01-GENESIS
01-3:11 And
he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree,
whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
01-12:7 And
the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land:
and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who
appeared unto him.
01-14:12 And
they took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son, who dwelt
in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
01-21:7 And
she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that
Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.
01-21:26 And
Abimelech said, I wot not who hath done this
thing: neither didst thou tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.
01-24:15 And
it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of
Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.
01-24:27 And
he said, Blessed be the LORD God of
my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute
my master of his mercy and his truth: I being
in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master’s brethren.
01-27:18 And
he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I; who
art thou, my son?
01-27:32 And
Isaac his father said unto him, Who art thou? And he said, I am thy son, thy firstborn Esau.
01-27:33 And
Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who?
where is he that hath taken venison,
and brought it me, and I have eaten
of all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be blessed.
01-30:2 And
Jacob’s anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said, Am I in God’s stead, who hath
withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?
01-33:5 And
he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those
with thee? And he said, The children which God hath graciously given thy
servant.
01-35:3 And
let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was
with me in the way which I went.
01-36:1 Now
these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.
01-36:19 These
are the sons of Esau, who is Edom,
and these are their dukes.
01-36:20 These
are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon,
and Anah,
01-36:35 And
Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who
smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his
city was Avith.
01-42:30 The
man, who
is the lord of the land, spake roughly to us, and took us for spies of the
country.
01-43:22 And
other money have we brought down in our hands to buy food: we cannot tell who put our money in our sacks.
01-48:8 And
Israel beheld Joseph’s sons, and said, Who are these?
01-48:14 And
Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon
Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.
01-49:9 Judah
is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my
son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old
lion; who shall rouse him up?
01-49:25 Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above,
blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the
womb:
02-2:14 And
he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over
us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared,
and said, Surely this thing is known.
02-3:11 And
Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth
the children of Israel out of Egypt?
02-4:11 And
the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man’s
mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the
seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?
02-4:28 And
Moses told Aaron all the words of the LORD who
had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him.
02-5:2 And
Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know
not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.
02-5:20 And
they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way,
as they came forth from Pharaoh:
02-6:12 And
Moses spake before the LORD, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not
hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who
am of uncircumcised lips?
02-10:8 And
Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve
the LORD your God: but who are they
that shall go?
02-12:27 That
ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of
the LORD’S passover, who passed over the houses
of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered
our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
02-12:40 Now
the sojourning of the children of Israel, who
dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and
thirty years.
02-15:11 Who is like
unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness,
fearful in praises, doing wonders?
02-18:10 And
Jethro said, Blessed be the LORD, who hath delivered you out of the hand of the
Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh, who
hath delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.
02-21:8 If
she please not her master, who hath betrothed
her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange
nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.
02-32:26 Then
Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who
is on the LORD’S side? let him come unto me. And all the sons
of Levi gathered themselves together unto him.
03-5:8 And
he shall bring them unto the priest, who shall
offer that which is for the sin offering first, and wring off his head from his neck,
but shall not divide it asunder:
03-12:7 Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an
atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male
or a female.
03-27:12 And
the priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad: as thou valuest it, who art the
priest, so shall it be.
04-6:21 This
is the law of the Nazarite who hath vowed, and
of his offering unto the LORD for his separation, beside that that his hand shall get: according
to the vow which he vowed, so he must do after the law of his separation.
04-7:2 That
the princes of Israel, heads of the house of their fathers, who were the
princes of the tribes, and were over them that were numbered, offered:
04-9:6 And
there were certain men, who were defiled by the
dead body of a man, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they
came before Moses and before Aaron on that day:
04-11:4 And
the mixt multitude that was among them
fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?
04-11:18 And
say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall
eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore
the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.
04-12:7 My
servant Moses is not so, who is faithful
in all mine house.
04-14:36 And
the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who
returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a
slander upon the land,
04-16:5 And
he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD
will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him
whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.
04-21:26 For
Heshbon was the city of Sihon the
king of the Amorites, who had fought against the
former king of Moab, and taken all his land out of his hand, even unto Arnon.
04-23:10 Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the
fourth part of Israel? Let me die the
death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!
04-24:9 He
couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who
shall stir him up? Blessed is he that
blesseth thee, and cursed is he that
curseth thee.
04-24:23 And
he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who
shall live when God doeth this!
04-25:6 And,
behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a
Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the
congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
04-26:9 And
the sons of Eliab; Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. This is that Dathan and Abiram, which
were famous in the congregation, who strove
against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove
against the LORD:
04-26:47 These
are the families of the sons of Asher
according to those that were numbered of them; who were fifty and three thousand
and four hundred.
04-26:63 These
are they that were numbered by Moses
and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the
children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.
04-27:21 And
he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who
shall ask counsel for him after the
judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his
word they shall come in, both he, and
all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.
04-31:27 And
divide the prey into two parts; between them that took the war upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the
congregation:
05-1:33 Who went in the way before you, to search you out a
place to pitch your tents in, in fire
by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.
05-2:25 This
day will I begin to put the dread of thee and the fear of thee upon the nations
that are under the whole heaven, who shall hear report of thee, and shall tremble, and
be in anguish because of thee.
05-4:7 For
what nation is there so great, who hath God
so nigh unto them, as the LORD our
God is in all things that we call upon him for?
05-4:46 On
this side Jordan, in the valley over against Bethpeor, in the land of Sihon
king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom
Moses and the children of Israel smote, after they were come forth out of
Egypt:
05-5:3 The
LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.
05-5:26 For
who is
there of all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking
out of the midst of the fire, as we have,
and lived?
05-8:15 Who led thee through that great and terrible
wilderness, wherein were fiery
serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there
was no water; who brought thee forth water
out of the rock of flint;
05-8:16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy
fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to
do thee good at thy latter end;
05-9:2 A
people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who
can stand before the children of Anak!
05-21:1 If
one be found slain in the land which
the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it, lying in the field, and it be not known who hath slain him:
05-30:12 It
is not in heaven, that thou shouldest
say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring
it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
05-30:13 Neither
is it beyond the sea, that thou
shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us,
and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
05-33:9 Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not
seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children:
for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.
05-33:26 There is none like unto the God of
Jeshurun, who
rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.
05-33:29 Happy
art thou, O Israel: who is like
unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the
sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and
thou shalt tread upon their high places.
06-9:8 And
they said unto Joshua, We are thy
servants. And Joshua said unto them, Who are ye? and from whence come ye?
06-11:8 And
the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who
smote them, and chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Misrephothmaim, and unto
the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, until they left them none
remaining.
06-12:2 Sihon
king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and
from the middle of the river, and from half Gilead, even unto the river Jabbok,
which is the border of the children
of Ammon;
06-13:12 All
the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants: for these
did Moses smite, and cast them out.
06-15:19 Who answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given
me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper
springs, and the nether springs.
06-17:16 And
the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us: and all the
Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who
are of Bethshean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel.
06-21:10 Which
the children of Aaron, being of the
families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi, had: for theirs
was the first lot.
07-1:1 Now
after the death of Joshua it came to pass, that the children of Israel asked
the LORD, saying, Who shall go up for us against
the Canaanites first, to fight against them?
07-2:7 And
the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the
elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all
the great works of the LORD, that he did for Israel.
07-3:9 And
when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer
to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s
younger brother.
07-3:19 But
he himself turned again from the quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret errand unto thee, O king:
who said, Keep silence. And all that stood by
him went out from him.
07-6:29 And
they said one to another, Who hath done this thing?
And when they enquired and asked, they said, Gideon the son of Joash hath done
this thing.
07-6:35 And
he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh; who
also was gathered after him: and he sent messengers unto Asher, and unto
Zebulun, and unto Naphtali; and they came up to meet them.
07-7:1 Then
Jerubbaal, who is Gideon, and all the people that were with him, rose up early, and pitched beside the well of Harod:
so that the host of the Midianites were on the north side of them, by the hill
of Moreh, in the valley.
