01-GENESIS
01-6:3 And the LORD
said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh:
yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty
years.
01-7:4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the
earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made
will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
01-8:10 And he
stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent
forth the dove out of the ark;
01-8:12 And he
stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove;
which returned not again unto him any more.
01-15:16 But in the
fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the
Amorites is not yet full.
01-18:22 And the
men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.
01-18:29 And he
spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure
there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for
forty’s sake.
01-18:32 And he
said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet
but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not
destroy it for ten’s sake.
01-20:12 And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the
daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my
wife.
01-21:26 And Abimelech
said, I wot not who hath done this thing: neither didst thou tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.
01-25:6 But unto
the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent
them away from Isaac his son, while he yet
lived, eastward, unto the east country.
01-27:30 And it
came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob was
yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac
his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting.
01-29:7 And he said,
Lo, it is yet high day, neither is it time
that the cattle should be gathered together: water ye the sheep, and go and feed
them.
01-29:9 And while
he yet spake with them, Rachel came with her
father’s sheep: for she kept them.
01-29:27 Fulfil her
week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve
with me yet seven other years.
01-29:30 And he
went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served
with him yet seven other years.
01-31:14 And Rachel
and Leah answered and said unto him, Is there yet
any portion or inheritance for us in our father’s house?
01-31:30 And now, though
thou wouldest needs be gone, because thou sore longedst after thy father’s
house, yet wherefore hast thou stolen my
gods?
01-37:5 And
Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.
01-37:8 And his
brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed
have dominion over us? And they hated him yet
the more for his dreams, and for his words.
01-37:9 And he
dreamed yet another dream, and told it his
brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun
and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.
01-38:5 And she yet again conceived, and bare a son; and called his
name Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bare him.
01-40:13 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine
head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh’s cup into
his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.
01-40:19 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head
from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh
from off thee.
01-40:23 Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but
forgat him.
01-43:6 And
Israel said, Wherefore dealt ye so ill with me, as to tell the
man whether ye had yet a brother?
01-43:7 And they
said, The man asked us straitly of our state, and of our kindred, saying, Is
your father yet alive? have ye another brother?
and we told him according to the tenor of these words: could we certainly know
that he would say, Bring your brother down?
01-43:27 And he
asked them of their welfare, and said, Is your father well, the old
man of whom ye spake? Is he yet alive?
01-43:28 And they
answered, Thy servant our father is in good health, he is yet alive. And they bowed down their heads, and made
obeisance.
01-44:4 And when
they were gone out of the city, and not yet
far off, Joseph said unto his steward, Up, follow after the men; and when
thou dost overtake them, say unto them, Wherefore have ye rewarded evil for
good?
01-44:14 And Judah
and his brethren came to Joseph’s house; for he was yet there: and they fell before him on the ground.
01-45:3 And
Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for
they were troubled at his presence.
01-45:6 For these
two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there
shall neither be earing nor harvest.
01-45:11 And there
will I nourish thee; for yet there are five
years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to
poverty.
01-45:26 And told
him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is
governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob’s heart fainted, for he
believed them not.
01-45:28 And Israel
said, It is enough; Joseph my son is yet
alive: I will go and see him before I die.
01-46:30 And Israel
said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou art
yet alive.
01-48:7 And as
for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the
way, when yet there was but a little way
to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same is
Bethlehem.
02-4:18 And Moses
went and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I
pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see
whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to
Moses, Go in peace.
02-5:11 Go ye,
get you straw where ye can find it: yet not
ought of your work shall be diminished.
02-5:18 Go
therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.
02-9:17 As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou
wilt not let them go?
02-9:30 But as
for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet
fear the LORD God.
02-9:34 And when
Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
02-10:7 And
Pharaoh’s servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us?
let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed?
02-11:1 And the
LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one
plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go
hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence
altogether.
02-21:22 If men
strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and
yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely
punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay
as the judges determine.
02-32:32 Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not,
blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.
02-33:12 And Moses
said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou
hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet
thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my
sight.
02-36:3 And they
received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought
for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And
they brought yet unto him free offerings every
morning.
03-5:17 And if a
soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the
commandments of the LORD; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.
03-11:7 And the
swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet
he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.
03-11:21 Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing
that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap
withal upon the earth;
03-13:40 And the
man whose hair is fallen off his head, he is bald; yet is he clean.
03-13:41 And he
that hath his hair fallen off from the part of his head toward his face, he is
forehead bald: yet is he clean.
03-25:22 And ye
shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of
old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the
old store.
03-25:51 If there
be yet many years behind, according
unto them he shall give again the price of his redemption out of the money that
he was bought for.
03-26:18 And if ye
will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then
I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
03-26:24 Then will
I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet
seven times for your sins.
03-26:44 And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their
enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them
utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God.
04-9:10 Speak
unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity
shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the LORD.
04-11:33 And while
the flesh was yet between their teeth,
ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and
the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.
04-19:13 Whosoever
toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself,
defileth the tabernacle of the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from
Israel: because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be
unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.
04-22:15 And Balak
sent yet again princes, more, and more honourable
than they.
04-22:20 And God
came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee,
rise up, and go with them; but yet the
word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do.
04-30:16 These are
the statutes, which the LORD commanded Moses, between a man and his wife,
between the father and his daughter, being yet
in her youth in her father’s house.
04-32:14 And,
behold, ye are risen up in your fathers’ stead, an increase of sinful men, to
augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward
Israel.
04-32:15 For if ye
turn away from after him, he will yet again
leave them in the wilderness; and ye shall destroy all this people.
05-1:32 Yet in this thing ye did not believe the LORD your
God,
05-9:29 Yet they are thy people and thine inheritance,
which thou broughtest out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched out arm.
05-12:9 For ye
are not as yet come to the rest and to the
inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you.
05-14:8 And the
swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth
not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh,
nor touch their dead carcase.
05-20:6 And what
man is he that hath planted a vineyard, and hath not yet eaten of it? let him also go and return
unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man eat of it.
05-22:17 And, lo,
he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy
daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens
of my daughter’s virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the
elders of the city.
05-29:4 Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive,
and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.
05-31:27 For I know
thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet
alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much
more after my death?
05-32:52 Yet thou shalt see the land before thee; but
thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel.
06-3:4 Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about
two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way
by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore.
06-13:1 Now
Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou
art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.
