10:1 Hear ye
the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O
house of Israel:
24-11:4 Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I
brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying,
Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which
I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:
24-11:5 That I
may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your
fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this
day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O LORD.
24-11:8 Yet they
obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of
their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this
covenant, which I commanded them to do;
but they did them not.
24-11:10 They are
turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which
refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house
of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.
24-11:11 Therefore
thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though
they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.
24-11:17 For the
LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the
evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which
they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto
Baal.
24-12:14 Thus saith
the LORD against all mine evil neighbours, that touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit;
Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah
from among them.
24-13:4 Take the
girdle that thou hast got, which is upon
thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.
24-13:6 And it
came to pass after many days, that the LORD said unto me, Arise, go to
Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which
I commanded thee to hide there.
24-13:10 This evil
people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk
after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this
girdle, which is good for nothing.
24-15:4 And I
will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of
Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.
24-15:14 And I will
make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in
mine anger, which shall burn upon you.
24-15:18 Why is my
pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which
refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as
waters that fail?
24-17:4 And thou,
even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I
will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which
thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever.
24-17:16 As for me,
I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow thee: neither have I
desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which
came out of my lips was right before thee.
24-17:19 Thus said
the LORD unto me; Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people,
whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by the which
they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;
24-18:1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
24-18:14 Will a
man leave the snow of Lebanon which
cometh from the rock of the field? or shall the cold flowing waters
that come from another place be forsaken?
24-19:2 And go
forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom, which
is by the entry of the east gate, and proclaim there the words that I
shall tell thee,
24-19:3 And say,
Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem;
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon
this place, the which whosoever heareth, his
ears shall tingle.
24-19:5 They have
built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt
offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor
spake it, neither came it into my mind:
24-20:2 Then
Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in
the high gate of Benjamin, which was by
the house of the LORD.
24-20:5 Moreover
I will deliver all the strength of this city, and all the labours thereof, and
all the precious things thereof, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah
will I give into the hand of their enemies, which
shall spoil them, and take them, and carry them to Babylon.
24-20:16 And let
that man be as the cities which the LORD
overthrew, and repented not: and let him hear the cry in the morning, and the
shouting at noontide;
24-21:1 The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when king
Zedekiah sent unto him Pashur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of
Maaseiah the priest, saying,
24-21:4 Thus
saith the LORD God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are
in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and against
the Chaldeans, which besiege you without the
walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city.
24-21:13 Behold, I am
against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain,
saith the LORD; which say, Who shall come down
against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?
24-22:6 For thus
saith the LORD unto the king’s house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and
the head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and
cities which are not inhabited.
24-22:11 For thus
saith the LORD touching Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not
return thither any more:
24-22:28 Is this
man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no
pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a
land which they know not?
24-23:4 And I
will set up shepherds over them which shall feed
them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be
lacking, saith the LORD.
24-23:7 Therefore,
behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD
liveth, which brought up the children of Israel
out of the land of Egypt;
24-23:8 But, The
LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the
north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall
dwell in their own land.
24-23:27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by
their dreams which they tell every man to his
neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.
24-23:40 And I will
bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.
24-24:2 One
basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first
ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.
24-24:8 And as
the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are
so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah,
and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and
them that dwell in the land of Egypt:
24-25:2 The which Jeremiah the prophet spake unto all the people
of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying,
24-25:13 And I will
bring upon that land all my words which I have
pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the
nations.
24-25:22 And all
the kings of Tyrus, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isles which are beyond the sea,
24-25:26 And all
the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of
the world, which are upon the face of the
earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
24-25:27 Therefore
thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel;
Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the
sword which I will send among you.
24-25:29 For, lo, I
begin to bring evil on the city which is called
by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished:
for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the
LORD of hosts.
24-26:2 Thus
saith the LORD; Stand in the court of the LORD’S house, and speak unto all the
cities of Judah, which come to worship in the
LORD’S house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish
not a word:
24-26:3 If so be
they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me
of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them
because of the evil of their doings.
24-26:4 And thou
shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD; If ye will not hearken to me, to walk
in my law, which I have set before you,
24-26:19 Did
Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear
the LORD, and besought the LORD, and the LORD repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we
procure great evil against our souls.
24-27:3 And send
them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the
Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of
the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto
Zedekiah king of Judah;
24-27:8 And it
shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which
will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not
put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I
punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the
pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
24-27:9 Therefore
hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers,
nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which
speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:
24-27:18 But if
they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now
make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the