07-8:34 And
the children of Israel remembered not the LORD their God, who had delivered them out of the hands of all their
enemies on every side:
07-9:28 And
Gaal the son of Ebed said, Who is Abimelech, and who is Shechem,
that we should serve him? is not he the son of Jerubbaal? and Zebul his
officer? serve the men of Hamor the father of Shechem: for why should we serve
him?
07-9:38 Then
said Zebul unto him, Where is now thy
mouth, wherewith thou saidst, Who is Abimelech, that we should serve him? is not this the people that thou hast
despised? go out, I pray now, and fight with them.
07-11:39 And
it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according
to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom in
Israel,
07-15:6 Then
the Philistines said, Who hath done this? And
they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite, because he had taken his
wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt
her and her father with fire.
07-17:4 Yet
he restored the money unto his mother; and his mother took two hundred shekels of silver, and gave them to the
founder, who made thereof a graven image and a
molten image: and they were in the house of Micah.
07-17:5 And
the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and
consecrated one of his sons, who became his
priest.
07-17:7 And
there was a young man out of Bethlehemjudah of the family of Judah, who was a Levite,
and he sojourned there.
07-18:2 And
the children of Dan sent of their family five men from their coasts, men of
valour, from Zorah, and from Eshtaol, to spy out the land, and to search it;
and they said unto them, Go, search the land: who
when they came to mount Ephraim, to the house of Micah, they lodged there.
07-18:3 When
they were by the house of Micah, they
knew the voice of the young man the Levite: and they turned in thither, and
said unto him, Who brought thee hither? and what
makest thou in this place? and what
hast thou here?
07-18:29 And
they called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born unto Israel: howbeit the name of the city
was Laish at the first.
07-19:1 And
it came to pass in those days, when there
was no king in Israel, that there was a certain Levite sojourning on the
side of mount Ephraim, who took to him a
concubine out of Bethlehemjudah.
07-21:5 And
the children of Israel said, Who is there among all the tribes of Israel
that came not up with the congregation unto the LORD? For they had made a great
oath concerning him that came not up to the LORD to Mizpeh, saying, He shall
surely be put to death.
08-2:3 And
she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was
to light on a part of the field belonging
unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech.
08-2:20 And
Naomi said unto her daughter in law, Blessed be he of the LORD, who hath not left
off his kindness to the living and to the dead. And Naomi said unto her, The
man is near of kin unto us, one of
our next kinsmen.
08-3:9 And
he said, Who art
thou? And she answered, I am Ruth
thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman.
08-3:16 And
when she came to her mother in law, she said, Who
art thou, my daughter? And she told
her all that the man had done to her.
09-2:25 If
one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin
against the LORD, who shall intreat for him?
Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the
LORD would slay them.
09-4:8 Woe
unto us! who shall deliver us out of the hand of
these mighty Gods? these are the Gods
that smote the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wilderness.
09-6:20 And
the men of Bethshemesh said, Who is able to
stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us?
09-10:12 And
one of the same place answered and said, But who
is their father? Therefore it became
a proverb, Is Saul also among the
prophets?
09-10:19 And
ye have this day rejected your God, who himself
saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said
unto him, Nay, but set a king over
us. Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes, and by
your thousands.
09-11:12 And
the people said unto Samuel, Who is he that said, Shall Saul reign over
us? bring the men, that we may put them to death.
09-14:17 Then
said Saul unto the people that were with
him, Number now, and see who is gone from us.
And when they had numbered, behold, Jonathan and his armourbearer were not there.
09-14:45 And
the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who
hath wrought this great salvation in Israel? God forbid: as the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to
the ground; for he hath wrought with God this day. So the people rescued
Jonathan, that he died not.
09-16:16 Let
our lord now command thy servants, which
are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall
come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play
with his hand, and thou shalt be well.
09-17:25 And
the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel
is he come up: and it shall be, that the
man who killeth him, the king will enrich him
with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father’s house
free in Israel.
09-17:26 And
David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man
that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this
uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
09-18:18 And
David said unto Saul, Who am I? and what is my
life, or my father’s family in
Israel, that I should be son in law to the king?
09-20:10 Then
said David to Jonathan, Who shall tell me? or
what if thy father answer thee
roughly?
09-22:14 Then
Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as
David, which is the king’s son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is
honourable in thine house?
09-23:22 Go,
I pray you, prepare yet, and know and see his place where his haunt is, and who
hath seen him there: for it is told me that
he dealeth very subtilly.
09-25:10 And
Nabal answered David’s servants, and said, Who is David? and who
is the son of Jesse? there be many
servants now a days that break away every man from his master.
09-26:6 Then
answered David and said to Ahimelech the Hittite, and to Abishai the son of
Zeruiah, brother to Joab, saying, Who will go
down with me to Saul to the camp? And Abishai said, I will go down with thee.
09-26:9 And
David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who
can stretch forth his hand against the LORD’S anointed, and be guiltless?
09-26:14 And
David cried to the people, and to Abner the son of Ner, saying, Answerest thou
not, Abner? Then Abner answered and said, Who art thou that criest to the king?
09-26:15 And
David said to Abner, Art not thou a valiant man? and who is like to thee in
Israel? wherefore then hast thou not kept thy lord the king? for there came one
of the people in to destroy the king thy lord.
09-30:23 Then
said David, Ye shall not do so, my brethren, with that which the LORD hath
given us, who hath preserved us, and delivered
the company that came against us into our hand.
09-30:24 For
who will hearken unto you in this matter? but as
his part is that goeth down to the
battle, so shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they
shall part alike.
10-1:8 And
he said unto me, Who art thou? And I answered him, I am
an Amalekite.
10-1:24 Ye
daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed
you in scarlet, with other delights, who put on ornaments of gold upon your apparel.
10-4:5 And
the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went, and came about the
heat of the day to the house of Ishbosheth, who
lay on a bed at noon.
10-4:9 And
David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the
Beerothite, and said unto them, As the
LORD liveth, who hath redeemed my soul out of
all adversity,
10-4:10 When
one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good
tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, who
thought that I would have given him a
reward for his tidings:
10-6:20 Then
David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out
to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the
handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth
himself!
10-7:18 Then
went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O
Lord GOD? and what is my house, that
thou hast brought me hitherto?
10-10:18 And
the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew the men of seven hundred chariots of the Syrians, and forty
thousand horsemen, and smote Shobach the captain of their host, who died there.
10-11:21 Who smote Abimelech the son of Jerubbesheth? did not a
woman cast a piece of a millstone upon him from the wall, that he died in
Thebez? why went ye nigh the wall? then say thou, Thy servant Uriah the Hittite
is dead also.
10-12:22 And
he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether
GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?
10-16:10 And
the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him
curse, because the LORD hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so?
10-22:4 I
will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved
from mine enemies.
10-22:32 For
who is God,
save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?
10-23:1 Now
these be the last words of David.
David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God
of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,
10-23:20 And
Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts, he slew two lionlike men of
Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow:
11-1:20 And
thou, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel are upon thee, that thou shouldest tell them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after
him.
11-1:27 Is
this thing done by my lord the king, and thou hast not shewed it unto thy servant, who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after
him?
11-2:24 Now
therefore, as the LORD liveth, which
hath established me, and set me on the throne of David my father, and who hath made me an house, as he promised, Adonijah
shall be put to death this day.
11-2:32 And
the LORD shall return his blood upon his own head, who
fell upon two men more righteous and better than he, and slew them with the
sword, my father David not knowing thereof,
to wit, Abner the son of Ner, captain of the host of Israel, and Amasa the
son of Jether, captain of the host of Judah.
11-3:9 Give
therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may
discern between good and bad: for who is able to
judge this thy so great a people?
11-8:23 And
he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no
God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who
keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all
their heart:
11-8:24 Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that
thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.