06-13:2 This is
the land that yet remaineth: all the borders
of the Philistines, and all Geshuri,
06-14:11 As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the
day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my
strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.
06-17:12 Yet the children of Manasseh could not drive out the
inhabitants of those cities; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.
06-17:13 Yet it came to pass, when the children of Israel were
waxen strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute; but did not utterly
drive them out.
06-18:2 And there
remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance.
07-1:35 But the
Amorites would dwell in mount Heres in Aijalon, and in Shaalbim: yet the hand of the house of Joseph prevailed, so that
they became tributaries.
07-2:10 And also
all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another
generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet
the works which he had done for Israel.
07-2:17 And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they
went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned
quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments
of the LORD; but they did not so.
07-6:24 Then
Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovahshalom: unto
this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
07-6:31 And Joash
said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal? will ye save him?
he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning: if he be a god, let him plead
for himself, because one hath cast down his altar.
07-7:4 And the
LORD said unto Gideon, The people are yet
too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee
there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with
thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This
shall not go with thee, the same shall not go.
07-8:4 And
Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over, he, and the three hundred men
that were with him, faint, yet pursuing them.
07-8:20 And he
said unto Jether his firstborn, Up, and slay them. But the youth drew
not his sword: for he feared, because he was yet
a youth.
07-9:5 And he
went unto his father’s house at Ophrah, and slew his brethren the sons of
Jerubbaal, being threescore and ten persons, upon one stone:
notwithstanding yet Jotham the youngest son of
Jerubbaal was left; for he hid himself.
07-10:13 Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods:
wherefore I will deliver you no more.
07-15:7 And
Samson said unto them, Though ye have done this, yet
will I be avenged of you, and after that I will cease.
07-17:4 Yet he restored the money unto his mother; and his
mother took two hundred shekels of silver, and gave them to the founder,
who made thereof a graven image and a molten image: and they were in the house
of Micah.
07-19:19 Yet there is both straw and provender for our asses;
and there is bread and wine also for me, and for thy handmaid, and for the
young man which is with thy servants: there is no want of any
thing.
07-20:28 And Phinehas,
the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, stood before it in those days,) saying,
Shall I yet again go out to battle against the
children of Benjamin my brother, or shall I cease? And the LORD said, Go up;
for to morrow I will deliver them into thine hand.
07-21:14 And
Benjamin came again at that time; and they gave them wives which they had saved
alive of the women of Jabeshgilead: and yet so
they sufficed them not.
08-1:11 And Naomi
said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be
your husbands?
09-3:6 And the
LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose
and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And he
answered, I called not, my son; lie down again.
09-3:7 Now
Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was
the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him.
09-8:9 Now
therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet
protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall
reign over them.
09-10:22 Therefore
they enquired of the LORD further, if the man should yet
come thither. And the LORD answered, Behold, he hath hid himself among the
stuff.
09-12:20 And Samuel
said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve
the LORD with all your heart;
09-13:7 And some
of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul,
he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people
followed him trembling.
09-13:21 Yet they had a file for the mattocks, and for the
coulters, and for the forks, and for the axes, and to sharpen the goads.
09-15:30 Then he
said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I
pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with
me, that I may worship the LORD thy God.
09-16:11 And Samuel
said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth
yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the
sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down
till he come hither.
09-18:29 And Saul
was yet the more afraid of David; and Saul
became David’s enemy continually.
09-20:14 And thou
shalt not only while yet I live shew me the
kindness of the LORD, that I die not:
09-23:4 Then
David enquired of the LORD yet again. And the
LORD answered him and said, Arise, go down to Keilah: for I will deliver the
Philistines into thine hand.
09-23:22 Go, I pray
you, prepare yet, and know and see his place
where his haunt is, and who hath seen him there: for it is told me that
he dealeth very subtilly.
09-24:11 Moreover,
my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand: for in that I cut
off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there
is neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned
against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take
it.
09-25:29 Yet a man is risen to pursue thee, and to seek thy
soul: but the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the
LORD thy God; and the souls of thine enemies, them shall he sling out, as
out of the middle of a sling.
10-1:9 He said
unto me again, Stand, I pray thee, upon me, and slay me: for anguish is come
upon me, because my life is yet whole in
me.
10-3:35 And when all
the people came to cause David to eat meat while it was yet day, David sware, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I
taste bread, or ought else, till the sun be down.
10-5:13 And David
took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come
from Hebron: and there were yet sons and
daughters born to David.
10-5:22 And the
Philistines came up yet again, and spread
themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
10-6:22 And I
will yet be more vile than thus, and will be
base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of
them shall I be had in honour.
10-7:19 And this
was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord GOD;
but thou hast spoken also of thy servant’s house for a great while to come. And
is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD?
10-9:1 And
David said, Is there yet any that is left of the
house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?
10-9:3 And the
king said, Is there not yet any of the
house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto
the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame
on his feet.
10-12:18 And it
came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David
feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the
child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he
would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him
that the child is dead?
10-12:22 And he
said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and
wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that
the child may live?
10-14:14 For we
must needs die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be
gathered up again; neither doth God respect any person: yet doth he devise means, that his banished be not
expelled from him.
10-18:12 And the
man said unto Joab, Though I should receive a thousand shekels of silver
in mine hand, yet would I not put forth
mine hand against the king’s son: for in our hearing the king charged thee and
Abishai and Ittai, saying, Beware that none touch the young man Absalom.
10-18:14 Then said
Joab, I may not tarry thus with thee. And he took three darts in his hand, and
thrust them through the heart of Absalom, while he was yet alive in the midst of the oak.
10-18:22 Then said
Ahimaaz the son of Zadok yet again to Joab, But
howsoever, let me, I pray thee, also run after Cushi. And Joab said, Wherefore
wilt thou run, my son, seeing that thou hast no tidings ready?
10-19:28 For all of
my father’s house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet didst thou set thy servant among them that did eat
at thine own table. What right therefore have I yet
to cry any more unto the king?
10-19:35 I am this
day fourscore years old: and can I discern between good and evil? can
thy servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of
singing men and singing women? wherefore then should thy servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?
10-21:15 Moreover
the Philistines had yet war again with Israel;
and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the
Philistines: and David waxed faint.
10-21:20 And there
was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great
stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes,
four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.
10-23:5 Although
my house be not so with God; yet he hath
made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure:
for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make
it not to grow.