house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.
24-27:20 Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he
carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem
to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;
24-28:1 And it
came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of
Judah, in the fourth year, and in the fifth month, that Hananiah
the son of Azur the prophet, which was of
Gibeon, spake unto me in the house of the LORD, in the presence of the priests
and of all the people, saying,
24-28:6 Even the
prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels
of the LORD’S house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into
this place.
24-28:9 The
prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the
word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known,
that the LORD hath truly sent him.
24-29:1 Now these
are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from
Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which
were carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all
the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to
Babylon;
24-29:8 For thus
saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your
diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to
your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.
24-29:19 Because
they have not hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which
I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them;
but ye would not hear, saith the LORD.
24-29:21 Thus saith
the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of
Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which prophesy a
lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of
Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes;
24-29:22 And of
them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon, saying, The LORD make
thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;
24-29:23 Because
they have committed villany in Israel, and have committed adultery with their
neighbours’ wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am
a witness, saith the LORD.
24-29:27 Now
therefore why hast thou not reproved Jeremiah of Anathoth, which maketh himself a prophet to you?
24-31:2 Thus
saith the LORD, The people which were left
of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to
cause him to rest.
24-31:21 Set thee
up waymarks, make thee high heaps: set thine heart toward the highway, even the
way which thou wentest: turn again, O
virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities.
24-31:32 Not
according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I
took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an
husband unto them, saith the LORD:
24-31:35 Thus saith
the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by
day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by
night, which divideth the sea when the waves
thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:
24-32:1 The word
that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of
Judah, which was the eighteenth year of
Nebuchadrezzar.
24-32:2 For then
the king of Babylon’s army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was
shut up in the court of the prison, which was
in the king of Judah’s house.
24-32:8 So
Hanameel mine uncle’s son came to me in the court of the prison according to
the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in
Anathoth, which is in the country of
Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is
thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word
of the LORD.
24-32:11 So I took
the evidence of the purchase, both that which
was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open:
24-32:14 Thus saith
the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of
the purchase, both which is sealed, and this
evidence which is open; and put them in an
earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.
24-32:20 Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt,
even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast
made thee a name, as at this day;
24-32:22 And hast
given them this land, which thou didst swear to
their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;
24-32:32 Because of
all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they,
their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of
Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
24-32:34 But they
set their abominations in the house, which is
called by my name, to defile it.
24-32:35 And they
built the high places of Baal, which are in
the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to
pass through the fire unto Molech; which
I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this
abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
24-33:3 Call unto
me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
24-33:4 For thus
saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and
concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which
are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword;
24-33:9 And it
shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of
the earth, which shall hear all the good that I
do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the
prosperity that I procure unto it.
24-33:10 Thus saith
the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which
ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in
the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without
man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,
24-33:12 Thus saith
the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is
desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be
an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
24-33:14 Behold,
the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to
the house of Judah.
24-33:24 Considerest
thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them
off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation
before them.
24-34:1 The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when Nebuchadnezzar
king of Babylon, and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth of his
dominion, and all the people, fought against Jerusalem, and against all the
cities thereof, saying,
24-34:5 But thou
shalt die in peace: and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings which were before thee, so shall they burn odours for
thee; and they will lament thee, saying, Ah lord! for I have pronounced
the word, saith the LORD.
24-34:8 This
is the word that came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, after that the king
Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people which
were at Jerusalem, to proclaim liberty unto them;
24-34:10 Now when
all the princes, and all the people, which had
entered into the covenant, heard that every one should let his manservant, and
every one his maidservant, go free, that none should serve themselves of them
any more, then they obeyed, and let them go.
24-34:14 At the end
of seven years let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew, which hath been sold unto thee; and when he hath
served thee six years, thou shalt let him go free from thee: but your fathers
hearkened not unto me, neither inclined their ear.
24-34:15 And ye
were now turned, and had done right in my sight, in proclaiming liberty every
man to his neighbour; and ye had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name:
24-34:18 And I will
give the men that have transgressed my covenant, which
have not performed the words of the covenant which
they had made before me, when they cut the calf in twain, and passed between
the parts thereof.
24-34:19 The
princes of Judah, and the princes of Jerusalem, the eunuchs, and the priests,
and all the people of the land, which passed
between the parts of the calf;
24-34:21 And
Zedekiah king of Judah and his princes will I give into the hand of their
enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life, and into the hand of
the king of Babylon’s army, which are gone up
from you.
24-35:1 The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD in the days of
Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,
24-35:4 And I
brought them into the house of the LORD, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan,
the son of Igdaliah, a man of God, which was by
the chamber of the princes, which was above
the chamber of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the door:
24-35:15 I have
sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them,
saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings,
and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye
have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.
24-35:16 Because
the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their
father, which he commanded them; but this people
hath not hearkened unto me:
24-36:3 It may be
that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which
I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way;