11-8:50 And
forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions
wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before
them who carried them captive, that they may
have compassion on them:
11-9:9 And
they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of
Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and
served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.
11-12:2 And
it came to pass, when Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who
was yet in Egypt, heard of it, (for
he was fled from the presence of king Solomon, and Jeroboam dwelt in Egypt;)
11-12:9 And
he said unto them, What counsel give ye that we may answer this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke which thy
father did put upon us lighter?
11-12:18 Then
king Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was over the tribute; and all Israel stoned
him with stones, that he died. Therefore king Rehoboam made speed to get him up
to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.
11-13:26 And
when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the
man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of
the LORD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn
him, and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake unto him.
11-14:8 And
rent the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it thee: and yet thou hast not been as my servant
David, who kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do that only which was right in mine eyes;
11-14:14 Moreover
the LORD shall raise him up a king over Israel, who
shall cut off the house of Jeroboam that day: but what? even now.
11-14:16 And
he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did sin, and who
made Israel to sin.
11-17:1 And
Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto
Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel
liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but
according to my word.
11-19:19 So
he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing
with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by
him, and cast his mantle upon him.
11-20:14 And
Ahab said, By whom? And he said, Thus saith the LORD, Even by the young men of the princes of the provinces. Then he said,
Who shall order the battle? And he answered,
Thou.
11-21:11 And
the men of his city, even the elders
and the nobles who were the inhabitants in his
city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them, and
as it was written in the letters
which she had sent unto them.
11-22:20 And
the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he
may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another
said on that manner.
11-22:52 And
he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and
in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin:
12-4:5 So
she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the
vessels to her; and she poured out.
12-7:17 And
the king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the
gate: and the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died, as the man of God
had said, who spake when the king came down to
him.
12-8:14 So
he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who
said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou shouldest surely recover.
12-9:31 And
as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had
Zimri peace, who slew his master?
12-9:32 And
he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who
is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.
12-10:9 And
it came to pass in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all
the people, Ye be righteous: behold,
I conspired against my master, and slew him: but who
slew all these?
12-10:13 Jehu
met with the brethren of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, Who are ye?
And they answered, We are the
brethren of Ahaziah; and we go down to salute the children of the king and the
children of the queen.
12-10:29 Howbeit
from the sins of Jeroboam the son of
Nebat, who made Israel to sin, Jehu departed not
from after them, to wit, the golden
calves that were in Bethel, and that were in Dan.
12-13:6 Nevertheless
they departed not from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, who made Israel sin, but walked therein: and there remained the grove also in Samaria.)
12-13:11 And
he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD; he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of
Nebat, who made Israel sin: but he walked therein.
12-14:24 And
he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD: he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of
Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
12-15:9 And
he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of
Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to
sin.
12-15:18 And
he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the
son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
12-15:24 And
he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
12-15:28 And
he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
12-17:36 But
the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of
Egypt with great power and a stretched out arm, him shall ye fear, and him
shall ye worship, and to him shall ye do sacrifice.
12-18:35 Who are they
among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of
mine hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of mine hand?
12-23:15 Moreover
the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which Jeroboam the
son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made,
both that altar and the high place he brake down, and burned the high place, and stamped it small to powder, and burned the grove.
12-23:16 And
as Josiah turned himself, he spied the sepulchres that were there in the mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the
sepulchres, and burned them upon the
altar, and polluted it, according to the word of the LORD which the man of God
proclaimed, who proclaimed these words.
13-2:7 And
the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who
transgressed in the thing accursed.
13-2:22 And
Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty
cities in the land of Gilead.
13-4:22 And
Jokim, and the men of Chozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who
had the dominion in Moab, and Jashubilehem. And these are ancient things.
13-5:8 And
Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baalmeon:
13-5:10 And
in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who
fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east land of Gilead.
13-6:39 And
his brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand, even Asaph the son of Berachiah, the son
of Shimea,
13-7:24 (And
his daughter was Sherah, who built Bethhoron the nether, and the upper, and
Uzzensherah.)
13-7:31 And
the sons of Beriah; Heber, and Malchiel, who is the father of Birzavith.
13-8:12 The
sons of Elpaal; Eber, and Misham, and Shamed, who
built Ono, and Lod, with the towns thereof:
13-8:13 Beriah
also, and Shema, who were heads of the fathers of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who drove away the inhabitants of Gath:
13-9:1 So
all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they were written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, who were
carried away to Babylon for their transgression.
13-9:18 Who hitherto waited
in the king’s gate eastward: they were
porters in the companies of the children of Levi.
13-9:31 And
Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the
firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the set office over the things that were
made in the pans.
13-9:33 And
these are the singers, chief of the
fathers of the Levites, who remaining in the chambers were free: for they were employed in that work day and night.
13-11:10 These
also are the chief of the mighty men
whom David had, who strengthened themselves with
him in his kingdom, and with all
Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.
13-11:12 And
after him was Eleazar the son of
Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighties.
13-11:22 Benaiah
the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done many acts; he slew two lionlike men of
Moab: also he went down and slew a lion in a pit in a snowy day.
13-12:18 Then
the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth
thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.
13-16:41 And
with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the
LORD, because his mercy endureth for
ever;
13-17:16 And
David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who
am I, O LORD God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me
hitherto?
13-19:7 So
they hired thirty and two thousand chariots, and the king of Maachah and his
people; who came and pitched before Medeba. And
the children of Ammon gathered themselves together from their cities, and came
to battle.
13-21:16 And
David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of the LORD stand between the earth
and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem.
Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their
faces.
13-22:9 Behold,
a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man
of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his
name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his
days.
13-24:28 Of
Mahli came Eleazar, who had no sons.
13-25:1 Moreover
David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of
Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should
prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the
workmen according to their service was:
13-25:3 Of
Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun; Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and
Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to
praise the LORD.
13-25:9 Now
the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph: the second to Gedaliah, who with his brethren and sons were twelve:
13-27:6 This
is that Benaiah, who was mighty among the thirty, and above the thirty: and in his course was Ammizabad his son.
13-29:5 The
gold for things of gold, and the
silver for things of silver, and for
all manner of work to be made by the
hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his
service this day unto the LORD?
13-29:14 But
who am I,
and what is my people, that we should
be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we
given thee.
14-1:10 Give
me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people:
for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?
14-2:6 But
who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven
and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an
house, save only to burn sacrifice before him?
14-2:12 Huram
said moreover, Blessed be the LORD
God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who
hath given to David the king a wise son, endued with prudence and
understanding, that might build an house for the LORD, and an house for his
kingdom.
14-6:4 And
he said, Blessed be the LORD God of
Israel, who hath with his hands fulfilled that which he spake with his mouth to my
father David, saying,
14-8:8 But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the
children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until
this day.
14-10:2 And
it came to pass, when Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who
was in Egypt, whither he had fled
from the presence of Solomon the king, heard it, that Jeroboam returned out of Egypt.
14-17:16 And
next him was Amasiah the son of
Zichri, who willingly offered himself unto the
LORD; and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valour.
14-18:19 And
the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab king of
Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one spake saying after
this manner, and another saying after that manner.
14-19:6 And
said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the
LORD, who is
with you in the judgment.
14-20:7 Art not thou our God, who didst
drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it
to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?
14-20:34 Now
the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Jehu the son
of Hanani, who is mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel.
14-20:35 And
after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of
Israel, who did very wickedly:
14-22:9 And
he sought Ahaziah: and they caught him, (for he was hid in Samaria,) and
brought him to Jehu: and when they had slain him, they buried him: Because,
said they, he is the son of
Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his
heart. So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom.
14-26:1 Then
all the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king
in the room of his father Amaziah.
14-26:5 And
he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had
understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God
made him to prosper.
14-28:5 Wherefore
the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they
smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also
delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who
smote him with a great slaughter.
14-30:7 And
be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against
the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as ye
see.
14-32:4 So
there was gathered much people together, who
stopped all the fountains, and the brook that ran through the midst of the
land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water?