11-1:14 Behold,
while thou yet talkest there with the king, I
also will come in after thee, and confirm thy words.
11-1:22 And, lo,
while she yet talked with the king, Nathan the
prophet also came in.
11-1:42 And while
he yet spake, behold, Jonathan the son of
Abiathar the priest came: and Adonijah said unto him, Come in; for thou art a
valiant man, and bringest good tidings.
11-8:28 Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant,
and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the
prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day:
11-8:47 Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land
whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee
in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and
have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;
11-11:17 That Hadad
fled, he and certain Edomites of his father’s servants with him, to go into
Egypt; Hadad being yet a little child.
11-12:2 And it
came to pass, when Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who was yet
in Egypt, heard of it, (for he was fled from the presence of king
Solomon, and Jeroboam dwelt in Egypt;)
11-12:5 And he said
unto them, Depart yet for three days,
then come again to me. And the people departed.
11-12:6 And king
Rehoboam consulted with the old men, that stood before Solomon his father while
he yet lived, and said, How do ye advise that I
may answer this people?
11-14:8 And rent
the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it thee: and yet thou hast not been as my servant David, who
kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do that only
which was right in mine eyes;
11-19:18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel,
all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not
kissed him.
11-20:6 Yet I will send my servants unto thee to morrow about
this time, and they shall search thine house, and the houses of thy servants;
and it shall be, that whatsoever is pleasant in thine eyes, they shall
put it in their hand, and take it away.
11-20:32 So they
girded sackcloth on their loins, and put ropes on their heads, and came
to the king of Israel, and said, Thy servant Benhadad saith, I pray thee, let
me live. And he said, Is he yet alive? he
is my brother.
11-22:8 And the
king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet
one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I
hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And
Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
11-22:43 And he
walked in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing that
which was right in the eyes of the LORD: nevertheless the high places were
not taken away; for the people offered and burnt incense yet in the high places.
12-3:17 For thus
saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye
may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.
12-4:6 And it
came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not
a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
12-6:33 And while
he yet talked with them, behold, the messenger
came down unto him: and he said, Behold, this evil is of the LORD; what
should I wait for the LORD any longer?
12-8:19 Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his
servant’s sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his
children.
12-8:22 Yet Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto
this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time.
12-13:23 And the
LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto
them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not
destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.
12-14:3 And he
did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, yet not like David his father: he did according to all
things as Joash his father did.
12-14:4 Howbeit
the high places were not taken away: as yet the
people did sacrifice and burnt incense on the high places.
12-17:13 Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against
Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from
your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to
all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my
servants the prophets.
12-19:30 And the
remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall yet
again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.
13-12:1 Now these
are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet
kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among
the mighty men, helpers of the war.
13-14:13 And the
Philistines yet again spread themselves abroad
in the valley.
13-17:17 And yet this was a small thing in thine eyes, O God;
for thou hast also spoken of thy servant’s house for a great while to
come, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O
LORD God.
13-20:6 And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great
stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each
hand, and six on each foot: and he also was the son of the giant.
13-26:10 Also
Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons; Simri the chief, (for though he
was not the firstborn, yet his father made him
the chief;)
13-29:1 Furthermore
David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God
hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and
the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the
LORD God.
14-1:11 And God said
to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches,
wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and
knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made
thee king:
14-6:16 Now
therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that
which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my
sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so
that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked
before me.
14-6:26 When the
heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee;
yet if they pray toward this place, and
confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them;
14-6:37 Yet if they bethink themselves in the land
whither they are carried captive, and turn and pray unto thee in the land of
their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done amiss, and have dealt
wickedly;
14-10:6 And king
Rehoboam took counsel with the old men that had stood before Solomon his father
while he yet lived, saying, What counsel give ye
me to return answer to this people?
14-13:6 Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon
the son of David, is risen up, and hath rebelled against his lord.
14-14:7 Therefore
he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls,
and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our
God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So
they built and prospered.
14-16:8 Were not
the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and
horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the
LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.
14-16:12 And Asa in
the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his
disease was exceeding great: yet
in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.
14-18:7 And the
king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet
one man, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he never
prophesied good unto me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of
Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
14-20:33 Howbeit
the high places were not taken away: for as yet
the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers.
14-24:19 Yet he sent prophets to them, to bring them again unto
the LORD; and they testified against them: but they would not give ear.
14-27:2 And he
did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that
his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the LORD. And
the people did yet corruptly.
14-28:22 And in the
time of his distress did he trespass yet more
against the LORD: this is that king Ahaz.
14-30:18 For a
multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar,
and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet
did they eat the passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed
for them, saying, The good LORD pardon every one
14-32:15 Now
therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you on this manner,
neither yet believe him: for no god of any
nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of mine hand, and out of
the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of mine
hand?
14-32:16 And his
servants spake yet more against the LORD
God, and against his servant Hezekiah.
14-33:17 Nevertheless
the people did sacrifice still in the high places, yet
unto the LORD their God only.
14-34:3 For in
the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet
young, he began to seek after the God of David his father: and in the twelfth
year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the
groves, and the carved images, and the molten images.
15-3:6 From the
first day of the seventh month began they to offer burnt offerings unto the
LORD. But the foundation of the temple of the LORD was not yet laid.
15-5:16 Then came
the same Sheshbazzar, and laid the foundation of the house of God which is
in Jerusalem: and since that time even until now hath it been in building,
and yet it is not finished.
15-9:9 For we were
bondmen; yet our God hath not forsaken us in
our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of
Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair
the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
15-9:15 O LORD
God of Israel, thou art righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as it is this day: behold, we are before
thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee because of this.
15-10:2 And
Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answered and said
unto Ezra, We have trespassed against our God, and have taken strange wives of
the people of the land: yet now there is hope in
Israel concerning this thing.
16-1:9 But if
ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were
of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring
them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.
16-2:16 And the
rulers knew not whither I went, or what I did; neither had I as yet told it to the Jews, nor to the priests,
nor to the nobles, nor to the rulers, nor to the rest that did the work.
16-5:5 Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our
brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our
sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters are
brought unto bondage already: neither is it in our power to
redeem them; for other men have our lands and vineyards.
16-5:18 Now that
which was prepared for me daily was one ox and six
choice sheep; also fowls were prepared for me, and once in ten days store of
all sorts of wine: yet for all this required not
I the bread of the governor, because the bondage was heavy upon this people.