that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.
24-36:4 Then
Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of
Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had
spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.
24-36:6 Therefore
go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast
written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the
LORD’S house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of
all Judah that come out of their cities.
24-36:21 So the
king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe’s
chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the
princes which stood beside the king.
24-36:27 Then the
word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and
the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of
Jeremiah, saying,
24-36:28 Take thee
again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first
roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned.
24-36:32 Then took
Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who
wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire:
and there were added besides unto them many like words.
24-37:2 But
neither he, nor his servants, nor the people of the land, did hearken unto the
words of the LORD, which he spake by the prophet
Jeremiah.
24-37:7 Thus
saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say to the king of Judah, that
sent you unto me to enquire of me; Behold, Pharaoh’s army, which is come forth to help you, shall return to Egypt
into their own land.
24-37:19 Where are
now your prophets which prophesied unto you,
saying, The king of Babylon shall not come against you, nor against this land?
24-38:3 Thus
saith the LORD, This city shall surely be given into the hand of the king of
Babylon’s army, which shall take it.
24-38:7 Now when
Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, one of the eunuchs which
was in the king’s house, heard that they had put Jeremiah in the dungeon; the
king then sitting in the gate of Benjamin;
24-38:20 But
Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver thee. Obey, I beseech thee, the
voice of the LORD, which I speak unto thee: so
it shall be well unto thee, and thy soul shall live.
24-39:10 But
Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poor of the people, which had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them
vineyards and fields at the same time.
24-40:1 The word that
came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard
had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among
all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon.
24-40:4 And now,
behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which
were upon thine hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into
Babylon, come; and I will look well unto thee: but if it seem ill unto thee to come
with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before thee:
whither it seemeth good and convenient for thee to go, thither go.
24-40:7 Now when
all the captains of the forces which were in
the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had
made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto
him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of them that
were not carried away captive to Babylon;
24-40:10 As for me,
behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to serve the Chaldeans, which will come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruits,
and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye
have taken.
24-40:15 Then
Johanan the son of Kareah spake to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying, Let me
go, I pray thee, and I will slay Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man shall
know it: wherefore should he slay thee, that all the Jews which are gathered unto thee should be scattered, and
the remnant in Judah perish?
24-41:9 Now the
pit wherein Ishmael had cast all the dead bodies of the men, whom he had slain
because of Gedaliah, was it which Asa the
king had made for fear of Baasha king of Israel: and Ishmael the son of
Nethaniah filled it with them that were slain.
24-41:13 Now it
came to pass, that when all the people which
were with Ishmael saw Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of
the forces that were with him, then they were glad.
24-41:17 And they
departed, and dwelt in the habitation of Chimham, which
is by Bethlehem, to go to enter into Egypt,
24-42:5 Then they
said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do
not even according to all things for the which
the LORD thy God shall send thee to us.
24-42:8 Then
called he Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces which were with him, and all the people from
the least even to the greatest,
24-42:16 Then it
shall come to pass, that the sword, which
ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine,
whereof ye were afraid, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there
ye shall die.
24-42:21 And now
I have this day declared it to you; but ye have not obeyed the voice
of the LORD your God, nor any thing for the which
he hath sent me unto you.
24-43:1 And it
came to pass, that when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking unto all
the people all the words of the LORD their God, for which
the LORD their God had sent him to them, even all these words,
24-43:9 Take
great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the clay in the brickkiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh’s house in
Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;
24-44:1 The word
that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which
dwell in the land of Egypt, which dwell at
Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying,
24-44:3 Because
of their wickedness which they have committed to
provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve
other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers.
24-44:9 Have ye
forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of
Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the
wickedness of your wives, which they have
committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?
24-44:14 So that
none of the remnant of Judah, which are gone
into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, that they
should return into the land of Judah, to the which
they have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return but such as
shall escape.
24-44:15 Then all
the men which knew that their wives had burned
incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude,
even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered
Jeremiah, saying,
24-44:20 Then
Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the
people which had given him that answer,
saying,
24-44:22 So that
the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because
of the abominations which ye have committed;
therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without
an inhabitant, as at this day.

shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole
land.

Josiah king of Judah.

Kedar, and concerning the kingdoms of Hazor, which
Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon shall smite, thus saith the LORD; Arise ye, go

standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen,
prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon.

against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out
mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a
burnt mountain.
24-51:44 And I will
punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed up: and the nations shall not

24-51:59 The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah the son
of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, when he went with Zedekiah the king of Judah

quiet prince.
24-52:2 And he
did that which was evil in the eyes of
the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
24-52:7 Then the
city was broken up, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city
by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which
was by the king’s garden; (now the Chaldeans were by the city
round about:) and they went by the way of the plain.
24-52:12 Now in the
fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which
was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came
Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, which served
the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem,
24-52:19 And the
basons, and the firepans, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the
candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; that which was of gold in gold, and that which was of silver in silver, took the
captain of the guard away.

pillars, one sea, and twelve brasen bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the LORD:

also out of the city an eunuch, which had the
charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king’s
person, which were found in the city; and the

threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the