14-32:14 Who was there among
all the gods of those nations that my fathers utterly destroyed, that could
deliver his people out of mine hand, that your God should be able to deliver
you out of mine hand?
14-32:31 Howbeit
in the business of the ambassadors of
the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to
enquire of the wonder that was done in
the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.
14-34:26 And
as for the king of Judah, who sent you to
enquire of the LORD, so shall ye say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of
Israel concerning the words which
thou hast heard;
14-35:21 But
he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of
Judah? I come not against thee this
day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for God commanded me to make
haste: forbear thee from meddling with God,
who is with
me, that he destroy thee not.
14-36:13 And
he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who
had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart
from turning unto the LORD God of Israel.
14-36:17 Therefore
he brought upon them the king of the Chaldees, who
slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no
compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that stooped for age: he
gave them all into his hand.
14-36:23 Thus
saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of
heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem,
which is in Judah. Who is there among
you of all his people? The LORD his God be
with him, and let him go up.
15-1:3 Who is there among
you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem,
which is in Judah, and build the
house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the
God,) which is in Jerusalem.
15-3:12 But
many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen
the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes,
wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy:
15-5:3 At
the same time came to them Tatnai, governor on this side the river, and
Shetharboznai, and their companions, and said thus unto them, Who hath commanded you to build this house, and to
make up this wall?
15-5:9 Then
asked we those elders, and said unto
them thus, Who commanded you to build this
house, and to make up these walls?
15-5:12 But
after that our fathers had provoked the God of heaven unto wrath, he gave them
into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, the Chaldean, who destroyed this house, and carried the people away
into Babylon.
16-1:11 O
Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy
servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who
desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and
grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.
16-3:3 But
the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build, who
also laid the beams thereof, and set
up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof.
16-6:10 Afterward
I came unto the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who was shut
up; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple,
and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to slay thee; yea,
in the night will they come to slay thee.
16-6:11 And
I said, Should such a man as I flee? and who is there, that, being as I am, would go
into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.
16-7:7 Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah,
Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The
number, I say, of the men of the
people of Israel was this;
16-9:7 Thou
art the LORD the God, who didst choose Abram, and broughtest him forth out of
Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham;
16-9:27 Therefore
thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who
vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou
heardest them from heaven; and
according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.
16-9:32 Now
therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the
trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our
princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on
all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.
16-13:26 Did
not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was
there no king like him, who was beloved of his
God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did
outlandish women cause to sin.
17-2:6 Who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the
captivity which had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom
Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.
17-2:15 Now
when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in
unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s chamberlain, the
keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all
them that looked upon her.
17-2:22 And
the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it unto Esther the queen; and Esther
certified the king thereof in
Mordecai’s name.
17-4:11 All
the king’s servants, and the people of the king’s provinces, do know, that
whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court,
who is not called, there is one law of his to put him
to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre,
that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these
thirty days.
17-4:14 For
if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from
another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
17-6:2 And
it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the
king’s chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who
sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.
17-6:4 And
the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the
king’s house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he
had prepared for him.
17-7:5 Then
the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his
heart to do so?
17-7:9 And
Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the
gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the
house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.
18-3:8 Let
them curse it that curse the day, who are ready
to raise up their mourning.
18-3:15 Or
with princes that had gold, who filled their
houses with silver:
18-4:2 If we assay to commune with thee, wilt
thou be grieved? but who can withhold himself
from speaking?
18-4:7 Remember,
I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off?
18-5:10 Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters
upon the fields:
18-9:4 He is wise in heart, and mighty in
strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered?
18-9:12 Behold,
he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What doest thou?
18-9:19 If
I speak of strength, lo, he is strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time to plead?
18-9:24 The
earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges
thereof; if not, where, and who is he?
18-11:10 If
he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who
can hinder him?
18-12:3 But
I have understanding as well as you; I am
not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not
such things as these?
18-12:4 I
am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just
upright man is laughed to scorn.
18-12:9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD
hath wrought this?
18-13:19 Who is he that will plead with me? for now, if I
hold my tongue, I shall give up the ghost.
18-14:4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.
18-16:9 He
teareth me in his wrath, who hateth me: he gnasheth upon me with his teeth;
mine enemy sharpeneth his eyes upon me.
18-17:3 Lay
down now, put me in a surety with thee; who is he that will strike hands with me?
18-17:15 And
where is now my hope? as for my hope,
who shall see it?
18-21:31 Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him what he hath done?
18-23:13 But
he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.
18-24:25 And
if it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and
make my speech nothing worth?
18-26:14 Lo,
these are parts of his ways: but how
little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
18-27:2 As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and
the Almighty, who
hath vexed my soul;
18-30:4 Who cut up mallows by the bushes, and juniper roots for their meat.
18-34:7 What
man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?
18-34:13 Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?
18-34:29 When
he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble?
and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:
18-35:10 But
none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;
18-35:11 Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and
maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
18-36:22 Behold,
God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like
him?
18-36:23 Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?
18-38:2 Who is this
that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
18-38:5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest?
or who hath stretched the line upon it?
18-38:6 Whereupon
are the foundations thereof fastened? or who
laid the corner stone thereof;
18-38:8 Or
who shut
up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as
if it had issued out of the womb?
18-38:25 Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of
waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
18-38:28 Hath
the rain a father? or who hath begotten the
drops of dew?
18-38:29 Out
of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
18-38:36 Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?
18-38:37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,
18-38:41 Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young
ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.
18-39:5 Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass?
18-41:10 None
is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?
18-41:11 Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole
heaven is mine.
18-41:13 Who can discover the face of his garment? or who
can come to him with his double
bridle?
18-41:14 Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about.
18-41:33 Upon
earth there is not his like, who is made without
fear.
18-42:3 Who is he
that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I
understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
19-4:6 There be many that say, Who will shew us any
good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.
19-6:5 For
in death there is no remembrance of
thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
19-8:1 O
LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy
name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory
above the heavens.
19-12:4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our
lips are our own: who is lord
over us?
19-14:4 Have
all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who
eat up my people as they eat bread,
and call not upon the LORD.
19-15:1 LORD,
who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
19-16:7 I
will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel:
my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
19-17:9 From
the wicked that oppress me, from my
deadly enemies, who
compass me about.
19-18:title To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of the
LORD, who spake unto the LORD the words of this
song in the day that the LORD
delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: And
he said,
19-18:3 I
will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved
from mine enemies.
19-18:31 For
who is God
save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?
19-19:12 Who can understand his
errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
19-24:3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
19-24:4 He
that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who
hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
19-24:8 Who is this
King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
19-24:10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
19-34:title A
Psalm of David, when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed.
19-35:10 All
my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the
poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him
that spoileth him?
19-37:7 Rest
in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
19-39:6 Surely
every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he
heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.
19-42:11 Why
art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou
in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
19-43:5 Why
art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in
God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
19-53:4 Have
the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up
my people as they eat bread: they
have not called upon God.
19-59:7 Behold,
they belch out with their mouth: swords are
in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?
19-60:9 Who will bring me into
the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
19-64:3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
19-64:5 They
encourage themselves in an evil
matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
19-65:5 By terrible things in righteousness wilt
thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the
earth, and of them that are afar off upon
the sea:
19-68:19 Blessed
be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our
salvation. Selah.
19-71:19 Thy
righteousness also, O God, is very
high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like
unto thee!
19-72:18 Blessed
be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.
19-73:12 Behold,
these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
19-76:7 Thou,
even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand
in thy sight when once thou art angry?
19-77:13 Thy
way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great
a God as our God?
19-78:6 That
the generation to come might know them,
even the children which should be
born; who should
arise and declare them to their
children:
19-83:12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God
in possession.
19-84:6 Who passing
through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
19-89:6 For
who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD?
who among
the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?
19-89:8 O
LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about
thee?