16-6:4 Yet they sent unto me four times after this sort; and
I answered them after the same manner.
16-9:19 Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not
in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to
lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light,
and the way wherein they should go.
16-9:28 But after
they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in
the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto thee, thou
heardest them from heaven; and many times didst thou deliver them
according to thy mercies;
16-9:29 And
testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them again unto thy law: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto thy
commandments, but sinned against thy judgments, (which if a man do, he shall
live in them;) and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would
not hear.
16-9:30 Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and
testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the
hand of the people of the lands.
16-13:18 Did not
your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon
this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel
by profaning the sabbath.
16-13:26 Did not
Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet
among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and
God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women
cause to sin.
17-2:20 Esther had
not yet shewed her kindred nor her
people; as Mordecai had charged her: for Esther did the commandment of
Mordecai, like as when she was brought up with him.
17-5:13 Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai
the Jew sitting at the king’s gate.
17-6:14 And while
they were yet talking with him, came the
king’s chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had
prepared.
17-8:3 And
Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell
down at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman
the Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews.
18-1:16 While he was
yet speaking, there came also another, and
said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and
the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
18-1:17 While he was
yet speaking, there came also another, and
said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have
carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and
I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
18-1:18 While he was
yet speaking, there came also another, and
said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest
brother’s house:
18-3:26 I was not
in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet
trouble came.
18-5:7 Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly
upward.
18-6:10 Then
should I yet have comfort; yea, I would harden myself
in sorrow: let him not spare; for I have not concealed the words of the Holy
One.
18-8:7 Though
thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end
should greatly increase.
18-8:12 Whilst it
is yet in his greenness, and not
cut down, it withereth before any other herb.
18-9:15 Whom,
though I were righteous, yet would I not
answer, but I would make supplication to my judge.
18-9:16 If I had
called, and he had answered me; yet would
I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice.
18-9:21 Though
I were perfect, yet would I
not know my soul: I would despise my life.
18-9:31 Yet shalt thou plunge me in the ditch, and mine own
clothes shall abhor me.
18-10:8 Thine
hands have made me and fashioned me together round about; yet thou dost destroy me.
18-10:15 If I be
wicked, woe unto me; and if I be righteous, yet
will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; therefore see
thou mine affliction;
18-13:15 Though he
slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will
maintain mine own ways before him.
18-14:9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and
bring forth boughs like a plant.
18-19:26 And though
after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
18-20:7 Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung:
they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?
18-20:14 Yet his meat in his bowels is turned, it is the
gall of asps within him.
18-21:32 Yet shall he be brought to the grave, and shall remain
in the tomb.
18-22:18 Yet he filled their houses with good things: but
the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
18-24:12 Men groan
from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly to them.
18-24:23 Though it
be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth; yet his eyes are upon their ways.
18-29:5 When the
Almighty was yet with me, when my
children were about me;
18-32:3 Also
against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no
answer, and yet had condemned Job.
18-33:14 For God
speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth
it not.
18-35:14 Although
thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment
is before him; therefore trust thou in him.
18-35:15 But now,
because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:
18-36:2 Suffer me
a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet
to speak on God’s behalf.
19-2:6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
19-37:10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be:
yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
19-37:25 I have
been young, and now am old; yet have I
not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
19-37:36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I
sought him, but he could not be found.
19-40:17 But I am
poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh
upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.
19-42:5 Why art
thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou
in God: for I shall yet praise him for the
help of his countenance.
19-42:8 Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in
the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my
prayer unto the God of my life.
19-42:11 Why art
thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in
God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the
health of my countenance, and my God.
19-43:5 Why art
thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God:
for I shall yet praise him, who is the
health of my countenance, and my God.
19-44:17 All this
is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee,
neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.
19-49:13 This their
way is their folly: yet their posterity
approve their sayings. Selah.
19-55:21 The
words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his
heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were
they drawn swords.
19-68:13 Though ye
have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the
wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.
19-71:14 But I will
hope continually, and will yet praise thee more
and more.
19-78:17 And they
sinned yet more against him by provoking the
most High in the wilderness.
19-78:30 They were
not estranged from their lust. But while their meat was yet in their mouths,
19-78:56 Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and
kept not his testimonies:
19-90:10 The days
of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they
be fourscore years, yet is their
strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
19-94:7 Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall
the God of Jacob regard it.
19-107:41 Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and
maketh him families like a flock.
19-119:51 The proud
have had me greatly in derision: yet have
I not declined from thy law.
19-119:83 For I am
become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do
I not forget thy statutes.
19-119:109 My soul is
continually in my hand: yet do I not forget
thy law.
19-119:110 The wicked
have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from
thy precepts.
19-119:141 I am small
and despised: yet do not I forget thy
precepts.
19-119:143 Trouble and
anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy
commandments are my delights.
19-119:157 Many are my
persecutors and mine enemies; yet do I
not decline from thy testimonies.
19-129:2 Many a
time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet
they have not prevailed against me.
19-138:6 Though the
LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the
lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.
19-139:16 Thine eyes
did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and
in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance
were fashioned, when as yet there was none
of them.
19-141:5 Let the
righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it
shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their
calamities.
20-6:10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little
folding of the hands to sleep:
20-8:26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the
highest part of the dust of the world.
20-9:9 Give instruction
to a wise man, and he will be yet
wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
20-11:24 There is
that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there
is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
20-13:7 There is
that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing:
there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath
great riches.
20-19:7 All the
brethren of the poor do hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him?
he pursueth them with words, yet they
are wanting to him.
20-19:19 A man of
great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again.
20-23:35 They have
stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and
I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.
20-24:33 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little
folding of the hands to sleep:
20-27:22 Though
thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will not his foolishness depart from him.
20-30:12 There
is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
20-30:25 The ants are
a people not strong, yet they prepare their
meat in the summer;
20-30:26 The conies
are but a feeble folk, yet make they
their houses in the rocks;
20-30:27 The
locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of
them by bands;
20-31:15 She riseth
also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to
her household, and a portion to her maidens.
21-1:7 All the
rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not
full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
21-2:3 I sought
in mine heart to give myself unto wine, yet
acquainting mine heart with wisdom; and to lay hold on folly, till I might see
what was that good for the sons of men, which they should do under the
heaven all the days of their life.