19-90:11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according
to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
19-94:16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who
will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
19-103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
19-103:4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender
mercies;
19-103:5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed
like the eagle’s.
19-104:2 Who coverest thyself
with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
19-104:3 Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:
19-104:4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming
fire:
19-104:5 Who laid
the foundations of the earth, that it
should not be removed for ever.
19-105:17 He
sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold
for a servant:
19-106:2 Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can
shew forth all his praise?
19-108:10 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
19-108:11 Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go
forth with our hosts?
19-113:5 Who is like
unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high,
19-113:6 Who humbleth himself
to behold the things that are in
heaven, and in the earth!
19-119:1 ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who
walk in the law of the LORD.
19-119:38 Stablish
thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear.
19-124:1 A
Song of degrees of David. If it had not
been the LORD who was on our side, now may
Israel say;
19-124:2 If
it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
19-124:6 Blessed
be the LORD, who
hath not given us as a prey to their
teeth.
19-124:8 Our
help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
19-130:3 If
thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who
shall stand?
19-135:8 Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and
beast.
19-135:9 Who sent
tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all
his servants.
19-135:10 Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;
19-136:4 To
him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy
endureth for ever.
19-136:23 Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever:
19-136:25 Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever.
19-137:7 Remember,
O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who
said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.
19-137:8 O
daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed;
happy shall he be, that rewardeth
thee as thou hast served us.
19-140:4 Keep
me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.
19-144:2 My
goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
19-144:10 It is he that giveth salvation unto
kings: who delivereth David his servant from the
hurtful sword.
19-147:8 Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.
19-147:17 He
casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can
stand before his cold?
20-2:13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the
ways of darkness;
20-2:14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
20-9:15 To
call passengers who go right on their ways:
20-18:14 The
spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?
20-20:6 Most
men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?
20-20:9 Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure
from my sin?
20-20:25 It is a snare to the man who devoureth
that which is holy, and after vows to
make enquiry.
20-21:24 Proud
and haughty scorner is his name, who
dealeth in proud wrath.
20-23:29 Who hath woe? who hath
sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who
hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of
eyes?
20-24:22 For
their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who
knoweth the ruin of them both?
20-26:18 As
a mad man who
casteth firebrands, arrows, and death,
20-27:4 Wrath
is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able
to stand before envy?
20-30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
20-30:9 Lest
I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the
LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
20-31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
21-2:19 And
who knoweth whether he shall be a wise man or a fool? yet shall he have rule
over all my labour wherein I have laboured, and wherein I have shewed myself
wise under the sun. This is also
vanity.
21-2:25 For
who can eat, or who
else can hasten hereunto, more than
I?
21-3:21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and
the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?
21-3:22 Wherefore
I perceive that there is nothing
better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?
21-4:3 Yea,
better is he than both they, which
hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil
work that is done under the sun.
21-4:13 Better
is a poor and a wise child than an
old and foolish king, who will no more be
admonished.
21-6:12 For
who knoweth what is good for man in this life,
all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the
sun?
21-7:13 Consider
the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made
crooked?
21-7:24 That
which is far off, and exceeding deep, who can
find it out?
21-8:1 Who is as
the wise man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? a man’s
wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed.
21-8:4 Where
the word of a king is, there is power:
and who may say unto him, What doest thou?
21-8:7 For
he knoweth not that which shall be: for who can
tell him when it shall be?
21-8:10 And
so I saw the wicked buried, who had come and
gone from the place of the holy, and they were forgotten in the city where they
had so done: this is also vanity.
21-10:14 A
fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be
after him, who can tell him?
21-11:5 As
thou knowest not what is the way of
the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with
child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who
maketh all.
21-12:7 Then
shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto
God who gave it.
22-3:6 Who is this
that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh
and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant?
22-6:10 Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as
the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible
as an army with banners?
22-8:2 I
would lead thee, and bring thee into
my mother’s house, who would instruct me: I would cause thee to drink
of spiced wine of the juice of my pomegranate.
22-8:5 Who is this
that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up
under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought
thee forth that bare thee.
23-1:12 When
ye come to appear before me, who hath required
this at your hand, to tread my courts?
23-6:8 Also
I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
23-14:6 He
who smote the people in wrath with a continual
stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.
23-14:27 For
the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall
disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
23-23:8 Who hath taken this counsel against Tyre, the crowning
city, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honourable of the earth?
23-24:18 And
it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into
the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the
snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth
do shake.
23-27:4 Fury
is not in me: who would set the briers and thorns
against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together.
23-29:15 Woe
unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works
are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and
who knoweth us?
23-29:22 Therefore
thus saith the LORD, who redeemed Abraham,
concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall
his face now wax pale.
23-33:14 The
sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
23-36:20 Who are they among
all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand,
that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?
23-37:2 And
he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of
the priests covered with sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.
23-40:12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his
hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the
earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a
balance?
23-40:13 Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him?
23-40:14 With
whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of
judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?
23-40:26 Lift
up your eyes on high, and behold who hath
created these things, that bringeth
out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his
might, for that he is strong in
power; not one faileth.
23-41:2 Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before
him, and made him rule over kings? he
gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow.
23-41:4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the
first, and with the last; I am he.
23-41:26 Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may
know? and beforetime, that we may say, He
is righteous? yea, there is none
that sheweth, yea, there is none that
declareth, yea, there is none that
heareth your words.
23-42:19 Who is blind,
but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that
I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect,
and blind as the Lord’s servant?
23-42:23 Who among you will give ear to this? who will
hearken and hear for the time to come?
23-42:24 Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers?
did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in
his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.
23-43:9 Let
all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former
things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or
let them hear, and say, It is truth.
23-43:13 Yea,
before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?
23-44:7 And
who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and
set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things
that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them.
23-44:10 Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?
23-45:21 Tell
ye, and bring them near; yea, let
them take counsel together: who hath declared
this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just
God and a Saviour; there is none
beside me.
23-49:21 Then
shalt thou say in thine heart, Who hath begotten
me these, seeing I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and
removing to and fro? and who hath brought up
these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been?
23-50:8 He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine
adversary? let him come near to me.
23-50:9 Behold,
the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the
moth shall eat them up.
23-50:10 Who is among
you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him
trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.
23-51:12 I,
even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid
of a man that shall die, and of the
son of man which shall be made as grass;
23-51:19 These
two things are come unto thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and
destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort thee?
23-53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm
of the LORD revealed?
23-53:8 He
was taken from prison and from judgment: and who
shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living:
for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
23-60:8 Who are these
that fly as a cloud, and as the doves
to their windows?
23-63:1 Who is this
that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel,
travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness,
mighty to save.
23-65:16 That
he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless
himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by
the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they
are hid from mine eyes.
23-66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who
hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for
as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
24-1:16 And
I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto
other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.
24-2:24 A
wild ass used to the wilderness, that snuffeth
up the wind at her pleasure; in her occasion who
can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her
month they shall find her.
24-9:12 Who is the
wise man, that may understand this? and who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD hath
spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth and is burned up like a wilderness, that
none passeth through?
24-10:7 Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to
thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.
24-15:5 For
who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee? or who
shall go aside to ask how thou doest?
24-17:9 The
heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
24-18:13 Therefore
thus saith the LORD; Ask ye now among the heathen, who
hath heard such things: the virgin of Israel hath done a very horrible thing.
24-20:1 Now
Pashur the son of Immer the priest, who was also chief governor in the house of
the LORD, heard that Jeremiah prophesied these things.
24-20:15 Cursed
be the man who
brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee; making him
very glad.
24-21:13 Behold,
I am against thee, O inhabitant of
the valley, and rock of the plain,
saith the LORD; which say, Who shall come down
against us? or who shall enter into our
habitations?
24-23:18 For
who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and
hath perceived and heard his word? who hath
marked his word, and heard it?