21-2:19 And who
knoweth whether he shall be a wise man or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all my labour wherein I
have laboured, and wherein I have shewed myself wise under the sun. This is also
vanity.
21-2:21 For there
is a man whose labour is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in equity; yet to a man that hath not laboured therein shall he
leave it for his portion. This also is vanity and a great evil.
21-4:2 Wherefore
I praised the dead which are already dead more than the living which are yet alive.
21-4:3 Yea,
better is he than both they, which hath not yet
been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.
21-4:8 There is
one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he hath neither child
nor brother: yet is there no end of all his
labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither saith he, For
whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea,
it is a sore travail.
21-6:2 A man to
whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for
his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth
him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity,
and it is an evil disease.
21-6:6 Yea,
though he live a thousand years twice told, yet
hath he seen no good: do not all go to one place?
21-6:7 All the
labour of man is for his mouth, and yet
the appetite is not filled.
21-7:28 Which yet my soul seeketh, but I find not: one man among a
thousand have I found; but a woman among all those have I not found.
21-8:12 Though a
sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that
fear God, which fear before him:
21-8:17 Then I
beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done
under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea farther; though a
wise man think to know it, yet
shall he not be able to find it.
21-9:11 I
returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor
the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to
the wise, nor yet riches to men of
understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill;
but time and chance happeneth to them all.
21-9:15 Now there
was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.
21-11:8 But if a
man live many years, and rejoice in them all; yet
let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that cometh is
vanity.
23-6:13 But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall
return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is
in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the
substance thereof.
23-10:22 For though
thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet
a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with
righteousness.
23-10:25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall
cease, and mine anger in their destruction.
23-10:32 As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake
his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of
Jerusalem.
23-14:1 For the
LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet
choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined
with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.
23-14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides
of the pit.
23-17:6 Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the
shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the
uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof,
saith the LORD God of Israel.
23-26:10 Let favour
be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not
learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will
not behold the majesty of the LORD.
23-27:10 Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and
the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf
feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.
23-28:4 And the
glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a
fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he
that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in
his hand he eateth it up.
23-28:12 To whom he
said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest;
and this is the refreshing: yet they
would not hear.
23-29:2 Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be
heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel.
23-29:17 Is it
not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be
turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a
forest?
23-30:20 And though
the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any
more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:
23-31:2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and
will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the
evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.
23-42:25 Therefore he
hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it
hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew
not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not
to heart.
23-44:1 Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I
have chosen:
23-44:11 Behold,
all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they are of men: let
them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet
they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together.
23-46:7 They bear
him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he
standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto
him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of
his trouble.
23-46:10 Declaring
the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are
not yet done, saying, My counsel shall
stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
23-49:4 Then I
said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in
vain: yet surely my judgment is with
the LORD, and my work with my God.
23-49:5 And now, saith
the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob
again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet
shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.
23-49:15 Can a woman
forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her
womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not
forget thee.
23-53:4 Surely he
hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet
we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
23-53:7 He was
oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened
not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before
her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
23-53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him
to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his
seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall
prosper in his hand.
23-56:8 The Lord
GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet
will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
23-57:10 Thou art
wearied in the greatness of thy way; yet saidst
thou not, There is no hope: thou hast found the life of thine hand; therefore
thou wast not grieved.
23-58:2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways,
as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God:
they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to
God.
23-65:24 And it
shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
24-2:9 Wherefore
I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD, and
with your children’s children will I plead.
24-2:11 Hath a
nation changed their gods, which are yet
no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not
profit.
24-2:21 Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right
seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto
me?
24-2:22 For
though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much sope, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the
Lord GOD.
24-2:32 Can a
maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.
24-2:35 Yet thou sayest, Because I am innocent, surely his
anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with thee, because thou sayest,
I have not sinned.
24-3:1 They
say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man’s,
shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but
thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet
return again to me, saith the LORD.
24-3:8 And I
saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I
had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet
her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
24-3:10 And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not
turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the LORD.
24-4:27 For thus
hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet
will I not make a full end.
24-5:22 Fear ye
not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed
the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot
pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet
can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can
they not pass over it?
24-5:28 They are
waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge
not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet
they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.
24-7:26 Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their
ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.
24-9:20 Yet hear the word of the LORD, O ye women, and let your
ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and every
one her neighbour lamentation.
24-11:8 Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but
walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring
upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do;
but they did them not.
24-12:1 Righteous
art thou, O LORD, when I plead with thee: yet
let me talk with thee of thy judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the
wicked prosper? wherefore are all they happy that deal very
treacherously?
24-14:9 Why
shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O LORD, art in the midst of us, and
we are called by thy name; leave us not.
24-14:15 Therefore
thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I
sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine
shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be
consumed.
24-15:1 Then said
the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this
people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.
24-15:9 She that
hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down
while it was yet day: she hath been ashamed
and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before
their enemies, saith the LORD.
24-15:10 Woe is me,
my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to
the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on
usury; yet every one of them doth curse
me.
24-18:23 Yet, LORD, thou knowest all their counsel against me
to slay me: forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from
thy sight, but let them be overthrown before thee; deal thus with them
in the time of thine anger.
24-22:6 For thus
saith the LORD unto the king’s house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and
the head of Lebanon: yet surely I
will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited.
24-22:24 As I
live, saith the LORD, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the
signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck
thee thence;
24-23:21 I have not
sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not
spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
24-23:32 Behold, I am
against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them,
and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore
they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.
24-25:7 Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the LORD;
that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own
hurt.
24-27:15 For I have
not sent them, saith the LORD, yet they prophesy
a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and
the prophets that prophesy unto you.
24-30:11 For I am
with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all
nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will
I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not
leave thee altogether unpunished.
24-31:5 Thou
shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of
Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things.
24-31:23 Thus saith
the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As yet
they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when
I shall bring again their captivity; The LORD bless thee, O habitation of
justice, and mountain of holiness.
24-31:39 And the
measuring line shall yet go forth over against
it upon the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath.
24-32:33 And they
have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up
early and teaching them, yet they have
not hearkened to receive instruction.
24-33:1 Moreover
the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,
24-34:4 Yet hear the word of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of
Judah; Thus saith the LORD of thee, Thou shalt not die by the sword:
24-36:24 Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither
the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words.
24-37:10 For though
ye had smitten the whole army of the Chaldeans that fight against you, and
there remained but wounded men among them, yet
should they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire.
24-40:5 Now while
he was not yet gone back, he said, Go
back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of
Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among
the people: or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the
captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go.
24-44:28 Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return
out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah,
that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words
shall stand, mine, or theirs.
24-46:28 Fear thou
not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee; for I will
make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not
make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet
will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.
24-48:47 Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the
latter days, saith the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.
24-51:33 For thus
saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like
a threshingfloor, it is time to thresh her: yet
a little while, and the time of her harvest shall come.
24-51:53 Though
Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of
her strength, yet from me shall spoilers
come unto her, saith the LORD.
25-3:32 But
though he cause grief, yet will he have
compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.
25-4:17 As for
us, our eyes as yet failed for our vain help: in
our watching we have watched for a nation that could not save us.
26-2:5 And
they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a
rebellious house,) yet shall know that there
hath been a prophet among them.
26-3:19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness,
nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered
thy soul.
26-6:8 Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that
shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through
the countries.
26-7:13 For the
seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole
multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen
himself in the iniquity of his life.
26-8:6 He said furthermore
unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great
abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off
from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and
thou shalt see greater abominations.
26-8:13 He said also
unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou
shalt see greater abominations that they do.
26-8:15 Then said
he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater
abominations than these.
26-8:18 Therefore
will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity:
and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet
will I not hear them.
26-11:16 Therefore
say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen,
and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where
they shall come.
26-12:13 My net
also will I spread upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare: and I will
bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there.
26-14:22 Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that
shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come
forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be
comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning
all that I have brought upon it.
26-15:5 Behold,
when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less shall it be meet yet for any work, when the fire hath devoured
it, and it is burned?
26-16:28 Thou hast
played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea,
thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet
couldest not be satisfied.
26-16:29 Thou hast
moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith.
26-16:47 Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done
after their abominations: but, as if that were a very little thing, thou
wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways.
26-18:19 Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of
the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath
kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.
26-18:25 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear
now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?
26-18:29 Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is
not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?
26-20:15 Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the
wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them,
flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;
26-20:27 Therefore,
son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the
Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have
blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.
26-23:19 Yet she multiplied her whoredoms, in calling to
remembrance the days of her youth, wherein she had played the harlot in the
land of Egypt.
26-23:44 Yet they went in unto her, as they go in unto a woman
that playeth the harlot: so went they in unto Aholah and unto Aholibah, the
lewd women.
26-24:16 Son of man,
behold, I take away from thee the desire of thine eyes with a stroke: yet neither shalt thou mourn nor weep, neither shall
thy tears run down.
26-26:21 I will
make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no more: though thou be
sought for, yet shalt thou never be found again,
saith the Lord GOD.
26-28:2 Son of
man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart
is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the
seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art
a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:
26-28:9 Wilt thou
yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God?
but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth
thee.
26-29:13 Yet thus saith the Lord GOD; At the end of forty years
will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they were scattered:
26-29:18 Son of
man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service
against Tyrus: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled:
yet had he no wages, nor his army, for Tyrus,
for the service that he had served against it:
26-31:18 To whom
art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet shalt thou be brought down with the trees of Eden
unto the nether parts of the earth: thou shalt lie in the midst of the
uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh
and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD.
26-32:24 There is
Elam and all her multitude round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen
by the sword, which are gone down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the
earth, which caused their terror in the land of the living; yet have they borne their shame with them that go down
to the pit.
26-32:25 They have set
her a bed in the midst of the slain with all her multitude: her graves are round
about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword: though their terror
was caused in the land of the living, yet have
they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit: he is put in the
midst of them that be slain.
26-33:17 Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the
Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.
26-33:20 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye
house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.
26-36:37 Thus saith
the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be
enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase
them with men like a flock.
26-44:11 Yet they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having
charge at the gates of the house, and ministering to the house: they shall
slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand
before them to minister unto them.
27-4:23 And whereas
the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew
the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the
stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in
the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let
his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass
over him;
27-5:17 Then
Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give
thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing
unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.
27-7:12 As
concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.
27-9:13 As it
is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God,
that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.
27-10:9 Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the
voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward
the ground.
27-10:14 Now I am
come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days:
for yet the vision is for many days.
27-11:2 And now
will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far
richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall
stir up all against the realm of Grecia.
27-11:27 And both
these kings’ hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies
at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet
the end shall be at the time appointed.
27-11:33 And they
that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet
they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many
days.
27-11:35 And some
of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make
them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.
27-11:45 And he
shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy
mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none
shall help him.
28-1:4 And the
LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet
a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of
Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.
28-1:10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as
the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come
to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not
my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of
the living God.
28-3:1 Then
said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman
beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress,
according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to
other gods, and love flagons of wine.
28-4:4 Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for thy
people are as they that strive with the priest.
28-4:15 Though
thou, Israel, play the harlot, yet let not
Judah offend; and come not ye unto Gilgal, neither go ye up to Bethaven, nor
swear, The LORD liveth.
28-5:13 When
Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to
the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could
he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.
28-7:9 Strangers
have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are
here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not.
28-7:13 Woe unto
them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed
against me: though I have redeemed them, yet
they have spoken lies against me.
28-7:15 Though I
have bound and strengthened their arms, yet
do they imagine mischief against me.
28-9:12 Though
they bring up their children, yet will I bereave
them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to
them when I depart from them!
28-9:16 Ephraim
is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they
bring forth, yet will I slay even the
beloved fruit of their womb.
28-11:12 Ephraim
compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints.
28-12:8 And
Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found
me out substance: in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me
that were sin.
28-12:9 And I that
am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt will yet
make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.
28-13:4 Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of
Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside
me.
30-2:9 Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was
like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots
from beneath.
30-4:6 And I
also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in
all your places: yet have ye not returned unto
me, saith the LORD.
30-4:7 And also
I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to
rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was
rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.
30-4:8 So two or
three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not
satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me,
saith the LORD.
30-4:9 I have
smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and
your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them:
yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the
LORD.
30-4:10 I have
sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I
slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the
stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet
have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
30-4:11 I have
overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were
as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet
have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
30-6:10 And a
man’s uncle shall take him up, and he that burneth him, to bring out the bones
out of the house, and shall say unto him that is by the sides of the
house, Is there yet any with thee?
and he shall say, No. Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make
mention of the name of the LORD.