24-26:20 And
there was also a man that prophesied in the name of the LORD, Urijah the son of
Shemaiah of Kirjathjearim, who prophesied
against this city and against this land according to all the words of Jeremiah:
24-26:23 And
they fetched forth Urijah out of Egypt, and brought him unto Jehoiakim the
king; who slew him with the sword, and cast his
dead body into the graves of the common people.
24-30:21 And
their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the
midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto
me: for who is
this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD.
24-36:32 Then
took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of
Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of
Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in
the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.
24-46:7 Who is this that cometh up as a flood, whose waters
are moved as the rivers?
24-49:4 Wherefore
gloriest thou in the valleys, thy flowing valley, O backsliding daughter? that
trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come unto me?
24-49:19 Behold,
he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation
of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a
chosen man, that I may appoint over
her? for who is
like me? and who will appoint me the time?
and who is
that shepherd that will stand before me?
24-50:44 Behold,
he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan unto the habitation of
the strong: but I will make them suddenly run away from her: and who is a
chosen man, that I may appoint over
her? for who is
like me? and who will appoint me the time?
and who is
that shepherd that will stand before me?
24-52:25 He
took also out of the city an eunuch, which had the charge of the men of war;
and seven men of them that were near the king’s person, which were found in the
city; and the principal scribe of the host, who
mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land,
that were found in the midst of the city.
25-2:13 What
thing shall I take to witness for thee? what thing shall I liken to thee, O
daughter of Jerusalem? what shall I equal to thee, that I may comfort thee, O
virgin daughter of Zion? for thy breach is
great like the sea: who can heal thee?
25-3:37 Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?
26-10:7 And
one cherub stretched forth his hand
from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into
the hands of him that was clothed
with linen: who took it, and went out.
27-1:10 And
the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink: for why
should he see your faces worse liking than the children which are of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king.
27-2:23 I
thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who
hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired
of thee: for thou hast now made known
unto us the king’s matter.
27-3:15 Now
if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp,
sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and
worship the image which I have made; well:
but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a
burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out
of my hands?
27-3:28 Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said,
Blessed be the God of Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel,
and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s
word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god,
except their own God.
27-6:27 He
delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in
earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power
of the lions.
28-3:1 Then
said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD
toward the children of Israel, who look to other
gods, and love flagons of wine.
28-7:4 They
are all adulterers, as an oven heated
by the baker, who
ceaseth from raising after he hath kneaded the dough, until it be leavened.
28-14:9 Who is wise,
and he shall understand these things? prudent,
and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors
shall fall therein.
29-2:11 And
the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?
29-2:14 Who knoweth if he
will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?
30-1:1 The
words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of
Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and
in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the
earthquake.
30-3:8 The
lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord
GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?
30-3:10 For
they know not to do right, saith the LORD, who
store up violence and robbery in their palaces.
30-5:7 Ye
who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off
righteousness in the earth,
31-1:3 The
pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of
the rock, whose habitation is high;
that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down
to the ground?
32-3:9 Who can tell if God
will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?
33-3:2 Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their
flesh from off their bones;
33-3:3 Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their
skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for
the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.
33-5:8 And
the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as
a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of
sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth
down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
33-6:9 The
LORD’S voice crieth unto the city, and the
man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.
33-7:18 Who is a God
like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of
the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he
delighteth in mercy.
34-1:6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury
is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.
34-3:7 And
it shall come to pass, that all they that
look upon thee shall flee from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters
for thee?
35-2:5 Yea
also, because he transgresseth by wine, he
is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who
enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as
death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth
unto him all people:
36-3:18 I
will gather them that are sorrowful
for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was
a burden.
37-2:3 Who is left
among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of
it as nothing?
38-4:7 Who art thou,
O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou
shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
38-4:10 For
who hath despised the day of small things? for
they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to
and fro through the whole earth.
39-1:10 Who is there even
among you that would shut the doors for
nought? neither do ye kindle fire on
mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts,
neither will I accept an offering at your hand.
39-3:2 But
who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’
sope:
40-1:16 And
Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
40-3:7 But
when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said
unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath
warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
40-10:2 Now
the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his
brother;
40-10:4 Simon
the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also
betrayed him.
40-10:11 And
into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who
in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
40-12:48 But
he answered and said unto him that told him, Who
is my mother? and who are my brethren?
40-13:9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
40-13:43 Then
shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
40-13:46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went
and sold all that he had, and bought it.
40-18:1 At
the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who
is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
40-19:25 When
his disciples heard it, they were
exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be
saved?
40-21:10 And
when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?
40-21:23 And
when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the
people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou
these things? and who gave thee this authority?
40-24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord
hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
40-25:14 For
the kingdom of heaven is as a man
travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto
them his goods.
40-26:3 Then
assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the
people, unto the palace of the high priest, who
was called Caiaphas,
40-26:68 Saying,
Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that
smote thee?
40-27:57 When
the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus’ disciple:
41-1:19 And
when he had gone a little farther thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who
also were in the ship mending their nets.
41-1:24 Saying,
Let us alone; what have we to do with
thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
41-2:7 Why
doth this man thus speak blasphemies?
who can forgive sins but God only?
41-3:33 And
he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or
my brethren?
41-4:16 And
these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with
gladness;
41-5:3 Who had his dwelling
among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
41-5:30 And
Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned
him about in the press, and said, Who touched my
clothes?
41-5:31 And
his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and
sayest thou, Who touched me?
41-9:34 But
they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the
greatest.
41-10:26 And
they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?
41-11:28 And
say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
41-13:34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a
far journey, who left his house, and gave
authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter
to watch.
41-15:7 And
there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made
insurrection with him, who had committed murder
in the insurrection.
41-15:21 And
they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by,
coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his
cross.
41-15:41 (Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and
ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto
Jerusalem.
41-16:3 And
they said among themselves, Who shall roll us
away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?
42-1:36 And,
behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and
this is the sixth month with her, who was called
barren.
42-3:7 Then
said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of
vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the
wrath to come?
42-4:34 Saying,
Let us alone; what have we to do with
thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art
thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou
art; the Holy One of God.
42-5:12 And
it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst
make me clean.
42-5:21 And
the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who
is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can
forgive sins, but God alone?
42-7:2 And
a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear unto
him, was sick, and ready to die.
42-7:39 Now
when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it,
he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have
known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a
sinner.
42-7:49 And
they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
42-8:45 And
Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied,
Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and
press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
42-9:9 And
Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is
this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.
42-9:31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which
he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
42-10:22 All
things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
42-10:29 But
he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who
is my neighbour?
42-12:14 And
he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a
divider over you?
42-12:42 And
the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and
wise steward, whom his lord shall
make ruler over his household, to give them
their portion of meat in due season?
42-16:11 If
therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
42-16:12 And
if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?
42-16:14 And
the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all
these things: and they derided him.
42-18:26 And
they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?
42-18:30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present
time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
42-19:3 And
he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not
for the press, because he was little of stature.
42-20:2 And
spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority?
42-22:64 And
when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him,
saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?
42-23:7 And
as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to
Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that
time.
42-23:19 (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder,
was cast into prison.)
42-23:51 (The
same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who
also himself waited for the kingdom of God.
43-1:19 And
this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from
Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?
43-1:22 Then
said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may
give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
43-1:27 He
it is, who coming after me is preferred before
me, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose.
43-4:10 Jesus
answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou
wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
43-5:13 And
he that was healed wist not who it was: for
Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.
43-6:60 Many
therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who
can hear it?
43-6:64 But
there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
43-7:20 The
people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who
goeth about to kill thee?
43-7:49 But
this people who knoweth not the law are cursed.
43-8:25 Then
said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus
saith unto them, Even the same that I
said unto you from the beginning.
43-9:2 And
his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did
sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
43-9:19 And
they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who
ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?
43-9:21 But
by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who
hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for
himself.
43-9:36 He
answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might
believe on him?
43-12:34 The
people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever:
and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who
is this Son of man?
43-12:38 That
the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm
of the Lord been revealed?
43-13:11 For
he knew who should betray him; therefore said
he, Ye are not all clean.
43-13:24 Simon
Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who
it should be of whom he spake.
43-13:25 He
then lying on Jesus’ breast saith unto him, Lord, who
is it?
43-18:18 And
the servants and officers stood there, who had
made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter
stood with them, and warmed himself.
43-21:12 Jesus
saith unto them, Come and dine. And
none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art
thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
44-1:23 And
they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who
was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
44-3:3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple
asked an alms.
44-4:25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why
did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
44-4:36 And
Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed
Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,
44-5:36 For
before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a
number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who
was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to
nought.
44-7:27 But
he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?
44-7:35 This
Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a
ruler and a judge? the same did God send to
be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him
in the bush.
44-7:38 This
is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to
him in the mount Sina, and with our
fathers: who received the lively oracles to give
unto us:
44-7:46 Who found favour before God, and desired to find a
tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
44-7:53 Who have received the law by the disposition of
angels, and have not kept it.
44-8:15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that
they might receive the Holy Ghost:
44-8:27 And
he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority
under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had
the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
44-8:33 In
his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who
shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
44-9:5 And
he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said,
I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard
for thee to kick against the pricks.
44-10:32 Send
therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged
in the house of one Simon a tanner by
the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak
unto thee.
44-10:38 How
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were
oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
44-10:41 Not
to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who
did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
44-11:14 Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy
house shall be saved.
44-11:17 Forasmuch
then as God gave them the like gift as he
did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus
Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?
44-11:23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was
glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto
the Lord.
44-13:7 Which
was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear
the word of God.
44-13:9 Then
Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,
44-13:31 And
he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem,
who are his witnesses unto the people.
44-13:43 Now
when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes
followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to
them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
44-14:8 And
there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from
his mother’s womb, who never had walked:
44-14:9 The
same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding
him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
44-14:16 Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in
their own ways.
44-14:19 And
there came thither certain Jews from
Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people,
and, having stoned Paul, drew him out
of the city, supposing he had been dead.
44-15:17 That
the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom
my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all
these things.
44-15:27 We
have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall
also tell you the same things by
mouth.
44-15:38 But
Paul thought not good to take him with them, who
departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
44-16:24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into
the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
44-17:10 And
the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither
went into the synagogue of the Jews.
44-18:27 And
when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the
disciples to receive him: who, when he was come,
helped them much which had believed through grace:
44-19:15 And
the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
44-21:4 And
finding disciples, we tarried there seven days: who
said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go up to Jerusalem.
44-21:32 Who immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran
down unto them: and when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, they left
beating of Paul.
44-21:33 Then
the chief captain came near, and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and demanded who he was, and what he had done.
44-21:37 And
as Paul was to be led into the castle, he said unto the chief captain, May I
speak unto thee? Who said, Canst thou speak
Greek?
44-22:8 And
I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto
me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.
44-23:18 So
he took him, and brought him to the
chief captain, and said, Paul the prisoner called me unto him, and prayed me to bring this young man unto thee, who hath something to say unto thee.
44-23:33 Who, when they came to Caesarea, and delivered the
epistle to the governor, presented Paul also before him.
44-24:1 And
after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.
44-24:6 Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom
we took, and would have judged according to our law.
44-24:19 Who ought to have been here before thee, and object,
if they had ought against me.
44-26:15 And
I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am
Jesus whom thou persecutest.
44-28:7 In
the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name
was Publius; who received us, and lodged us
three days courteously.
44-28:10 Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we
departed, they laded us with such
things as were necessary.
44-28:18 Who, when they had examined me, would have let me go, because there was no cause of
death in me.
45-1:18 For
the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and
unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in
unrighteousness;
45-1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and
worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
45-1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which
commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure
in them that do them.
45-2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
45-2:7 To
them who by patient continuance in well doing
seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
45-2:27 And
shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the
law?
45-3:5 But
if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
45-3:19 Now
we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be
stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
45-4:12 And
the father of circumcision to them who are not
of the circumcision only, but who also walk in
the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.
45-4:16 Therefore
it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the
promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law,
but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who
is the father of us all,
45-4:17 (As
it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he
believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things
which be not as though they were.
45-4:18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might
become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall
thy seed be.
45-4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised
again for our justification.
45-5:14 Nevertheless
death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the
similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the
figure of him that was to come.
45-7:4 Wherefore,
my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye
should be married to another, even to
him who is raised from the dead, that we should
bring forth fruit unto God.
45-7:24 O
wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me
from the body of this death?
45-8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation
to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not
after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
45-8:4 That
the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who
walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
45-8:20 For
the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the
same in hope,
45-8:28 And
we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
45-8:31 What
shall we then say to these things? If God be
for us, who can be against us?
45-8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
45-8:34 Who is he
that condemneth? It is Christ that
died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is
even at the right hand of God, who also maketh
intercession for us.
45-8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or
persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
45-9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the
giving of the law, and the service of
God, and the promises;
45-9:5 Whose
are the fathers, and of whom as
concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
45-9:19 Thou
wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who
hath resisted his will?
45-9:20 Nay
but, O man, who art thou that repliest against
God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
45-10:6 But
the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine
heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is,
to bring Christ down from above:)
45-10:7 Or,
Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to
bring up Christ again from the dead.)
45-10:16 But
they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
45-11:4 But
what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand
men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
45-11:34 For
who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
45-11:35 Or
who hath first given to him, and it shall be
recompensed unto him again?
45-14:2 For
one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who
is weak, eateth herbs.
45-14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to
his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is
able to make him stand.
45-14:20 For
meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil
for that man who eateth with offence.
45-16:4 Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto
whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.
45-16:5 Likewise
greet the church that is in their
house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is
the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.
45-16:6 Greet
Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.
45-16:7 Salute
Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.
45-16:12 Salute
Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord.
Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord.
45-16:22 I
Tertius, who wrote this epistle, salute you in the Lord.
46-1:8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our
Lord Jesus Christ.
46-1:30 But
of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is
made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
46-2:16 For
who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may
instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
46-3:5 Who then is Paul, and who
is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye
believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
46-4:5 Therefore
judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who
both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest
the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
46-4:7 For
who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now
if thou didst receive it, why dost
thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
46-4:17 For
this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who
is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who
shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach
every where in every church.
46-6:4 If
then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
46-9:7 Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit
thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not
of the milk of the flock?
46-10:13 There
hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who
will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation
also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
46-14:8 For
if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who
shall prepare himself to the battle?
47-1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may
be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we
ourselves are comforted of God.
47-1:10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth
deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
47-1:19 For
the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached
among you by us, even by me and
Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.
47-1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the
Spirit in our hearts.
47-2:2 For
if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me
glad, but the same which is made sorry by me?
47-2:16 To
the one we are the savour of death
unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient
for these things?
47-3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament;
not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit
giveth life.
47-4:4 In
whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not,
lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who
is the image of God, should shine unto them.
47-4:6 For
God, who commanded the light to shine out of
darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give
the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
47-5:5 Now
he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us
the earnest of the Spirit.
47-5:18 And
all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and
hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
47-5:21 For
he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the
righteousness of God in him.
47-8:10 And
herein I give my advice: for this is
expedient for you, who have begun before, not
only to do, but also to be forward a year ago.
47-8:19 And
not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us
with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and
declaration of your ready mind:
47-10:1 Now
I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am
base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
47-11:29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?
48-1:1 Paul,
an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the
Father, who raised him from the dead;)
48-1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver
us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
48-1:15 But
when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s
womb, and called me by his grace,
48-2:3 But
neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek,
was compelled to be circumcised:
48-2:4 And
that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who
came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they
might bring us into bondage:
48-2:6 But
of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever
they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man’s person:) for they who seemed to be
somewhat in conference added nothing to me:
48-2:9 And
when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be
pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and
Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.