30-9:9 For, lo,
I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn
is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the
least grain fall upon the earth.
32-2:4 Then I
said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will
look again toward thy holy temple.
32-2:6 I went
down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about
me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life
from corruption, O LORD my God.
32-3:4 And Jonah
began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.
32-4:2 And he
prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my
saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore
I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God,
and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the
evil.
33-1:15 Yet will I bring an heir unto thee, O inhabitant of
Mareshah: he shall come unto Adullam the glory of Israel.
33-3:11 The heads
thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the
prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they
lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can
come upon us.
33-5:2 But
thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of
Judah, yet out of thee shall he come
forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have
been from of old, from everlasting.
33-6:10 Are there
yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of
the wicked, and the scant measure that is abominable?
34-1:12 Thus
saith the LORD; Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass
through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
34-2:8 But
Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet
they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look
back.
34-3:10 Yet was she carried away, she went into captivity:
her young children also were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets:
and they cast lots for her honourable men, and all her great men were bound in
chains.
35-2:3 For the
vision is yet for an appointed time, but
at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because
it will surely come, it will not tarry.
35-3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God
of my salvation.
37-2:4 Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and
be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye
people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith
the LORD of hosts:
37-2:6 For thus
saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a
little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the
dry land;
37-2:17 I smote
you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your
hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the
LORD.
37-2:19 Is the
seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate,
and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.
38-1:17 Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities
through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and
the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.
38-8:4 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men
and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff
in his hand for very age.
38-8:20 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; It shall yet come
to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:
38-11:15 And the
LORD said unto me, Take unto thee yet the
instruments of a foolish shepherd.
38-13:3 And it
shall come to pass, that when any shall yet
prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him,
Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his
father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he
prophesieth.
39-1:2 I have
loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein
hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,
39-2:14 Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been
witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt
treacherously: yet is she thy companion,
and the wife of thy covenant.
39-2:15 And did
not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the
spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed
to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
39-2:17 Ye have
wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say,
Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is
good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the
God of judgment?
39-3:8 Will a
man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say,
Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
39-3:13 Your
words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet
ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?
40-6:25 Therefore
I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye
shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye
shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
40-6:26 Behold
the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into
barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.
Are ye not much better than they?
40-6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory
was not arrayed like one of these.
40-10:10 Nor scrip
for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
40-12:46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother
and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
40-13:21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a
while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and
by he is offended.
40-15:16 And Jesus
said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
40-15:17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the
mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
40-15:27 And she
said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the
crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
40-16:9 Do ye not
yet understand, neither remember the five loaves
of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
40-17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them:
and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in
whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
40-19:20 The young
man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
40-24:6 And ye
shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these
things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
40-24:32 Now learn
a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet
tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
40-26:33 Peter
answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of
thee, yet will I never be offended.
40-26:35 Peter said
unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet
will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.
40-26:47 And while
he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve,
came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief
priests and elders of the people.
40-26:60 But found
none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet
found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,
40-27:63 Saying,
Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet
alive, After three days I will rise again.
41-5:35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the
synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why
troublest thou the Master any further?
41-6:26 And the
king was exceeding sorry; yet for his
oath’s sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her.
41-7:28 And she
answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the
dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs.
41-8:17 And when
Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no
bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand?
have ye your heart yet hardened?
41-11:13 And seeing
a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing
thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of
figs was not yet.
41-12:6 Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him
also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.
41-13:7 And when
ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such
things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.
41-13:28 Now learn
a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet
tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
41-14:29 But Peter
said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet
will not I.
41-14:43 And
immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas,
one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from
the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
41-15:5 But Jesus
yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.
42-3:20 Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.
42-8:49 While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the
synagogue’s house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the
Master.
42-9:42 And as he
was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and
tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child,
and delivered him again to his father.
42-11:8 I say
unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give
him as many as he needeth.
42-12:27 Consider
the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was
not arrayed like one of these.
42-14:22 And the
servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.
42-14:32 Or else,
while the other is yet a great way off, he
sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.
42-14:35 It is
neither fit for the land, nor yet for the
dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
42-15:20 And he
arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet
a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on
his neck, and kissed him.
42-15:29 And he
answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee,
neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my
friends:
42-18:5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge
her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
42-18:22 Now when
Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet
lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor,
and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
42-19:30 Saying, Go
ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall
find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat:
loose him, and bring him hither.
42-22:37 For I say
unto you, that this that is written must yet be
accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things
concerning me have an end.
42-22:47 And while
he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that
was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus
to kiss him.
42-22:60 And Peter
said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.
42-23:15 No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing
worthy of death is done unto him.
42-24:6 He is not
here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
42-24:41 And while
they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he
said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42-24:44 And he
said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which
were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the
psalms, concerning me.
43-2:4 Jesus
saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
43-3:24 For John
was not yet cast into prison.
43-4:21 Jesus
saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in
this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the
Father.
43-4:27 And upon
this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest
thou with her?
43-4:35 Say not
ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh
harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for
they are white already to harvest.
43-7:6 Then
Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but
your time is alway ready.
43-7:8 Go ye up
unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this
feast: for my time is not yet full come.
43-7:19 Did not
Moses give you the law, and yet none of
you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?
43-7:30 Then they
sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.
43-7:33 Then said
Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with
you, and then I go unto him that sent me.
43-7:39 (But this
spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the
Holy Ghost was not yet given; because
that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
43-8:14 Jesus
answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came,
and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.
43-8:16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not
alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
43-8:20 These
words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid
hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
43-8:55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I
should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him,
and keep his saying.
43-8:57 Then said
the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years
old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
43-9:30 The man
answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not
from whence he is, and yet he hath opened
mine eyes.
43-11:25 Jesus said
unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though
he were dead, yet shall he live:
43-11:30 Now Jesus
was not yet come into the town, but was in that
place where Martha met him.
43-12:35 Then Jesus
said unto them, Yet a little while is the light
with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he
that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
43-12:37 But though
he had done so many miracles before them, yet
they believed not on him:
43-13:33 Little
children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye
shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so
now I say to you.
43-14:9 Jesus
saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet
hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and
how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
43-14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more;
but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
43-14:25 These
things have I spoken unto you, being yet present
with you.
43-16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear
them now.
43-16:32 Behold,
the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his
own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone,
because the Father is with me.
43-19:41 Now in the
place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new
sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.