48-2:15 We
who are Jews
by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,
48-2:20 I
am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in
me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son
of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
48-3:1 O
foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that
ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been
evidently set forth, crucified among you?
48-4:23 But
he who was
of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
48-5:7 Ye
did run well; who did hinder you that ye should
not obey the truth?
48-6:10 As
we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of
the household of faith.
48-6:13 For
neither they themselves who are circumcised keep
the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
49-1:3 Blessed
be the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all
spiritual blessings in heavenly places in
Christ:
49-1:11 In
whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the
purpose of him who worketh all things after the
counsel of his own will:
49-1:12 That
we should be to the praise of his glory, who first
trusted in Christ.
49-1:19 And
what is the exceeding greatness of
his power to us-ward who believe, according to
the working of his mighty power,
49-2:1 And
you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins:
49-2:4 But
God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love
wherewith he loved us,
49-2:11 Wherefore
remember, that ye being in time past
Gentiles in the flesh, who are called
Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by
hands;
49-2:13 But
now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far
off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
49-2:14 For
he is our peace, who hath made both one, and
hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
49-3:8 Unto
me, who am less than the least of all saints, is
this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable
riches of Christ;
49-3:9 And
to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which
from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who
created all things by Jesus Christ:
49-4:6 One
God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
49-4:19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto
lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
49-5:5 For
this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the
kingdom of Christ and of God.
50-2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery
to be equal with God:
50-2:20 For
I have no man likeminded, who will naturally
care for your state.
50-3:19 Whose
end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their
shame, who mind earthly things.)
50-3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be
fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is
able even to subdue all things unto himself.
51-1:7 As
ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who
is for you a faithful minister of Christ;
51-1:8 Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
51-1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and
hath translated us into the kingdom
of his dear Son:
51-1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn
of every creature:
51-1:18 And
he is the head of the body, the church: who is
the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
51-1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up
that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s
sake, which is the church:
51-2:12 Buried
with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
51-3:4 When
Christ, who
is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
51-4:7 All
my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister
and fellowservant in the Lord:
51-4:9 With
Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is
one of you. They shall make known
unto you all things which are done here.
51-4:11 And
Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the
circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers
unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me.
51-4:12 Epaphras,
who is one
of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for
you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
52-2:12 That
ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you
unto his kingdom and glory.
52-2:15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own
prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to
all men:
52-4:8 He
therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who
hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
52-5:8 But
let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on
the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
52-5:10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should
live together with him.
52-5:24 Faithful
is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
53-1:7 And
to you who are troubled rest with us, when the
Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
53-1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction
from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
53-2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is
called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of
God, shewing himself that he is God.
53-2:7 For
the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who
now letteth will let, until he be
taken out of the way.
53-2:12 That
they all might be damned who believed not the
truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
53-3:3 But
the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you,
and keep you from evil.
54-1:12 And
I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled
me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
54-1:13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and
injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
54-2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto
the knowledge of the truth.
54-2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due
time.
54-4:10 For
therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living
God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of
those that believe.
54-5:17 Let
the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
54-6:13 I
give thee charge in the sight of God, who
quickeneth all things, and before Christ
Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good
confession;
54-6:15 Which
in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of
kings, and Lord of lords;
54-6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which
no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
54-6:17 Charge
them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in
uncertain riches, but in the living God, who
giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
55-1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according
to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the
world began,
55-1:10 But
is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and
immortality to light through the gospel:
55-2:2 And
the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit
thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach
others also.
55-2:4 No
man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who
hath chosen him to be a soldier.
55-2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the
resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
55-2:26 And
that they may recover themselves out
of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive
by him at his will.
55-4:1 I
charge thee therefore before God, and
the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick
and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
56-1:11 Whose
mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole
houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake.
56-2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from
all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
58-1:1 God,
who at sundry times and in divers manners spake
in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
58-1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all
things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat
down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
58-1:7 And
of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels
spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
58-1:14 Are
they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
58-2:9 But
we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than
the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he
by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
58-2:11 For
both he that sanctifieth and they who are
sanctified are all of one: for which
cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
58-2:15 And
deliver them who through fear of death were all
their lifetime subject to bondage.
58-3:2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also
Moses was faithful in all his house.
58-3:3 For
this man was counted worthy of more
glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath
builded the house hath more honour than the house.
58-5:2 Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them
that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.
58-5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up
prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able
to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
58-5:14 But
strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have
their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
58-6:4 For
it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the
heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
58-6:12 That
ye be not slothful, but followers of them who
through faith and patience inherit the promises.
58-6:18 That
by two immutable things, in which it was impossible
for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who
have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
58-7:1 For
this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the
kings, and blessed him;
58-7:5 And
verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who
receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the
people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out
of the loins of Abraham:
58-7:9 And
as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth
tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
58-7:16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment,
but after the power of an endless life.
58-7:26 For
such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from
sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
58-7:27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer
up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he
did once, when he offered up himself.
58-7:28 For
the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath,
which was since the law, maketh the
Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
58-8:1 Now
of the things which we have spoken this
is the sum: We have such an high priest, who
is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
58-8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly
things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the
tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou
make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
58-9:14 How
much more shall the blood of Christ, who through
the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience
from dead works to serve the living God?
58-10:29 Of
how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath
counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy
thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
58-10:39 But
we are not of them who draw back unto perdition;
but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
58-11:11 Through
faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered
of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
58-11:27 By
faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as
seeing him who is invisible.
58-11:33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought
righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
58-12:2 Looking
unto Jesus the author and finisher of our
faith; who for the joy that was set before
him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand
of the throne of God.
58-12:16 Lest
there be any fornicator, or profane
person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold
his birthright.
58-12:25 See
that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
58-13:7 Remember
them which have the rule over you, who have
spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
59-3:13 Who is a
wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good
conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
59-4:12 There
is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to
destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
59-5:4 Behold,
the hire of the labourers who have reaped down
your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them
which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
59-5:10 Take,
my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in
the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
60-1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto
salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
60-1:10 Of
which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
60-1:17 And
if ye call on the Father, who without respect of
persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning
here in fear:
60-1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of
the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
60-1:21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from
the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
60-2:9 But
ye are a chosen generation, a royal
priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the
praises of him who hath called you out of
darkness into his marvellous light:
60-2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
60-2:23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he
suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself
to him that judgeth righteously:
60-2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the
tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose
stripes ye were healed.
60-3:5 For
after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who
trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own
husbands:
60-3:13 And
who is he
that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
60-3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of
God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
60-4:5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge
the quick and the dead.
60-5:1 The
elders which are among you I exhort, who am also
an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the
glory that shall be revealed:
60-5:10 But
the God of all grace, who hath called us unto
his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make
you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
61-2:1 But
there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false
teachers among you, who privily shall bring in
damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon
themselves swift destruction.
61-2:15 Which
have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
61-2:18 For
when they speak great swelling words of
vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
62-2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the
Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
62-3:12 Not
as Cain, who
was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him?
Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.
62-4:21 And
this commandment have we from him, That he who
loveth God love his brother also.
62-5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that
believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
63-1:7 For
many deceivers are entered into the world, who
confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an
antichrist.
64-1:9 I
wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who
loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.
65-1:4 For
there are certain men crept in unawares, who
were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace
of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord
Jesus Christ.
65-1:18 How
that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
65-1:19 These
be they who separate themselves, sensual, having
not the Spirit.
66-1:2 Who
bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of
all things that he saw.
66-1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the
faithful witness, and the first
begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that
loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
66-1:9 I John, who
also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and
patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word
of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
66-2:1 Unto the angel of the church of
Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right
hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven
golden candlesticks;
66-2:13 I know thy works and where thou
dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and