43-20:1 The first
day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone
taken away from the sepulchre.
43-20:5 And he
stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.
43-20:9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise
again from the dead.
43-20:17 Jesus
saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet
ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto
my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
43-20:29 Jesus
saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are
they that have not seen, and yet have
believed.
43-21:11 Simon
Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and
fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet
was not the net broken.
43-21:23 Then went
this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If
I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
44-7:5 And he gave
him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a
possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet
he had no child.
44-8:16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were
baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
44-9:1 And
Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and
slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
44-10:44 While
Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell
on all them which heard the word.
44-13:27 For they
that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every
sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
44-13:28 And though
they found no cause of death in him, yet
desired they Pilate that he should be slain.
44-18:18 And Paul after
this tarried there yet a good while,
and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with
him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn his head in Cenchrea: for he had
a vow.
44-19:37 For ye
have brought hither these men, which are neither robbers of churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess.
44-22:3 I am
verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and
taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was
zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.
44-24:11 Because
that thou mayest understand, that there are yet but
twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to worship.
44-25:8 While he
answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the
temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended
any thing at all.
44-28:4 And when
the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among
themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the
sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.
44-28:17 And it came
to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and
when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren,
though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the
hands of the Romans.
45-3:7 For if
the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
45-4:11 And he
received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith
which he had yet being uncircumcised:
that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised;
that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
45-4:12 And the
father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who
also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being
yet uncircumcised.
45-4:19 And being
not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about
an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness
of Sarah’s womb:
45-5:6 For when
we were yet without strength, in due time Christ
died for the ungodly.
45-5:7 For
scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet
peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
45-5:8 But God
commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us.
45-8:24 For we are
saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why
doth he yet hope for?
45-9:11 (For the
children being not yet born, neither having
done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might
stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
45-9:19 Thou wilt
say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault?
For who hath resisted his will?
45-11:30 For as ye
in times past have not believed God, yet have
now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
45-16:19 For your
obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your
behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that
which is good, and simple concerning evil.
46-2:6 Howbeit
we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet
not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to
nought:
46-2:15 But he that
is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself
is judged of no man.
46-3:2 I have
fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear
it, neither yet now are ye able.
46-3:3 For ye
are yet carnal: for whereas there is among
you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
46-3:15 If any
man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be
saved; yet so as by fire.
46-4:4 For I
know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby
justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
46-4:15 For
though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet
have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you
through the gospel.
46-5:10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world,
or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye
needs go out of the world.
46-7:10 And unto
the married I command, yet not I, but the
Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
46-7:25 Now concerning
virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I
give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.
46-8:2 And if
any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.
46-9:2 If I be
not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am
to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.
46-9:19 For
though I be free from all men, yet have I
made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
46-12:20 But now are
they many members, yet but one body.
46-12:31 But covet
earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto
you a more excellent way.
46-14:19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with
my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand
words in an unknown tongue.
46-14:21 In the law
it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak
unto this people; and yet for all that will they
not hear me, saith the Lord.
46-15:10 But by the
grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me
was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
46-15:17 And if
Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
47-1:10 Who
delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he
will yet deliver us;
47-1:23 Moreover
I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth.
47-4:8 We
are troubled on every side, yet not
distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
47-4:16 For which
cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet
the inward man is renewed day by day.
47-5:16 Wherefore
henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ
after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him
no more.
47-6:8 By
honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;
47-6:9 As
unknown, and yet well known; as dying,
and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;
47-6:10 As
sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
47-8:9 For ye
know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his
poverty might be rich.
47-9:3 Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you
should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready:
47-11:6 But
though I be rude in speech, yet not in
knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.
47-11:16 I say
again, Let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet
as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little.
47-12:5 Of such
an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not
glory, but in mine infirmities.
47-13:4 For
though he was crucified through weakness, yet he
liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with
him by the power of God toward you.
48-1:10 For do I
now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of
Christ.
48-2:20 I am
crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet
not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I
live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
48-3:4 Have ye
suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet
in vain.
48-3:15 Brethren,
I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or
addeth thereto.
48-5:11 And I,
brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I
yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of
the cross ceased.
49-5:29 For no
man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth
and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
50-1:9 And this
I pray, that your love may abound yet more and
more in knowledge and in all judgment;
50-1:22 But if I
live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.
50-2:25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you
Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your
messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.
51-1:21 And you,
that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
51-2:5 For
though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with
you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of
your faith in Christ.
52-2:6 Nor of
men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of
others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.
53-2:5 Remember
ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told
you these things?
53-3:15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him
as a brother.
55-2:5 And if a
man also strive for masteries, yet is he
not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
55-2:13 If we
believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he
cannot deny himself.
57-1:9 Yet for love’s sake I rather beseech thee, being
such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.
58-2:8 Thou
hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in
subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now
we see not yet all things put under him.
58-4:15 For we
have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our
infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
58-5:8 Though
he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the
things which he suffered;
58-7:10 For he
was yet in the loins of his father, when
Melchisedec met him.
58-7:15 And it is
yet far more evident: for that after the
similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
58-9:8 The Holy
Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
58-9:25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high
priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
58-10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come,
and will not tarry.
58-11:4 By faith
Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he
obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it
he being dead yet speaketh.
58-11:7 By faith
Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet,
moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he
condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
58-12:4 Ye have
not yet resisted unto blood, striving against
sin.
58-12:26 Whose
voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also
heaven.
58-12:27 And this word,
Yet once more, signifieth the removing of
those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things
which cannot be shaken may remain.
59-2:10 For
whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet
offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
59-2:11 For he
that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit
no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a
transgressor of the law.
59-3:4 Behold
also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of
fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a
very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
59-4:2 Ye lust,
and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war,
yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
60-1:8 Whom
having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and
full of glory:
60-4:16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him
not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
62-3:2 Beloved,
now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet
appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be
like him; for we shall see him as he is.
65-1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the
devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a
railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
66-6:11 And white
robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they
should rest yet for a little season, until their
fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should
be fulfilled.
66-8:13 And I
beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a
loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the
other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
66-9:20 And the
rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet
repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils,
and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither
can see, nor hear, nor walk:
66-17:8 The beast
that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit,
and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose
names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world,
when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet
is.
66-17:10 And there
are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short
space.
66-17:12 And the
ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the
beast.
